Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., the Republican vice presidential candidate, and Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., share a laugh with waitress Lourdes Alcerro during a campaign stop Saturday at Versailles restaurant in the Little Havana neighborhood of Miami.
MIAMI -- Paul Ryan made a direct appeal to the large Hispanic population in south Florida on Saturday morning as he spoke inside the popular Versailles Restaurant with several prominent Florida politicians.
“I learned from these friends, from Mario, from Lincoln, from Ileana, just how brutal the Castro regime is, just how this president's policy of appeasement is not working,” Ryan said standing next to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and the chairwoman of the House Foreign Relations Committee, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla.
Ryan vowed to the crowd, which sang “God Bless America” upon the congressman’s arrival: “In a Mitt Romney administration, we will not keep practicing this policy of appeasement; we will be tough on this brutal dictator; all it has done is rewarded more despotism … we will help those pro-democracy groups. We will be tough on Castro, tough on Chavez. And it’s because we know that's the right policy for our country."
These words mark Ryan’s first comments on how a President Romney would handle relations with Cuba.
Several dozen turned out to see the Republican vice presidential nominee on a rainy morning in Miami and Ryan was sure to give a shout-out to the popular Republican leaders from the area, including Sen. Marco Rubio, and two brothers who spoke to the crowd ahead of Ryan, Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart and former Rep. Lincoln Diaz-Balart.
Bush, introducing Ryan, helped the Wisconsin native learn a little Spanish.
"I need to teach Paul one word in Spanish,” the brother of former President George W. Bush and son of former President George H. W. Bush said. “Here we call this ‘una aguacera.’ This was just a little tropical rainstorm.”
Romney's youngest son, Craig, was also on hand and addressed the crowd in Spanish as many of the other politicians did as well.
Ryan began his visit to the famous Cuban establishment by enjoying a cup of Café Colatta with the former governor and Rep. Ros-Lehtinen but wasted no time attacking President Barack Obama during his speech to Floridians.
“Just a couple days ago on Univision, President Obama admitted that he can't change Washington from the inside. Why do we send presidents to the White House in the first place?” he asked. “I mean, we send presidents to change and fix the mess in Washington. And if this president has admitted that he can't change Washington, then you know what, we need to change presidents."
Ryan mingled his way thru the packed restaurant after his brief remarks and even insisted on giving the woman running against Democratic National Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz a hug.
Saturday’s appearance in the Sunshine State marked Ryan’s sixth public event as the Romney-Ryan ticket tries to win the state’s 29 electoral votes in November.
Bush made a bold prediction about his state as he spoke to reporters following the event: “Romney is going to carry Florida.”

I imagine it is a lot of work to set up one of these events and this is the best they can do--a restaurant? Way to reach a lot of voters, Romney campaign. Or maybe they couldn't fill a larger venue?
I imagine it is a lot of work to set up one of these events and this is the best they can do--a restaurant?

But the crowd was so exited to see him! All eleven of them.

Rich words for a guy that lies every time that he opens his mouth. Good luck with those lies. We watched his "success"in Louisiana, and we can see how his policies are not convincing anybody.
Nothing like listening to Mitt Romney telling us "how he does not care" for the poor already twice.
Obama/Biden 2012
So given that Feisty has been suspended [yet again, the poor old dear] anyone think she just might actually go outside today?
Say Irespond - how come O and Hillary put out a TEVE ad in Pakistan about videos and religious intolerance when then know full well [now] that the murder of our ambassador was a coordinated terrorist attack?
Oh, and do you consider Susan Rice to be a liar when she stated over and over last Sunday that it was all about the video? Think she'll be back out the tomorrow?
I wonder what she is up to this weekend.
In the scheme of things in this, my state, what the republican party can do about our policies towards Cuba, doesn't amount to much. The older Cubans maybe so, but they are a dying breed, the next generation are more interested in the economy and are more likely to vote Democratic along with many other Hispanics.
What this ballyhooed event with just a dozen or so in attendance was all about is as big a mystery as to why any woman would vote republican.
BTW, anyone have any insight as to where Romney is today, he rarely seems to campaign on the weekends, is it a religious thing?
Everytime Ryan blames Obama for the dsyfunction in DC, I to shout:
Ryan you are part of the problem!
Your fourteen years in Congress only contributed to the mess!
Gee! I wonder why you cowards keep on insulting Feisty when she is not present to defend herself. You are pathetic!
Because the people of Pakistan do not know the difference. They are truly committed to religious beliefs, and they do not understand how they are being manipulated. Reminds me of a certain group of people here in the States.
RyRand was booed out of the AARP when he said the word Voucher, I see Ryan as a little worm trying to get big !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They tried to book the phone booth outside the local 7-11 store but it was already occupied.
So Spanky, do you have anything to say about the people of Benghazi running the armed terrorist out of town? Anything to say about the 8 Libyans who died defending the consulate or the unnamed Libyan who carried the ambassador on his back to the hospital? How about the pro-American demonstrations where they said they were sorry? Or does that not play into your simpleton narrative of Muslins-bad?
AARP as the workers' unions are those who fill the coffers of the democratic party, so that Ryan is booed it is no surprise , only show its vulgarity,a lack of education and courtesy for a guest, that although his ideas do not conform should always be maintained respect. It is a shame that AARP lends itself to this. Nothing to be proud.
oskar,
The ACA closed the prescription drug "donut hole"
The ACA now covers annual physicals for seniors
The ACA allows for free cancer screenings
If you care about seniors you should back the ACA like AARP does
so that Ryan is booed it is no surprise, still show a lack of education and courtesy for a guest, that although his ideas do not conform should always be maintained respect. It is a shame that AARP lends itself to this.
oskar - Respect? Do you mean like your avatar?
Jeb says Romney's gonna win Florida. Well, Jeb is a very accomplished election thief. Wonder what sort of mechanics he'll employ this time? Between a Bush and Rick Scott, with their experience, It should be easy.
Northstar . . .
AMEN! Is he that incredibly stupid that he thinks people are going to forget that????? GAH!
oskar, those were real, honest senior citizens in the crowd booing Lyin Ryan. You're calling a bunch of informed old people vulgar and uneducated? You are nothing but a vulgar, uneducated PUNK.
LOL.....about as much chance as any of these other welfare cases on FR breathing fresh air.....zilch!
They're too busy on here b!tching about how they wish they could take more from their neighbors!
Wow ! What a turnout ! NOT
A whole 11 people show up.
Romney / Ryan are doomed.
.
GT . My avatar is an actual picture of President Obama and he was proud dressing like that. Nothing disrespectful.
@oskar ...
Respect, as in that respectful "you lie" scream by that coward Joe Wilson during the President's address to a joint session of Congress?
When your campaign thinks it can get a "leg up" by appearing with Bushes, you know you're in big trouble.
Ryan would be making better use of his time by campaigning to win his congressional seat in Wisconsin. He is wasting his time in Florida.
Newsflash for Paul Lyan. Cubans do not make up ALL Hispanic voters. Talking tough about an old man who doesn't really have anymore power is laughable.
Who ever booed Ryan , even honest real seniors are disrespecting to a guest.
Ryan didn't know what a hispanic was until a few days ago.
Michael1969

"We're going to be tough on Castro" So help me when Castro does die ( he's got to be in his mid eighties and in fragile health ) these idiots are going to have to dig him up and reanimate him just to have an enemy to rail against. Fifty years of tough talk and bluster from the old Cuban elite and American right have done nothing to even alter Castro's path. Even that old mindless cowboy Reagan had to attack Grenada cause he didn't have the guts to face off with Castro directly. If the Cubans living in south Florida still want to overthrow the Castro brothers, I say we give them all the weapons and boats they want and let them go fight and die to take back this island. Not one American life should be wasted on this pathetic crusade. But then both the cowardly draft dodger Romney or his idiot little buddy are really rough and tough hombres when it comes to using other peoples children to fight all the wars they can't wait to start.
Vote republikan for death and perpetual war...
Yeah! What were they thinking? Ryan is just trying to gut the programs into which these people have contributed over their entire lives and use the savings to give the rich substantial tax cuts, right? What's the problem with that?
Pull yourself together.
LMAO...awwwwwww, sounds like we touched a nerve, now didn't we?!?!

Clinging online all day, everyday and the Libtards are NOT the losers?!?!?.....lol....pfffft
Are you saying he suckered Mitt Romney into insulting half the population of the United States and has made Mitt to appear to be a rich, arrogant, weak-minded idiot in the international media on an almost daily basis? Is that what you mean by "rigged" because that is precisely what has crushed Mitt's campaign.
"So given that Feisty has been suspended [yet again, the poor old dear] anyone think she just might actually go outside today?"
"LOL.....about as much chance as any of these other welfare cases on FR breathing fresh air.....zilch!"
My guess (actually, it's more than a guess) is that she's not only outdoors, she's out in another state working hard to win votes for the candidate she supports.
So what are Spanky and Michael doing this weekend to support THEIR candidate? Oh, right....they're busy sitting indoors in front of their computers. Hey, you guys DO support Romney, don't you????/
Michael1969 ... pretty lame statement considering that Romney's parents were on welfare!!!! A helping hand is not as bad a thing as the GOP has made it out to be .........
You my friend are as out to lunch as the rest of the right wing idiots ........
No disrespect to Cuban-Americans, but they aren't the huge demographic hispanic group the Republicans need to court. On that note, I haven't noticed any ¡Viva Romney! bumper stickers.
Pork,
This very same thing happened in 2004 and 2008 under Bush 43
So Bush rigged the elections ?
Dennis
I have lost two(2) Medicare Advantage Policies since the ACA became law. What happened to "If you like your Insurance you can keep it"? Now I can't get a Medicare Advantage Policy at all. Now my premiums have gone up and my coverage has gone down.
THANKS OBAMA!
They couldn't even put together a decent investigation of 9/11/01. Bush and Cheney refused to answer any questions under oath, would not permit any recording devices or independent witnesses in their interview. There could be no transcript or even note taking. No direct quotes and they would not respond to any summons. So yeah Shady, let's put togrther a blue ribbon panel of Fux news anchors to investigate the Libyan situation. After all 4 Americans were killed in this incident, so much worse that the 3,000 people killed by the gross incompetence of President Cheney, the puppet Bush and the worst national security adviser in the history of this country. In fact that's why the republikans can't run Condie Rice for national office, she's way too "dirty".

