Obama seeks to widen support base with Florida seniors, Hispanics

KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Kicking off a two-day Sunshine State barnstorm Saturday, President Barack Obama tapped into key parts of what he hopes will be a winning Florida coalition similar to but larger than the one he assembled in 2008.

At stops in Seminole and Kissimmee, Fla., the president, who won the Sunshine State by just 50.9 percent in 2008, targeted the votes of senior citizens, warning that their Medicare benefits would be harmed by a plan put forward by his Republican opponents Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

“I want you to know, AARP, I would never turn Medicare into a voucher,” Obama said at a civic center here, making an explicit play for members of the 50-and-up club. “I believe no American should ever have to spend their golden years at the mercy of insurance companies.”

Obama lost Florida seniors to John McCain in 2008 but is seeking to do better with them this time around, focusing mainly on appealing to their support of federal entitlements. They’re a lucrative demographic in Florida, having made up 22 percent of the total vote in 2008.

Vice President Joe Biden also brought the “Medicare good, Republicans bad” message to Zanesville, Ohio, where he told a crowd there that Romney and Ryan are “not actually preserving Medicare. They’re for a whole new plan, ‘vouchercare.’"

Pablo Martinez Monsivais / AP

President Barack Obama, left, on stage after being introduced by Viviana Margarita Janer, right, at a campaign event Saturday at the Kissimmee, Fla., Civic Center.

The Romney campaign pushed back on Biden’s attack on Medicare, saying in a statement that Biden “knowingly and deliberately leveled false and discredited attacks.”

Besides seniors, the president also tailored his pitch Saturday to Hispanic voters, who tended to lean Republican in Florida before 57 percent of them voted for Obama in 2008. Introducing him in Kissimmee was Viviana Margarita Janer, a woman who was born in Puerto Rico but has lived in the United States since she was 6 months old.

Janer urged the audience of 3,000 to register to vote, noting that the website gottaregister.com, which Obama frequently hawks on the stump, is also available in Spanish.

“When you put the ‘I voted’ sticker on, you’re going to feel great pride knowing that you gave this man, this great leader, four more years to finish what he started,” she said.

And earlier in Seminole, Obama praised Hispanic voters as part of the patchwork that gave him a win in Florida in 2008.

“I look out on this crowd, I am reminded you were the change,” he said to a crowd of 10,000 at the Seminole campus of St. Petersburg College, noting “folks… from every walk of life -- black, white, Hispanic, Asian, Native American, young, old, gay, straight, abled, disabled,” he said.

The president blazed through friendly territory throughout Saturday, first in Pinellas County, home to Seminole, where he won 54 percent of the vote in 2008. And Osceola County, where Kissimmee is, gave him 60 percent of the vote.

Kissimmee has special resonance for the Obama campaign given Bill Clinton’s post-convention status as Obama has been putting it “Secretary of Explaining Stuff:” Kissimmee was the first place the two campaigned together after Obama bested Clinton’s wife, Hillary, in the 2008 Democratic primaries.

During that Oct. 30 speech, Clinton, perhaps still a bit raw from the bruising primary his wife endured, praised Obama as a good decision-maker in part because he had the good sense to consult the Clintons during the financial crisis.

“He talked to his advisers — he talked to my economic advisers, he called Hillary. He called me,” Clinton said. “You know why? Because he knew it was complicated and before he said anything, he wanted to understand,” Clinton said, four years before he would get a bear hug from the now-president after delivering one of the strongest defenses ever of the latter’s policies.

How about the post-convention "bump" President Obama got!

Highest approval ratings since May 2011...

Meanwhile, coming out of Tampa Willard lost a point!

I see where refusing to answer simple questions, runs in the Willard family!

Some surrogate for women Queen Annie is! lol

Again with the I'm ONLY talk about what I want to talk about routine!

When will they talk about what the country wants to talk about?

"Here in Iowa, as you know, same-sex marriage is legal. Do you believe a lesbian mother should be allowed to marry her partner?" David Nelson, a KWQC anchor asked.

"You know, I'm not going to talk about the specific issues," Romney responded, adding that "hot-button issues" distract from the economy.

Nelson then asked whether employers should be required to provide health insurance that covers birth control. The Romney campaign has attacked the Obama administration for adopting a rule requiring most religiously affiliated employers to provide coverage for contraception in their health plans.

She declined to answer. "Again, you're asking me questions that are not about what this election is going to be about. This election is going to be about the economy and jobs."

Nelson later countered with, "You just told a reporter who was questioning you in Cleveland that you want women to have a secure and stable future. I asked you about marriage and whether lesbian mothers should be allowed to marry. Isn't marriage a part of creating a stable future?"

She didn't take the bait. "You know, again, I'm going to talk to you about the economy and about job creation, and about how my husband is the right person for the right time. This is going to be an election that is very important for women, and we are going to make sure that their economic prosperity is more certain under a President Romney

Riddle me this Queen Ann...how do you separate out family planning from women's financial health and their general well being? It can't be done.

But to be more succinct: if you are going to play surrogate for your husband, your obligation is to answer the questions you are asked. If you can't do that, get off the stage. Mrs. Obama is better able to handle the voter's questions.

Hiya NDD!

Remarkable isn't it, how these two feel they are above having to be accountable to answering uncomfortable questions?

This should be a reminder to all the Grama's in the Sunshine State, their daughters & granddaughters shouldn't have to re-fight the reproductive battles they did in the 60's & 70's!

Get out and VOTE for the President who cares about women!

How can we expect Queen Anne, or any of Romney's other surrogates to answer any questions, when Romney himself won't answer the same questions, just keep offering that same comment over and over, just like the Energizer Bunny. He doesn't HAVE any specific plan to offer for the economy or job creation, other than more of the same failed prescriptions of the past three decades plus of GOP policies...more tax cuts for the rich, more deregulations, and more defense budget...none of which will do a damned thing to reduce either the budget deficits or the national debt. BTW, I loved Obama's "Cold Coming On" comment Thursday night, hehe.

I may not agree with all that Obama has done or tried to do in his first term of office, but he sure is the better choice of ANY of the candidates running, not just the GOP candidate. Hopefully the Libertarian Party's candidates will do nothing but water down the GOP votes come November, which will further aid in the re-election of the current administration.

Now, it is past time for the two of you and all other Newsvine posters to get actively involved in the Popular Amendment Movement at www.faircampaignreform.us and help get the Election/Campaign Finance Reform and Term Limits constitutional amendments passed before the 2014/16 elections. We can't let another campaign season hit us with the same chaos that this one has seen. The billions that the wealthy have given to the Super-PACs, etc. for third party advertising could have put thousands of people back to work with meaningful jobs.

