CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- In a conference call with some of the supporters shut out of his acceptance speech due to weather, President Obama expressed his regret over having to relocate the speech inside. But he urged his supporters to not let the weather concerns get them down and to “roll with it.”
Recommended: Romney camp dismisses Clinton as 'good soldier'
The campaign held the call as a consolation effort for the 65,000 grassroots supporters who lost their “community credentials” to the president’s speech Thursday night after it was relocated from the larger, outdoor Bank of America Stadium to the Time Warner Cable Arena due to projections of inclement weather. “My main message is: We can’t let a little thunder and lightning get us down. We’re going to have to roll with it,” he said.
Tom Daschle shares his thoughts on how the bond between President Barack Obama and Bill Clinton has evolved throughout the years.
The latest hour-by-hour projections by Weather.com show a very strong chance of thunderstorms in Charlotte on Thursday afternoon.
Many of these ticketholders had earned their credentials by volunteering a specific amount of hours. But the president said he and his staff could not fathom putting volunteers and other supporters in harm’s way. “The problem was a safety issue,” he said. “It would have been a problem and we would have had a situation where we were putting you guys at risk. I know it’s disappointing,” he said.

The president also said that he hoped to continue the momentum of the previous two nights of the convention, which he called “unbelievable, citing a few speakers in particula -- his wife Michelle, San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, and former President Bill Clinton. Obama said Clinton, with whom he shared an onstage hug after his speech, “broke down the issues as effectively as anybody.”
The president also used the occasion of the call to plug voter registration efforts in North Carolina, a state whose 15 electoral votes Obama campaign is battling hard to win again in 2012. “North Carolina is Exhibit A of the unbelievable work that’s being done at the grassroots level; you guys are blowing it out when it comes to registering voters,” he said.
With Bill Clinton's anxiously awaited speech out of the way, all eyes now turn to President Barack Obama, who will make the speech that could make or break his re-election. Obama senior advisor Valerie Jarrett discusses.
Republicans have pilloried the Democrats for moving the speech inside, saying the decision was driven not by the weather but by low voter enthusiasm that might have led to empty seats.
But campaign manager Jim Messina pushed back on that notion before the president got on the call, telling the supporters that the evening would have been “standing room only, it would have been an amazing night but safety has to be always the No.1.”

So much ado about the weather!
Thanks First Read for giving us "Up to the hour" weather reports.
What would we do without you giving us the word for word Obama campaign directives?
Uh...actually the weather radar in Charlotte does have some storms in the area.
...but, no, I'm sure that's also some grand conspiracy, right?

Republicans should be embarassed this election season, they aren't even "spinning" anymore, they are just making stuff up.
WCA, are you still crying about the Charlotte weather report? Better stock up on tissue now because Willard will get his ass handed to him come November!
No noid, as I said yesterday. Who gives a damn if he moves the speech inside or what his crowd size is? For that matter who cares what any politicians crowd size is?
I find it funny that MSNBC finds it necessary to carry the Administrations water on this one. Why so many damned explanations about the weather? If there was going to be lightening don't have it outside. I don't golf when the siren sounds and I sure as hell wouldn't sit in a stadium either.
It really doesn't matter.
Beverly - I believe the "roll with it" sentiment is starkly different than yesterday when the righties said the weather was going to be fine and Obama just couldn't fill the stadium. Hmmmmm - how did that change so much - oh wait - a Romney supporter, just like him. Flip flop!!!!
I predict a stormy two months ahead - for Romney/Ryan!

In the country that I come from, the leaders bus people from all over and give them free lunch. This is done to make it look like every on will vote him. I guess this time around Obama could not find 73,000 to fill the stadium.
What happen to the Rock Star of yesterday. I guess you can't fool all the people all the time.

Remember I said yesterday they would have their lyin a**es on here today complaining and collapsing posts about the DNC which they said they wouldn't watch? They are all a bunch of lyin , ignorant, hypocrites!!!

Well Concern, I can only assume that the country that you are from doesn't have the Tee Vee.
Here in America we have such unfettered 24/7 access to these guys, I can't for the life of me understand why someone would take time out of their day to go see them. They give the same damn speech over and over.
Too funny. So much for yesterday's conspiracy theory du jour.
Aren't you even the least embarrassed at your party's continuous irrational, frenzied behavior?
And don't you wish it would stop?
Hey Bev, how many Republicans have you called a Nazi today?
WCA, I was almost going to vote that one up just because of the Tee Vee comment but then you rolled right into an insult.
Concern, again, the venue was OUTDOORS. And if all you WRNJs can chat about today is the WEATHER and a VENUE - looks like Bill's speech last night has you all running around in circles chasing your tails!
Sorry AM, that must be a pretty high horse you sit on.
Why don't you and the rest of your uninformed buds get down from those perches and go see what I said about the weather yesterday?
Well they don't need no stinking fact checking! But that socialist, muslim, fascist Kenyan does.
... to lie about evrything instead of running on their own record.
Bill killed last night! He hit so many out of the park it was insane! I love it! Our leaders found their spines and have been sticking it to the GOTP for the last two months.
Keep up the pressure their about to "fold like a wet taco".

