Obama is a waffling fool who has no personal mantra. One week after one of his ambassadors has been murdered in a terrorist attack as defined by the entire world, Obama finally figured out it was a terrorist attack. What is going on in this administration? Is Obama out partying every day with his appointees. Neither he nor his appointees seem to know what is going on in the world. Obama should be impeached immediately. If the President doesn't know a terrorist attack from a demonstration in over a week, they are massively ignorant with massively ignorant staffs. The guy should be cleaning toilets in some Chicago grade school! He'd be with his peers.

Anything and everything is fair game for spin doctors who twist and distort facts for a living. Any time I see a video snippet I immediately become suspicious since clipping and editing statements is just too easy these days (I have audio and video editing software right here on my workstation at home), and most of the edited stuff is being used to stir up antagonism within the ranks of voters.

Divisive and incendiary rhetoric is very much in vogue these days as a viable political tool. The present day American political landscape is littered with hate mongering and outrageous propaganda, the likes of which have not been seen since Joseph Goebbels' heyday, nearly a century ago. The "Divide and Conquer" philosophy, though despicable, is nevertheless one of the most efficient and effective methods known to man for achieving power and leadership over the mass populace, and it's making a big time comeback.

As a nation of free, enlightened, critical thinking people, we should never shirk, or take for granted our responsibility to carefully examine and question every political contention, assertion, and argument, as well as the possible motivations behind them that drive and sustain them. As big money from obscenely wealthy corporate plutocrats pours into the political fray, the message gets mixed, and the truth distorted to the point that even the most astute members of the electorate become hard pressed to separate fact from fiction. And while this benefits those who would mislead us, it also undermines our trust in the very people we need to be able to trust the most (our elected representatives).

Now, with a major election a mere month and a half away, we all need to start by taking a deep breath, clearing out all the partisan political rhetoric we have been deluged with for the last nine months, take a moment to consider the condition of our country with regard to our economy, our security, our future goals, and most importantly, our basic rights under the constitution.

There's a lot on the table this time around, and a lot has been said about the choice we are facing. What it comes down to is what you want in your government and what your government is going to require from you. Because as we all know, we can only ASK of our Government, whereas our government signs into LAW, and MANDATES from us.

The choice could not be more black and white. If you value the right to collectively bargain with employers, if you value your Social Security benefits, the education of your children, or the healthcare rights of your wives and daughters, the medical assistance for your elderly parents, the veterans benefits for our kids who serve in the military, the laws that protect our bank and retirement accounts, and that prevent usury and fraud, our basic right to vote, etc.

All of this...either the continuation of it, or the elimination of most or all of it altogether, depends entirely on which party we vote into power this November. Regardless of all the loud jangling rhetorical background noise, the heated and acrimonious name calling, and the daily visual media distractions, the core issues are still crystal clear, and they directly affect the quality of you and your family's lives over the next several years.

I don't know how to state it any more plainly, this election is more than just the usual choice of which talking heads and self serving opportunists we allow to rule over us, it's about what our state of existence is ultimately going to become.

This is what the debates are going to be about quotes and statements of both men so as an Obama supporter I think he should answer what he meant "I do believe in redistribution" just like Mr. Romney should answer what he meant "i don't care about the poor the poor have a safety net if the safety needs fixinf I'll fix it" neither one sounds like they made a mistake in there statements and meant what they said. Big deal, President Obama used the phrase "redistribution of wealth" in the context of helping communities wallowing in poverty with no foreseeable way out of their morass without serious help. Anyone with half a brain understands what he said when he used that phrase. He did not mean some communist ideal of equal distribution of wealth, but a fair distribution of wealth which is fast becoming less and less fair. We all know this, but some are unwilling to admit it due to their political persuasion. If you listen to what was cut from the Republican version of the recording you will hear Obama discuss attracting business and entrepreneurship into these communities to create jobs and hope for the people who live there. This is a legitimate method of "redistribution of wealth" understood in all civilized countries. You can't create a fair distribution of wealth, if you are exporting millions of jobs overseas. This is something the Republicans don't seem to understand or choose to ignore. It's extremely disingenuous when the Republicans choose to criticize someone like Obama who is trying to make things better for those in poverty by providing them with jobs and to misconstrue what he and the Democrats in general have been trying to do as socialism, Communism, Marxism, etc. How pathetic.
