Delegates watch campaign videos of presidential candidate Mitt Romney after RNC chairman Reince Priebus gaveled the convention to order at the Tampa Bay Times Forum on Monday.
TAMPA, Fla. -- With Hurricane Isaac moving west of Tampa, Republican convention organizers said tonight they are “full speed” ahead with the next three days of events.
“We expect no change over the next three days,” said Russ Schriefer, a Romney adviser, on a conference call with reporters. “We are full speed planning ahead with our Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday schedule.”
Schriefer, however, said the campaign is monitoring the storm’s path closely and are leaving open the possibility of more changes.
“Our thoughts are with the people in the path of the storm,” Schriefer said. “We hope they are spared any major destruction."
Tuesday’s events will begin at 2:00 pm ET with convention business, then the roll call, and nomination of the vice-presidential candidate.
Tuesday night will be highlighted by the keynote speech of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Ann Romney, the wife of presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney. Both will speak in the prime-time broadcast televised hour between 10:00 pm ET and 11:00 pm ET. They will be the only speakers in that window.
But Schriefer also pointed, in particular, to former Sen. Rick Santorum’s speech earlier in the evening. The former Pennsylvania senator is expected to focus his speech on “work,” and possibly hit on welfare.
Santorum’s speech is “going to be particularly good,” said Schriefer, who noted that he had read both Santorum’s and Christie’s speeches. Santorum will stress his family upbringing, being a son of immigrants and “how work is such an important part of the tradition of this country,” Schriefer said, stressing that Santorum was a “leader in the fight to reform welfare in 90s,” and that he “believes strongly in dignity of work.”
“It’s going to be very good,” Schriefer said.
Schriefer also addressed the potential controversy with Ron Paul delegates. Paul said yesterday he wouldn’t “fully endorse” Romney and his delegates gamed many of the rules at state conventions to get an outsized delegation on the floor of the convention.
“In terms of disunity, we are a big party,” Schriefer said. “We have people with different opposing viewpoints. I don’t think this a particularly divisive point of view people are divided on. We are all united in defeating Barack Obama. I guarantee that, on Thursday, we’ll be 100 percent united behind Mitt Romney and defeating Barack Obama for the good of the country.”

Full speed ahead?
Now that's some funny stuff! lol
This cast of clowns couldn't find "forward" with a flashlight & a GPS system!
The party of pale male & stale are partying like it's 1959!
Anyone know why Governor Krispy Creme told a reporter Willard is going to LOSE? lols
Maybe he sees the writing on the wall behind the all you can eat buffet...
The hookers, gay and straight, will be happy to hear that news...
When does Joe Biden arrive? He needs to speak at the convention. That will get a 20 point swing in support of Romney. LMAO
Poor little Joey Biden.
Fisty, why are you such a racist?
Where do you think all the family values freaks spent their "down" time today? ;o)
As long as they leave Rafalca out of the "pony play", I'm cool with that!
What a shock, Commisar Field Marshal Fisty of the 3rd Trailer Park Trash Brigade is first.
so GT you gonna "service" some Repubs. Sure sounds like it. you keep repeating it.
So, Santorum will talk about 'blah' people, again!

Look GT is chomping at the bit to work the streets of Tampa, Fisty same thing. Chilled only sees white people. You guys sit around and rub eachothers crotches like you came up with some real funny material. Get back when you want to discuss grownup stuff like the US economy.
What they WON'T do is one simple thing...
They won't give us one reason why we should vote for the Romney/Ryan ticket.
Get back when you want to discuss grownup stuff like the US economy.
Give me one good reason why I would want to discuss the economy with a @!$%#in' Moron like you?
!!!LOL!!!
-
O&Joe 2012
I just want to know why they feel it's necessary to "re-introduce" Willard... when he does that every single day on his own!
I am relieved to hear, Willard gets off on peanut butter on his pancakes! Who would of guessed?
Show us your COSTCO card Annie! lmao
Obama. that was easy. next question
Ann will show us her costco card when Obama flashes his EBT
Give me one good reason why I would want to discuss the economy with a @!$%#in' Moron like you?
I'll give you one why you CANT. Answer because of the lack of male anatomy between your legs.
I'll give you one why you CANT. Answer because of the lack of male anatomy between your legs.
I rest my case, Slingblade. With posts like that, what else could you be but a @!$%#ing moron? !!!LOL!!!

Is the Feisty clan ignoring me yet? Heck Feisty, how many hands do you have? Grilling and posting.
Full speed ahead, not just to fire President Obama, but also to shut the ugliness of these sad liberals/progressive liers.
Romney/Ryan 2012. Please correct the error of 2008.
That's a real selling point but gotta' add that Willard ironed his Costco shirt......
The Secret Service is keeping it safe for her frequent visits!
I can just see the pictures now, the balloons falling, the Romney/Ryan brainless fans cheering, Romney and Ryan on the stage, arms in the air as Queen Ann, the Romneys and the Ryan clan look on in witless wonder AND
at the same time we see New Orleans, Biloxi, Mobile, and/or Galveston inundated with a category 1 or 2 hurricane.
It won't be a repeat of Katrina because we now have a President who actually does care about the nation in the White House, Brownie is no longer in charge of "doing a great job" at FEMA, but the parallels of a useless Republican partying while the nation needs a real President can't be missed.
kind of like the BP oilspill, you know MANMADE. Obama cared then eh?
More like elephants in a china store...
I'll talk "about grown up stuff like the economy" what do want to talk about?
You want to talk about the dow, nasdaq, and S&P indexs all being more than double what they were in Nov. 2008.
Do you want to talk about the 600% increase of going from losing 500,000 jobs a month to gaining a 100,0000 a month.
Do you want to talk about the fact that tax cuts do not create jobs, nobody hires because their taxes are lower, they only hire if they have customers to service and sell to. If you own a small business and nobody walks in the door and spends a dollar then the taxes on the dollar you did not make becomes the first thing on your list of last things to worry about. Lots of people with a few extra dollars to spend spurs hiring, the republicans are all about shifting more costs to the middle class, to enable giving people who already have tons of money a tax cut, that does not spur hiring, it will create more unemployment as people find their income consumed by the bare necessities, and have no extra money to spend with the small businessmen in their community. No businessman hires on the basis of his taxes being cut, or this silly notion of confidence in the president, if they have more customers than their current workforce can service they hire, if they have more employees than required to service their current level of sales they lay off, it has nothing to do with taxes or confidence. As republicans push to lower peoples wages and benefits, as they push to reduce the tax burden on corporations and the wealthy and shift those expenses to the general population you can expect unemployment to rise, because people just won't have the disposable income to create, support, or sustain any expansion of demand, and with no expansion of demand there will be no expansion of hiring.
Do you want to talk about the $11.20 (less than I made in 1982) an hour median income in Texas, because they have relieved themselves of the horrible influence of unions, and have voted themselves the right to work for less, and less, and less. Do you want to talk about the fact that they don't earn enough money to even owe federal taxes (but they sure complain about the high taxes they don't pay) but they sure collect a lot of "socialist government money" by way of food-stamps and medicaid just to get by.
What kind of republican economic nonsense do you want to discuss?
Just to show you I have not lost my sense of humor:
Chris Christie is the only guy I have ever seen walk into a buffet all alone and then ordered "two all you can eats".
The Republicans are against "Big Government"...unless of course it involves spending Billions of dollars to clean up after their Private Sector messes.
BP was accountable for the spill, they should be accountable for the clean up; not the President.
Once again, the Democrats have to be the grown ups, the Republicans are just corporate welfare losers.
I just can't get over how Feisty and Backhouse seem to always get the first comments on these articles regardless of the time of day they are posted and 95% of the time have very long, seemingly prepared statements for the exact article presented. If you've ever seen a "new" article on NBC.com you know that it's pretty hard to get the first comment and many times while you are writing your comment another 20 comments are posted before yours goes up. Seems likely they are fed the articles as paid commenters.
In any case I find it funny that the articles are talking about all of the Bush reminders of the convention- Hurricane Kitrina and the Bush years....... That and how the networks have decided not to run Ann Romney's speech. All I can take from these reports is that the media is painfully biased democrat. Can you honestly say that when Michelle Obama speaks at the DNC convention that she won't get covered?? Even before she became First Lady?? No you did hear her speak then and you will now.
The hurricane and the comparisons to the Bush era- please, really that's all you've got? Yes, Kitrina was awful and the Bush administration's response was woefully inadequate, but we sometimes learn from our mistakes and correct them accordingly. Face it, you can "prepare" for that earthquake as you wish but until that 10 on the scale occurs you don't know what kind of damage will really occur when it happens. FEMA wet the bed and showed us that the federal government was very ill prepared to deal with a problem- while being a huge organization. Remember those emergency trailers they build but wouldn't deliver? Those went to rot because of federal government burocratic BS wouldn't allow them to ship, be given out, or located on sites.
On the Bush era comparisons, why are you so happy to compare Romney to Bush when Romney is running against Obama? Why doesn't anyone compare Romney's governing experience with Obama's Presidential experience? Why not compare their fiscal beliefs/statements against their practices in office?? There's a lot there to work with, but I'm no reporter so I guess I can only ask layman's questions.
We need real reporting and real articles. Please help us out NBC, etc.
The Republicans are hosting an Arena of Fear and a Marathon of Terror. Their calvacade of clowns are sure to tickle the average Joe's funny bones. But, if you are looking for brains, it will starve the average brain-hungry zombie to slow starvation, because there is slim pickings of gray matter to be had there. Ahoy, Captain. Permission to board.
Nothing can stop the GOP train! except a little rain....
The Republican Convention? Just like the Republican agenda: A NON-STARTER!!
Full speed ahead! Arm phazers and photon torpedoes! In three days there will be plenty of elephant poop to clean up. In a few days, we will have donkey poop too.
I wish we had a third candidate. I like neither of the two offered.
Hah! Hah! Put a fork in this Republican Turkey of a Convention.
You're Roasted, Toasted, and done to Perfection!
You Karl Rove, Dick Cheney Darth Vader, Haliburton Oil, BlackHawk Mercenary types of Republicans, and you crazy-wacko Teabaggers
aren't just LOSING the ELECTION,
You've ALREADY LOST.
You just haven't noticed that you've already Hit the Ground.
You've got a Liar, Flip-Flopper, Tax Cheat, and a Thief of the hard-working American Worker's Pension Funds, as your Etch-a Scetch "Outsourcer and Chief", and as his running-mate an Extreme right-winger who worships at the altar of Ayn Rand, the Infamous author of "Atlas Shrugged", who is quoted as saying the Poor are mere Insects and Parasites. That's not very Christian, now is it?
That's whay as a Republican, I'm Encouraging Everybody, and I mean Everybody, to Vote a straight Democratic ticket come this November 2012.
Let's send Mitt Romney and the Republicans "Back to the Dung Heap of History", where they all belong.
A good idea, yes?
Neither party likes poor people. Notice how they all refer to the "middle class." The poor do not even exist in their minds. Both parties will cut the poor. The Republicans boast loudly of such an intention. You can see them coming waving the knife. The Democrats, on the other hand, will say nothing or little; but somehow when the haggling over a bill in congress happens, the poor end up getting cut in some act of compromise. The Democrats have the knife behind their backs, but is still used just the same. The poor are sacrificed in the name of "bipartisanship."
Are the Republicans "hoping" for a "change" from the President Bush, Hurricane Katrina disaster?
What? You say that Democrats don't like the Poor? We've got the Poor's back, baby. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahZHVBC89aM
I propose that we take Federal Elections out of the hands of each state. The federal government should have ballots prepared - containing only the names of those running for the office of U.S. President, U.S. Vice-President and U.S. Congress. The federal government can then set the number of days needed for voting, the number of polling booths needed to accommodate all Americans eligible to vote based on total population. If the states are going to be corrupt - then let them do so with their own state elections. People will eventually tire of the voting shenanigans that's become so typical of Racist Republican Party.
Once again, the only plan republicans have...
"We are all united in defeating Barack Obama."
Who cares if you lose Medicare and your right to collective bargaining, you get raped by a probe, your contract at work gets invalidated, aren't able to vote, etc...
The number one goal is to make Obama a one-term president...
Right??

