Personally, I'll be interested to see which neighborhoods each man visits, and for how long. I have my suspicions. Mitt's not able to do much for anyone in any official capacity, so anyone who thinks he's just going in an effort to pretend that he really cares for "the little people" is probably justified. President Obama, on the other hand, has the authority to make things happen. The question is, will he be really effective, or is this for him, as for Mitt, just a photo-op?

Love all the Liberals still Blame President Bush for everything especially Katrina of course leaving out the facts....I understand the Federal gov't could of done a better job in the relief of Katrina, but President Bush did offer to send in the national guard, but Governor Blanco (of course not re-elected for her poor handling of the situation) of Louisiana turned down the help and they can not put the national guard in before a disaster without the permission of the state.

The state did not let any relief groups in before the disaster either. The relief took longer to get to the needs of the people because they had a hard time getting into the city due to the flooding aftermath. Also the US government (President Clinton & Bush) did give grant money to Louisiana long before hurricane Katrina hit to repair and updated the levees, but the state and city choose to spend the money in the French Quarter and building casinos to beef up their tourism.

The local government also left hundreds of unused buses in the parking lots which could of been used to evacuate the residents. It is amazing what will press will say. I have friends down there and one year after the hurricane Katrina I was down there visiting and the devastation was still there and it was very sad, but what we saw on the news was only the poor areas and how affected they were. In reality the hardest hit areas were the middle class areas, but that was not mentioned on TV.

To this day, they still show the poor areas and being in turmoil, but what they fail to mention is that many of the residents (not all) in the poor areas took their insurance money or the federal money they received and did not choose to re-build or fix up their houses but spend the money in other ways and still wanted the government to house them for free, while the other communities affected choose to re-build their area.

I understand that our federal government is not perfect, but with respect to the Katrina tragedy, the majority of the fault lies with the state and local governments and their neglect of the situation. We pay our state taxes for a reason and there is a time when individuals and the goverments of the individual states need to take responsibility for their actions, that is why we have these laws. It also goes to show that the press only reports half of the facts in any situation

We know we can't afford more kids (the ones we have now drive us to the brink of financial ruin due to grocery bills for 2 teenage boys), and the IUD is the most effective form of birth control that doesn't use hormones (99.9% effective because copper is a natural spermacide). hormonal birth control makes my wife not fit to be around, and so the only choice for us is the IUD.
