House Speaker John Boehner avoided directly answering questions about Mitt Romney’s recent comments in a leaked video suggesting that 47 percent of Americans won't vote for him because of their "dependence" on government.
"This election is about jobs, we've said it for 20 months and it hasn't changed," the nation's top elected Republican said about the surreptitiously-recorded comments made by Romney at a closed-door fundraiser in May.
Boehner himself rose from humble beginnings to become speaker, though that background -- of which he was reminded by NBC News -- didn't seem to co0lor the Ohio Republican's perception of Romney.
"Listen, the election is about jobs, it's not about anything else. I've had family members who've lost their jobs in this downturn, two of my brothers, two of my brother-in-laws. I know what is happening out there and I know how difficult this economy is," he said at his weekly press conference.
He continued: “You're going to have both campaigns on both sides say things that get off the message. The message is let's stay focused on jobs because that's what the American people want us to stay focused on.”
Romney's recently-revealed comments have added to the challenges facing his campaign, inviting criticism from both Democrats and Republicans alike. But Boehner dismissed the reaction as "political hand-wringing by these Washington insiders trying to make this race look like it's over for the president."
Boehner added of Romney: "He’s going to win, well, Gallup is obviously the largest polling firm out there…they got this as a one-point race.”
Boehner also referenced the Bush campaigns of 2000 and 2004 as to why he has confidence in Romney winning the presidency.
"In 2000 and 2004, the Bush ground game that got him elected was -- surpassed anything that we had ever done. The Romney ground game today has already exceeded the number of voter contacts that were made in all of 2004.”
GOP aides tell NBC News that Boehner will be hitting the campaign trail aggressively once Congress recesses until after the election on Friday. As speaker, Boehner is one of the party’s most prolific fundraisers and best-known advocates and will play an important role in trying to secure Ohio for the Romney campaign.

I'd rather vote the "status quo" than a libertarian lunatic that thinks 18th century solutions are anywhere near valid for 21st century problems.
The redistribution in this country right now is not wealth, it is poverty!
Household incomes down $5k from $56k to $51k, just in the last year. All while the dollars value is falling fast, thanks to the debt, the FED, and the credit downgrade(s)
On a side note, sorry to see you go TPaw, good luck as a lobbyist! };~p
Sirie if you had but a basic grasp of economics, you'd know that inflation actually helps those in debt, as their debt has less "real" value. Deflation is the worst thing that can happen to those in debt.
TPawl knows a sinking ship when he sees one. After all, he's "been there, done that".
Many of the "21st century problems" are caused by our interventionist foreign policies, our destructive monetary policies, the continued erosion of civil liberties, hyper regulation, etc. In other words, many of our problems are caused by government, not solved by it. And both parties are to blame.
Yes, problems that can be solved by elimination of the FDA, CIA, USDA, etc. Not like those agencies do any good. In addition, the Interstate Highway System is unconstitutional! Of course, not like that has any use in commerce and industry...
Libertarians are even more disconnected than the Tea Party from reality. That speaks volumes.
Libertarians are fun to listen to, but scary to think if they had any real power. I watched former governor Jesse "The Body" Ventura, a self proclaimed Independent but really a Libertarian, on Piers Morgan the other night. Got to admit that he was entertaining and spent most of his time chastising Romney. But when it came to brass tacks, the guy came across as just another dissatisfied citizen looking for the Almighty Holy Grail that just doesn't exist at this time. No one person can deliver us from that. It's a concentrated effort that is lost in the modern age of me first and me only.
Gary Johnson doesn't stand a chance in hell. Unless you live in a very red state you are really wasting your vote.
Rmoney/LyingRyan will destroy everything I have worked my whole life for. What is it you don't get?
No, problems that can be solved by ending the war on drugs, maintaining a strong national defense, not a army of nation builders, abolishing the income tax and going to the Fair Tax, abollishing the Federal Reserve, repealing the Patriot Act & NDAA...shall I continue?
HAHAHAHAHA! Thank you for proving my point. You haven't a single clue. Keep voting for your insane candidates. I'll enjoy laughing at your ignorance.
FYI: I listed agencies Libertarians have specifically targeted for elimination. But I can see you have no rebuttal.
