I wish I had cable so I could watch more of the Democratic convention. It's times like these, I realize what a vast wasteland broadcast TV has become. The last few mornings I've been flipping the channels to try and catch a morning show that is talking about the upcoming election, but mostly find overpaid media anchors blathering on about TomKat's divorce. I was just lucky enough to find a channel showing Elizabeth Warren speaking last night - purely by accident! If you ask me, our democracy deserves better than what broadcast TV is giving us.
i think our local PBS station is covering the conventions, maybe yours does as well?
What I've seen so far is Dem convention attack like pitt bulls and a lot of politicians (who are currently running for other offices) who have probably gotten where they are with their ability to give great speaches (whether true or not). Also, I haven't seen one dem speaker who doesn't have their own personal interests in being there.
I will not be voting for Obama.....Our country has a mass of unemployment, yet Obama wants to let illegals stay and work (up to age 30) further problems with employment for CITIZENS of our country. It is evident he only did this to get the latino vote....again, not caring for our country's economy.
Obama says he will do this or that...(hasn't so far) and if he does some of those things, at what cost to our national debt. He's had the last four years to accomplish great things, but instead, he uses his administrative powers for situations that the US citizens are against.
