NBC's Ron Mott, Kelly O'Donnell and Luke Russert offer a preview of what to expect from Rep. Paul Ryan's speech before the Republican National Convention.
TAMPA, Fla. -- Out of all the speakers, all the proclamations, and all the political rhetoric, one topic was barely mentioned here last night, if at all: foreign policy.
That will change somewhat tonight when Arizona Sen. John McCain and former Bush Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice address the Republican convention. According to Romney officials, McCain's speech -- which daughter Meghan McCain said would be "red meat to the lions" on MSNBC -- will focus on defense matters, while Rice's will concentrate on foreign affairs.
Slideshow: The 2012 Republican National Convention
But that's pretty much it.
Tonight's other key speakers -- Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Sen. Rob Portman, South Dakota Sen. John Thune, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez -- will discuss domestic issues affecting the middle class, organizers say. And tomorrow's final night will be a build up to Mitt Romney's acceptance speech.
(That said, Romney will talk about defense and veterans' issues in his upcoming speech today before the American Legion in Indianapolis.)
This lack of attention to foreign policy and national security is a departure from past political conventions. Four years ago in Denver, Democrats devoted the theme of their Wednesday program to the issue (the title of the night was "Securing America's Future"). And given that McCain was the GOP's nominee in the 2008 cycle, foreign affairs was a dominant theme in the Republican convention in St. Paul.
And in 2004 -- just removed from the 9/11 attacks and the start of the Iraq war -- both the Democratic and Republican conventions had a heavy focus on defense and foreign affairs. (Remember John Kerry's "reporting for duty" speech? Or George W. Bush's finale? Or Rudy Giuliani's?)
Of course, one obvious explanation for this change is the focus on the economy. Indeed, almost every poll shows that jobs and the economy rank as the public's top concern. "Obviously, the economy is No. 1," said a top Romney official in response to a question why there's so little attention to national security and foreign affairs at the GOP convention.
Another reason is the truncated schedule. "We only have three nights," an additional Romney official replied. "That's a piece of it."
A third reason is President Barack Obama's strength on these issues, especially compared with his standing on the economy. In fact, the most recent NBC/WSJ poll found the president's approval rating on foreign policy at 54%, versus 44% on the economy.
And so guess what's a big Thursday theme of next week's Democratic convention in Charlotte?
According to the Boston Globe, it will be national security.

Right along with their vision for this country, generational marginalization, women's rights, jobs, and anything else which deviates from their message of hate & intolerance!
So far, nothing but Obama-Bashing to gin up the base!
I see where they used up all their "diverse" candidates last night and are back to the pale, male & stale with the exception of Martinez & Rice!
Isn't THAT special...
Rmoney has no foreign policy doe's he? I've never heard any talk of that. I guess he'll do what paul ryan says for foreign policy. Just like dick did.
Well stated Feisty!
What the GNOP qualifies as foreign policy is how many jobs they can outsource to foreign countries.
In the meantime, they will continue to focus on how they can move this country back to the 1950's. Except of course how they can further line their pocketbooks by in-acting as many laws as possible to give free reign to corporations, banks, tax breaks for those earning more than $250,000 and wall street.
Hey Smitty. Big weekend coming up. As you have said, another week gone by and the Tigers are still 2 games back of the White Sox. They got jobbed last night in KC. 9th inning Home Run called foul.
Tigers need minimum 2 out of 3 this weekend and then we have 4 left with the Sox. It's starting to look pretty rough for my home team...
What are they going to talk about regarding foreign policy? How they're going to turn Mitten's loose on the world. That's even too funny for most Repubes.....

I wasn't even born yet so I sure don't want to go back to the 50's! ☺
Condi finds little wrong with Obama Foreign Policy
NORAH O'DONNELL: Can you be specific about somewhere where you think President Obama has failed on foreign policy.
RICE: What we should do tonight, is talk about what a President Romney would mean for America. It's not a time to look back, it's a time to look forward. We have real challenges out there, in the Middle East, in Asia, in Europe, with our allies.
O'DONNELL: But if President Obama isn't doing anything wrong, then why change things?
RICE: It's a question of what a President Romney would do and there is no doubt that the United States' voice has been muted and when the United States' voice is muted the world is a more dangerous place.
O'DONNELL: How is the United States' voice muted?
RICE: Just look at the situation in Syria for instance. We have a circumstance in which Assad is butchering his people. The Iranians are helping him to do so. The United States seems to be mired in the Security Council. The Russians and the Chinese say no, no, no and we don't have an answer. When that is the case, it's a dangerous place. …
IF Romney or any other republican had their way, we'd be in a global war immediately after the inauguration was completed. That's another one of their foreign policy ideas.
In the minds of the GNOP, the voice of the U.S. is muted if we are not at war. Pathetic and disgusting.
Condi Rice is calling for the American invasion of Syria?
White Collar Auto I'm not going to say anything yet. There is still allot of time left. If you think about it a 2 game lead is not much. Its still the best race in baseball at this time.
Why would she? It's her/Bush's policy. Of course you do need to execute a little better on the followup of your extraction of dictators, make sure the Muslim Brotherhood doesn't take over, like in Egypt. And Libya. The warnings that Obama has given Syria have been effective though, sort of, okay not really. And Iran has certainly been cooperative. Hillary looks nice too.
And you have to excuse O'Donnell. She thinks "foreign" is anything outside the New York/DC corridor.
Feisty
Old wave, new wave, wet and you still cannot breathe ... either then or now we all still had to look good in a pair of jeans
I'm sure that Romney will just sparkle in the foreign policy arena considering his last outing on foreign soils.(Sarc.)
I'm equally sure that his skills as a (vulture)capitalist will translate well into foreign policy decisions. (Sarc. again)
Perhaps Ryan could help out on the foreign policy side by insisting on abortion restrictions and getting personhood amendments passed out of the U.N.. I'm sure that international leaders will be greatly enamored with him (He's so buff. You hear about his workout schedule? Check with Fox News) and will be willing to submit to vaginal probes if necessary ,even if they don't have vagina's. (Sarc. once again)
JoAnnaSmith1
Republicans seem to have that same problem with the extremes in their backyard ... boy have they moved up the ladder. Tell me JAS! are you part of the far right fringe taking over control of the once Grand Party?
This is the modern GOP meme, blame others for your own faults.
The mere thought of Mitt Romney in command of the armed forces scares me. I wonder if he picks up the phone to deal with an international crisis, he'll just respond the way he typically does: "I don't want to talk about that."
BCWC
You're f*&king kidding right.
Obamao isn't GOP now is he?
Somebody please, give the Besity poster a job.
But NBC did not want to air it, Ummmm? And no he was not the only black American there, of course if you were tuned to NBC they only showed what would be in favor on the anointed one.
Folks we better get used to this Lefties hatred and frustration, when the polls start to favor Romney/Ryan. The usual FR Liberals better get some heavy medicines to keep them calm.
Here is a the latest polls from another leftie site.

