I assumed she was comparing it to Barack and Michelle's, which didn't make sense, no one doubts that the Obamas really love each other, then I realized she was contrasting her marriage to one between same sex partners. I did learn, however, that Mitt is qualified to be POTUS because he walked her home SAFELY when they were teenagers. Maybe things were different back then, but I would expect most teenagers to walk their girlfriends home safely - unless they're rapists or murderers.

I was blessed to grow up in a community with good schools---taxpayers paid for that. I went to state universities for graduate school---taxpayers paid for that. My office is in a safe community---taxpayers pay for that.

And my main point still stands---on $57,000 per day income and with a $100 million IRA that they will start drawing down when Mitt turns 70 1/2 (wonder how they managed that) the Romneys are certainly "OK" financially. Lots of seniors are not, thanks to the Bush recession from which we are still recovering.

Backstabbing - The party out of power always works to oust the incumbent. However, that is not the main reason for a lack of cooperation with the WH. The lack of cooperation with the WH is Obama's requested policies and his lack of LEADERSHIP. There has been some cooperation with the WH on some important bills and appointments, maybe not as much as Obama would like, but that is the way it goes, you can not expect to get everything you want.

Obama is the most divisive, egotistical, misinformed President in my life time. He lacks LEADERSHIP, civility and refuses to cooperate. He discredits Congress, including the Democratic controlled Senate. Obama seems to think that the Constitution makes him above Congress and not a co-equal branch of government. Example: Making Recess appointments while Congress was still in session. Remember it is up to Congress not the President to decide when Congress was in recess, something Bush respected, and accepted grudgingly while disagreeing with it.

Ann Romney does seem like a role model from another era. Today's moms help support their families financially as well as by loving their children and husbands. Today's moms know how crucial it is to snare a job with health insurance and how important it is to plan their pregnancies. Bain wanted to create profit for investors, it had no thought of job creation. Also, Bain did create that profit many times at the expense of pensions and jobs. The companys that thrived and added jobs were many, but Bain only took those on if they could profit.

A business is designed to make money for investors. Top executives are paid far more (like 100x) than lower employees. It views employees as more or less valuable than others based upon place in a hierarchy, and if sacrificing people boosts profits the employees always loose. Oh, and a company will always follow profits- they will pollute as much as they legally can if it means higher profits. They will break the law (risk tolerance) in order to maximize profits. Lastly, businesses are run for the short term profits, with little concern for activity more than a few years down the road.

I don't want a government run like a business. I want a fiscally intelligent government, but that is not synonymous with being run like a business.

Momma Dukes - Romney DID inherit money. He gave a lot away but also benefited from his inheritance. Anne Romney has two diseases and has had the very BEST medical treatment money can buy. She also had nannies; home nurses; maids; cooks; etc., as she "raised" her sons. I know people who have had cancer who got treatment and were working; raising their families - without the nannies- and keeping the home. I have a friend who has MS - who works and takes care of her life.

Anne didn't stay home and raise her children. She stayed home and nannies raised her children.

If you don't think Anne has been fortunate in her life you need to wake up.

The same goes for a person who happens to have rich parents. It doesn't make them smarter, less lazy or any better. Period. So quit saying it does. In America last time I checked we are all equal. I saw a disgusting bad photoshopping job of her saying something hateful about the flag which the creator of it knows it was pure slime.
