Subscribe to RSSLAS VEGAS, Nev. -- A plane carrying Ann Romney, wife of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, was forced to make an emergency landing in Denver Friday after smoke began to fill the plane midflight.
Campaign aides said the plane landed safely at Denver International Airport, and there were no reports of any injuries. An electrical fire was the suspected cause of the smoke.

Mrs. Romney was en route from Omaha, Neb., to Santa Monica, Calif., on a chartered Canadair Challenger 601 when the smoke forced an emergency landing. She spoke with Gov. Romney, who was campaigning in Las Vegas at the time, by phone shortly after landing.
An earlier version of this post referred to the plane Mrs. Romney was on as a regional jet. The Federal Aviation Administration advises it is not considered a regional jet.

After reading some of the most incredibly vile comments about Ann Romney's plane having that fire problem I can honestly say if this is what this country has come to, it solely rests on the back of Barack Obama and his administration. He has done nothing for this country from day one but work to divide us. Rich against poor, black and hispanic against white, the so called war on women. And why? Simply because a person happens to have a difference of a political opinion. The Dictator's handbook makes that perfectly clear. "Divide and Conquer". Well fellow American's after reading the garbage spewed by some of you it looks as though he is getting his wish. And those of you who are going along with it so cheerfully are in for a real shock should he be re-elected. He will stop at nothing to bring this country down. He doesn't want to be President, he want's to be Dictator. I guarantee it! And by the way, after that nauseating speech he gave, I am still waiting for the "water's to recede". He's as phone as they come. Open your eyes!

Not much more can be said, due to the fact we are wasting our time and energy. The USA has been divided by Barry into "Americans" and "Socialist". Barry is accomplishing what he intended for his own personal agenda and George Soros as PUPPET MASTER! Another Nazi Germany in the making. But the Socialist can't comprehend this since they don't read history.
Ya know what Mittens response was? To bad they couldn't open the windows, I don't know why they don't open, do you? Also, he made some reference that there was just enough oxygen to make a safe landing. Don't most airplanes have oxygen masks that drop down in case of an emergency? I'm sure he was trying to make a joke about the windows, but he came off as just plain ingnorant as if what he said was a legitimate question.
Also, just a side note, I'm glad everyone is ok.

Yes, in a lot of cases American products are better, but too costly compared to China and other foreign countries. The unions have gotten greedy and even having ownership in GM show they support foreign countries with there pay scales. Obama, Union and GE built new plants in China and hired near 100,000 employees which none were Americans. Where is the support from Obama, unions and GE? Talk about a kick in the jewels to the American auto workers? Even the union doesn't want to pay American wages. How about that outsourcing Barry? Liberals need to open there eyes a bit.Liberals are only concerned about Barry being reelected to keep themselves on the dole. With the requierments on Welfare that Clinton required and Barry relinquished, you are afraid if Romney wins you won't be able to ride on the backs of us Americans. That is your only concern and have ignored ALL the facts about Barry destroying America. You haven't studied Romney's background to have an intelligent response. All we can do is vote for the bsest of the worst even though we don't have a very good choice to pick from. We know what to expect from Barry, NOTHING GOOD. First of all, thank God the plane landed safely and everyone on the plane is o.k. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy! Now, having said that....I can not stand this woman! She actually thinks she is going to be on an interview telling everyone to just stop it...this is hard....ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????? She can't handle the pressure now and she isn't first lady, nor will she ever be! Tell her to give the class act Michelle Obama a call and ask her how she has handled both hers and the President's criticism and has done it with class. This Ann Romney is so used to EVERYONE kissing up to her and her husband she's not used to criticism. The fire aboard Mrs. Romney's flight was determined to have come from the baggage area and was traced to one of her suitcases. It appears she had mistakenly packed a pair of Mitt's trousers and they had spontaneously combusted during a statement he was giving. The resulting fire destroyed her entire Lady next door wardrobe but miraculously left her Sacred Pantaloons unscathed !

While I'm sorry about the plane, the real SMOKE is comming from Ann and her husband Myth. What kind of Bible do they use? Is truth totally uninportant to them both? They are trully great examples for the young MORMONS!
If they suspect sabotage, I'd look no further than the Romney campaign team. They seem to be doing everything they can to throw a wrench in the gears everywhere else.

I am not a fan of Mr.Romney but I am glad his wife is okay. That had to be scary. However, since his campaign seems to consist of "Smoke and Mirrors" and Mitt keeps trying to hide his real self from the voters, this smokescreen seems appropriate although it should have happened to him, not his wife. Anyway, whether I like the candidate or not I don't want anything to happen to them or their families.They put up with a lot just to run. I once thought the GOP had put up with a candidate I would be okay with if Obama lost but after his 47% remarks, I realize i thought too highly of Romney. I am one of the 47% and I don't depend on Government for anything and am not a victim. I believe Warren Buffet is also one of the 47% who support Obama and I don't think he is dependent on government or a victim. Shame on Romney for saying that.

Obama said that the key to economic recovery was with the middle class. He said that the lower class would benefit from the middle class doing better. Sounds like trickle down economics to me. Oh wait. That's what the Dems say was wrong about Reaganomics. Ha.
