Ryan takes aim at Obama on final day of Democratic convention

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO –- Paul Ryan wasted no time on Thursday in attacking President Barack Obama and the Democrats on the final day of the Democratic National Convention.

“The president is going to be in Charlotte tonight with the Democratic convention. Their convention actually began with a tribute to big government. They actually said government is the only thing we all belong to,” Ryan told the crowd. “Then, they cut references to God out of their platform. They reversed course on that one yesterday – it wasn’t really a popular reversal if you watched it on TV.”

In a new TV ad criticizing President Obama, Mitt Romney's campaign appears to be targeting single women voters who may like the president a great deal but are skeptical if he can deliver the type of change that he was talking about. NBC's David Gregory reports.

Continuing inside an airplane hangar: “But to quote a popular journalist from Wisconsin, ‘they were against God before they were for him.’” [The journalist, POLITICO’s Jim VandeHei, made the comments on MSNBC’s Morning Joe Thursday morning.]

Speaking in the Centennial State – where four years ago, Obama officially accepted the Democratic Party's presidential nomination – the Republican vice presidential candidate said the president hasn’t lived up to his promises and has made the economy worse.

“You know, right here in Colorado, four years ago with the Styrofoam Greek columns, the big stadium, the president gave this long speech with lots of big promises,” Ryan said speaking inside WestPac Restorations. “And he said, let me quote ‘if you don’t have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from.’ You know what, that is what he said four years ago and that is exactly what he is doing today. He has no record to run on.”

Sen. Bob Menendez and Sen. Chris Coons discuss how Vice President Joe Biden will help President Barack Obama, and touch on the Democratic platform.

The attacks are coming from both sides.

Wednesday night, former President Bill Clinton spoke at the convention in Charlotte, NC and did not hold back on attacking the Romney-Ryan ticket.

“When Congressman Ryan looked into that TV camera and attacked President Obama's Medicare savings 'the biggest, coldest power play,' I didn't know whether to laugh or cry,” Clinton said. “Because that $716 billion is exactly to the dollar the same amount of Medicare savings that he had in his own budget! You got to admit one thing, it takes some brass to attack a guy for doing what you did.”

Congressman Ryan, who in Iowa on Wednesday morning praised Clinton for working with Republicans while in office, made no reference to the remarks made at the convention last night by the 42nd president.

Video: Wednesday night's DNC speeches

The House Budget Committee Chairman, however, did acknowledge he may have finally found one thing to agree on with current Vice President Joe Biden.

“You know it was just reported that in the middle of President Obama’s debt ceiling negotiations last summer Vice President Biden said quote, ‘You know if I were doing this I’d do it totally different,’” Ryan told the nearly 3,000 people here in Colorado about the upcoming Bob Woodward book, "The Price of Politics."

"Sounds like Joe and I finally agree on something," the congressman deadpanned.

Ryan takes aim at Obama on final day of Democratic convention

Lyin Ryan couldn't hit the side of a barn with a cannon!

Other than Obama haters... NO ONE is going to vote for a ticket with not one but two pathological serial liars on it!

You got to admit one thing, it takes some brass to attack a guy for doing what you did, Clinton said

Best line of Clinton's speech!

For all his LYIN',

PAUL RYAN doesn't have a leg to stand on. Even the Catholic lay folks and bishops are against his cruel budget, calling it "immoral".

RyanRomney budget would put $10 trillion on the deficit, while giving a new $5 Trillion tax break to the very wealthiest. RyanRomney would also make the Bush tax cuts permanent.

ON MEDICARE President Clinton tells it the way it is: "Here's what really happened....President Obama and the Democrats didn't weaken Medicare, they strengthened it."

Democrats put years on Medicare's life.

RYANROMNEY WOULD END MEDICARE in 2016.

Let me take aim also and put some facts that Bill forgot. A few weeks ago he had praised Romney and Bain. Let me back that up.

The hypocracy and the lies of the Libs is incredible. All this time demonizing Bain and look at all the good that they are doing for Unions, Universities, and States. This are public records and they are facts.

Unions and University Endowments Have Invested Billions With Bain Capital; Press Virtually Ignores

Take the California State Teachers’ Retirement System, which has some $1.25 billion invested with Bain.