You mean like that mining company that made it mandatory that all of their employees attend a rally for Willard, then docked them a days pay?
Your guy is getting his clock cleaned and all you can do is tsalk about the weather. What next, the score of last night's Cowboys Giants game?
Well, based on the comments here, apparently to opponents of the President, it does matter.
Yeah noid, apparently it does. I happen to disagree with them.
So WCA is sniveling because the President showed some consideration for his constituency? How dare President Obama move an event indoors to keep the event from being rained out!
Sometimes all you can say is, damn.
Barry's good at apologizing.......................
During a thunderstorm in a stadium, rain is the least of your worries...look at the Rangers' game a month or so ago, for example.
Excuse me Beverly but two whole strings were "deleted" not collapsed by your side on a story yesterday. Your bitchin is falling on deaf ears. Go find someone who gives a sh!t.
Jesus, Sailcat, can you even read?
AM
Aren't you even the least embarrassed at your party's continuous irrational, frenzied behavior?
Are you talking about the Cluster bleep that was the Democratic Platform voting yesterday? Yes, I would be embarrassed, but the Dems aren't my Party.
I guess Obama was right and the Romney campaign was wrong, yet one more time.
Yeah, Bennie boy they were deleted and they were yours. Again, the garbage you posted yesterday was disgusting.
No rain in Charlotte? Really?
...because both weather.com and accuweather.com are saying that it's raining in Charlotte right now.

The far righties suggestions that President Obama couldn't fill the stadium would be laughable if it didn't show how totally desperate they are for anything to post against this President - even though it's all lies. To them, the concept of a candidate drawing that size crowd I suppose is unbelievable - considering Romney can't fill the infield! Too bad they've chosen such losers. Too bad they ARE such losers!
Contemptible - since it's raining right now and they have thunderstorms in the forecast for tonight in Charlotte, don't ya feel just a little stupid? No, of course you don't - you don't have the sense to be embarrassed that you've made a fool of yourself. Plus, you're deliberately lying!
Obama/Biden 2012
Hey Noid, Yep it is raining on the south end right now. Pouring in a couple spots.
Next update at 5
Sailcat-2064101
There ya go, intellectual Powerhouse. What an idiot. I believe WCA said he didnt care but you being oh so smart just didnt even bother reading that. Apparently you thought it wasn't necessary. Back to theory and no solutions Schoonerpuss
WCA -
I think the fact that Republicans accepted their platform with it's extremist views on Abortion a far greater cause for embarrasment than the Dems arguing about whether to include God or Jerusalem.
Neither "God" or "Jerusalem" have the daily impact on our lives that the Republican position on Abortion would.
WCA's very first comment included this little line, Caesar: "Thanks First Read for giving us "Up to the hour" weather reports."
If he doesn't care about the weather, why is he sniveling about it? And why are you making a public jackass our of yourself? I guess the answer to the second question is obvious: you can't help yourself.
Fail again, little man.
Obama told the disappointed revelers that even though he had the power to lower the seas, he's a little off tonight and couldn't muster the magic to part the clouds.
because he said so but was merely pointing out FR's attention to the weather. READ, try it sometime even quoting WCA it clearly states that.
no dummy thats your Golden Idol not mine
Yes, Brianb Obama lowering the seas is as much of a fantasy as Romney's tax plan.
BrianB-
Maybe he should have borrowed some of that "magic dust" Romney and Ryan would have to use to make their budget plans actually add up.
Or he could have just called Romney and asked him what the weather would be like. That "well-oiled weathervane" always knows which way the wind is blowing.....
Paul Ryan - The Deficit? I Built That!
Key is afternoon. Sun shining now southwest side.
...but wouldn't there be people in the stadium this afternoon working to prepare the stadium for tonight's events?
...and wouldn't delegates start gathering in and around the stadium this afternoon ?
...or do you think everything and everyone just gets transported in like it's Star Trek?
OK, I give up - you Republican posters are correct.
I admit the fact that President Obama and the entire Democratic Party are poor meteorologists.
You sound like my son after they canceled his camping trip due to the possibility of lightning- "but Dad, it's not even raining, how could I get struck by lightning..."
I am glad the GROWNUPS decided to err on the side of caution and move it indoors instead of risking what could be a tragedy on a personal and political level.
I also freely Republicans are much better at playing politics with people's lives.......
No, it's readily apparent you've modeled your life after the golden ass.
Don't be surprised if the Jewish vote is gone. Regardless of apologies from both Obama and Motor Mouth Wasserman-Shultz, there's a lot of damage. Everyone with a 5th grade education knows it was what he wanted and probably was shocked when his own party turned against him. Goody!!!!
They would have gotten wet at best. I didn't know the whole day was planned at the stadium. And, I'll bet they are there anyway taking down what prep they did get done until yesterday.
Grown up LOL. do you libs always hide behind your cowardice?
For the record I could care less where the DNC is, indoors, outdoors as well as the attendance.
Da Noid - and don't they just "beam them back home" afterward????
Obama/Biden 2012
Here you are WCA!
Why is it when you get bitch slapped like you did on the previous thread you slither off and hide like a spineless coward?
On another note and off topic;
Drew Peterson has just been found guilty of murdering his 3rd wife!
Prosecutors are now going to try him for his 4th wifes Stacy's disappearance!
About time those two ladies got some justice!
Feisty - they found him guilty???? I was soooo afraid - when the verdict came back this quickly - that he would be found not guilty! Yay!!!! At least there is a little justice for him - not enough - but a little!
Uh, yeah...formal floor proceedings scheduled for 4:30.
Think of it this way...it's a mile by car from Time Warner Cable Arena (the indoor venue) to Bank of America Stadium (the outdoor venue). How ridiculous would it be to have delegates at the indoor venue to start the day and then shuffle all of them along with thousands of others who were not at the indoor venue, from one place to the other for one speech by the President?
As for workers at Bank of America Stadium, perhaps the decision was made yesterday to have the President speak indoors so that workers could tear down yesterday and not have to work outside today. Did you think of that?
Well well, the radar in Charlotte shows red cells and rain....
Surely this is an Obama conspiracy...
=p

