2012: The other new national poll

Obama and Romney are tied in the latest AP-GFK poll, with Obama slightly ahead at 47-46%. The AP’s take: “For all the attention it got, Republican Mitt Romney's selection of Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin as his running mate has not altered the race against President Barack Obama. The campaign remains neck and neck with less than three months to go, a new AP-GfK poll shows.” And: “At the same time, there's a far wider gap when people were asked who they thought would win. Some 58 percent of adults said they expected Obama to be re-elected, while just 32 percent said they thought he'd be voted out of office.”

“Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who is out-fundraising President Barack Obama by impressive margins, is attracting thousands of donors this summer from traditionally Democratic areas of the United States, collecting millions of dollars in even progressive communities from New York to Los Angeles, according to an analysis by The Associated Press of new campaign data. Donors from tony neighborhoods of Manhattan to even the famously liberal Castro neighborhood in San Francisco helped Romney and the GOP outraise Obama by more than $25 million in July, beating him and the Democratic Party in contributions for a third consecutive month, the AP analysis showed.”

Obama may get NBA players, but Romney’s got the owners.

Wouldn't it be great if this were the election where voters proved the wealthiest 1% don't own the heart and soul of this country?

lets face it: Mitt looks like the villian in all those 80's movie named Chad, Chaz, or whatever. The blonde rich kid that everyone hated, usually played by William Zabka, but James Spader did a good job. The fake laugh, the faux indignation, and the disdain for "common" people are obvious.

Here's a tip, Mitt: Either start acting like the good guy or we all know how this movie is going to end.

Amy the owners already got this rigged. Obama Romney it doesnt matter. We are in the final stages. How much more proof do you need. One party under NWO. Obama was groomed by Kissinger one of the leading advocates openly speaking about the NWO since his days with Nixon. The owners have both parties & other parties do not stand a chance. Maybe that was until now. The total brash disregard of the people at the RNC as they read the results of the delegate vote off the teleprompter mightve raised more then a few eyebrows in both parties. Many staunch wingers now have even switched to believe in our message. Its for the people by the people. Really quite simple. Reclaim our country as well as our constitution.Libertarians have never had as much passion power in where it belongs We the people shall not fail. Romney Obama & the like will be vanquished possibly even tried for their complicity selling us out! RNC made the biggest mistake ever by their last blunder adding injury to insult they definetly can not win. Ron Paul or Gary Johnson will easily beat Obama we are ready for whoever the owners put out on as the new puppet!

How much more money did Obama spend in 2008 than John McCain? So I guess we can truthfully say that Obama bought the 2008 election.

Obama won't be able to buy this election, the people have seen what he has accomplished so far, and will vote for a change. It is really a shame that an incumbent President can't even get above 50% in job performance or in voter preference. Obama's campaign spent around 59 million in August and never even got a bump in the polls. BTW, he only took in 49.2 million in August, far below what he spent.

            The
            Sociopath in Chief

            By Michael Chester

Webster’s Dictionary defines a sociopath as: “someone who behaves in
a dangerous or violent way towards other people and does not feel guilty about
such behavior.” In everyday usage it can be used to mean someone who has no
conscience; someone who only cares about what benefits himself or herself with
no regard for the suffering or loss of others
            .

When most people tell a lie, they have “tells.” They may look away, give too
much or too little detail, have increased heart rate and many other indicators.
They feel a sense of guilt for lying and it shows. For a sociopath, lying comes
naturally and without that pesky conscience, they can be very convincing. Their
only concern is getting what they want.

The most famous sociopath from recent history is probably, serial killer,
Ted Bundy. He was intelligent, charming and handsome: a deadly combination for
a sociopath. He was able to charm young women into trusting him even during a
time when women should have been even more aware of ‘stranger danger” than they
normally are. His sociopathy served him well. He could lie convincingly and his
charm and handsomeness only made him more attractive.

There are several jobs that are perfect for the sociopath, such as being a
hit man. Feeling no guilt, he is able to carry out the murder simply to make
money. A normal person would suffer tremendous feelings of guilt for that type
of behavior. A military sniper can justify his job believing that what he does
is for the greater good and may save the lives of people on his side, but in
talking to former soldiers who were snipers, they said that they still have
some conflicted feelings about what they had to do. A sociopath would feel no
            conflict.