“Government-worker pension funds are the chief beneficiaries of Bain’s economic stewardship. New York-based Preqin uses public documents, news accounts and Freedom of Information requests to track private-equity holdings. Since 2000, Preqin reports, the following funds have entrusted some $1.56 billion to Bain: “

Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund ($2.2 million)
* Indiana Public Retirement System ($39.3 million)
* Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System ($177.1 million)
* The Los Angeles Fire and Police Pension System ($19.5 million)
* Maryland State Retirement and Pension System ($117.5 million)
* Public Employees’ Retirement System of Nevada ($20.3 million)
* State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio ($767.3 million)
* Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System ($231.5 million)
* Employees’ Retirement System of Rhode Island ($25 million)
* San Diego County Employees Retirement Association ($23.5 million)
* Teacher Retirement System of Texas ($122.5 million)
* Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System ($15 million)

Perhaps one of you learned can extrapolate the correct number of net jobs created by this administration.

Allow me Smitty: The total workforce is 155 million. The unemployment rate under Bush was 5%. Multiply those two numbers and you get an average of 7,750,000 workers who were unemployed.

Similarly, the average unemployment rate under Obama was 9% which translates to 13,950,000 unemployed workers.

That means that an average of 6 million fewer workers were employed under Obama than under Bush.

The unemployment rate under Bush was 5%.

Bush doesn't get the credit for the low unemployment just because he inherited it from Clinton. Just like Obama inherited Jan-March of 2009 that lost over 2 million jobs in those 3 month.

I love how you people average out Bush's "low" unemployment just because he started with low unemployment (4%).

How about you write this: 8.75 million jobs were lost from January 2008 to February 2010 and it was due to the global financial meltdown and global credit crisis. it had nothing to do with the incoming president but the previous administration. Had Obama not rescued the Aut Makers, the number would have been about 1,000,000 higher.

So please, stop averaging Bush's low unemployment with what he inherited from Clinton. That's not even reasonable.

BTW, Bush started with 4%, yet he managed to f*ck that one up as well. Same with debt, deficit, no wars, smaller government and less spending. Bush just f*cked it up all around...

bayllie - Do you have a source for that 4% number?

During most of the Bush years, unemployment was in steady decline, averaging 5%. When the Democrats took over Congress in 2006, the decline was first halted and then reversed. After Obama's failed "stimulus", unemployment rose even more.

Being a Catholic, Ryan should be in the confessional every single day confessing his sins about lying.

What a team the Republicans have representing them...scociopath and a bald face liar. They should be so proud that their team truly represents today's Republican party. Ike, Teddy, Abe, even Tricky Dick are turning in their graves at what their party has become. On the other hand Benito, Adolph, and Francisco would really be proud of them.

sure as soon as the DNC invites Olberman or Maddow to speak. Bottom line is Beck and Limbaugh are as irrelevant as the libtard bootlickers. GW is hardly a hero even amongst conservatives I can see why they didnt have him speak. Im surprised that the Democrat/SRP didnt have Edwards speak.

Still waiting for Paul Ryan, or any Republican, to tell me exactly how they will pay for the debt increase their tax cuts will create.

I know, I know... they keep saying to wait until after the election for the answer. So you will have to excuse me for thinking that the details are important to consider BEFORE an election.

As it stands, everything is on the table. That means they might increase middle class taxes, or remove deductions like the mortgage interest rate deduction that middle class families enjoy. Until I know the details, I am not going to risk my money when Ryan may take it to give to the 1%.

Allow me Smitty: The total workforce is 155 million. The unemployment rate under Bush was 5%. Multiply those two numbers and you get an average of 7,750,000 workers who were unemployed.

Kanan: Sorry but Bush's unemployment rate at the end if his term was 7.9% and we were continuing to bleed jobs at the rate of 760,000 a month. As the country continued to run under Bush's budget until Oct. 2009 even ending his blame in January is too kind. You can't take averages to make Bush's record look better than what it was, the train wreck began after 8 years of Bush. Bush's 8 years of war spending and 400 billion every year in unfunded tax cuts made his numbers look better early in his presidency until his massive debt build up came due.

I am not a big fan of either candidate/ticket. I see this election as similar to 2004, with an unpopular incumbent facing a ponderous, patrician, wooden challenger who has a reputation for changing his positions on the issues. I suspect the outcome will also be similar.

As I was comparing Mitt to Kerry, I fail to see your (obviously) strained analogy. Using terms like "lefty friends" sadly does mark you as a partisan troll. That means someone who makes statements purely to provoke a response, hence the need and overt desire to use terms that are either inflammatory or divisive.

