GOP convention: 'Full speed' ahead

Delegates watch campaign videos of presidential candidate Mitt Romney after RNC chairman Reince Priebus gaveled the convention to order at the Tampa Bay Times Forum on Monday.

TAMPA, Fla. -- With Hurricane Isaac moving west of Tampa, Republican convention organizers said tonight they are “full speed” ahead with the next three days of events.

“We expect no change over the next three days,” said Russ Schriefer, a Romney adviser, on a conference call with reporters. “We are full speed planning ahead with our Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday schedule.”

Schriefer, however, said the campaign is monitoring the storm’s path closely and are leaving open the possibility of more changes.

“Our thoughts are with the people in the path of the storm,” Schriefer said. “We hope they are spared any major destruction."

Tuesday’s events will begin at 2:00 pm ET with convention business, then the roll call, and nomination of the vice-presidential candidate.

Tuesday night will be highlighted by the keynote speech of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Ann Romney, the wife of presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney. Both will speak in the prime-time broadcast televised hour between 10:00 pm ET and 11:00 pm ET. They will be the only speakers in that window.

But Schriefer also pointed, in particular, to former Sen. Rick Santorum’s speech earlier in the evening. The former Pennsylvania senator is expected to focus his speech on “work,” and possibly hit on welfare.

Santorum’s speech is “going to be particularly good,” said Schriefer, who noted that he had read both Santorum’s and Christie’s speeches. Santorum will stress his family upbringing, being a son of immigrants and “how work is such an important part of the tradition of this country,” Schriefer said, stressing that Santorum was a “leader in the fight to reform welfare in 90s,” and that he “believes strongly in dignity of work.”

“It’s going to be very good,” Schriefer said.

Schriefer also addressed the potential controversy with Ron Paul delegates. Paul said yesterday he wouldn’t “fully endorse” Romney and his delegates gamed many of the rules at state conventions to get an outsized delegation on the floor of the convention.

“In terms of disunity, we are a big party,” Schriefer said. “We have people with different opposing viewpoints. I don’t think this a particularly divisive point of view people are divided on. We are all united in defeating Barack Obama. I guarantee that, on Thursday, we’ll be 100 percent united behind Mitt Romney and defeating Barack Obama for the good of the country.”

AW Another complete socialist democratic LIE that has been proven false many times over but as the libtard agenda is played, spew those lies enough times and maybe you yourself will believe it as apparently you do not have the brain power to see the truth. Then let us say democrats want abortions anytime, anywhere, any age(and you do not have to inforn your parents either), pick a sex abortion, or if they lack a certain gene, kill that one too. And if it is botched, even after 8 and a half months and born alive, just toss it in a stinkin closet untill it does. Just the democrat type class you can count on!

Once you learn what the word lie means perhaps then you can use it properly in a sentence.

To lie means: To make a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood. When you say you THINK you could not do worse, I think you need to reevaluate Mitt Romney.

Since Romney decided to run for president all he has been doing is feeding the American people with lies.

President Obama is mending the damage done by a republican congress.

Lie #1: You cannot expect a huge economic change in four years after the country was placed in debt in the last eight Republican years! Since Romney decided to run for president all he has been doing is feeding the American people with lies.

President Obama is mending the damage done by a republican congress.

Romney says:

"There's only one president that I know of in history that robbed Medicare, $716 billion to pay for a new risky program of his own that we call Obamacare."…- Mitt Romney on "60 Minutes."

The 2010 health care law cut Medicare reimbursements to hospitals and insurers, it did NOT cut benefits to older Americans, Cutting $716 billion from Medicare will not change the coverage of current or future Medicare recipients. The “$716b cut” refers to the Medicare cuts in the Affordable Care Act. The bulk of those cuts come in two areas. First, private insurance plans in the Medicare Advantage program have been getting paid about 20 percent more than traditional Medicare. Those overpayments are ratcheted back. Second, in negotiations with the White House, hospitals agreed to take a cut in reimbursements with the understanding that they’ll make more money from the 30 million previously uninsured people who will have insurance as a result of the law. The cuts to insurers and hospitals were sufficiently obvious that Paul Ryan included them in his budget.