Another good job for a sociopath is as a vulture capitalist. This is a
person who takes control of a valuable company, sucks out all of the money and
discards what is left. He has no regard for those individuals who have spent
their lives building a company they can be proud of or the employees that lose
their jobs as a result. His only concern is how much money can be made. By now,
most of you have heard of the trail of destruction left by Mitt Romney and Bain
Capital. For those not familiar with their behavior I will give a brief
analogy. Suppose you borrowed money and bought a new car. Upon its delivery,
you took it to a chop shop and had all of the valuable parts removed and sold.
You then took what was left to a scrapyard and sold it as scrap. You then filed
for bankruptcy and got out of paying back the car loan, but keeping all of the
money you got along the way. If you had a lot of chutzpah you might even file
an insurance claim to get paid for the loss of the car. Of course, in the real
world, you would be arrested and charged with multiple counts of fraud, but in Mitt
            Land this is all legal.

A lot of jokes have been made about strapping his dog to the roof of the car
for a road trip, but how could anyone with an ounce of human compassion for his
family’s pet treat him so cruelly? Only a sociopath would put his convenience
ahead of the health and safety of his children’s pet. Why? To have more room
for his valuables or maybe so he didn’t have to listen to the dog’s barking.
Animal cruelty is one of earliest indicators of a sociopathic personality and
            often precedes human cruelty.

As a candidate, Mitt Romney has changed his position on so many things so
many times, that the running joke is: “If you don’t like Mitt’s position on
something, wait five minutes and he will change it.” As a sociopath, he has no
problem saying whatever he feels his audience wants to hear. All politicians do
this to a point, but most have a line that they won’t cross. If such a line
exists for Mitt Romney, no one has yet to see it.

He has that same deadly combination of traits that Ted Bundy had; he is
charming, handsome, educated, and intelligent. Unlike Bundy, his goals are
money, power and prestige, not literal rape and murder. These are more socially
acceptable goals and I guess we can be grateful for that. Many “normal” people
share these goals and attributes and there is nothing wrong with them, it is
how you go about achieving them. The sociopath will do whatever it takes with
the only limits being what he can get away with.

Along the way he has picked up some endorsements that one could reasonably
question. He has been endorsed by the National Rifle Association as a pro gun
candidate even though his history is far from a pro gun position. Here is a
brief history of how his position has “evolved.”

From the 2008 Opposition Research report prepared by the McCain Campaign.

            • In
1994 Senate race, Romney backed Brady bill and assault weapons ban, saying “I
don’t line up with the NRA” and “that’s not going to make me the hero of the
              NRA.”
            • Romney
called Clinton crime bill “a big step forward.”
            • As
governor, Romney quadrupled gun licensing fees and vowed not to “chip away” at
              tough gun laws
            • In
2004, Romney signed permanent state-level ban on assault weapons that was
mirrored after federal assault weapons ban.
            • In
January 2006, Romney said he owned a gun – then two days later admitted he did
not and the gun belonged to his son.
            • Romney
bragged about being member of the NRA but later revealed he didn’t join until
August 2006, just before launching his presidential campaign.
            • Romney
recently said he’s “been a hunter pretty much all my life” but later admitted
he hunted only twice in his life, later clarifying remarks by claiming he has
hunted “small varmints … more than two times.”
            • In
2006 press conference, Romney claimed he had been hunting “many times” after
returning from quail hunt in Georgia.

In an editorial endorsing Mitt Romney, Guns and Ammo Magazine writer Doug
            Howlett stated:

            Life Under Romney

Whether you believe Romney is a true champion of the Second Amendment or
feel he’s saying what he must to get elected, odds are if the NRA helps him
win, his gratitude will be such that he won’t do anything to upset that support
throughout his term. That means it is doubtful we will see a return to any
“assault weapons” bans or other federal legislation that will infringe upon gun
rights. Without question, where gun rights are concerned, Romney is the hands
            down choice.

