Veepstakes: Ryan rising

RYAN: Robert Costa: “These days, you hear it everywhere — from Republican donors and veteran operatives, and at Capitol Hill watering holes. A few weeks ago, it was a wishful rumor floating in the Beltway ether. Now, sources close to the Romney campaign say it’s for real, that the taciturn former Massachusetts governor is quietly warming to the idea. Representative Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, the budget king of the GOP, may be Mitt Romney’s veep.”

So now we will know who "Myth"Romney's political guru is. Paul Ryan, the one who wants to give a foolhardy Medicare plan to Seniors; exchanging their lives for coupons worth $6,000.

I thought their mark up said the coupon was worth 800.00 .. The remaining 7,200.00 a year was the seniors responsibility or their family's responsibility. In some states they are already sending nursing home patients back home .. So the family to care for them .

Ryan would be a good choice ... he has a feel for financial matters while Obama is totally clueless !

Our country is about $16 trillion in debt and THERE HAVE BEEN NO BUDGETS !!! ..... under obama's failed leadership. All we have seen is a rapid rise in the national debt, a failed "Stimulus" for shovel-ready jobs that were NOT so shovel ready, a bailout of GM's woefully underfunded pension plans (yes, they filed bankruptcy anyway) and more expensive federal giveaway programs such as Obamacare.

Remember, under Obamacare, those who "cannot afford" their health insurance will be SUBSIDIZED by the federal government ...... BACKDOOR WELFARE at its finest with Uncle Sam in control !

Ryan will help give our country a budget which will be a blueprint for achieving financial stability again.

Ryan being the GOP choice for Vice President would truly crystallize the issues in this election. Do you want a government which is by of and for the [human] people or do you prefer a government which lets the poor fend for themselves and die if they must ? Do you want to see a fair tax system, or the end of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid ?

Kicking the poor to the curb will be the kindest treatment under the GOP. More than likely, you will find the poor, the elderly, the disabled, women, children and veterans just turned out into the streets. The Republican party truly is not concerned about a $60billion sequester, they plan to just cut off the VA.

Drip, as soon as you start spouting what Republican plans are, you lose all credibility.

Ryan rising is a sure indication the GOP is falling even further and faster. What an implosion! Could the GOP sink any lower?

Well I keep thinking they can't SeekingSanity. But just when I think they can't sink any lower they surprise me.

Ex-Governor Romney has no DC experience. He really needs an insider to watch is back if elected. Joe Biden is not universally admired but he has been critical to Obama's governance.

President Obama and his election campaign have got so much material on Romney to campaign with they don't need any more. But if Willard wants to put Ryan out there and give the Democratic Liberals more material to run against Willard, bring it on.

Wait till you see what "Willard" has. He is just smart enough to hold on to it and not play it too early like the Obama "in panic mode" camp.

I really think Mitt Romney is being secrative about his plans for any policy that he may implement because he will be like all the GOP governors that got elected in 2010. They never told anyone what they were going to do until after elected, then they really lowered the boom on their states with outrages legislation. Romney will be the same way especially if he gets a majority GOP in house and senate. Watch out, folks it will be interesting.

The conventional wisdom used to be that the candidate should pick a nonentity as VEEP. Hence Ike picked Nixon, and why Nixon picked Agnew. There were exceptions, Kennedy picked Johnson and Clinton picked Gore (who then picked Lieberman, egad!)

But the conventional wisdom was valid. It was that if the candidate picks a VP with a strong record, the attention is diverted to that record to the disadvantage of the candidate.

If Romney picks Ryan, that is exactly what will happen. If the Ryan budget is ever understood by the electorate (which is unlikely because it doesn't fit on a bumper sticker) the Romney candidacy will be damaged.

The GOP budget can be put on a bumper sticker:

Let the Poor, Old, and Women DIE. Romney/Ryan 2012

                This just in -------

Groupon stock hits all time high following their purchase of Medicare for 2 cents on the dollar. This stock is expected to rise much higher later this year when their bids for Medicaid, Social Security and the VA are approved following their $1 billion donation to GOP election coffers. LOL.