Henry J. Aaron, an economist and a longtime health policy analyst at the Brookings Institution and the Institute of Medicine, called Mr. Romney’s vow to repeal the savings “both puzzling and bogus at the same time.”

“The bottom line,” said Representative Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, the senior Democrat on the House Budget Committee, which Mr. Ryan leads, “is that Romney is proposing to take more money from seniors in higher premiums and co-pays and hand it over to private insurance companies and other providers in the Medicare system.”

Speaking of budget cuts, Ryan’s plan: :The Path to Prosperity, turns Medicare into a voucher system, because his only defense is that President Obama, too, plans to cut Medicare. The only problem, however, is that Romney, along with Ryan and the entire Republican platform, completely made that up.

Politifact has labeled this claim "mostly false" countless times, still putting no halt to the attacks. The Affordable Care Act does find around $500 billion in savings to Medicare (not cuts), mainly through reducing payments to hospitals and insurance companies. On the other hand, Ryan's plan, which Romney has supported multiple times, gives seniors a set amount to help purchase a private insurance plan, regardless of whether or not it's enough. Both Ryan and President Obama find ways to bring down Medicare costs, but only the former's plan reduces coverage to seniors.

Medicaid now covers an estimated 70 million Americans and would cover an estimated 7 million more in 2014 under the Obama health law's expansion. In contrast, Ryan's plan could mean 14 million to 27 million Americans would ultimately lose coverage, even beyond the effect of a repeal of the health law, according to an analysis by the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation of Ryan's 2011 budget plan.

Mitt Romney has lost touch with reality.

Proposing individual state Medicaid is an injustice for the USA. How foolish of ANYONE to allow ANY individual state to say who and who does not qualify for health care. If you want to live in America and BE an American then do not oppress the rights and freedom of others.

Medical Government assistance must not be a legal or personal choice that can be made by individual states, organizations or companies.

We are a government FOR the people and BY the people.

It is absurd to take from the poor, the middle class, the elderly, the sick, the dying and the disabled and EXPECT THEM to use unstable vouchers in place of their already solid, definite assistant plans that that have worked for years and that they understand and are familiar with.

It is wrong to exclude ANYONE from the assistance of healthcare.

Lie #2: President Obama's stimulus plan didn't work.

"After three years, the only thing President Obama's stimulus has produced is a series of broken promises."- Headline on a Mitt Romney statement

President Obama never made any, despite claims that he promised an unemployment rate below eight percent. This did not happen because George W Bush made certain that most of America's money went into the war and now too many businesses are closing, people are losing their homes, jobs and livelihoods and making it so they have only credit to shop and survive. You cannot expect a huge economic change in four years after the country was placed in debt in the last ten years. In the four years that Obama has been president both GDP and unemployment significantly improved directly after the stimulus that was passed in early 2009. Anyone who says otherwise is either blind to reality or simply disingenuous. Which brings us to our next point...

Lie #3: Ryan never sought stimulus money.

Paul Ryan stated:

"No, I never asked for stimulus [money]."….- Paul Ryan

The next time you hear Ryan talk down to President Obama's stimulus plan -- which will likely occur the next time you hear him speak -- keep in mind that he begged to reap some of its benefits for his own state.

According to the Washington Post, Ryan's signature appears on letters sent to the Energy Department and Labor Department asking for millions of dollars in stimulus money for two companies in Wisconsin. Unfortunately, Ryan is trying to deceive his constituents by touting his anti-government record while simultaneously securing millions for them in government grants.

Romney says his budget will help the American people yet Romney's budget is a serious plan for deficit reduction.

In the words of David Firestone of the New York Times, Romney's budget "defies the rules of math." Ryan and Romney both want to keep in place the Bush-era tax cuts, and then cut them much further. But that, they claim, won't raise the deficit by a dime, because the plan will be made "revenue neutral" through closing tax loopholes. The only problem is that they don't name what loopholes they will close.

The Tax Policy Center, a nonpartisan group of tax experts, estimates that Romney's plan, which differs only slightly from the Ryan plan, would cost over $4.5 trillion over the next decade. What about the closing of loopholes to offset that cost? According to the Tax Policy Center, there aren't even enough loopholes in the tax code to balance the cuts.