Your response to my reply is not in the interest of beginning a dialog, as I clearly said that I don't cotton to either ticket. That means I do not support either party. I do believe as I stated, that President Clinton would wipe the floor with both of these guys before his vegan breakfast, and has no equal in either party when it comes to connecting with a crowd.

perhaps so, and yes I agree Clinton would wipe the floor with both (why didnt Hillary win though?) But one could argue Reagan would beat the pants off all the aforementioned (Clintons included). Neither here nor there. Just noticing you weren't as harsh on the Incumbent as you were the challenger, for not liking either that is.

          Caesar -

You know Obama has 'changed' positions all too often himself right?

Can you really give specific examples of where President Obama reversed his position on major policies, or are you going to use that false equivalency argument that equates unkept campaign promises to political positions?

Romney have completely reversed his position on Abortion, Gun Control, Minimum Wage, Taxes, Stem Cell Research, Gay Rights and Healthcare.

Romney has also publically stated completely opposite positions on issues as diverse as whether Coal is good or bad, whether he admires Ronald Reagan or not, or whether Blind Trusts are really "blind".

As to whether Ronald Reagan could beat Bill Clinton in a presidential election, currently Clinton certainly has overwhelmingly better favorability numbers.

It is probably a moot argument, though, since Reagan would not make it through the Republican primaries with the positions he held in 1980.

          Augustus,

Because Bill and Hillary are CENTRIST Democrats, and that is not the party mainstream. The party has turned to President Clinton now, but if the election wasn't up for grabs, he would have been minimized. Centrist Democrats and moderate Republicans are what led to things like welfare reform and balanced budgets, but they are a dying breed, and the country is worse off for it.

Why is it so important to determine where everyone else "leans"? Leads to a lot of conclusions chasing facts that way doesn't it? Better to let the opinions speak for themselves. You are going to tie yourself into knots if you try that with this guy.

If you worship the distant memory of Ronald Reagan (How old are you? If you're under 50, you don't even remember Reagan), you don't just lean right fiscally...;-)

I have often commented on the similarities between the 2004 election and this one.

Polarizing incumbent hated by the opposition party who nominate a Massachusetts "elite" who has trouble connecting with the common man.

Challenger nominated at a convention that failed to inspire the base or convince the independents.

Smooth-talking VP candidate who proves to be more flash than substance.

I think the results will be similar - the incumbent wins. It is hard to run simply against something/someone, you have to give voters a "reason to believe".

I called Rush's show once when he annoyed me with his twisted facts. One day he was praising Reagan for getting the American people behind him on his military build up despite democratic opposition by holding his fire side chats and getting people to demand Reagan be allowed to complete his platform he was elected on. Rush bragged that Reagan increased defense spending over 1 trillion dollars despite democratic opposition. The day before when questioned by a caller concerned with our massive deficit Rush responded that only congress can submit a budget and it wasn't Reagan's fault. When I pointed out this inconsistancy he merely said he didn't really think deficits mattered and cut to commercial.

                Feisty Redhead,

Are you 400 lb union truck driver? Not that is a bad thing, but that is how you language sounds to me.

If you are unfortunate enough to be a woman, I wanted to ask you a serious question. You seem to like free speech, but how will you feel after the Muslims actually move in across America.

I was curious about the Muslims visiting the DNC and Googled it. All I can say is WOW, the volumes of real news not being told on this news outlet is enormous. The DNC Chairman for example allowed the Muslims to hold a two hour prayer session at the convention tonight, but disallowed the Catholic Bishop's offer to give Christian Prayers.

Then there was the other site I visited where they covered the movement to declare Barry the new Messiah. Folks, he just took Jesus' job and there was a competition for ART to portray him as the second coming Messiah.

Prophesy has just arrived so get ready for all of the terrible stuff that everyone has been expeciting.

Don't want to believe me, go there and see it before it is edited out by the Messiah's. By these rules I do not think I can give you the links, but if you Google, "DNC and Islam", you will find all you want.

One more question redhead are you such a Barry supporter that your are going to get a VJJ TRIMJOB and cover your body, oh and loose your freedoms and well you know????

I am also curious of the Homosexual population lining up to vote. How do you feel your safety will measure up after the Muslims take over? Are you having that "Warm and Fuzzy "feeling?