Willard Romney cares enough to make up a lie regarding the size of the crowd that would have shown up if it hadn't been cancelled.
“We’re not going to let our campaign be dictated by fact-checkers.”
I guess someone should explain to Romney the definition of fact-check!

I'm done Noid. I see even keeping you abreast of the situation is a worthless proposition. Guess I have to go back to laughing at your full metal jacket liberalism.
Oh but thanks for letting me know about the 4:30 thing. Didn't know that.
It has rained every day for the last 6 of 7 days. They would have torn down tomorrow theoretically.
See ya later in another thread. Guess attempted civility really doesn't work with the Libs-R-Us crowd.
Sailcat-2064101
I guess the righties should be just as outraged that the RNC was shortened by 1 day due to - as Little Ceasar pointed out yesterday - Category 1 storm.
apparently you do because when I said God loves Dems more for giving them a little rain as compared to giving Repubs Hurricane Isaac, you quickly corrected me that it was "only" a cat1 storm. I guess all those who lost everything because of Isaac should stop their whining, huh Ceasar? After all, it was just a "small" storm.
Eric said: Yes, Brianb Obama lowering the seas is as much of a fantasy as Romney's tax plan.
TNSEVOL said: Maybe he should have borrowed some of that "magic dust" Romney and Ryan would have to use to make their budget plans actually add up.
You both seem to think that Romney fantasized about holding some sort of magic... while I realize you have nothing better to offer, Obama did say he was going to lower the seas... You can spin your opinions all you want, but you can't change what was said by your master in chief.
The majority of Americans are not political junkies and...well...football IS football.
Had Jesus' "Sermon on the Mount" been up against last night's game it wouldn't surprise me if Jesus lost in the TV ratings.
another lib with poor reading comp. read it again, XABIE said that LOL, I was mocking him.
Ok how do you put it? "Im sorry Caesar for being a liar"
grow up, i never implied that, never would. quit putting words in my mouth and learn to read
Wow...and here I thought we were actually having a decent conversation. Too bad.
ksw62118
Have you ever seen Jay Leno's jaywalking? Most cannot even name the three branches of government so why the surprise? 38% of Americans would fail the U.S. Citizenship Test that's required to become a US citizen. 40% would not even be able to define the Bill of Rights.
BTW, Nielsen Co. said 26.2M watched DNC 's first night, whereas 22.3M watch the RNC's first night so what do you say about THAT!
Republicans have somewhat of a reputation for leaving people stranded in horrible weather.
Look what Republicans did to all those folks in Louisianna during Katrina!
So yeah, it makes sense that Republicans would complain about pulling Democratic supporters indoors and out of the way of a hurricane in North Carolina.
Obama/Biden 2012
I did too until you started pulling that holier than thou "did you think of that" stuff. Demeaning to say the least. And if it wasn't intended to be I apologize for thinking so. That's the problem with writing. You just can't show inflection properly.

