The impressive number of facts and numbers being thrown around at the DNC was bound to swing polls to Obama's favor, particularly among independents.

Jon Stewart played a video of Clinton's DNC speech and Paul Ryan's rebuttal iterating back and forth. The difference was so astounding it was downright pathetic.

So what did they really said.

NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist battleground polls that show President Obama leading Mitt Romney in Ohio, Florida and Virginia.

Same old spin. It looks, like it, but is withing the 4% margin of error. Summarizing it, is still too close to call. You too guys are really an eye opener.

Surprise coming next week.

Me and a lot of other Vietnam, Vets would not even consider voting for Romney who demonstrated IN FAVOR! of the Vietnam war. Many of us were against it, but served our country when we were called up. Talk about being out of step. And then, in the great tradition of his family, he weasels out of service with some phony deferment (religious mission?- in France?). In my opinion he is a hypocritical scumbag.

Maybe they'll replace Romney with the guy from Oz with a brain - doubtful but maybe.

Or maybe they'll begin a federal investigation into Grover Norquist and the Republicans who sign an oath to him. Since he's supported by factions outside the US this could prove to be treasonous activity on the part of the GOP!

Mitt "R-money's" big surprises next week...

!!! Republicans will introduce a measure to make Switzerland and the Cayman Islands the 51st and 52nd states, with a total of 83 electoral votes, thus making it possible for Mitt "R-money" to actually win the electoral vote !!! (Assuming most of the citizens of those countries don't realize that they can vote for US President).

On hard-hitting "Kelly and Michael" this morning......

When the questions turned to who would play Mitt in a movie, Romney said he'd like to see his "favorite actor," Gene Hackman, in the role. Romney cited Hackman's work in "The Birdcage," in which he played Kevin Keeley, a conservative senator from Ohio whose daughter wants to marry the son of a gay couple, and ends up dressing as the ugliest transvestite ever, to escape the papparazzi.

Hmmm....yes, Mitt, I can see it happening........LOL. At least he didn't insult any more foreign countries.

J.D. Still - rewind the tape a little bit further back to Bush's invasion of Iraq. How did that work out? Especially after he landed on a carrier in a fighter jet to the banner that read "Mission Accomplished" Then what followed was 8 years of insurgent attacks that killed or maimed over 10's of thousands of our soldiers. And you have the nerve to call Obama a bad Commander in Chief?

oh and btw, Iraq had a dictator much like Libya. Didn't see you clamoring to keep him in power.

KB and Tony

KB, A disappointingly weak response, typical of many on this site, but, if You ever do have anything of actual substance to contribute to a mature adult exchange of ideas and opinions, please feel free.

Tony,O.K., How far back do You want to rewind? Back to Carter abandoning the Shah, and the results of that, Sweet Willie Clinton's bombing of an aspirin factory and one of Osama's training camps and what that started,Saddams invasion of Kuwait, his defeat, and agreement to a cessesstion of hostilities,(not an end to the war, a cease fire only, with hostilities to be resumed if the agreement was violated), in exchange for Saddams promises to stop his agression, disarm, stop his nuclear program and respect a no fly zone all of which he did violate , thus the resumption of hostilities. As to the ship's banner, that was put up by the crew of the ship talking about the return of the ship from their mission, not the end of the war, as I believe You already knew. Now as to Comrade Obama as our Commander in Chief, He has destroyed our relationships with Our traditional European allies, betrayed Our new Eastern European allies, got caught on an open mike plotting with the Russians as to what they are going to do after the election,(and it doesn't even bother You lefties as to what that might be),got caught smuggling weapons to anti government forces in Mexico and Honduras, then refuses to say why, shuts down our space program,(not that space will be of any importance to Our future security or anything), making us have to beg the Russians for rides to the space station,(what would happen if they ever said no?), the Mid East is in flames,Iraq and Afghanistan have been given their abandonment dates so the enemy now knows how long they have to wait, China owns us because of this administrations irresponsible spending with absolutely nothing to show for it, threatening our economic stability, and at the same time Obama has sucked up to every tin horn socialist dictator he can while planning cuts that will decimate our armed forces leaving us with Our smallest Air Force Ever and Our smallest Army and Navy since before World War Two, just as Americans and American interests are increasingly being attacked around the globe. So,would I call Obama a bad Commander in Chief? No, I would never let him off that easily, no one could do that many things to harm the nation out of simple incompetence, I just cant believe that You would dare to even try to defend his actions.

