Sounds like your setting up an excuse for losing the election, Robb. That "blame the liberal media" schtick is getting mighty old. And don't even talk about rigging an election. You guys are the real pros at that. The hanging chads in Florida in 2000 proved that. Now let's talk about voter suppression.

DOJ has announced that “after a careful review” and more than a year of “thorough investigation,” it has determined that “based on the law and evidence as they exist at this time, there is not a viable basis to bring a criminal prosecution with respect to Goldman Sachs or its employees in regard to the allegations” set forth in Levin-Colburn report on financial meltdown.

No Brock, not this one. They are putting out their standard bull, but the Patriot American apathy will not be repeated in 2008. It will be repeated in 2012 however. 2010 was a shellacking for the democrat-communist party. 2012 will be a blood bath. And we will be rid of this communist fraud once and for always.

MSNBC is the worst network ever. All they do is shill for Obama the worst all time President. After reading the post on this site it makes me think your all paid to post here. I'm surprised I don't see Obama ads like on yahoo's site. I'll check back in November after Obama gets beat worst than Jimmy Carter. In the meantime just keep patting each other on the back thinking your man is a shoe in. On the other hand you might want to get your crying towels ready.

the top Republican in the state House of Representatives, Mike Turzai, declared that a new requirement for voters to show identification with a photograph on it “is going to allow Gov. [Mitt] Romney to win the state of Pennsylvania.” He drew wild applause from Republicans in the crowd.
The result is that 9.2 percent of the state’s 8.2 million voters are suddenly at risk of losing their right to vote.

OMG, i saw that on the daily show too, there is no way you could change the context of a 12second clip to make it seem that eliminating votes is what he was talking about. There is also no way he was referring to the fact that without the fraudulent votes the dems wouldnt be getting all the votes of the dead and of those who didnt actually vote.

Yea he must have been saying what the libs have been saying, "suppressing the vote of those blacks and latinos that are too dumb and useless to acquire an ID will ensure our win." Good thing libs think so little of minorities.

"suppressing the vote of those blacks and latinos that are too dumb and useless to acquire an ID will ensure our win."

The clown Al Franken won a fraudulent election . Obama wants do the same.

When 1100 felons vote in a tight election and the result was decided by just 312 votes, maybe there really is a problem with voter fraud.

And that's just what happened in Minnesota in 2008, when Democrat Al Franken beat Republican Norm Coleman by 312 votes, giving a filibuster-proof majority to the Democrats so they could end up passing Obamacare.

The Minnesota Senate result was contested by Franken and an army of lawyers who ended up litigating a win. Now, because of the work of a group Minnesota Majority and reported by John Fund and Hans von Spasky in their new book "Who's Counting," it seems Franken's victory may be based on inelligible voting by convicted criminals.

"Minnesota Majority began to look into claims of voter fraud. Comparing criminal records with voting rolls, the group identified 1,099 felons -- all ineligible to vote -- who had voted in the Franken-Coleman race," York writes.

"Minnesota Majority took the information to prosecutors across the state, many of whom showed no interest in pursuing it. But Minnesota law requires authorities to investigate such leads. And so far, Fund and von Spakovsky report, 177 people have been convicted -- not just accused, but convicted -- of voting fraudulently in the Senate race. Another 66 are awaiting trial. "The numbers aren't greater," the authors say, "because the standard for convicting someone of voter fraud in Minnesota is that they must have been both ineligible, and 'knowingly' voted unlawfully."

That means that at least 243 votes of the 312 margin of Franken's victory were fraudulent.

With a ruling expected next week on Pennsylvania's new voter ID law , it is more important than ever to remember that integrity at the polls can be decisive to the result, just look at Minnesota in 2008.

Democrats want felons, and dead people voting for Obama.