"Under Obama's plan, you wouldn't have to work and wouldn't have to train for a job. They just send you your welfare check"…- Mitt Romney ad

President Obama's plan only attempts to strengthen the work requirement.

With all the financial trouble Bush Jr. caused this country, people are losing their homes, jobs and livelihoods and making it so they have only credit to shop and survive. No matter how hard Obama tries, he cannot keep up with the damage that has already been caused.

Obama understands that to save our American economy we must work together, united in our goals.

"If you've been successful, you didn't get there on your own. I'm always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something -- there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there.

"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business, you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen," he said. "The Internet didn't get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet."

Small business owner Debbi Somers, who runs Somers Furniture in Las Vegas, agreed with Obama that "there isn't any way that a small business owner can achieve their dream if they don't have the support of the government."

The SBA and Score are is essential in helping get small businesses off the ground and it is the Middle class that start these small businesses that will help grow our economy.

"It matters little if you have the right to sit at the front of the bus if you can't afford the bus fare; it matters little if you have the right to sit at the lunch counter if you can't afford the lunch. So long as Americans are denied the decent wages, and good benefits, and fair treatment they deserve, the dream for which so many gave so much will remain out of reach; that to live up to our founding promise of equality for all, we have to make sure that opportunity is open to all Americans. We've got a lot of work to do economically in this country to bring about a more just and fair economy. I want to keep the Office of Faith-Based Initiatives open, but I want to make sure that its mission is clear. Faith-based initiatives should be targeted specifically at the issue of poverty and how to lift people up."….. President Obama

Even if you are born wealthy money, does not come out of your rectum.

EVERYONE needs help getting started in business either from friends, parents or, an employer that HIRES you to work at a well paying job so you can SAVE money to build a business, or you get a loan from the Government.

Hard work without money is just that. Hard work alone, does not PAY bills.

Obama is working hard to save the poor and middle classes so they in return can work hard to save this great USA, while the ones that can't work are provided for so they will not be sick and homeless in the American streets.

Lie #6. Claiming that he is a Pro-life Republican and then allowing the head of the company that makes a "Morning After" abortion pill endorse his presidential campaign by holding a $50,000-per-plate fundraising dinner in honour of your candidacy.

Lie #7. Mitt Romney lies by saying he wants to use his individual personal opinion to lead this country instead of doing what is best and equal for ALL Americans.

"I feel very deeply about the need to respect and tolerate people of different social - or sexual orientation. But at the same time, I believe marriage should be preserved as an institution for one man and one woman."..Mitt Romney

Bias is a particular tendency or inclination, especially one that prevents unprejudiced consideration of a question; prejudice. Mitt Romney talks about opposing bias and intolerance directed towards gays and lesbians and in the same breath he is Bias towards gays and lesbians.

"Like me, the great majority of Americans wish both to preserve the traditional definition of marriage and to oppose bias and intolerance directed towards gays and lesbians…
Mitt Romney

Mitt Romney speaks of the great majority as if he knew for a FACT what ALL Americans thought.

Mitt Romney offers opportunity and freedom yet he lies and takes the freedom and opportunity of legal marriage away from the homosexual and the freedom to keep welfare intact, without upsetting and devastating changes.

"I will spend the next four years rebuilding the foundation of a opportunity society led by free people and free enterprises…..Mitt Romney

I don't think Romney even wants to win. Once he goes through all the motions he can get back to his car elevator lifestyle. I think his wife Ann would rather eat a bowl of earthworms live on TV, than give this speech. They both look like they hate what they are doing. What they really need are acting lessons or at least how to shut down their hating to do this vibration. Sad, that two grown-ups need to act out Mitt Romney's DADS' political ambitions. Fortunately all the sons seem kinda lazy with little insight. One or two of the younger boys seemed to have found their inner truths. The older ones all have that check-out for lunch robotic quality that Mitt has. Even if Mitt doesn't have the ability to be very self reflective and doesn't have a clue about himself; the rest of us can see whats going on easily. He hates doing this and can't wait to lose.

Mitt Romney's message clearly states he is for killing life.