I suspect the networks think nobody cares about her speech Ratings, you know. As for the First Lady, well, she IS the First Lady. However, I'm betting the networks will do the same, decide based on ratings.
However, considering some of the stuff Mrs, Romney has said in the past, the networks are probably doing the Republicans a favor.
Personally, I don't intend to watch either convention. Both promise to be BORING.
Ann Romney--She needs to lose about 60 pounds before she can be a Milf. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QP-SIW6iKY
ya well forest gump 2.0 had a great post that i have yet to see a republican debunk with logic yet .... i have got a lot of ignore when i pose similar arguments ... they don't want to hear logic or facts they are just pissed to see someone other than a rich white man in office ... they have no memory .. no tact ... no logic and no REAL future ... all they want to do is try to get 18th century laws back on the books and make slugs that don't do anything but push daddies money around pay less for doing so .....
Republican or Democrat they aren't thinking about you:
US “Fifty Wealthiest Lawmakers” list: A Congress of the rich, by the rich, and for the rich
By Eric London
27 August 2012
Last week’s report by Washington, D.C. political blog The Hill details the vast wealth of the nation’s legislative representatives and serves as an indictment of the anti-democratic nature of the American political system. The “50 Wealthiest Lawmakers” list shows that dozens of congressional politicians have amassed huge fortunes while simultaneously slashing the wages, benefits and social services of the American people.
In other words, not only are these members of Congress overseeing a massive transfer of wealth from the working class to the ruling class; they are also profiting from this transfer.
The report reveals the bipartisan composition of the extremely wealthy in congress. Seven of the top 10 richest members of congress are Democrats; overall, Republicans make up 60 percent of the list…

Wage cuts hit millions of US workers
By Patrick Martin
27 August 2012
According to a report by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, released Friday, millions of American workers who lost their jobs after the Wall Street crash of 2008 have failed to find work, while millions more have gone back to work only after taking substantial wage cuts.
According to the BLS, some 12.9 million workers were displaced from their jobs between January 2009 and December 2011. The BLS study focused on those who had lost jobs they had held for at least three years, who comprised just under half the total, some 6.1 million workers.
Of these 6.1 million workers, 27 percent were still unemployed but looking for work, while 17 percent have stopped looking for work, effectively dropping out of the labor force. Of the 56 percent who had found new jobs, slightly more than half took jobs that paid less than their old jobs. For those who took new jobs with pay cuts, the majority lost 20 percent or more compared to their previous wages, on top of the loss of earnings due to part-time work or reduced overtime….

More like RAMMING SPEED as Romney rams obama right smack in his AS.....
Arch i have to say ... for the most part true ..... but at least with the democrats ... at this time ... we will get a little lube in the reaming we are getting ... if you ask me in an ideal world we wouldn't have this 2 party monster ... but as it is with the road to almost any public office paved with corporate money ..... you can only pick the lessor of 2 evils ....
ps 7.62 .... no Romney plans that for every one including you if you make under 200.000 $
Difference between the rich Dems and the rich republicons is clear. The rich Democratic party is trying to make tax rate more fair for all, the repubs Ryan and Romney have the lowest rates for the rich and want to make them lower, while making the middle class and poor pay for the share the rich should be paying. Ryan plan cutting food stamps for starving children and cutting Veterans benefits to give themselves lower tax rates! Take food right out of the mouths of children. You can't get any lower than that!
Vote Obama/Biden 2012
RedSoxRule, which they don't,
You accuse Feisty of racism while posting with an icon like that?
What a loser.
From The New York Times-
"ABC, CBS and NBC are scaling back their televised coverage of both conventions from four years ago, when they went on the air live each night for an hour. Though there was lengthier coverage and huge ratings in 2008 — both candidates’ speeches drew nearly 40 million viewers, with John McCain’s getting slightly higher ratings — the overall trend for the networks has been to cut back and leave the gavel-to-gavel coverage to cable news.
This year, the networks will broadcast three hours of live coverage for each convention, as they did in 2004. For the Republican convention, all three networks will broadcast an hour live Tuesday through Thursday.
For the Democratic convention the next week, ABC and CBS will broadcast an hour Tuesday through Thursday.
NBC will skip Wednesday night for an N.F.L. game and devote two hours of coverage on Thursday, when President Obama and Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. are scheduled to speak."
Maybe they should have looked at the broadcast schedule before they decided to put Ann on. Plans are not a strong suit for the right.
Well, it's hard to make plans when God's against you. This is not the first Republican Convention delayed due to God's weather events. It would seem, God doesn't like...
Romney! Release your tax returns!
Fiesty and her gang, plus her antagonists = no commentary worth reading, a complete bankruptcy of any meaningful discussion on the problems facing the nation. I would tell her to stop posting, but that only means we'll be left with the rest of the butt heads she's spawned.
“It’s going to be very good,” Schriefer said.
It's going to be FULL OF LIES herewego said and means. lol I'll have a pad and pen to write them all down, oh wait, darn I might as well tape it it will have too many lies for me to write by hand.
FORREST GRUMP: @ 1.19
Please tell us how Obama and the democrats were responsible for the increase in the Dow, Nasdaq or the S&P? They survived, in spite of, not because of Obama's wasteful 5 trillion dollar in spending. Please tell me what Obama did to move the stock prices up?
If the consumer has more money to spend because of decreased taxes that helps small businesses, it does not hurt them. Remember, Obama recognized this when he gave everyone $13.00, increased those on food stamps, reduced the FICA Tax, and gave taxpayer money away here and there etc., etc.
What does, how the State of Texas, rationally manages its own economy have anything more to do with the National Elections. Why not discuss the brilliant way the California is managing its economy into bankruptcy. Are you going to raise the California fiasco when it's time for the Democratic convention. Republican management in Texas was beneficial to the "people of the State" -- it wasn't meant to cater to your personal greed. California on the other hand is not even worth discussing. Look at San Francisco.
"BP was accountable for the spill, they should be accountable for the clean up; not the President."
You explain the BP disaster and the President's failure to promptly react so clearly. Thank you.
Looks like that big butt, big mouth cookie monster from N.J., is going to be at the Convention, this dude needs a big elevator !!!!!!!!!!!
Mitt, stop the @!$%# and show us 10 years of Tax Returns...
Then you need to show us a Plan, you know with Grown Up ideas and specifics. We know you think you can just snap your fingers and Kolob Bob will make it all better, but really we need to know you can make us glow Mittens.
So, which Romney will show up? The liberal governor of a liberal state or the parody of the rightwing fringe nutcase he's become?
"Full Speed" ahead? The GOP? Seriously?
The GOP is yesterday's news. They are all about taking us back to the 1950's, those Happy Days of Ozzie and Harriet, when Father new best. When Jim Crow Laws keep the blacks in their place and women stayed home and took care of the kids because their pay in the workplace was so pitiful. Back in those wonderful days of the 1950's when back-room abortionists killed and maimed more women than they helped and abstinence was the only effective birth control. When TV's were black and white and so were the issues. John Birch and "Tail Gunner" Joe McCarthy. The good old days.
Oh, they're "Full Speed" alright, in reverse.
Enjoy your moment GOP dudes and dudettes, it will be brief.
Obama/Biden 2012
The Repub Convention. Snooze, snooze. What a boring thought. I don't see how anyone could stay awake during the boring speeches focused on gutting the middle class and taking away women's rights. Haven't we heard enough of that $hit to last you a life time?????
The David Brooks Op Ed in this morning's paper was hilarious and should have some appeal to both sides of the aisle.
I won't attempt to copy it here and break any forum rules or be accused of changing any of it. Enjoy...
Just follow the link:
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/28/opinion/brooks-the-real-romney.html?_r=1&ref=columnists
Even if you didn't like Obama its hard to agree with a party that not once in the past five years agreed or worked together the way a Government should be run; God knows its a protest at this point.
btw, did anyone see the article/interview (if one can categorize it) in this weekend's Parade Magazine with the Sunday paper.
Romney's answers were all pretty polished. It didn't seem like it was as off the cuff as they said it was. The questions must have been submitted in advance.
Anyway, from two full pages of Q&A, the only thing that really stuck to me was Parade's intro where they said Romney was wearing freshly ironed jeans. Can anyone spell "out of touch"? Who irons jeans? That's what gets me about Romney. He's self destructive. No matter what he says or how he says it to try to be likable and appear to be a regular guy, he then has to do something to assert that he's far above the rest of us and really has no idea why he just doesn't connect as being genuine when he tries to be someone or something he obviously isn't.
You people whine about government intervention and then complain when they arent there in your pre-determined, fairy tale time frame. You whine that the environmental and safety regulations cause too much undue hardship on a company but then moan about the governments response to a disaster caused by a bunch of clowns.
You cant have it both ways genius.
So Santorum's going to speak on welfare. Time for some facts kinda like getting a vaccination before being exposed to a contagious disease.
Obama's recent welfare reform does not eliminate the work requirement. The only changes to work requirement allowed under his Welfare Plan revision are those that produce at least a 20% higher rate of employment among the state's welfare recipients than the current job placement rate.
Some Republican governors had requested more flexibility in order to improve their state's Welfare job placement rate and they got it. Any improvement here lowers the cost of welfare and is a good thing.
Yet, Romney LIES about it and it is likely Santorum will LIE about it too.
Romney LIES and cannot be trusted.
Thanks Mike! That was probably the best laugh I'll have all day! Sending links out to all my misguided, republican fiends. And no, that wasn't a misspelling. lol
Mike...so you had to dig SOOOO deep to criticize Romney that you thought ironing jeans was a bad thing? HUH? I iron my jeans and so do the other men with class that I know. We all iron our own jeans. So what else ya got?
You Liberals have nothing new to say, nothing to contribute to whats going on. You just keep slinging the same old BS we've all been hearing for the past six months which is 99.99% slaming Romney; nothing positive to say about your @!$%#head president who has deteriorated America since the day he stepped in office and now your scared to talk about him because of his F7cked idea to hand America and her governence over to the UN. Lets just just not talk about the real issues here and keep bringing up BS from the past that has NOTHING to do with whats really going on TODAY. I have no doubts that your president will get re-elected but there will always be those of us who WILL NOT follow his leadership and elect to fight for what is right. We will see what you think of your president after he hands America over to the UN and abolishes the U.S. Constitution.
How bout this little tid bit. Our economy was in an uphill climb that sustained for 5 years before being sent down a dismal path when a sitting President signed NAFTA and GAFT and other free trade agreements and subsidized major corporations to relocate to China and India and Mexico because he and his VP wanted the USA to get out of manufacturing to save our environment. Then He also relaxed mortgage lending practices so everyone could own a quarter million dollar house.Even people who couldn't afford rent got to own a home and finace 125% of its value. Then in the coming years the next President is faced with a dying economy because the previus administration paid to have jobs gone to save the planet, and the housing industry begins to fail because there are not enough good paying jobs to support the middle class lifestyle created by poor lending regulation and outsourcing of jobs. I wonder was that President a Republican or Democrat who started this ball rolling ? Who was in control before this President screwed things up ?
I am neither Republican nor Democrat. I gave Obama a chance and voted for him but he has done nothing to improve the state of affares we were in when he was elected . At best he has driven us further in debt with no hope of rebounding and abused his power to mandate some major socialistic policies. if we continue down this path I see the US going completely bust.It is time to vote for real change not move Forward on the same path we have been on for decades.Don't vote party line!!!! Cast an informed vote for candidates who you feel best to represent our contries best interests not simply because there is a D or an R beside their name. Only then will we see change. Otherwise it business as usual.
CoCo, I'm curious....do men that iron their jeans also iron their underwear? I've got to believe that any man who has time to iron his jeans would also have time to waste on a whole lot of other things.
Right-wing Republicans....they scary the hell out of me.
Full Speed Ahead, but the bridge to the electorate is out. Lesson for the GOP, you need a centrist party that can have mass appeal. Can't keep alienating voter blocks (gays, minorities, women, middle class, young, old, educated, non-christians, etc. etc.) and relying on obscene money, redistricting schemes, and voter manipluation to try to win elections. As to the economy Forest Grump said it all correctly. Go Forest. The defeat Obama argument is lame, at best, and it doesn't seem that Romney/Ryna hits a comfort level even withint the GOP. Running on a tax the middle class, gut the elderly's medicare, trickle down, and fill in the jobs/budget plan after the election is really not sufficient.
OBAMA / BIDEN for the COUNTRY
romney / ryan for the country club
Mr. Romney,
We know YOU'VE looked at your tax returns. How about letting us see them?
Mr. Ryan,
How's that 2010 Path to Prosperity plan working?
Pstttttttttttt,
That's not why anyone hates him but go ahead and live in your hate filled world and do not look at what is happening around you...........it's easier for the wolves that way. Move to a socialist country and you can have what we are headed for right now! Why wait?
I rest my case. Liberls...come up with some new material; maybe then, someone will care about what you are saying.
Any Business Owner