Now there is a ringing endorsement. What he is actually saying is that no
matter what Mitt Romney actually believes, he has received his thirty pieces of
silver (actually with inflation it is several million pieces of silver) and is
now bought and paid for. He will do whatever we tell him to do.

To be fair, President Obama has also shifted his position on gun control
over the years. As president, he has signed legislation that permits Amtrak
passengers to carry guns in their checked baggage and another that allows
visitors to national parks and wildlife refuges to possess concealed guns. He
has not pushed for actions he supported in his 2008 campaign, including closing
the so-called “gun show loophole” that allows unlicensed private firearm
sellers to sell weapons at gun shows without conducting the background checks
and reporting requirements that registered gun dealers must conduct.

The bottom line on the gun issue is that regardless of the outcome of the
election, not much will change. The president does not have the authority to
usurp the second amendment and Congress does not have the will to substantially
            change the laws.

Romney has promised that if elected, on day one he will repeal “Obamacare.”
He has also promised to do about 20 other things on day one so it should be a
busy day. Of course, the health care legislation was passed by congress
and signed into law and it would take an act of congress to repeal it so he
lying again. The Supremes have upheld the penalty on those who can afford to
purchase health care insurance but choose not to, calling it a tax. Of course,
Mitt has jumped on the word “tax” and is now claiming that Obama is imposing a
new high tax on everyone. The tax only applies to those who are able to afford
insurance and choose to not buy it. Here, let me have an expert explain it in
detail, as reported on Fox News. (not exactly a bastion of liberal views)

Mitt Romney has finally chosen a clone er… running mate and I find the
choice of Paul Ryan to be a curious one. I don’t see an advantage in this
choice as supporters of Ryan were already firmly in Romney’s camp. It also
focuses scrutiny on the Ryan budget plan, a plan so extreme that even some
conservatives find it onerous. Romney has his own plan to benefit the one
percent, but it is slightly different. Basically it treats the middle class
like a target company from his Bain days. Squeeze all of the money out that you
can and discard what is left.

I can understand the disappointment people feel towards Barack Obama: I feel
much of it myself. The economy has only made modest gains and we are still in
Afghanistan. At least he has resisted attacking Iran, which I believe is in
Romney’s plans. If there were a “none of the above” option on the ballot, I
believe that none would win in a landslide, but given the reality that the real
choice boils down to Obama and Romney, the choice should be obvious. Hold your
nose and do what you have to do.

            This sums it all up.

This is the bad news people, or the funny news if you see it as such. For the past 4 years the mainstream media (NBC, CBC, ABC, and yes, even FOX) at times have knelt down and felated the "commander in chief" they've ignored all the scandals (fast and furious, Valerie Jarret, and now Iran cash) and led us, the American public to believe that Obama is our savior and he will lead us to where the US needs to be. Now comes the funny or sad part.....On November 7th, I believe with all my heart, that we will wake up with a new President. And all the MSMs hard work will fall to the ground. The public will be left wondering how we could have been duped. Believe what you want to believe about what they tell you to believe or you can go researching yourself, but you'll be sorely disappointed otherwise. And I want to see the look on Maddow and Matthew's faces when they have to announce President Romney. I also want to see the seething in Our P(os)tus' face when he has to concede the election.

How about instead - Hilary Clinton as President, Michele Obama as VP and Ann Romney as Secretary of State. I know that will never happen in the history of the US. Why? Becaise the US is one of the most sexist, racist people in the world. The Women's movement made strides, but we are back in the 50's again. And, quite frankly, we are feminists are worn out with the way things went in the good old USA.

Mr. Obama, you could not fix our country, so now it is time for you to go back home and fix IL - after all, your friend needs help because apparentely he can't fix it either after he failed under you as well. Although I guess he was smart, he left you before you will leave later this year. Good bye you failure. Thanks for nothing.

Good bye to all those lying, theiving, socialists that are part of the obama entourage. Corzine, holder, michelle, pelosi, franks, reid and all the rest of them. (Of course corzine is already gone but not forgotten. I hope when Romney gets in he goes after him for the billions of dollars that disappeared from investors) Why is he not in jail?

