These votes are ripe for the picking!

After 3 1/2 years of how wonderful Obama is ... after 3 1/2 years of repubs will push you guys off the cliff ..... and Obama still hasn't won them over?

Yea they are ripe for the picking ... for Romney and Ryan.

Ryan is offering vouchers for bus passes ... they'll catch on.

Pretty insipid .... but regardless, don't the politicians and federal employees get choices with their health care?

Not good enough for everyone else?

Or are you a typical lib like Feisty and Bev that can't decide what is best for them and need the "smarter people" to make the decisions for them?

Popular former Governor Charlie Crist has a message for these seniors:

As America prepares to pick our president for the next four years — and as Florida prepares once again to play a decisive role — I'm confident that President Barack Obama is the right leader for our state and the nation. I applaud and share his vision of a future built by a strong and confident middle class in an economy that gives us the opportunity to reap prosperity through hard work and personal responsibility. It is a vision of the future proven right by our history.

What the seniors should be asked is – If you were 50 today, in 15+ years could you afford an additional $500 a month to be able to afford what Medicare provides now or would you prefer another solution?

In a recent survey 53% say they would pay more taxes into SS and Medicare while only 36% say cut benefits.

From the Boston Herald:

RyanCare keeps Congress healthy

By Deroy Murdock | Friday, August 24, 2012 | | Op-Ed

“Gov. Romney now owns the Republican, Ryan budget that puts millionaires ahead of Medicare and the middle class,” House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi recently snapped.

“By picking Rep. Paul Ryan, Gov. Romney has doubled down on his commitment to gut Social Security and end Medicare as we know it,” Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid snarled.

Pelosi and Reid know better. Presumptive GOP running mate Paul Ryan’s Medicare reform proposal is as extreme as the health plan available to every member of Congress. Ryan envisions average seniors enjoying Capitol Hill-style medical options. This, itself, would be a choice. Seniors who oppose choice in health coverage will be 100 percent welcome to remain within traditional Medicare.

Ryan’s “far-right” Medicare reform is co-sponsored by Sen. Ron Wyden, a liberal Oregon Democrat.

Should any American who has paid for Medicare all his or her life deserve be forced to deal with insurance companies when they have Alzheimer's?

That is the Romney/Ryan plan, make Americans with Alzheimer's fight with insurance company CEOs regarding every single health care treatment we receive.

Personally, I believe in the Obama plan of gradually increasing the eligibility age to keep Medicare and Social Security around for all Americans. As Reagan once said of Obama's plan..."it's common sense".

How about if team Obama were to lay out exactly what it has done to help the economy in the past 4 years. How about if they were to tell us what we were supposed to hope and change for. Wouldn't it be nice if Team Obama were to at least spell out in concise simple form... what they are going to do to reduce unemployment, the national debt and deficit reduction.

Wouldn't it be nice for team Obama to stand in front of these seniors and explain why they confiscated $741 Billion from medicare. I think seniors would be really interested in hearing those excuses.

Sneak in the Fed and devalue the dollar to make our exports affordable?

        Caesar -

Can you guess which presidential candidate made these remarks?

"You Olympians, however, know you didn't get here solely on your own power. For most of you, loving parents, sisters or brothers, encouraged your hopes, coaches guided, communities built venues in order to organize competitions. All Olympians stand on the shoulders of those who lifted them. We've already cheered the Olympians, let's also cheer the parents, coaches, and communities." - Mitt ROmney, 2002 Winter Olympics

Eerily similar to President Obama's remarks, don't you think? How dare Romney say that those hard-working Olympians deserved no credit for their success, it was "on the shoulders of those who lifted them"!

If Obama has been such a failure and Willard has such a compelling vision to move the country forward, then why is it that all you can come up with is cracking birther jokes and peddling the "gutting welfare" lie? When it comes to personal integrity, Willard makes both Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton look like saints.