          Romney said:

“State law should guide abortion rights, and Roe v. Wade should be reversed by a future Supreme Court ruling.”

It is absurd to Claim you are a Pro-life Republican and then allow individual states to decide WHO should ABORT fetuses and It is absurd to Claim you are a Pro-life Republican and then on May 16th 2012 allow the president Phil Frost of the company that makes a “Morning After” abortion pill endorse your presidential campaign by holding a $50,000-per-plate fundraising dinner in honour of your candidacy.

Even at the Republican presidential discussion in Peoria, Illinois Romney showed his CARE, compassion and opinion on where he stands for FREE birth control.

          When an audience member asked:

“You know what would make me happy? Free birth control.”

          Romney replied:

“If you’re looking for free stuff you don’t have to pay for? Vote for the other guy, that’s what he’s all about, okay? That’s not, that’s not what I’m about.”

Mitt Romney Cares NOTHING for unborn life or fetuses.

Now they are forced to compress their hateful agenda into a shorter period of time. Pity. The only recycling they do is recycle the same old agenda every election...an agenda that promotes inequality, suppression of women, lack of compassion, homophobia, xenophobia, Islamophobia...and call it "patriotism".

They are always shilling for less government interference...that might be something most Americans could agree on at least in principle...if they really believe in less government interference, then they need to keep their "government" out of my uterus.

ranmarie, What is the bill number? Have you read it?

              Yes I Did!

Ryan's insinuations that women who choose abortion could be jailed.

              http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/08/11/paul-ryan-s-extreme-abortion-views.html

Two bills Ryan wrote or helped write to be federal law.

Ryan Co-sponsored in the House of Representative in Washington D. C,

H.R. 212: Sanctity of Human Life Act, to be federal law.

              Personhood amendment, written in bill

              (B) The life of each human being begins with fertilization, cloning, or its functional equivalent…at which time every human being shall have all the legal and constitutional attributes and privileges of personhood.

              (1) Fertilization. The term “fertilization” means the process of a human spermatozoan penetrating the cell membrane of a human oocyte to create a human zygote, a one-cell human embryo, which is a new human being.

Ryan also sponsored in the House of Representative in Washington D. C,

H.R. 3805 To be federal law.

A forced ultrasound bill to be federal law

Todd Akin, Paul Ryan, wants to ban the “morning after pill,”

Quote: Paul Ryan, however, believes that the “forcible rape” language does not actually go far enough to force women to carry their rapist’s baby. Ryan believes that abortion should be illegal in all cases except for “cases in which a doctor deems an abortion necessary to save the mother’s life.” So rape survivors are out of luck.

“Legitimate rape” is great birth control.
So says Todd Akin, and he oughta know.
If we are raped we can rest unafraid,
‘Cause we can’t get pregnant if forcibly laid.

Our female bodies are clever that way,
We only get pregnant when we say “okay.”
Doctors have told him, so it must be so,
The stork only comes if we don’t say “No!”

              Rape won’t make babies and that is a fact;
There’s no global warming; the Earth’s really flat.
We heard it on FOX News so it must be true.

That’s not, that’s not what I’m about.”

ranmarie....for all your sanctimonious posturing....you have said nothing. First, anytime you use the word insinutate....that is your assumption (or in this case, the writers) OPINION as to what you believe someone means. 2nd, when you show exactly why they are writing what they wrote, you answer your own questions as to their intentions (They BELIEVE that LIFE begins as the time the sperm fertilizes the egg). If this is their belief, and they consider the fertilized egg to be life, shouldn't they do everything possible to save that life....even at the cost of the woman not "wanting" the life? Who fights for the unborn childs right to live?

3rd....you quote an article on "thenewcivilrightsmovement" blog quoting again...what Ryan "believes" is not anything close to a talking point, unless you are a democrat. Again...its biased writing to paint a picture that isnt necessarily true.

And to contrast to Mr. Ryan, Mr. Biden's thoughts...

