Subscribe to RSSThe Obama campaign is out with another Medicare ad, hitting Romney for wanting to change the entitlement to a voucher program. One problem with the ad is that it implies that the changes will take place for current seniors, when it does not.
The Obama team is out with a snarky web video previewing the Republican convention, calling it a “convention reinvention” and “the do-over.”
The Obama campaign on Romney’s birth certificate joke: “Throughout this campaign, Governor Romney has embraced the most strident voices in his party instead of standing up to them,” Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt said in a statement. “Governor Romney’s decision to directly enlist himself in the birther movement should give pause to any rational voter across America.”
Former Republican Florida Gov. Charlie Crist endorsed Obama. The political world shrugged with this announcement over the weekend. It’s really striking how quickly things can change. It was just four years ago when Crist’s endorsement was credited with John McCain’s win in the Florida GOP primary.

Romney has promised to end ObamaCare.
That means current seniors will have to pay for the donut hole again and Medicare loses 8 years of solvency.
Romney's own math doesn't add up. That's why Ryan repeatedly goes around saying their running on Romney's plan, not the Ryan plan. Romney's promising sunshine from his behind and Ryan is doing everything to avoid having to talk about Romney's bad math.
If he gets that accomplished it will be a big win for America and make him ten times better than the current misguided one in the white house.

It is important to remember that President Obama's healthcare plan puts the burden of cost upon the insurance companies to provide preventative services and restrict the options of excluding so-called high risk and high cost seniors and subscribers. The GOP plan will return the burden to subscribers and seniors and insurance companies will again be allowed to denie insurance ot high risk, high cost subscribers and seniors. Moneys taked from Medicare for the President Obama's healthcare plan levels the playing field for seniors and nonseniors. I personnally don't care where the money goes, but the problem I have is that the GOP will again create a system where business again will engage in corporate greed. Deregulation will NOT guarantee that business will use the financial advantages given by the GOP to creat jobs, provide healthcare that is fair or high quality. Obama is no saint and I don't agree with everything he does. However the GOP's platform will mean seniors will pay more out of pocket, more seniors will recieve inferior healthcare, preventative care will cost seniors much much more and a greater amount of money will go for administrative cost rather than service delivery.
Q: Why doesn't Romney release his tax records? A: Because he made lots of money and paid little taxes.
Q: Why doesn't Obama release his college records? A: Because he applied for tuition aid as a foreign student.
I say a pox on both their houses.

The endorsement will influence Florida seniors who supported Charlie Crist. That's the point. I swear, the "political world" has forgotten they are not the story.