Bluelake ... don't be so harsh on sweet Condie ... her job classification just got a little mixed up and they said what the hell! She was supposed to be a sophisticated token ... too bad for many folks ... that cost them their life's ...............
Ryan and Romney are as white bread as they get. They are working the past of a 80 year old dictator to get votes. Talk about your real agenda on immigration at one of these lunches. You might not make it out of Little Havana in Miami.
And pray tell, where are they? Why adjourned until after the election. Doesn't matter since they didn't do much of anything anyways.
Ryan's trying to pick a war with Cuba now? What happened to Iran? I thought our defense policy was a two front war, not twenty front war.
Far as I could tell from the coverage, there were three people there from Mitt's campaign and the rest worked at the restaurant.
Reminds me of this very funny clip from Saturday Night Live:
http://www.hulu.com/watch/403561?playlist_id=1031
Mitt's at the McDonald's, and wants to complain to the cook. But, says Mitt, "Probably 'no habla Ingles!'"
hahaha?
You can tell the GOP is going for the really old people vote when they start talking about Castro.
I agree 1000%
Tell me, which people on here day in and day out are just in need of a "helping hand" and which ones are are milking the system?
Or do we not care anymore.....as long as everyone FEELS good?
So, Michael, I guess Romney's family was just "milking the system".
He seems to have learned well.
JaneEco, I suspect you are right, or it will be Syria and Iran before we have all the troops out of Afghanistan thus commiting more active duty troops than they have (sound similar to Bush/Cheney) and have to activate half of the states' Nat'l Guard and Reserves knowing a few thousand will come back in caskets or body bags. I keep hearing Romney/Ryan say they respect what the military guys/gals have done but I also keep hearing changing the way they'll be treated. I read from that more unemployment but no help from govt, do it on your own.
They are wooing the Hipanics to get their vote so the R's can throw all their relatives out of the country. They don't bring up the fact that RobMe's family fled the US for Mexico when they could no longer have many wives and that his father was born in Mexico. You can not trust these guys farther then you can seen them.

It is interest of Obama to open relations with the Communist Government in Cuba, he loses the support of Latinos in Florida who want to Castros out of Government.
In a TV Latino Gala TV station two members representing Florida in Congress come to a show, each one supporting the candidate of his party. After several questions from the panel guest, the host of the show asked the public, give applause the candidate for President who likes the most. Romney got most of the applause. … Just a comment.

Well if Obama really did rig the election good for him. The republican party has been rigging the election for years a little payback never hurts....
No habla!
Shady G - I'm sorry - can't stop laughing at your comment that "Mitt Romney will make us strong again. Mitt will make us respected not laugh at!"
You do know the entire world thinks Mitt is a joke and that the GOP is ruining the country, right? Check out the Deputy PM of Australia's comment yesterday about the "cranks and crackpots" of the GOP ruining the economy!
Mitt is nothing but a very bad joke. The people who support him - well, you figure it out!
Obama/Biden 2012
Is there anything that Lying Ryan could say to overlook the fact he voted against the "Dream Act" and has not been a supporter of immigration change that would offer any options other than , "Get out of here!."
Rubio would have made a better VP choice...a Twinkie wood have made a better Pres. candidate.
"You do know the entire world thinks Mitt is a joke and that the GOP is ruining the country, right? Check out the Deputy PM of Australia's comment yesterday about the "cranks and crackpots" of the GOP ruining the economy"
Taking as an example the meetings at the United Nations, it is obvious that the majority sees our country as an arrogant and controlling, a country at the same time was respected, obviously those who see Obama as a weak leader, he apologized for our pride of being an exceptional country, and becomes leader of a follower, naturally elect a President as Romney which seeks to return to our position of leader is a threat.
Romney 2012 back to an exceptional country, there are no apologies for being America
No ballots. Really? You ought to reexamine the material from your eighth grade civics class; or, perhaps READ what you google. Each state's election board is responsible for providing ballots for each of the state's citizens, including those citizens overseas. The responsibility for getting the ballots prepared and distributed by the deadline necessary for that distribution is that of each state's election board. Some states, mostly red states, oddly enough, fumbled the ball on this. The federal government in general and President Obama in particular had NOTHING to do with it.
Lyin' Ryan better get his fake tan on then. lmao
Does the GOP really think that the "self deportation", "build a wall", "your papers, please", 47% leaches, "hunt them all down" etc rhetoric went right by them?
oskar - First, it is difficult to following the rambling posts you make. Secondly, nothing you've said is true. We are not viewed as weak with President Obama as a leader - just the opposite. He has NEVER apologized for our country - that is the idiotcy the Republicans spread and their very low information voters grasp onto.
Romney made an ass of himself during his "European Tour" and is still considered to be a loser by those he met. He would put our country back on track as a laughingstock - much like Bush did.
Romney isn't exceptional at anything - except flailing around - which he does very well!
Obama/Biden 2012 - because we have NEVER stopped being an exceptional country!
Inspired by the sermons of his pastor Jeremiah Wright where he said that the United States is the most terrorist country in the world and we are responsible for many atrocities committed abroad, Obama took a trip to "Apologize" for everyone.
Asked forgiveness for Guantánamo, for CIA mistakes, by our policy with Latin America, by the wrong decisions in the war on terror, for slavery that existed in our country, for our mistakes in foreign policy, by bad relations with the Islamic countries, by our arrogance and have rejected and ignored our allies. These "Apologies" trips were called 'World Apology Tour'. Never before a U.S. President had criticized both repeatedly our nation abroad. "He said in Turkey that we were not a Christian nation, despite the fact that we are, as it appears on our currency: "In God We Trust", in the Declaration of independence and our Constitution. The facts have shown that Obama feels shame for the country presiding over: the United States of America.
Here you go:
From Nate Silver at FiveThirtyEight.com:
Current prediction is for Obama to win 308.7 electoral votes in November (to Romney's 229.3)
And if the election were held today, Obama would have a 95.4% chance of winning.
The GOP badly overestimated Americans' memory loss. We know who trashed the economy.
And we're not going to let you do it again.
Was he begging for a couple of likes on facebook
The Obama apology thing is a figment of the fevered imaginations of the right wing lunatic fringe. It is a lie that has been as discredited as their feeble-minded candidate:
http://factcheck.org/2012/08/romneys-sorry-apology-tour-dig/
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2012/aug/31/mitt-romney/mitt-romney-said-barack-obama-began-his-presidency/
From NPR:
By grouping those who don't pay income taxes together with those who he says are "dependent upon government" and therefore support President Obama, Romney has earned "three Pinocchios" from The Washington Post's The Fact Checker. It writes that:
In fact, while Romney seemed to say that the president will draw most of his support from those who pay no income taxes, a Tax Foundation map highlighting the 10 states with the highest percentages of "non-payers" shows most are Republican territories:
— Alabama
— Arkansas
— Florida
— Georgia
— Idaho
— Louisiana
— Mississippi
— New Mexico
— South Carolina
— Texas
Romney insulted his own voters.
Oskar: Let me enumerate your mistakes (I wanted to use another word, but idiotic is the one that comes to mind -maybe that's because I want to think at 'your' level of intelligence):
1- The "In God We Trust" legend that appeared in the US currency only after 1957 (from 1776 till 1957 there is a big chunk of time), therefore your assumption is: WRONG.
2-The US was not a Christian nation was part of a treaty president Adams (Yeah, the second President, the one after Washington) signed with Tripoli (or the Tripoli treaty of 1796 -which was passed unanimously by the senate and signed into law in 1797), therefore your second assumption is: WRONG.
3- The Constitution in none of its articles, not even in the Preamble mentions the word GOD or Christian, (before you try to counteract about the faith of our founding fathers, most of them were considered Deists, not Christians), therefore your assumption is: WRONG.
4- The Declaration of Independence does not refer to Christianity. It states "...and to assume among the Powers of the Earth, the separate and equal Station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God..." (In this case they do not refer to a particular God, but to the God of Nature) and "We hold there Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights..." (see the reference to the Creator) so, there is no reference to Jesus or Christianity here either, therefore your assumption is: WRONG.
5- You are trying to woo the Hispanic vote by negating the fact that many of the abominations of the American foreign policy made those same Hispanics move here (and then you complain that they should return to where they came from)? Again, your assumption is: WRONG.
6- We have many troops on the ground in Afghanistan still, and you want to piss them off so we continue to receive more Americans in body bags?
If you read the history books, the assertion that we're where they don't want us and we don't care what they think about it is not far from reality. You spew the American democracy this, the American democracy that, our democracy this, our democracy that. But you are as hypocrite as those who under the rug will pay other people to overthrow democratically elected governments, simply because they do not respond to our interests...
The Islamic attacks pretty much attest that this administration has made our standing in the world lower, not higher.
Real Amercian
Jeb Bush may not be popular with you, but he is very popular in Florida.

