Delegates watch campaign videos of presidential candidate Mitt Romney after RNC chairman Reince Priebus gaveled the convention to order at the Tampa Bay Times Forum on Monday.
TAMPA, Fla. -- With Hurricane Isaac moving west of Tampa, Republican convention organizers said tonight they are “full speed” ahead with the next three days of events.
“We expect no change over the next three days,” said Russ Schriefer, a Romney adviser, on a conference call with reporters. “We are full speed planning ahead with our Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday schedule.”
Schriefer, however, said the campaign is monitoring the storm’s path closely and are leaving open the possibility of more changes.
“Our thoughts are with the people in the path of the storm,” Schriefer said. “We hope they are spared any major destruction."
Tuesday’s events will begin at 2:00 pm ET with convention business, then the roll call, and nomination of the vice-presidential candidate.
Tuesday night will be highlighted by the keynote speech of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Ann Romney, the wife of presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney. Both will speak in the prime-time broadcast televised hour between 10:00 pm ET and 11:00 pm ET. They will be the only speakers in that window.
But Schriefer also pointed, in particular, to former Sen. Rick Santorum’s speech earlier in the evening. The former Pennsylvania senator is expected to focus his speech on “work,” and possibly hit on welfare.
Santorum’s speech is “going to be particularly good,” said Schriefer, who noted that he had read both Santorum’s and Christie’s speeches. Santorum will stress his family upbringing, being a son of immigrants and “how work is such an important part of the tradition of this country,” Schriefer said, stressing that Santorum was a “leader in the fight to reform welfare in 90s,” and that he “believes strongly in dignity of work.”
“It’s going to be very good,” Schriefer said.
Schriefer also addressed the potential controversy with Ron Paul delegates. Paul said yesterday he wouldn’t “fully endorse” Romney and his delegates gamed many of the rules at state conventions to get an outsized delegation on the floor of the convention.
“In terms of disunity, we are a big party,” Schriefer said. “We have people with different opposing viewpoints. I don’t think this a particularly divisive point of view people are divided on. We are all united in defeating Barack Obama. I guarantee that, on Thursday, we’ll be 100 percent united behind Mitt Romney and defeating Barack Obama for the good of the country.”

Alan, I can't speak for jstdafacts, but you have to admit....Mitt and republicans in general have a way of putting their foot in their mouth, time and time again.
When you think...Mitt campaigned heavily during the 2008 cycle, and has spent a lot of time campaigning THIS season....but for some reason he needs to be 're-introduced' or 're-connected' with the people???? Come on.
If he can't come up with an idea, plan or direction pretty soon....give it up, man! Frankly, there are more important issues to me, than whether he can flip pancakes or where he bought his shirts.

Tax on Companies that ship jobs overseas- A bill that would have eliminated a tax break that companies get when they ship jobs overseas. Republicans blocked this, allowing companies to keep the tax break they receive when they ship jobs to other countries.
The Small Business Jobs Act -would give LOCAL, community banks access to billions of dollars to loan to small businesses. Republicans blocked this, then attempted to block it a second time and failed.
Repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”- Would have repealed the law that forces gay and lesbian services members to lie about their sexuality and gives the military the right to discharge soldiers based on their sexuality. Republicans blocked this many times and Democrats were finally able to pass it with the support of just 2 Republicans.
You Guessed it…………Cantor, Boehner, McConnell and da rest of them Republican TeaBilly Conservative Politicians.
Can you imagine da Shenanigans if Mitt “F da Poor” Romney and Paul “Middle Class Warfare” Ryan get Elected.

The reason Romney is going to lose is quite simple.
Into the flanks of Romney America.
1.If Romney were a smart politician wanting to get elected he would knowing that the treasury has been depleted by the War in the Middle East would have campaigned on re-filling the treasury by telling Americans that a certain portion of the money raised from donations would be taken into the office of the presidency with him to re-fill the treasury, thus putting the money raised to work for Americans as well as showing Americans he can manage a business instead of just bankrupting companies, putting Americans on the unemployment line and selling the assets of each company making an estimated 92 million dollars from each bankruptcy.
But since Romney is not a very good businessman or political leader who is merely a puppet of the Super Pac groups such as The Tea Party funded by the Koch Brothers Romney will not be in charge if elected President but will be the puppet of the Super Pacs and what they want.
I was watching MSNBC this morning and a comment was made that Romney wanted to be himself but was told by his handlers that shouldn't be himself but should act like they want him to.
The very definition of fascism being like someone else wants you to be, outside of Hollywood of course.
Ryan thinks that his working at McDonalds will give him an edge in the election.
The only reason Ryan worked at McDonalds was to gain a political edge hoping that the employees of McDonalds would vote for him in an election just because of a perceived connection.

What is also alarming is that Romney being the puppet of the Super Pacs and comes from Massachusetts where MIT, a major computer and internet technology hub, is located and that the Koch Brothers donate money to MIT means that if Romney is elected the Super Pacs will be able use the Patriot Act through Romney's presidency to gather information on Americans to coerce them into believing the message that the Super Pac wants each American to believe.
Another form of fascism.
Romney has already proven hiself to not be very intelligent on being a leader and is nothing more than a money weasel. There would not be any reason why he would have to use methods of intelligence gathering on wealthy Americans and their religious habits of going or not going to church, temple, etc, unless the Super Pacs have their spies planted in such facilities to gather money from such tax free facilities to use for their own purposes.
Tax free money. This brings me to another Romney and Super Pac formation.
Have you noticed that all of the Super Pac members and Romney have something in common? The one thing that they have in common is that they ALL have been given what they have by family members who worked hard to build what was given to them.
Because of this the Super Pac, The Koch Brothers and Romney only know how to take and find ways of making Americans give them money because they have been spoiled by the very fact that they were given everything that they have.
I can guarantee that if any of them had to start a business from scratch without their wealth behind them I doubt if they could even get loans to start such business.
What an experiment it would be to see if the Super Pac members and Romney when given the chance to build a business from the ground up, I wonder if they would succeed.
The base of the experiment would be that all of their assets would be frozen. Each of them would be given $2000 to form the base of their business where they would be treated just like any other American trying to build a business.
Does America think that they would succeed?
The real question is would such "Silver Spooners" even come down to our level, giving up what they have been given just to prove to Americans that they can?
Put away the scoop shovels and get out the bull dozer because the elephant poo is going to get thick very fast.

The Romney/Ryan nitwits remind me of an old football coach I used to have. He loved running the football....he never changed his game plan. We would run...lose a yard. Run again...lose 2 yards.