Petition for US Constitutional Amendment For Election Reform

We, the undersigned US citizens, duly registered voters in our respective states/territories, do hereby petition for our state to approve the following amendment to the United States Constitution by the method noted below.

Election Reform:
1. Abolish the Electoral College (Repeal Amendment 12)
2. ONE NATIONAL primary date to be held on the Tuesday eight (8) weeks prior to the General Election day for Congressional offices and for the President. Candidate petitions must be filed with the local/state elections boards 60 days prior to the Primary Election date. Federal election petitions shall be uniform in every state and shall include a “contract with the voters” that spells out clearly what that candidate stands for on all issues that they may have to address in elected office. They shall be held accountable in court for breach of that contract if elected and any/all terms are not met.
3. NO campaigning allowed for any elective federal office more than 60 days prior to the National Primary Date.
4. NO campaign contribution shall be donated to any candidate of more than $200 from an individual or $500 maximum from a family (spouses/children living in the same household.) No donations shall be made to a candidate more than sixty days prior to the primary date. No candidate shall contribute from their own funds more than 60% of the total donations from other private individuals.
5. NO campaign contribution from any PAC, corporation, union, non-profit organization, special interest group, etc. shall be allowed for any elected federal office.
6. NO third party campaigning (separate PAC ads, corporate ads, etc.) for/against any candidate shall be allowed at any time during or before the election season.
7. NO party conventions shall be held to select the presidential candidates. The selection must be done at the ballot box in the primary election.
8. The One Man/One Vote Supreme Court ruling shall be enforced by this Amendment, namely that NO federal candidate selection shall be by any means other than the ballot box on Primary/General Election Dates.
9. National Party Organizations shall NOT raise money for or donate to specific candidates of their party prior to the dates outlined above.
10. PAC’s shall NOT be granted tax-exempt status by the IRS, and any non-profit organization who uses their funding for political purposes shall lose their tax-exempt status.
11. All lobbyists shall be outlawed from influencing Congress at all times.

This amendment shall be approved ONLY by State Constitutional Conventions to be called within 90 days of this petition being submmitted to a state’s Secretary of State. A minimum of 25% of the registered voters in each state shall be required to further this petition to the respective Secretary of State.

Feisty, while I fully expect some of that convention bounce to fade, when Willard was still trailing going into the Democratic Convention, it was pretty much game over. Even Michael Dukakis had a lead after his convention but not Willard. Then the Democrats put the hammer down on Willard. It will take a Gerald Ford-esque stumble by Obama in the debates (remember Poland is not part of the Iron Curtain anyone?) or some unforeseen external event to possibly change this. Even if that happened, Obama's foreign policy chops should carry the day over the two Republican amateurs.

Thanks for asking NDD and Fiesty, I have a real bad head cold, otherwise I'm fine. I will be traveling to NC on Monday for my new job. I hope it has changed, I trust it has changed. It has been a long time since I was there. I told this story once before, but I was there visiting when I was 17 years old, I was walking down the sidewalk in downtown Charlotte, there was an old black man walking toward me and when we got about ten feet apart he stepped off the sidewalk into the street until I passed by, then he stepped back on the sidewalk and continued on his way. I had never experienced anything like that before, it made me feel so creepy that I have never forgotten that moment. I need a better experience this time and I trust I will have one, because that thing I just described is like the only thing I can remember from my visit there many years ago.

The Democratic Party booed and made cat calls at God. And you want us to vote for them?

  • 21 votes
#1.12 - Sat Sep 8, 2012 7:04 PM EDT

It's very simple: the people are realizing that when one party is telling the truth and the other one prides itself of "not letting fact-checkers run their campaign," the choice is very clear. Just look at the conferences: on one end, you have what is probably the most lies per second ever blurted out on a public speech in the history of America, and on the other end, you have a speech that was so great and kicked so much ass that even Ryan and Romney can't help but say good things about the great orator that delivered it. I mean, is there a visible limit to what Clinton can achieve with his charm?

I expect Obama's bump to linger for a while. Statistically, the candidate who was leading the polls before the conventions (in this case, Obama) has had a much better chance of winning; but when the conventions widen the gap this visibly (per Gallup, three percentage points on a seven-day moving average in just two days... wow!), I think it's pretty easy to see who's going to win. And we haven't even gotten to the debates. I don't think I'm going out on a limb when I say that Obama's going to mop the floor with Romney. We know who can talk specifics, we know who can give an inspiring speech, and most importantly, we know who can talk for more than two sustained minutes without embarrassing himself or lying so blatantly his surrogates have to admit their campaign doesn't care about the truth.

The Democratic Party booed and made cat calls at God. And you want us to vote for them?

You know who did that, too? The Founding Fathers. There's this little thing called "separation of Church and State." The Republican Party hates the Constitution and the principles of the Founding Fathers so passionately that they simply refuse to admit that this is a secular nation – and you want us to vote for them?

Yep, the Progressives continue with their "reverse psychology" by saying the opposition "did it" while in the real World, it was the Progessives who "did it" to begin with.

Following pretty much sums up the Progressive idea of the economy:

'Government's Progressive view of the economy could be, summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it.If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it'.

- Ronald Reagan

Funny, "don't let down our guard now".....heck, just let Mr. Obama speak and that alone will "sink" any resurgence effort for re-election.

I wonder which "voter base" will Mr. Obama throw under the ObamaWagon next. He has already taken care of Oprah, Rev. Wright, and the Kennedy family.

Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan have made it pretty clear they have no intention of changing the Medicare plan that currently exists for current seniors. The plan they have offers choice to those under age 55.

Yet, still, the President goes to Florida with the intention of scaring the seniors into voting for him.

He is either: misinformed: His handlers did not explain Romney's idea coherently to him or he chose not to read it.....or

He is so completely out of touch that he has no idea the impact that fabricating, exaggerating or "misspeaking" has on seniors....... or

He just doesn't care as long as he wins re-election.

Whatever side you're on, scaring seniors is dispicable.

For all the political posturing the liberals are doing on this board, they still can't come up with sound enough reasons to re-elect Obama. I realize the liberals are completely enamored by Obama and have some real weak reasons such as the death of OBL, and a claim that Obama saved the auto industry. Two items in 4 years that are not much in the real life benefit of the American people. Sure, the unions benefited from GM not closing their doors temporarily but GM isn't doing very well, even though they still owe the tax payers approximlately 40 billion dollars in loan pay backs. Sure OBL is no longer here to produce any more threats, but is that enough to re-elect Obama?