Should be disgusted by the right wing lunatics for trying to systematic change America from a many class society to a two class society. The Rich and the poor. It's like slave owners controlling their slaves not by states but by a Nation as a whole. Alone the way they are reducing government while working for the government and telling the majority of us who gets some kind of assistance. Weather we like it or not that assistance could be the road your goods or service MUST TRAVEL, the internet which was build with government research grants. (Tax Payers Money). Student Loans, GI bill, Police protection, fire fighters, public school teachers and any thing that is not provided or produced by you.
How can anyone stand by to let these crazies pull it off.
Eliminating public school teachers, firing police officers, eliminating fire fighters, taking away assistance from the poor as if they are going to magically fine a full time jobs paying the medium wage of $49,500 for 100 million people as soon as the eliminate all programs helping these people.
All at the same time giving Trillions of dollars in tax cuts to the rich.
Companies don't hire people because they get a tax cut for personal income or corporate income.
They hire people because of the demand for a product or service. Eliminating any program systematically eliminates the need to provide that service or product due to less income by Americans.
The less people you have to buy a product or service the higher the cost of that product or service.
There is things the free market will never do. Example: An 80 year old woman health insurance.
With an aging population what do you do with all the 80 year Old men or women? Either the family pays for it only if they can afford it, which at this point they can't due to extremely high costs or they die. I suspect most of them will just die.
Here is the other kicker. I am a congress man or woman and I tell you healthcare for all is BAD even the Devil but yet I receive the best healthcare in the world.
Anyone of those congress men or women who voted against the ACA should immediately drop their healthcare coverage due to it being a product of government socialism.
Another issue: Telling a woman who is a victim of RAPE or INCEST they must have the baby even if they can't afford it. You are on your own. Those 32,000 women a year will be dropping off 32,000 children a year in someone's door steps. This will create over a 10 year period 320,000 poor children.
Another issue: For a Presidential Candidate to have Cayman Island and Swiss Bank accounts should give the stupidest person a clue to how that person thinks of any American. What if candidate Obama told you he will not show his tax returns and he had Cayman Island and Swiss Bank accounts? Would he be President today? Hell No, so why consider someone who has them.
Another Issue: Dog Whistle racial codes. If you think for a minute African Americans are stupid enough not to pick up these code words which they have heard for 450 years you are either stupid as hell or you don't give a flying F-N because you are a racist. Example of what we heard from the code words:
"You people" = Those Black N'er
"Un American" = Slave brought to this Country
"European Socialist veiws" = The Slaves that we brought here adopted the England/Europe Social policies and want to make us an English Colony again.
"Food Stamp President" = Want to give lazy black people money for sitting on a couch.
"The Most Dangerous President in History" = He will take everything you got and give it to black people.
"Its my turn to be President" = I was and will be your master so move aside.
I'm just saying that when you exhibit behaviors that 99% of the people don't while trying to not appear to be one of the 1% you're accused of being, it comes across as somewhere between ironic and hypocritical. Little things like that have a subliminal effect and I doubt I'm the first one to have had that reaction. I can imagine a lot of blue collar guys reading that and reacting the same way.
If you iron your jeans, that's fine, and a lot of people do, but it puts you in a small minority. The vast majority of people (guys at least) definitely do not and when you're trying to present yourself as one of the regular folks, that's a dead giveaway that you're not.
At least he does have the good sense to unbutton his collar when he doesn't wear a tie. That could be a deal breaker for a lot of people in an unconscious kind of way.

I'll take that bet Bruce, but no food stamps or government checks. Cash only.
Bruce: Have you forgotten, or didn't you know. the Obama's pre-election "wage tax" (FICA) cut, which decreased contributions to Social Security, giving increased pay checks to all workers, expires January 1, 2013 right after the election and your pay check will shrink again.
So you may not have the Ten Thousand to bet in 2013.

Tell you what!
It's only 30 minutes, available online, and was made by the Newt Gingrich SuperPac - Winning Our Future.

BTW, Newt will be a featured speaker at The GOP Convention, on Thursday between 7 and 8 PM. His speech is listed on the GOP Agenda as follows:
Remarks by former House Speaker and GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich and wife Callista Gingrich
I've seen this when it first was released - I think everyone that has yet to see
should see it. Romney is simply a phony.
Annie said only the little people pay taxes, my man uses Vaseline on the IRS, Romney family values !!!!!!!!!!!!!
With all the LIES Romney and his minions are spreading , I think I'll skip the 30 minute PROPOGANDA film on his life. If he has some workable plan for our future, why does he have to resort to such a litany of LIES to make his case to be our next President?
More for the rich who can then give more to Republican candidates who can then spend $100's of millions to tell us how giving them more will make us better off. Their slogan in the future is going to be "WE OWN THIS COUNTRY". I bet our Founding Fathers would think "we did not fight for independence from the King and his Lords just to have their rule replaced with THE RICH MEN or THE BILLIONAIRES CLUB.