Allow women to choose, but no federal funding

                I remember
vividly the first time, in 1973, I had to go to the floor to vote on abortion. A
fellow Senator asked how I would vote. “My position is that I am personally
opposed to abortion, but I don’t think I have a right to impose my few on the
rest of society. I’ve thought a lot about it, and my position probably doesn’t
please anyone. I think the government should stay out completely. I will not
vote to overturn the Court’s decision. I will not vote to curtail a woman’s
right to choose abortion. But I will also not vote to use federal funds to fund
                abortion.“

I’ve stuck to my middle-of-the-road position on abortion for more than 30
years. I still vote against partial birth abortion and federal funding, and I’d
like to make it easier for scared young mothers to choose not to have an
abortion, but I will also vote against a constitutional amendment that strips a
woman of her right to make her own choice.

Yes, at birth. Our government does not recognize anyone as a person until they are born. Your age is calculated based on the date of your birth, not the date of conception, and that is what is accepted by government. I'd like to see anyone try to claim Social Security benefits or medicare 40 weeks early, claiming that they were a person at conception. The government does not recognize anyone as a citizen until they are born, otherwise they'd be issuing Social Security numbers to pregnant women's wombs. By all legal definition, a fetus is considered to be a part of the mother's body until it is born, not as an individual being.

Republican George W Bush made certain that most of America's money went into the war and now people are losing their homes, jobs and livelihoods and making it so they have only credit to shop and survive.

No matter how hard Obama tries, he cannot keep up with the damage that has already been caused yet the Republican party still insists he is wrong to want a stimulus plan.

                                  Paul Ryan stated:

"No, I never asked for stimulus [money]."….- Paul Ryan

According to the Washington Post, Ryan's signature appears on letters sent to the Energy Department and Labor Department asking for millions of dollars in stimulus money for two companies in Wisconsin. Unfortunately, Ryan is trying to deceive his constituents by touting his anti-government record while simultaneously securing millions for them in government grants.

REv......You need to do some research about the facts and not be so easily misled by propaganda. First, you accusations about most of American's money going to war from Bush is a complete falsehood. The republican party has a point about saying that he was wrong for the stimulus. The democrats have a case in saying that he was right. Many of our decisions in life work that way. The stimulus helped the economy for a little while, but it did so by taking some jobs and future from our children, who will have to pay for the stimulus instead of paying for teachers. They Ryan thing is correct, but you neglect to say that he admitted his error. He didn't remember signing them because all the work was done by his aides and then brought to him for signatures. It is standard procedure for most congressmen and women to do that. That being said, he has a pretty good anti government record. He was right to be against it because it harms our future, but once it passed, he had a duty to look out for his constituents. Hopefully you will research this so you are not putting out information that misleads people.

Yup, even conservative pollsters, like Rasmussen Reports, show Obama with a comfortable lead in the Electoral College. Obama: 247 Romney: 196. Only 23 more to go for Obama! Romney would have to win nearly every remaining swing state to pull it off, but as we know, President Obama leads in most of them or at least in enough to easily put him over the 270 electoral votes needed.

I can assure you that it is you that needs to do some research about the facts and not be so easily misled by propaganda.

As long as you want to VOTE republican, you really should go to Romney's website and read what he is about. Propaganda is information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution, nation, etc.

I only speak facts the facts that are heard directly from Mitt Romney's and Obama’s mouth.

Do you watch the news? Try it some time. WATCH and LISTEN to Mitt Romney speak.

HEAR his lies and abusive tales from his own lips. There is no reason to rely on rumors when Mitt Romney himself PROUDLY displays his arrogance, ignorance and inhumane behavior in public.

Wake up to the FACTS and stop looking for excuses to defend this inhuman candidate.

All we have is the human language to determine what each of us is talking about. To correctly decipher human words, we must use an established dictionary and apply the correct meaning to each word that is being used.

Because many words have more than one meaning it is important that we understand the origin of the word before we apply it to a sentence or use it to discredit another human being.

Taking the human language as a tool for our decision making, we can begin to formulate our own concrete conclusions as to who is the right candidate for presidential office.

By using the candidates own words I have decided that President Obama is the ONLY choice our free country has to lead them into the liberty they seek.

Did you REALLY claim that American's money did NOT go to war from Bush is a complete falsehood?