Hey, does anyone know if attendance at tonight's session is"mandatory"?
"WASHINGTON, D.C. -- When GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney visited an Ohio coal mine this month to promote jobs in the coal industry, workers who appeared with him at the rally lost pay because their mine was shut down.
The Pepper Pike company that owns the Century Mine told workers that attending the Aug. 14 Romney event would be both mandatory and unpaid, a top company official said Monday morning in a West Virginia
radio interview.
A group of employees who feared they'd be fired if they didn't attend the campaign rally in Beallsville, Ohio, complained about it to WWVA radio station talk show host David Blomquist. Blomquist discussed their beefs on the air Monday with Murray Energy Chief Financial Officer Rob Moore.
Moore told Blomquist that managers "communicated to our workforce that the attendance at
the Romney event was mandatory, but no one was forced to attend." He said the company did not penalize no-shows."
http://www.cleveland.com/open/index.ssf/2012/08/coal_miners_lost_pay_when_mitt.html
Okay....so if you were told that attendance was "mandatory", would you assume there would be no penalty for not attending? As if losing a day's pay just so Mitt Romney could have a photo op wasn't penalty enough already? Just askin'......
This just keeps getting funnier.
JoAnne,
I couldn't believe it when I saw that yesterday!
Their definition of "mandatory" is as discombobulated as "legitimate"!
Now I understand why those miners standing behind Willard didn't look too happy!
PS: Thanks for using the cleveland "source".
When I posted it yesterday BrianB just about stroked out because it was from HuffPo! Didn't matter to him where the source originated!
JoAnnaSmith1
Actually it just keeps getting sadder. Any Republican President from Eisenhower backwards would disown what the Party has become. I have studied your history as have many who are not Americans, and we do so because we both love you and fear you.
Concern Citizen: " of course if you were tuned to NBC they only showed what would be in favor on the anointed one."
Okay, I'm confused.....are you saying that NBC didn't even show the speeches by Ann Romney and Chris Christie? Or are you saying that their speeches were "in favor of the annointed one"? Geez, I'm gonna have to go back and listen to them again!
And for about the nine millionth time today - if you or anyone else were actually interested in hearing what Artur Davis had to say, you could have watched it the same as I did - on PBS. You know, that other ultra-liberal network. They covered every word of it. And trust me, you didn't miss much. As memorable convention speeches by former Democrats now endorsing the Republican candidate go, it wasn't even in the same league as crazy Zell Miller's in 2004. Now that one was memorable!
That's because it's the same as Bush.
- Escalate in Afghanistan
- Increase Drone Attacks in Pakistan
- Expand Drone Attacks throughout the Middle East and East Africa, including the targeting of American Citizens
Instead of going back to the 50s, Romney wants to avoid the Obama economic policies implemented in Illinois and California and adopt the GOP economic model of Indiana, Ohio, NC, SC, Ohio, Wisconsin--wouldnt that be a good thing for us? Instead of attacking Romney for what you think bad might happen, can you honestly say the last 4 years have been good for us.
JoAnne and Feisty, the owner of that mine is none other than the owner of the Crandall Canyon Collapse a few years ago:
Crandall Canyon Mine collapse
Murray and his companies received national attention in August 2007 when six miners were trapped at the Crandall Canyon Mine in Utah, of which Murray Energy independent operating subsidiary UtahAmerican Energy had been a part-owner for 12 months. Prior to the collapse, the Crandall Canyon Mine had received only 64 violations and $12,000 in fines, magnitudes similar to other mines of this size in the United States.[3][10][11] He says that the safety violations were trivial and included violations such as not having enough toilet paper in the restroom.[3] However, some news agencies reported troubling violations at other of Murray's operations; CNN, for example, found that seven of Murray's 19 mines were underground and 4 of them had accident rates above the national average. CNN specifically cited Murray's Illinois Galatia mine, which had almost 3,500 safety citations in the prior two and a half years.[12]
Murray claims that the Crandall Canyon Mine collapse was triggered by a 3.9 magnitude earthquake, while government seismologists say the mine collapse was the cause of a coal mine bump.[13] Richard E. Stickler, the government's top mine safety official said "It was not -- and I repeat, it was not -- a natural occurring earthquake."[14]
It would seem he is a real peach of an employer
Feisty,
How's your job search coming along?
Posting like crazy as usual....you must enjoy sitting back and collecting govt assistance.
Spend less time on here and maybe you would have a job. Just a suggestion.
We already know Mitt's foreign policy,
Move more of his wealth into FOREIGN tax havens (to avoid taxes every patriotic American pays), move more jobs to FOREIGN countries, create more sweat shops in FOREIGN countries, and produce more blood diamonds there (in FOREIGN countries) to make more money to be deposited in FOREIGN (Swiss) banks.
I note that Caegar's comment was collapsed. His stupidity is not a valid reason. Let it shine like a beacon upon the face of the modern GOP. Who the @!$%# moved the Statue of Liberty to Mississippi?
Why would the GOP want to talk about foreign policy? Romney doesn't know anything about foreign policy. Ryan doesn't know anything about foreign policy.
Foreign policy is OWNED by the current President of the United States whose foreign policy moves have been intelligent and helped to repair our tarnished image around the world.
They sure as hell don't want to talk about that. AND...
They can't talk about the details of their domestic policy because that would be a campaign killer. The only domestic policy they have on the books is Ryan's and that's not going to fly with the American people.
"No mas pantelones."

Keep it classy Republicans!

OK Joanne, since I'm not a liberal i most be ignorant and stupid, etc, so please spare me the insults.
NBC, did not show theArtur Davis speech,
NBC, showed mostly white when there were black, latinos, young and old men and woman.
I recorded what FOX showed and it was totally a different environment.
Oh now, they have a picture on their website, I guess NBC has to save face.
Al - that WAS classy for Republicans!

my stupidity LOL. trying reading what you write sometime, youre bitter cuz i've used you as pinata. No, its because of you and that Hunnish Horde that love the first amendment so much. how is the whiney libtard saying, 'collapse cowards'?
No, if I were to make that assertion, I'd say something like it's because you claim Spanish as your first language but yet somehow cannot comprehend that the adjective goes after the noun. Of course, that's just one example.
TeeHee!
It's like a sowna in here...

Why does this not surprise me. Foreign policy largely had been moved to the sidelines, by the GOP, for many years .....

you admit you are an unfeeling brute of a liberal, good to know.
The only foreign policy experience Romney has is that disgusting practice of dunking the dead. Seems even the gold digger Ann has no respect for her own father, attempting to convert the avowed atheist to Mormonism after he passed away.