more idiots on the left than the right
Excuse me AG but that was the fault of the DEMOCRAT governor and mayor. They did not follow protocol in asking for federal aid prior to (and until days after) the hurricane.
And one hell of a difference in rain and a hurricane. Nice spin though. It's early I'm sure you will get better as the night goes on.
Brianb - stop. You just look desperate and foolish!
Obama/Biden 2012
hey Little Ceasar, he wasn't even part of the conversation. He did not even post prior or during the conversation so I will give you a hint: when you refer to someone else's words make it clear by quoting them or refering to a specific post - other than that THEY BECOME YOUR WORDS. Reading comprehension does not come from being psychic. Reading comprehension is defined as the level of understanding of a message. This understanding comes from the interaction between the words that are written and how they trigger knowledge outside the message.

Probably because most folks know that it wouldn't make any sense to vote for ANY Republican, including other Republicans.
The worse thing anybody could do right now is to vote for a JOBS CREMATOR, Mitt Robme, who made his millions stealing American workers' pension plans and retirement money, liquidating businesses and shipping American Jobs Overseas, and came in 47th in job creation when he was governor.
For the past 3-1/2 years we've been thinking treasonous it is that Republicans just didn't want to help the President to create jobs, but it finally dawned on me that Republicans DON'T KNOW HOW to handle this economy, and I have yet to see a Republican who knows how to create millions of jobs, NOT just one or two.
Obama/Biden 2012
i referenced him in the original conversation. He made light of it while the RNC had to put it off for a day. So i pointed out that Xabie was downplaying it during RNC. Quit giving yourside a free pass for being heartless.
kind of off your topic but speaking of ownership is that like Obama owning the economy? You know it became his when he got the job, like the unemployment, high debt (he accelerated)? Or is only ok if good things happen like say Bin Laden?
Better yet why dont you fetch that convo yesterday and paste it.
what about man made disasters like BP? that was the repubs fault huh? what about all the industry (fishing, shrimping) shut down and devasted by that. Where was Obama (9 days later)?
There simply weren't enough busses available to bring in the crowd necessary to fill the stadium.
I will be so glad when the actual debates start between the candidates. It is really getting tiring watching the Repubs and Teapeople putting down the democrats and vice versa. I believe there are lies and bull@!$%# coming from all of the campaign committees and am just getting pissed that having to listen or watch this since it is about all there is in the news. The other legislative bodies are also neck deep in this instead of doing the jobs they are paid to do. Romney and taxes. Obama with his school records and incomplete programs.
How about just picking some average citizens off the street, kicking out the lobbyists, give each person a complete history and economics course, and paying them a correct wage without all of the fancy pensions and medical care for life. Start a lottery that only business owners and employed people can toss their numbers into the hat. Not the mega-rich CEO's or COO's either. The nation would probably come out better.
I do not know if that would be better, but it could not be much worse. In my opinion.

I found the most effective Romney ad on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
It's about as effective as the attacks on Clinton's speech last night.
:-)
Let's do! The GOTP has slid so far to the right Eisenhower wouldn't be able too see them.
And, the Democrats have slid so far to the left, they are extremists.
Mr. President, you don't have to apologize...
indoors is better than outdoors -
you don't want to see an outdoor hockey mom with her lipsticks.
I love it. I love the way you liberals seem so sure that you know what will happen on Nov 6. You are totally disregarding anyone of a different ideology than liberalism. Now I do realize that your egos cause the necessary bravado, but the real interesting part is that you will not let anything permeate your brains other than what you think is the only political posture this country knows.
Your arrogance will do you in. Your perceived victories, as they fall apart will cause you tremendous pain... and I'm not sure your families will be able to take all the violence that you will spread because of your disappointments.
Given the choice of looking like a foo and blaming the weather 48 hours in advance or looking like a fool speaking at a nearly empty venue, I'd choose the the weather excuse too. Good thing Obama doesn't run MLB or any other sport. They'd never get their season in.
It is odd how obama goes around the world bowing to dictators and apologizing that America is the Greatest Country in the world....Why won't he apologize to WE the PEOPLE for looting the Treasury and wrecking the economy??!!!
The Republicans did it during a Hurricane but the Democrats cannot handle a little rain?
They only needed the small space, they could not pay enough people to fill up a stadium.
Ha ha ha ha ha.
Iamnotyou .... (and thank God I am not you!) ....
I know it's difficult but I'll spell this one out for you ... the venue was outdoors ....and as usual the President and staff were thinking of the PEOPLE and their SAFETY. I am sure many would have endured the elements to hear the President speak.
Nice attempt but a total strike out.