LOL !! For now, it's nothing more than a circle jerk competition to see who can come up with the cutest, nastiest little lines.
Meanwhile, Obama has failed to reduce unemployment below 8.2%, failed to reduce the national debt as promised and totally failed to produce a budget as required by law .... ALL while our country is $16 trillion in debt !!!
" Romney and his delegates gamed many of the rules at state conventions to get an outsized delegation on the floor of the convention."
Romney games everything....that's why we want to see his tax returns!
You got that right, Bubba. You've been busy disuniting this country for going on four years. And then you have the audacity to blame us of dividing.
Yea, we know what your one and only mission is. To remove the first non white with exclusive northern European heritage and make sure he knows it. Nothing about making the country better or getting our economy back to where it once was. That's because you Republican morons destroyed it in the first place. Hope you don't think your fooling anyone or changing minds. Those behind you were already there. One last thing. Take a good look at the delegates and those in attendance as spectators and tell me what you see. I'm going out on a limb and saying nothing but a sea of white faces. Many of those with aged faces and gray hair. No surprise there. So enjoy your 3 day hate fest, but remember we're up next and will have the last word. Republicans have given so much of their rights & freedom away that they don't know what it means to be free. They can't think for themselves. Misguided. They're trapped in their ideology and will never see that what they are doing is dividing this country and the saddest part of this statement is they really don't care. Who was it that said - "they cling to their religion and guns"...I mean Jesus - that couldn't be more true. I am truly terrified of a Republican run country...God save us all!

Couldn't agree more. For the first time in my 61 years on this earth I fear for the liberties and freedoms our country provides.
Notice when there is any bad news about America..the repubs stand up and cheer?...Why?
Ryan pledged the night Obama was elected to vote against any bill that would make President Obama look good. Pledged to vote against America. First Ryan takes the oath of his office pledging to America, then he takes the King Norquist pledge against America and pledges to protect the greedy rich, then he pledges against the President and America. I call that treason. He should be removed from office. Like George Bush Senior said..."Who the hell is Norquist anyways?"
Vote Obama/Biden 2012 Protect America from people who vote against America like Paul Ryan.
On 60 minutes it shows how Norquist works with the republicans. Bragging he tells a politician what he wants out of him. If you can't deliver, you won't win your election. If you do agree to my terms, I have the money so you will win the election. A republican even said Norquist is dangerous for America. It makes you wonder how many republican politicians are puppets to him.
deb.....Even old man Bush can't stand Norquist...Bush Sr. is ticked that repubs pledged to NO quist. Like Bush Sr. said, " "Who the hell is Norquist anyway!"
Sueb1: @ 4: How about Obama's repeated disregard for the Constitutional powers granted to the Legislative branch and usurping them with his "executive orders", disregard of the "War Powers Act" his endorsement of Harry Reid's not allowing any congressional bill to reach the Senate floor and the spending of taxpayer money without Legislative approval. The man is not a President, he acts more like a dictator.
GOP Convention, Fly Swatters are sold out !!!!!!!!
Obama said that in 2008 pertaining to people in northwest Pennsylvania. I live in NW PA and he couldnt be more correct.
Gil, Pres. Obama was a Constitutional Law professor. He knows the LAW and respects it. You must listen to the legal "experts?" on fox news.
For example, let's take Obama's recent changes to welfare's work requirement which now requires a minimum of 20% higher job placement for welfare recipients before changes can be made permanent.
Bill Clinton said he allowed states flexibility in implementing his Welfare Reform law and that the law allows for such flexibility.
The President under the Constitution is given the authority to "faithfully execute" the Laws. Many laws are intentionally written to give power to the President to execute the laws in a flexible manner which allows for troubleshooting and improved performance of said laws.
Sometimes the law can be vague about who has authority over changes to the law. This is why we have a judicial branch to our government. Any action by the President or Congress can be challenged in the courts. This is intended to resolve the dispute. Our Founding Fathers were wise. You are not.
The "faithfully execut[ing]" the laws clause does not grant to the Present any power to ignore the laws - such as directing the Attorney General to ignore illegal immigrants, and not co-operate with enforcement of the law. My God a bunch of them went to Washington admitting they were illegals, demanding benefits, and neither the Justice Department of Obama did anything to them -- they should have been rounded up for deportation. How about defying the War Powers Act. Those are just two examples, which even you might understand.
As far as being a Constitutional Law Professor and having gone to Law School how could he possible forget Marbury v Madison which is often the first case read and the first case taught, when he said it was "unprecedented" for the Court to hold an duly enacted Act of Congress unconstitutional. Does he now suffer from dementia. (Are you arguing that?) Even, Obama's own Attorney General, Holder, in his letter response to the 5th Circuit could not uphold "the Law Professor's" statement. He creates what he finds convenient at the time to bolster his argument. In practice lawyers can't get away with that, in politics they can, and do, until they get caught and still there are those that who believe what he says. Not to to mention that the Liberal media will support such asininity. Neither NBC, ABC, CBS or any other liberal media published Holder's embarrassing letter, despite previously ranting over the 5th Circuits Order that the Justice Department write one. Google "Holder letter 5th circuit" and you can find a links to the letter, itself, and observe the lack of Liberal recognition that it even exists.
As far as access to the Courts, is concerned access is extremely slow, and some of the issues raised regarding his Executive Orders will have become moot before they get there; the damage may have already done and/or Obama will be out of office. For instance, a challenge to "cash for clunkers" would have been impossible.
No, I do not believe that Obama respects the law. I think he does whatever he wishes as he knows he can get away with it.

Nice distortion Sueb1, taking words out of context and then attaching your quote remarks around it !
The sentence is vague and poorly-written (re-read it again) .... you actually cannot tell if Paul has gamed the system or if he thinks Romney gamed the system.
Who does "his" refer to ? The writers of this article should be ashamed on their lack of clarity.
Mike-416 - I remember when Obama made the statement....and when he said it...I was like wow! Ballsy....but damned true. Look, I don't hate those who choose to be part of the Republican Party. I don't like Republican Party values. Republican Party are not Christian values and their overall ideology is distorted and flawed. OBAMA/BIDEN - 2012!
The ability to recover from adversity (like Isaac) is the difference between leaders and followers. The GOP will get the job done despite the set-back by mother nature. That in itself is why we need the Republicans in charge.
Vote a straight Republican ticket! (Not a gay Democrat one)
Take a look at the City of New Orleans and tell me about what a great job a Republican being in charge did.
I sincerely hope no one is severely damaged by Isaac.
I am very glad we did not have a Republican in charge. If we did, there would be no FEMA available to help the people and communities all over the Gulf Coast (Tampa included) recover from Isaac.
Dirp, how did that BP thing in the Gulf go? How quick was Obama on that? talk about recovery LOL. Obama and recovery don't belong in the same sentence
Let's see if I get this right with BP--Pres. Obama shouldn't interfere with the capitalistic process of how BP worked, so it was wrong for his administration to make BP use proper safety precautions when drilling near the US coast. But of course when BP f*cked up, he was supposed to run right out there and clean everything up for them, without a) raising taxes to pay for it, b), using BP's own money, c) or raising the deficit to pay for it. Oh, and he should apologize to them for being mad that they ruined the lives of many US citizens and other US businesses.
Did I miss anything?
Hmmm...You mean the way bushco helped New Orleans and the Gulf Coast after Katrina? Yeah...that was some real help. He held the death count down to 1600 people. Of course, they were poor blacks so that's actually only like 10 or 15 "regular" people. And he was flying over N.O. in Air Force One at 35,000 ft less than 2 days later. He had water to those people in less than a week-5 days as I recall. Now that's disaster response. By all means, let's put them back in charge.
Anyone remember this famous quote?
"Ol' Brownie here's doin' a heckuva job!"
I'll give you a clue: He fired ol'Brownie a few days later.
@ Scarius Arrggusting...if your reich wing jackasses hadn't gutted MMS and put compliance with safety issues on an honor basis, it would never have happened. Are you really this stupid or just acting like it to give us a laugh. It must be an act. No one is really that stupid. So it's Obama's fault for not fixing your screw-ups fast enough enough though you jackels and hyenas have been trying to stop him every step of the way. You know, it's a criminal act to interfere with firemen at a fire scene. It seems odd that you DBs think it's okay in politics.
Republicans know how to recover from adversity, are you kidding? People died after Katrina because the republicans could not get bottled water to them for over 3 days. Geezus the Girl Scouts can deliver several million boxes of cookies in three days, had the Girl Scouts been in charge those people would have had milk and cookies inside of the time it took Bush and Brownie to get bottled water to them.
Good point Forrest. Girl Scouts have got my vote.
Forrest
Katrina was the biggest storm to hit the coast in decades. The areas with the highest damage are lowlands which should never have been built upon. The primary responsibility for dealing with storm effects is first the city or parrish, then the state, then the federal government.
It was not the Republicans who could not get bottled water to the people, it was FEMA, an agency staffed by bureaucrats. In many cases their efforts were slowed by the local bureaucrats and hangers-on. Yes, maybe it could have been handled better, and I'm sure FEMA has learned from the experience.
Forrest you're not too bright are you? Don't you think that their Mayor did anything to help? You know the Chocolate City Mayor? Didn't he run to Houston and left his people to suffer?
Harry
FEMA learned from the experience? Up to Katrina FEMA did a great job getting help where needed. It it's up to the Repubs there would be no FEMA. They don't like funding anything that might actually help people in need. You know, that whole 'bootstrap' thing. Of course, those who really NEED the help aren't the Republican baedeker though, are they? Certainly can't help those who aren't 'in the club'. That's 'welfare' and a no-no.
Repub plan for years....
1. Spend like drunken republicans. Put laws in place, (wars that give repubs war profits that can't be ended) don't fund laws enacted , kick financing them down the road, No child, donut hole etc,
2. When democrat president holds office scream about the deficit and make them pay for the programs repubs never funded.
3. New twist...take the Norquist pledge to keep from increasing taxes so Dems can't fix repub problem.
YOU GET STUCK WITH CUTS TO PROGRAMS THAT BENEFIT the middle class, while repubs hold the nation hostage for more tax breaks for the rich Romneys!
Pretty simple plan...and it is working...unless you vote NO TO REPUBS so we can make the GREEDY RICH PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE!
@Paul-Florida, mayor negan was in Texas when Katrina hit. Typical sissy democrat.
Franks....you talking about the night Katrina hit New Orleans...you know ....that same day Bush flew west to visit Sen John McCain to give him a birthday cake and sing Happy Birthday to him while people were dying and losing everything they owned in New Orleans and surrounding area? Then from Arizona Bush flew to California for a campaigning wing ding! You remember that don't ya Franks.....? All those dead and suffering people and the guy you wanted to have a beer with was going from party to party!
Romney lost to Palin, who with Mccain lost to Obama/Biden. Romney the pitiful last....No one responsible wants to be the republican candidate. King Norquist said he "only needs someone to sign the documents"......FOR GREEDY RICH PEOPLE!
Hey dirp, the mayor of New Orleans was a democrat when Katrina hit. And a moron too. Shut up your face when you are ignorant.
dsb
Your generalizations about the Republican party follow all the democrat talking points for this election. Please show me specifically where the Republicans proposed to cut out FEMA. You can't, because there is no such plans.
Please also define"baedeker" as used in your post. I've a feeling you mispelled something, but I can't tell what.
As far as Republicans not wanting to help anyone who isn't "in the club"; if you could look with an objective eye--at the Ryan budget for example--you would see your statement is grossly erroneous.
Why are you all focusing on ancient History (Bush) and not the present f@@k ups of Obama. Shall we go back to Jimmy Carter or LBJ's raping the Social Security Trust Fund.
The only question at issue is : Do we want another 4 years of Obama or do want Romney? That is it.
Obama has proven himself to be a f@@k up (particularly in his first do nothing first two years when he had control of both houses and his horribly slow response to BP (ignoring it at first) and squandering taxpayer money (look at "cash for clunkers" for just one example). Under Obama the GDP has increased only 1.7%, coming out of this recession while in each of the previous five recessions growth has be between 13% and 15%. It is obvious that he knows little if anything about economics.
On the other hand little is known about Romney, except that he knows economics. In other areas if elected he may equal Obama's dismal record (the record that Obama is afraid to campaign on) but the primary area that must be repaired is the economy. Little can move forward unless that is done first.
Look at the two candidates and make an intelligent decision. Forget about who chopped down the cherry tree.
so what if the mayor was a dem. the governor and the president were both republicans at the time, fema's director was appointed by George W. the mayor doesn't control fema, nor the national guard...
Paul RyRand setup the GOP Convention like a death camp to Cleanse the Florida Seniors, nice way to save on the Vouchers !!!!!!!!!
And neither does Caesar Augustus and intelligent post.
You cry about the government being to intrusive yet whine when they arent there to wipe your arse. You are clueless.
During Katrina, if Bush's advisers had tuned to a channel other than Fox, they would have seen the plight of those people at the Convention Center (full coverage on CNN). Instead, they watched Fox cover the looting in New Orleans while not covering the fiasco at the convention center and the Bush spokesman admitted not even knowing about the Convention Center (thought it was the Superdome) over 24 hours after full coverage by CNN of Convention Center fiasco began.
People, that is why it is important to vary your news source.
Furthermore, the Bush Administration was debating what legal authority they had in dealing with Katrina when they should have been dealing with it. They were totally unprepared. They failed to plan ahead for a major emergency, this almost 4 years after 9-11. That is what I call bad government, really bad government.