Nice to know that your wife is an unfeeling brute. I wonder what made her so? Give it up Caegar, you are an amateur.
Concern: "OK Joanne, since I'm not a liberal i most be ignorant and stupid, etc, so please spare me the insults"
I did not say you were ignorant or stupid. YOU said that NBC was only showing what would be favorable to Obama. Since I'm assuming they - at the very least - showed both Mrs. Romney's speech and Chris Christie's in their entirety - neither of which I recall being even remotely favorable to President Obama - I was simply asking how you came to that conclusion. And since you watched Fox and I watched PBS, why should either one of us care what NBC did or didn't show anyway?
P.S. - They're no doubt going to skip showing a number of speeches at the Democratic convention next week too - will you be equally as insulted when that happens?
Thanks. This is anecdotal, but I work in the sales function (not a salesman). We sell to other enterprises. Don't see a lot of deals closing right now so it could be a bad quarter. Looks like a lot of companies are sitting on their hands until the election is over.
The Administration should call for a 6 month extension of all the tax cuts and for a 6 month delay in sequestration. If nothing else it will help the President politically to lift some of the uncertainty and it would look like a principled compromise to allow the next Administration, whoever it is, to start fresh.
If he does nothing, then I think the economic numbers that come out just before the election will be bad to worse and that will not help him politically.
Seeking Sanity--like you would know what classy is? Dont you want to say something about the intelligence, low information or idiotic nature of anyone you disagree with on here? Coming from someone who refused to defend Obama's economic policy proposals and refused to engage in substantive debate and you are now going to define class for us? Do you really think Jen exhibits class in her starting post every day? Seriously, read her posts line by line over the last two weeks and explain to me how she exhibited "class". Dont tell me that she is just responding to those classless GOP thugs because class rises above the gutter now doesnt it?
Romney is really staring to remind me of President Nixon.
I was in my middle 20's when, watergate happened.
Romney just reminds me of Nixon.
Really? What about Fast and Furious. Solyndra? You do know Obama is president not Romney (yet).
Kirk, Seeking is a coffee house popin jay, not even theory, lacks facts and substance. Why do you think the pompous jester touts its so called intelligence and class. It has none. Unfortunately Seeking is like Fisty and cant see beyond name calling. I've learned only fighting fire with fire is their communication style. Seeking debate now that is funny. Next Kim H will be telling us it is the captain of the debate team LOL.
Republican foreign policy is easy. Start another WAR! It is good for the economy and business. Iraq, Afghanistan, McCain trying to talk us into Libya, McCain trying to talk us into Iran, McCain trying to talk us into Syria! War= republicans! It creates jobs!

I was wondering if the Fed moved to devalue the Dollar in hopes of making exports a tad more enticing. Not that the rest of the world is in a position to buy, but hey, they can but try. I am talking about the Fed meeting this week in case anyone is not aware.
I don't think he'll do anything this close to the election simply because of appearances. However, the market has priced in some QE3 so if he does nothing expect the stock market to drop a little. Over the longer term he'll print more money. Whether that causes the dollar to drop is debatable as the the euro and the yen are in no great shape either. If it drops against the yuan who cares, that's only good.
Something that is crazy that was thrown around at the RNC this week was some form of return to the gold standard. That does have depression written all over it.
So, Caesar, are you implying that you have never resorted to "schoolyard" name calling? My memory may be fading due to my advanced age. But, I do remember that the genesis of the "fast and furious" program began under President Bush. And Solyndra is a total red herring. The government makes investments in businesses/technologies all the time. You win some, and you lose some, that's how innovation happens. But I guess you only want innovation that is a sure thing.
If you want a "guarantee" that the Fed is investing in a technology that is going to be the "next-best-thing" you stifle innovation, and it is innovation that has kept this country in the forefront while education is under attack!
constantly but i never said i was better. poor seeking thinks its an elitist snob. Difference is I am willing to have a civil debate minus the name calling. Seeking not so much why do you think Kirk called it out on the carpet.
Different program under bush but hey when did Fast and Furious happen? certainly not bush. Solyndra also plugged under bush, revived under Obama and completely disregarded everything (crony capitalism). Sorry Mike, not everything is a red herring. The time for blame has come and gone
Alan, NJ
Agreed, the Obama administration inherited the Bush Administration and if he wins the Romney Admin will inherit from Obama. The issue runs deeper than the sycophant argument as to who is to blame. One could start with the ease of rampant credit married to cheep offshore labour.
cat: yeah, I pretty much have to go with Reagan, whose political survival depended on loosening credit for the middle class, so nobody could see how destructive his 'trickle-down' economic theories were for them. As far as I'm concerned, Obama didn't inherit the Bush economy, he inherited the inevitable consequences of Reagan's successful attacks on the New Deal labor and market regulations.
Just to correct the record...he was a missionary in France during the Vietnam war, which he did support (as long as he didn't have to go).
Remember "Je m'appelle, Mitt Romney." OR
"It was not my desire to go off and serve in Vietnam" (circa 1994) OR
"I longed in many respects to actually be in Vietnam and be representing our country there and in some ways it was frustrating" (circa 2007)
Well, which is it Mitt?

It's been years since America has had the kind of foreign policy successes we've seen during the Obama administration. Secretary Hillary Clinton has been a powerhouse diplomat.
War on Women - Speaker: James Carville - Theme: "Trailer Trash"
War on Dogs - Speaker: B Obama - Wait, no, that won't work.
War on the Deficit/Debt - No Democrat qualified to speak on this one
War on Unemployment - ditto
War on Afghanistan - B.Obama - Theme: "We'll stay there, until we leave"
War on Illegal Gun Running in Mexico - Eric Holder resident expert
War on the Unborn - Planned Parenthood has two 6 hour prime time speaking slots for this one
Osama bin Laden sleeps with the fishes. How's that for "execution"?
Amy - well said. President Obama made a wise choice in appointing Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. She has done a great job and will continue to during the next 4 years - then on to being President!
WCA - we won't have to talk about wars in Syria and Iran. Those are being planned by the GOP and we're not letting that happen!
JAS - nope the trailer trash is attending the GOP convention. You ARE there, right?
Obama/Biden 2012
More sauce for the goose. Leave it to First Read to post an unwarranted story... AGAIN! Gotta feed the hungry liberals... They need more and more nonsense to post about.
Hey DaNoid - so does Saddam Hussein. He's been with the fishes longer... and executed by his OWN people. He wasn't murdered by a renegade president.
JAS1 - Now that was funny.......
Hey Noid, according to a Seal who was there, Bin Laden was already dead when we arrived.
Go figure.....
Amy said: It's been years since America has had the kind of foreign policy successes we've seen during the Obama administration. Secretary Hillary Clinton has been a powerhouse diplomat.
Oh begosh Amy... tell me you aren't up Obama's behind... how about some successful examples of foreign policy by the blamer in chief.
WCA - "Bin Laden was already dead..." You're a damned liar. Your ignorance is overwhelming and yet you continue to post drivel a first grader wouldn't post.
Don't you think it makes the leadership you're touting really bad when you have to lie the way you do to support them?
You're a total loser and a pathetic little man!