Let's look on the flip side of that coin... 41 months of unemployment over 8%, $5.3 trillion in additional national debt. How about all the lies, broken promises and many other items that all serve to be negatives for Obama. How can two items, one of them barely treading water be the impedus for re-election? The math doesn't add up. I'm sure all those additional people on food stamps are appreciative, except for those who can't find work. I'd much rather have a job than food stamps. I'd much rather have a job than rely on a broke government to provide my sustinence.

While the liberals all rebuke the republicans, us conservatives rebuke a president that has set the precidence for poverty. The loss of $4000 per household in annual pay does not provide a real voting opportunity for Obama. Only because Obama did not take the bull by the horns and work to show the American people that he really cares about them. It appears as though Obama wasn't really very interested in making sure this country had a budget that worked. A budget that all sides could agree on thereby lacking the leadership skills to get all sides to work together to ensure this countries welfare was priority one.

For as much as the liberals all take up arms against conservatives because we are firmly stanced to see he is replaced, they still can not come up with a defense of the indefensable... Obama's lack of leadership.

For all you idiot Obama Supporters, Google Search "Dreams from my real father", it was a Book Written in 1995 by Barack Obama, he Admits he's a Marxist (Communist) and him and his Father's dream was to Destroy America.

He's doing a good job Destroying America.

Let's see what Obama has done:

Attacked Libya without Congressional Approval.

Signed the NDAA Bill into law allowing the Detention and Assassination of Any US Citizen without trial, a Federal Court blocked it in May but Obama is trying to Get that Unblocked.

Raised the National debt over $6 Trillion in His First 3 Years.

Killed HUNDREDS of Innocent people (Excluding the FEW Terrorists) including three American Citizens in Yemen and Pakistan using Drone strikes (Even more Drone strikes than Bush).

Tried to Ban guns with The UN Even though it's unconstitutional and Obama SWORE to Protect the Constitution.

Obama Claims he Supports Freedom of Speech even though he Hired Staff to Censor his YouTube channel.

He claims he Campaigned in 57 States.

And Mitt Romney is just another idiot who will sell Jobs over seas.

Vote for Gary Johnson.

Who do you think Jesus would vote for,....Al, #1.15

Jesus wasn't into politics and division so much as he was trying to get people to treat each other well. Based on most of the comments on First Read, I'm pretty sure he'd be disgusted and heart broken with both sides here most of the time.

One can never be sure when this question is asked (who would Jesus vote for), if it is a reflection or an intentional slam to believers. For those who turn to the scriptures to affirm their actions in society (and in blogs), one might revisit:

Matthew 6:1-34 and Matthew 7:5 for starters.

That is what the Global Elite use Against us, make us think we have a Choice when we Really don't. In Germany, in the 1920's, the two Major Parties was the Nazi Party and the Communist party of Germany.

Layton,

I've paid into all social programs since I was 14 ... and yes, I expect them to be there when I retire!

Yes, me, too!

I was talking to my mom yesterday and she said she might vote for President Obama because "Governor Romney is going to get rid of her Medicare.... "At first I was bewildered (huh? what?) Then, I was worried--- (She's smarter and more attentive than this --is she losing her ability to reason and look at the facts? If so, will she have to move in with me sooner than I expected? Good Lord!), Then I was furious! Is this the message the President is putting out? Freaking out senior citizens?

I expect them to be there when I retire! :)

My plan as well includes depending on Social Security as a supplement to my investment income since I've paid into this since I was 14, and I was counting on Medicare at 65.

They need to address these issues. They can't make promises they can't keep. Medicare will go broke by 2016 (that's only 4 years away!), and they've pushed by my "full retirement age" once already. All of this puts my plans (but not my mom's) on the path of uncertainty....as well as the plans of many others my age....

So where is that Hope and Change, Obama promised?

Obama is going to bankrupt America, and when there's no money to pay the bills, seniors won't be able to get their checks from the government anymore.

If Obama is reelected people in America are going to go hungry! People are going to die!

And to the Jewish voters, just remember that high ranking Obama advisor John Brennan called Jerusalem "Al Quds", and another official Samantha Power even suggested sending a "mammoth protection force" for the Palestinians AGAINST Israel!

THAT'S MILITARY INTERVENTION AGAINST ISRAEL!

And Obama made her a TOP White House official and member of his National Security team!

Obama is going to bankrupt America. The National debt is 16 Trillion and counting.

He won't be able to send checks to all the seniors and the unemployed if he runs the U.S. economy into the ground, and turns it into Greece!

Just something to think about when you're trying to decide whether you care more about paying for Sandra Fluke's birth control pills, or getting America's debt under control.

Duqu,

The US is a sovereign nation. It cannot go bankrupt. We could default on our debt (which we will not) but we can't go bankrupt.

Japan has a 200% debt to GDP but no one talks about them going bankrupt.

Greece is not a sovereign nation because they are part of the Eurozone much like Ohio is part of the USA.

Yeah, "targets" is a good way to put it.

Both Obama and Romney (and the corporate media) are lying to you when they say the government can't do anything about the high unemployment rate. The truth is they could do things to significantly lower it but they don't because they are allowing corporations to use the high jobless rate to drive down wages and benefits.

Since the 1930's they have known how to greatly stimulate jobs growth, but this entails a redistribution of wealth and power away from the 1% to the 99%, and politicians and the two main political parties are bankrolled by the 1% so they won't do it.

One of the ways is direct job creation by the Federal Government as they did during the New Deal with the WPA etc. but while our current crop of government officials threw trillions of $$ at the people who caused the crash in 2008 and "Great Recession" they say they don't have enough money to do it for millions of americans who were are the recessions victims.

Here's a couple of graphs of the unemployment rate during the 1930's, after WPA and various other works projects were enacted, and by the way that bump upward in the jobless rate around 1936-37 was caused by the FDR administration briefly reversing their policy of social spending and started trying to lower the deficit. They realized their mistake and started spending again and the unemployment numbers went down again.

http://contraryinvesting.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/Unemployment-Rates-During-the-Great-Depression.gif

http://www.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/depression(6).JPG

But we didn't lick the Depression with just the New Deal spending. It took WWII when the government completely took over the economy and we spent even more that the jobless rate went below what it was in 1929 and we came out of the Depression.

Just as It is BS when both Democrats and Republicans say that the government can't do anything about the high unemployment it's also BS that government can't do anything about rising poverty. Here's what they did in the 1960's and the result in graphs just below it:

The War on Poverty is the unofficial name for legislation first introduced by United States President Lyndon B. Johnson during his State of the Union address on January 8, 1964. This legislation was proposed by Johnson in response to a national poverty rate of around nineteen percent. The speech led the United States Congress to pass the Economic Opportunity Act, which established the Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) to administer the local application of federal funds targeted against poverty.