jimsepa
thanks and , uh, no. It's unfortunate that when a person on the left feels threatened by the truth they resort to name calling.
My statemenrt shows what is right with the Republican party and what (in part) is wrong with the Democrats.
I didn't realize that farmers, defense contractors and oil companies were part of Obama's base. Those are the biggest welfare queens out there.
The average farm family has a net income of $80,000 and the federal government pays direct subsidies averaging $25,000 per farm. A farm can get this every year.
The average federal welfare (TANF) subsidy is less than $1,000 per covered family and it is temporary assistance.
But Mr. Romney targets the working poor on welfare.
In fact, Romney was one of 29 Republican governors who signed a letter to HHS in 2005 asking Congress for even more expansive waivers to the work requirement.
Dragon: are you JUST discovering the Republican plan ?
It really is a very simple, if insidious, plan: destroy the middle class, let the poor DIE, give all the money from the middle class and poor to the wealthy. President Obama was absolutely correct ROMNEYHOOD.
If you are making less than $200,000 a year, you would have to be brain dead to vote Republican.
ZOMBIES for ROMNEY/RYAN 2012 !!!
This is very true. I heard a very disturbing piece on NPR this weekend where they interviewed one of the Wisconsin delegates for the GOP Convention...she is currently unemployed, but formerly worked for a fast food restaurant.
She explained that when the economy went bad, people stopped going to their fast food restaurant, and she lost her job about a year ago.
Although she has submitted at 12-14 applications to other fast food restaurants in the area, she's only had 1 interview. (As an aside, this number pales in comparison to the hundreds of resumes/applications that most Americans each submitted after the Great Recession of 2008).
Naturally, she blamed Obama for the economy (even though the Stimulus was loaded with state & federal funding for the Unemployment Compensation benefits this woman was likely receiving) and was instead voting for Romney.
Of course, given his track record of job creation (Staples, Sports Authority, etc...) this woman may actually be better off getting a mindless, minimum wage job under Romney.
Dragon
My brother-in-law is a farmer. Has been all his life. He has never gotten any subsidies. Not one penny. Those go to the big conglomerates.
I think its just rich farmers and corporate farms that get this help. It takes time, know-how, and money to pay the expert to fill out those darn applications for Federal aid. I have a small business and I have never taken one penny from a government grant program. I just don't have the time and I assume, perhaps incorrectly, that it is not worth the effort.
But I do know that I would rather help feed the hungry (through my taxes and the programs they fund) than put the truly needy in such a desperate circumstance that they would be more likely to commit a crime to feed their family and end up in prison at a cost of $25,000 + per year (the Republican PLAN, I presume).
It's pathetic that the RNC is all about making Romney "likeable". If only the public knew how warm a heartless guy like him can be, he'd be winning! He's not winning because all he has to offer is the same old failed Bush policies. We don't trust him to look out for anyone but himself. I live in FLA and the economy has really picked up and I can not afford to go backward!
Obama backed a law which promotes infanticide.
It doesn't get any more heartless than that.