Amy, please in lighten us on all those foreign policy successes during Obama's administration?
Not according to Illinois governor Pat Quinn:
These pols from Illinois get really off track without a teleprompter. Can't even keep their talking points straight.
sfcret
bin laden, Libya, Egypt, Hugo Chavez, Mexican presidente belittles America as Obama and Demotards cheer.
Obama can't stand to have anyone upstage him. The narcissist in chief has to come out with more lies about things he doesn't understand... why do I say he doesn't understand them? Clearly because it takes his lies to try to cover for the 4 years Obama has sat on medicare and budgets that have wracked up trillions in debt for this country.
Obama is the first president to ever campaign through the convention of the opposition. I guess liberals feel it's in good form though. Liberals respect nothing except other liberals.
Hey DaNoid - so does Saddam Hussein. He's been with the fishes longer... and executed by his OWN people. He wasn't murdered by a renegade president.
Hey Brian -
Are you saying that the killing of Bin Laden was somehow unjust? Or are you just upset that the incompetent Bush couldn't get the job done?
And while you're comparing hussein to BinLaden, under O, we got BinLaden without losing a man. Getting Hussein cost us about 5000.....not to mention the cost in money...

I believe that Bin Laden was buried at sea. Do try to keep up.
The "renegade president" has yet to get more than 4,000 of our troops killed.

When Carville finishes, they'll bring out Billy Clinton. He'll be talking about Family Values and Bill will describe his personal journey for how he has respected women all his life.
.
.
It's gonna be a short speech.
No GT. What I am saying is that Saddam Hussein was executed too... but somehow liberals fail to even recognize that. The Butcher of Baghdad was put to sleep by trial and executed by his own people. Justice was served. We don't even know if it was Osama Bin Laden that was taken out. Most of Seal team 6 is dead.. OBL's body was tossed overboard in the middle of the sea... so there's no REAL proof. Given Obama's record at complete transparency I don't hold a lot of faith in anything Obama says. I'm not a liberal that tries to dive up Obama's butt everytime he speaks.
JAS - and yet Bill Clinton is still HEADS ABOVE the garbage the far right has!
BrianB - I have to laugh at the denial of you right wingers. See even the Republican senators who saw the photos of bin Laden agree it was him. You just keep up your denying. It will do you no good!
You're right you're not a liberal. You're a radical far righter who is so far up the butt of Romney you can see out his mouth!
Obama/Biden 2012
JoAnna - what do you think about this... Given the way liberals say republicans are holding a war against women... do you think republican men should live up to the high moral standards set by Bill Clinton, John Edwards and Ted Kennedy? I mean those men really
respected, honored, held to high esteem, used women for what they wanted...Funny how the GOP posters' criticism of Clinton is solely based on character attacks.
Do you really want to bring "morality" into this? Because the left could counter with Newt Gingrich, or an episode of foot tapping in a men's airport bathroom, etc.
"... Given the way liberals say republicans are holding a war against women... do you think republican men should live up to the high moral standards set by Bill Clinton, John Edwards and Ted Kennedy?"
Nah. Just the standards of "Diaper Dave" Vitter, John Ensign and Mark Sanford!
I have to admit... liberals make a sport out of pointing out their hypocracy. I never realized shooting fish in a barrel was such a sport!
That all comes from good marketing: "Bill Clinton, the other kind of garbage."
WCA -
Did you even read your own link? The SEAL does not say Osama Bin Laden was dead when they arrived, he said that on their way up the stairs someone stuck their head out of a doorway so they shot him. It turned out to be Osama Bin Laden.
Maybe not a liar, definitely a poor reader.
Paul Ryan - The Deficit? I Built That!
we wouldnt know since they stopped that ticker on every major news network after Obamao got elected.
You mean like Mark Sanders, Ted Haggerty, Newt Gingrich, Larry Craig, Mark Foley
I can go all day, sir petty officer brianb
Oh wait, my bad,...some of those men didn't just use women,...they used men and boys, too. Even BETTER!
psst. sfcret - I guess getting Osama bin laden isn't a success? We know it wasn't a priority for W; but the rest of the country was pretty keen on it.
Hey Clara Bin Laden was a success. So was Saddam. Ok now the tally's even your turn.
BrianB -
There was a helicopter crash in Afghanistan that tragically resulted in the death of 22 members of DEVGRU commonly known as SEAL Team 6. None of them were involved in the mission that resulted in the death of Osama Bin Laden, however.
Auntie Fascist said: The "renegade president" has yet to get more than 4,000 of our troops killed.
No? Do you know how many troops have died under Obama's presidency? Do you? Do you have any idea how many troops have died in Afghanistan and other theaters of operation since Obama became commander in chief? I'll bet you don't even have a clue... why? Because liberals aren't keeping count like they were with Bush... simply because they are hypocrites. Every troop that dies is a tragedy.
1,369 troops have died under Obama. Justify that in a war that will achieve zero results Fascist!!! Go on, justify it!
Come on TNESVOl, try again.
Read the story slowly.....
"he was directly behind a point man going up the stairs in the pitch-black hallway. Near the top, he said, he heard two shots, but the book doesn’t make it clear who fired them. "
"only to find the man crumpled on the floor in a pool of blood with a hole visible on the right side of his head"
Man you guys are easy to tweak...at least Noid didn't take the bait.....
So WCA, what do you have to say about being proved a liar?
Piich black? Never served did you? Are you aware that this generation of night vision eyewear turns even the lowest light into daylight?
So not only a liar but a dumbass too! LMFAO at you
BB the result will be same as it was before US or USSR or the Ottomans, Parthians, Greeks and any one else. Afghan is a shlthole and always has been.
TNSEVOL - Although I would like to believe you are correct and the "official" was being truthful, any hopes of ever finding out for sure is lost as this is a very secret and guarded group. No one except the men themselves on the mission will ever know for sure. And hell they may not even identify them to each other for fear of getting captured and someone spilling the beans. Although, with their training, I think they would die before dishonoring themselves and their unit. WE have to accept it for what it is and therefore, it is moot either way.
Where are the photos TNSEVOL. And you are wrong about the killed members of Seal Team 6. Several of them were involved in the OBL operation... we have conflicting information. 31 died in the crash most were involved with the OBL mission.
This was from MSN on Aug 6, 2011.
Gomer,
I'm sure Ames will in lighten you! lol
See TNSEVOl, the thing is, it doesn't matter.
Bin Laden is dead and it happened while Obama is President so he gets to take credit for it.
You really need to stop trying to defend him for something he needs no defense for.
What you really ought to be trying to defenend is all the other things that have happened while he has been President - 8% unemployment, horrible GDP, 5 trillion additonal debt, etc.
He gets credit for all of that as well.
Hey Frank, how am I a liar again? Dude said when they got there he had a hole in the side of his head. In technical terms that means "Dead".
So Frank, who fired the shots? If it was the guy (the only guy) directly in front of me I sure as hell would have known if he shot.
"1,369 troops have died under Obama. Justify that in a war that will achieve zero results Fascist!!! Go on, justify it!"
Uh, just who started the Afghan invasion and then got his (limited) attention diverted to the bright, shiny object that was Iraq?
A chorus of "blaming Bush again" bombast in 3, 2, 1...............
Clara - So the point is... both sides disrespect women... Liberals are not the moral equivocators telling everyone that republicans have a war on women. The entire point about this made up war is moot... considering infractions occur on the democrat side as well. This wasn't a quid pro quo argument. It was laid out to show the shining example of how democrats make something from nothing since they are just as guilty of what they claim the other side does.
And yet Mitt Romney's proposals will increase the deficit by over $300B. Don't bother responding to this assertion, however. Just continue to ignore and deflect.
We all read your post WCA. I know how you love to deny, but geez, even to deny your own post? Like I said, LMFAO at you.

