Hey guys - Do you believe the Obama campaign is deliberately holding back on the full force of the 47% video until the last 2 weeks? There is so much in there that can be used to club Romney with his own words; from not believing in middle east peace; just kicking the can down the road and hoping nothing happens; the economy goes up by them doing nothing; etc....Although the single most damning line has to be "I will never be able to convince these people to take responsibility for their lives"...

Seriously - if the president looked into the camera after that single line was played and said he believed everyone absolutely takes responsibility for their lives in this country - thats what Americans do - it would be game over. He could even take 10 seconds to explain those who Romney was labeling as government dependent victims are retirees, veterans, and families taking advantage of the child tax credit policies both parties have championed....not necessarily republicans.

Romney has utterly disqualified himself from being president - not only with the original statements, but worse with the doubling down and defending of these statements. It's truly embarassing for the country to watch the Sunday shows and have the likes of Ann Coulter and Bay Buchannon say his comments have been misconstrued. Ridiculous.

What Romney should have done was say he sincerely apologizes for these comments as they do not reflect his real heart about this country. He was trying to fire up some donors and his rhetoric got way out of hand.

I'm sorry, but Romney is a tone deaf idiot who should rightfully get wiped out on November 6th.

Two questions;

1. What's been the most surprising/interesting development of this political season?

B. What's the impact of third party candidates (i.e. Johnson, Goode, etc.) on the

Presidential contest?

Bonus question: Mark and Domenico, if you could be a tree, do you think it would be

the "right" height? ;^)

Where is the GOP/RNC "Romulian's" past Tax returns? How much money did the GOP/RNC "Speculator and Chief" in his one of many offshore accounts? His 2011 Tax Return looks very bad for someone wanting to be President. One wonders what his Tax Returns from 10 Years look like? The GOP/RNC "Tax Cheat and Chief" has so many past tax violations. That it would disqualify him from being President. Why is the IRS not auditing his past tax returns?

Could you address why the polls typically include an uneven number of Republicans and Democrats? Is this related to the number of registered voters in each party in the country and/or state? Is this related to the number of likely voters in each party in the country and/or state? Is the number of likely voters adjusted differently on a state by state basis and/or party by party basis?

I will wait for the experts to answer you but from what I understand, it is supposed to reflect the actual turnout ratios from the 2008 election voters.

Talk and Middle - in order for a poll to be "reasonably accurate" it requires a random sampling. The polls don't call from lists of Republicans or Democrats, they randomly sample across the US and the person responding self-identifies as to which party they belong to or prefer.

Now, depending on the size of the poll, they "weight" the responses based on a factors such as previous turnout ratios in order to "reduce the randomness" (or possible error factor). For instance imagine if a random sampling of 100 calls got 99 self-identified Democrats and 1 self-identified Libertarian. Based on this poll, Gov. Romney might not be projected receive any votes. Clearly this would be a random sampling issue. However, if the poll included say 10,000 respondents, then the party proportions would be more accurate and the weighting would not be required.

Are there any signs that the Republican Super Pac money is moving away from Romney and to congressional and senate candidates? If so, does this say anything about how they feel about Romney's chances?

        RTFS

I can tell you the Republican Super Pac money is pummelling Independent candidate Angus King in Maine - they even paid for ads promoting the Democratic candidate, in order to take votes away from King! That was a very strange thing to see: "vote for Cynthia Dill, Democratic candidate for Senate, Paid for by the Republican Super Pac."

Also, the Republicans are attacking King for being a successful businessman who "made millions in the private sector!" I kid you not!

What is strange is liberals pretending that Angus King is "independent"....how disingenuous.

        Question:

Which is the more important Presidential debate, the first, or the last? Most seem to think the first debate is the most critical. Yet even if one candidate stumbles, the next debate is always there to turn the tables...

Whereas a blunder in the last debate, closer to the election, would seemingly be more critical...

        • I'd like to see more objectivity and facts in reporting. Do you think you're up to the task? Like "X said this, but the fact(s) is (are) this."
        • What bothers me the most about the MSM is they tend to go off on useless snippets of information in stories to fill up white space, that have absolutely NOTHING to do with the story at hand. Is there a word count quota of some kind?
        • Also, why don't you challenge the lie, instead of tip toeing around the tulips for a BS answer we all know you're going to get? Afraid the challengee will not appear again?

