Speaker John Boehner told his Republican House members Tuesday night that "Paul Ryan gives us the ability to go on offense" in the battle over Medicare following Ryan's selection as Mitt Romney's running mate.
That message, described by senior aides, came during a regular recess conference call while members are home in their districts and campaigning for re-election.

J. Scott Applewhite / AP
House Speaker John Boehner talks about a lunch meeting with President Obama to deal with rising gasoline prices, at the Capitol in Washington, Feb. 29, 2012.
Boehner appeared to offer reassurance saying, "The pundits are buzzing that with Paul on the ticket, the Democrats are going to attack us on Medicare. Well, here's a news flash -- they were gonna do that anyway."
GOP leadership wants voters to hear their argument that Republicans are "the only ones" who have taken action to preserve Medicare in the budget they passed while the president's health care law they claim, "raided Medicare by $700 billion."
The speaker stressed that jobs and the economy must remain their top issues, but he also gave guidance on how House Republicans should frame other key arguments. On Romney's tax returns, Boehner pointed to Ryan's "60 Minutes" response: "The American people aren't asking where are the tax returns; they're asking, 'Where are the jobs?'" On stalled drought relief, Boehner pointed out that the president, in Iowa, criticized Ryan for congressional inaction. Boehner countered that the House did pass its version of help for farmers while the Senate did not tackle drought relief.
Boehner accused President Obama of being "desperate to shift the conversation away from his record on jobs and the economy." The speaker encouraged an aggressive stay on offense strategy saying, "If we keep that kind of focus and discipline, the American people will be with us."
Yet on the issue of Medicare, Democrats today fired back, with Sen. Chuck Schumer issuing this memo:
The case for Paul Ryan goes something like this: even if you disagree with his policy ideas, his proposals at least represent a good-faith appeal for deficit reduction that is both serious and statesmanlike.
This appears to be the message Mitt Romney hopes to sell with his risky selection of Ryan as his running mate. But it is an utter myth. In Ryan's budget, the savings achieved by his plan to privatize Medicare and gut investments in the middle class do not go towards reducing the deficit, but rather to pay for further tax cuts for the wealthy.

Don't worry...be happy!
Seniors are one of the largest Republican-voting groups and all this talk about Medicare is very unsettling. Those who are up for reelection this November know that and a little pat on the head isn't going to cut it. Romney needs to offer his party (as well as the rest of us) specifics on his vision for America.
John Boehner is already offensive. Don't mess with my Medicare!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Paul Ryan has offered the specifics, in his "marvelous" budget - the one that is "almost identical" to Romney's plan except where it isn't, but Romney can't think of anything that is different.....
Ryan's budget: Change Medicare to a voucher program and gut almost every other social program in order to spend more on the military and give the wealthy more tax breaks. Oh, and it balances the budget in 20 years or so....
Paul Ryan: The Deficit? I Built That!!
Some of the funniest people in this country post comments over @ The HuffingtonPost. These people are Obama supporters and they are hilarious.
Well, this morning I saw a comment that literally made me laugh out loud over @ DKos. They were having a discussion about Boehner and Ryan and someone said something to the effect that after the election, Boehner and Ryan were planning on becoming a lounge act.
OMG did I laugh.
Tinfoil, tell us how great Obama's budget is. How about gutting medicare to pay for Obamacare? That's a plan. LMAO
Oh, I know, let's pile on more debt.
Obama, big government, tax and spend libby. Same as always. But what could you expect from someone who has never had to create a budget for anything in his life.
Now that is scary. Having an amateur that has never created or managed a budget running the budget of the USA!! Wow, talk about stupid. How could anyone vote for that, unless they are brain dead. LOL
Seniors
arewere one of the largest Republican-voting groupsmittens doesn't think he has to explain himself to the lowly middle class. We should just take his word for it.
Amy, seniors are smart. They will vote Romney. Obama only panders to the less educated to buy votes.
Remember, if you are under 30 and a republican you have no heart. If you are over 30 and a democrat you have no brain. Still true.
Red, do a little research instead of just spewing misinformation:
http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/08/fact-check-obama-ryan-romney-backed-medicare-cuts/
This a very good sign brought to you by the party of NO during their August recess
" The speaker encouraged an aggressive stay on offense strategy saying, "If we keep that kind of focus and discipline, the American people will be with us."