Uh huh... in 4 years, Obama couldn't have withdrawn our troops? 4 FRIGGEN YEARS! It appears to me that Obama is just as thick with the spoils of war as you claim Bush was.
Iraq did have positive results... 25 million people were freed from the hanging trees of Saddam Hussein and his 2 thug sons. What is Obama's objective now that he's progressing FORWARD in Afghanistan? Do you even know the mission there Fascist? Yet you support the deaths of those 1, 369 troops.
Do you know no limits to your hypocracy?
BrianB - Liberals respect nothing except other liberals.
Brian you have no proof that liberals are like that.
By the way I didn't watch a second of the RNC as I'm sure most Americans didn't either. It is bad when you open your sales pitch to the country and the biggest story coming out the gate is a scandal. I thought the GOP were supposed to be welcoming or something.
If I were say something like that about your party I would need proof. Hmmm....
.
______
Here's a story from last night's GOP convention that Republicans could no doubt live without as they make their pitch to the American public this week. CNN reports:
wow you attempt to mock someone who didnt use the right word with another misspelling
i believe it is enlighten. FISTY YOU INCONTEMPTIBLE HARPY YOU FAIL
Dick Cheney accused the Obama administration of "dithering"while Libya erupted, but darned if President Obama's strategy didn't remove America's number one enemy without our having to put troops on the ground. That's called the power of diplomacy.
And the cherry on top was seeing this sign on the Arab street:

Xabre said: And yet Mitt Romney's proposes will increase the deficit by over $300B. Don't bother responding to this assertion, however. Just continue to ignore and deflect.
Again, you post nonsense without any backup Xabre. You hear some snippet of an off odd soundbite from a liberal member of the main stream media and you take it to the bank. Only problem with your deposit is... there's nothing there to deposit... again you come up short in facts and long on imagination.
CA
Hardly even,...Obama didn't spend a trillion dollars on a false premise and go after the WRONG guy. Saddam wasn't involved in 9/11 and was a DISTRACTION to the real mission. (PS. the typo was a direct quote, there CA - catch up, would you?)
brianb
Dems also don't stand up and claim to be the party of FAMILY VALUES. Dems believe what you do with mutual consent is your own damn business. They aren't trying to legislate Marriage and Gays and all of the other garbage your side things equals SMALL government.
The only thing SMALL about Republican Government is the Tax inflows - everything else is ALL up in others' business. And THAT is the hypocrisy.
Yeah, free to live a life dodging car-bombs.
Careful Frank!
WCA is on the verge of full blown victim mode!
He has a hard time dealing with it, when called out on the carpet for his BS!
Actually, I take it off Mitt Romney's own campaign website and census data. But of course Mitt Romney's own campaign website must be a bias source, right?
i'll take dodging car bombs than sarin gas being dropped.
double post stupid FR
I guess that would depend if you're a Kurd or not.
I hear you Red. Pisses me off how he and the others play that game, this is what I said but this is what I meant.
It went from "...dead when we arrived..." to " going up the stairs in the pitch bacak...heard gunshots..."
He sure has the game plan down pat.
"What is Obama's objective now that he's progressing FORWARD in Afghanistan? Do you even know the mission there Fascist?"
"Do you know no limits to your hypocracy?"
What was the mission to begin with? There IS a withdrawal date. Do you know no limits to your mispelling? It's "hypocrisy". Try spell check sometime.
who gives a crap about the spelling you knew what he meant. Progressing Forward in Afghan and what destination would that be, more dead service men and women. Stupid facists.