oskar,
You sound like you've got a bad case of foxitis, see your doctor before permanent damage is done.
AL - I say too little, too late.
Al Qadea still rules, Pakistan is still a toilet, and Amassador Stevens is still dead.
Reality knows no narratives.
GT - you of course remember what O said would happen with regard to Arab/Muslim sentiment upon his election, yes?
Not super helpful to Stevens or the three other dead in Libya, and it sure as hell did not prevent the open act of war perpetrated on our Egyptian Embassy.
Oh and say it with me GT - o's 'surge' strategy was a total and absolute failure, right? It just ended and things in Afghanistan are worse now than ever.
The Hispanics the GOPiggies will win in FL are those Cubans who long for the days when that sad island was run by U.S. Sugar, a military dictator, and the mafia.
The only way Lyin' Ryan and Mittsy will win FL is if the unindicted criminal governor's voter suppression plan is successful. Given FL's history of fraud and apathy, that is a possibility.
Hey Real Americans First -
What did Mr. Silver have for Dukakis in 9/88?
You 'member Little Dukakis. Dude was literally kicking ass in September '88, just as Carter was in 9/80.
Come on - I know you libbies hates you some math, but history too?
Guess that's why everything is always so 'unexpected.'
Thanks for the laughs though. Incumbents under 50% always break bad late. Always.
With what the GOP has done, why would any Latino American vote for the GOP at all?
GT - you of course remember what O said would happen with regard to Arab/Muslim sentiment upon his election, yes?
Spanky - There was so many things said regarding Arab/Muslims, I can't remember who stated what.
Enlighten me...
Oh and say it with me GT - o's 'surge' strategy was a total and absolute failure, right? It just ended and things in Afghanistan are worse now than ever.
You'll have to check with the military, and get their opinion on that one....

How many people did they have to interview before they found 11 who wouldn't ask Ryan any questions he didn't want to address.
@ seeking sanity with her The world loves Obama comment....
WASHINGTON — The world's leaders are gathering in New York, but President Barack Obama has no plans to meet privately with any of them.
He will make time for "The View," a freewheeling TV talk show more likely to reach voters than Obama would with the diplomacy he is skipping at the United Nations.
Just six weeks until the election, the realities and priorities of campaign politics hang prominently over Obama's final turn on the world stage before facing voters.
Unlike his predecessors, he is skipping the face-to-face meetings with counterparts where much of the U.N. works gets done, leaving Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to pick up more of those sessions herself.
Wade,
States are responsible for sending overseas ballots, The guy is another lying Republican.
Funny, Libya recently had an election. They were the only Arab Spring country in which Islamists did not win a majority. Don't let facts get in the way Spanky.
Ah yes, according to GOP revisionist history, there never was any unrest in the Middle East until Obama became President.
So anytime a few nutbags storm one of our embassy walls, we should declare war? Didn't you say on another thread we should get out of Afghanistan? Are you channeling Mitt Romney here?
URL is like the Cheap Tabloids desperate for attention, most of their readers are Morons, "OOPS" are Mormon Cults !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jeb is showing off the last few friends he has. With the current skin-head we have for a governor, I'm surprised anyone in the GOP would dare to come to our state.
Lyin' Ryan and Mittens will not receive the majority of votes from Florida or any other state where women, children and seniors live. Be serious. Who, except a multi-millionaire, can afford to vote for the party of NO?

Ohio voter ballots for military personnel and overseas US citizens were mailed TODAY – 09/22/2012.
You 'member Little Dukakis. Dude was literally kicking ass in September '88,
Spanky -
We are finally in agreement on something. The encumbent VP kicked the challengers ass in 88. Just like this time, the encumbent Pres will kick the challengers ass. Hey, it's history repeating itself....
-
O&Joe 2012
Who's Florida governor now?? Romney's brother? Rick (Dick) Romney? Is Dick the governor going to repeat 2000 election - stealing the election?
DB, Akron, DA! Not! The George bush Gulf wars in 1993! The two George W. bush wars in Iraq and Afghanistan ! Ever hear of them? They are what has brought us into the Middle East and starting wars is not popular there or here my friend. That is what has lowered our standing there and through out the world! A policy of wars! Why has George W. bush been hiding at his ranch in Texas for 4 years? The Hague has a warrant out for his arrest for war crimes !
GT?
Uh, brother, you really need to get informed. All the super smart folk decried that the race was over in 9/88 - Little Dukakis was up big, again, just as Jimmy C was in September.
Al - so Egypt sacks our embassy and not just gets a pass, but an ass load of our money?
Huh. I wonder if others will see that and behave accordingly. An Embassy is the country's 'soil.' So the US got invaded and sacked, so to speak. Plus we al know Moresi was in on it.
Secretary of State Clinton, who most likely will be the Democrat presidential nominee in 2016, attempted to protect herself politically yesterday by officially declaring that the murders of four Americans in Libya on September 11th was an act of terrorism. This contrasts sharply with her uncomfortable on the record position for the previous ten days which coincided with President Obama's position that the four Americans were killed as a result of demonstrators who were reacting to the movie that was critical of Muslims. It had to be difficult for Mrs. Clinton to be an Obama team player and swallow the Obama position, given the fact that the murdered American ambassador was her close friend and she knew what the terrorists did to him.
To protect himself in the upcoming November 6th election, President Obama made sure that Secretary Clinton was standing next to him when both declared that the four Americans were murdered because of reactions to the movie. It was important for President Obama to separate himself from the terrorist attack in Libya so that American voters in 2012 would not blame him for a failed foreign policy and failure to deal with terrorism against Americans. However, Clinton strategists with eyes on 2016 correctly recognized that her recorded official positions following the murders of the four Americans with President Obama standing next to her could be used against her during any presidential bid, and it was important for her to change her on record position by herself without the president standing next to her.
As late as yesterday, September 21st, President Obama still refused to acknowledge during a televised interview on an Hispanic network, that the four Americans were killed by a well planned, terrorism attack. The Clinton-Obama “marriage” is expected to fall apart immediately after the elections on November 6th, with both keeping their powder dry until then. However, it is no secret among Democrats that Mrs. Clinton needs the African America votes in 2016, and any public break with President Obama would jeopardize her standing with African-Americans. Therefore, the best case scenario for her is to have President Obama lose on November 6th. This would clear the “playing field” and give Mrs. Clinton and her "Clintonesque supporters" four years to frame the Democrat agenda without having to play “second fiddle” to what they know will most likely be a disastrous ego-driven second term that could doom the Democrat Party and her chances in 2016.
Accordingly, look for Clinton supporters and other Democrats to confidentially work against the re-election of President Obama, with many either staying home on election day or voting only for Democrat House and Senate candidates. They will refuse to genuinely lend support to an administration and campaign strategists that “played the race card” against the Clintons and have used the Clintons for political cover. The absence of Obama lawn signs and bumper stickers throughout America has the Clintons looking forward to 2016, as if they already know what will happen on November 6th. The Clintons will depend on American voters to remove President Obama from office, saving them an unnecessary dog fight with a voter-rejected Chicago-style Community Organizer who does not want to lose control of the White House and Democrat Party. Take this “analysis” to the bank!
[Uh, brother, you really need to get informed.]
Isn't that precious...poor Spanky trying to stay relevant. Conspiracy theories...really? And here I thought you were smarter than that...well, not really, but you get the point.
Say little buddy., hows business? Not so good huh...but hey...times are tough in old Cali...Have to "un-create" some of those jobs you "created"? Maybe someone from the local lawyer's pool can "create" one for you.
Sure they can...
Well, you could always move, right? Seeing you hate it there and all...
Just remember, keep reaching for those stars, and parroting those talking points. Susan Rice will be on the job Monday morning, as is Eric Holder...
Sleep tite, "counselor"...
[Braking News]
Uhm, shouldn't that read "BreakingNews"...?
The rest of your post is bull@!$%# too.
BRAKING NEWS! (too stupid to know how to spell it though),
oh wow! I want some of whatever it is you're drinking... on second thought no, I might wind up as full of crap and stupid sounding as you do. What an embarrassment that would be!
Mickey and P. Robertson -- Unfortunately, Breaking News was already taken, so we settled for "Braking News". What we enjoy most of all is getting "critics" on the record. You will note, for example, that the factual information presented is correct, and that is why "critics" cannot deal with the truth. Be sure to contact us on November 7th because you will see the Clinton Machine moving in to fill the vacuum. Most Democrats would have preferred seeing Mrs. Clinton as president during 2009-2012. Once you accept that President Obama will lose on November 6th, you will understand more clearly what the "analysis" was all about.
So...Braking...are you saying you're advertising something?
[You will note, for example, that the factual information presented is correct...]
Huh...really...well, I "haven't note[d]"...but, if your "factual" information is correct, then you have no problem satisfying my curiosity and posting your sources for your "factual" information...right?

