Whenever I hear Romney spouting another round of lies it makes me happy that this election is almost over. It is sickening how one political party can lie like the Republicans do. As despicable as their behavior has been. there is one good thing that has happened during the campaigning and that is that Romney and almost every other Republicans have managed to expose themselves as the self serving, greedy bunch of jerks that they truly are. Everyone I’ve talked to recently is fed up with the GREEDY OLD PARTY and will be voting for Democrats, Independents or Libertarians.

I my entire life I’ve never seen anything like the current Republican Party; it’s almost like they have forgotten what it means to be American……. Sure they talk a great game about family values and patriotism but Americans aren’t stupid and most of us see how empty their words are.

This country is made up of people from all around the world, people of different creeds and cultures. Instead of respecting that fact the Republican Party has chosen to play a game of divide and conquer; well I’ve got news for them, people aren’t buying their lies anymore. The American people know what racism looks like and who actually speaks for them and their families.

The GOP is now known as the Party of fear, hate and division that only represents the wealthy, big corporations and foreign special interest…. They cannot fairly or effectively govern when these are the only things they really stand up for and protect…..

The Republican Party thinks that with enough money and lies they will buy this election and they normally they would be right, but this time they have angered and underestimated the American people because they WILL be come out in vast numbers to express their anger with their votes .………. We must return America to a real government of, by and for the people, not the special interest greed the Republican Party represents……….

I haven't been impressed by the things the president wanted to get implemented and did indeed do so...so why would I yearn for more of his ideas to be put into law ???

And the reason he has had things blocked is that from day one, he estabished an antagonistic relationship with the Reublican side of the aisle ( "I won and you lost" ) and barely invited them to the table for his first two years in office. So what has he done since ??? Insults Republicans...I guess, in the confusing theory that one can ' attract more flies with vinegar than with honey'.

But the central part of the problem is that Mr. Obama is a loner and a lousy political leader. He has no relationships with members of the right and barely any relationships with those on the left. Bill Clinton had half his opposition on speed dial. He always kept influential Republicans close at hand. That's how he got things done. And his goal was indeed getting things done. Mr. Obama's goal is getting votes...so he feels that if he makes a speech and just keeps villifying Republicans, he'll get applause, money, and votes. Unfortunately, that hasn't helped the nation deal with it's problems.

I do not equate Congress "coming to it's senses"( meaning give the president what he wants )...with this nation moving 'forward'. And if giving this president "another chance" means having my tax dollar pay for for more years of a rudderless ship, I'll take a pass.

By the time November comes around, Republicans are going to have everybody gagging from their relentless Republican hate speech and talking points!

NCarolina12, the problem with seeing if Mitt used the amnesty program is that it would do nothing to change the minds of either side of the aisle. The right would claim he has done nothing that can be prosecuted, which the right already claims. The left would depict him as dishonest and only looking out for #1, which the left already does. Obamacare DOES take $500 billion from Medicare to pay for Obamacare over a 10 year time frame! Whether you believe Obama's lie or not. This was inevitable because the lies and misdirection and partisan flacking was getting so desperate, a tipping point had to be in sight, and last night it finally tipped.

Last night, before the applause had even died after VP nominee Paul Ryan's masterful speech, CNN's Wolf Blitzer was calling Ryan a liar. Before the echoes of Ryan's last words had even faded, Blitzer was telling America the fact-checkers would take issue with the speech.

Within minutes afterwards, the lying, disgraced media fact-checkers dutifully followed suit with a flurry of lying, disgraced checking of Ryan's facts.

This was undoubtedly pre-planned and organized between Team Obama and his Media Palace Guards.

Hilariously, even though Paul Ryan never blamed Obama for closing a GM plant in his hometown or said the closing occurred during the Obama administration, the fact-checkers said he did and that Ryan was a liar for saying so. What's even more hilarious is that the GM plant did close down months after Obama took office. Keep in mind here, I'm not talking about left-wing sites. I'm talking about CNN, PolitiFact, The Washington Post…

Yes, this is a turning point.

