Obama: 'Romney Hood'

“President Obama says that -- unlike the Old English hero who stole from the rich and gave to the poor -- Mitt Romney wants to do the opposite. ‘It's like Robin Hood in reverse,’ Obama told supporters last night in Connecticut. ‘It's Romney Hood,’” per USA Today.

First Lady Michelle Obama will be on Leno Aug. 13.

A movie about the bin Laden raid and President Obama isn’t even mentioned in it?

Talk about desperation... Is this all Obama has to talk about??

How about talking REAL issues like jobs, debt, middle east, etc... maybe that's the problem... can't talk about them because of the disaster that is the Obama Administration

Well Maxx, you wonder "way" all you want. You forgot to mention Iraq, Saddam was no threat to us either. Just a vow Jr. made in '99. That turned into a REAL war with lots of American, and civilian casualties. The reason jobs and debt are still issues is because conservatives want to keep them that way. By refusing to vote on a bill or to reach any kind of compromise is a sign of how much action they are willing to take to fix the problem.

Let's talk about jobs:

2008 - 2.6 million jobs LOST

2012 - 1,842,011 jobs GAINED

2011 - 1,061,012 jobs GAINED

Romney's record? 47th out of 50 in job growth.

http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/CES0000000001?output_view=net_1mth

want to talk about debt?

Bush inherited a balanced budget, with no deficit but still ran up a deficit, adding about $3.5 trillion to the national debt over two terms. Bush also left the Bush tax cuts that were never offset with spending cuts or other revenue gains, which meant they'd add to the debt indefinitely unless repealed. Bush also passed the costly Medicare prescription drug benefit, without coming up with funds or spending cuts to cover the cost of that either, adding more than $100 billion per year to the debt. Bush also left us with two unpaid wars that were finally put on the books by Obama (about $1.4 trillion). Bush also finished off what was left of Social Security which was also put on the books. Bush also left us with an enourmous Bush mortgage interest that keeps adding up: 1.4 trillion - Incremental interest due to higher debt balances

Interest Expense on the Debt Outstanding

In FY2012, as of the end of June 2012, the Treasury Department has spent $376 Billion of your money on interest payments to the holders of the National Debt.

2011 - $454,393,280,417.03

2010 - $413,954,825,362.17

2009 - $383,071,060,815.42

Bush also left us with high unemployment, lost wages and other effects of the 2007-2009 recession that have eliminated about $1.5 trillion off government tax revenue, effectively forcing Washington to borrow that amount to keep operating at a consistent level.

So tell me, how did Bush manage to f*ck up the good thing and leave the biggest $hit for Obama who you so love to blame for 100% of this Bush f*ck up. I know, you will tell me how it's time to stop blaming Bush and I will tel you, until you can prove to me that Obama's clock got zeroed out on January 20, 2009, Bush will be blamed for this mess.

BTW, Who is the smallest government spender since Eisenhower? Would you believe it's Obama?

Might want to read this and then tell us how great the job market is!!

CNSNews.com) Twenty-eight months after Congress passed President Obama’s signature economic stimulus law, and nearly one year after he declared the summer of 2010 to be “Recovery Summer,” 1.9 million fewer people are employed.

In February 2009, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that 141.7 million people were employed. By the end of May 2011 – the last month for which data are available – that number had fallen to 139.8 million, a difference of 1.9 million.

While the number of people with jobs has increased slightly from its low point during the recession – 137.9 million in December 2009 – those 1.9 million jobs have been lost despite $800 billion in stimulus spending.

This does not mean that the economy is not creating jobs, but rather that it is not creating jobs fast enough to keep up with a combination of layoffs and people entering the job market for the first time.

Obama administration is a disaster and everybody knows it!!

August 3, 2012

(CNSNews.com) - There were 195,000 fewer people employed in the United States in July than in June, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, as the national unemployment rate ticked up from 8.2 percent to 8.3 percent.

Meanwhile, 150,000 people simply dropped out of the labor force during the month and did not seek to find a job.

In June, according to BLS, there had been 142,415,000 people employed in the United States. In July, that dropped to 142,220,000--a decline of 195,000.