Your brother from Iran PM Ajmanedijhad
As ignorant as you are, that was actually pretty funny!
ya'll gotta admit, with Mitt and Ryan we're guaranteed more laughs than we've had in a long time!
Reagan won because they stole Carter's debate prep book and used it to cheat Reagan up before the debate. Don't you remember?
There's no way in hell Reagan could ever have pulled off that performance without knowing what Carter would say in advance. But Carter made a mistake in scheduling only one debate, held a week before the election.
And the rest is history.
Better hope Mitt has Obama's debate book !
"Several dozen turned out to see the Republican vice presidential nominee on a rainy morning in Miami"
And there you have it folks, Ryan was able to make several dozens of people laugh while the rest of us laugh because it was only a few dozen! I hope they rethink that idea that 47% doesn't matter!
Leave it to the lefty liberals to take the MSN talking points about what Romney said about the 47% and act all righteous about their conclusions. I realize the left will use any lie, misconception or untruth to state negatives about Romney but the real funny part is, when they repeat the lies, it shows exactly how much in lockstep they are with being untruthful. Romney didn't insult anyone. All he said was that 47% of the population is on the hook with receiving money from the government... what's wrong with that statement? Absolutely nothing. It was the truth... and why would the 47% vote for him? They receive part of their sustenance from the democrats who are totally in favor of distributing tax money to them.
Since Obama believes in redistribution of wealth... that would appeal to those who are seeking what they can from the government. What better voting tool to those already on the government dole is there? Free stuff from the government... Obama is supporting it.. let's support Obama. It doesn't matter what freedom is lost because of redistribution does it? It doesn't matter that redistribution adds to the national debt... just as long as the 47% get theirs. Liberals using this as a means to put Romney down simply don't get it.
Paul Ryan courting Cubans in FL is from the old playbook. A reminder:
Some say the Cuban vote was the difference between Dubya winning Florida versus Gore. As someone else posted above, however, the one-issue generation obsessed with Castro is dying out. But Romney/Ryan have to blow the dog whistles, suppress the vote, and lie in order to win.
Rightwing Trolls -- "Redistribution of wealth" refers to anything from a progressive income tax to trust funds per the social contract to the military. The redistribution of wealth I'm tired of are tax credits for things like children, mortgages versus rent, and MOST of all breaks for the rich on capital gains versus earned income and other loopholes. Pay people properly in the first place starting by indexing the minimum wage to inflation.
From what I heard, the outbreaks in Islamic countries comes from civil unrest, just like it does in this country. The Protesters are using this anti Islamic video as an excuse to be violent. I do not know if it is true. but I do know that there are people in this country who are just looking for and excuse to be violent. Unfortunately, I have witnessed some who really try to instigated a riot just to get publicity.
They are running home to try to save their own seats (or arses I should say). The farm bill, fiscal cliff, etc.? The GOP Do Nothing House only obstructs and holds America hostage anyway -- They blocked the jobs bill for vets before they left to remind us of that.
Agreed. Romney never built a damn thing. Everything has always been handed to him. The only thing he's good at is schmoozing company owners into turning things over to Bain so he could profit from it. He can't even manage a campaign.
Agreed. Romney's amateur trip overseas, followed by his BS remarks about Libya (where the majority of Libyans are now getting rid of militias in support of the USA), and Romney's ignorance about foreign policy in the tape at the fundraiser -- most voters know he's not qualified to be Commander in Chief.
And that's not even getting to the insult to 47% of the nation, his running mate Paul Ryan's alignment with Todd Aiken on "forcible rape" or desire to force seniors to shop for health insurance in the private market, and now Romney's tax returns that were reversed engineered so he wouldn't pay a measly 9% tax rate -- What American would vote for a plutocrat and an incompetent, hypocritical one at that? Talk about "disgraceful," and "a severe miscalculation."
Romney/Ryan -- They aren't in it for you.
Romney and Ryan have absolutely NO DETAILS about how they would do any of the zillion things they are promising to do....................
the republicans format............
PROMISE THEM ANY AND EVERYTHING, GIVE NO SPECIFICS, THEN WHEN YOU GET INTO OFFICE PULL A MITCH MCCONNELL.................GIVE RECOGNITION TO THE REASON YOU WERE ELECTED INTO OFFICE AND THEN SAY HOW YOU HAVE OTHER PRIORITITES---LIKE TAKING THE NEXT FOUR YEARS TO WAGE ANOTHER WAR AGAINST THE DEMOCRATS WITH TAX PAYER MONEY AND KEEPING THE WHITE HOUSE AS REPUBLICAN TERRITORY..........
Surely people will recall the recent history of the last four years and the seemingly limitless party line NO VOTES that the republicans supported for job recovery programs, economic recovery programs, increase in financial aid and programs for our veterans ....indeed the gridlock in Washington DC can be laid totally at the feet of the republicans as they hoped to use their efforts to slow the nations recovery and the increases in jobs as a means to regain the White House.....the republicans used their power as tax payer paid government servants to sabotage efforts to give our nation and its people the means to recover from what the republicans did to us all......................essentially we the tax payer are picking up the tab for the republicans war on the democrats, we are the insignificant collateral damage in the republicans fight to get control of the White House back................we suffer so they might convince us that it is the President who has been lacking in keeping his promises to the nation when the republican led congress votes down party lines to stop everything---even their own works if the democrats show their willingness to support it---and although the Senate is led by the democrats the republicans have used the filibuster more times in the last 3 1/2 years than it has been used since the inception of our great nation in order to stop any and all good works from taking place banking on the idea that Americans will blame the President for the lack of action in the nations recovery....................................
I have to have faith that Americans will all see what is in front of them............everything the republicans have done to hurt, deny to help to, take money away from and basically throw Americans under the bus is public record.................their only goal is to keep the rich swimming in tax cuts with borrowed money from China, raise taxes on the middle class until there is no more middle class, regain control of the White House so the country can go back to deregulation days (making all the people who tried to kill America and then made oodles of money off of the near total destruction) and take the nation into a recession we will never get out of .....................
republicans are idiots....they are all completely unqualified for office and the simple fact that they find it conscionable to use hate, fear and division as a political tool should make people realize how little they care for our great nation and its people............
they want to take us back to pre equal rights amendment days...THIS IS NOT 1950!.........THIS IS 2012!..........the republicans are dinosaurs in a jetson world.............get rid of them and get yourselves some progressive thinkers in there---------you deserve better!!!!!!
When the republicans vote down THEIR OWN BILLS you know it is just all about obstructionism.
The republicans nearly killed us, the President is doing all he can to revive and cure us, while the republicans just want to keep us in the ICU on life support and charge us for the gift of life without living.................we are nothing but a cash cow to them.................get rid of these bums!!!!!!!!!!
Since 90% of the world is NOT HISPANIC, shouldn't these candidates address the hijacking of America's Immigration System by HISPANICS?
Shouldn't this be CONDEMNED by the World?
Ahhh, the sweet smell of desperation and panic arising from the Romney Campaign.

Nice, Romney... REAL nice.
Jeb is a phony, he rigged the election in Florida in 2000 and we got an interloper called "W" !!!!
Did he really - since Americans with ties to Cuba must prove that to get into the country, etc. He calls Castro "brutal?" I wonder what his thoughts on Batista are then? Cuba - 100% literacy rate, very low HIV/AIDS, every child guaranteed food, schooling, etc. More doctors per capita than anywhere in the world - how do they do it - NO military budget! The people are the militia for the country, every district has it's own elections, of course there are national elections. You will not see a sick, starving person in Havana - wiping out the military budget was the FIRS thing Castro did - and that gave money for food and healthcare.
Cuba has suffered under the US embargo, but people forget that the Soviet Union - after the missile crisis (where Castro felt he was used and made the Soviets take the missiles away) - the Soviet Union also embargoed Cuba..... the Cubans have been resourceful and managed. The old rich Miami Cubans who miss their sugar plantations (with slaves) have spread enough lies - they got out, with their money - just not their land....that's not "brutal" it's "redistribution."
Jeb may have had a hand it that fiasco, but it as the Supreme Court that appoint "W" President of the United States. For this election the Repubs are working hard on voter suppression.
In a failed attempt to woo Hispanics. The Romney/Romney ticket are now proclaiming; "If you vote for us, all of your wildest dreams will come true".............without a following dance skit afterward...........LMAO.
Brianb- " Romney didn't insult anyone. All he said was that 47% of the population is on the hook with receiving money from the government... what's wrong with that statement?"
What is wrong with that statement is that many of those people are on SS and have paid into that program all their working lives, so of course they feel entitled to what they paid for, they have every right to feel that after they held up their end of the bargain that the government should hold up their end. Many of those people are veterans on disability or military pensions, and again after holding up their end of the bargain feel that the government should hold up their end. Many of those people are actually working but due to the right to work for less and less and less laws do not make enough money to even owe any federal income taxes, however they pay a great deal of other taxes. As a matter of fact 9 of the top ten welfare states as measured by hoe much they pay into the federal government and how much welfare they receive back from the federal government are solid republican voting and mostly right to work for less and less and less states. You may not feel that Romney insulted anybody but his dropping poll numbers across the board, would certainly suggest the general electorate feels otherwise, those dropping poll numbers are not caused by liberals or democrats, those are independents and republicans now turning their backs on him. Now I will say that I did not talk politics with a great many people, but two weeks ago I was in NC and the folks I did talk politics with there were not nearly as hot on Romney I as I thought they would be, I have spent this week just outside of Pittsburgh, PA and the folks I talked to here are downright against Romney, these are mostly working class people I come into contact with, and they don't seem to be buying what Romney is selling.
Brainb, is no friend of the middle class!
It's a lead pipe cinch he has no friends at all...
I wonder if they asked the cooks to self deport?
I am sure that he is going to tell us how he "struggled" by working in a restaurant when he was younger.
Never mind that his "real " job has been suckling the teat of tax payers by being a "Congressman" that takes 4 or 5 vacations a year.
When Voters started walking out of the AARP Convention they asked Ryan to leave, he was Booed to the Door !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We will be tough on Castro, tough on Chavez.------------------
It's sad but the rethugli-cons have used this tired, old campaign mantra for fifty years now. But guess what? Castro is still in power. I wonder what the cons will do when death does what they have failed to do. Who will be their boogy man then. I don't know which group is the most unrealistic. The cons or the elderly generation of Cubians in South Florida who still seem to believe they're going to be able to step back in time to the 50s.
GOP=tired, old party still trying to play on peoples fear.
Obama/Biden 2012 My vote has already been cast.
Ires/ I wish that the present bunch of Congressmen did take only4 or 5 vacations per year. I think that if we checked up on this useless lot we would find that the 4 or 5 times are days that they turned up for work. No one on this planet must spend less time at their paying job than this lot .
The lady with her back to the camera in the picture is asking Ryan, "you want fries with that order, b!tch!"
He's laughing because he doesn't get it.
U R kidding..right?
GOP has done so much to victimize much of the Latino population, but want their vote? Is this how Democracy works??
sad...about what has happened to today's GOP - so biased against minorities....
Rumors that Ryan and his Teabaggers are part of the Temple Cult of Ayn Rand !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Listoire: This current do nothing House is a republicon tradition. They just keep refining their filibustering, hostage taking, and extortion policies year after year.
Do you remember the republicon House from 2000-2006? They only worked a 4 day week. Why bother to show up when ALEC writes your bills for you and tells you how to vote?
When Pelosi came to power she cracked the whip on those do nothing republicons and went back to a 5 day work week like us Americans. They countered with record setting numbers of filibusters. Work? That is for the little people.
About ALEC
ALEC is a corporate bill mill. It is not just a lobby or a front group; it is much more powerful than that. Through ALEC, corporations hand state legislators their wishlists to benefit their bottom line. Corporations fund almost all of ALEC's operations. They pay for a seat on ALEC task forces where corporate lobbyists and special interest reps vote with elected officials to approve “model” bills.
ALEC Alumni in Congress include[1][2]:
Former ALEC Alumni in Congress include Former Assistant Minority Leader Don Nickles, Former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert, Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay and Former Deputy Majority Whip and subject of the 2006 page scandal, Mark Foley.[5]