Less that a week since Romney picked Rayn for his VP, every GNOP congressperson running for relection needed to reaasured by the Speaker of the House that plan is coming together!!! LOL
They can run but they cannot hide from Ryan?Romney who wants to destroy Medicare as we know it and turn it into a monthy coupon for those 54 years old and younger.
RedSox - George W. Bush - that pretty much sums up the intellect of the Republican party and it doesn't get any lower. However, people like you who actually think Romney/Ryan are good for the country may actually be dumber than anyone I have ever encountered.
Thankfully the intelligent and well educated Democrats as well as Independents and moderate Republicans who haven't gone to the dark side - will protect you guys from yourselves and re-elect President Obama in November. Get used to it!
I believe the accurate comment would be if you vote Republican - no matter what your age - you should be committed - just to make sure you don't hurt yourself!
Obama/Biden 2012
In 1954 a very wise man said;
RedSoxRule (the cellar) -
Wrong on two counts:
1) Obama's plan reduces Medicare EXPENSES by slowing the rate of payments and eliminating overpayments - the same savings reflected in the Ryan plan! NO BENEFITS ARE CUT!
2) Facts show that the more education you have, the more likely you are to vote Democrat-
VOTE BY EDUCATION
TOTAL / Democrat / Republican
Some College (31%) / 51% / 47%
College Graduate (27%)/ 49% / 49%
Postgraduate (18%) / 58% / 41%

Paul Ryan: The Deficit? I Built That!!
Insane, I still see you haven't found your sanity. Keep looking, and I will keep praying for you.
By the way, Bush got decent grades in college. How were Obama's grades? LMAO
Too bad they don't require an IQ test to vote. If they did then Obama would only get about 2% of the vote. LOL
Tinfoil, you may want to look at the most resent election: www .nytimes.com/interactive/2010/11/07/weekinreview/07marsh.html?ref=weekinreview
Smart people saved us from the libbys! LMAO
Keep proving the point:
If you are under 30 and a republican you have no heart. If you are over 30 and a democrat you have no brain.
LOL
Fisty here's one you'll love too
RedSox - and Romney/Ryan would have to give votes back! Clearly you've been drinking today. Let's see - President Obama Headed Harvard Law Review. If you had 2 brain cells to rub together you'd know you have to be VERY smart to have that honor.
Bush got C's - very average - but that's how Republicans like their politicians - very average or a little below average.
Democrats like ours smart - like President Obama or President Clinton - remember, he was a Rhodes Scholar!
Don't worry - I never expected you to know that.
Poor little RedSox - doesn't know anything but still tries!
Obama/Biden 2012
Redsox, Seeking was a rhodes scholar too LOL, except she went to Rhodes (island)
Poor little insane one. Keep searching for you sanity and I will keep praying for you.
How about you compare Obama's grades to Bush?
LMAO
You libbys are sooooo fun to watch! Keep spinning!
RedSux/Rob-
You are correct in that Mitt Romney has experience as governor of MA - he even balanced the budget.
How did he do that? Higher Taxes and Fees.
The MA Capital Gains Tax increased by $1.3 Billion under Romney, and he implemented fees totaling over $501 million in a single year. Romney also cut state aid to cities and towns by $700 million, resulting in local property taxes being increased by over by five percent to their highest level in 25 years. Romney also approved a local commercial property taxes increase of $100 million.
Romney also capped emissions on coal plants, stating “I will not create jobs or hold jobs that kill people, and that (coal) plant, that (coal) plant kills people”.
Paul Ryan: The Deficit? I Built That!!
Redsox and Caeser,
Changing the subject will not provide any cover to all the GOP running for reelection in their districts tied to romney/ryan at the top of the ticket. They voted for the Ryan budget in the house. It does away with Medicare program for those under 55 and replaces it with a monthy coupon.
Did he cry? That works.
Northstar thats funny what subject was that again? how bout you ask Feisty Castro. Is it dogs or horses?
Northstar - I just put those two on ignore. All they spout is nonsense and nothing more!
RedSoxRule
IMO, if her
bodysanity (and by all appearances she seems to be so) matches her mind, she is a total babe.Too late Boehner, we know what you are trying to do! We know Romney is trying to muddy the waters about the savings from Medicare -- We know it is Paul Ryan who wants to steal from seniors. And GOP/TP congressional candidates who are running ads with their mothers on Medicare saying their son would never attack the elderly -- TOO LATE, your lies will be exposed. No one believes Republicans are the champions of Social Security and Medicare -- NO ONE! You never have been, and you will pay the price. Buwahahahaha!