As a part of the Great Society, Johnson believed in expanding the government's role in education and health care as poverty reduction strategies.[1] These policies can also be seen as a continuation of Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal, which ran from 1933 to 1935, and the Four Freedoms of 1941.

The popularity of a war on poverty waned after the 1960s. Deregulation, growing criticism of the welfare state, and an ideological shift to reducing federal aid to impoverished people in the 1980s and 1990s culminated in the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act of 1996, which, as claimed President Bill Clinton, "end[ed] welfare as we know it."…

http://21stcenturywaves.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/pverity.rising.jpg

By the way, that downward trend in the poverty rate during the last half of the Clinton Administration was mostly due to the tech bubble, not from Clinton gutting WELFARE.

The bubble popped in 2000-2001 resulting in the first big recession of the new decade:

The dot-com bubble (also referred to as the Internet bubble and the Information Technology Bubble[1]) was a historic speculative bubble covering roughly 1995–2000 (with a climax on March 10, 2000, with the NASDAQ peaking at 5132.52 in intraday trading before closing at 5048.62) during which stock markets in industrialized nations saw their equity value rise rapidly from growth in the Internet sector and related fields….

The collapse of the bubble took place during 2000-2001….

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dot-com_bubble

Other things that lowered poverty in the 1960's and contributed to rising standard of living for most americans were hold overs from the New Deal and WWII domestic policies like the high tax rate on the top income bracket:

http://media.photobucket.com/image/history%20of%20corporate%20taxes%20as%20a%20percentage%20of%20federal%20revenue/crmac50/fedtaxes1.jpg

This has caused the rich to get a much greater share of national wealth and rising wealth inequality:

Romneys plan is to get Americans working again. He will allow us to become energy independent by allowing us to use the resources we have. He will not lower the taxes of the wealthy but will take away many of their tax loopholes. He will stop the deficit from growing. He will not destroy our military but will keep it strong. Obama has a huge advantage because of the billions of dollars of favorable coverage by the lapdog media which is in the tank for Obama. This accounts for his lead in the polls if they would be honest and report what is really happening in the economy with the lowest percent of workers in 31 years the polls would change dramatically.

This morning I read that two of the three television networks did not once mention the unemployment rate during their coverage of last week's Democrat convention. Not sure how that is possible in an election year when "jobs" and the "economy" are supposedly on center stage ???

And you think the White House is geting "favorable coverage" ??? Are you certain ???

        Personal Information:

        ● His full Name is: Willard Mitt Romney
        ● He was born: March 12, 1947 and is 65 years old.
        ● His Father: George W. Romney, former Governor of the State of Michigan
        ● He was raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan
        ● He has been married to Ann Romney since 1969; they five children.

        Education:

        ● B.A. from Brigham Young University,
        ● J.D. and M.B.A. from Harvard University

        Religion:

        ● Mormon – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

        Working Background:

        ● After high school, he spent 30 months in France as a Mormon missionary.
        ● After attending both Harvard Business and Law Schools simultaneously, he passed the Michigan bar exam.
        ● In 1984, he co-founded Bain Capital a private equity investment firm, one of the largest such firms in the United States .
        ● In 1994, he ran for Senator of Massachusetts and lost to Ted Kennedy.
        ● He was President and CEO of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
        ● In 2002, he was elected Governor of the State of Massachusetts where he eliminated a 1.5 billion deficit.

        Some Interesting Facts about Romney:

        ● Bain Capital, starting with one small office supply store in Massachusetts, turned it into Staples; now over 2,000 stores employing 90,000 people.
        ● Bain Capital also worked to perform the same kinds of business miracles again and again, with companies like Domino’s, Sealy, Brookstone, The Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot, and many others.
        ● He was an unpaid volunteer campaign worker for his dad’s gubernatorial campaign 1 year.
        ● He was an unpaid intern in his Dad’s governor’s office for eight years.
        ● He was an unpaid bishop and stake president of his church for ten years.
        ● He was an unpaid President of the Salt Lake Olympic Committee for three years.
        ● He took no salary and was the unpaid Governor of Massachusetts for four years.
        ● He gave his entire inheritance from his father to charity.

Mitt Romney is one of the wealthiest self-made men in our country, but has given more back to its citizens in terms of money, service and time than most men.

And in 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost 19% of his income.
Just for comparison purposes, Obama gave 1% and Joe Biden gave $300 or .0013%.

        Mitt Romney is Trustworthy:

        ● He will show us his birth certificate
        ● He will show us his high school and college transcripts.
        ● He will show us his social security card.
        ● He will show us his law degree.
        ● He will show us his draft notice.
        ● He will show us his medical records.
        ● He will show us his income tax records.
        ● He will show us he has nothing to hide.

Mitt Romney’s background, experience and trustworthiness show him to be a great leader and an excellent choice for President of the United States.

You may think that Romney may not be the best representative the Republicans could have selected.

Consider this; at least we know what religion he is, and that he won’t desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers or practice fiscal irresponsibility.

I know he has the ability to turn around this financial debacle that the current regime has gotten us into.

We probably won’t like all the things necessary to recover from this debt, but someone with Romney’s background can do it.

But, perhaps on the minus side:

        ● He was never a “Community Organizer”,
        ● He never took drugs or smoked pot,
        ● He never got drunk,
        ● He did not associate with communists or terrorists,
        ● He never attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the US.

I would rather vote for Mitt then Obama who did drugs in his past and plays dirty CHICAGO politics in a dishonest way. Were's Obama's records and how come this President pays$$$$$$$$ to have them sealed!!!!. Come on, Obama you talk a good game, are you man enough to open those secret records of yourself and let your public see.? How can anyone vote for Obama who lies, and is a BS artist.?

We cannot afford 4 more years of Barack Hussein Obama.

larry -- i have been looking here for months waiting for a tangible reason that obama should be reelected. most folks here simply bash romney and ryan.

i will vote for romney because of his clear executive skills that are required to turn this economy around. i will vote for romney because he will enforce the laws of the land as written. i will vote for romney because his ideas for the future are realistic and can be achieved. i will vote for romney because he and ryan have presented ideas for reforms that have merit and should be discussed and negotiated with democrats.

i believe obama has been a huge failure and has done significant damage to the United States. he has done little regarding unemployment as there are fewer people working today than the day he took office. he has added more to the national debt than any other president. he has chosen to allow the senate to go three years without a national budget. he has practiced crony capitalism. he has sold out to the unions -- stimulus and GM. he gave a huge tax break to GM so that union members could get a bonus.

the list goes on. he is the biggest liar, yes even worse than nixon, to ever occupy the white house.

why will you vote for obama?