I always like that Oak Ridge boys song, "Turn your radio on". The boys sure knew how to life your spirits in song, it is too bad that the Christian Zealots have driven the American youth to allow the the Muslims to come in. We all need to "Turn Your Radio On" again for some of the good feeling spirits. Do any of you know the Holy Spirit or even the definition? It was and is the thing that separates the Human Jesus from the Heavenly Jesus, Son of God. You may not know this, but it is the most powerful force in the Universe. Jesus imparted it to humans as a gift to the Apostles. It is a blessing, and a weapon to use against Evil, literally like The mystical force Luke Skywalker was said to have, but without Hollywood's special effects.

For those of you that do not know, there are choices in Churches that offer teaching other than hate.

I visited dozens of churches in order to find a place with true spirit. I did find it in a Baptist nontraditional services, but that is me. Your place may be someplace welse that God will speak to you. The people were young and middle aged and the message was of Christ and not the Hebrew Old Testament.

The reason I mention this is, as a social worker, I saw teenagers who had lost their mortal souls literally through all the rotten people that had abused them and a society that threw them away. Christian homes shunned them as if they carried biblical plagues.

I was becoming sick to my soul like the children I was assigned to protect. I literally could feel the despair they felt as the skies darkened around me wherever I went. I needed, and asked for God's help and it was there at the nontraditional church services.

When I see comments like the "fictional man in the sky" and others, I know where they are coming from. I had a shi-ty life but because I was exposed to Jesus by my grandparents who walked the walk as well as talked the talk, I knew that help is out there. I just needed to ask for help and let God lead me. I was led to the job of a social worker after trying to force my own way without God. Trust me it hurt, physically, and mentally and emotionally. God has a way of slapping some sense into us at times when we need it.

So joke, laugh until you cry, and have a great time but we are probably moving towards a prophesy coming true. I do not want to see it as it is written as Tribulations in Revelations and other books of the Bible.

One more thing about Muslims before I go. They believe in a predestined future. Everything is already written down somewhere, and therefore they, by shear will, make sure it happens. That is why a group of Muslim men can stand and chant "God's will" as a man murders his wife for having been raped. It was her duty to have died during the rape since she did not, she is said to have committed adultry. She sinned and thus must die, forget what the man did who raped her or the Murderous husband.

A female child is rapped and she is required to marry her rapist to save her immortal soul. Forget the man Raped her, and if she is pregnant, she is doomed to keep the child and live as a slave to the rapist.

They say Allah is merciful, but in looking at Islam that is only true if a child is fortunate enough to be born a male. Female children are doomed and cursed all of their miserable lives in Islam. The best they can hope for is to not be murdered in a violent death.

Isn't Ryan the one who, upon meeting face to face with Obama, bolted and left the room crying after his budget plan was criticized? Nothing brassy about that.

I don't think 3,000 people is a large crowd, doesn't Biden draw at least that many? I thought Paul Ryan was the "wunderkind".....

Maybe it was really sub-4,000 but Ryan reduced it to sub-3,000 like his marathon time...

I thought all the Republican posters were on here last week complaining about President Obama and VP Biden campaigning during a convention? Where is the outrage now?

McCain said after examining Willards tax returns that they had no bearing on his decision to select Palin as his running mate he just believed she was the better candidate. Scary thought.

So typical of Ryan and his bunch.

“The president is going to be in Charlotte tonight with the Democratic convention. Their convention actually began with a tribute to big government. They actually said government is the only thing we all belong to,”

Once again Ryan distorts the intent of the message. The word, "belong" was used in the context of being a member of a group or organization. For example, "I belong to that church" or "I belong to the Kiwanis". The point of the video was to say that we all have a stake in the government, not that the government owns us.......Ryan is either stupid or intentionally trying to misrepresent the message. Frankly, I don't think he is stupid so I guess he, like his running mate is willing to say anything to get elected.

Ya see, only simpletons would argue that he hasn't lived up to his promises, as your ilk have been shown time after time that he me kept a majority of his campaign promises. Likewise, Bill Clinton outlined very clearly, the economy is doing better since Obama took office, yet you cling to your nagging negatives like a heroine addict clings to an empty needle. So, the shortcomings are not with the president, rather, they are with the fools who can't even remember back 4 years ago to the mess left by the Republicans.