My fellow commentator Bush borrowed begged and stole money from MANY sources to pay for his blood war. After the Taliban killed Nearly 3,000 AMERICAN citizens, AMERICA under The Republican Party leadership began a war with the Middle East that killed almost 6000 more Americans while over 500 committed suicide and 33184 were wounded.

Was placing the country trillions of dollars in debt the best thing for the American people?

BEFORE Obama took office, under the leadership of The Republican Party, AMERICA became TRILLIONS of dollars in debt and now Republican Romney attacks Obama for doing what is right to help save the economy.

You cannot expect a huge economic change in four years after the country was placed in debt in the last eight Republican years! Since Romney decided to run for president all he has been doing is feeding the American people with lies.

If Paul Ryan cannot remember signing letters sent to the Energy Department and Labor Department asking for millions of dollars in stimulus money for two companies in Wisconsin, Then Paul Ryan can also FORGET that he signed OTHER important AMERICAN documents.

These weren’t notes explaining why his child was late for school. How can The American people TRUST with memory loss?

Hopefully you will research this so you are not putting out information that misleads people.

                                      ContemptMe,

I have noticed the changes, and there have been very few. Romney was way ahead in Florida, now it's neck and neck. Romney was ahead in North Carolina, now it's neck and neck. Romney has never lead in Virginia, never will. Romney was ahead in Missouri, now Obama is.

The simple fact is that Romney must win nearly every remaining swing state to get to 270, Obama needs only Florida or any other combination of two or more that total 23. That can be done easily with Virginia and Missouri or Virginia and Wisconsin, Ohio and Iowa, Ohio and Colorado, Ohio and Wisconsin, and the list of winning combinations goes on and on. For Romney, there is only one winning combination, he must win everything left. Basically, the point is that Romney has no viable path to 270.

                                      Contempt,

Please explain to me what, exactly, you see changing before then? Can you give me a hypothesis based on facts and evidence?

Everybody has all the information they're going to get on either of the candidates, debates won't change anyone's minds, because we've all heard what each has to say a hundred or more times, and nothing really big will be coming out in the media except for a story about Mitt Romney committing voter fraud in 2010.

What would change this race from the easy win for Obama that it appears to be now to a win for Romney? It just seems a little far fetched.

Exactly, nothing's going to change between now and November. The funny thing is that Romney should have gotten a bump from announcing his VP pick, however, his situation has only gotten worse.

I'm still confused on how, EVERY Political article on MSNBC, the first or second comment is by Feisty. I don't understand how that is possible, no matter what time the article is posted, Feisty is either the first or 2nd poster, but I do have a theory.

Either Feisty is an unemployed freeloader living on the welfare dime or is a plant by MSNBC to help foster the liberal ideology. Now, I have read many of her posts, and although they are mostly the liberal talking points and so left leaning they make the tower of Pisa jealous, they do have a bit of intellectual prowess to them, so I doubt she is an unemployed freeloader. No...I'm going with the latter and say she is an NBC plant to further the liberal ideology.

As long as they do what is best for the American people, both candidates will be winners!

All one has to do is look at the facts.

Was WAR the best thing for the American people?

President Obama is mending the damage done by a republican congress.

#2A. IS Medicare VOUCHERS instead of secure subsidized healthcare the best thing for the poor, elderly, sick, disabled and dying when they are pout of work and cannot afford any other means to [pay for their medical needs?

#3. You cannot expect a huge economic change in four years after the country was placed in trillions of dollars of debt in the last eight years! In July 2001, President George W. Bush and the Republican-controlled Congress gave huge tax cuts to the wealthy. These tax cuts were not paid for at the time and still, to this day, are not paid for.

                                          Republican Mitt Romney says:

#5. Over 21 large corporations including Enron went bankrupt in the time Republican George W Bush took office. This fall in the economy left hundreds upon hundreds of Americans unemployed and now the rise in welfare assistance is growing every year.

                                          Republican Mitt Romney says:

#6. Although The USA is not a Christian nation, The USA is not a Heterosexual nation and Marriage is NOT an exclusive club for heterosexuals. Although homosexuals are American citizens and civilians and Civil rights are any right which affects the affairs of citizens, Republican Mitt Romney wants to deny homosexuals their Civil rights and equality to marry.