The purpose of a capital enterprise is to make a profit. The purpose of a government is to provide guidance, support and protection for its citizens. The Chief Executive of our country needs to understand how SPEND resources, not produce a profit. If Romney;s business skills are what you want for this country, should we outsource the Marine Corps to Uganda?

You do realize that it does say promote the general welfare and not provide the general welfare, don't you? Promote does not and never has meant the same as provide.

Promoting the general welfare means that the government needs to get out of the way and let people provide for themselves.

As I see it, the Obama administration has done very little to actually promote the general welfare, but has done a great deal to make it even harder for families to provide for themselves, thus doing everything but promote the general welfare.

I went and watched the 2016 movie today, confirmed what I already knew, Obama is not Presidential material..

About time we took our country back to a Moderate (Romney) and out of extremist (Bush and Obama). The middle class is the ones who makes this country run smoothly, the middle Politicians are the only ones that hold Washington together...

Have to terrify the women out there too. Good thing the majority of Americans actually pay no attention to fact !!! Woman might actually see how "can't a woman make her own co-pay for her contraceptives ?" is turned into "Republicans want to deny women access to contraception". And there they were at the convention last week, all teary eyed and cheering for the new heroine of the adoring liberal masses...Admiral Sandra Fluke ! You know....the lady who was cheered right before the Good Lord got booed by the same audience.

And please....spare me the religious insults...I haven't been to church in thirty years. But seeing the convention crowd booing the Big Guy said a lot more about the type of people in attendence at the Democrat's convention than it said about the Big Guy himself. I'm guessing he chuckled at the whackjobs, saying "Forgive them...they know not what they do".

I can't believe how anybody can look at what went on at the DNC and honestly say they would vote that way. I'm not very religious either but what an insult, not to mention they successfully pissed off the entire middle east in record time. I also get tired of hearing them say Romney don't have a plan when he's briefed it over and over. He is smart enough to see medicare will go broke under the current path but yet people are buying into the bs the lib's are feeding them. All they can do is target the immoral of our society in hopes to get enough votes to stay in power and continue down a path of destruction for another four years.

Even though FactCheck.org has proven it's a lie, I suppose Obama will endlessly repeat the claim that the Ryan/Romney Medicare plan would cost seniors $6,400 a year.

I hope someone will take the time to let the seniors know that Obama is lying to them about it.

shall we look at all of the lies of obama, the President of the United States?

i find it disgusting that mostly all politicians lie -- barry and joe and nancy and harry and dickie and chuckie are simply among the most gifted in this area.

obama is no more than a disgusting chicago lawyer and politician that has proven to be incapable of leading this great country and has only focused on his need to keep a job that he is so clearly ill-equipped to perform.

why do you suppose that michelle would not kiss him on the lips while they were doing all of their higging before one of the most boring acceptance speeches of all time?

Actually it is true if you accept that the Government will provide $6000 a year toward health care insurance and that the cost of the same coverage that is provided by Medicare costs $12,400 a year leaving each senior to come up with the additional $6,400 or purchase an insurance that cost less but doesn’t cover as much or has a much greater copay.

Since we're talking about fact checkers, Kannin, care to address the fact that Romney's statements have been rated south of "half true" 42% of the time, compared with Obama's 26%? Better still, care to address the fact that 9% of Romney's statements are rated "pants on fire" (the most flagrant kind of lie), compared with Obama's 1%?

I don't care what you think about Obama, but if honesty and sincerity are values to appreciate and you are doing your best not to be a hypocrite, then you can't possibly suggest that we vote for Romney.

When obama bowed and kiss the saudi king podex he should been removed from office.

I think you'll be disappointed to know that practically every U.S. president who has met a Saudi king has done exactly the same that Obama did when he met Abdullah. If anyone made it a habit to kiss Abdullah's ass, it was Bush (Jr. and Sr. alike). You do know that we went to the Gulf War because the Saudi monarchs were afraid that Saddam would invade them, don't you?

Dennis - That’s a figure that applied to Ryan’s 2011 budget plan, but his current proposal (the one Romney embraces) is far more generous. The Congressional Budget Office says it “may” lead to higher costs for beneficiaries, but it can’t estimate how much.

Yes, Kannin. PolitiFact. I'm sorry, I forgot to mention it in my original reply. They have been known to devote equal amounts of time analyzing Republicans' and Democrats' statements. I have no reason to believe they go out of their way to make Romney look like a liar. Their analyses are thoroughly explained and readily available for anyone to read and study.

I have no interest in convincing you that Obama is the better candidate. But if you vote for Romney, I want you to be aware that he lies VERY frequently. I want you to vote for him because you genuinely like his platform, not because you believe his lies.

                  Kannin,

Not actually true. His new plan says if you are under 55 you can choose either traditional Medicare or a voucher plan.

What he has not said is how he plans to pay for anyone that chooses the Traditional Plan. What if a large majority chose the Traditional Plan – how will he pay for it?

He also does not say how long that option will be available as a choice.

                  End the Madness

                  From the article above:

"I want you to know, AARP, I would never turn Medicare into a voucher," Obama said at a civic center here, making an explicit play for members of the 50-and-up club. "I believe no American should ever have to spend their golden years at the mercy of insurance companies."

                  Courtesy of GoodReads.com

"No matter how big the lie; repeat it often enough and the masses will regard it as the truth." John F. Kennedy

8 days after the 2008 election, Rush Limbaugh said he wanted President Elect Obama to fail, and thus the mantra for the conservative agenda was set for the next four years. This message was passed out to the stooges to repeat on the airwaves and blogosphere.

                  Rinse, lather, repeat

On Inauguration night in January 20, 2009, Frank Luntz held a private dinner in Washington, DC, with the conservative power-elite (including Congressman Paul Ryan), where he set the strategy for the Tea Party to obstruct President Obama at all costs over the next four years.

                  Rinse, lather, repeat

Mitch McConnell said in October 2010 that "his party's primary goal in the next Congress was to make Obama a one-term President."

                  Rinse, lather, repeat

The Republican National Convention elects Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan as the Tea Party challengers, and they continue to spread lies about the President's record on national television for the entire nation to see.

                  Rinse, lather, repeat

After the Democrat National Convention, the stooges take to the blogosphere again to spread lies about President Obama's record and to discredit a good, decent, hard-working American President whose policies has lifted the nation out of recession.

                  Rinse, lather, repeat

This is what Fox does. This is what conservative talk radio does. This is what the Tea Party does. This is what the Tea Party stooges blog every day. This is the MAIN reason why this country has declined in the last 30 years. John F. Kennedy was right.