To his great credit, our nominee Mitt Romney was ahead of this curve in refusing to cave (as John McCain often did) to these Obama-worshipping propagandists. Drop dead, Romney told the media fact checkers, and he did so publicly.

Never again will these left-wing hacks have an impact on American politics beyond being just another Democrat Talking Point Machine like every other "objective" media outlet. Never again will Republican candidates cower before these liars.

This is huge loss for the corrupt media. And they know it. But they Kamikazee'd themselves for Obama and only have themselves to blame.

Alot of these people are retired and on social security and some are vets, some are people who can't work and some are people that won't work and some are refugee illegals, like ubama. He wants to cut corporate taxes.

He wants to shift the entire burden of federal retraining onto the states.

He wants even more Free Trade agreements.

He wants to completely undo all of Obama's policies.

He wants even more domestic drilling even though we are doing so at record numbers already.

He wants to expedite the process to get drilling permits under the guise of safety records.

As far as I can tell, he will just reboot all of Bush JR's policies.

I like how one of the charts, show 2007-2009 as all Obama's economy. Last I checked, Obama took office in 2009.

It is vital that we move quickly to reduce the corporate tax rate and put American companies on a level playing field.

That statement is impossible, unless we are willing to remove all regulations and pay workers under a dollar an hour. That is where the current level playing field is.

Bucket, I dont feel sorry for her, or any of the republican surrogates. She has a mind of her own and obviously is not using it, unlike David Brooks and to a lesser extendm, Joe Scarborough. Because we have the highest corporate tax in the world and by cutting rates, companies can repatriate money they're holding overseas, repatriate jobs that were sent overseas, and provide incentives for companies to invest and hire. Hire people - people pay taxes on earnings - more tax revenue for the government. Do you think corporate taxes should increase or stay the same?

He wants to shift the entire burden of federal retraining onto the states. No, not the entire burden. But states can probably do a better job of job training. States know the employment opportunities in their states, they know the skills employers in their states are looking for....moreso than the broad vision federal government. Do you know the Federal Department of Labor's goal in it's job training program is that 50% of people in the program either find work or go back to school? They have a 50% failure rate as their stated goal! And they praised themselves in their annual report when they met that goal....of failing half the people they were supposed to help.

He wants even more Free Trade agreements. The only Trade Agreements that were ratified under the Obama administration were ones that President Bush negotiated. President Obama hasn't focused on trade agreements at all. Trade agreements set a fairer playing field and create jobs. Don't you want to see unemployment go down? Even a tad?

President Obama touts within his points of success that we're drilling more than ever. He neglects to say the increased drilling is the result of permits that were in process prior to his inauguration, and just made their way to approval. There are safe ways to drill. Safe drilling yields more oil, creates jobs, brings prices down for everybody.

The point was, of course, the details are out there.

Are we better off that we were in 2008? Yes we are.

We are better off, because we no longer are losing 7000 jobs per month, instead creating new jobs.

We are better off because the economy is growing rather than contracting at 6%.

We are better off because the DOW is up over 5,000 points in the last 4 years.

We are better off, because Osama is dead and GM is alive.

We are better off, because we no longer are fighting war in Iraq and spending billions of dollars of US tax payers’ money there.

We are better off because we now have a well defined policy in Afghanistan, and we have dismantled the Al-Quada.

We are better off, because we have a president who is working to build the middle class everyday.

Yes, but more work needs to be done but we are much better off that we were in 2008.

Candice: I would love to address all your talking points but I don't have the time or energy, and speaking of energy you are ignorant to believe that more drilling in America means lower gas prices. It is exported at the global market price to generate more profit for Oil Companies. They could care less what you have to pay for a gallon of gas. Neither could Romney as I am sure he has stocks and makes Capital Gains which allows him the luxury of paying a lower tax rate on his earnings than most private citizens.

Republicans -- if you don't come up with different faces, better candidates, and better ideas before 2016, you just may have another President Clinton to deal with.

Sad, isn't it, to think that Romney was the best the Republicans thought they could do? The Moderates in the Republican Party sat back and allowed this to happen and now they have to deal with the consequences of turning away from this craziness.