Ann Romney Cancels Interviews After Stop It Controversy
By: Sarah Jones September 22nd, 2012 Politicus
In Omaha for a closed to the press fundraiser for her husband Friday, Mrs. Romney was supposed to give interviews to several reporters but canceled due to the controversy over her blow up at Republicans on a radio interview, in which she ordered Mitt’s Republican critics to “stop it.”
Omaha.com reported:
She had scheduled interviews with The World-Herald and other reporters but canceled after controversy erupted this week over her comments to a public radio station in Iowa about her husband’s Republican critics.
She appeared at the luncheon, $250-per-plate fundraiser at the Embassy Suites and La Vista Conference Center. The event was closed to reporters.
Remember when Mitt Romney told the donors at the Florida fundraiser that he wasn’t using his wife Ann too much so that people didn’t get sick of her? That day appears to have arrived. It may have been her meltdown at Mitt’s Republican critics that did it.
After saying how “hard” campaigning was, Ann told Radio Iowa:
“Stop it. This is hard. You want to try it? Get in the ring. This is hard and, you know, it’s an important thing that we’re doing right now and it’s an important election and it is time for all Americans to realize how significant this election is and how lucky we are to have someone with Mitt’s qualifications and experience and know-how to be able to have the opportunity to run this country.”
Ann Romney was supposed to be Mitt’s secret weapon, but apparently that isn’t working out very well. For now, reporters will be stuck with Mitt, who answered a reporter’s questions about whether he was going to start campaigning harder now by saying, “Ha ha. We’re in the stretch aren’t we? Look at those clouds. It’s beautiful. Look at those things.”
The debates should be entertaining to say the least.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ya know when you start talking about clouds, maybe it is time to fold up the tent. All that money and nowhere to go.
Annie must be to embarassed.
GT/GBM - Perhaps the Queen Ann Victim is too concerned she will have a nagging, whining, Sister Mary Elephant Moment caught on tape. "SHUUUUUUUUUUUTT UUUUUUPP!!!!!!!!" One thing is for sure, the Romney camp predicted we would be TIRED of her - and WE ARE. We certainly don't need 4 years of this creature riding her therapy horse through the White House, pausing at every mirror on the wall, asking "Who's the fairest of them all".
I wonder if she has an undisclosed pastime of baking little children in ovens. She is a caricature of every evil queen/witch in our fables/lore/and tales.
"no mas pantalones!"
Bush learned spanish when he was delivering money to the Contras for Reagan.
I wonder if any elderly Hispanic people in the tiny crowd attending Ryan's little function booed at him? Seniors are a tough bunch when they find out they've been crossed.
To quote Ryan in this article:
Why is Mitt the Twit's twin, Ryan, talking on being tough on Castro when he has not been the leader of Cuba for a long time now???? This just goes to show that the 2 dumbos know little about FOREIGN AFFAIRS.
Independent Thinker...Paul Ryan = Palin after the operation.
An addition to Post # 3.14
Raul is the current Leader in Cuba. Under him, the relations between Cuba and the U.S. has improved (with still some room for more improvements). The U.S. (under Obama) previously lifted the ban for the U.S. people to visit that country once again. But to listen to the POLITICAL PANDERING from Ryan, you'd think that we were still at the same old stance with the former Fidel.
antgne Post # 3.15:
Now that's a good one! LOL !!!!
An Independent thinker,
I really believe Ryan and Romney have an old book from the Cold War Days that is their reference when speaking about foreign policy.
Ryan did add Chavez to the mix, but that guy is dieing of cancer and isn't long for this world.
antgne that is a super line.
p.s. my orange cat is cuter than yours. ☺
Here is another point nobody has mentioned.Anne Romney is sick,she has MS and several other problems.I actually feel sorry for her.Someone in her condition should not be out campaigning,let alone if Romney was to win,assuming the duties of First Lady.All the recent First Ladies have taken over being out front,championing causes.Doing interviews and projecting themselves before the American people.And few if any has done it better than Michelle Obama.She is very involved with Veteran's needs,children's needs,and basically actively working to make America better.I have nothing against Mrs Romney personally.But I just don't believe her illness's would allow her to preform the duties expected of a First Lady.And if she is forced too,it could be bad for her health.I think it was a bad move for Mitt Romney to force this on his wife in the first place.
ya'll gotta admit, with Mitt and Ryan we're guaranteed more laughs than we've had in a long time!
GOP - After Ryan getting booed out of the AARP we have to hand pick the next group so this doesn't happen again, this is an embarrassment to our party !!!!!!!!!!!
Not only did Romney have his face 'browned' he went and threw a tantrum (according to another Repub on site) over his episode on Univision, forced the station to not go with their Students Only audience, but then bussed in supporters who booed questions and cheered their candidate, to the great dismay of the interviewer. Don't believe me?? Check this article out then, I have seen it elsewhere too, and it is easily verifiable:
http://www.politicususa.com/mitt-fit-romney-threw-temper-tantrum-forced-univision-re-tape-intro.html
Now, does this REALLY sound like Presidential material...I think Not!
Also, since Bush II IS part of our history, and is CLEARLY the worst President EVER, you folks on the right are going to have to do more than just keep his face off from TV and the Convention, WE WILL NOT FORGET THE DAMAGE TO OUR NATION THAT HE DID! And in that light, since Romney appears to be a retread rerun of Bush II, I would say that bringing up He Who Must Not Be Named is totally fair game!
Florida, will vote for the Romney/Ryan ticket in Nov. Obama will not take Florida. Why? High unemployment! Also Obama cancelled America's Space program, and outsourced US Astronauts rides to the ISS aboard Russian rockets.
Romney/Ryan-2012 and beyond
I doubt it, because there are many retirees in Florida. They are more concerned with Medicare and Social Security than jobs. They have been thrown under the bus and called "parasites"by Romney.
Unless they are really stupid, they will vote against themselves.
And as much as I dislike Rick Scott, I have to smile, when I see him take credit for this, as Mitt is pushing as to how bad things are, tough to be a republican in many parts of FL where the Pres is up by at least 5pts.
As GT asks, supply your source on the Pres and the space program funding. You are totally wrong, but I'll let you show us your source first.
Oh, I better go look at those polls again ...
Risk = low information voter typical of the right wing nut jobs
Riski: I know that Republicans hate facts but have you by chance seen the latest Poll. Romney is losing Florida by 5 points.
Your Boy Rubio just pissed off the entire Veterans Community by voting NO on the Veterans retraining bill. He is giving speaches in Florida saying how he is for the Veterans and how he is helping. ALL LIES.
Riski gave three points in his post and he is batting 1000% he is totally wrong on all three. Good job.
I asked three of his Florida Congressional offices why he voted againt the Veterans retraining bill and I got NO response from all three offices. I then sent an email to his Washington Office and got this response. We will get back to you with information at a later date. I can hardly wait untill I get an answer. Yeah
What a DORK. Lieing to the People who elected him to the United States Senate.
Good grief, where do you people come up with this stuff? Who ever said this is desperately misinformed. Who ever believes it is worse.
Republicans would bitch and whine if they had to pay one additional cent in taxes to fund this. The American Space program, yes WE built it!
Rubio!!??!! Did You SAY PolitaPhile Rubio???? OMG this individual has been.. This Rubio guy will tell the American Veterans "We Republican Legislators" are your best friend and ONLY friend for Veteran retraining" while back in the butcher Shop on CrapitalHill and other places he is Whacking Veterans benfits and retraining programs while MittTaxPittance Rommel's "Darling" little Boys are grinning as they drive around in their $200,000 Ferraris,BMWs and Porsches...Rommel "My Sons are fulfilling their Patriotic duties by helping me attempting to get elected", wink'...wink'...wink'...."Ooooohhhh.. That lousy Carter Kid taping my $50,000 PerPlate money raising dinner!!!!..AND that lousy 47% I don't care about came back to bite me in the @$$!!!Ooooohhh I'll get that kid when I am DerFuhrer"
Dennis,
President Bush did not cancel the space shuttle program, he only retired it, big difference. He outlined plans to replace the space shuttle with a new space craft program to be completed by 2014. There is a much better article about what President Bush really said and did at http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewpr.html?pid=13404.
BTW, didn't President Obama appoint the head of NASA to be our outreach person to the Muslim Countries or something along that line?
Hi Sarge,
You may be correct – it doesn't matter because the Republicans in Congress would not fund NASA these days regardless of the government jobs that would be lost.
The only concerns the Congressional Republicans have for job losses due to lack of government spending are those in the military complex.
Cracks me up all the righties here that are under the impression that up until 1-20-09, the Middle East was the most stable, peaceful region on the planet. They act as if there never was any unrest in that part of the world before Obama became President.
One other thing that righties always whine about is that "no Muslims ever denounce the terrorists." I guess they weren't paying attention to what happened in Benghazi yesterday. That was a result of Obama and the leaders of Western Europe helping the Libyans throw off the rule of the Lockerbie terrorist. If you are going to blame Obama for the attack on the US Consulate (and we know that nothing like that ever happened before in the Middle East), then you have to give him credit for his Libyan policy.
Al - What Libyan policy, doesn't appear he has one. I will give him credit for his foreign policy which led to the killing of our Ambassador and 3 others. As I have been saying for months, Obama lacks leadership and discipline.
Open your eyes grasshopper. He supported the rebels militarily while getting Europe to take the lead role, therefore not increasing the wear and tear on our armed forces. It was an American drone that attacked Gaddafi's convey leading to his death. He has supported the new government and sent quality people like Ambassador Stevens (who is a hero to the Libyans). As a result, a country once ruled by a renown terrorist responsible for the killing of Terry Fletcher, the bombing of the Le Belle Disco and the Lockerbie bombing is now the most pro American nation in the Arab world.
Al - Get out of the valley sun and look around. He spent around 2 Billion dollars getting involved in a civil war we had no business getting into. He refused to take the lead and used NATO as a cover, just in case things went wrong. He also violated US law, specifically the War Powers Act. He sent Ambassador Stevens without sufficient guards and when informed about Ambassador Stevens death, Obama continued on to a fund raiser and campaign stop. Failed to attend intelligence briefings and then denied it was a terrorist attack until approximately 10 days or so. Showed to be indecisive, and lacked leadership. The drone never killed Gaddafi, a Libya shot him in the head after he was captured.
BTW, Ambassador Stevens was the first Ambassador killed since Francis Meloy in Feb 1979 in Lebanon.
FYI, Libya is NOT and never will be the most pro American nation in the Arab world.
ya'll gotta admit, with Mitt and Ryan we're guaranteed more laughs than we've had in a long time!
Gingerbread Momma, in response to your statement requesting source for FL unemployment rate you state that the last employment report shows 235k new jobs added the best in 16 months. Here's a news flash for you (written today from Tampa):
Florida’s unemployment rate stays at 8.8%
So why don't you tell the good folks of FL how great they have it....while you're at it explain that to my 59 yr old brother in Cape Canaveral (you know where Cape Kennedy thrived the city)!
Obama cancelled America's Space program,
Risk - Where's your source?
I'll explain it. :)
You see ... Obama will win on November 6th ... Newt's moon colony won't happen because of this .. Anything a Republican wants is really America's plan .... therefore ... Obama cancelled Space program.
?
Eric that must be the twisted logic GT and the TP/GOP use.
Even Newt is looking good to the republicans now. Lyin Ryan and the vulture capitalist seem to drag all republicans down.
Eric that must be the twisted logic GT and the TP/GOP use.
Mitt Romney Is Driving The GOP To Pieces: Countdown Day 46
Howard Fineman
Editorial Director, Huffington Post Media Group
WASHINGTON -- The attack on Mitt Romney was tough, even vicious.
As expressed at a now-infamous fundraiser in Florida, the Republican nominee's "ideology, pitting the 'makers' against the 'takers,' offers nothing," the writer said. "No sympathy for our fellow citizens. No insight into our social challenge. No hope of change."
"This approach involves a relentless reductionism," the writer argued Thursday in the Washington Post. "Human worth is reduced to economic production. Social problems are reduced to personal vices. Politics is reduced to class warfare on behalf of the upper class."