Hey Layton - Do we have to take the word of God out again or do we have to vote on the floor. Wow that sure caused a roar yesterday.
No it is not because of the rain that they are changing the venue, it is because they do not want to be embarrassed by not occupying the entire stadium. Give me a brake, and stop with the excuses.

Only half way down the first page, and already the uber left has posted countless comments about Obama's "goodness" in thinking of only of his constituents by moving his speech indoors.
Give me a freakin break. Everyone outside of this coven has already said Obama couldn't fill the stadium no matter how many bus rides he arranged, and the weather conveniently cooperated.
Indoors or out, the attendees are going to get showered on.
Instead of mother nature's rainfall, it's just going to be Obama's BS.
commonamerican - Everyone outside of this coven has already said Obama couldn't fill the stadium no matter how many bus rides he arranged, and the weather conveniently cooperated. No everyone who knows said the stadium was filled and more than 19,000 people couldn't get tickets to attend. I realize you don't understand the meaning of that. It means there were 19,000 more people than there were seats. See? I understand that YOU don't understand. It is far beyond your intelligence level.

$10,000 of Mitt Romney's money says President Obama will return to Charlotte to make it up to those 65,000 ticket holders and the 19,000 on the wait list. It might not be quite the same as a nomination acceptance speech but having had the experience of hearing him speak live and shaking both Mrs. Obama and his hand, it's darn close.
The "can't fill the stadium" myth is so funny to me, Jody. If he did fill the stadium, that would have been derided as "rock star" behavior. What would be so wrong with the GOP saying nothing or saying, good to see that the Democrats are looking out for safety; hope everyone has a safe trip home from the convention. They come across as mean-spirited.
These republicans don't care about anyone's safety. It's sad that the radical right hopes are for a failure of our Nation. They are just plain anti American.

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Reuters) - So far, U.S. President Barack Obama has not received much of a bounce yet in popular support from the Democratic National Convention, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found on Thursday.
The latest daily tracking poll found Republican Mitt Romney still clinging to a narrow lead of 45 percent to Obama's 44 percent among likely voters. Romney had led by 46 percent to 44 percent in Wednesday's poll.
"We're not seeing a sort of glimmer, at this point, of a bump," said Ipsos pollster Julia Clark.
The online survey included questions to voters on Wednesday before former President Bill Clinton's well-received speech on the convention floor, so Clinton's influence has not yet been taken into account.
Obama's wife, Michelle Obama, delivered an electrifying speech on Tuesday, and those polled for the Thursday poll would have had the chance to have heard her.
Obama addresses the convention on Thursday night.
Clark said Obama could get a delayed bounce. Romney began his Tampa convention last week behind Obama, 46 percent to 42 percent, before taking a small lead.
"I do think we probably will see a small bump still. Maybe we won't start seeing it until Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I think it will be very modest," Clark said.
The findings are from an Ipsos poll conducted for Reuters from September 2-6. For the survey, a sample of 1,623 American registered voters was interviewed online.
The precision of the Reuters/Ipsos online polls is measured using a credibility interval. In this case, the poll has a credibility interval of plus or minus 2.8 percentage points for all respondents.
While conventions normally produce a tick up in support for candidates, this year seems different with many Americans having already divided into opposing sides.
Clark said Obama needs to lay out a plan for economic recovery in order to appeal to independent voters who may decide who wins the November 6 election, and needs to convince disaffected voters who voted for him last time to vote for him and not stay at home on Election Day.
"This election will be a ‘game of inches' and turnout will play a major factor in determining a winner," she said.
For Romney, Thursday's poll was good news. He is holding steady so far despite rampant criticism of him at the convention.
"He's treading water but that's not a bad place for him to be right now," said Clark.
In 2008, Republican candidate John McCain got a bump of about 6 percentage points after his convention in part because he announced his choice of Sarah Palin as his vice presidential candidate just days before the gathering, bolstering enthusiasm for the ticket. Romney announced running mate Paul Ryan three weeks before the convention.
It looks like the bounce is as followers with the Final Convention this evening,
The newest research from Nate has it as the NOV 6 factors:
“Obama chance of winning 76.3% Romney 23.7%”
“Projected Winner Obama 311.2”
“Projected Loser Romney 226.8”

