President Barack Obama struck back Friday at Mitt Romney's attempt to cast himself as a candidate of "change" as well as the GOP nominee's surreptitiously-recorded comments at a fundraiser earlier this year.
The president delivered some of his most forceful criticism of Romney at a campaign rally in northern Virginia, seizing on Romney's secretly videotaped remarks that he was not looking to appeal to 47 percent of the country.
“The values we believe in don't just belong to workers or businesses, the 53 percent or the 47 percent, the rich or the poor, the 1 percent, the 99 percent -- these are Americans values. They belong to all of us!” Obama said to a cheering crowd of 12,000 at a minor-league baseball stadium in Woodbridge, Virginia.
Obama also noted as a point of contrast that he happened to lose, as a matter of coincidence, 47 percent of the vote in the 2008 election, but still looked to lead as president those Americans who did not vote for him.
“In 2008 47 percent of the country didn't vote for me. But on the night of the election I said to all those Americans, I may not have won your vote but I hear your voices, I need your help and I will be your president,” he said.
“And for everybody who's watching or anybody here who's still undecided, I don't know how many people are going to vote for me this time around, but I'm telling the American people, I will be fighting for you no matter what,” he continued.
The president also took issue in Woodbridge with Romney’s statement during the fundraiser that that 47 percent of voters, who don’t pay income taxes and may be on government assistance, are “victims.”
“I don't see a lot of victims in this crowd today,” he said. “I see hard-working Virginians.”

Obama also struck back on Romney’s criticism Thursday after Obama, speaking at a Univision town hall that day, said he realized after taking office that “you can’t change Washington from the inside.”
At a rally in Sarasota, Florida, shortly after Obama finished his town hall, Romney retooled his stump speech to include this criticism: “The president today threw in the white flag of surrender again. He said he can’t change Washington from inside, he can only change it from outside. Well, we’re going to give him that chance in November. He’s going outside!”
“I can change Washington, I will change Washington, we’ll get the job done from the inside,” Romney continued.
Friday, Obama turned Romney’s words against him, mocking him for getting “really excited” about the remark and rewriting his speech.
“He stood up at a rally. Proudly declared: I'll get the job done from the inside,” Obama said. “What kind of inside job is he talking about?”
Later, he repeated the charge: “We don't want an inside job in Washington. We want change in Washington!”

I would like to state that everything that our president does goes against the same 47% but not a single person says a thing. When he crammed this health care law down the people's throat because the dems had control of the entire government , it was not a problem, at least 50% of the people were told to live with it.
How about the temporary work, what is it a visa, or a permit for the latino people between 16 and 30; congress didn't even get to vote on this one. Our president told 70% of the country he did not care about what they thought.
80% of the country is in favor of stopping the foreign aid to countries like Egypt that hate America and her people, however Mr. Obama just decided on his own to continue giving aid because "they are a have a new government" which is fine and dandy but let their allies give them money.
There are no red or blue states , Obama is President of all 57 states.
obama and his administration should be answering questions about foreign Embassy's and the lack of security given to them. obama should be held in contempt for not reacting to the murders in Egypt, as fast as he could, and then lying about the reasons they were committed. obama should be investigated now for treason. the hell with trying to run for president, obama's not on the side of America.

Everyone needs to look at our Veteran problems that we are facing!!!! We need to get some of our veterans back to work after being retrained and help them finish training. For months, Mitt Romney and his Republican allies have been falsely claiming that President Obama "made the economy worse." This week, Romney preposterously declared Obama "knowingly slowed down our recovery." And today in Missouri, the Republican nominee doubled-down, charging that the President "slowed the recovery and harmed our economy," a result Romney insisted constituted "a moral failure of tragic proportions."
As it turns out, Thursday would have been a good day for Mitt Romney to stop sniffing glue. Because just 24 hours earlier, the director of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Officeblew the Republican slander out of the water.
As the Washington Post reported, the House Budget Committee heard testimony from CBO Director Douglas Elmendorf to answer simple question: did the $787 billion Obama stimulus work? Unfortunately for Republican propagandists, Elmendorf clearly refuted Mitt Romney's claim that the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) was "the largest one-time careless expenditure of government money in American history."
Not content with that response, Kansas Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp tried again. "Where did Washington mess up?" Huelskamp demanded. "Because you're saying most economists think it should've worked. It didn't." As the Post's Lori Montgomery detailed, Elmendorf drove home the point:
Elmendorf's agency released its latest assessment of the stimulus just last week. And as the table below shows, at its peak in 2010 the ARRA added up to 3.3 million jobs, cut unemployment by as much as 1.8 percent and boosted GDP by up to 4.1 percent. (It's also worth noting that the CBO once again confirmed that aid to the states and purchases by the federal government delivers the biggest bang for the buck, while upper income tax cuts provide the least.)

after the presidential elections it is sure that the percent of all involved in the effort to gain results for the american economy has to be 100%. politicians have to work hard to get our global market share reflect the improvement in our domestic job increase. the president alone whoever wins cannot do this alone.