                  Rinse, lather, repeat

The stooges efforts day in and day out on the blogosphere have succeeded in making the wealthy – wealthier, the poor – poorer, pitted American vs. American, Blue State vs. Red State, and prevented this Great Country from leading the world into the 21st Century. And it's all because the rich and powerful manipulated them into doing so at the average American tax-payer's expense.

                  Rinse, lather, repeat

In past decades, many great Republicans worked side-by-side with Democrats and Independents to build the middle-class and make American the greatest economic superpower in history. All sides languished in success. Over the past 2 years, the majority of people in this country were punished because the Tea Party Congress refused to compromise.

                  Rinse, lather, repeat

So instead of working with Democrats, the strategy is to tear-down Democrats. The strategy is to demonize, demoralize, and destroy everything Democrats accomplished in the last 75 years; Social Security, Medicare, Obama-Care, Unions, Public Education, Women's Rights, Equal Rights, Civil Rights, Voting Rights, and the collective pursuit of happiness for all
                  Americans.

                  Rinse, lather, repeat

During this election cycle it has become disgustingly obvious that the Tea Party is no different than a third-world radical dictator who bullies and oppresses their own people in order to gain absolute power and to steal more money for their very wealthy masters.

                  Rinse, lather, repeat

The majority of Americans are sick of Fox, Rush Limbaugh, Frank Luntz, the Tea Party Congress, and their stooges who blindly follow un-American policies and lie on a daily basis in order to bring misery and despair to the majority of Americans.

                  Rinse, lather, repeat

After President Obama wins on November 6, 2012, I wonder what Rush Limbaugh will say this time. I wonder what strategy Frank Luntz will implement over the next four years. I wonder what Mitch McConnell's next goal will be.

I wonder when this madness will end.

                  Salud.

And I'll speak for my fellow countrymen. We do understand economics. We understand that cutting taxes on the rich and wealthy and adding more spending to a war is nothing short of stupid. Mitt Romney's "semblance" of a plan wants to take us all back to the days of Ike. Women in the kitchen, a war going on somewhere to help out his defence contract buddies, and cuts for all of his wealthy buddies to buy more gold toilet seats.

Stop projecting that we don't know anything about this country. Why don't you get out there and walk the streets, serve the poor, and donate some time. Maybe after doing so, you might just feel a little bit more like a Democrat. We do that kind of stuff all of the time.

Barack Obama cares about the men and women who serve their country and knows the hardships they and their families go through. Romney could give a sh!t about them. He wants to bloat the defense budget to make his corporate buddies some coin. Deny him the chance.

Wonder if that punka$$ David Gregory will ask him about that on MTP.

Obama will weaken us thus making our enemies more brazen. Clinton had the chance to take out Bin Ladin and flinched. That set up 9-11-01. Hate to see what is in the offing when Obama scales down our military and its superiority. Iran is building its strength and arrogance even now. Newday-- I know you were being sarcastic about loving the "computer warriors".

We both must understand that there is no good that comes from trying to belittle another anonymous person over the internet. But you do point out the "warrior" mentality of many of the posters here. It's silly, don't you think? As if there are real battles that are "won" or "lost".

I like to read reasonable comments from people like yourself, and I must admit that I sometimes enjoy those comments that are slightly off-topic yet humorous, but I get tired of the left/right "slam the other guy" name-calling blah blah blah that predominates here. Ever since my "ignore" button started not to work anymore I have found it less enjoyable to read these comments. I am not that good with computers, but I have discovered that there are other discussion forums out there. Soon as I figure out how to register (I think I might need to set up a facebook page) I'm out of here.

By the way, I always liked the picture of your dog. My dog, which I got as a puppy from the "pound", is growing faster than a weed. Took it to the vet today for its' weigh-in and heartworm pill, and found out that it has added 13 pounds in the last month alone. 11 pounds the month before. Just a giant, loving doofus. He's at 48 pounds now, with probably 8 - 10 months of growth left. Funny thing is, your little dog would scare the daylights out of him and he would hide in the corner!

Layton. You are so showing your ignorance. Even quoting what i said. Romney is a listener. Maybe you should listen to before you make an ass of yourself. Keep thinking that we are not in a cold war. It has only been put in the freezer and is about to go into defrost cycle mode soon. I never said Romney mentioned the military at his acceptance speech. He has more class than your man does, and he does have a high regard for the men, and women in uniform.

COinFL: Thank you for your comment. I understand completely how tired you are of the extreme right and left of the posts these days. I feel much the same myself. In the old days, we used to be able to discuss. Now, it does seem that it is all insults all the time. I can remember, just recently, how surprised I was at having a lengthy (for FR) civil conversation with a right wing poster, Fool's Gold, that I enjoyed immensely, simply because it was a REAL discussion.

**sigh** hope it happens again sometime.

I do admit that I get tired of the daily insults directed to my friend Feisty. She does add a lot of color and interest to FR, but she must put up with a lot of abuse. When I slide over to the dark side, it is generally because I have had enough of it, not that Feisty needs me to defend her.

So I hope you consider staying on, we need reasonable voices here, and yours is one I enjoy reading.

My little dog is a Papillon. Jolie is 10 lbs of divatude and in the picture is demonstrating "watch me" the first thing an obedience dog must become good at. She has a blue merle collie brother, and I will eventually put his pic up and take Jolie's down, which will make her angry! She bosses him unmercifully and he is relentlessly cheerful about it and just smiles at her.

If you do read this, let me know what kind of dog you rescued! He sounds wonderful, and the best dog (don't tell Jolie) we had at the farm was a rescue that we got from the Humane Society. She never put a paw wrong.

But do stay with us COinFl. Bound to get better after the election.

My ignorance??? Really??? I will give you this ... Romney is a listener because the man doesn't care about coming up with a plan! He!! Santa Claus at the mall is a listener as well ... but my kids have never put their faith in him and like Romney, he's nothing but a photo op!

Post me a fact or two little man, until then ... cork it.

Hi New day! My dog appears to be a "cur". Some type of Florida variation of a cur, anyways. When I got it they said it was a beagle-mix, and I thought it would be good to keep the armadillos and rabbits out of the garden. Then, it started growing. Obviously not a beagle.

He caught a rabbit the other day. But he didn't kill it; he just had it pinned under his paws and he was licking it. When I walked toward him he got distracted and the rabbit was able to run away. My dog looked at me like I had just chased one of his friends away. He is just loving to all other animals and people.

That's amazing that you had a civil discussion with Fools Gold. I think I might have put him/her on ignore, but I'm not sure, becase my ignore feature doesn't seem to work anymore.