It was perhaps the most thorough, full-throated denunciation of Romney this year -- and, of course, a conservative Republican wrote it.
The author, Michael Gerson, has impeccable right-wing bona fides: He worked at the Heritage Foundation, served Chuck Colson and Bob Dole, and was President George W. Bush's chief speechwriter.
On this 46th day before Election Day, the story is not the alleged disintegration of the Romney campaign team in Boston. Yes, there is a lot of infighting going on. "It's a shame to see it," said Hogan Gidley, who was Rick Santorum's campaign spokesman. "They're all trying to save themselves." Still, it looks like the band will stick together (and give each other bonuses) until what could be a bitter end in November.
The real story, the deeper story, is the flying apart of the modern GOP into its constituent but rivalrous pieces. The Romney campaign feels like the end of an era in the party, rather than the beginning of one, because there's no center and it cannot hold.
Gerson is just the latest Republican to unload on Romney for what he sees as the nominee's ineptitude, ignorance, confusion, apostasy -- or all four. Others include, in varying degrees, Peggy Noonan, Bill Kristol, the Wall Street Journal editorial page, Joe Scarborough, Ron Paul, Rick Santorum, Herman Cain, Frank Luntz, several GOP U.S. Senate candidates, and even Romney's campaign co-chair Tim Pawlenty, who quit that role to become a business lobbyist in Washington.
Behind the scenes, other figures -- from Karl Rove and Charlie Black to the advisers for some silent big-money donors -- are not only nervous about Romney's prospects but irritated at what he has done (or not done) for (or to) the party.
Granted, no political party is always neat, orderly and consistent. Since U.S. elections generally come down to just two parties, each has to be almost mind-bogglingly diverse, either ideologically or demographically or both, to amass a majority.
What it lacks in demographic diversity, the GOP makes up for in breadth of ideas and agendas. By my count, there are no less than seven ideological precincts within the party. Ronald Reagan and to some extent Bushes One and Two were able to hold those pieces and their antecedents together. Dole in 1996 and John McCain in 2008 could not. Can Romney? Doubtful.
He has two sub-crowds in his corner thus far: the big business/Wall Street group (the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, bankers who took government money and hate themselves for it, trust fund and hedge fund types) and the bombs-away neocons who want to vaporize Iran (led by the likes of casino magnate Sheldon Adelson). Both groups loathe President Barack Obama, but also seem to genuinely like, or at least vaguely admire, the former Massachusetts governor.
Romney is nowhere with -- or regarded suspiciously by -- the other five. The "compassionate conservative" types such as Gerson, moved by a sense of faith-based social obligation, distrust Romney in his current incarnation. Tea Party "small government" advocates distrust him because of his moderate, even expansionist view of the role of government when he ran Massachusetts. Fundamentalist and many evangelical Protestants, as well as many Catholics, remain wary of Romney because of his Mormon faith, although they rarely say so publicly in so many words.
The xenophobic elements within the party -- the anti-immigration crowd, those who fear the "they" (minorities) of America -- might respond to the resentful Mitt of the
secret fundraiser video. But Romney is no firebrand, and he has backed away from the more incendiary implications of his Florida comments.
The last piece of the GOP puzzle is the one that should like Romney the most, yet actually has never had faith him: the money people and elected officials in New York and Washington. They just want a winner, but they simply don't think much of his candidate skills, and they're technocratic types above all. Their house organ is the Wall Street Journal editorial page, which has repeatedly expressed exasperation at how Mitt has run his campaign. While his Boston-based crew has ties to the Washington Republican establishment, they really aren't part of it.
"We saw the party starting to come apart in 2010 with the rise of the Tea Party," said Gidley. "This isn't anything of Mitt Romney's making."
Perhaps not, but unlike Reagan or even the Bushes, Romney so far has not shown the candidate skills, the depth of thought or the ideological commitment that would give him the strength to bind the party into one force.
At a campaign event on Thursday, Ann Romney expressed her frustration at the carping from Republicans and other conservatives. "Stop it!" she commanded on an Iowa radio show. "This is hard. You want to try it? You get in the ring."
Well, they are, but not necessarily to promote her husband.
It would, of course, help if he were ahead in the race. But he is not, and time is running out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think Howard Fineman summed it up nicely in this piece. There still is a ways to go, and fate, karma, luck ,whatever has a way of upsetting the applecart, so we have to be mindful the most important thing we do is, VOTE.
There are many forces at work to prevent people from VOTING and they will continue up until November 6th, so in addition to giving moral support to the Democrats, make sure you have the proper ID and be prepared for long lines if you cant vote early.
GBM - watching these candidates jump overboard from USS Romney is hysterical. Seems they are privy to the lookout glasses and have advance warning of the iceberg dead ahead. Naturally, they are grabbing the life vests first. By God, they aren't going to go down with the captain and the ship. It is sink or swim time for the GOPTP candidates.
RedDev......They are like greased lightening, and to day, there are 3 of the surrogates stumping in IA for state issues. Christie, Jindahl and Santorum, they're busy polishing their creds for 2016 creating chits for the future...their future. Oh the traitors!!!!! they're on Queenie's list for sure.
RedDev and GM,
I am just waiting for old Sheldon Abelson to close the checkbook...
Wonder what the Vegas odds are for the exact day he will do this?
Northstar, you know he's got to be having second thoughts, I see him to be a guy who likes to get his dollars worth. I bet(?) pardon the pun, he's already given Mittsie the over under.
Everybody knows the true Republican agenda with Hispanics. Look at Arizona the Mississippi of the west. Jan Brewer who we call leather face and Joe Arpaio show the true colors of the Republican party.
Talk about Hispanic in a can tan. Jan Brewer is a brainless, harpy shrew. Between she and Arpaio, I worry about my Latino AZ in-laws. Not only do they not need that canned tan, they don't need papers, either. But that won't keep them from being asked for them.
A few mature Cuban American hard core GOP voters in a Little Havana resturant hardly speak for either their grandchildren or the much larger groups of Hispanic Americans.
Were there 11 or 12 in the photo? Likewise, I doubt that Marco Rubio speaks for most Hispanic Americans.
LTC Rattus, USA, ret.
All republicans are running away from Romney and Ryan. They even try to hide that they are republican. The TP/GOP has made a mess of the loyal opposition. In Washington (no the other Washington). We have a new party called the Mainstream Republicans. They officially separate themselves for the like of Romney/Ryan and the TP/GOP.
I think that's why Boeher closed the House so early this year; so repubs could hide back home and not be found by the media. But it's not just the politicians running away....it's also the conservative talking heads (ie David Brooks, Peggy Noonnan, and others). Well, that is until Ann Romney told them to stop picking on her husband.
In English, I presume.
50 Cent (the rapper) came out in support of Romney?
“Dependency is a habit that is so easy to acquire. We live in a culture that offers you all kinds of crutches – experts to turn to, drugs to cure any psychological unease, mild pleasures to help pass or kill time, jobs to keep you just above water. It is hard to resist. But once you give in, it is like a prison you enter that you cannot ever leave.” Curtis James Jackson III, AKA 50 Cent
lol sooo?
By the way, could you post a link to all these, likely made up endorsements?
Actually, don't bother. When a millionaire tells me to vote FOR something, it's probably not really in my best interest. So...never mind. Just keep posting this silly made up crap. lol
So exactly what is he recommending, then? Don't ask for help if you need it although experts are available, don't take any medicines even if you are Bipolar or hearing voices telling you to kill your family, you shouldn't settle for spending time with family or friends, playing games, seeing a movie, hanging out with loved ones, maybe a nice bbq, and you shouldn't take jobs unless they are super high-paying or make you famous and rich? So I guess he prefers people to sit on their butts and wait for "better things" to come along? That is really confusing to me...I like my life, I would see a psychologist if I needed one, I have many "mild pleasures" that I really enjoy, and I've had jobs that did barely keep my head above water, and I worked hard and was proud of my hard work. There is no shame in any of those things and it is how many people live.
On the other hand, my ex thought nothing that wasn't expensive or what he considered sophisticated was worth doing, he refused to take any job that wasn't high-paying since it was beneath him and he didn't want to be like "those people who do those jobs". He thought playing with his son was a waste of time unless he was instructing him in how to be like him, that bowling and bbqs were beneath him, and anyone who drank a beer was trailer trash. Notice that I said he is my EX, not someone I would have in my life now. The only reason I married him in the first was that I was really young and not very good at realizing that he was a spoiled, entitled boorish boy. When I figured it out that was that.
I feel sorry for Curtis, actually, if he thinks anything in his comment relates to anything that Romney is going to help this country improve upon. The prison is when you start seeing things as beneath you or what "others" have or do. It's when you lose compassion for those who didn't have the breaks you had or who just need a hand to move up a bit, and yes, I have had those who did that along the way. I appreciated it greatly, and I have no problem helping people who do want to move forward.
So Curtis, I say whatever. You do your thing and the rest of us will do ours. I wouldn't ever change places with you, and I am not in prison. I am also not voting for Mr. Romney.
Latinos can see right through this blatant pandering. Romney wouldn't even answer the question asked 4 times flat out whether he would or would not keep Obama's executive order re immigration status. And Republicans lump all Latinos into just one thing - a voting bloc. Cubans, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Central Americans -- all the same to them. Arizona's Latina Governor has already distanced herself from Romney. And she was a featured (token) speaker at the Republican convention. Don't forget how Republicans put every minority they could find (very few) in their convention right up camera-front. Including many who can't even vote in the elections!
Pandering is too euphemistic a word for this stuff.
AZ doesn't have a Latina governor. Do you mean New Mexico?
The media tend to lump "Hispanics" into a single category, but their backgrounds are, in fact, just as diverse as other Americans. In south Florida, there are a lot of Cubans whose families fled Castro's Cuba to get away from just the sort of Socialist policies that Obama favors. It's natural that they would be Romney supporters, and very distinct from the "Hispanics" in the Southwest.
Speaking of stereo-types, why not give us a list of all those Socialist policies favored by Obama that Cubans fled from, because something tells me that Cubans that didn't risk life and limb to get to American to avoid healthcare.
"Redistribution"
Which started the day this country implemented its first tax. Now, name one country in the world that doesn't have redistribution, or, better known as taxes.
Red you have just demonstrated a profound lack of understanding. Taxes are not synonymous with redistribution. The Cubans who fled were faced with a government that wanted to take a disproportionate share of their money, keep most of it for itself, and give the rest away to its supporters. Just like Obama.
Oh please Kannin - taxes are redistribution, as are subsidies.
For some help on redistribution, here is a link to a rather good wikipedia article explaining the subject.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redistribution_of_wealth
Kannin,
Did you happen to catch the ENTIRE content of President Obama's 1998 comments, not just the regurgitated soundbytes you're hanging your argument on?
http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/09/obama-redistribution-audio-clip-truncated-by-gop/
http://2012.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/09/obama-1998-video-redistribution-romney-gop.php
Not trying to change your mind or anything...I know that's not possible. But what IS possible is that you'll consider the ENTIRE argument, not just the cherry red parts you love so much.
Kanin - You know that was proven to be YET ANOTHER LIE, right? They edited out the part where he talked about moving funds around WITHIN THE GOVERNMENT to make it more effective. Better that redistributing my cash to Romneys buddys.