ABC News, WASHINGTON, July 3, 2012 - As a candidate, Obama vowed so many times that he would shutter the prison he called a recruitment tool for terrorists that he himself even noted how often he's promised to do so, in an interview with Steve Kroft shortly after he was elected.

In that interview in November 2008, Kroft asked Obama if he planned to "take early action" to shut down Guantanamo. Obama replied, "Yes."

                              Kannin,

I can argue that Obama did not make it worse... Unemployment is lower today than the day he took office. I was unemployed on the day he took office, and now I have at least 2 part time jobs. I had no health insurance on that day and now, at least there is hope that I will be able to purchase some health insurance as soon as my state gets its act together and establishes the insurance markets which will allow the spread of the risk through out the carriers. My taxes are lower by 2% - due to the Social Security reduction which will expire on December 31. I had extended unemployment benefits thanks to the stimulus package. I hope never to have to draw unemployment benefits again - I appreciate having that $275 per week but of course I would rather work. I feel safer now that I know Obama is in command of the military because I know that he will not going charging into another war without some cause or evidence to to back up his actions. My retirement account is almost double what it was on the day Obama took office. My house value is on the rise again..it has not fully recovered, but then again I'm not sure I want to return to 2006 when the housing bubble burst. I now have an agency in the government which protects me against predatory practices of banks and credit card companies. I have a government who believes in justice and equality and is defending the rights of minorities to vote in the elections in this country. And I do not believe that I would have had any of this if Senator McCain had become President. And I believe that all of this will be gone if Romney is President.

Presidents are judged on the number of campaign promises they're able to complete no president can enact them all.

Bush promised to cut health care, insurance cost and number of uninsured. Health care costs increased an average 12.5% a year and there were 4 million more uninsured during his presidency

Bush promised to increase funding for Pell grants to over $5,000 yet held funding to $4,050 throughout his presidency.

Bush pledged to make the government which is the countries biggest polluter adhere to pollution laws but exempted them and the military after elected.

I could list many more and as many for Bush senior and Reagan but those on the right aren't really concerned with the truth only talking points. Many of Obama's failed attempts were beyond his control such as working with republicans as they weren't willing even though he was. The grandaddy of them all was.

Bush promised a humble foreign policy with no nation building. He had criticized the Clinton-Gore Administration for being too interventionist: "If we don't stop extending our troops all around the world in nation-building missions, then we're going to have a serious problem coming down the road. And I'm going to prevent that."[1]

Our scorecard shows Obama kept 37 percent of his promises. He brought the war in Iraq to a close and finally achieved the Democratic dream of a universal health care program. When the United States had Osama bin Laden in its sights, Obama issued the order to kill.

This is a political convention. In spite of the televised hoopla the intent of the convention is to convene and discuss the issues of importance to the party members. Unlike our Republican friends, Democrats do not walk in lock step and sometimes we actually argue our points of view.

It would be a mistake to assume that our willingness to "express" eliminates our willingness to listen and yes, even change our minds when a reasonable argument is offered. You may call that flip flopping. I call it being reasonable and open to learning and growth.

That's what Democrats do as they convene: They exchange ideas, reason with each other, stay open to learning and grow stronger for the process. Now if we could only get our Republican brothers and sisters in congress on board with the process.

Sorry, smitty, I would not. That has become custom, particularly from this candidate's dad. The Constitution actually forbids a religious test for public office, you will note that it does not forbid that tax returns be shown. I daresay the Founders would believe that knowing MORE about the candidate is better than not knowing.

Kannin: I would respond to your post, but campdog has done such an exemplary job, I have nothing to add. Really enjoyed reading that campdog!

It takes just much brass to attack a guy for not doing what you didn't want him to do...you know, like when Congressman Ryan complains that the President didn't do anything with the recommendations from Simpson-Bowles...recommendations that the Congressman himself did not approve.

I hope that the DNC continues the argument for the President tonight on the question of 'Are you better off?. Given the inherited situation and circumstances, the President's accomplishments are outstanding. The R&R boys would only take us back to days we'd rather forget.