I tried voting for the "lesser of two evils" once, and I'll never do it again. A vote is too valuable to waste on a candidate you don't really believe in, and I've met plenty of Liberals who don't really believe in Obama, and plenty of Conservatives who really don't believe in Romney. Vote your conscience.
Why didn't Republicans pass the President's Jobs Bill years ago?
I think that, if Republicans knew ANYTHING about creating "Jobs" they've already had plenty of time to do that but they didn't, NOT EVEN after Republicans sent the Teagaggers to Washington during the mid-terms on the PROMISE that the Teagaggers were going to create "JOBS JOBS JOBS" but all they did was LIE.
President Obama, without the help of ANY Republican, has already created 4.6 MILLION JOBS, and if we vote a straight Democrat ticket this November, he'll be able to create millions more!
I trust the guy who has actually been working on creating jobs, NOT the guys who have been working to STOP us from getting jobs, and then Republicans even have the gall to try to repeal the minimum wage!
I know who's on Working Americans' side, and it AIN'T the Republicans!
Obama/Biden 2012
Well that's the problem Mr. Speaker. In the last "20 months" Republicans DID NOT keep their word, and STILL have NOT created even ONE JOB! And Republicans are asking us to FIRE the only guy who IS CREATING JOBS, PRESIDENT OBAMA! You gotta be kiddin me!
How many times do you think we're going to buy that crap, Mr. Speaker?
In the past 3-1/2 YEARS, Republicans have NOT created even ONE JOB!
In the meantime, WITHOUT any help from ANY Republican, President Obama managed to create 4.6 MILLION JOBS!
I'm voting for the guy that's actually working for the American People!!!
Obama/Biden 2012
43 consecutive months of 8% or more unemployment with Obama in office.
If he created 4.6 million jobs that number would have come down.
Obama hasn't done SQUAT.
He and his disciples want you to hate wealthy, successful people, and they are counting on that vitriol to bring him a victory in November.
Don't fall for the BOLOGNA twice!
DEMOCRATS FOR ROMNEY 2012!
Xabre - what is your specialty?
Since inflation is a good thing (which I agree to an extent) why is the Fed buying bonds when there is no backers to purchase these?
Sirie if you had but a basic grasp of......
Feel free to bless us with your vast knowledge oh great one! /sarcasm...
you don't have to sign the petition for romney to withdraw form the election.
He's doing that all by himself.
20 months of the Tea Party running Boehner's House. Is it any surprise that our economic recovery is slowing. With these bunch of fools proposing microeconomic solutions for macroeconomic problems, it is lucky none of their legislation ever got passed. Belt tightening in a recession and the recovery from it might work for the household, but it does't work for the economy as a whole.
Our biggest problem is slow sales growth. How does cutting spending spur growth? It doesn't. It eliminates jobs held by government employees and government's contractors. This increases unemployment, decreases sales, and actually could send us back into recession.
The tea party is a bunch of idiots when it comes to economics. Send them back to their jobs in the private sector and let's get this economy growing faster again.
You tell me where you see that:
http://www.garyjohnson2012.com/front
Insane is doing the same thing over and over and over and over again and expecting different results. I don't think what we're doing with the two party system can be any better described than as insane.
ZMan2012, there's just no way in hell I'm gonna vote for any Republican this cycle.
Republicans have stalled our economy because they thought they could benefit Republican Politicians PERSONALLY by keeping the American People unemployed.
Well, Republicans FAILED because President Obama was in there fighting for us!
Republicans had their chance to fix the mess that THEY CREATED, and chose to make us suffer instead.
Republicans mis-used the entire past 4 years to do nothing but HURT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!
AND Republicans had SECOND CHANCE when the People let the Teagaggers in during the Mid-Terms, STILL Republicans did NOTHING to help our Economic Recovery.
Republicans have done NOTHING but tried to force failure on the American People, so now, to hell with the GOP who have done nothing but keep the American People out of jobs, and now the Mitt Robme out there call 1/2 of us "losers".
Hell no!
Obama/Biden 2012
Sirie if you had but a basic grasp of......
typical Xabre, once he gets called, he gets out of dodge.
agreed on that but the establishment no likey. see Ross Perot.
so according to Boehner there is no issue that Romney views half of Americans as moochers? The issue is that someone recorded Romney say it?
So Boehner--where are all the jobs you promised us?