You are right.... Liberals respect nobody but themselves... they will eat their own if there's a disagreement. Thanks for the correction.
Mushroom Cloud Condi!
Bomb, bomb, bomb.... McCain!
There it is folks!
President Obama withdrew troops from Iraq, an action which McCain was convinced would be a disaster. Secretary Clinton talked the Arab states into deposing Qaddafy without our troops, something Condi never atempted, and Cheney called "dithering."
I wonder, if in the privacy of their own homes, the Republicans ever admit they were wrong, and Obama is right.
Amy - Another lie by the Obama Administration. Obama was not responsible for the withdraw of troops from Iraq. (yes it happened on his watch but no real thanks to him). Obama wanted to leave American soldiers in Iraq but was denied by the Iraqi Government. Obama had NO CHOICE but to comply with the Agreement between President Bush and the Iraqi Government. If there had not been a hang up on civil/criminal jurisdiction over Americans we would still be in Iraq.
As for deposing of Qaddafi, that was mostly done by NATO with most funding and weapons (missiles) coming from the U.S. BTW, what is the difference between Libya and Syria? Further I am sure Obama would not have intervened in Libya had the Russians & Chinese vetoed the UN Resolution allowing military action. Something Russia has said they were lied to and is one reason they will not allow the Security Council to authorize the same action in Syria.
Now lets talk about Afghanistan, OBL has been dead over a year now, and we are still in Afghanistan. Remember Obama surged 30,000 troops into Afghanistan. In the past two months 60 American military personnel have been killed by Afghanistani police and soldiers that the U.S. is arming and training. More American service men have been killed in Afghanistan during Obama's 3.7 yrs as President than in the 6 or 7 years under President Bush. Why are we still in Afghanistan, OBL and most of his Lieutenants have been killed, the main reason we went to Afghanistan in the first place.
But, if it happened on Obama's watch, he gets to take credit. Just like Obama takes credit for the $6 trillion is new deficits/debt on his watch, the now 1.7% GDP growth on his watch, the constant 8%+ unemployment on his watch, the 50 million people on food stamps on his watch, the 48% of people receiving a federal check on his watch, the 23 million unemployed/under-employed on his watch.
Or are we still sticking to the "It's Bush's fault!" theme for those things?
This is very correct chilled! The GOP/RNC "Speculator and Chief" would put the "Chump-Change-Cheney" Foreign Policy Team back into place in the State Department, and at the Defense Department. The "Chump-Change-Cheney Foreign Policy Team is "Politically" waiting quietly to begin their war against Iran. Now "Romulian" proved when he was in London that he has NO CLUE of how to Presentially Act around foreign leaders. The "Chump-Change Cheney" Foreign Policy Team will be closely watched by "Darth Cheney" himself. Their goal will be to stir up tensions between the US and Iran. "Chump-Change-Cheney" is also responsible for the following. 1. Crimes against humanity. 2. Starting illegal wars for profit. 3. The destruction of foreign cultures in the name of oil profits. 4. Covering up all materials that went against the "Chump-Change Cheney" War Policy of "Shock and Aw." That is fact!
The GOP/RNC "Speculator and Chief" is not Presidential at all on Foreign Policy. He is very uneducated in this very critical area, and other foreign leaders know this. "Romulian Romney" can easily be taked advantage of by unfriendly forces around the world. The GOP/RNC "Speculator and Chief" is listening too much to the Tea Beggers in Congress who are dumb/dangerous in the area of Foreign Policy. The Tea Beggers are mindless isolationalists, who believe in a strong military and uneducated soldiiers to fill the ranks later. That is fact!
You got it Progressive....
Afterall, war criminals are hunted for decades after their atrocities, perhaps there's a chance Bush/Cheney will pay for their crimes!
The Oil Speculators on Wall Street, and the Speculators that work at Bain Capital. Want a war with Iran, and they want to cause saber rattling in the Persian Gulf. The Oil Speculators want to control the worlds oil supply, and sell it back on the Free Market at their price. "Chump-Change-Cheney" has alot to lose if Iran is not taken out quickly. Now what a better choice to get this done better than the GOP/RNC "Speculator and Chief." That is fact!
Progressive, if you are worried about our dependence on oil from the Middle east, then support the pipeline and domestic oil supplies...of course, you wont comprehend this..
"Oil speculators" are your bogeyman....how lame
Progressive - see, no matter how much he's told, Bob doesn't understand that oil from the Keystone Pipeline would belong to Canada (their pipeline) and they would sell it on the world market - not ours!
You just can't fix stupid!
Obama/Biden 2012
so says the living proof
So stop talking.
I am far more concerned about our water tables.
As usual the Myopic Party (Republicans) never seem to address the most imminent threats.
presumably because they deny science in any form?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogallala_Aquifer
Here is some econ science, the most imminent threat is America turning into Greece. Funny libtards only know how to spend money frivolously
Source: Rising Debt, high unemployment, poor GDP
Caesar Augustus- the FRlibs have lost it. The convention was just too much for them and now they are running damage control (insults to them) to save the day.
Clara KCMO - I was told once not to use wikepedia because it was not reliable. I forget which one of your clan told me. He was correct, so I'm going to tell you now. Don't use that as a reference, use Fox better. LOL
Judging by your post, resident expert on "nuevos socialistas", you're the one that has "lost it".
Xabre - I don't even have to ask who made that post!!! LMAO!!! The idiot is still posting her drivel????
Obama/Biden 2012
In my eyes, she has pretty much lost any credibility whatsoever.
Xabre - in EVERYONE's eyes. She's just a joke!
blackcatwhitecat
BCWC, I stopped watching FOX, because it made me feel like I was living in Venezuela. Fox televises all his speeches. You tune in and see. Actually you should open your horizons and look at different networks and not just NBC.
NBC, did this on purpose. By the way, did you guys get permision from that frustrated red Beast? What a lost case you and your clan are. I see you can't live without BLATINA.
"And so guess what's a big Thursday theme of next week's Democratic convention in Charlotte?
According to the Boston Globe, it will be national security"
The Dems must have diversion from the lack of jobs and failed economic policy..
Even for the zealous radical feminists, three days of screeching about abortion on demand will be enough.
Along with zealot Sandra Fluke, a lawyer making $150,000 a year, claiming that the Constitution requires a minimum wage worker to pay her $10 a month for birth control pills..
Gosh. Nothing on Romney's tax returns? You have to figure that one would have filled at least an entire night of programming.
Maybe they'll drag Osama's dead rotting corpse on stage. Best not do it when Pelosi is around, some people might get them confused.
Big Bob VA
it is stunning the volumes you deliberately either misunderstand or misrepresent to get your 'message' out to the sheep.
An insurance PLAN that I pay for should have the MEDICAL coverage I desire. Any organization receiving FEDERAL funds should follow the Medical and Prescription standards that effect ALL health issues EQUALLY and without bias to religion, race, sexual orientation, etc.
Man, you've really become the resident jackass of asinine assumptions and rhetoric. And for the longest time, I figured you and Bill and little bobbie were more than willing to let JAS and nojo carry the low information meme so you could act above it all. But alas, getting down with the trolls is now your happy place. Good on you! Wear it LOUD and PROUD.
Hey Repubes - Why didn't you invite our great previous President,"W", to the Convention? Do any of you have the balls to try to answer that question?
Nah GT, we are just going to revel in the thought that all you women loving libs are having the worlds most famous womanizer as your keynote speaker.
GT - they would have to rent or borrow balls. You KNOW that!
Bill Clinton didn't force any women to do any thing, it was their choice! The GOP is trying to force their ideas onto women and leaving us with no choice. Anyways, I thought according to the GOP, men were allowed to have sex, just not women.
