Eastwood recently thrust his support behind GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who will receive his official nomination at the convention tonight.
Earlier this year, a Chrysler ad narrated by Eastwood that aired during the Super Bowl appeared to endorse President Barack Obama, prompting the actor to respond that he was not backing either candidate. He then went on to voice his support for Romney earlier this month at a fundraiser in Idaho.
Eastwood will address the convention Thursday night in Tampa, Fla., before Romney accepts his nomination. Romney will be introduced by Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.

No, I think he was telling it as he sees it, but at least he was being honest about how he sees things.
Some of these posts show the basic childishness and petulance of Democrats who seem to act like five year olds. Conservatives have had to put up with Hollywood creeps who say the stupidest stuff and support not only Obama but, like Sean Penn, Fidel Castro fer christ sake. But we don't go around throwing ourselves on the floor, chewing the rug, sobbing, and vowing to boycott their movies. If it's a good flick, we go.
Democrats need to grow up. And maybe even start respecting the First Amendment of that radical Inconvenient Document, the Bill of Rights.
Btw, Eastwood was himself upset that that Superbowl ad was thought to be supporting Obama.
Eastwood or not I'm planning to vote for Mitt Romney with confidence in his ability to lead this country in the right direction. Now how long will it take to pay off the TRILLIONS! , perhaps / more than likely not in my lifetime. Well, everyone that got a share is still smiling. Let this be a lesson to the American people with reguards to trust. What ammount of taxes would be required to pay off 13 Trillion dollars in 4 years??? ok lets say 20 years.

Clint Eastwood like Ronald no brain Union busting Reagan is just another California Republican Right Wing Nut. If you have been around long enough you know you couldn't give away tickets to his spaghetti westerns. His acting skill was alot less than Ronnie no memory incompetent Reagans. If you duct taped Clint Eastwood to Ronald Reagan you would still have nothing but a B Grade actor that was never really good. It wasn't until Eastwood got old and did some directing that anything he did was noteworthy at all. I remember going by a Drive in in some @!$%#ty neighborhood and they had a Clint Eastwood night of his Spaghetti Westerns and no one attended because he sucked as an actor!

So people like Oprah and Eva Longoria can openly support Pres. Obama, but when an entertainer supports any Repulican he's suddenly a bad guy? Whether you're Dem or Rep, you have to admit, Mr. Eastwood did a great ad lib. Anyhoo, we live in a free country and have the privilege of voting for and supporting whom ever we choose. Clint Eastwood, like any other citizen, can support Mr. Romney if he wants to. Get over yourselves.
belluslitas, yes he can vote for any presidential candidate he wants to, its his privelege and his right, and this is a free country. But (there is always a but) when you are in the entertainment business, and making your living as a celebrity making pictures some of those rights are automatically taken away. There are thousands of gay and lesbian workers in the entertainment industry that helped make eastwoods pictures what they are and to spit in their faces by showing up at that biggoted, homophobic repbulican convention is just proof eastwood is a two-faced goon. He could have gone into another line of work if he had wanted to, no one would have missed him, because no one would of heard of him then he could have voted republican and no one would have given a crap. Sometimes life is a bitch but there are rules to follow. How many of romney's son's do you think will vote Democatic, none, or his close family, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, you get my drift. That wrinkley old dude sure must be hardup for attention and at the republican national convention of all places. I was never a big fan of eastwood's or of his pictures, but yeah, I seen a few. His playing of a tough macho character got real old after awhile, just once it would have been nice to see him knocked on his ass in the pictures, and not get up and win the fight. I now wouldn't give a plug nicklel to see any of his old or new films, or any films he has directed, to me he no longer exists.