And consider this question also - 'How much better off would we be if the President did not have the obstructionist GNOPers to deal with?'. Paul Ryan was one of the biggest GNOPers. Mitt will be collared with that Lyin' Ryan to the end. Atta boy Mitt, you sure know how to pick 'em

Wow! That vote against God and Israel thing was awkward wasn't it? It would have been less pronounced had he read the predetermined outcome after the first vote. Three votes just made it a commercial. I still say it is all about the economy, but a national party should at least be unified on a foriegn policy issue this important in our world. As for the party line on God, it is a non political issue to me. I believe, and others don't. A party vote does not needed to validate it, nor could it erase that influence from personal views. The real question is how does it sit with swing voters? and, Is it a point of devision for some within the party? Contrary to most posters, I do not believe that either party marches in lock step to it's leaders. I think the real issue is the degree to which any party tolerates it's more vocal fringe groups.

I just thought I would insert a few quotes by Governor Romney to illustrate the low intellectual level at which he seems to be operating:

"I'm not sure about these cookies. They don't look like you made them. No, no. They came from the local 7/11 bakery, or whatever."

—Mitt Romney, visiting a local bakery while campaigning in Pittsburgh, PA, April 17, 2012 (The owner of the baker later told MSNBC he was offended by Romney's remarks.)

"I have some great friends who are NASCAR team owners!"

—Mitt Romney, after being asked whether he follows NASCAR racing (February 2012)

"I'm running for office, for Pete's sake! I can't have illegals!"

—Mitt Romney, recalling his reaction when he learned that there were illegal aliens working the ground on his property, employed by a firm that he subsequently fired (October 2011)

"I have pushed the idea of managed bankruptcy. And finally, when that was done and help was given, the companies got back on their feet. So I'll take a lot of credit for the fact this industry's come back."

-Mitt Romney speaking in May, 2012 about the auto industry's comeback.

"If General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler get the bailout that their chief executives asked for yesterday, you can kiss the American automotive industry goodbye!"

-Mitt Romney writing in a 2008 New York Times op-ed entitled, "Let Detroit Go Bankrupt"

"I'm Mitt Romney, and yes, Wolf, that is also my first name."

—Mitt Romney, addressing Wolf Blitzer at the November, 2011 GOP debate, getting his own name wrong (his first name is ''Willard,'' and his middle name is ''Mitt'')

"The blind trust is an age-old ruse, if you will, which is to say you can always tell the blind trust what it can and cannot do. You give a blind trust rules."

-Mitt Romney in 1994. It is important to note Romney's blind trust is managed by none other than his colleagues at Bain Capital.

"I purchased a gun when I was a young man. I've been a hunter pretty much all my life."

                                      —Mitt Romney (April 2007)

"I'm not a big-game hunter. I've made that very clear. I've always been a rodent and rabbit hunter. Smanll varmints, if you will."

—Small game hunter Mitt Romney, clarifying things a few days later after his hunting credentials were questioned (April 2007)

"I respect and will protect a woman's right to choose."

                                      -Mitt Romney in 2002

"Look, I am pro-life. You can go back to YouTube and look at what I said in 1994. I never said I was pro-choice, but my position was effectively pro-choice. I changed my position. And I get tired of people who are holier-than-thou because they'e been pro-life longer than I have."

-Flip Flopping MItt Romney in 2007

"(Obama) says we need more firemen, more policemen, more teachers. Did he not get the message of Wisconsin? It's time for us to cut back on government and help the American people!"

—Mitt Romney at a campaign event in Council Bluffs, Iowa, June 8, 2012

C'mon, now! Is this guy great or what?

You may be able to spell Socialism but you sure can misspell the President's name.

A real man will apologise when something is wrong, sometimes he does it when it is not really his fault. Surely a leader does that for sure. Only a smug little brat, a bully, a sociopath would not apologise for his behavior or those representing him.

I'll bet you can also spell Fascism if you try hard enough. Surely Ryan and Romney can.

                                        John 15:12 KJV:

"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you"

Notice that Jesus did not say "This is my suggestion"? Or "This is a good idea"?

It is a Commandment and should be respected as such....

"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you"

Notice Jesus did not single out whites, blacks, Latinos, straights, gays, men, women, children, young, old, healthy, sick?

Where does the GOP come off saying who you can and cannot love? Whom you can and cannot marry?

Now we have a "Holiday" tree.. Just like we now have "Political etiquette" in how we wish people a Merry Christmas.. That is no longer Politically correct.. Now we wish people Happy Holidays.. God forbid Christ make an appearence in a Holiday that is dedicated to HIS BIRTH.. Ugh.. :/