DingleB,
I'd say throwing your vote away on Gary Johnson might be an insane thing to do if I hadn't voted for John Anderson in 1980 and deprived Jimmy Carter of a vote and saw his progressive environmental policies which I liked repealed by the winner Ronald Reagan.
Wow, did I read Congress will recess till AFTER the election. It seems they just got back! Ok, I can sort of see that they need to campaign and all because surely they are not getting the days off based on the amount of work they put in.
It sounds like Boehner is spanking the "insiders" who run Romney's campaign. It won't be long before Romney's campaign managers start pulling their ripcords and bailing out of Mitt's crash-and-burn campaign. Damn.
Boehner keeps saying "Those on the other side of the isle just wants to kick the problems down the road." so what does HE do? He's allowing the do nothing congress to go into recess without passing a jobs bill...
This country needs to vote these fools out of office...
Even the big GOP money is dwindling for Mitt's campaign....they know he will lose so are putting more money into the House and Senate races...trying to save whatever they can.
Hey Mit...if you are going to talk about thr 47% who pay no income tax....then prove that you do and show us more than 1 partial year of returns......what you are hiding can't be worse than the shambles you are in now.....or can it?????
If John Boehner and the GOP are so interested in jobs, why did the Senate Republicans just kill yet another jobs bill, this one which would have helped veterans ?
While Willard Mitt Romney and the Republican party have decided that almost half of the United States does not deserve its attention, President Obama and the Democratic party still strive to meet the goals of our nation as stated by Emma Lazurus in "The New Colossus" (emphasis mine.)
Which America do you want to live in ?
The America of the Republican party, where each person is expected to be on their own, regardless of circumstances, to face their fate or DIE ?
Or the America of the Democratic party, where we work together toward opportunity, where "the golden door" is the ability of each and every person to prosper ?
Oh... It's about jobs! And all this time I thought it was about Abortion, Post Offices and Gay Marriage...
Mitt doesn't pay federal income tax--he hasn't had a real job in 10 years--Mitt is part of the 47% he disparages.
And now we find out that Mitt's father was on federal assistance himself!
You can't make this stuff up. Hilarious if it wasn't so sad!!

Let's be fair - he did . Don't you remember Romney sying he didn't make "much" for for his speeches? Poor guy only make like $370,000+ in speeking fees that year (plus his regular $50 million)...how did he survive????
Romney, the more he speaks the more he sounds like a complete azzhole.
Hey, I'd tell the same amount of lies and flip flops as Romeny for half of that 370K and I would need only one to make more than I have ever made working.
Looks to me like Agent Orange and Mitt Romney are two peas in a pod. On the video, Mitt tells his BFFs that he wouldn't help his brother and lo and behold, here is Boehner literally saying the same thing. He has brothers that are out of work yet he and his buddies in congress are doing all they can to block job creation. I guess they believe in the saying that you can choose your friends but your stuck with your family.
Mr Speaker--it was about jobs in 2010 and your side not only didn't deliver, it blocked any meaningful legislation that would have helped. So you have absolutely no business stating that it has always been about jobs--it has been anything BUT jobs with the TPGOP! What it is really about is obstructing any progress to be made under President Obama's term and to make him a one-term president--regardless of the consequences to the 99% of the American people! Very patriotic--throw 99% of the American population under the bus--just to remove one man from the White House! Disgraceful!

Nurse - While I agree that the congress did nothing for the last two years, the economy and confidence would benefit from a government that has a solid budget in place. That is just my opinion, however I find it strange that we as a country have not had a budget for years, also tie this to why the corporations are holding on to the wealth that they have accumulated.
So, why have we allowed our government to go without a budget? We need to vote out all those in power, unfortunately there is no "all incumbents out" choice on the ballot!
Did you hear Mitt saying he wished he was "Latino" because it'd make things "easier" for him? I wonder if he'd "self-deport?"
TO: sirie who wrote:
Mitt Robme says, in essence, THE LAST THING HE WOULD DO, if you would give him 8 years, before he leaves he MIGHT balance the budget, but then again, he might NOT.
But you can't see that "balancing the budget" is a game Republicans are playing on you because Republicans are NOT going to balance any budget! Hell, Republicans can barely count, and when they try to count they always get it wrong!