Bull ****. You can't just make stuff up.....it works for the conservative circle **** you may participate in, but, it doesn't fly with the majority of people.
Another uninformed drone telling me I make stuff up.
Why don't you google it?
I know why. Either you're afraid of what you will actually find out about Obama...or you don't care.
BTW.....LOTS of people have found out who the failure-in-chief is. His policies, the people he surrounds himself with, his past acquaintances. His incompetence is on display for the whole world to judge, and he is judged unfit.
@Conservative Rebellion
Actually, it does. Telling a rape victim that she must have her rapist's baby and then fight with him over custody and child support is more heartless. Forcing a woman to bring a child into the world under the most adverse of circumstances like these and then telling the child," YOU'RE OWN YOUR OWN,PUNK!"...that's pretty friggin heartless. Telling poor people to feed their children from the city dump is pretty heartless. It seems odd that you care for the unborn but don't give a rat's ass for the born.
I think REVOLTING CONSERVATIVE would be a better handle for you
Thomas...
You hit the nail on the head. These are the worst of people....they will take their "high horse" saying they are for life. Then they will willingly take health insurance away from poor sick kids or food out of the mouths of disadvantaged children.
These people are scumbags. What's worst is that many of these people claim to be "Christians"....even though every breath they breathe and action they take is contrary to the Bible they say they hold so dear.
Dr. You are correct Sir......How can repubs claim to be Christians then throw the elderly to the wolves with their privatizing health care to the point of telling them to just die? Like the Teabaggers screamed out during the repub debates.....them them die if they can't afford health care. Repubs scream about letting women be raped and no matter what, forcing them to have a baby if they become pregnant, then if the woman has an abortion they want to put her and everyone involved in jail! Cutting food stamps from starving children, cutting benefits from Veterans after they die and others are wounded and still dying, families torn apart because of the fake war their soldiers had to fight in....cut benefits to the needy? How cruel is that? What is worse is they cut benefits to give that money to the rich Romneys in new tax breaks. Our veterans deserve better than what repubs are doing to them!
ROMNEY EVEN LIES TO HIS OWN PARTY!!!
During repub debates...all candidates told Romney they wanted to se his taxes, Romney said he would show them. LIAR! Now that he is top of the manure pile he decides he will not show them...ROMNEY EVEN LIES TO HIS OWN PARTY!!!
http://www.factcheck.org/2012/02/did-elite-media-ignore-infanticide/
"We noted that the issue centered on Obama’s opposition to Illinois legislation in 2001, 2002 and 2003 that would have defined any aborted fetus that showed signs of life as a “born alive infant” entitled to legal protection, even if doctors believed it could not survive."
"Obama also noted that Illinois law already required physicians to protect the life of a fetus when there is “a reasonable likelihood of sustained survival of the fetus outside the womb, with or without artificial support.”"
Looks like the same old spin and conjecture by you jeopardy contestants. You people are clowns.
REALLY Read these liberal posts. Are these sadistic, hateful, uninformed the representation of the entire Democratic party? Are these really the type of people that Obama attracts? OMG.
Go back and READ!
CoCo, that seems to be the case. By the way, Fiesty is almost always first because posting is her job. She is an MSNBC plant. Also, you can seldom reply to one of her post. She is so full of venom.
Those in glass houses...
Go back and read some your ilk's posts. Just as hateful with a heaping tablespoon of ignorance.
Another drone pushing Fictioncheck.org. NOBODY with half a mind takes them seriously. They lean left. They are biased to the left. They are easily discounted.
Thomas Blue, you idiot, NO ONE in America is required to birth the child of rape. Do you understand that fact? Apparently, you are a total idiot. No hope for you, your mother should have exercised her right of abortion and did the world a favor. One less brain dead drone with little hope of self sufficiency.
But, in Illinois, thanks to the likes of the infanticide promoters such as Obama, if a baby survived the attempt to kill it during late term abortion, then it was either mercilessly put down right then or left to starve. Obama actually said, "it is the mother's health right, her mental health".
But you people make a good argument for rounding you up and making you mules. You have no compassion, no sympathy, for the most innocent of us, WTF good are you?
Only because Liberals are out their protecting the right of women to exercise control over their own bodies.
Oh, goody...maybe Santorum can tell you that whopper about how President Obama "gutted" welfare reform...you know, the one where HHS does EXACTLY what Republican Governors like George Pataki, Tim Pawlenty, Jeb Bush and...uh...who was the Governor of Massachusetts then...oh, yeah...Mitt Romney asked HHS to do.
Uninformed is no way to go thru life. Holding your hand out isn't either.
Even those on the left with a shred of integrity left will tell you that the new policies will gut the law. I'm not really sure that applies to those who work at NBC. I haven't seen them report the facts yet.
Of course, you wouldn't know. Being a paid troll and all.
Con....
There hasn't been one independent fact checker that says the Welfare claim by Romney is true....not one. Crawl out from underneath your rock and read a paper for God's sake.
The irony of this whole thing is that the requests came from 2 conservative governors and was also requested in 2005 by guess who? Governor Romney! Don't believe me...here it is for you:
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/08/us/politics/romney-accuses-obama-of-taking-work-out-of-welfare-law.html
You sir, are a joke.
Dr "logic". (boy, that's a hoot). No governor ever requested to drop the welfare to work requirement. When you cite the NY Times you should consider the source. They are a left leaning joke.
Be bold, seek an opinion which actually analyzes the policy without seeking to distort the fact and spin it to shine a favorable light on Obama the Inept. Don't cite me a group of drones who dream of the crease in Obama's slacks. Read it with an open mind.
Go to heritage.org.
Here is what Steve Chapman of the Chicago Tribune (I know, a real right-wing rag, and Steve really leans right, just kidding) wrote recently:
And those neo-nazis at the Brookings Institute? Who would've thunk it?
Of course, you being really, really, really informed, know that the Brookings Institute and Steve Chapman lean left.
But, hey, I really appreciate the effort to give me the useless NY Times article.
Con...
Ah yes....the classic GOP tactic....when posed with arguments, discard them as bias. Call them "liberal rags" and untrustworthy....but if that same source happens to agree with you, quote it as gospel. You folks haven't changed for the last 2 decades.
Newflash for you....Steve Chapman is a CONSERVATIVE (surprise, surprise) columnist that was published in the Tribune. I know this is foreign to you folks...but differing political stripes can actually be published in the same paper or radio/tv program. I realize that ain't the way it works for CONservative TV or radio...but real adults hear both sides before rendering decisions.
Just in case you think I am making it up...here is a description of Steve Chapman from the 'left leaning' townhall.com (ha ha...I can do it too):
http://townhall.com/columnists/stevechapman/
This is the problem with you folks....you don't do your homework.
Again champ....give me an INDEPENDENT opinion about the welfare to work claim....don't bother there ain't any out there.
http://www.factcheck.org/2012/08/does-obamas-plan-gut-welfare-reform/
Check out about 1/2 way down the article....the guy you claim (Ron Haskins) is used to argue FOR Obama's policy! Wow....more bull **** from a so called "conservative": shocking.
You look like a blabbering idiot.
Oops. While Doctor Logic accuses Conservative Republican of discarding an argument because it is based on a biased source, Doctor Logic does the exact same thing by discarding Mr. Chapman's article because he's a conservative. It's so rare to accuse and be guilty in the same exact post. Funny.
An independent opinion on the welfare to work claim could be one's own reasoning if one has the ability to reason. Who needs a source?
The language used in the order grants states flexibility to make their own rules. The complaint is that it's too costly to track recipients and do all the paperwork. Without tracking procedures, the states can't be sure applicants are looking for work. HHS can't track progress to enforce the 20% increase rule. Therefore the another law that was in place has become meaningless and unenforceable. All with the stroke of an Executive pen.
So....you didn't go to heritage.org. The best explanation out there. Care to explain why?
Factcheck.org has been proven to lean left. It's no secret. They've actually been called out on it and no one gives them much credence outside of the people who use them to back their agenda. Why do you keep citing the echo chamber? I gave you the best independent source out there but because they don't agree with the left, you and your ilk label them "right wingers". It's actually quite funny.
The Brookings Institute (noticed you made no attempt to claim them as being "right") supported Ron Haskins analysis. They actually sought him out to participate. But, by all means, let your bias keep you from the facts. LALALALALALA as you hold your hands over your ears. Keep focusing on the length of Obama's zipper, that feeling that they've lied to you will pass.
I never said he was Chuck Todd left. But, where do you get conservative out of that? Ever read anything else he's written?
I gave you two sources who backed my assertion that the policy Obama has enacted can indeed strip the work requirement from the law. There are more if you cared to find out. You, like the other Obamanoids, pretend it isn't so because the actual wording in the law was not changed, but the fact of the matter is the Obama administration has, in fact, created the conditions to neuter the law. It's really quite amusing that, because certain people are incapable of connecting the dots that they think everyone else is.
There's not enough of you to get him re-elected.
CON...servative....you are embarrassing yourself ....only Fox news agrees with your version....and as I have said many a time...do search on Fox news dumber...people who watch Fox news are actually dumber after watching Fox news.....
Candice-
Umm, sorry Candice....if you read the context of our argument, I was merely stating that Chapman was a conservative because it was suggested that he was a liberal by Con.
I'll let the brilliance of that statement stand on its own. It does crystallize the problem with the Republican party however...
Con....
I didn't mention the Heritage Foundation link because that one is so blatently biased. The Heritage Foundation even states itself it is a conservative think tank.
That is abjectly absurd. You gave me 2 conservatives....one's opinion whcih was used by an actual fact check website to do the contrary of what you are saying. Fact check.org is 'left leaning'? What planet do you live on?
Isn't it funny that you....supposedly 'Mr. Conservative' are arguing AGAINST flexibility given to the states in favor of a big Federal program?! So next time you clowns argue for a state's rights on an issue....Medicaid, abortion, education etc.., you're completely full of ****...right?
CR, the Heritage Foundation is about as far right as you can get. They wouldn't know the real truth if it bit them on the rear. It is essentially an Evangelical Christian organization and wants to throw out the portion of Christ's teachings that say "feed the hungry, heal the sick, care for the poor" and "he who is without sin, cast the first stone" in favor of "starve the hungry, let the sick die, tell the poor it's their fault and they will get no help" and "Cast away, boys! It's her own fault since she's a woman and doesn't have a whole lot of opportunities".
Con...
I am glad you pressed me a little bit on this the welfare/work requirement. The more I read the more I am absolutely convinced you are just another right wing hack.
The clown show you quote as your "independent sources" are not only completely dependent on the GOP....their arguments are tepid at best.
Haskins himself WANTS more flexibility to the states....
My favorite line in Chapman's "argument"....
"We can hope that in revamping the regulations, Obama will make a good program better. But he could also make it worse."
Wow, what a scathing indictment! (sarcasm)
ROFL!!!!!
So, "Conservative Rebellion", the best you can do with your "You're Using Biased Sources" argument is to use your own biased sources???
The Heritage Foundation?
First of all, have you even bothered to read the actual text of the memo in question?
www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/ofa/policy/im-ofa/2012/im201203/im201203.html
Here, I'll even give you an excerpt...
Gee...looks like they're not going to let you slack off on work requirements if you get a waiver.
"DoctorLogic" gives you factcheck.org. You call it "left-leaning". Why, because you don't like the answer?
I suppose this also won't convince you...
www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2012/aug/07/mitt-romney/mitt-romney-says-barack-obamas-plan-abandons-tenet/
Even Newt Gingrich, when challeneged on Mitt Romney's "Obama Will Gut Welfare Reform" ad couldn't fully support it when he said, "We have no proof today." What, is Gingrich now "in the tank" for Obama?
Let me get this straight...
NY time is too left leaning but the heritage foundation is completely politically neutral? LOL! You people are clowns.
The Heritage Foundation is a billionaire funded think tank designed to develop Republican strategies and to defend anything Republican from attack by critics. It is basically another PROPOGANDA arm of the Republican Party.
Quoting anything from them is like quoting the Communist Manifesto to Karl Marx. Biased beyond belief.
So, you are saying it is similar to Media Matters being totally in the tank for Obama ?
Incidentally, I forgot to mention this before, but if you're one of those information devoid voters who plan on voting for Romney for president then you probably are an idiot.
(A political parody song by Bruce-1628250, sung to the tune of "I Wish I Were an Oscar Mayer Wiener!")
Did some one mention Republicans and mother nature in the same sentence? How about New Orleans and the hurricane Katrina, the fantastic job they did. WaaOOOOO.
Yeah, Ray Nagen and Kathleen Blanco really screwed the pooch on that one. It's a good thing the federal govt was there to help those people after the State's Democratic leadership really f***ed things up.
You're embarassing yourself, son. Close your mouth. You're drawing flies. The F in FEMA stands for FEDERAL. Responding to disasters is all they do. Go crack a book, butch. They didn't respond. It works like this: The feds anticipate a disaster, they stand by, the locals call, FEMA sends help. The locals called for help and bush and Brownie were too busy to help. Are you really this stupid?
Thomas, he is right on target ..... Ray Nagin blew the call and when New Orleans was flooded, the mayor took a vacation in the Caribbean. THE LOCALS DID NOT CALL ... they did not have the common sense to recognize the disastrous potential that awaited them. Then the Gov of Louisiana was late in making the call. Federal troops do not have authority to come in until requested by local authorities.
You need to look in the mirror when asking your last question.
Good post Patty. We won't forget that Bush Jr. and Cheney caused all of the economic hardship this proud country faces today.
Btw, Gov. Sandoval from Nevada (my state) will speak tomorrow night about how bad the economy in Nevada is, but, in the newspaper last week he wrote a column about how much the economy in Nevada is improving and how all the signs are pointing to better times. Wants to cover all the bases, I guess.
My God, four years later and Bush is still getting all the blame. Obama Care is Bush's fault.
Please stop that excuse already. It is not working anymore, look at the polls.
They are not grown up enough to take responsibility. It has to be somone elses fault because they intended it to work.
Are you saying that when Bush left office we werent hemorrhaging 900,00 jobs a month? Are you saying leverage limits for banks werent increased during his tenure as pres? Are you saying Bush did not allow the banking industry complete freedom to do as they please regarding derivatives and credit default swaps?
I look forward to the thoughtful addresses to the American people that we will no doubt be privileged to witness. As opposed to the debacle which will be held in Charlotte. Where they will probably be handing out condoms, needles, and copies of "Rules for Radicals" by one of Obama's heroes. On the night ol' molestin' Bill is there, pants optional. I wonder if Anthony Weiner will be there in a trench coat?
Just wondering.....Is a pair of scissors considered an assault weapon? You know...the ones Romney used back in school when his gang of thugs assaulted that student and held him down while Romney assaulted the guy by cutting off his hair? ....Yeah....that pair of scissors...assault weapon or not?...Why didn't Romney get put in jail for that? Riding daddy's coat tails? ROMNEY THE ASSAULTER!
In Ohio ex Amish attacked other Amish people and forcibly cut their hair off. Now it is a hate crime. Some may do 20 yrs for the hate crime. What about Romney?.......Fake apology not accepted........Because he is rich he didn't go to jail!
Vote President Obama/Biden 2012
Yeah. And then we can look forward to 4 more years of Obama trying to fix the mess your boys caused and probably more obstruction from the teabagging traitors. Enjoy, skippy!!
i dont know who will be passing out the viagra and atlas shrugged cliff notes, but larry craig will be in tampa passing out condoms.
Unconcerned Citizen---I guess we should blame the bogus Iraq war, and the tax cuts for people like Romney that exploded the deficit on president Obama correct?
You guys are so logical, I apologize.
your statement makes no sense
It is pathetic that the RNC is all about making Romney likeable. It's an example of how the Republicans cave to the media and DNC - and let the media and DNC steer the national conversation.
It doesn't matter if Governor Romney is likeable, or sweet, or funny or cool or warm, or handsome or charming or perfectly spoken. That he is capable is all that matters.
We've had "likeable" and now we need results.
The media underestimates the thought capabilities and priorities of the people. As long as the Repubs fall for this, go for "likeable" instead of capable, they will contribute to the decline of our celebrity over substance society and lose focus of the important issues.
Get a grip, Republicans! There's more at stake.
.
Funny...ain't it........repubs heads explode over Illegal aliens taking American Job. Well I don't like it either.
The funny part is, repubs complain about union job holders. These union job holders set the bar for wages and benefits across the board for all workers. Yep, wages, vacation, overtime pay, sick pay, health care, etc.
So these repubs were talked into hating and trying to destroy their friends, relatives, and neighbor 's union jobs by the rich 1% in order to divide Americans so they can get more profits off the middle class and poor.
Imagine that...repubs are just like the illegal aliens that take away jobs from Americans. They have become the enemy in the instant that they preach hate against their fellow American job holders. Voting against their own self interests. The ol shooting themselves in the foot to spite their nose! Like a bull that only walks backwards and steps in his own B.S.
Kinda funny the way those repubs think huh?
Obama/Biden 2012
I hope the Republican National Constipation goes exactly as planned starting tomorrow. If it does, they will show the entire country at once exactly what a bunch of hateful, bigoted, double talkers they are.