SeekingSanity
yes, seeking is a real intellectual giant.
The problem is very few on the left in here discuss anything. Take seeking for example, the extent of its genius is to call people who don't agree ignoramuses yet can't discuss, lets say current events (aside from dogs and tax returns).
BCWC,
Nothing like a hormonally imbalanced drunk to reassure the troops! lol
Now you're learning GF!
The dynamic duo sure know how to elevate the discussion around here! *snark off*
If people quit FEEDING them, they will shrivel up & starve!
Oh "for Pete's sake," 98% of Teapublicans voted for Ryan's plan to end Medicare as we know it. It is on record, and it WILL be used in races all the way down the ticket. States with a large senior population just tilted to Team Obama. That's what you arrogant conservatives get when you live in your Echo Chamber of FAUX Noise/Hate Radio.
blackcatwhitecat - Thank you - and I have to say you definitely must be a standout yourself!
Feisty - nope - Boehner is saving the tears for November - then he'll "cry us a river"!
WTF Feisty, you are the biggest dolt this board has. You're a real allstar when it comes to 'elevated discussions'.
You never did answer me, do you get hourly pay or is it a salaried position as and NBC blogger?
Boehner who? Where has he been hiding?
SeekingSanity
works great, especially when it comes to little ceasar who calls you a liar but never proves anything. It's quite comical actually...
bayllie - yep! He seems to just spout 3rd grade taunts over and over. Eventually you tire of the stupidity!
Boner the entertainer, this is what Ohio brings to the table. Thanks

yes, you can "hear" 'you lie' so many times before it gets old...I think our little dictator has beat all records when it comes to being unable to prove ANYTHING.
bayllie
SeekingSanity
A spade is a spade Bayllie but what havent i proved? i had a link to voter fraud if that is what you are talking about, refusal to look doesnt make me unable to prove. as for childish, look at the retards talking about someone on 'ignore'. Now that is just retarded. As for seeking, that thing is a moron and im glad im on ignore, perhaps it will stop saying "i know you are but what am i". Poor honors grad seeking didnt seem to get it. C'est la vie.
besides flaming you behind your back is more fun
yosolo, too bad that a reasonable person can see that the same figure Ryan is discussing in that video is the same figure he used in his budget. Not only did he use the same figure, from the same savings, he used it to cut taxes on interest, dividends ect. on the wealthy. Effectively reducing taxes on someone like Mitt to 0.83 percent.
A reasonable person can understand that medical care cost will rise faster than the value of the coupon Ryan's plan offers. This will effectively make this program obsolete as seniors pay out more for insurance than they can afford. Eventually they will no longer purchase that insurance. Seniors cannot afford 6k nor can they afford medications now. Many who faced the doughnut hole were not taking perscribed meds as they should.
A resonable person also understands that when a program such as the one Ryan introduces has a cost to enact. The Ryan plan does not account for the 2 trillion it will use to enact this plan.
Lastly, I would think that someone taking the time to post a video and watch those meetings would be asking questions. If you have, surely you have not been satisfied with the lack of answers coming from Romney/Ryan. Their plans cannot be scored for the lack of detail. Those details are promised to us AFTER we vote? Not good enough for a reasonable person.
Maybe just maybe when my old party gets the bee Jesus beat out of them they will
kick out the teabaggers and get back to doing the Real Americans Work.
And the two nitwitt (R&R) can go home, where ever that maybe and whine
Red,
Bush was a C student at Yale, Obama was Harvard Law Review. LOL that turkey!
Boner and his G-O-Pee is doing his same old trick of peeing on the poor and middle class: either a trickle-down B.S. or 'After - me - the - deluge' insanity
Obamacare emphasizes government control and central planning. The law empowers a panel of 15 unelected government officials, called the Independent Payment Advisory Board, to make changes to the Medicare program that will reduce Medicare spending: primarily paying doctors and hospitals less, as is done with the Medicaid program. Over time, liberal health-policy types hope that IPAB can be used to introduce rationing into Medicare, using the panel to determine what types of procedures and treatments that Medicare will and will not pay for.