Mickey and Huh?! I never said anything about a 1998 speech. I didn't even hear it. I was referring to what Obama is doing today.
He has singled out "the wealthy" for government-sponsored hatred, blame, and special sanctions; and is determined to give their money to his electoral base.
From a website:
We have heard both sides of the argument time and time again. The Democrats (the 'liberal party' of the US) argue in favor of increasing minimum wage.
Republicans (the 'conservative party' in the United States) counter that it will raise the cost of goods.
The Democrats argue that we need to create more programs to help the poor
Republicans counter that we shouldn't be taxing our citizens to death.
The Republicans want to eliminate the death tax since it destroys businesses
Democrats want to keep it because it eliminates "family wealth", and allows them to redistribute this wealth to the masses.
Socialism dominates the political discussion in virtually every free society. As a result, there exists in each country two political parties - One that favors increasing the number of such programs, and another party that opposes them. Of course, the particular politics of each nation may vary, but versions of these two parties can be found in every democratic country - A "conservative" party that seeks to maintain the capitalistic system, and a "liberal" party that pushes the system slowly towards socialism. This is the crux of the argument between the two prevailing economic theologies. The "left" (socialist) believes that the poor deserve more, and the "right" (capitalist) believes that those who do the most work deserve the most profit.
Obama doesn't meet Kannin's descriptions, but let us count the way Romney and the GOPTP meet Kannin's description.
Romney detests 47% of Middle/Poor Americans
Romney blames the ails of the country on the 47% of Middle/Poor Americans that pay no Federal Income taxes
GOPTP sanction Gov. Haslam because he doesn't hate gays, Democrats and Muslims enough.
Those must be what Kannin is talking about.
Paul-Florida - From WHAT website? My guess, the Paul-Florida lying website. You post nothing but radical right wing nonsense and think someone is about to take it seriously? Please, get a clue; get a brain; get a life!
Obama/Biden 2012
[I never said anything about a 1998 speech. I didn't even hear it. I was referring to what Obama is doing today.]
Well, why do you think it's even an issue? This is why you are hearing it today.
Read or listen to his narrative from 1998, and you tell me if this whole "redistibution" crap is taken out of context.
You are taking the "redistribution" quote out of context, and by doing so only adds to the confusion regarding the phrase, so why misrepresent it like you're doing?
Besides, what do you think "trickle-down economics" is? One can argue that that is "redistribution".
Trickle down? I believe it is more trickle up! Either way it is redistribution.
Mind telling us what "work" Romney did for his $14.5 million bucks last year?
Or for the $21.6 million he "earned" the year before?
Was he worth that much to America's economy?
Financial paper-shuffling leeches aren't "working" - they're just a drain on our economy.
Romney ran to Chicago to tell the teachers there how "greedy" they were for getting $75k a year for "only" working 9 months.
Yet Paul Ryan's House of Representatives got a minimum of $165,000 each this year for only being in session 111 days. (and only passing 61 bills)
That's $1,486.50 per day. Plus benefits.
At that rate of pay, the teachers would only have needed to work 50 days to get what they made in a year.
So let's talk some more about "those who do the most work deserve the most profit".
When Meg Whitman was running for governor she complained about the estate tax. She said it was sooo unfair that 1% of Californians paid 80% of the estate taxes
She didn't mention that 1% of Californians own 80% of the wealth.................
The estate tax was designed to prevent all of the wealth from trickling up into the hands of the few aristocrats and then sit in overseas banks.
Remember that the estate tax was put in place in 1916 under President Woodrow Wilson in response to the Robber Barons.
Paul
If your statement that 'Those who do the most work deserve the most profit was true, then Longshoremen should all be millionaires, Walmart workers should be the billionaires rather than the Walton family who just collect the money and do not put a single hour into the business itself, and Teachers should be making well over $250K/year, PLUS benefits.
Sitting in an air conditioned room for 4-6 hours a day and then taking off for golf should not entitle one to a multi-million dollar salary, plus stock options.
I don't believe any reasonable person would disagree to the fact that the American people have lost control of their government?
The best advice comes from our Forefathers:
'It is every Citizen's 'DUTY' and 'OBLIGATION' to remove 'any' government that becomes corrupt and/or oppressive.'
Not so easy anymore...is it?
It never is!
Agree, is difficult to get rid of congressman like Ryan. Because in small communities, well funded bigots can call the day.
Same goes for the putrid Cantor and that Bat @!$%# crazy Bachmann.
It is looking more and more like Ayn Ryan is going to be a two time loser.
Momentum fueled by Cuban Americans, a sliver of the Republican electorate in Florida, could give Mitt Romney a pivotal win in Florida's primary on Tuesday.
Cuban-Americans are deeply committed voters who can have an impact in competitive races, and Romney has strong support among the influential Cuban-American establishment. Older exiles also tend to vote heavily through absentee ballots, where the former Massachusetts governor all but certainly has an edge. And the candidate's emphasis on fixing the economy is resonating with backers like Jesus Ovidez, who cares more about jobs than he does U.S. policy toward Cuba.
"When we are in a better position here, then we can worry about over there. But first you have to put your own house in order," said Ovidez, who spent months in a forced labor camp before fleeing the island in the late 1960s.
Yes, and if the Cubans vote to elect Romney/Ryan then they better get ready because a Romney/Ryan Presidentcy will deport a large amount of them back to Cuba to overload and further bankrupt this evil nation that is trying to overcome the Castro dictator rule. The Gop T-Republicans and their candidate Romney/Ryan will not be able to sway the Latino vote. So now the only thing left is the debates??? and hope the voter supression efforts and the stuffing of the ballot boxes with astronomical amount of fake GOP/T-Republican NEO-CON voters ballets.
loser alert! loser alert! Lyin Ryan is off his chain again.
The left-wing posts are becoming more and more like this one: silly insults, devoid of facts or logic. Is this the kind of intellect we want running our country?
One mindless insult devoid of fact deserves another.
Funny, Kannin, that describes virtually all your posts.
Kannin, You think the GOP is filled with serious intellects? Half their constituency doesn't even believe in basic science. What a fraud and liar you are!
Nicki Minaj
“The renouned rapper stunned her predominately African-American fan base recently when she appeared to slam President Obama as being "lazy" in Lil' Wayne's song "Mercy (Remix)"
“ "I'm a Republican voting for Mitt Romney, you lazy bitches fu*ked up the economy," Minaj rapped...
HopeisGone -
Not sure why you really care who Nicki Minaj is endorsing for President, but if you do, then I'm sure you'll want to read this update on that story (the one that you cut and pasted without giving credit to the actual author):
"While nothing about Ms. Minaj's music is as simple as it may seem, some listeners took"Mercy" (which started appearing online around Sept. 3) at face value. Music Web sites like rapdose.com reported on the lyric with headlines that read "Nicki Minaj Endorses Mitt Romney," while the gossip blog Gawker hedged its bets, asking readers, "Did Nicki Minaj Really Endorse Mitt Romney?"
However, there were clues in the song that Ms. Minaj was not describing a factual set of circumstances. For example, in the very next line of the song, she raps: "Out in Miami I be chillin' with a zombie."
There would also seem to be a general rule that applies to pop songs and other works of performance, under which artists are allowed to adopt fictional personae in the service of evoking an audience's emotions. (To date, there is no evidence that Johnny Cash ever shot a man in Reno just to watch him die.)
President Obama appeared to suggest as much in an interview with the Orlando, Fla., radio station Power 95.3. Asked whether he thought Ms. Minaj's lyric was an authentic endorsement of his rival, Mr. Obama said: "I'm not sure that's actually what happened. I think she had a song on there, that – a little rap that said that. But she likes to play different characters."
Ms. Minaj gave credence to the president's interpretation of the song on Monday, writing in a post on her Twitter account: "Ha! Thank you for understanding my creative humor & sarcasm Mr. President, the smart ones always do…"
http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/09/10/no-nicki-minaj-did-not-endorse-mitt-romney/
@ HopeisGone: Not sure where that came from, or if it's true but....so?
If Kim Kardashain supported one candidate over the other...would that be important to you? What's your point? Personally, I'm not willing to go backward with a one-dimensional leader.
HopeisGone is grasping at straws, just like the rest of the RWNJ's. For them, all hope is gone. Romney's a loser.
Now we ALL need to put out the rest of the trash. Most (not all Rep.) need to be carefully looked at. Then boot the ones who obstructed Every bill that would have helped create JOBS, give vets a fair shake, stopped the foreclosures and generally Good things for The Whole country...not just the 1%.The party of"NO" needs to feel the word NO to their jobs Boot them OUT! And any teabaggers with them.
"Nicki Minaj". A famous singer? I never heard the name before. Damn, I feel old.
Here is a music video featuring Romney's latest supporter.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6j4f8cHBIM
Not a very pretty sight, was it? I don't think she is going make any impact on the election one way or the other.
old cubans, that are still living the cold war, with their clocks stuck in the 60's are the only Hispanics the GOP can count on. The GOP is the compilation of angry groups. Nobody is for Romney, everybody in the GOP has issues with somebody else. Party of ideas? it seems like the party of hate, envy and resentment to me.
Most of the 'hate' that I see posted on the vine seems to stem from people like you who detest anyone who does not believe as you do.
Obama says that there is a war against women, yet his white House is considered a hostile work environment for women and female staffers make substantially less than their male counterparts.
Obama says that the republicans want to take away Medicare, yet it is his Obamacare that steals over $700 billion from the program.
Obama claims that the 'rich' don't pay enough in taxes, yet even if the government confiscated every penny that the wealthy have, it wouldn't be enough to make a real dent in the deficit for even one year. By the way, the wealthy already pay the lions share of the income taxes.
The class envy and hatred is coming from the left and is present in nearly every word coming out of their mouths.
What happened to live and let live?
This is still a free country at this point.
To all who Latinos who listened to Ryan. Beware of false and lying prophets. The GOP and republicans in the latest poll believe 65% of all. Latinos are illegals and should be deported. Ryan is not your friend
i don't know Ryan's position but Romney supports the Colorado law, the strictest immigration bill in history. good luck with Latino support.
joe camp, Colorado may have the strictest but we don't go after every brown person walking the streets.
''President Barack Obama has lost the support of one worldwide figure – super model Cindy Crawford. She helped out Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney with his $10.25 million fundraising telethon Monday, Politico reports. In 2008 the 45-year-old Crawford supported Obama.''
Illuminati blood is thicker than water.
Obama is toasted!!! Cindy might have her reasons, I think she realized that liberals are younger and go for younger chicks! angry white males easily set with cougars! I know for experience!! :-)
Not likely at all.
And anyone cares what Cindy Crawford does why???? I'm pretty sure she has little or no influence - on anyone!
Obama/Biden 2012
Pachu might just be fulla poo-poo... in fact I'm pretty certain from his stinking posts that he is too!
Florida = another rigged election.
G.O.P. It means: Grand Old Panderers
Or as they're known here in the south: Good 'ol Panderers
Can they pander or what?
You call it pander, I call it begging. Semantics I guess.
Lyin' Ryan (at least according to the story) didn't even pretend to eat something while there. Perhaps he was 'full of it' already.
Living in America, if these Florida politicians and their Cuban surrogates are more worried about what Obama (as our President - and the US government at large) did or did not do for Cuba, they may very well go back to Cuba and bark from there. This country and this election is about the future of America and the American economy. Those pandering to the fringe elements can take a boat to Cuba or swim across the gulf.
They have the ear of the public. Guess who owns "Clear Channel Broadcasting"
read this:
Bain Capital Owns Clear Channel (Romney Supported by Talk Show sphere)
Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Michael Savage, etc. under umbrella company that candidate Mitt Romney headed.