This is very good news for Romney. Usually the incumbent enjoys a pretty strong margin. Obama's failure to bring real solutions in the past 4 years will be his undoing.

I believe Obama will win handily not because he's been a great president but because he's the lesser of two evils. How anyone can look at Romneys proposals and vote for him is beyond me. A 5 trillion dollar tax cut when we have a 15 trillion dollar deficit??? Though republicans refuse to name the "loopholes" they'll eliminate to make up this difference.

I read a Ryan article where he suggested eliminating the home mortgage interest deduction and taxing employer health plans might be the way to go. Both of these mostly benefit the middle class. Why would you vote for someone with a tax plan that would give almost all of the breaks to the wealthiest and substantially raise them on you? Romney claims he'll cut social program spending 120 billion a year but raise military funding 260 billion a year, hardly a plan to lower our deficit. I hear republicans bash Obama on here but never see any say why they support Romney other than he's not Obama. True, but did you ever consider he might be worse?

The take away form this article can be summed up by saying that Romney has the money and President Obama has the majority vote of the American people and the majority votes in the electoral college. In other words Romney and Republicans will outraise him when it comes to the money game yet President Obama wins the election. Why is that you ask? Because poll after poll over the last 4 years have shown that the majority of Americans do not blame the President for near depression. In fact the MAJORITY blame Bush and the republicans. Yet Romney and republicans are pushing the tired argument that the economy is bad and it s the President's fault. The republican premise about the economy is not resonating because the American voter is way more educated than the republicans give them credit for. And to top it off the republicans ARE NOT offering and or proposing any common sense solutions for working together to solve the problems americans are facing in this the 21st century of our country. As the just about everything that are coming from repubicans mouthes are proving to be untruths on most every level. How can a campaign's centerpiece of whatever it is be built on falsehoods. Americans are not going to elect a candidate based on that candidate not leveling with them. On the other hand President Obama are traveling the countryside touted there achievements because they are proud of them. No one can take away the Democrats accomplishments of the last 4 years.

As long as the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, we will go further and further to the left. If it goes on too long do not be surprised if we do go socialist. If the wealthy like this system it's is in their own best interest to raise wages and or lower the price of their product, if they don't the poor will be a larger and larger portion of our population and their votes will be too many for the rich to buy.

And how is Obama creating a socialist country? Obama care was modeled on Romney care and I never heard the socialist label put to it. 40% of Americans health care is already funded by the government through medicare, medicaid and veterans. 40% already have insurance through their employer or purchased already for themselves. That leaves maybe 20% who'll be required to get insurance with many low income being subsidized. Requiring people to buy insurance who can afford to but don't is no more socialistic than being forced to buy auto insurance. Bill Clinton attempted to get a national health program initiated his first term even appointing Hillary to chair it. It failed yet no one was talking about socialism. I guess it's only socialistic if a black man proposes it.

Romney is no businessman just a leverage buyout snake, How hard is it to buy a company with borrowed money saddle it with debt it cannot pay and they them file BK. Bain gets all the money and the employees and creditors get screwed. That is not rocket science. The GOP took 8 years to get us in this mess and the Congress said from day one we will not support anything Obama and the Dems put forward. Why can't we look at the facts and not the spin?

Obama is good at selling menu. But when it comes to putting on the table he can put only soul food.

The French food that Miichell likes, I bet Romney can put on table better. Mitchell will like it.

The choice for American people is Menu peddler or Food peddler.

I don't care who President , as long as Republicans had Congress they voted no to make everything bad. Even though citizens voted them into office, they did what they wanted to do. By saying what they wanted to do I'm saying not caring for their own voters, but working against the President(just because he's black) trying to make him look bad but also sacrificing those citizens that voted them(Republicans) into office by not helping the Country. How dare you(Republican officials) point fingers when everytime it was time to help the people, YOU REPUBLICANS SAID NO,NO,NO,NO,NO. nOW YOU WANT MORE VOTES. fOR WHAT? WAKE UP PEOPLE. WAKE UP.