Uh, well, if you read YOUR OWN POST it clearly says:
So Romney got (at most) a temporary two-point bounce (within the margin of error) from his convention, and you are using a poll taken before Clinton's speech and before President Obama's speech as proof that Obama didn't get a bounce?
So basically you are just making stuff up?
Paul Ryan - The Deficit? I Built That!
Contemptible - running the same post over and over again doesn't make you look smart - just desperate - as all of you on the right are!
President Obama will hold the lead on likeability and will add leadership after the convention speech tonight. And, no one votes for a candidate they don't like!

contemptme,
It would seem that all the pundits and their opinions may be meaningless. Remember Bill Clinton was having problems explaining the bimbos, people didn't like him because of that but he got reelected. Why? Because he was doing a great job.
Obama is better liked than any of those running in this election and, as Clinton pointed out, has done a good job.
Obama needs to be a better salesman than he has been. While he's done good he hasn't said much about it. Maybe the guy is modest but politicians can't afford to be modest.
Lots of people have OPINIONS. After all opinions are like navels, everybody has one. Some are innies and some are outies but that doesen't mean innies are better than outies or outies are better than innies. They are what they are.
As a sociopath, Romney will say and do whatever it takes to get what he wants. I just hope he doesn't do something rash after he loses.

Reported theft of Romney tax records being probed
Wednesday, September 5, 2012
An anonymous letter sent to Romney's accounting firm and political offices in Tennessee and published online sought $1 million in hard-to-trace Internet currency to prevent the disclosure of his tax filings, which have emerged as a key focus during the 2012 presidential race
The group threatened to divulge the tax files by late September unless it was paid $1 million.

I guess I will have to watch tonight again and then the debates will start.
You'd think someone frequenting the Miami cocaine snorting crowd would be better at cutting and pasting. This resembles the scattered stash after a giant sneeze.
The insult 'comemierda' is one word, not two like you so eloquently stated.
Ah - I see the Miami Midnight dancer mopped up that 5-page cut-paste job, not once, but twice. Must be flying higher than a kite.
I am waiting for the two-hour special where Mitt Romney debates himself on Abortion, Gun Control, Healthcare, Taxes, Minimum Wage, Gay Rights, Stem Cell Research, Coal, Global Warming, the legacy of Ronald Reagan, and whether or not he was working at Bain after 1999....
Paul Ryan - The Deficit? I Built That!

