Obama camp unveils latest TV ad hitting Romney over 47% comment

The Obama campaign announced it will begin airing a second TV ad hitting Romney over his “47%” remarks. The ad will run in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Virginia. (Note the state where this won't air: Wisconsin.)

The first TV ad seizing on "47%" -- released yesterday -- was specific to just Ohio.

The script of this latest TV ad:

When Mitt Romney dismissed 47% of Americans for not pulling their weight, he attacked millions of hard working people making 25, 35, 45 thousand dollars a year…
They pay social security taxes. State taxes. Local taxes. Gas, sales, and property taxes.
Romney paid just 14 percent in taxes last year.
On over 13 million in income.
Almost all from investments.
Instead of attacking folks who work for a living…
Shouldn’t we stand up for them?

Romney maybe the worst candidate ever. This guy oozes insincerity, shallowness, and arrogance. Suggesting that half the country doesn't contribute when they clearly pay more than their fair share of taxes. Romney would truly be the president Palin we never had.

We can't take another 4 years of Obummer. He did not fix the situation and therefore he said himself he would be a 1 term president. He should keep his word and pack up and go back to Chicago. Maybe he can work in Ralm's cabinet.

Obama is not going back to Chicago. He and Moochelle are in the process of buying a $35,000,000.00 beachfront mansion in Hawaii. You can see it if you google Obama's Hawaiian Mansion. For you democrat communists, that number after the dollar sign is 35 million. And he is one of you 99%ers. hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Hey Mitt....you want to be President yet you double your invetments in foreign countries in 2011....what kind of person who is running for president does that??? That is what you and the other 1% would do with more tax cuts.....invest overseas....not in America.

Mitt Romney and his wife, Ann, more than doubled their investment income from foreign sources in 2011 versus 2010, i ncluding some sources in tax havens around the world, according to tax returns released by the Republican presidential nominee's campaign.

      Think!

Is the country better off today?

Look at the Dow, at jobs going up rather than down, at optimistic retailers preparing for the holidays, at our foreign policy successes. Four years ago, Bin Laden was still at large. Al Qaeda was still strong. Obama faced the Augean stables and has cleared out some space, but has much more shoveling to do. If the Republicans in Congress would help rather than hinder, we might have them done or nearly so. However, the sole purpose of those obstructionists in Congress has been to hurt everyone by making the economy as bad as possible so that they could beat Obama. They almost made it happen.

Imagine someone following you around and getting you fired from every job you could get and then asking for your vote. That's what the Republicans have been, in effect, doing.

I remember when you could be proud to be a Republican, when I could even vote for them on occasion. Then, along came the right shift that eventually became the Koch-financed tea party. They're hijacked the GOP so that it's no longer grand. That's the party of Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt. Funny how you never hear them talk about Teddy any more.

I just wish that Republicans would be for something for a change.

Oh, they're for "jobs" and lower taxes and fiscal responsibility, but that's nonsense given their record. Besides, the only prescription they'll provide for specifics is more of the Bush era policies that got us here in the first place.

It's time to finish taking America back. We, all of us, broke a huge barrier by electing an African-American (literally) as President. The tea party didn't like that and pushed back. Now, the real majority has to respond by making huge Democratic majorities across the country and in Congress so that we can repair the damage that's been underway for so long and has been stalled by the do-nothing Republicans in Congress.

America is great. It's people can do anything. Let's do it!

Better alternative than Romney. The GOP calls, along with Romney/Ryan, for "peace through strength", whatever that means. If Romney wants another war in the middle east, why not say so. "Peace through strength", if it means what the GOP seems to think it means, really worked well in Iraq and Afghanistan. Eight years of Romney/Ryan would see billions of US funds spent on more useless wars.

Romney said in an interview that if he did not take all the deductions and pay the least he was legally required to pay, he should be unqualified to be President. The only reason he paid 14% was that he DID NOT take all the deductions he was qualified to take.....if so, his rate would have been much lower. What a moron.

You're right. As the news reported the ranks of bartenders, maids and service workers has grown phenomenally. Since they are all at minimum wage it does indicate equal pay. As for health care, we all can't wait for the new tax to kick in.

what Romney should say is that he's going to SHRINK 47% and get more people out of unemployment or underemployment.

Obama on the other hand, would increase 47% and take this country deeper in debt, which is not what most people in this country want!

yeah, let's shrink 47%, and push for tax reform to generate more tax revenue to reduce this country's debt and deficit. that is this country aiming for!

but ask yourself: why should we believe Obama is going to do anything different than past 4 years? you must have believed his promises 4 years ago, right? are you happy with his broken promises?

I know homes are being foreclosed on everyday

I know gas prices are sky high

I know I blew it on Solendra, I was even told it would fail

I know the world thinks America is a joke

Please, Please give me another chance.

I have no job skills, and I do not want to put my kids on my Health care plan.

I wish I knew how to create jobs, but I've never done it before.

Jack, now isn't that the truth. But no need to think that liberals even care about the facts. King Obama is their messiah, he walks on water to them. It doesn't matter that he never held a job, literally. He is the great one.

In Obama's situation, On The Job Training has had very little effect.

I can't wait until November and Obama wins, I'm betting or maybe hoping for a mass suicide by the uneducated gun slinging Republican crowd.