The ONLY President in recent times to ever "balance the budget" was Democrat President Bill Clinton.

Senate Republicans blocked the Veteran jobs bill yesterday!!!!!
It's a shame that Congressional Republicans won't even allow a vote on a Veteran jobs bill that is paid for and has a majority support and bi-partisan support.
You're correct Debbie!
Once again Luke missed a SoftBall opening to question Speaker Boehner about "JOBS", as he said this before the 201o election also!
Hey Luke, take off your Partisan Hat & dive into the fundementals of Reporting, with that being , Speaker Boehner, if this election is also about JOBS, then Why has your Leadership brought 31 Votes on Repealing HealthCare & Why has Leadership Voted 100000000000000000000000000 times, to Plant the GOP Flag inside a Womens Womb?

Directly answering questions is becoming a registered trait of the GOP these days. Even the "Weeper" can't help the wannabe "Liar in Chief" now. This is too funny.
I don't really like John Boehner very much at all. But, he is right when he says this electiion is about jobs. If Obama were to get a Presidential report card after four years, there would be a big fat "F" marked in the jobs catagory.
Democrats for Romney 2012!
and what grade would you give the congress elected in 2010 to do exactly that, create jobs? Well, the public has and it's a 9% approval rating. There's where the problem lies.
ZMan2012.....I guess if the repubs in congress had not filibustered Obama's Jobs bill from last year we would have more jobs and maybe you would not be unjustly complaining. Maybe you should have called them last year and asked them why they blocked it. Maybe you can call them today and ask why they just yesterday voted down a bill for our vets too. Put the blame where it belongs. Obama gets an "A" for putting up with this obstructionist republican congress that started day one of his term. They all should be tried for treason, imho.
OBAMA/BIDEN 2012!!!
HILLARY/WARREN 2016!!!!
@sistagirl
First off, Obama's jobs bill was called "An infernal mish-mash of taxes, subsidies, and regulations." by a leading economist.
The "Buy American" provision could be overridden if (in the opinion of the head of the respective federal agency for which materials were being purchased) it was not in the "public interest."
It would have also forced the use of some American made materials, which could be purchased more cheaply if manufactured offshore, thus forcing taxpayers to pay more for certain projects than they normally would.
Also, the bill would have forced contractors to pay full union wages to non-union workers on some projects. The goal of any purchaser in any business is to pay less, not to pay more for labor and materials. So, the bill would have put more money into the pockets of a select few workers. But, it would also take money away from others such as small contractors.
Lastly (and I couldgo on about this all day, but I have other things to do) the bill would have forced employers to guaranty long term employment for some people, in exchange for short term tax cuts which would expire after the employer had expanded his overhead by hiring more people.
In short, it was a bad bill that would have killed just as many jobs as it created.
You're also forgetting that Obama told America "the jobs are shovel ready"when he ran for offiice in 2008.
In case you hadn't noticed, that was a lie.
Its you who have no right to complain, unless you actually do some research and read all, or at least parts of (or even about) the bills of which you speak. I haven't read about the veterans jobs bill. But, I'm quite sure you can't create jobs for anyone, let alone veterans, by simply waving a magic wand.
So, if you really want to put the blame where it belongs, wrap it up in a nice gift box and leave it on the front doorstep of the White House, because THAT'S where the buck stops, and Obama hasn't done SQUAT!
DEMOCRATS FOR ROMNEY 2012
Zman: "You're also forgetting that Obama told America "the jobs are shovel ready"when he ran for offiice in 2008."
Not Obama's fault that many governors took the $ and used it to balance their budgets instead of providing the jobs we needed.
@Maxwell's Silver Hammer
The governors to whom you refer didn' promise they would, or even could create "shovel ready" jobs.
But, Obama did.
Obama hasn't done squat to make this economy any better, and NO we're NOT better off than we were four years ago.
In fact, we're a hell of a lot worse off, and this President is in so far over his head it isn't funny.
It's time to move on. We can't and shouldn't make the same mistake we made with Bush. Bush's second term was a HUGE mistake on the part of the voters, and to put Obama back in office would be the same thing.
Just as we should have changed out Presidents in 2004, we need to do it right now!
DEMOCRATS FOR ROMNEY 2012!
