So for Romney, he doesn’t become the official nominee -- and can’t start spending his money earmarked for the general election -- until Thursday.

yeah are these the same Super PACs Obama can also benefit from? Or is this just more Obama is the poor underdog so just vote for him. He can't lead, he can't accomplish and you want to give him 4 more? You guys have so many excuses why Poor Obama is struggling or can't raise enough.
Obama has more problems than raising money... he can't raise confidence. All the polling taking place adds democrats to Obama's side to even out the results. Of course that's the media's response to Obama's failed policies governing this country. They need to keep Obama even in order to say he has Romney on the run... Like hell! Liberals fall for it every time. They actually think Obama has a chance at winning... If that's the case why stack the polls in Obama's favor?

Stacking the polls in our Presidents favor would, in fact, cause Dems to become disinterested thus not working as hard to GOTV and stay home on Election Day and just the opposite effect for Romney supporters.
So the Democrat oversampling polls are just trying to help Romney win ... Right?

For the record, I'm for outlawing ALL Super Pacs - or at the very least, having much fuller disclosure of whose money is behind them and what their actual agneda is - not that teensy fine print at the bottom of the ads. What do you say, BrianB - are you in? Or are they okay for one side but not for the other?
And hey, speaking of records, CA, you'd better pick up the pace a little bit if you're going to try and break that single day record of 111 meaningless posts that you set yesterday.....all the while complaining that OTHER people need to get a job. Dennis - The Obama campaign is becoming desperate. The media has Obama's back... if you can't see that then you are blindfolded... or you are in complete support of it. Obama feels he needs 100% of the media to win because he has NO record. With unemployment officially at 8.3% and unofficially at 19.9% Obama doesn't stand a chance... In modern history, no incumbent has EVER won re-election with an unemployment rate above 7.2% and Obama knows this. Combine that with the additional $5.7 trillion in national debt, the loss of our credit rating and a GDP of 1.5%, you tell me what Obama has... His charm, his good looks, his beautiful wife (cough)... For all the bluster that Obama is going to win, the numbers do not support it.
I wish i was paid by NBC or any other news site. 111 meaningless posts? they had to mean something to someone. Perhpas not you but well Im not upset or surprised. But we do agree on getting rid of super pacs, unfortunately the whole SC ruling and 1st amendment gets in the way right? You know what, i dont listen to the ads. from either side. Joanne - Personally I don't care if Super PAC's were outlawed. As far as full disclosure... I'm all in. I'd love to find out what Super PAC's support Obama and what their agenda is... that would tickle my fancy... might make for some interesting posts on here with spelling out the muscle behind the money in support of Obama.
Obama isn't the one bribing the billionaires club with proposed tax cuts for the rich. Romney is.
We lost nearly 800,000 jobs during Bush's last month in office. Bush left him with a budget deficit of $1.4 trillion. The auto industry was on the verge of failing taking another million jobs with them. We were in two different wars. Home prices were plummeting, so that backbone of bush economic growth, the home equity loan, was gone. The stock market was tanking hitting a low of 6500. Most experts said it would take years for our economy to recover from such a widespread financial system failure.
So, most honest, unbiased people who know the facts will see that we are way better off now, but we still have a ways to go. The progress our economy has made is excellent considering how deep we were in the hole in January 2009. Perspective is important in judging success. As Ronald Reagan put it "are you better off now than you were 4 years ago. The banking industry is, the stock market is , the job market is, the auto industry is, the housing market is, I am. I think we all are. The doomsday scenarios are no longer talked about like they were 4 years ago. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I believe Pres. Obama should continue to led the way.

Dennis - And I was countering it. Democrats will not be voting in droves like they were in 08, but it's not because the media isn't in Obama's corner. I actually believe a lot of democrats have lost their excitement over Obama... and that's strictly Obama's fault. So many democrats were thinking Obama was going to pay their house notes... car notes... and their expenses... Don't ask me where they got that idea from, but when it didn't happen, they lost their illusion. I guess if Obama would have invested a couple of trillion more in paying all these peoples bills, he would be a total shoe in...

In reading your post shaak, I can tell you aren't very bright. You aren't up on any of the economic indicators and basing your entire support on the stock market is futile. Tell me shaak, what is the GDP right now... what is the unemployment rate... real rate, not the government rate... what is the national debt and how much has been added in the past 4 years... what is the current deficit? Who's in charge of these things? Remember, Bush is no longer president... That's why I say you aren't very bright.

That is exactly what is happening in Tennessee, not one single person running for republican office has anything to say (good or bad) about R & R. In all fairness, the democrats are not touting President Obama either, but normally the repugs hang on to those coatails super tight - not this year, they know the white elephant in the room is the fact that mitt is a mormon and in the south that is not a good thing to be - considering all their votes are dominated by the southern Baptist convention, who has for decades preached on the evils of mormons.

I know you support him with all your heart... and that's truly sad, because when you put this much of your being into a political candidate, when that candidate loses, your heart becomes broken... I'm concerned about you Ursula... I'm concerned that your world may come crashing down on you... see I am a conservative and I have a huge amount of compassion....

Let's take away the current tax cuts. Lets see how much more you have taken out of your paycheck... that is if you get one... With food going up.. gasoline creeping above $4 a gallon... I'm sure the extra taxes you will be paying will tickle you pink...

Yep, totally unbelievable.....kinda like pretty much everything else Limbaugh has ever said. And yet even as we speak, the geniuses who listen to him every day are out there forwarding those sensational e-mails around to spread the "fact" that President Obama was responsible for the GOP cancelling the first day of the convention .....exactly like Limbaugh intended them to do all along.

JoAnne, amazing that in this day and age of technology where you can get a fact as fast as it takes to type something into Google, so many people refuse to do so and just spew garbage! I can't even type the name Limbaugh without wanting to hurl something. You just can't make this stuff up!
Layton, I think that's our problem - we tend to prefer facts over obviously partisan conspiracy theories. Anyone with an ounce of intellectual curiosity would hear something goofy like this Limbaugh crap and take a minute to verify it for themselves. I did that twice last week when people attributed quotes to Mitt Romney that I thought sounded too "out there" to be true - and it turned out that they weren't. So I didn't - and won't - repeat them. But the right wing seems to believe that the faster you spread a lie, the truer it becomes.
By the way, I can honestly say that since the advent of chain e-mails, I have never gotten a single one from any of my liberal friends spreading rumors and/or deliberate lies about any conservative politician - we just don't seem to get our information that way. But I get goofy birther/socialist/death panels/flag pin/college transcripts/"Michelle-is-personally-making-french-fries-illegal!" stuff from a friend of my Mom's at least a couple times a month - even though she knows I'm a Democrat and I've asked her to take me off her list.
Go figure.....

Unlike the GOP, who tried to sabotage the President's acceptance speech 4 years ago by praying for rain. I'll take Chicago-style hardball politics over rightwing praying any day!