The context is that Democrats will no longer be able to cast more votes than there were voters,(Philidelphia), and then claim, well, We don't know what happened but there's no REAL evidence of voter fraud. Now if We can only find a way to control places like Washington State and Minnesota, where Dems with their "magic" ballots that they always seem to find from such places as the trunks of their cars and boxes in back rooms that were somehow "overlooked" but have just enough votes for their candidate to win, and then the multiple recounts are halted with no need for any further verification or investigation because "their" guy,(or gal) is now the winner, and now,We have Massachusetts, Dems sending out voter registrations to everyone on welfare, not everyone, just those on welfare, while other Dems in otherstates are going to court to restrict and suppress the rights of military voters, in order to obtain......justice? Yup, You Dems have become caricatures of yourselves, arrogant ,rude, self righteous, corrupt, wild eyed, crazy extremist, with scraggly beards and/or granny dresses and Che and Obama T-shirts,doing anything you can to retain power for your leaders by any means necessary, leaders who could really care less about you, that for years, have kept you in economic slavery and dependent on them.Do you think they ever really want to release you from their grip? How many years has the great society and its poverty pimp administrators been running?40,50 Years? and the only folks getting any where are those in power, but they still making them promises, promises that they have now extended to women, gays, Hispanics, students, anyone frightened, naive, greedy,or desperate enough to believe them and exploit, and then do what they are told to do,or vote for who they are told to vote for, as many times as it takes.

prove it to me that the crap you just wrote is true. Come on, I know you can prove all that fraud even though the none of the Republicans COULD SO FAR and that includes the The Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA).

The Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) in an attempt to discredit a NAACP report this week on the lack of voter fraud evidence has bolstered the view that there is no need for voter ID laws, imposed by many states.

hahahah, thanks to RNLA, we all know that Republicans are fighting IMAGINARY voter fraud!

show me, don't just talk about it, prove it!

Pennsylvania admits it: no voter fraud problem

A court filing by the state of Pennsylvania, ahead of a trial starting later this week on a lawsuit filed by civil rights groups against the state’s new voter fraud law, contains an astounding admission:

The state signed a stipulation agreement with lawyers for the plaintiffs which acknowledges there “have been no investigations or prosecutions of in-person voter fraud in Pennsylvania; and the parties do not have direct personal knowledge of any such investigations or prosecutions in other states.”

In other words, the state knows that voter fraud is a nonexistent problem, but will nonetheless defend a law that could potentially disenfranchise a huge number of the state’s voters

The key phrase is "there have been no investigations", but if you really want to know if there is cause for investigations, Google" voter fraud, Philidelphia, 2008 election" You will get 1,580,000 results! and as You read through the hundreds of articles, listing eyewitness accounts of the irregularities and outright criminal activities that took place, a normal, rational, person might ask why there were no investigations, unless of course your are a Progressive, Socialist, Marxist, Communist, or Radical and /or one of their sympathizers or useful lapdogs,(why else, in the face of such massive amounts of documented evidence would you not even want to find out?), in which case, You will just want to "Move On", insisting there is nothing to see.

Don't take my word for it- take Lanny Davis' word for it. He summed it up quite nicely.

Silly journalists. You even forgot the questions- never mind not getting the answers.

Oh. And the murder ad? It's just despicable, especially ci spidering that the guy who made it- with Stephanie Cutter's direction, no less- got offered a buy-out, which he refused.

                  ______________

Please DO NOT bow down to the Romney people. They have yet to make one single factual statement. Below is what we are up against. Keep hammering Romney and the ENTIRE Republican Party. They are people who are not, I repeat, are not interested in democracy here in America. THIS IS A MUST READ.

                  Daily Kos:

Did you watch Rev. Al Sharpton's Politics Nation show on MSNBC tonight? If not, all I can say is "Wow."

"If you watch him talking with Al Sharpon tonight, I think you'll agree with me that he's totally sincere in his disgust of the Republican Party's current focus on voter suppression, and he had an inside view of these efforts that stunned me, jaded as I am."

                  Greer's Comments:

                  - In his 3.5 years as Florida GOP party chair, he was in numerous meeting about changing the voter registration and voter ID laws in Florida, and in not one of those meetings was voter fraud EVER brought up as a concern by Republican strategies. The main concern of the GOPers in Florida, according to Greer, was that they prevent a repeat of Obama's 2008 victory in Florida (Greer kept repeating that point). Voter fraud is merely a GOP "marketing tool" with "no validity to it," Greer said.

                  - Greer lamented that the "Republican Party has given up on minority voters," and so their strategy right now is to keep as many minorities from voting as possible. He expressed his disgust at this tactic. He said that as chair of the Florida GOP he tried to develop strategies for the party to reach out to minority populations, but was rebuffed at every turn.