I may sound a little harsh, but nothing ticks me off more than reporters echanging opinions instead of facts, conveniently "editing" the story, and not paying attention to details.

        Thanks.

PS please find another model for a forum posting tool. This one we're using is terrible. For instance, I wanted my questions to be bullet points but the formatting code just increased the font size.

If the debt is such a big issue, when will it be balanced with the GOP plan? I thought I understood that with the in touch GOP plan the balancing of the budget would only be by 2023, if all was to happen by the GOP gods. Of course, who knows what traitors might decide to pledge to screw us over in an effort to win the next election and mess up that date too. So what is there plan to balance the budget and when?

Don't Forget the president said I only need four years to fix this problem. I'm still waiting! I can't believe how many brain washed Americans are out there.

Why doesn't the Obama campaign make more of the fact that Romney said that we shouldn't try to stop the foreclosure process. Let the homeowner lose the home and then let investors go in and make a killing....that should be the final straw in the 47% fiasco.

            Thanks for taking questions.

The investors are already making a killing. It's shameful. The lenders won't work with the homeowners but then they will foreclose, pay a commission, and sell to an investor for peanuts. That doesn't do anything but help investors and help to further depress property values. There really ought to be a law.

I just saw a report that Ryan has reportedly begun to refer to Romney as "the Stench", could Romney "fire" him now? If that were to happen, how would a new VP candidate be chosen?

How about asking Ryan about this story from Veterans Today

GOP VP Candidate Ryan Pleaded for Obamacare

When it came to opening a new health
center in his own congressional district, Republican Paul Ryan—yes, the same
one who is denouncing Obamacare around the country—wrote to the Federal
department of Health and Human Services begging for bucks.

            While GOP vice-presidential hopeful
Ryan today savages Obamacare as “irresponsible,” an editorial in the Nov. 1 The
            Nation
magazine reports that on Dec. 10, 2010 Congressman Ryan wrote HHS
“to recommend a grant application for the Kenosha Community Health Center Inc.
to develop a new facility in Racine, Wis., an area within Ryan’s district.”

In his letter, Ryan declared, “The
proposed new facility, the Belle City Neighborhood Health Center, will serve
both the preventative and comprehensive primary health care needs of thousands
of new patients of all ages who are currently without health care.”

            “The grant Ryan requested was
directly funded by the Affordable Care Act,” the magazine pointed out. The
            Nation’s
editorial said Ryan’s letter “is a stark reminder that even the
most ardent opponents of Obamacare privately acknowledge many of the law’s
            benefits.”

            “Federally funded health clinics
have long provided a broad range of vital medical, dental and mental health
services to underprivileged communities across the country, regardless of a
person’s ability to pay,” the editorial added.

            To improve its coverage, the
Affordable Care Act provides for a sweeping expansion of such clinics,
including $9.5 billion for operating costs to existing centers and $1.5 billion
            for new construction.

Whatever he might have felt in his
heart for the poor in Racine, Wis., as their congressman, Republican candidate
Ryan is having none of that bleeding heart stuff today. On the campaign trail,
he has been calling Obamacare “irresponsible” and part of “Washington’s
            reckless spending spree.”

What is the probability of the Senate control changing hands ?

Is the House in play... if Romney's meltdown continues, will it be possible for Democrats to take control ?

Everyone talks about budget cuts. What should be or shouldn't be cut. But I don't see one member of goverement willing to take a pay cut!

They say we need to cut spending, but yet goverement offical's don't take a cut in their paycheck, they are increasing there pay, why is this?

I would like someone to ask Mr Romney this: If you have a person who is making $20 an hour, who is struggling to pay their bills but doing it. Keeping the house payment as well as other bills current, and cut their pay to $10 an hour, How do you think that will effect the economy? I ask this question because it is something that is in Mr. Romney's campiagn platform.

Ask a progressive blogger not to use the terms "Bush", "Halliburton", "Cheney" or "oil" for one day. They will not be able to comment on anything since these subjects seem to gnaw at their collective brains.

Did Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan sign Grover Norquist's pledge to not raise taxes ?

If so, what impact will that have on the upcoming "fiscal cliff", raising the debt ceiling, and eventual budget negotiations ?

Effectively, does such a pledge eliminate the ability of someone to govern ?