Because the theme for Romney's campaign is "Forward". It wouldn't make any sense to drag old fossils from days gone by to the convention with that as your theme. You'd want to have new forward looking people with fresh ideas be the focus of all the attention. You know, new Hope, an opportunity for Change.
Oh, wait . . . . .
The President has had many Foreign Policy victories. The killing of Bin Laden, and the continued destruction of the terrorists operating in Pakistan. Not involving into another war that our nation cannot afford. The American Military has been badly battered by the illegal "Bush War" in Iraq. The fact that "Brainless Bush" never finished the mission in Afganistan is a little fact that the GOP/RNC want all citizens to forget. The President picked a great Secretary Of State in Mrs. Clinton, wbo has brought a sense of true justice to US Foreign Policy. That is fact!
Give credit to Obama for killing Osama.
But if you do, you also have to give credit to Bush for toppling the entire fundamentalist theocracy of the Taliban in Afghanistan. Their iron grip on the country was brutal, especially against women. Bush changed that.
Changing the entire government of a country is, by any measure, a far more significant accomplishment than killing one aging straggler from the organization that President Bush defeated. Then Obama crowed that it was the "high point in my presidency!"
In fairness, I agree with him – it was the high point in his otherwise-failed presidency.
I give bush credit for removing the taliban. Of course, bush flubbed nation building in afghanistant by IMMEDIATELY diverting attention, money, and resources to iraq, a foolish war.
BTW, "changing the entire government of a country" isn't that hard of an achievement in this case. Using military force he removed them, which considering the relative military strength, was hardly difficult. The hard part WOULD HAVE BEEN putting in place a sustainable government, and that hasn't happened yet.
Kannin, first you have to be sure it has been toppled. Has it?
Yes Frank, it has. The following quote from http://www.afghan-web.com/woman/ should help enlighten you:
"During the rule of the Taliban (1996 - 2001), women were treated worse than in any other time or by any other society. They were forbidden to work, leave the house without a male escort, not allowed to seek medical help from a male doctor, and forced to cover themselves from head to toe, even covering their eyes. Women who were doctors and teachers before, suddenly were forced to be beggars and even prostitutes in order to feed their families.
Since the fall of the Taliban in late 2001, many would agree that the political and cultural position of Afghan women has improved substantially. The recently adopted Afghan constitution states that "the citizens of Afghanistan - whether man or woman- have equal rights and duties before the law". So far, women have been allowed to return back to work, the government no longer forces them to wear the all covering burqa, and they even have been appointed to prominent positions in the government."
I sure hope that is the case but only time will tell. Words on paper don't carry a lot of weight there.
Obama has already hung himself in the area of foreign policy. His amateur, fumbling attempts at diplomacy have been an embarrassment to himself and to the US.
First, he publicly and loudly affirmed his support for a Palestinian state, even going so far as to demand that Israel should return to their pre-1967 borders! This had the predictable effect of encouraging the Palestinians to seek their own separate state. Then, he had to order his Ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice, to veto any UN resolution that might create an actual Palestinian state, in order to salvage the Jewish vote.
Most presidents (not all) have had sense enough to be consistent in the messages they send to the international community. Reversals, like Obama's, only create an atmosphere of uncertainty and distrust. One can easily imagine how Obama's blundering could have started a violent increase in Middle East hostilities.
one can imagine anything. its easier than talking about what really happened sometimes. :)
as far as the 1967 borders, it was hardly a "demand" as YOU put it, and also its been US policy for a long time. lol. "
President Barack Obama on Thursday made official the long-held but rarely stated U.S. support for a future Palestinian state based on borders that existed before the 1967 Middle East war.
In the past, the United States has unofficially backed a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict based on the borders in place prior to the war 44 years ago in which Israel seized the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Golan Heights and Sinai Peninsula.
In a major speech Thursday, Obama became the first president to formally endorse the policy, but he also acknowledged the need for modifications through the negotiating process due to conditions on the ground.
"
In a video from a meeting of the G-20 nations in London in 2009, Obama is shown bending deeply from the waist while shaking hands with King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, who remains erect.
London newspapers in particular disapproved of the gift exchange between Prime Minister Brown and Obama when Brown visited the White House in 2009. It's true that Obama gave Brown a set of 25 American classic movies — that later turned out to work only on DVD players on this side of the Atlantic — and that Brown gave Obama a pen holder that was made from wood from a Royal Navy ship that conducted anti-slavery missions — wood from a sister ship was used to make the Oval Office desk.
"America will not turn our backs on the legitimate Palestinian aspiration for dignity, opportunity and a state of their own," (Cairo Speech). And then Obama instructed his Ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice, to veto any UN resolution that might actually create a Palestinian state.
yawn. "President Bush announced his support for a Palestinian state, opening the way for United Nations Security Council Resolution 1397,[16] supporting a two-state solution."
I can't believe you are posting nonsense about gifts. lol. bored? :)
why shouldn't the Palestinians have there own state. the Israelis are mostly of European descent and were given the state due to guilt over ww2 and since then the have constantly been aggressivley expanding and building on palestinian land with the backing of the US and others.
Here's a story from last night's GOP convention that Republicans could no doubt live without as they make their pitch to the American public this week. CNN reports:
At least they were feeding them. If you can get a few peanuts from Republicans, you're doing pretty well. Won't that make them dependent on "handouts"?
Why would 2 idiots throwing peanuts be an issue for the Republicans?
Current TV host David Shuster tweeted late Tuesday night: “GOP attendee ejected for throwing nuts at African American camera woman + saying ‘This is how we feed animals.’”
Disgusting behavior but with how dirty politics have gotten today I wouldn't be surprised if it was a democratic plant.
I don't think it would matter even if it was a plant. The point is it's just so believable that it makes their inclusiveness panderings laughable.
It is only believable because you choose to think that everyone with an R behind their name are all racists, etc.... whatever. Common sense people in the middle do not stereotype entire groups of people. That is the very definition of bigotry. There are extremists on both sides.
Tom,
Here is the entire story;
If I thought it was funny, I would laugh at all of the conspiracy theorists claiming these PIGS were plants!
Not a one of them has called out this vile behavior, as you can see they're too busy making excuses!
Only speaking from my personal experiences...
I did say it was disgusting behaviour. Not making excuses for anyone but in my own fair city, we had a Democratic councilwoman urinate in a trash can during a council meeting to get her point across. As I said there are extremists on both sides, I just don't judge all people in a group by the actions of some.
