NBC News has learned that the Democratic Party will reinstate the language recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Republicans -- including the Romney campaign -- criticized President Obama and the Democrats after it was discovered this language had been omitted in the Democratic Party's platform
This will all be changed on the floor today, NBC has learned, and it will probably mean just simply reinstating the 2008 language.

....and BTW this was not just about Israel. You know, God does the Dems a favor by forcing the smaller venue change and they still have to by force override their own delegates to get a pro-God amendment through. This video was comical as anything Jon Stewart and the Daily Show has produced.

I just saw a video of the vote where half the hall booed when they voted to re-insert the word "God" into the platform.
And these are the a-wholes who want to continue running our country?

Castro didn't sound or look too good as he put the vote to the delegates for the second time....then the third time. And still didn't get the affirmative answer he needed to obey his masters. His mouth flapped like a fish out of water as he looked wildly around for help or advice which wasn't forthcoming. This is the man touted as a new leader for Democrats! He is obviously as unqualified for high office as Barack Obama. Democrats don't deserve to be saddled with another upstart with no relevant experience or judgment.
Correction. I wrote that the person putting the vote was Castro. It was not Castro and I apologize for my mistake. The man was Antonio R. Villaraigosa.
For an organization that is supposed to be on top of their game, I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall to listen to the back and forth. Omitting both was sure to cause an uproar, which it did. But to cave, also shows weakness and disorganization. More important, what else will they cave to in the future. It sends a bad message across the board. Eerily similar to the Susan Komen funding fiasco w/Planned Parenthood.
BTW - if you missed the two items because it was a mistake (uh...that would be called an epic fail!)

The Israeli News Paper Yediot Ahronot is reporting that Obama had told Iran that he will not provide support to Israel if they strike Iran.

At least the President was smart enough to step in and fix this mistake but not until the damage had been done. Love or hate Mitt Romney, he has not been successful because he let others take the wheel of the venture he was leading.
Why should I not be surprised that a liberal, left wing, socialist news media outlet like NBC would hardly mention that the Democrats "forgot" to include God in their platform for the first time in HISTORY. NBC made a big deal that the Gov. Romney didn't mention war since 1952. Then the Democrats to correct their mistake, ignore their own party members and approve an amendment, when it is clear to everyone who can hear that 2/3 of the delegates did NOT approve the changes. What a bunch of hypocrites. Whether you believe in the God of Christians, Jews, Muslims, you should really wonder about the Democrats and their beliefs!
The "God" referenced in the Democrats platform is probably quite different from the "God" which was referenced by the Founding Fathers and which many erroneously assume is spattered throughout US historical documents. Most Americans are quite lacking in knowledge of our history, otherwise they would know that the "God" referred to by the Founding Fathers was not a Christian God, Jewish God, Muslim God or any other religious God. Many of the Founding Fathers were followers of the Enlightenment Movement, and were not religious at all. The "God" they referred to could best be thought of as a being synonymous with Mother Nature, a god that was responsible for guiding the formation of the universe but didn't meddle in human lives, and couldn't care less whether people lived or died, who wins the Super Bowl, or whether you are praying for money to buy crap you really can't afford. Putting these two items in the platform is nothing more than pandering to Christians and Jews alike. Why should the US Democratic Party's platform reference anything about Israel? Do you think the Israeli party platforms reference supporting the US?

I notice you did not mention the fact that they added a mention to God back in and that it took three vote with none being certain to finally carry the motion. Then there was the load shouting of "no" and the booing. Certainly should tell us a bunch.

First day with Democrats celebrating the right for a woman to bash and trash her fetus at the expense of taxpayers.
Second day with most Democrats vocally demonstrating their views that Religion and Israel should not exist.
I wonder what would happen if the convention lasted seven days.