Similarly, in June, there were 155,163,000 people in the civilian labor force in the United States. To be counted in the civilian labor force, person must be 16 years old or older, not be in the military, prison or a mental institution, and either have a job or have actively looked for a job in the past four weeks.

In July, the number of people in the civilian labor force was 155,013,000--a decline of 150,000 from June.

Democrats controlled the Senate and the House during the last two years of the Bush administration, held the Presidency and controlled all of Congress for two years of the Obama administration and now control the Presidency and the Senate. There has been ample time and control for the Democrats to do something fiscally responsible. Yet, our nation is in terrible financial condition. The federal debt has grown to over $16 trillion and annual deficits exceed $1 trillion by far. However, the Democrats did narrowly pass Obamacare which will add another trillion in costs in the near term. If interest rates tick up, which they will, each 1% increase in rate will cost us $160 billion in additional interest costs. Even Hilliary Clinton has stated that our massive debt places us in a much weaker position in the world.

Think about this as Obama tours the nation on Air Force One campaigning about minor issues and trying to divide Americans with class warfare. His fiscal irresponsibility has put us in grave danger and to give him another chance to lead our country would be disastrous. Remember, Obama did prepare a budget, however, it was voted down in the Senate 99-0 and in the House 414-0 with not even one Democrat voting for it. Obama has us on the path to become Greece. He has no budget. He has no plans. He has no ideas. He is totally irresponsibile fiscally.

The feeble-minded rightwingers, hahaha. The Tax policy Center reviews Romney's plan--as best they can without more details--and giving it all the benefits of the doubt conclude that Romney wants to give himself even larger tax cuts, and to do it middle class families on average will pay $2,000 more in taxes. Put this into a sound bite and you get Romneyhood, which is Robin Hood in reverse. Nothing desperate there, just genius.

And why are Romney's tax returns so important? Transparency and vetting is important for ALL candidates, especially for POTUS, Commander in Chief, and leader of the free world. Heck, companies will run credit checks on candidates before hiring folks in every day jobs, not to mention getting a mortgage or even approval for a cabinet position.

In particular it is important to see Romney's tax returns. First and foremost because Romney's economic plan, specifically his tax policy is extrinsically linked to how he pays his own taxes. How much would he benefit from his own plan? Voters have a right to know before they go to the polls.

Romney in particular needs to be thoroughly vetted in the area of tax returns, in part due to his vast wealth--setting a historic record--but more importantly because of Romney's track record of NEVER releasing tax returns when he ran for the Senate and then ran for Governor. When he ran for governor, ALL his opponents released many years of tax returns, and Romney still refused to release his -- And instead had the temerity to complain that his opponent's spouse needed to release returns. WTF?

And during these prior campaigns Romney was caught lying about where he filed his taxes in order to cheat on eligibility to run for governor. When he got busted for filing in Utah (where he saved a bunch on $$$) instead of Massachusetts, at first he lied saying he did not know this had happened. Then he was busted for trying to pay taxes in Massachusetts retroactively to avoid getting caught in the first place. There still is no proof that he paid the Massachusetts taxes. Regardless he did such a poor job as governor that he wouldn't have been reelected, and Massachusetts will overwhelming reject Romney in the 2012 election. WTF!?

Aside from transferring the Bahama's trust corp. into Ann's name the day before he was sworn in, and taking the hard drives when he left as governor, Romney blatantly and repeatedly LIED about filing taxes in Massachusetts. We see the same pattern now, with his adamant "It’s untrue, dishonest, and inaccurate. It’s wrong" thou-dost-protest-too-much denial. We see the uncomfortable hehehe laugh when cornered about his finances, and the LIE that he doesn't know if he ever paid less than a 13.9% tax rate, and the second LIE that he will be happy to check and get back with the media.

Of course Romney always does this when on video to deflect, then NEVER gets back with the press reverting to his stance that his finances are private. And he's doing it again, right now. Well of course, because he knows all the other years that he paid less than a 13.9% tax rate, and in fact there may be a year or more when he paid zero taxes. How would that look?

People who defend release of only two recent, sanitized returns ("flukes") with the 2010 still missing important information, and the 2011 being held until as close to the election as possible -- These folks are a delusional minority. Even Ed Rollins and other Republicans say these two years are not sufficient.