So where are the jobs Boehner? Where is that laser like focus on jobs that you promised us would happen if Repubicans took control of the House? Why have you wasted more time on abortion and incandescent light bulbs than working with the President to create jobs? If the election is still about jobs and you Republicans took the House promising to focus on jobs, shouldn't that be seen as a failure on your part Boehner?
TO: Al in Visalia CA:
Hell yes!
Obama/Biden 2012
So where are the jobs o'bama? Where is that laser like focus on jobs and budget cutting that you promised us would happen if you became president? Why have you wasted more time on free birth control, Styrofoam cups, golf and appeasing arab terrorists than working with the GOP to create jobs? If the election is still about jobs and your Dems ran both the House and the Senate for two years, promising to focus on jobs, shouldn't that be seen as a failure on your part o'bama?
You need a reality check! Blame Obama because Congress refuses to do their job and vote on his jobs bills! Right!

Obama/Biden 2012
So Reality Check, would you agree that the Republicans refusal to work with Obama at a time when the nation was facing a severe economic crisis of the Republican's making borderline treason? Also, what is the hang up you righties have about Obama playing a round of golf? How long does it take to play a round of golf anyways, maybe 2 hours? As for appeasing Arab terrorists, have you asked Bin Laden or Gaddafi how that is going?
Okay which is it libs? You blame Bush for the jobs lost but now it is Congress (House) that is to blame for no jobs being "created"? Remember who controlled two thirds of the government from 2007 to 2010?

Do you know of ANY Republican in Washington that has created even ONE job since the 2nd Great Depression? No you do NOT!
For your information, President Obama has created 4.6 million jobs.
Obama/Biden 2012
And for your information, the president doesn't create jobs. The environment in the country creates jobs and with this administration, it still stinks. And FYI, we are still at a deficit from the highest employment number of January of 2008. From that time until July of 2010, we lost 8.8 million jobs. That leaves us at a deficit of 4.3 million (because Obama said 4.5 not 4.6). And, if the participation rate was the same now as it was the day Obama was inaugurated, the UE rate now would be 10.9%. Guess that 7.8% he "inherited" doesn't look so bad now.
And BTW, can you change your picture? I get real sick of someone trying to sound intelligent with a picture of Marilyn Monroe as the symbol. Try Lucille Ball or something. Actually, you would better key people to your thoughts if it was Phyllis Diller.
Jobless? Romney doesn't want to be your president. You're not paying taxes!
You're also not paying taxes if you're elderly, a child, or deployed military in combat zones.
That's right, Romney thinks deployed military risking their lives are freeloaders.
Hey Boehner, where are those jobs? In case you think we have forgotten what you promised the electorate in 2010, we haven't. You are more than happy to say a few words when the bleak jobs numbers report comes out; all the ready to bash the President. Now you are mute when asked about your presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Why so quiet? Cat got your tong? Since you mentioned jobs, tell us how your candidate is going to create all those jobs for us forty seven percenters WHEN HE DOES NOT EVEN THINK WE ARE WORTHY OF EXISTING and DO NOT CARE ABOUT US!!!! So don't worry about it John Boehner, we will speak loud and clear on election day!!!!
I hope the good people of Ohio have the sense to replace cryin' Johnny with someone else.
There you have it, folks. According to Speaker Boehner, this election is no longer about the following:
Gas Prices, Education, Social Security, Medicare, Health Care Reform, Afghanistan, Israel, Iran, North Korea, Trade, China, Russia, Iraq, Home Values, "Fast And Furious", Alternative Energy, Solyndra, General Motors, Bailouts, TARP, Defense Contracts, Debt, Budget Deficits, Government Subsidies, Foreign Policy, The Troops, Taxes...
You get the idea.
(Hey, weren't the 2010 elections supposed to be about jobs? So...uh...where are they?)
I thought those elections were about jobs too and when the tea party took over in my state the only thing they created was the right to hunt with a spear legally in the state!! Good work guys!!
Man of Orange...where are the jobs you talked abut incessantly in 2010??????
Oh...too many post offices to rename.....too many times trying to repeal Romney (oops - Obama) Care....too many times trying to make English the official language....too many vaginas to probe...too many service people to put in harms way...yet give them no support when they return....too many NO's to help American's in need....too many taxes to repeal.....