I wonder if Florida seniors would trust the judgement of former Republican Governor Charlie Crist? He seems reasonable, moderate, fair minded and when compared to the current Governor Red Skull, a genious. nHe just endorsed Obama. That has to impress FL independents.

Frankie, US corporate taxes are the highest in the world. The extra costs and uncertainty imposed on businesses due to Obamacare and Obama's war on corporations (i.e. regulations) and they are reluctant to invest in the future.

You see Frankie, the corporations are there to make money for their shareholders, and they are more than willing to expand (create jobs) if they are able to reasonably predict the expenses of doing so.

Perhaps you should spend a little more time trying to understand how business operates, rather than just collecting your unemployment check and living of of my tax dollars.

As for the economy, while it is not where I would like to see it, it is a far cry from the monthly 750K job losses and the GDP in freefall that was the case in January 2009. Funny thing, Willard still can't offer a compelling case of how he will improve things other than to repeat what got us in the mess in the first place. I mean i can tell you what Romney plans

But then Romney would lose the election.

He was going to focus on the economy like a laser

Is that the same laser that Boehner and the House Republicans promised us they would use if they got the majority in 2010?

shovel ready that isnt shovel ready

I'm sure there will be plenty of "shovel ready" jobs in Tampa when the Republicans are through spreading what they are spreading.

RSR, seems AL and Frankie go to the same tramp stamp shop. Boehner never said he'd use fricken laser beams. and stopping Obama's drunken binge spending like Nero is/was a start.

Hey Al, shovel ready. 800b pissed away and you cant even defend it. FAIL

Going from 750K job losses to 28 consecutive month of private sector job growth and unemployment in a steady downtrend over that time.

Boehner never said he'd use fricken laser beams

So where are the jobs Boehner promised to focus on? In your own words, FAIL!

Even the left agrees Obama is gutting the law. Albeit they attempt to use convoluted and distorted explanations and attempt to explain in terms of, "well, yeah, but only if...."

Go to heritage.org, they explain so even the brain dead can understand. (Looking at you FR)

This is Obama's problem with the seniors. They understand that he is taking 716 billion dollars out of Medicare and that Obamacare throws them to the wolves. The seniors love Romney. He'll easily win Florida.

Statistically speaking, these small groups of voters who state their opinions (seniors, undecideds, independents etc.) mean little. Florida senior citizens are already on full alert...they know what Romney intends to do to Medicare and Social Security. They favor the President by between 10-12 points. But will that be enough for Obama to win Florida after purged voter rolls again undermine a free and fair election?

We don't have a democracy anymore when eligible voters are denied their right to vote. I fear violence may result from another stolen presidential election.

The Seniors of America had better wake up quick! The GOP/RNC are NOT their friends, and the GOP/RNC have a "Vulture Plan" for you. The Seniors of this nation had better understand that what the GOP is doing is "Gross" and their "Social Attitudes" are "Odd." "Romulian Romney" has made it clear that he has the "Mental Mentality" of Popeye! The Seniors of America had better read, research, and understand the Medicare vote taken by the GOP/RNC House in 2010. That is fact!

Maybe Florida seniors aren't sold on either candidate but this California senior sure is and it is Obama.

Adler - And I am willing to bet you voted for Jerry Brown and the democrats that run the State of California government. Bet you even agree that the Public Sector Unions are deserving of everything they want. Oh, BTW, bet you even support the Democrats approval of the so called "High speed rail to nowhere" paid for by billions in bonds. How many cities in CA have now filed for "Bankruptcy"? Five I believe with more coming. I even bet you will vote for Brown's tax increase in November.

Ron Paul is the only one to think of seniors and will bring back the cost of living cuts they have not been getting from Social Security. Not only is the man electable but is a far more honest, moral and uncorruptable choice than either Obama or Romney.

He has gotten no media coverage even though he has done quite well because TV and newspapers are owned by 'Big Business' and they know that he will no longer offer the perks that they have been getting for years.