Wouldn’t it be great if a Republican presidential candidate could just buy the support of just about every major conservative talk show host in America? Well, it may not be as far-fetched as you may think.
Clear Channel owns more radio stations (850) than anyone else in the United States. They also own Premiere Radio Networks, the company that syndicates the radio shows of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Glenn Beck, among others.
Needless to say, Clear Channel basically owns conservative talk radio in the United States. So who owns Clear Channel?
Well, it turns out that Bain Capital is one of the primary owners of Clear Channel. Yes, you read that correctly. The company that Mitt Romney ran for so long is one of the “big bosses” over virtually all conservative talk radio in America.
Oh oh, are we going to go to war with Cuba now too? Yeah, "appeasement" re the Cuban government is a big issue in this election. Look at how a whole dozen people showed up to hear Ryan pontificate on it.
These guys look more pathetic every day.
well, for Romney it is. He would like to have a vacation home there, and his money too!
Why do the cubans vote Republican. They didn't give them handouts and free entry to the US.
Kennedy did. It got him shot too.
Lyin Ryan and Captain Mitt are going to commandeer a yacht, race to Cuba and pull Fidel's plug. Do we really think that Cuban Americans are going to go for this drivel.
the younger generation no, but the older is always angry, and angry people vote GOP.
no Pachu, I think you mean "mad" which is another way of saying "crazy" people vote GOP
I still think it takes brass balls for these two guys to even face an Hispanic audience much less pretend they care