Yea....9% approval rating show's how WE feel about you....
G *NO* P - don't need no fact checkers! THEY CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
C'mon Mythe show us the 1040's - What ARE you hiding@?
in my state (Michigan) you now can ride a motorcycle without a helmet and buy formerly illegal fireworks. And this from a governor who ran on his record of job creation at Gateway. Go figure. The real savior of this state resides in the White House. The guy who wants to be there said let it go bankrupt.
If the election is about jobs, why has the House held 37 votes to repeal ObamaCare and not passed the President's jobs bill?
Other than the hunting with spears brainstorm they argued over whether or not to make it legal to carry concealed weapons into banks, bars and the capitol building. I guess they were too busy to find a way to create a job or two.
i believe a number of jobs bills in harry reid's inbox. send a not to him to do something about them.
ah, yes, the mythic "jobs bills" filled with abortion, same sex marriage and other right wing social agenda amendments that would overturn everything the dems stand for. no thanks, we'll have a much better congress in a few months as a result of the republican/tea party obsession with what goes on in bedrooms instead of factories and warehouses...
Will there be unanimous consent to move forward and consider the legislation?

Boehner could call 9/11 an elevator accident too.
Answer these very easy questions Romney supporters:
1) Tell me why do you far right Taliban Christians think you are entitled to get into my bedroom?
2) Tell why to you far right Taliban Christians think every Muslin is out to get you?
3) Tell me why you far right Taliban Christians think you are entitled to say what is a marriage?
4) Tell me why does the far right Taliban Christians think you are entitled to say whether my wife or daughters get a vaginal probe?
5) Tell me why the far right Taliban Christians hasn’t explain exactly what is a legitimate rape?
6) Tell me why the far right Taliban Christians seem entitled to ship our jobs overseas and then it says it sucks to be you fend for yourself?
7) Tell me why the far right Taliban Christians thinks they are entitled to put the elderly, disabled, and Military Vets out on the street to fend for themselves?
And as far as the nation debt goes,
Since ole George did not have a way to pay for these 2 unfunded wars he started, what was President Obama suppose to do?
Tell the companies that supported these wars, hey I did not start these, so I am not going to pay you?
Tell the military, hey I did not send you over there so I am not going to pay you?
Hey go see George, he started this so he will pay you.

OBAMA/BIDEN 2012
In George's defense, I would say Darth Paranoid (VP Cheney) is to blame. George shares the fault because he relied too heavily on one of his father's advisors.
And now Romney wants to use the remnants of that same team to go back to what got us into this mess in the first place. The anti-Obama fanatics insist they want to try something different with their ABO theme, but they're really wanting to go backward and try something that already failed cause they liked it so much. Kinda' like the trickle down that has a 30+ year history of FAILURE. Let's double down and maybe it will work this time? Only for the 1%ers. And if you're not already in that club you're a fool to think you will ever be, not playing by their rules.
Boner STILL doesn't get it. The uproar over $$$Romney's$$$ most recent gaffe, the 47% comment, is coming from the electorate, not Washington Insiders.
He and Congress are SO unpopular that he will be doing the President a favor by campaigning for $$$Romney$$$.
The statement wasn't aimed at indies, it was aimed at some of the "values voters" who fall into that 47 percent category who probably felt a lot of cognitive dissonance when they saw "their guy" call everyone who pays no income tax a freeloader.
Make no mistake, they are scrambling to hold their base together, even as Mitt (in another story today) tries to move to the center by softening his stances somewhat, bringing back memories of "Massachusetts Mitt", the spectre of which horrifies real Conservatives.
Spartan, the way I see it, first Mitt blew off 47% of the United States Population, then, by "changing horses in the middle of the stream" Mitt then turned his back on his base which is all those RWNJ wackos that stopped Mitt from moving to the middle in the first place.
The result: A complete collapse of Mitt Robme's Campaign.
Obama/Biden 2012
Halo Masterchief, agreed.
The Romney campaign is waffling around so much from one day to the next. One day he says he will keep some parts of the ACA then clarifies the next all will be replealed. One day he says he doesn't care about 47% of the population then comes out and says he is running for 100% of Americans. His base, who happen to be not part of the favored and responsible 53%, are starting to see how he really feels about the.