From what has been read and researched about the Keystone Pipeline SeekingSanity is very correct. it is owned by Canada, and all of it's oil would be sold in the World Market. Not just in the US Market, and the Environmental Reports that have been research show that this pipeline would poison all water resources in 5 States. So what country would be responsible for any clean-up that will be needed? So Canada would get all the oil profits, and the US Tax Payer would have to pay to clean up their huge mess. Now since the pipeline is Canadian. Why would Canadian Oil Pipeline Corporations hire American Pipeline Workers? They would NOT! All of the Pipeline Workers would have to be Canadians working for their Canadian Oil Pipeline Corporations. So no American Jobs will be created by this pipeline at all. The huge possibilities of huge Environmental destrucion caused by the Pipeline must not be ignored. Thus far the issue of this very dangerous pipeline has been well read, researched, and comprehended. Thank you for your concern Bob in Virginia.
The Republicans don't really want to talk about foreign policy because it might remind people of Romney's little botched trip overseas. Where he was anything but diplomatic.
In terms of foreign policy, the GOP has been smeared by the fiasco in iraq and the botched nation building in afghanistan. Focusing on foreign policy, with mitt's jingoistic-sounding positions on iran, isn't going to play that well with independents, who (rightfully so) fear another GOP middle east fiasco.
Where can we start another war?
We've almost defeated science.
President Obama is very professional, knows his facts, listens to his Secretary Of State, and is very Presidential. Now the leaders of the world do respect President Obama, and the leaders of Russia deeply respect the thoughts of President Obama. Putin of Russia has made it clear that President Obama is intelligent, strong, and is not afraid to pull the trigger on any nation that violates his rules for "Humanity." Now the President is intelligent enough to understand that Foreign Policy must be caring, flexible, and always communicative. President Obama knows that making up facts, and not be able to comprehend all material brought to him by the CIA or FBI is dumb. Now "Brainless Bush" was NOT intelligent enough to understand these very common sense ideas. North Korea, and Iran are NOT going to make this US President upset, and they understand that this President will crush them. Just ask Bin Laden! Oh. He is very much dead! President Obama's Foreign Policy seems simple and nonresponsive on the surface however, never judge a book by it's cover America. This President has many Aces up his sleeves, and all foreigh leaders have finally figured this out. The terrorists of the world are praying and very much hoping that "Romulian Romney" wins the US Election in 2012. They already view the GOP/RNC "Speculator and Chief" as a major flip-flopper, personally weak, unable to make correct decisions, and very incompetent. The terrorist of the world watched the GOP/RNC "Speculator and Chief" in London. That is fact!
Consider the Obama foreign affairs record.
Obama's failed personal effort to bring the 2016 Olympics to Chicago.
Obama's failed personal effort to negotiate a climate-change deal at Copenhagen in 2009.
Obama's failed efforts to strike a nuclear deal with Iran that year and this year.
Obama's failed effort to improve America's public standing in the Muslim world with the now-forgotten Cairo speech.
Obama's failed reset with Russia.
Obama's failed effort to strong-arm Israel into a permanent settlement freeze.
Obama's failed (if half-hearted) effort to maintain a residual U.S. military force in Iraq.
Obama's failed efforts to cut deals with the Taliban and reach out to North Korea.
Obama's failed effort to win over China and Russia for even a symbolic U.N. condemnation of Syria's Bashar Assad.
Sounds like Assad is a Democrat... evil and living in denial.
lol, sounds like you are a biased partisan hack.
PS - you forgot to accuse obama of being a commie!
The question is not whether he is but which kind of communist is Obama? A Leninist, a Stalinist, a Trotskyist, a Maoist, a Titoist?
since you are, no doubt, an expert on mythical accusations against dems, i'm sure you can answer. lol.
which kind of commie is born in kenya? :)
Based on our experience with Dear Leader Barak Hussein Obama it would be a godless Muslim commie :o)
Martha - your post of 16.2 shows you to be an ignorant buffoon! Don't need to say any more!
Obama/Biden 2012
godless muslim commie? excellent, fox news requires at least 3 lies about obama before you get paid. :)
SS: people like martha provide free entertainment here. They actually take themselves seriously when they post fox talking points. Its quite amusing to make fun of them. :)
I'm surprised you got the "godless Muslim commie" joke... good for you.
Seriously, Obama is somewhere left of a Social Democrat very close to being a full fledged socialist.
It is very likely that Obama is an atheist... his mother was one.
Although, as the son of a Muslim man, a persuasive case can be made that Obama is (or at least once was) a Muslim. Obama's statement describing Muezzin's call to prayer as “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.” doesn't help people believe he isn't a Muslim.
Obama's attendance at "Reverend" Wright's racist "Black Liberation Theology" "church" sure as heck doesn't make him a Christian.
Who really knows what Obama's true views on God really are?
Martha - just like mine and yours, Obama's views on God are his own. You DO know we have a separation of church and state, right???
You're beyond stupid - you're stupid and you shout it at the top of your lungs!
Obama/Biden 2012
The only unfortunate thing about Obamas victory in november is we will have to hear all the whinning and lies from the right for another 4 years.....
And I am alittle confused, is he a commie, a socialist or a facist this week? I havent got the memo from the rnc yet.
Seriously NBC? Stop embarrassing yourself. In '08 a rookie .3 term senator with a community organizer back ground got elected president and you want to make foreign policy an issue now??? ROMNEY/RYAN 2012!
The GOP/Romney really have no foreign policy. It basically is: piss off China, Ignore Europe and support Israel with American tax dollars. But then again they really have no domestic policy except say whatever is opposite of what Obama says and blame the recession on him.
The republicans are living in denial. They're about as relevant as a dinosaur.
Piss off China? More like...here China, here's some jobs.
You are very correct Iowa-Guy! The GOP/RNC "Speculator and Chief" does not know how to even comprehend diplomacy, and proved that he does not know how to Presidentially proceed with diplomacy. That is fact! In London the "Romulian" made America look weak, indecisive, and very isolationalist in nature. He truely was dumb and dangerous to the safety of our nation. He proved that the areas of all Foreign Policy will be handled by the "Chump-Change-Cheney" Foreign Policy Team. Gee! America how did that go last time??
Just a thought, other then those people a NBC or MSNBC does anyone really believe that foreign policy is in the top 10 issues that faced this nation? So let get back to what really is important to Americans today. Where are the jobs? Where is the economic growth? Are the borders secure? Where is the leadership? Obamacare?
I'll bet that most Americans whether Democrat or Republican want answers to those questions verses foreign policy. More of what most people would expect from the Obama media. I am really having a difficult time understanding the logic or the left unless it is to divert the attention away from Obama obivious failures.
ODE TO WILLARD AND BFF HEFFALUMPY:
Humpty Christie hollered on stage
He bellowed. He shouted. Looked all enraged.
But try as he might, try as he can
He couldn't make Mitt a likeable man.
And when he was through (the Dumpty one he)
After patting himself, excited with glee
He turned to old Mitt. The robot. The stiff.
Whose discomfort was clear, whose mind was adrift
"Mitt The Chosen! The Messiah! The One!"
But, alas, dear Willard, after November you're done!
Foreign Policy Romney?
He said he would go along with what Benjamin Netanyahu wanted to do about Iran.
Please that is foreign policy???
Obama I see no real policy there on China at all just bum more money off them.
The GOP and DEM are like having the Taliban and Al-Qaeda run our economy.
Ryan said he would call China a bad name "Currency Manipulator" WOW once again no teeth policy.
Willard does not want to speak about foreign polices when he flys the cayman island flag on his yacht. NO AMERICAN FLAG! He just wants to grab our taxes to fill his pockets and hide it overseas. Where's your taxes WILLARD!!!!!!!
This whole Republican Convention, I have seen less B.S. at a Steer auction!
I listened to Ann as she spoke from her heart lol and all I heard was how hard she was trying to get the women voters. Then she spoke about how Mitt was going to move heaven and earth and then, I threw up. Willard is a cardboard cut -out and Ann is the stand.