                  - Greer described the Republican Party in Florida, and in many other states, as having been overtaken by "pitchfork, torching-bearing mobs looking for Frankenstein" rather than being a party about ideas and principles and running about what they stand for. He said the current Florida GOP leaders "hate" moderate Republicans like him and Charlie Crist. "It's very sad what's going on in the Republican Party," Greer said.

                  - Greed claimed that Florida's new law to limit the length of early voting, which was pushed through by Republicans, was intended solely to reduce the number of minorities and young people who are able to vote, since the data show that they are more likely to vote in early voting.

                  ___________

And the only thing the GOP pundits/journalists are concerned about is Romney's spokeswoman from yesterday? Just goes to show you how little the Republican Party give a damn about America and its citizens.

Has Romney or any of his SuperPACs aired even one positive ad with any details about what Romney plans to do if he were POTUS?

So far it has been five negative ads by Team Romney for every one negative ad by the president -- AND the president's ads have been policy criticisms for the most part while Romney's ads have been outright lies. The ad about work for welfare takes the gold medal for the most blatant LIE of all.

Stay Klassy Romney, and show us your tax returns!

TruePatriot, there is nothing wrong with the ads running on behalf of President Obama. They are doing a great job. We need President Obama for another term. We need him and VP Biden.

Republicans can't handle the truth. So they come up with voter suppression. They are bad bad people. No freakin' good.

They are literally attempting to take away our democracy.

                  The Truly Great American

Please America, remember our history. And please, remember what Thurgood Marshall did for us all, regardless of the color of our skin. We must never allow his years of righting so many wrongs be trampled upon. Never. We must fight like he fought for 60 years. 60 years.

                  ______________

Yet if whites could see Thurgood Marshall more clearly, they might see the
most important black man of this century, a man who rose higher than any black person before him and who has had more effect on black lives than any other person, black or white. Perhaps even more important to many blacks, Marshall got where he is the hard way by risking his life and reputation to help them.

"Thurgood Marshall is the living embodiment of how far we Americans have come on the major concern in our history - race - and how far we've got to go,'' says Drew Days, professor of law at Yale and former assistant attorney general for civil rights. "He has been a conscience. In the law he remains our supreme
                  conscience."

He has been much more than a minority spokesman. Says John Hope Franklin: "If you study the history of Marshall's career, the history of his rulings on the
Supreme Court, even his dissents, you will understand that when he speaks, he is not speaking just for black Americans but for Americans of all times. He reminds us constantly of the great promise this country has made of equality, and he reminds us that it has not been fulfilled. Through his life he has been a great watchdog, insisting that this nation live up to the Constitution."

                  http://www.thurgoodmarshall.com/speeches/tmlaw_article.htm

Mr. Marshall served on the Supreme Court until his retirement in 1991. After he died on Jan. 24, 1993, Chief Justice William Rehnquist summed up well the impact of Mr. Marshall's life's work. He talked about the words that are inscribed above the front entrance to the Supreme Court building: "Equal justice under law," adding, "Surely no one individual did more to make these words a reality than Thurgood Marshall."

                  __________

Please America. Fight back. For Thurgood Marshall. And for all those voters who will be turned away, yet again.

The GOP deserve nothing and I hope the Obama campaign continues to hammer home just exactly who this Mitt guy is and what he represents. It's not pretty.

President Obama is doing a great job on the campaign trail. Great job. We need him.

Of course there is no ads about the bitchen-ness of o'care, the continued $1 trillion deficits, or an explanation as to why O did not cut the deficit in half, or close Gitmo.

GOP's giant moral & ethical problems were confirmed.

Now, the far-right officials at state level aim to work a repeat of Florida 2000 -- now acknowledged as a manipulated election result.

Florida Governor Rick Scott, clearly off his rocker and power mad, has been insanely intent on voter suppression - even after the DOJ told him to stop, and all the election officials from both sides - told him NO.

                  Pat,

The GOP is fighting for their very existence. The party of NO has now extends their mantra to NO voters .

In Florida , PA, Ohio, the voter suppression laws devised by ALEC is to keep the poor, working class and even many elderly from voting.