I accept your apology Xabie but i would recommend stop with the pseudo intellect on language structure. I doubt if English is your primary language you've mastered that.
Seriously - criticizing a mastery of English language structure - now that is hysterical. Will your encore be a claim you were building an ironic sentence?
Good one Caesar Augustus.
Xabie - as you call him doe not know Spanish either. The word come mierda comes from come "eat"
mierda "sheet" and they are two separate words, unless he comes from Puerto Rico were they do not drag the "R" and carro sounds of to them as "callo".
Reddevil - please try to get it right this time, my sister is the one from Miami. Lot's of vote for Romney over there.
i never said i was a master of the English language dumazz.
I doubt if English is your primary language, you've mastered that.
I admit on the blog i am lazy with the punctuation and spelling and structure. But check your own pig pen before trying to punk me. I know you libs all have a uber degrees but please, more often than not you look like idiots.
Great speech last night by Bill Clinton, the Republicans dont like it cause they seem to have trouble with Math and common sense!
Obama/Biden 2012
It is ironic though. When was the last time you heard of an outdoor football game being cancelled because of a little rain or snow?
How about lightning?
How about cats and dogs, and tsunamis, and huricanes, and tornadoes, and volcanoes, and earth quakes, and mud slides, etc.?
Is this how pathetic the Obama Admin Considers people to be that a little rain might hurt them?
When was the last time you heard of someon being struck by Lightning at an outdoor stadium?
Can the Obama admin come up with any lamer excuse? Nw they blame teh Weather. "Its the Weathors fault we have to move."
Would you like to ask NASCAR fans?
Xabre - you can't contend with the stupidity of David Noah or Contemptible. They are beyond hope and reason.
As to the question of lightening strikes - you might want to ask a few golfers...
Obama/Biden 2012
At the Rangers' game about a month ago, there was a strike right outside the stadium. Both teams went running to the dugouts. I don't know why though, according to David Noah they would have nothing to fear, since lightning wouldn't dare strike inside the stadium.
Xabre - played in a fundraiser with a golf pro a couple of months back. The sky was overcast. He told me to just follow whatever he did. Said he was on the bad end of a lightening strike a few months earlier and it had knocked him to the ground. Told me he would be the first off the course if it looked too bad.
Maybe we should sit Romney/Ryan in the stadium tonight just to prove how safe it is?
Obama/Biden 2012
Maybe Their afraid God might Punish them and strike them down with Lightning after Booing him Last night?
I'm shocked that any of you have the courage to step outside your house.
Xabre...I remember watching the video of that. Crazy thing is, it wasn't even raining. No warning at all...there was a flash and an immediate boom. You really can't be too careful when it comes to that sort of thing. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but that storm at Pocono after the NASCAR race resulted in death and some injuries.
There shouldn't be any severe storms there in Charlotte tonight, but you don't need a severe storm for lightning. Just a run of the mill thunderstorm will do the trick.
Like I said yesterday, Florida and the Southeast in summertime are begging for weather related issues. The planners of future GOP and Dem conventions need to keep that in mind.
Happy Thursday all!
For those wondering what Xabre is talking about:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPYxJeH3jqM
David Noah,
When was the last time you attended one? Did you notice there is a waiver on the ticket declaring that the stadium is NOT responsible for any incidents due to inclement weather? Prudence wins in this case. Who do you think would be holding the liability if there was any kind of injury? Talk about STUPID talking points today from the Right!
And being the Country music fan that I am ... Sugarland just finished paying out for their stage collapsing at the Indiana State Fair.
Hey, Noah, when you learn what grammar is and the difference between a football game and a political event, maybe then you can post like you have a clue what you are talking about (it might also help to learn what honesty is). Talk about grasping at straws.
Actually I like to come in here and make comments so that everyone on the left has the opportunity to display their superior intellect, compassion, tolerance, understanding, respect, forgiveness, etc. of others.
I'm glad to see you all didn't miss the opportunity to demonstrate what the progressives/Liberals are really all about.
You never disappoint:)
Yeah, you run with that.
THERE IS NO BAD WEATHER, CHECK IT OUT!!! Bill Clinton was a joke. You are only fooling the stupid democrats. We Independents are on to you both!!!
You are as much of an independent as Paul Ryan is a "fiscal hawk" and a sub-3 hour marathon runner......
Paul Ryan - The Deficit? I Built That!
DesertKing - you're an a**hole. It is now raining and they predict thunderstorms! Are you having trouble spelling C H A R L O T T E????
And YOU are NO Independent - you redneck Republican!
Obama/Biden 2012
All kidding aside we are another day closer to electing a better President. Obama's policies have produced more people living in poverty. Increasing Government entitlements has never been effective in curbing the spread of poverty in any country in the history of man kind. The sooner we get Obama out of office the better off everyone in this country will be. ROMNEY/RYAN 2012!
UAW -
Your spell checker might be working, but your fact-checker obviously is not. Your post had a few (ok, several) "factual inaccuracies".
There, I corrected it for you - it is now factually accurate.
Paul Ryan - The Deficit? I Built That!
Seriously TN. Even if Obama got re-elected what is he going to do different after 2012 to get congress to work with him? It was nice to hear Bill Clinton tout his ability to work with Republicans in the '90's but frankly Obama is NO Bill Clinton.....
Oh really? Let's review. The 2nd largest economic crash in modern America, under the Bush administration, causing millions to lose their jobs, and this fruitcake would have us believe it is Obama's policies that caused more people to live in poverty. Policies under a Republican administration that caused a decade of declining income, and the nut job would have us believe it is Obama's policies.
