It is easy for Romney to criticize Obama's foreign policy in the Middle East based on recent events there. However, the outrage over the provocative, anti-Muslim film will pass. The killing of our ambassador to Libya is resulting in moves by the Libyan government, as demanded by many Libyans, to take control or dismantle the many militia groups that operate there. This may well result in a more stable, pro-American government there.

Romney seeks to take political advantage from these events, while he offers no definitive foreign policy of his own. He sounds like he thinks threatening war will work there. But, he will find that empty threats will only undermine America's credibility there. What then? Go to war to make his threats real. This is no foreign policy, but only warmongering at its worst.

Romney is showing his ignorance here and I hope that Americans will get over their anger and realize that Obama's approach is the wisest available. Peace making calls for patience and restraint. Romney has shown neither quality.

Romney has also shown he has no respect for democracy in action in Egypt. He pretends that somehow he could determine who Egyptian voters choose to be their President. The 2 ushers tried to talk to me, but I couldn't hear either. I was laughing too damn loud. Think they were asking me to settle down, but I'll just be gwaddamned if I could. D'Souza seems to suggest that if a onetime friend of Obama's late father holds those opinions, so, too, must the president himself. [Hmmm, the same father who left him at 2 and didn't visit but once when he was 10? How much more tenuous can you get?]

— D'Souza rightly argues that the national debt has risen to $16 trillion under Obama. But he never mentions the explosion of debt that occurred under Obama's predecessor, Republican George W. Bush, nor the 2008 global financial crisis that provoked a shock to the U.S. economy.

— D'Souza says Obama is "weirdly sympathetic to Muslim jihadists" in Afghanistan and Pakistan. He does not mention that Obama ordered the raid that killed Osama bin Laden and the drone strikes that have killed dozens of other terrorists in the region.

_D'Souza wrongly claims that Obama wants to return control of the Falkland Islands from Britain to Argentina. The U.S. refused in April to endorse a final declaration on Argentina's claim to the islands at the Summit of the Americas, provoking criticism from other Latin American nations.

_D'Souza says Obama has "done nothing" to impede Iran's nuclear ambitions, despite the severe trade and economic sanctions his administration has imposed on that country to halt its suspected nuclear program. Obama opposes a near-term military strike on Iran, either by the U.S. or Israel, although he says the U.S. will never tolerate a nuclear-armed Iran.

— D'Souza says Obama removed a bust of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill from the Oval Office because Churchill represented British colonialism. Pres. Obama honored the recently killed Ambassador Stevens on numerous occasions as heroic, wise, beloved, etc..

It has been a long road for us in the Middle East. We have lost many brave soldiers in Afghanistan in a 10 years War and we have lost 4000 soldiers in the Iraq War that was ended last year after 8 long years. We lost 4 more brave men in Libya recently and there have been protests and riots elsewhere in the Middle East over that provocative anti-Muslim film. But we are making progress on this long road to peace. There will always be a few bumps on the road to peace.

That you choose to twist this metaphor about bumps in the road to attack Obama says more about your bias than it says anything about Pres. Obama.

Rradiko, Obama was never a professor, just a lecturer. In the ten or so years he never published a scholarly article. Neither did he do so when he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. On Letterman's show, he didn't know what the national debt was and he thought that we didn't need to worry about the deficits he has run in the short term. I guess his plan is to worry about them when the national debt is $25 trillion (instead of $16 trillion) and blame it on Bush.The guy is an empty suit, in way over his head, Exhibit A for why affirmative action is a really, really bad idea.

By any measurement this president has been a failure. Amazes me how liberals can look at the last four years and do anything else but throw their hands up and admit the last four years was a FAILURE by any reasonable and logical review

How will anything Romney proposes make things better? Be specific. How can right wingers look at Bush's 8 years and want a repeat under Romney? How will cutting taxes 5 trillion, spending 260 billion more a year on defense and funding a new massive space program lower our debt? Be specific. The problem with the right is all they have is bashing Obama because attempting to sell Romney is a guaranteed loss.