    #1.24 - Fri Sep 14, 2012 10:50 PM EDT

OK, J.D... let's take it point by point (although your comment was so ridiculous it hardly seems worth going into):

the thought of a U.S. Ambassador, raped , murdered, and drug through the streets, sinks into the American psyche,

Where did you read that Chris Stevens was raped?

He was not ''drug through the streets''. Libyan rescuers were taking him to the hospital. He had suffered smoke inhalation and he died in the hospital.

and people remember that it was Comrade Obama who bypassed Congress to overthrow the Governments of those countries, putting them in their current state of chaos,

First, you insult the President by calling him 'comrade'... and then you blame him for overthrowing the governments of Middle Eastern countries?? And yet you want us to respect your lunacy? HA!!

and then they find out the White House was forwarned of the current Libya attack and did nothing!and they think about Comrade Obama going on to bed, to get a good nights sleep, so the Noble Leader could be well rested for something really important, HIS fund raising junket to Las Vegas the next day, without even knowing or caring about the fate of our Embassies or Our People there!,and then They think about the Dems bragging about Foreign Policy being the Comrades STRONG SUIT !,while offering NO solutions for Them, during the Dems recent little feel good pep rally, as THEY, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE desperately continue to look for jobs that aren't there and worry about losing THEIR homes,(thanks Dodd-Frank),.....They will come to the only logical conclusion They can, there is no hope with this man and party, and change needs to be made.

Are you done with your rant now? Do you feel better? I think a cold beer would have achieved a better effect... but some people might want to avoid alcohol...

We are all entitled to an opinion. We are not entitled to blatant lies.

    Have a nice day.

Very Good! Now We can have a discussion:

"U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens was reportedly sodomized and raped before his death and then displayed in a manner similar to what happened with Ghaddafi" according to Tayyar.org, a Lebanese media publication and AFP,(Agence France-Presse),who received the information from Wanis al-Sharif a senior Libyan Interior Ministry Official in Benghazi.

Why would I call Obama"'Comrade"?From the Article,"Newspaper Shows Obama belonged to Socialist Party" by Aaron Klein, which uncovers in the Democratic Socialist for America's own newspaper, "The New Ground", an article, with photos of Obama with other New Party members, showing Obama belonged to the Marxist-Socialist New Party, with Obama thanking them for Their support when he ran for the Illinois State House in 1996.(You can google the article Yourself).

As far as Obama overthrowing the Governments of Libya and Egypt without Congressional approval, that is common knowledge, I'm not going to spoon feed that to You, but I would encourage You to do some research Yourself, You might be surprised at the things the Main Stream Media does not tell You, and You might start to ask Yourself ,Why? while having a good stiff drink.

Opinions are like anusses everyone has one, but, facts are facts, and they will eventually be discovered.

What's presidential in a liar, flip flopper, nerveless man who can't stand up to the far right or stand up for what he believes in, and above someone without a CORE. You keep hearing people like Joe Scarborough saying he should change and become something he's not.....really? If he changes, do we then erase his past? I just don't get it. This man has laid all he's got out there and the people have seen it all and making their judgment. He's not for US.

I think it was Rachel Maddow who reminded us last night of the "3 AM call"---who do we want to get that call? I wouldn't want Mitt to be the one getting the call and having to respond instantaneously. He needs several days to flip flop his position and test it for political impact. Moreover, the point of Noid's post was to compare Christian violence over insults to religion with Islamic violence. There is no equivalency- because there is no Chrostian violence to point to over such insults.

On October 22, 1988, 13 people were injured including 4 with severe burns when a fundamentalist Christian group launched molotov cocktails into a movie theater in Paris that was showing The Last Temptation of Christ.

However, not to throw a damper on things does this include polling about the middle east troubles; I hope the middle east attacks die down. Least of all for political reasons, I'm concerned about safety.

By the way I think that Obama's calling out Egypt on air was pretty bold. It looks that it may pay benefits if the Egyptians bolster their riot police to protect against the flood of "day of prayer protestors/attackers".

POLLS are rigged and purchased. It is to EASY for CORRUPTION in this FIELD of NONSENSE. Their are NO LAWS that govern HOW and WHO they or anybody can set-up a POLL. There is NO TRANSPANCY

It should be OUTLAWED. It is more CORRUPTION than TRUTH !!!!!