Obama/Biden 2012
to Candice and Oneof the Sane -
Under Obama we have had 42 consecutive months of unemployment over 8%, our Nation lost our triple A credit rating over a year ago, our National debt is $16 trillion and the only nation that has a higher debt to GDP ratio is Greece - and you want 4 more years ??
yes, Candice, you are right ! There IS more at stake - a LOT more !!
Romney/ Ryan - our only hope as a Nation !!
@ Good Ol' Fool...
Since all you have is name calling, stupidity and lies for an argument, let me help you out with some facts.
No President has ever inherited 2 unfunded wars, and near total economic collapse, which BTW can be attributed to Dubya, like Obama did. Much of the accumulated debt is because of those unfunded wars.
Nowhere on Obama's watch have we lost 650-700K jobs a month, another Bush accomplishment. The mess that the idiot Dubya left is quite unlike any other in history and Obama stopped the bleeding and has 29 months of straight job growth.
Also, thank your Repuke House for our credit rating downgrade. S&P stated that fact themselves.
Last fact... you can suck my dick.
The Romney review.......Oh how fondly I remember the flip flops and lies of Romney this summer. Like this one.....the guy can look right into the camera and lie....but everyone knows it is a lie..his lips are moving. Reminds me of the character Frank Burns in "Mash." Let us journey back in time to the days of yore with Mr. Pander pants.
Romney caught again misleading public.
Romney had a speech set up with we built it sign in background. He had several people at table saying THEY built their business w/out help. OOOPS The guy to the left, took almost 3 million to get his company going,. Guy to right...$41,000 loan to get him going....from the ...GOVERNMENT!....No they didn't build it. OOPS!
Romney liar in chief. Wants to be king, but the job open is for president.
Vote Obama/Biden 2012
So... you running the risk of being hypocritical means you were equally critical of Reagan when he ran an average of 7.5% unemployment throughout his presidency? Right?

Vote R&R
The fact that the RNC has to "reintroduce" their candidate for president speaks volumes to me. It either says that most in the GOP have not been paying any real attention to who their candidate is going to be, or that the RNC knows that they have to "sell" their candidate to the base. Either way just shows that even the party leaders don't have much faith in Romney, and then he goes and chooses Paul "Rand" as his VP.

