I'm not going to repeat the rumors you spread on Friday, regarding the body of Ambassador Chris Stevens, only to say, I found out later the truth is, he suffocated when the safe house was set on fire, and was rushed to the hospitals after he was found by Libyans seeking to save him.

Libya is a country that just overturned a dictatorship. They barely have an organized security force capable of protecting their own president, much less a foreign embassy. That Ambassador Stevens risked his life to represent America there, as the Libyans struggle to create a democracy, makes him a true American hero.

With fires blazing inside the compound within minutes of the attack beginning, the US ambassador became separated from other staff in thick smoke, which is believed to have caused him to suffocate.

Honestly, there just is no accounting for such total ignorance.