No doubt, Obama is working hard to continue the safety net for seniors. After all he claims that now Medicare which was going broke in 8 years when he took office, is saved because his policies have extended the life to 12 years. Wow, a whole four more years! That is the same as whoops, four more years, well okay lets take credit for it. This fact is a simple one, Obama will say anything to try and convince everyone that he has actually done something. It is only guaranteed to work on liberals.
Turning Medicare into a voucher handout is a biggie, but that's not all The Ryan Plan guts. Every single thing that you could name or think of that would benefit the elderly, the middle class, and the poor gets gutted under Ryan.
The ONLY folks The Ryan Plan benefits are the Rich, with more tax cuts, and it probably has a lot to do with the fact that Paul Ryan himself is set to inherit his family's fortune, so Ryan wants to change the laws for all of us, just to protect himself.
Obama/Biden 2012
This new so called GOP will NEVER be on the offense agian. EVER! You have crossed the line to many times this last DECADE. This new so called GOP has cost this country entirely to much of it's dignity and honor. BOTH from within and without. Republicans have GOT to start electing TRUE americans damnit. NOT the OBVIOUS phonies they have now. COME ON republicans! IT IS OBVIOUS and HAS BEEN since the FIRST DAY of this administration.
Unbelievable.
My God, I cannot believe the Republicans are continuing to claim President Obama's cuts to Medicare do anything but make Medicare more efficient - and they don't acknowledge the Ryan budget preserves those Obama cuts!
Unbelievable!
Amy -
I knew going into this campaign that Romney was a flip/flopper, but he has topped himself.
Now he is against Welfare Waivers, Wind Power Tax Credits, the Auto Bailout, and Medicare Cost Reductions - which several Republican governors are for!

what is with the lefttards making statements about being on ignore? as if i care they ignore me or anyone else. You tools live in a small world and it only gets smaller.
Lets discuss the laser focus of Obama with rising gas, food, unemployment? Lets talk about the private sector is doing fine.
Nope, class warfare and tax returns. lets do talk about Medicade and how its going broke and yet no one wants to tackle it. How about immigration?
You enjoy your cranial rectal inversion TP, Seeking, Fisty. No sleep will be lost over your ignorance

Which makes First Read a much more pleasant experience! ;o)
Take away the "trolls-treats" and they'll move on...
Feisty, it is my misfortune that I can no longer deep fried trolls. I now have to boil them ... boiled frog .. ribbit ... yeech! I am however thinking of opening a chain of restaurants under the name of Troll Fil-A. All dishes come with a serving of Caesar Augustus.
Feisty Redhead Roselle, IL -- Right. It's the same as graffiti. If you paint over it immediately, the vandals give up. I won't invoke Beetle Juice, but it is really about attention seeking as well as destroying property, or in this case trying to suppress free speech.
Do not feed the trolls. Put them on ignore if you have to.

The Weeper of the House tries to calm his caucus that now
realizes they are in for a very rough reelection thanks to Mitt Romney picking
Paul Ryan.
They are going to get very quiet when Romney or especially
Ryan comes knocking for support.
The 'do nothing congress' going back to "where are the jobs"......
That's really funny in a twisted way!
The Weeper and Mr. Marvelous are in Congress and should be proud of their accomplishments to stop/defeat everything that the President proposed.
Own It!....Be Proud TeaPeople!....Don't try to put the blame where it DOES NOT belong!
Dennis,
It's going to be interesting to see how many seats this BOLD choice costs them! lol
Feisty, the 'down-ballot' is going to be the most interesting show to watch! Blue dog Democrats were distancing themselves from ACA and now moderate Republicans are going to do the same thing - but on a budget THEY VOTED FOR!
To all - I saw today that Congress's received their lowest vote of confidence YET by the American people. Hopefully we can vote most of the obstructionists out!
Obama/Biden 2012 and a Democratic Congress!!!
I think the American voters are now blaming Congress as much, if not more than the President for our countries wrong direction.
Recent primaries have seen several incumbents loose. While the 2010 freshmen are doing okay the establishment Congresspersons are in trouble with republicans at home.
Ursula,
Another nail in Joe "Dead-Beat Daddy" Walsh's coffin! ☺
The weeper better be worried. Of course you have to wonder how many house members will go out on the campaign stump with Ryan (aka Little Eddie)
You don't want to be associated with Little Eddie, because he wants to give Granny and Grampy a little voucher instead of the Medicare they've come to know and love.