I agree with the statement that Feisty gets a lot of abuse. That's why I cut her more slack than most when she responds angrily. Plus, she's sometimes got a sense of humor that would even work on a construction site. Love it, but hate the angry.

                  Kannin,

That's interesting. Thanks for the info. I'm still not convinced that they are particularly biased, the same way I don't think Family Guy is especially pro-Republican, despite being aired on FOX. They have a Pulitzer Prize and their impartiality has been corroborated by at least two studies. I frequently read their articles and, to the best of my ability to be objective, I haven't seen a single reason to doubt their impartiality (the way I would MSNBC's, for example). You're free to glance through their assessments of Romney's and Obama's remarks and see if you think they are unbiased. The way I see it, the score is pretty clear. Someone who's rated Pants on Fire (indicative of a lie that's obvious to anyone's eyes) 10% of the time is not a lesser liar than someone who has been given the same rating for only 1% of his statements.

CoinFl: I had to go on line to read what a "cur" is. They sound like a good working dog, you got lucky!

Your dog sounds lovely and kind and good for you for recognizing that and bringing him home.

We still miss our rescue, Kelly. She was so kind, and smart.

My two are obedience dogs, the collie currently working on his certification for therapy work. His quiet good humor makes him perfect for it. His best thing is adjusting his response to the various people that he meets. Excellent with youngsters afraid of dogs.

Kannin, I hope you noticed that Feisty did NOT answer your question. She can't face the fact that her messiah can lie just like all politicians! In fact, Oblameo can't even tell the truth; all he can do is tell more lies and then ask for money, golf tee times, and votes.

Feisty, if you can honestly say that you are better off than you were 4 years ago, I'm happy for you. In the meantime the rest of us will just have to keep waiting for Obama's magic fairy dust to piddle up the rope to us.

I'll start with a couple of (cough cough) lies Romney told:

#1 "Corporations are people too." This was Romney in an effort to defend the ridiculous Supreme Court ruling regarding the amount of money Corporations can pour into campaigns to buy the vote for the benefit of Corporate profits. The problem with this ruling, is that the vast majority of "real, heart-pounding people" cannot afford to contribute much if anything to campaigns to voice their opinions and circumstance they want addressed. It's a fairness and Representation issue. We are supposed to be a government of, by and for the people -- the people are not represented when Corporate Speech drowns out real people speech, only the major shareholders are represented from Romney's world of multiple houses and car elevators.

Every college Business Administration student that took Accounting learned that Corporations are "... entities that have legal rights and liabilities distinct from their shareholders (the actual people). In essence, Corporations are formed to protect shareholders PERSONAL ASSETS from being at risk if the Corporation's management makes bad decisions and ends up in bankruptcy or a costly legal indictment; they are also formed to take advantage of tax loopholes as well as other reasons. A Corporation's major goal is to "Maximize profits." There's nothing inherently wrong with that - I owned a business myself and believe me, I spent all waking hours in an attempt to do just that. But Corporations are not people and never represent the people that work for them (the workers) -- they represent the major shareholders and their Board. These super rich stockholders should not have more representation than the real American people for which our country was formed.

Lie #2: BAIN CREATED JOBS. The easiest and most prevalent way to improve/increase profits is to lay-off, cut, fire, or outsource/relocate the workforce. This is what Romney's BAIN did many many times to companies in order to maximize Bain's profits and to free up millions that BAIN could claim. Good paying jobs that could support families were lost when BAIN implemented their "vulture" management plans.

Regarding the companies in which BAIN did create jobs, we have the low pay (at or near minimum wage) service jobs (Staples and other retail) that college and young people previously held until they could find a "real job." These retail jobs were a stepping stone to a job that would pay a living wage to cover rent, food, healthcare, utility bills, clothes, car, and insurance for a family. Like we had prior to the 1980s. If these are the types of jobs Romney is promising to create for the future of the U.S.A., then we are in huge trouble and we'll have to put our little children to work to make ends meet.

Our country needs to start investing to create the industries with livable wages for our future . . . including for your children's future. We've done it before - after the Great Depression. We know how to do it again. We will not get there with more BAIN retail jobs where families have to work 2-3 jobs to stay afloat.

I thought President Clinton did such a great job of distilling the campaign to its essence when he said: "The Republican argument against the president's reelection was actually pretty simple, pretty snappy.... 'We left him a total mess, he hasn't cleaned it up fast enough, so fire him and put us back in.'"

Queen Ann? She's as out of touch as any other extremely wealthy person. At least she's done charity work for MS. She's not a Real Housewife. Unfortunately, she can't answer questions outside of finance. That's the only area where they have experience. If the Presidency started and ended with managing money, he might be the better choice. He knows how to maintain the bottom line. Personally, I don't what to live in a country ran that way, but, obviously, many do.

Yet you think Michelle is down to earth with her 'let them eat cake' vacations?

At least the Romneys earned and spend their own money. Why can't Michelle? Why does she have to go on her lavish vacations all over the world on the taxpayer dime?

A Republican in a wheelchair entered a restaurant one afternoon and asked the
waitress for a cup of coffee. The Republican looked across the
restaurant and asked, "Is that Jesus sitting over there?"

The waitress nodded "yes," so the Republican requested that she give Jesus a cup of coffee, on him.

The next patron to come in was a Libertarian with a hunched back. He shuffled over to a booth, painfully sat down, and asked the waitress for a cup of hot tea. He also glanced across the restaurant and asked, "Is that Jesus over there?" The waitress nodded, so the Libertarian asked her to give Jesus a cup of hot tea, "My treat."

The third patron to come into the restaurant was a Democrat on crutches.
He hobbled over to a booth, sat down and hollered, "Hey there, honey!
How's about gettin' me a cold glass of Miller Light?" He, too, looked
across the restaurant and asked, "Is that God's boy over there?" The
waitress once more nodded, so the Democrat directed her to give Jesus a
cold glass of beer. "On my bill," he said.

As Jesus got up to leave, he passed by the Republican, touched him and
said, "For your kindness, you are healed." The Republican felt the
strength come back into his legs, got up, and danced a jig out the door.

Jesus also passed by the Libertarian, touched him and said, "For your
kindness, you are healed." The Libertarian felt his back straightening
up, and he raised his hands, praised the Lord and did a series of back
                    flips out the door.

Then Jesus walked towards the Democrat. The Democrat jumped up and yelled, "Don't touch me... I'm collecting disability."

Some of the republicans have been praying about the election but they have asked God to come himself and not send Jesus because they think the help needed is too much for a kid to handle.

If obama is such a great president, why in the world does he have to pander to and lie to people to get their votes? No other successful presidents would ever have been afraid of losing to mitt romney, and certainly no president in history has ever asked for wedding gifts to be forsaken for campaign donations. How god damn sad is that? Our president should have some dignity, this isnt france, have some respect for the office (like clinton did).

