Subscribe to RSSCONCORD, N.H. -- Count GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney among those not planning to tune in for President Obama's nomination acceptance speech tonight.
Romney told reporters today he has not been watching the Democratic convention, and didn't plan to start tonight -- unless the president planned to report on promises made in 2008, rather than conduct what Romney referred to as a "promises reset."

First lady Michelle Obama speaks to NBC's Brian Williams about keeping life balanced for her daughters. She is focused on keeping their lives as normal as possible while allowing them to appreciate their chance to witness history.
"I think this is a time not for him to start restating new promises, but to report on the promises he made. I think he wants a promises reset. We want a report on the promises he made," Romney said after ticking off a list of what he considered to be Obama's broken promises, including tackling the national debt and boosting job creation.
"The president needs to report tonight on his promises, rather than try and reset a whole series of new promises that he also won't be able to keep," he continued.

The unannounced appearance today by Romney at a veteran's event staged by his campaign -- his second semi-public "drop by" in the battleground Granite State -- included Romney briefly addressing vets gathered to phone bank on his campaign bus. He later talked to a pooled group of reporters and took a handful of questions.
In a new TV ad criticizing President Obama, Mitt Romney's campaign appears to be targeting single women voters who may like the president a great deal but are skeptical if he can deliver the type of change that he was talking about. NBC's David Gregory reports.
Among the questions Romney faced: Why did he choose not to mention the war in Afghanistan during his own acceptance speech last week? Romney parried, saying he addressed the issue the day before, to an albeit much smaller audience, at the American Legion national convention in Indianapolis.

And he said the word "Afghanistan" just once in that speech.
Then Romney took a swipe at Obama for not also addressing the group. "The president was also invited to the American legion, and uh, he was too busy to go," Romney said. "It was during my convention. I went to the American Legion, described my views with regards to our military, our commitment to the military -- my commitment to our men and women in uniform."

30 years of destroying the working stiffs standard of living and extracting their wealth wasn't enough for these guys, Bush and his fellow Republicans looted the Treasury of all those Tax Payers dollars and that wasn't enough, now they want the Social Security and Medicare Insurance Trust Funds and they won't stop until we are all slaves until the day we step foot into our graves...
If he didn't watch Obama's speech he should have. Maybe he would have learned something. And if he didn't watch it, how was it he felt qualified to make negative comments regarding it's content?

Romney won't listen to the advice of possibly the greatest President of the last century because some of him might rub off, while Romney will trust the advice of his Neo-Con advisors who preach war, defense spending, and wealth for the rich! Romney trusts the 17 Bush advisors over President Obama, who just got our economy back on stronger footing, with solvent banks, a saved Automotive industry second to none in the world, and a stock market that is higher than ever before! Yes, the jobs are slow to return, but they are returning!
Romney won't listen, because he doesn't live by great truths! His truth is power and wealth. Nothing else matters. He ran Massachusetts into the ground as Governor and left billions of dollars in debt there, while being 47th out of 50 states in job creation! Nothing for Romney to worry about! Romney's total lack of integrity, painted by the pictures of his past and how he achieved his wealth, based on the losses of jobs he gave fellow Americans, while shipping their jobs to foreign lands in slave labor Romney Enterprise Zones, while hiding the profits in off-shore bank accounts, shall be his epitaph. Romney will just run away to his Chateau and tune out the world! No need to listen to the cries he left behind! Romney is the "Greatest" as he stings like a bee and sucks the life out of our nation!
Romney is not an American. He shares no American Dream. He never lived a Middle Class Life. He was pampered with the trappings of wealth. There is nothing wrong with that, except he cannot begin to understand the pain a poor man suffers in Romney's world of prancing horses and personal jets and extravagence.
Ryan/Romney's "Budget" penalizes the poor, kicks the starving children to the curbs, and denies the rights of women to decide not to have children or use contraceptives to prevent them from having to be born into a RomneyWorld! The wealth shifts ever upwards, out of reach of poor Americans with a dream, shattered!
Romney would repeal the new healthcare system instead of fixing what he believes may be wrong with it. That might make him responsible for it. And if there is one thing Romney has learned in his life, it is to run away from all responsibilities as fast as he can, before the results can be blamed on him!
Romney got his wealth, but he refuses to endorse the laws that could give us a chance to succeed, too. He wants to kill the Public School Systems in order to gain wealth from the tens of millions he has invested and invested for his sons, in Charter (for-profit) Schools.
Romney sees a sparkly toy in the White House. He wants it so bad he can taste it. He would refuse to listen to the advice of President Obama, who has lived there and wore the cloak of pain that was given him when Republicans tore our nation down!
Romney wants the White House, and all the Sheldon Adelsons and Koch Brothers, and the Chinese Ministers from China, who anonymously provide funding into the Carl Rove CrossRoads tax-free Super-Pacs, will spend billions to get him there!
Then, because he has no plan, other than that of a Paul Ryan Tea Party economic plan that would tear asunder the basic rights of American Middle Class families to finance more tax relief for the rich and the war machine, like Ronald RayGuns did, Romney will walk away!
Romney will leave it to the Neo-Con advisory team and the Oil Companies and the gun manufacturers, and the Banks, and the Venture capitalists like Grover Norquist to manage, while having them author the laws they want us to pass!
Meanwhile, Potentate Romney will congratulate himself and say, just like George Bush did, "Good Job, Brownie, except he will be congratulating himself, while our nation, just like Massachusetts, is set back decades, while the deficits of unfunded wars Romney will endorse will flourish and people around the world will die, because he will not listen to those who believe in "Peace"!
Romney will not listen to President Obama give his speech on how he believes the United States of American can be anything we want it to be.....
Romney, instead, will be back at one of his favorite chateaus, admiring the work his undocumented groundskeepers have done, while he dreams up his next conquest!