Feisty - we have to believe the people of Illinois will come to their senses and get rid of deadbeat Dad Walsh. With him constantly trashing our Iraq War veteran about her service he should be drummed out of Washington forever!
What I love is that women are going to beat this duo of misogynists to a Santorium.
blackcatwhitecat- absolutely - and what perfect payback - to have their defeat handed to them by a large female majority!
Obama/Biden 2012
We could return to the first two years of the Obama presidency when Democrats controlled all three executive branches of government. What did they get done other then ramming a healthcare take over down the throats of a nation that opposed it? Absolutely nothing. Obama will say anything to try and convince everyone that he has actually done something. Guaranteed to work on all liberals.
Sounds like Speaker Boehner is awfully nervous about something...
...like maybe having to give up that oversized gavel that he had specially made for him?
Cry me a river, pal.
Me thinks, Otis was trying to compensate what he is *ahem* lacking in other areas...
did your gender reassignment go wrong fisty? you have an affinity with the groin area. white collars balls, my "little finger" , Boehners package?
Last year, 235 House Republicans and 40 Republicans Senators--98 percent of all Republicans in Congress voted for Little Eddies budget and its blueprint to rationing Medicare. So, there will be a lot of running away going on between now and the election.
Job1,
Looking forward to the next poll when this question about Medicare will be polled.

devie - you are not allowed to say Republican and logic in the same post. It just DOES NOT fit!
Obama/Biden 2012
Wow, still seeking sanity actually wrote the word logic. I wonder if she is still okay or did it burn when she wrote it? Obama will say anything to try and convince everyone that he has actually done something. Guaranteed to work on all liberals.
Your medicare and social security are not entitlements - you paid into them, they belong to you. If robme and ryry want to do away with them then they need to hand all of us a check for the amount we have paid in plus interest - wonder what that would do to the national debt?
Love the thought of the lounge act Pat! good one, or perhaps they could continue to be the pirates they really RRRR ,(haha just could not resist).

Romney has said he will end ObamaCare. This means Medicare the years that Obama extended it.
Romney also says he will make it so Medicare isn't changed until 2023.
Romney, your partner Ryan said those insurance handouts that Obama cut were necessary to extend Medicare to 2023.
Romney's plan will end Medicare even earlier than Ryan does in 2023.
Obamacare emphasizes government control and central planning. I must really piss off the GOP deep down to be fighting for Medicare like this considering they'd prefer to just do away with the whole damn thing.
Why is anyone interviewing this idiot. He is one of the main obstacles to anything getting done at a national level.
This guy John Boehner is the poster child for everything WE the electorate dislikes about their elected representatives and Washington DC.
When has he done anything meaningful for this country except being another cog in the a political machine.
You are absolutely right Cycledude, without Boehner in the way we would already have become a socialist nation under the Obama lead by George Soros plan. Obama will say anything to try and convince everyone that he has actually done something. Guaranteed to work on all liberals.
Mr. Boehner, I'm asking...a LOT of people are asking....Where are Romney's tax returns? Why doesn't he respect the American people enough to release them? What is he hiding? And you've got to be kidding about the Medicare stuff....a voucher system...cause that always works! By the way, Romney's new line is that Ryan is joining him; that's Ryan will fall in line.....apparently Romney doesn't like Ryan's plan either.....but what if heaven forbid they were elected and heaven forbid something happened where Ryan became president (that is the main qualification for the VP)....we're stuck with Ryan's budget and his antiquated social policy!!!
Sueb1 - good luck with getting any answers - or tax returns from the Romney camp! They have nothing so they're not really saying much!
Seeking, I figure if we all call for those tax returns every day, he may have no choice. We, of the 99%, outnumber the 1%!!!!!!!