#7. Although The USA is a melting pot of many nationalities, religions and preferences. Republican Mitt Romney wants to use is CHRISTIAN faith to run the country.

Politicians should not use their faith to destroy and punish the poor and minorities. yet Politicians like Mitt Romney are now using their Christian faith as a basis for their political decisions. Mitt Romney stands behind Catholic republicans Paul Ryan and John Boehner which is an example of political division.

                                          Ryan stated that:

"I feel it's important to discuss how, as a Catholic in public life, my own personal thinking on these issues has been guided by my understanding of the Church's social teachings on subsidiary. This tenet holds that nothing should be done by a larger and more complex organization which can be done as well by a smaller and simpler organization. In other words, any activity which can be performed by a more decentralized entity should be. I do not believe that the preferential option for the poor means a preferential option for big government."

The Republican budget that Ryan pushed through the House of Representatives proposes big cuts to federal food aid and Medicaid healthcare for the poor, as well as to education grants, in order to shrink deficits while preserving low tax rates for the wealthy and for corporations.

These facts conclude that the morality of the republican party must be challenged and changed BEFORE 99% of the population looses their rights, freedoms and chances for economic and spiritual growth to republicans that are now in power and using the church doctrines against the people of middle and lower classes and against the people that represent controversial minorities.

In this Mitt Romney quote Mitt Romney forgets that Wiccans, atheists and agnostics are Americans too.

"The American people are the greatest people in the world. What makes America the greatest nation in the world is the heart of the American people: hardworking, innovative, risk-taking, God- loving, family-oriented American people."...Mitt Romney

#8. Although Mitt Romney claims he is Christian and Christ Clearly said:

Proverbs 29:7: "The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern."

Republican Mitt Romney makes his opinion on the POOR quite clear.

Romney says: creating jobs will help the poorest workers; not cash handouts but what about the people that cannot work? What about the sick, elderly and disabled? Romney’s economic plan does NOT give any money to the 50 million Americans who don’t pay taxes.

“My system is primarily based on trying to create jobs, not handing out cash to individuals. I do lower the lowest income tax bracket from 10% to 7.5%. And that helps people at the low economic level. But the heart of what I’m doing is trying to get businesses to become more active, buying capital equipment, trying to get businesses to grow in this country and to create more jobs. for those that are not paying any taxes at all, simply writing a check doesn’t seem to me to be the right course to follow.”

Romney is neglecting 50 million Americans and through his economic plan, 50 million more will soon be joining the POOREST human beings living in AMERICA.

Mitt Romney told CNN: "I'm not concerned about the very poor. We have a safety net there. If it needs repair, I'll fix it. I'm not concerned about the very rich. They're doing just fine. I'm concerned about the very heart of America, the 90-95% of Americans who right now are struggling. You can focus on the very poor, that's not my focus, my energy is going to be devoted to helping middle-income people. My system is primarily based on trying to create jobs, not handing out cash to individuals. I do lower the lowest income tax bracket from 10% to 7.5%. And that helps people at the low economic level. But the heart of what I’m doing is trying to get businesses to become more active, buying capital equipment, trying to get businesses to grow in this country and to create more jobs. for those that are not paying any taxes at all, simply writing a check doesn’t seem to me to be the right course to follow.”…. Mitt Romney

Mitt Romney's solution for a better AMERICA is this:

Go to school, get an education, get a job, NEVER get old, sick, poor or disabled, ALWAYS obey your STATE laws and as far as Mitt Romney is concerned, you will ALWAYS be a good American citizen.

Mitt Romney is out for the rich.

If Romney’s health care plan becomes law, so will medical vouchers! Mitt Romney by his own confession is pulling the safety net out from under our American poor.

Mitt Romney offers vouchers to the sick, elderly, poor, dying and disabled instead of offering them permanent stable healthcare and financial assistance.

Under Romney's and Ryan's GREAT plan, if you are sick, poor, dying, disabled, UNDER the age of 55 years old and on Social Security or Medicaid, you will LOOSE your benefits to an unstable voucher.