Sheesh! Who ISN'T Mitt pissing off these days?

Why in the world would he even DARE to insult the Republican congressional base when his relationship with traditional conservatives is tenuous at best?

I just don't get this guy.

He picks an entirely unnecessary fight with Ron Paul's supporters at the RNC by purposely omitting Dr. Paul's running delegate total. He could just as easily have praised them for fighting the good fight while welcoming them into the fold.

While in Israel, he praises, profusely, the economic benefit of their socialized health care system.

He omits any reference in his acceptance speech to our fighting men and women in Afghanistan, and then doubles down yesterday with a dismissive comment about laundry lists.

He claims three weeks ago to support abortion if it's in the best interest of the health of the mother, only to have his campaign yesterday issue a statement saying that Mr. Romney does NOT support any such exception.

He's had YEARS to establish a consistent record and yet he has not. How, then, can he be trusted with his finger on the button?

TERRY ANDERSON, A BLACK LOS ANGELES TALK RADIO HOST, WENT DOWN A LIST OF THINGS SENATOR OBAMA SAID THAT AREN'T EXACTLY CORRECT.

1.) Selma March Got Me Born - NOT EXACTLY, your parents felt safe enough to have you in 1961 - Selma had no effect on your birth, as Selma was in 1965.
(Google 'Obama Selma ' for his full March 4, 2007 speech and articles about its various untruths.) ! !

2.) Father Was A Goat Herder - NOT EXACTLY, he was a privileged, well educated youth, who went on to work with the Kenyan Government.

3.) Father Was A Proud Freedom Fighter- NOT EXACTLY, he was part of one of the most corrupt and violent governments Kenya has ever had.

4.) My Family Has Strong Ties To African Freedom - NOT EXACTLY; your cousin Raila Odinga has created mass violence in attempting to overturn a legitimate election in 2007, in Kenya . It is the first widespread violence in decades. The current government is pro-American but Odinga wants to overthrow it and establish Muslim Sharia law. Your half-brother, Abongo Oba ma, is Odinga's follower. You interrupted your New Hampshire campaigning to speak to Odinga on the phone. Check out the following link for verification of that....and for more.

Obama's cousin Odinga in Kenya ran for president and tried to get Sharia Muslim law in place there. When Odinga lost the elections, his followers have burned Christians' homes and then burned men, women and children alive in a Christian church where they took shelter... Obama SUPPORTED his cousin before the election process here started. Google Obama and Odinga and see what you get. No one wants to know the truth.

5.) My Grandmother Has Always Been A Christian - NOT EXACTLY, she does her daily Salat prayers at 5am according to her own interviews. Not to mention, Christianity wouldn't allow her to have been one of 14 wives to1 man.

6.) My Name is African Swahili - NOT EXACTLY, your name is Arabic and 'Baraka' (from which Barack came) means 'blessed' in that language. Hussein is also Arabic and so is Obama.

Barack Hussein Obama is not half black. He is the first Arab-American President, not the first black President. Barack Hussein Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother's side and 43.75% Arabic and 6.25% African Negro from his father's side. While Barack Hussein Obama's father was from Kenya , his father's family was mainly Arabs.. Barack Hussein Obama's father was only 12.5% African Negro and 87.5% Arab (his father's birth certificate even states he's Arab, not African Negro). Go to:

8.) My School In Indonesia Was Christian- NOT EXACTLY, you were registered as Muslim there and got in trouble in Koranic Studies for making faces (check your own book).

February 28, 2008. Kristoff from the New York Times: Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it'll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as 'one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.' This is just one example of what Pamela is talking about when she says 'Obama's narrative is being altered, enhanced and manipulated to whitewash troubling facts.'

9.) I Was Fluent In Indonesian - NOT EXACTLY, not one teacher says you could speak the language.

10.) Because I Lived In Indonesia , I Have More Foreign Experience – NOT EXACTLY, you were there from the ages of 6 to 10, and couldn't even speak the language. What did you learn except how to study the Koran and watch cartoons?

12.) I Blame My Early Drug Use On Ethnic Confusion - NOT EXACTLY, you were quite content in high school to be Barry Obama, no mention of Kenya and no mention of struggle to identify - your classmates said you were just fine

13.)An Ebony Article Moved Me To Run For Office - NOT EXACTLY, Ebony has yet to find the article you mention in your book. It doesn't, and never did, exist.

16.) Voting 'Present' is Common In Illinois Senate - NOT EXACTLY, they are common for YOU, but not many others have 130 NO VOTES.

17.) Oops, I Miss-voted - NOT EXACTLY, only when caught by church groups and Democrats, did you beg to change your misvote.

22.) I Wrote A Tough Nuclear Bill - NOT EXACTLY, your bill was rejected by your own party for its pandering and lack of all regulation - mainly because of your Nuclear donor, Exelon, from which David Axelrod came.

25.) My Economics Bill Will Help America- NOT EXACTLY, your 111 economic policies were just combined into a proposal which lost 99-0, and even YOU
                    voted against your own bill.

31.) I Want Americans To Decide - NOT EXACTLY, you prefer caucuses that limit the vote, confuse the voters, force a public vote, and only operate during small windows of time.

32.) I passed 900 Bills in the State Senate- NOT EXACTLY, you passed 26, most of which you didn't write yourself.

Good Laws, Joe! I gave you THREE (3) links that supported Feisty's claims of Romney's lies. That would be a FACT CHECK if you would take two minutes out of your stalking humm to read them!

“I want you to know, AARP, I would never turn Medicare into a voucher

Of course President Obama wouldn't. He won't be around when his "strengthened" Medicare becomes insolvent in 2024. He criticizes Mr. Romney for his voucher proposal, but President Obama has yet to propose anything.

Your buddy Ryans plan would bankrupt it in 2016 :(

What does Mr. Ryan's plan have to do with anything?

Besides, that plan was based on a different study.

Ununited, do you know what the unfunded liabilities in the U.S. are right now? That's right $114 Trillion. Do you really believe Medicare, SS, and Medicaid are anywhere near solvent? If we do nothing about these programs, the country has absolutely no chance.

Since when do repubs care about debt? Cheney said "deficits dont matter". What do you think more tax breaks for the upper crust are going to get this country? Solvent? Not a chance!

Actually, Cheney said his royal majesty, king of kings, lord of lords, glory to the most high, Ronald Reagan PROVED, that deficits don't matter. Paul Ryan must believe him too, because he voted for EVERY deficit causing piece of legislation that W sent down the crack pipe.