Sueb1.........Sue boo.... they have nothing to hide......so please, let us relax, until, stories - come - to - bump.....every-day bucket going to the well....one day it will drop out.................................chill---out Sue--boo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Besides Boehner being typically "offensive" has anyone notices the latest propaganda from Romney and ryan? Want ridiculous, consider this, Romney and Ryan are now touting that they are for the middle-class. That really should be insultingly offensive for the majority as it is literally taking for granted that they can dupe the people with it. The last twelve years have seen the Republican / Tea Party totally fixated on catering to the 1%, their strong supporters and masters, while taking the 99% for granted ... they have simply done absolutely nothing for the middle-class, in fact they have cost them substantially by catering solely to the interests of “the money”. The Republicans have consistently supported the pushing of America into being a two-class society with the 1% always feeding their insatiable “more” (never enough) appetite, while the 99% constantly looses more. Romney is actually one of the 1%, has a history of concentrating on the goals of the 1% and all along has loyally advocated support for the 1%’s interests. Ryan has consistently voted and spoken in complete support of the 1%’s interests, even to pushing policies that not only favor them but also that cost the 99% greatly. What this clearly shows is that they don’t respect the intelligence of the majority and will actually do / say anything. What the majority needs to do is deliver the message that they aren’t so easily conned, used and abused by firmly rejecting their deceptive rhetoric and them with it.
As a conservative. I want all government cut. Ryan claims conservatism but then picks the winners and the losers. Me being a 45 year old who doesnt want to work until 70 to pay for some boomer pig who ruined this country. I want to see a comprehensive plan to trim a trillion off the government dole listed out . If not, I split the ticket and we let them duke it out for another 4 years. Likely, we will get a better outcome.
Ryan and Romney BOTH want to privatize Social Security, and give the money to Wall Street. They also want to eliminate the Capital Gains tax to benefit them and their wealthy buddies - and they plan to pay for it by eliminating deductions like the mortgage deduction many Americans rely on.
I doubt its that bad, but ryan leaves that impression. The problem is 1 dimensional thought will not win this election. If your going to preach austerity. Everyone takes a bath, not just a few of interests that don't donate to the dole. OBama is smart enought to know that. He also knows like a good ponzi, the last guy in gets blamed. Not the guys' who caused it all.
Even with pants on fire and tons of pinocchios the Republicans continue their lies. Fact check before you spout this stuff cryin' Johnny. Fact check. Try it some time.
The CBO and pretty well ALL economist have already rated Ryan's budget a HUGE failure that creates massive deficits and all but destroys the Medicare system entirely (Something Republicans have tried to do every since it's creation)
Speaker Boehner is living in fantasy land. Paul Ryan is a Ayan Rand disciple. Romney claim to be a severe conservative. Now he select a very extreeme ideologue as his running mate. The Ryan choice is sure to alienate not only women and medicare/medicaid recipients but every clear thinking American.
As a die hard conservative. I would agree. Paul ryan should not be on the ticket. Cut medicare...bad news. The boomers and everyone else will castrate him politically. Goodbye romney. If he goes on record as cutting defense, education and the farm bill, I may give him a look. But to pick winners and losers while giving his friends the good deal...... With the loser being me cause I am 45 and he wants me to work til 70...Forget him. I hate obama cause what he did to the economy but a divided government is still better than this dribble.
I am a Democrat and would listen to Romeny and Ryan if there were any substance to their plans. There are no details, a plan that cannot be scored and so on. To tell the people of this country that we will give you the details after the election is like saying "trust me". Sorry, I don't trust them to do what is best for this country after the obstruction they have caused.
Romney/Ryan....burn baby burn
Paul Ryan and those his "new brand" sorta remind me of an old Chad Mitchell Trio song "Barrys Boys".
Update a few of the names and the election of 1964 suddenly sounds like 2012.
Republicans in the House passed Ryan's horrible Budget with the agenda to turn Medicare into a voucher program. The Senate put a stop to it. The Ryan Budget also included more cuts to other vital programs for the poor. It has the ever recurring huge tax cuts for the wealthy that is about all the GOP really stands for anymore. It is obvious that the GOP does want to cut more benefits. Ryan is a liar and he lies when he says anything is taken from Medicare by President Obama. President Obama is making sure that the health care industry pays more and he is cracking down on fraud and waste and subsidies to insurance companies. The Ryan plan hurts the elderly and he and his right wing minions are well aware that it is Democrats who stand strong for Medicare. We also know republicans have been opposed to Medicare, Social Security and would privatize it all in a minute if given the chance. They really are a ruthless bunch.
The Romney Ryan plans are for the wealthy to have more tax cuts. When will people wake up that these republicans sign the Grover Norquist Pledge and that is the writing on the wall. They won't cooperate in any reasonable way. Romney won't put out any tax returns and now he won't put out any plans at all about what he would do other than keep increasing the deficit with handouts to the rich. But with more cuts to the middle class and poor. A more worthless and greedy group of corporate elite you won't find than Romney and Ryan.