Under Romney's and Ryan's GREAT plan, if you are sick, poor, dying, disabled, UNDER the age of 55 years old and on Social Security or Medicaid, you must find away to get rich quick or you will be thrown homeless into the street without a health care provider and without a way to pay for food, medicine, clothes, necessities, heat and lodgings!

Instead of making cuts that will eventually extend the assistance programs, Romney wants people OFF of the assistance programs so they can go through political red tape while signing up for unstable and insecure vouchers!

Romney is modifying Medicaid while creating unnecessary, stress, aggravation and paper work for the poor, the elderly, the disabled, the sick and the dying.

Romney’s plan takes the secure foundation of financial and medical assistance away from the people, while leaving them with an inconstant, indefinite, undeterminable, indistinct, insecure, unfixed, unpredictable, unreliable, unresolved, unsettled, unsure, risky and insecure way of existence while Obama care leaves them with a solid, definite solution that adds no additional work for them and that keeps them on programs that they The poor and middle class are working with Obama to make government assistance last so that in the future it will be available to all without the need of insecure and unstable vouchers.

Under Romney’s plan to keep our sick, elderly and disabled alive, we will have to quit our jobs and be their care takers at home because we can no longer afford their nursing home and health care facilities.

If those of us that have sick, elderly and disabled are no longer able to work, how will we afford our rent, taxes and mortgages and how will these health care facilities stay in business without clients to support their overhead?

Once these health care facilities go out of business jobs will be lost.

Romney and Ryan want to offer the poor options to PAY for PRIVATE care but WHERE is the Poor and middle classes getting this money to do so?

To have FULL care you must PAY for full care.

Mothers and fathers are already working two and three jobs to support their families, They are NEVER at home with their children and they can barely make ends meet. Can you imagine adding ONE MORE BILL to their already diminished incomes?

It is vital that we take care of the POOR and middle classes above all else, so that their caretakers are able to work and put money BACK into the economy.

Do not forget the poor and middle classes make up 99% of the American population.

Can you imagine 99% of the American people unable to afford rent, food, clothes or shelter?

It is abundantly clear that this is what Romney has planned.

Because America is not a third world country, bigger tax cuts to the poor will take away healthcare, food and shelter from the people who need it most which are: the elderly, the sick and the disabled.

Do you know HOW MANY JOBS are created through the elderly, the sick and the disabled?

Tax cuts equal job losses and financial assistance eliminations and these eliminations will make hospitals, welfare and health care facilities have big cut backs on their payrolls which in return will reduce jobs in these industries and drive middle and lower class citizens who are using these programs into the streets.

Those that can work will try to get a second and third job while those that can't work, will be forced out of hospitals, and government funded nursing homes, and mental health facilities. The ones who are being cared for at home, will need supplies that insurance will no longer pay for, under pads, diapers , lotions, special diets like ensure, the list goes on and on while all of these necessities come out of family member pockets adding to the financial strain.

It is very easy for a person to be forced into homelessness. First the government takes more money from their healthcare, which leaves less money to spend on food, care and shelter.

Third world countries do not see such drastic changes in their society because they never had a government or big business to fall back on.

It is very easy for a person to be forced into homelessness. First the government takes more money from their healthcare, which leaves less money to spend on food, care and shelter.

In third world countries, all people are living in poverty, they are not THROWN into poverty. Mitt Romney wants to throw the middle classes into poverty!

The takers as you so call them are DECENT American citizens.

In the United States Of America, the poor are NOT just addicts, immigrants and opportunists sponging off the welfare system. The poor are elderly, sick and disabled human beings that have no families or resources to fall back on.

EVERY decent person who now lives at poverty level was once middle class citizens that got too old or disabled to work. These facts conclude that the morality of the republican party must be challenged and changed BEFORE 99% of the population looses their rights, freedoms and chances for economic and spiritual growth to republicans that are now in power and using the church doctrines against the people of middle and lower classes and against the people that represent controversial minorities.

Obama is trying to solve this problem while NOT creating another, while Romney and Ryan just wants to make a profit for the rich.

What Mitt Romney is about is lying to the AMERICAN public and cheating them out of their human, constitutional, civil and equal rights.