Dear Mr. President (and all you Obama drone supporters out there):

This Iran threat has not happened overnight.... Over the last decade prior administrations have kept Iran in check through sanctions and open threat of military intervention if necessary... Iran no longer feels the need to hide its agenda.... Why? Because, as President, you have displayed a weak administration that apologizes for America instead of taking a strong military stance... During your first term as President the Iranian crisis has been growing steadily; yet, you do nothing... Libya, Afghanistan, Palestine, Egypt, Iran, etc, etc, etc.., have stepped up their intent to attack Israel and their allies (predominately America).. And you give them billions in foreign aid, while our domestic economy crumbles... You downsize and degrade our military. You bow to leaders of other countries and you show no support toward Israel, except when you swing through Florida for those old folks Jewish votes.... Our Ambassador is killed and our consulate attacked and you apologize for America...

Mr. President, you ask for another fours years... My question to you... What makes any voter think the next four years will be any different than the last four years... I, for one, don't need a out of control national debt, that will rise to 22+ Trillion, under your projected budget, by 2022. I, for one, don't need a president who believes the longest consistent history of national unemployment levels since WWII, is just fine and the economy will turn around soon or later... I, for one, do not want a President who had Carte Blanche to push through his legislative agendas during the first 2 1/2 years of his presidency and this country is no better off. I, for one, do not want more government control over my life and my health.. I am an adult and can make my own decisions and face my own consequences for bad one.. I for one do not want to become a creature of entitlements, living off government handouts as your policies project. I, for one, cannot respect a President who openly states his embarrassment for the nation he is suppose to be representing.. Gas prices are rising again, jobs are still far and few between, home foreclosures are not slowing down, our economy is declining and you believe you have done a good job...

Mr. President, in your campaign... You ask this nation to move "Forward". However, I must ask you, how can we move forward when your policies in place create further economic and personal freedom decline?

Finally, Mr. President, I am a small business owner... , AND YES, MR. PRESIDENT, I DID BUILD MY BUSINESS.... I didn't receive any government loans or handouts.. I worked hard keeping my business afloat in good times and bad... As an employer, when an employee produces substandard or negative business impacting work... You replace them... Plain and simple. You get rid of the lazy or ineffective employees and bring in employees that will create teamwork, positive customer service and afford a business profitability...... Mr. President, it is important for an employee to follow company policy and guidelines... Your guideline and policy, Mr. President, was the Oath of Office you took in 2009, promising to uphold and sustain the Constitution.. Part of the Constitution is Immigration... If you have a problem with company policy, you remit revisions, suggest amendments and repeals.... You don't ignore and disregard policy in place, create your own policies and sue states that are forced to take matters into their own hands, due to your lack of federal support!.. What kind of business would this nation be if every individual made their own personal laws and guidelines... Two words, "Utter Chaos"...

So, Mr. President, as an American Voter, I am your employer. I have listened to your unending excuses; afforded you plenty of Congressional opportunities to put promises into actions; have warned you that your policies are negatively impacting this nation through nationwide opinion polls over the last four years; watched you rewrite and ignore policies and laws in place; and have given you ample time to fix your mistakes.... As an employer, I don't have a problem with employees who make mistakes.. I have a problem with employees who won't own up to their own mistakes and learn from them....

I am sorry, Sir, but it is time to release you from your position of employment and bring in a better qualified candidate who understands the economy and how to actually fix things... No, No, No.. begging and making more empty promises won't help.. However, because I am a fair and equatable employer; I won't actually terminate your services until the November elections; and, will offer you a free ride home to Chicago in January... Please see the Human Resource Department for your severance package and residual benefits available...

Oh yes, one final reminder, please tell your wife to turn in her credit cards... As a taxpayer and your employer, this business, better known as the United States of America, will no longer be held responsible for spent millions on her and her friends shopping sprees, A List Hotels, European Runway Clothing Shows, etc..... Your wife's spending habits have blown your allocated budget out the window....