ConnieReb, Do you eat BEEF?
If you do, and if you ever make a trip to India, don't tell them about it.
Different cultures idiot. Vietnamese, Koreans, Chinese all eat dog as well as other Asian cultures. You ever travel to SE Asia? Did you eat in any of their restaurants? If so, that burger you had was probably canine. Idiot!
Alrighty then! You loo-hoo-hoo-hoo-ser!
concern,
I am glad we have the ACA as law. It is the first law since Harry Truman proposed universal heathcare for all of our citizens.
The law will provide affordable health care for millions of the uninsured over the next few years. it has already helped young people under 26 years of age, children with pre-existing conditions, and yes seniors on Medicare.
Meidcare program will now provide annual exams, many preventive tests, closing the donut hole for drugs coverage and bend the cost curve for the wasteful Advantage supplement insurance, and the revolving door of hospitals/transition care by giving incentives to hospitals to reduce the number of readmits with 30 days of the first hospital stay .
Not to mention that it also covers many women's health care issues such as mammograms. It is a great start that is designed to help millions in this country who otherwise have been unable to afford health insurance.
Northstar---In the future, when ACA is fully implemented, even Tea Party Republicans will love it, but they probably won't admit it, just like the Social security and Medicare programs implemented by visionary Democrats of the past, they will like it, but they don't realize that their own party isn't the ones who brought to the people.
NorthStarDFL, I agree with the four or five things that you just mentioned in five lines. Why is it that they wrote almost 3,000 thousands to do what you and I agree with? Have you read the entire thing? I don't think anybody has.
I was mainly speaking about the amount of debt that we have now, the economy and how devided he has made the country. What happen to not a red or blue America but just an America?
Northstar---What you wrote above describing the ACA and how it will affect everyone's lives positively was beautifully written.
Tom,
Thank you.
Many of the provision will go into effect on Jan 1, 2013 and other in 2014-20116.
The one thing any person of any political persuasion should not have to worry about is getting the proper medical care that can save your life, or prevent a life threatening disease, or get the ordinary care when you see a doctor on a annual basis.
Concern,
The point about the law being 3,000 pages is beside the point.
Have you read your certificate of coverage from your insurance lately, or your credit card agreement, or your prospectus for your mutual funds that you contribute your hard earned money?
It does not stop one from having heath insurance, credit cards or mutual funds All good reading when you cannot sleep at night.
Northstar,
Insurance policies, credit card agreements and prospectuses are truly excellent sleep aids! I highly recommend a prospectus in every night stand drawer. But none of these are 3000 pages long, and laws have been passed that require the language of those documents to be comprehensible.
I don't know if the TeaParty will learn to love ACA. I'm pretty sure when regular people figure out they have to spend their own money to buy their own insurance they will be surprised and perturbed. The forthcoming insurance isn't going to be free. I don't think a lot of people understand that. Worse, I envision insurance companies and unscrupulous agents taking the less knowledgeable for a ride.
candace,
I understand your concern for the people who can be sweet talked into something by a hard selling sale person.
The insurance exchanges will be set up so people can compare apples to apples in the coverage of each plan. it will be simlar to Medicare gap insurance now. My state Mn has a great publiction thaht show all the different plans every years and their costs. It is a booklet about 90 pages long. There are classes ,not by insurance agents but experts in MN Medicare that helps one work through the various options.
Of course for anyone above 133% of poverty, will have to pay for insurance even beyond any subsidy. Many people are looking forward to being able to purchase heathcare insurance. A family member is a small business owner. She has a pre -existing condition. Currently she pay $10,000. year for her policy. Her insurance has a $10, 000. out of pocket first and then the insurance kick in and she still has co pays. She is lookng forward to lowering her insurance cost under the new law with the exchanges.
“full speed” ahead Rocky! - Captain Wrong Way Peachfuzz -
The Romney campaign is the most dishonest campaign I have ever seen. The fact Romney/Ryan choose to lie about issues is bad enough....its even worse that there are those in the general populus willing to nod their heads in agreement when all they need is a computer and a few minutes to debunk this nonsense. Here are a few examples:
LIE #1)Romney started off lying months ago when he took a snippet of President Obama saying, "if we're talking about the economy, we're going to lose." To find out the President said that in 2008 during the campaign when he quoted John McCain. It got the vaunted "Pants on Fire" rating from Politifact.
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2011/nov/22/mitt-romney/mitt-romney-says-obama-said-if-we-keep-talking-abo/
LIE #2)Then, of course, you has the infamous, "you didn't build that" line of nonsense. When played in context, it was obvious the Romney campaign lied regarding it as well. Don't believe me, here is a fact checker's opinion:
http://factcheck.org/2012/07/you-didnt-build-that-uncut-and-unedited/
LIE #3)Or, how about, the lie that Obama "stole 716 billion from Medicare to pay for Obamacare"? What makes this claim even more egregious is the fact Paul Ryan himself claims those exact same savings in HIS budget. Here is an analogy stating how dubious the Romney claim was:
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-18563_162-57494197/romneys-$716b-medicare-cut-attack-is-dubious/
LIE #4)Which brings us to the most recent lie, the fact that Obama is removing the work requirement from welfare. There really isn't much to say about this other than it is complete and utter bull ****.
http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Latest-News-Wires/2012/0820/Romney-s-attacks-on-Obama-and-welfare-deemed-false-by-fact-checkers
So there you have it....four ads approved by the Romney campaign....four ads that are complete poppycock. If you don't like the President, that's your choice, but don't lie to yourself saying that somehow Romney is taking the upper road in this campaign. Romney's entire campaign is based upon lies, distortions, and contortions.
The GOP has a mountain of money and they are counting on the stupidity of the electorate. If you want to have a genuine debate about issues...great...but don't use as a precursor a bunch of b.s. to make your claims.
The outright lying is in itself disgusting, but what I find completely reprehensible is what the party has done over the last couple of years in regards to suppressing the vote. They know that they can't win on their own merits, so they have made it extremely hard in the democratic voting areas for people to vote. Those who are Republican should be really ashamed to be in that party for that kind of dirty dealing.
Obama's whole political life has been a lie forwarded by corruption.
Romney didn't lie about Obama losing if he talks about the economy as evidenced by the fact that Obama avoids talking about the economy. He knows that is a losing proposition.
Obama ended his political career when he thought he had a nation of malcontents who would buy his class warfare, he uttered those words, "you didn't build that" because he thought his cobbled together base would get him re-elected. That was the moment it became in-the-bag for Romney.
He has stripped 716 billion dollars from Medicare. That's in the law. Because it is law Paul Ryan must include it in his budget, the no-nothing sycophants don't seem to understand that fact.
Removing the work requirement has been addressed above.
So, there you have it. Obama's a baby-killing supporting liar and people such as you buy his bullsh!t. I just wonder why? Is it because you're poor? Or feel guilty? I think it is because you don't understand the principles upon which America was founded. Obama surely does not.
Con....
Blah, blah, blah. I don't know if you noticed....I included sources supporting my viewpoints....you included more dribble that any other right winger could've written. Why should I or any interested party reading our conversation believe you? Evidently because you say so....seems like the typical GOP mantra: "Proof, we don't need no stinking proof!"
You people are an embarrassment to the electorate.
doctor logic,
Your posts are there for all to see in contrast to CR.
there are thousand of people who read these threads that do not post.
They see the glaring difference too.
Have a wonderful evening.
You included talking points from the echo chamber. The stupidity was amazing.
Factcheck, CBS, politifact? Discarded due to their bias.
The CSM article merely repeated what was in the news.
I care little about trying to educate the Obamanoids on FR. I merely chuckle at their willingness to be the doormats of the Gimmiedat Party and the greatest charlatan in the history of our nation.
It ends in November.
And you think the Obama campaign is an honest one you dumb piece of cr@p.
Con...
I always find it funny when you folks make statements that are completely unsubstantiated by the facts or independent sources, you are somehow 'telling the truth'....then when my side counters with an argument with support from independent sources, it is reciting 'talking points'?
Problem is Con you don't seem to be one of these idiots that post on here regularly (see GOP12)....you at least appear to have a brain. But, you take the simple out by simply calling those sources "biased".....frankly, it is pathetic.
Northstar...
Thanks and that's what I am hoping. I know people like Con aren't going to be convinced...their hatred of Obama is not embedded in their DNA. But, if there are a few in the middle out there that can be convinced, then it is best we use logic, reason, backed up by facts. When we do that, it is easy to win the argument.
Northstar....
Sorry, typo in my previous message to you: it should read, 'their hatred of Obama is NOW embedded in their DNA"....is it any surprise when you have all of conservative talk radio and the most popular "news" cable channel consistently distorting and lying about what Obama is all about?
LOL! Riiiiight. The only unbiased news feed is Fox News. You people are clowns.
Disunity
From the article above:
Absolutely WRONG!
It is Governor Romney that MUST BE DEFEATED for the GOOD of this GREAT COUNTRY.
Stop believing the Karl Rove/Rush Limbaugh/Drudge/Fox/Beck/Tea Party propagandists.
THEY are the cancer that is destroying our Democracy.
THEY are the ones destroying the Middle Class.
THEY are the ones taking away your Rights.
THEY are the ones taking away your Freedoms.
THEY are the ones invading your bedrooms, your office place, your CHURCHES!!!
THEY are the ones trying to turn America into a Facist State of Extreme Wealthy and Extreme POOR!
PERIOD!!!
President Obama is perhaps the most intelligent President this nation has ever had. He’s a TRUE AMERICAN, who is a CHRISTIAN, a HUSBAND, and a great FATHER to his two beautiful children, and has done
everything humanly possible to get this country moving FORWARD.
President Obama IS AMERICA, and stands for all that is GOOD in this Great Democracy.
I ask all of my Eisenhower/Reagan Republicans, Independents, and Democrat friends to Re-elect President Obama this November!!!
Let’s also KEEP the Senate, and TAKE BACK THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES so we can end this devastating BUSH CREATED RECESSION and America will lead the world again.
Salud.
WOW! More intelligent than Washington? or Jefferson, most people think he was the most intelligent man to ever hold the office? Or Adams? Lincoln? Or even Bill Clinton the Rhodes Scholar? Woodrow Wilson, pretty smart guy? Richard Nixon?
There's been some really intelligent men as our President.
Why would you think Obama is the most intelligent? He's hasn't accomplished much except a career as a politician. Not even a great politician. I think he's probably not going to make it in the top echelon when it comes to history judging, unless he shows the world something after he leaves.
Hell, he won't even grace us with proof of his vast intellect by showing his college transcripts. It would be great if his GPA was greater than mine.
Apparantly, most of Presidential History you know is a list of names.
Washington was, at best, a good high school mind. Ditto, Lincoln. Nixon, Wilson and Clinton, strong college credentials - but none of them would have come CLOSE to being named editor of the Harvard Law Review (that person is generally assumed to be the best law student in the country). The only real competitor for "smartest" President is Adams, but the America in which they lived was as different as...well, Napoleon Bonapart and Vladimir Putin. Apples and oranges. And none of the others had to work their way up the ladder as a mulatto - which in the present know-nothing redneck-loving society is considered the same thing as black.
Our democracy was founded on the Constitution, Obama has thrown it it over his Plan Excet Orders and bypassing Congress.
Obama is killing middle class jobs, HE as netted a half million lost jobs so far not counting all the new entry people comming in to the job market. He has taken away more of our freedoms, The right to choose our Doctor and the right of law making crimes legal.
You want the taxpayers to pay for the Abortians, and birthcontrol but have no say in it. Liberials want to get rid of Churches.
Obama is the one increasing the poor, by giving Medicare money and tax money to his millionair friends.
This is a Republic, not a Democracy. If you love America and the true meaning of Liberty, Don't vote for Obama.
Obama is nothing more than a Pimp standing in a Chicago Bus Station waiting for his next victim to step off so that he can deluge them with his pimp talking Bullshhitt and claim them for his stable. Victims are??? All the Liberal idiots that buy his useless words and "promises", time and time again. I.E., , the Dumbest a-holes in America.
BK - you are - without a doubt - one of the strongest arguments FOR abortion.
300 Michael -
I encourage you to see which Presidents have issued the most executive orders. Hint: it isn;t President Obama. They can be found at www .archives.gov/federal-register/executive-orders/disposition.html . Based on your logic other Presidents are FAR more guilty of "throwing out" the Constitution.
RE: jobs losses. Please consider checking actual statistics and reject the political pundits that choose not to accept the fact that President Obama has reversed the 750,00 jobs losses/month trend he inherited. Remember that Gov. Romney has publically stated that (sic) no elected official is responsible for economic policies/impacts his first year as they are inherited from the previous administration.
Liberals have no desire to get rid of churches. Liberals advocate for the separation of Church and State as provided for in the Constitution. Liberals also want individuals and their doctors to make personal reproductive health care decisions instead of having those decisions made for them. Liberals also beleive that if healthcare already pays for Viagra for men, why shouldn't it pay for reproductive care for women too?
President Obama is not increasing the poor, nor is he "giving medicare money and tax money to his millionair friends." You clearly have him confused with Gov. Scott from Florida (significant health care fraud) and Gov. Romey (tax breaks for millionaires).
Until Mitt releases several years of taxes like previous Presidential Candidates (including his father who released 12 years), he's not qualified to be President.
Bravo! Tomas!
Full speed ahead with the "WAR ON WOMEN TOUR 2012" !!!! (otherwise known as "RAGE AGAINST THE BABY MACHINE" !!!
Is'nt this what Obama and the Secret Service did to the impoverished women of a 3rd world country?
Sarah Palin. Michele Bachmann, Christine O’Donnell, and Ann Romney , Mary Fallin are very attractive ladies. I think we need to nickname them "Scarf", because every time they go outside without one, their Skull Whistles.
You think the Republican Party is waging a "War on Women"? Don't think so! Ask Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, Christine O'Donnel, Ann Romney, Laura Ingram, etc. etc. etc. which party is waging a "War on Women". No wait just ask jstdafacts. Democrats - the party of women-haters.
You're kidding, right? Your post was supposed to be sarcastic, right? Because you listed five women specifically whom I wouldn't trust with a burnt-out match. Three of them are certifiably insane, the fourth is silver-spoon zero who wouldn't know "work" if it bit her on the touchas. And the fifth... well, lets be kind and only call her a no-conscience opportunist who cares about nothing but herself, wouldn't know truth if it bit her on the touchas, and is so anti-learning that she'd flunk out of first grade if you put her there today as an adult. In other words, the political version of a Kardashian.
The most intelligent woman in the Rethuglican Party is/was Christy Whitman. And she was run out of town on a rail when she fooled President Larry the Cable Guy by actually trying to run the EPA properly, instead of pandering to Dubya's fat cat supporters who wanted to completely rape the entire American environment. THAT is what the Rethuglican Party does to smart, competent women.
Women have absolutely no power in the Rethuglican Party, since the men regard them as nothing but brood mares and housemaids. Male Rethuglican legislators, because of this, are absolutely terrified of women who are smarter than them (not a hard thing to be) and refuse to let 12th Century bigots run their lives as if they were 12th Century wives (i.e. the next thing to slaves). So they surround themselves with women who just nod like a bobblehead and keep repeating, "Yes, Daddy."
All of them are intelligent, bright, and Concertive, that makes them very dangerious to Liberials. I do agree the Liberials do have a war on Women. Liberials talk a good talk, but their actions shout volumns. But they also treat Minorties the same way. Totally discusting.
Hahaha...You list Palin and Bachman as examples? hahaha What an idiot!
So the party that wants to support womans rights and what they do to their own body is the party of woman haters? ROFL!