You had better go back to the drawing board to scheme up some new cause and effect scenarios. Yours are an epic fail.
Since adopting Republican ideas didn't work for the President, perhaps the question should be, "What are Congressional Republicans going to do differently after 2012 to work with the President?"
UAW -
I am hopeful that after this election is over Republicans may drop some of their blatant obstructionist tactics since Obama is not running again. Obama may be open to another attempt at compromise in an attempt to improve his legacy.
I am even hopeful that Republicans may admit that the ACA is law and work together to make it better.
Historically, major legisation gets enacted more easily in a second term. I also feel the economy will continue to improve even if no legislation is passed as we continue to climb out of the recesion.
That does make sense TN. Thanks for your ideas and I will take them to heart. But alot of voters fear what kind of damage Obama could do if he didnt have to worry about re-election. There is no doubt alot needs to be fixed in healthdare reform. It is also true the economy did continue to get better even with the grid lock since 2010. Maybe our futures really arent dependent on who holds office?
eye2eye: yeah, common sense, like spending $5 trillion more than we take in in just 3.5 years then owing interest on it. This site is commical. Commen sense, like requesting other people to pay for your contraception as though its some friggin right. Or lying on your resume to claim you are Cherokee in order to boost your chances at attending school.
Mr. Obama,
So it has nothing to do with the fact that there were tickets unsold and that most the upper deck would have been empty? Haha the mojo from 2008 is out and websites like this (and ABC, CNN, etc.) can keep blowing smoke up your butts (Feisty Redhead) not wanting you to get worried, but this election will be closer than you think.
Bob -
All the tickets were "unsold", they were given away.......65,000 tickets and a 19,000 waiting list.
I know how hard you Romney/Ryan folks struggle with math, but that means there were more than enough people to fill all the seats.
I agree that the election will be close, but I believe Truth Will Prevail!
Obama 2012
TNSEVOL - isn't it amazing the lies the righties like Bob-27..... will tell? How totally pathetic is your candidate when you have to make up lies????
Obama/Biden 2012
Gasoline at $4.00 per gallon, $16 TRILLION in debt, unemployment at a real 17.9%, 49 million on food stamps, YEP, I ain't voting for one democrat-communist. And now they are talking about gun control.
I'd be shocked if you were smart enough to figure out how to get to where you need to vote.
Joe Thomas is a re-reg.
The truth does hurt shellie and xzbre
Weather report for Charlotte tonight predicts partly cloudy, Isolated thunder storms, 30% chance of rain.
100% chance of Bull Sheet.
We could always ask Mitt Romney.
That "well-oiled weathervane" always knows which way the wind is blowing.....
Paul Ryan - The Deficit? I Built That!
David - too bad you're no in Charlotte. You could go outside - hold a metal rod in your hand and lie down in the grass face upward with your mouth open! Just a thought!
Obama/Biden 2012
How sweet SeekingSanity...more angry liberal BS. If you were HERE, I'd show you what to do with that metal rod.
Hey, Reality, can you explain to me how you can chide someone for "angry liberal BS" and then add a little thing about "what to do with that metal rod"? Yeah, typical hypocrisy. Nice.
What happened to that little graph on the bottom that showed the race in a dead heat yesterday? Its been running for months...up until today.
Another MSNBS misdirection...
...
The prospect of 55,000 empty seats ?
Let's take no chances.
Could rain - right?
That settles it - move to a smaller venue.
...
Hey, whatever you think...why let reality cloud the picture for you?
The Charlotte host committee — and definitely not the Obama campaign — produced a video that was shown at the Democrat convention. In it is this line: “Government is the only thing we all belong to.”
In this video from Revealing Politics by way of Andy at Ace of Spades, people at the convention are asked how if feels to belong to the government. The responses are predictable:
Did it give any of them a second of ironic pause when they agreed that it feels good to essentially be owned by the government but probably nodded their heads in approval when Joe Biden told them the Republicans are the ones who will put them in chains? I know… had to ask though…
You have got to see this video. WOW! Lenin would be proud of all the “useful idiots”.
Yet more grasping at straws...if you feel this was the point, and message, of that part of the video, there is little hope for you. Your concept of what was meant is far more revealing or YOU than of anything else. That is what is truly ironic.
Any one want to take bets on Obama slipping in a Joke about their venue changed being forced on them by Global Warming?
Actually he probably will slip in some sort of comment to that effect if not as a joke. He's a great speaker and has a wonderful smile. I only hope he asks Willard where his tax returns are since we have seen only one year and need to see several more.
At least the guy can apologize for mistakes. I don't remember bush apologizing for his except for apologizing to Muslims about Korans.
"
Apologizing Part of Romney's Religion?
This strangeness appears as Romney has taken to this topic oddly accusing the President of apologizing to the world. We did not know Romney hewed so closely to his faith, but with such a strange history, and his affinity to almost nothing.

As to those of you who don't believe peopel would have showed up, I stood in line for 7 hours two weeks ago to get my credentials & the line was filled with motivated Obama supporters.
Weather my butt! They KNEW they couldn't fill all the seats! LMAO

Hey dumba$#... in case you don't live in NC, the thunderstorms here are dangerous. Rain is the least of your problems when caught in a NC thunderstorm. Grow up!
SO let me get this right...
The republicans think the democrats should take a 30% risk of having their supporters outside in a lightning storm? Is this another insidious way for them to restrict democratic voters, or just their way of showing once again their complete lack of compassion.
You are seriously ill seek medical and psychiatric attention at once for the benefit of your family.
Gee, Josh, why would you say something as silly as this? What on earth does this have to do with what was posted by 3? As a matter of fact, your post seems to be in direct violation of the code.