While the economy and jobs are a significant focus of this election, it would be a serious mistake to think this subject is the sum and total of all concerns. I'm not interested in any "one hit wonder." I'm interested in a President that will be there for all the people and capable of addressing multiple issues.
If Gov. Romney is such a jobs and economy oriented fella, how come he hasn't called out all the obstructionists in Congress and actually blocking growth, job development, and economic recovery? Until he does that he is nothing more than a talking hat (sincere apologies to Harry Potter!).
and do ya notice Mythe sez it's gonna take *8* years for him fix everything....create 12 million jobs (ironically the amount of jobs that will be created on the natural progression of things)...It took the "unmentionable" less than 8 years to ruin our economy -(where was that PAYGO during those years)...and oh...why bother to put 2 wars on the books....just think how bad the debt would have been if accepted accounting principals were followed......
Yet the G *NO* P wants all these problems solved yesterday without their help....
GNOP don't need no fact checkers...THEY CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
C'mpn Mythe - Show is the 1040's!! What ARE you hiding@?
Dick Armey....Boehner....is there something that the names of recent (R) house leaders are trying to tell us?
that we're getting screwed?
REPUBLICANS.....birds of a feather....
Romney/Ryan, Boehner, Todd Akin, Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, Mr. 999 ++++++++++++
How can anyone dismiss these atrocious insults from a wanna be Commander-&- Chief???
Up-to-date.........."NO APOLOGY"
OBAMA/BIDEN 2012
When Romney loses in November do you think Boner will cry?
He'll cry when the good people of Ohio have the good sense to turn him out of office. What will cryin' Johnny do?
Too bad we can't cast a "No Confidence" vote with Boehner and his House Trolls, then everybody else could go back to work and we could all move Forward.
"In 2000 and 2004, the Bush" strategy of cheating and election fraud enabled him to win.
End of story.
Right on Bob!!!
Here we go again... another GOP leader speaks.

Obama/Biden 2012
i think an audit should be done on romney....oh wait....the man thinks his money can & will buy him "everything",.....& when his ole lady said,(many mths ago, when interviewed),that bringing up his tax returns would cause more turmoil then it would be worth,,,,,,RED FLAG people!!!!!!! boy,i bet he was pissed with her @ that moment....
What ever happened to the story about Mitts tax returns being stolen? Did he pay the extortionist? Is the FBI still working the case or has an arrest been made?
All the sound bites, remarks taken out of context, "clever" misspellings, and childish name-calling aside; let's take a quick look at just one of the things this election means to us personally.
Last week the Obama administration started its third round of printing fiat money (currency that a government has declared to be legal tender, despite the fact that it has no intrinsic value and is not backed by reserves). $600 billion is the current estimate. That's almost $2,000 apiece for every man, woman, and child in the country! In the past, when governments print money to cover their own expenses, massive inflation results. To us, personally, that means the buying power of our savings and income will be severely reduced within about a year, if Obama is reelected. Think about what you will need to do to survive - it will happen.
Romney is a proponent of fiscal conservatism. That is, he recognizes the effects of deficit spending.
"This election is about jobs, we've said it for 20 months and it hasn't changed..."
Yes, talk is cheap, now please act and create a few of the jobs you promised. The Tea Party is a disgrace.
Don - Are you suggesting that there has been no job growth in the last 20 months?

Kannin, Republicans wouldn't dare try to take credit for creating any "jobs" they know, and we know, they took no part in creating, would they?" We all know Republicans have told a lot of "whoppers" especially lately, but that would absolutely take the cake!
I can say unequivocally that Republicans have done absolutely NOTHING to spur job growth, and that has been Republicans ENTIRE STRATEGY and their plan of how they intend to get elected, and re-elected, by stalling job growth, being absolute unwavering obstructionists, and by stalling our Economic Recovery, and then try to blame President Obama for what Republicans refused to do!
Republicans have said all of this STRAIGHT OUT, including Republican zombie supporters who loudly admitted to sending Teagaggers to Washington for the sole purpose of creating gridlock.
In the meantime, President Obama has created 4.6 million jobs, and President Obama has put policies in place that are so guaranteed to create 12,000,000 jobs that Mitt Robme, who hasn't even been to Washington, is already try to steal credit for.
Now tell us your little story about Republicans' version of "job growth".
