I guess what my comment is what does he consider high end earners? I earned 104K last year, I am a single mom, my daughter goes to college, and I have a home. I paid 24% in taxes last year after my deductions IE: Home interest, property taxes, home office, just basic things. He is saying people that earn more then 100k, can he be a little more specific. I thought that made me the middle class, but what he is saying I am a higher income earner. Ummmmm.....he paid 14% tax, I paid 24%, he made over 250 million, I made 104K. How am I the higher income taxpayer? Losing the home interest tax deduction, and the property tax deduction, will not hurt him. It will kill me and I will see a tax increase. How much more do they think we can take? As it is if he is elected I will be denied insurance for a pre-existing condition when and if ever I can retire someday. Trust me no one will insure someone who had a brain tumor, I miss the 55 cut off by 3.5 years, so I guess I am one of those "it does not work that way" taxpayers he refers to. I am under my employer's insurance now, but as we now that will go away when I retire. So I fall into the to bad so sad category I guess. Guess I get to see myself and others suffer as my father who was a Korean war vet. Uninsureable, and forgotten by the government.

I can't help but see Robme/Lyin Ryan, as the Joker and the Riddler; or maybe even Jekyll and Hyde in oneness of body and spirit! Neither of which are capable of telling the truth! The American people represent Batman, the caped crime fighter, and enemy to those who would buy America for their very own singular play toy! These two cannot be trusted to be honest and fair with the people. The very purpose of primaries and each caucus, debates and close-ups; is for us, the voting public, to get a solid view of each candidate and what they are proposing to offer in order to solve the problems Americans share and are concerned about.

Can anyone say at this point that they are comfortable with answers given by the RXR railroad engineers, RobmeXRyan? They are both far too evasive and even if they are guilty of NOTHING; their actions seem to indicate otherwise! Hiding tax info and refusing to give a straight answer to a direct question. The POTUS must make the people "feel" confident that they can be trusted to keep America's creed and core values system.

There is so much at stake this time around! Please; think before you vote!

Okay, it is obvious that most of the commenters on this and the previous article have not actually sat down and listened to Romney. Closing loopholes IS a plan. Getting 23 million more Americans working and paying their fair share of taxes IS a plan. Not having to pay 23 million Americans to sit home IS a plan. It is not complicated, but your Democratic leaders want you to believe it is all very complicated and leave the details to them. They want you to repeat Romney Lied/Ryan Lied or Romney has no Plan until they think you convince people that is true. Also, it has been agreed that Romney has paid his taxes (his returns prove it).. 14% of whatever he made is a lot more "redistribution of wealth" than most of us realize. He also contributes a large % of his income to his chosen charities (this is what free markets allow all of us to do - pay taxes for the services we NEED from government(that fabulous infrastructure) and choose for ourselves what unmet needs in our own communities we would like to assist in funding. Has operated for years like this, and Republicans have been proven to be much more charitable than Democrats. I hate to bury this final point so far in my ramblings, but I do have to laugh at Joe Biden's line at the DNC convention, that the Democrats NEVER give up on the American People and what they can accomplish. This statement alone shows you what a misrepresentation of their policies they are trying to sell - if they NEVER give up, why do they believe the government needs to be so involved in our lives? If we Americans can accomplish so much, why do I need to be told what insurance have to carry, how much of my "wealth" needs to be redistribued, etc. Why can't I show government what I can do, as opposed to them managing my life? Are there really people out there who believe that the Democrates have more faith in our individual ingenuity than the Republicans? That MORE government means they believe in you, as opposed to freeing the markets so you can CHOOSE for yourself what you can accomplish? More government means that there will be 2 classes in this country - The politicos who control our money, and the rest of us who have been demoted to a life "equal" to what they deem we should achieve.

Twenty minutes later, they retract, or some member of their staff, retracts everything they just said!!! How can these men be trusted? Where have YOU been living sir or ma'am? Splitt has said all along that he would repeal the ACA in its entirety on his first day in office...AND THEN; just over this past weekend he said he liked certain provisions of that same act. Well, he should; it is the same one implemented in Mass that he passed as Gov. He CLAIMS he donates absorbent amounts of his income to charity...charitable giving is allowed so why doesn't he just show what he paid to his charities? Pres Obama is not hiding his tax filings!

Common sense dictates that Splitt is hiding something that will get him into deep sh!t should it be discovered. That is NOT rocket science! Why does he have so many off-shore accounts if he is dealing fairly with the IRS? He has his money in foreign accounts BECAUSE the IRS cannot investigate or access those accounts under the laws of these other countries and THEN he keeps implying that Pres Obama is the guy who is FOREIGN to the USA! Pres Obama's policies are somehow FOREIGN but he is the one, along with Bain Capital who sold and shipped millions of American jobs to overseas vendors!

Obama has NO PLAN to fix the economy. NONE. Taxing the "wealthy" will only fund the Government for 10 days at our current spend rate. Then... A VAT tax like the have in Europe that raises the cost of everything you buy by 10 to 20 percent!

There are so many loopholes that not even Biden and Obama could cover them up. Or, is this administration covering up all the loopholes to gain votes? Almost four years, we are still bleeding. We need change and fresh ideas.