American Austerity Plan Medicare
This is the Crying guys answer to the problems here LOL
All the money the Government needs is here in the form of tax dollars. We just need to build it, sell it here period.
The money problems, Jobs. would soon go away. The social security problem would have plenty of money.
LOL The so called leaders of the Free world here and in the EU can not figure out where the money went can you say here's your sign.
China the US and EU biggest trading partner.
Many of China's Generals have said and still say the only way to resolve the boarder problems in the yellow sea with the US is war plain and simple.
Yet the US and EU still keep trading helping build the Chinese Military as well as the Chinese economy while destroying their own economies.
Chinese news station based outside the country, in regard to recent speculation that Iran would be the target of a US-Israeli military assault, Major General Zhang Zhaozhong commented that, “China will not hesitate to protect Iran even with a third world war,”
So where do you stand with Trade in CHINA Romney or Obama I will tell you the same stupid place NOWHERE and Nothing both of the Possible Leaders of the Free world have noting to say on this LOL.
BYE BYE Miss AMERICAN PIE
This morning I read an article on Ann Romney and her reason why Mitt isn't releasing any more of his taxes. It goes something like this, we haven't done anything wrong but we don't want to realease them. Because that'll give ammo to his opponent. I say if you don't have anything to hide then why hide in the first place.... Can you say "Oximoron". Then I hear that the repubs are defending the middle class, yet they still practice trickle down economics and are still trying to give the upper class another tax break. Again I say "Oximorons", adding the (s) at the end. But now you have Boehner saying to his flock to not fear or worry about the medicare controversy that is about to hit the repubs up really hard. Knowing that the GOP is against any type of their evil word called "Entitlements". Leaves me with only one word and that is "Oximoronic". Because why else would a whole party try to deflect and shift their position on something that they are firmly against. Unless of course it's a losing battle... Henceforth the word for this GOP political field is "Oximorons" that are trying to change their way of telling folks what they're really going to do if elected... Instead of being truthful...
Go figure them out, then get out there and vote...
There are more Democrats the Republicans.
Vote this November
Why should romney release his tax returns? You don't trust the IRS to do their job? Your folks are in charge are they not? Oh thats right, the treasury security--a convicted tax cheat is in charge .
..... My only beef with the vp pick is it is 1 dimensional at the expense of everything else. If ryan said cut it all, it would be good. But he won't and romney wont either so they are easy prey for a counter campaign. Heck, I could go after him. See Granny! --ryan is going to throw her out of the nursing home and make her go back to work until she is 102. OBama has to be licking his chops at this stupid pick.
JOKER, it's not only a question of legality, but ethics and morality as well. Lot's of things are legal but that doesn't make them good or right.
Besides, Willard is running on the fact that he is a business wizard and knows how to handle money. That's his big claim to fame. Therefore it's only natural that people would want to see his records. If there is nothing to hide then why not release them? His father released 12 years worth.
And yes, it was a really dumb pick.
Joker, if Romney took the amnesty deal on his Swiss bank accounts, then he committed tax evasion. This would make him ineligible to be president. If he did take the deal, it would have to be on his taxes.
I want to see 2007 / 2008 / 2009
Reason is 95% of all Americans lost over 44% of their combined wealth and assets.
When such a massive transference of wealth occurs it is reasonable to assume that someone ....somewhere recieved this wealth.
I suspect he was on the receiving end.
When and if American finds out....Bye-Bye Romney.
People are pissed, there are some that lost everything they had worked their whole lives for, and if he was one of the fortunate few who took their money...He's Done!
The most obvious problem with Repubs that sticks out from this is that they look at this and SS and retirement pensions all as something to attack on, it reminds me of chicken little or Cheney warning if you don't elect republicans the terrorist will strike again and the sky will fall. If they spent half of that energy on bipartisan programs to develop jobs and Treasury income from those new jobs, we would be about back to normal unemployment and economic indicators in just 4 years after their Bush crash. But NOOOO, they must stop any democrat from having any success even at the cost of wiping out the average Americans, some who were stupid enough to trust repubs.
BigBearcatBill, you got that right!!!
My only question for Boehner. Do you spray it on or use a tanning bed?
Stop pretending that you have any power. The GOP is in control of the TP's like that mouse Cantor and the silver spoon boy wonder Ryan.
I think its a creamy hand gel.