In MN our governor vetoed a voter ID law. So the tea party legislators have put an voter ID on the ballot as a constitutional amendment. But the statement to be voted on is to give the next legislature to spell out the details of a new voter law by July 2013.

Get out the vote and educationg people aobut the various state election law is critical. voting is one of most fundamental rights in a free democracy.

                  Spanky,

You will have to ask Anna about Wi.

The 2010 election had a 47% turnout of eligible voters. Hardly a mandate.

In MN 2010, we elected a Dem for Governor after eight years of Pawlenty.

                  Our state senate turned GOP.

We lost one district to the GOP, kept all the others.

Both you and I know that it does not matter that the race is tied. It is all about electoral count. Obama is ahead and moving forward.

You got one race right (WI) and you now think you are Carnack !

That ad illustrates what happens when people lose good-paying jobs because of corporate raiding and off-shoring. The man had to take a job as a janitor so struggled to pay for things like health insurance in the years after. Because they did not have health insurance all those years later, his wife's cancer was not detected until it was too late.

You or I may not blame Romney directly (though I agree with the man that Romney lacks concern about such things) but the Private Inequity and Vulture Capitalism is to blame for such damage, not just to this couple, but to all Americans for the last 30-40 years.

A plutocrat like Romney and the rightwing oligarchy he aligns with would love to continue with their supply-side voodoo economics to enrich themselves and impoverish the rest of society. This "cancer" ad is about the choice voters will have about policies -- To continue with failed GOP/Bush-era economic/tax policies that caused the Great Recession -- Or to move forward with the president and Democrats for a more fair tax policy and growing the middle class and increasing upward mobility.

When the middle class does well, everyone does better including businesses and the rich, and most of all democracy.

If the horse would have won, the Romneys would be called the winners. The horse lost so are they losers too?

Obama will become Romney's punching bag after the convention. Polls show Romney with a 4 point lead today.

Have you heard what physicist discovered at the LHC when two liberals were smashed together at close to the speed of light?

Three new quarks have been discovered. 1. The kettle quark is a very tiny particle that results in kettle logic. That is when a liberal uses multiple inconsistent arguments to defend a position. 2. The reality fallacy quark is a super small particle that results in mind projection fallacy. That’s when a
liberal considers the way he sees the world is the way the world really is. 3. The dump quark is a necessary particle that adds form and color to turds. Hey Pat, I noticed you have a very high forehead. That’s a symptom that your brain is starving for oxygen. You might need to get that checked out.

You're an idiot. You have no idea WHO or what you're talking about. Do you know who that is a picture of?

They're both distorting the truth, Romney moreso, but neither camp is innocent. Obama doesn't want to discuss the current situation because the economy is bad. Mitt Romney doesn't want to discuss the current issues, because most of the Republican positions are unpopular. So they both attack the other, hoping to drum up enough negativity about the other guy to win by default. There is no "pro" in this campaign. They either want you to vote against Obama or vote against Romney. Personally, I dislike Mitt Romney a lot more right now.

Conservatives say they love America. But they continually express a very deep hatred for society. I guess the double standard is in the DNA. or is it RNC?

Before any contradiction repubs, think about the word "society"

And tell me what's worse, the cooperation of a society, or total anarchy? Privatized healthcare, privatized retirement, privatized education. "you need a job? start your own company"

On FOX the exact same story would say "Today, in a gesture of unprecedented generosity, Mitt Romney gave several people hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cancer. Can't say anything good about Obama"

Dean from 3rd world Wisconsin, GOP has a hatred for society? You mean socialism, which is exactly where we are headed... into the abyss. What does every socialist government in the world have in common? They got their power by deceiving the gullible masses. I pray (OMG, did I say pray in a public forum? shame on me) for a better future than where your chosen screw up of a leader is taking us. Our country's founders are rolling over in their graves. Twoifbytea.... nice.

Deceiving gullible masses. The entire Bush Jr. presidency was exactly that.

Surviving 8 years under Jr. proved we can survive anything.

Obama's level of responsibility for the country today is like your mess in the bathroom when your kids plug up the toilet and you flush it. It's all your fault, you were there.

Obama will do anything to get re-elected. Specially divert attention from the economy and how his efforts failed. He said he would cut the deficit in half. He complained how Bush spent so much. Time to retire Obama.
