“One reason for Romney’s edge: By a margin of 52 percent to 39 percent, North Carolina voters say he would do a better job handling the economy,” the Charlotte Observer writes. The poll also found that Obama doesn’t enjoy the same support among women in North Carolina that he does elsewhere and nationally. Among men, Romney leads by 12, but among women, the candidates are tied.

Bain, the tax cheats. I'm sure they were taught how by our Republican canidate Romney. Lessons in how to call one thing another and how to hide those ill gotten gains in off shore accounts. Cayman Islands come to mind. I hope they throw the book at this cheat and all crony buddys.

Hedley and Kannin - you two are fools of the radical right. What is really sad is that - under normal circumstances - Romney wouldn't even talk to anyone like you - you're beneath him. And, he would never be a President "of the people."
Luckily we have very good President who will be re-elected in November. And, by November, he'll take NC too!

I guess you haven't gotten word yet. This election is not about Bain Capital, or off shore accounts in the Caymans. It's about the economy and the current occupant of the White House who is probably wishng he could find a way to transfer the 8.3% unemployment and $16 trillion in debt to an off shore account. Can you say smoke screen?

Since the California public employee union invested millions in Bain, why dont you make a citizen's arrest of these public employee union officials at the DNC Convention. In fact, there are thousands attending the DNC Convention whose money was invested in Bain...arrest them all!

He was behind the start up of Staples. Starting with one store in 1986, Staples now is the world's largest office products company with $24 billion in sales in 2009.
There were a handful of companies in which jobs were lost, but the jobs created by all the others number in the hundreds of thousands ... hundreds of thousands of US workers.
What is even more noteworthy is the fact that he never blamed the previous management for his own difficulties – he just fixed what was wrong.

Seeking, for Obama to take NC, he kinda, sorta has to have a majority....he doesn't. What's has gotten lost in the noise recently is the fact that Romney has been slowly moving up in the polls. This election is honestly too close to call at this point in the game. The problem for Obama is convincing those who voted for "hope and change" (Especially the youth vote when a lot of them are out of work) that they might actually get that in the next four years. Looks like a lot of them have decided they won't....

Those that are for an unfair tax code that favors the very rich. Will not vote for the President. The "Bain Trained" Speculators on Wall Street will not vote for President Obama. The GOP/RNC "War Hawks" under the Foreign Policy control of Cheney will not vote for the President. Those that want America dependent on all fossil fuels by giving huge tax loop holes for Big Oil will not vote for the President. Those that are big bankers, large Oil CEO's, and Wall Street Speculators will not be voting for the President. Thoes that like others who hide their past tax returns. Will not vote for the President. Those "Economic Speculators" that like to outsource American Jobs, bankrupt American Corporations for profit, and destroy all Economic Regulations. Will not vote for the President. One wonders then what America will look like if "Romulian Romney," and "Richie Rich" Ryan win in 2012.

Ken, exactly HOW is Mitt going to employ 23 million Americans? I have yet to hear any plan that will actually increase employment. We already know that tax cuts for the wealthy does not create jobs.
Seeing 47 to 43 adds up to only 90, so where are the other 10 percent? Are they undecided or they just don't care? How many are voting for someone other than Obama or Romney? Also, are these "likely voters" or the general populace of NC?
It's the same all over. People tend to lean success over failure.
Conservative - which is why they'll vote for Obama over lying Romney! Romney is a failure as a man. The majority do not want him in a leadership position for our country.

It must suck to have to rationalize a man who has earned $230 million as being a failure. We should all fail so miserably. Last time I checked the polls are tied. That does not give your welfare-in-chief a majority.
Democrats have a lot in common with Palestinians. They both try to defuse criticism by immediately describing their enemies in the terms that are most appropriate for what they themselves are doing. Palestinians strap suicide bombs to their children, and immediately scream that Israelis are terrorists. Democrats have a failed President, and describe one of the most successful men in the country as "a failure."

Sorry Gem but Romney's America is already saved but what about the rest of us???? The Republicans have made it pretty clear where their priorities are and it surely has not been in the best interest for the majority of American citizens. Trickle down economics Is a joke, it only trickled down into the richest pockets. What happened to the middle class? We just melted down to the working poor! We have lost just about everything our parents worked for, Wages suck, employee rights gone, unions destroyed, health care totally out of control, I could go on and on----They have totally ignored our needs to Keep our heads above the water.All they have done is fight against anything positive our President has tried to pass. I can't believe our own American Companies gets tax breaks for moving to other countries. Why are we destroying our own country?? Then all I hear is more tax cuts for the rich! Save America?? We need to save America from the Romneys and the Republican Party.