Those who parrot Romney's lame excuse the McCain released only two years are not being intellectually honest. McCain's financials have been out for all the years he has been in the Senate, and McCain does not have a portfolio like Romney's and more importantly had not already been caught in lies about his taxes.

Too late. The majority of voters already know Romney is not trustworthy on many levels. Whether extreme flip-flopping, being vague on positions, and just general secrecy, the man is not presidential material. That Romney would be so arrogant to think he could get away with not releasing his tax returns is an insult to the intelligence of the American people.

Romney is so greedy and tight he wouldn't pay taxes starting in 2002 when he knew he would start running for president, or even by 2007 when he did run for president. This in itself tells one a lot about Romney, and his sense of entitlement and belief that he doesn't have to play by the same rules as everyone else. I question Romney's mental stability--not just the bullying, impersonating a cop, not liking to be touched, lack of social skills--the man is not "right in the head."

Romney -- He's not in it for you.

Study: Romney tax plan would result in cuts for rich, higher burden for others. Romney's plan to overhaul the tax code would produce cuts for the richest 5 percent of Americans — and bigger bills for everybody else.

The study was conducted by researchers at the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center - which Romney called "nonpartisan" before his usual, daily flip flop.

This sounds like the old "Workers of the world unite" argument. Of course even Red China has rejected the idea. Maybe the President thinks that we should model our economy after North Korea.

How about those in government steeling from those not in government. The President promised to cut the federal deficit in half by the end of his first term. To do that the 2012 federal deficit cannot exceed 229.27 billion dollars yet the President's own White House is predicting that the deficit will exceed 1.3 trillion dollars. I estimate that this additional 1 trillion plus dollars will end up costing the tax payers more than 9 trillion to repay over the next 170 years. High government salaries and benefits, boondoggles, and waste is where a lot of it is going. I hope that everyone is enjoying riding on those high speed trains that those shovel ready jobs that we have borrowed money to pay for, have provided. What the unemployed needs is better infrastructure that they can use to get to jobs that they do not have. The President is the federal government's chief executive officer and is ultimately responsible for federal spending. I want the President to explain to the people how he is going to keep his promise regarding the deficit. I want the President, as chief executive officer to provide a plan for paying back all of this money that the federal government owes. I think that the tax payers have a right to know what all this money that the federal government has been borrowing is going to end up costing them. Rather than predict what his opponent might do, I want the President to tell us what he is going to do to keep his promised regarding the economy.

You're too funny. I don't claim that Romney didn't improve his unemployment by 0.9% but I am claiming that overall, his record sucked:

The Massachusetts jobs growth over that period, a pitiful 0.9 percent, badly lagged other high-skill, high-wage, knowledge economy states like New York (2.7 percent), California (4.7 percent) and North Carolina (7.6 percent).
MAss suffered the second-largest labor force decline in the nation: Only Louisiana, which was ravaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, saw a bigger decline in its labor force than Massachusetts during Romney’s tenure as governor.

46 states did better than Mass

Romney is like a high school kid who improved his grade from F average to D- average but claims that if he gets into college he will get an A average.

BTW, Romney's predecessor - Cellucci - was also a Republican and as you nicely point out, his ranking sucked.

      Talk to the Hand

But moron, 49 did better than the state before that.

so you are happy with being 47th? By comparison, Massachusetts ranked 37th in job growth under Swift, and it ranked 10th in Patrick’s first term (which was right after Romney!). Again, Romney's rank is right next to post-Katrina Luisiana. THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE PROUD OF???? Befor and after Romney looks 1000% better!

BTW, between July 2002 and July 2006, 222,000 more residents left Massachusetts for other states than came to it. That decline largely explains the state’s decreasing unemployment rate.

And all you libs claim it takes more than four years to clean up the mess you inherit. You are just too funny and too easy.

I will ask you again, if Romney could not clean up the mess in a teeny weeny Massachusetts BEFORE the financial meltdown, why is he being critical of President Obama who inherited Financial meltdown and a $hit for economy???

When Obama took office, the collapsing U.S. economy had contracted by a shocking 8.9 percent the previous quarter. 820,000 Americans lost their jobs that month; all told 2.2 million jobs disappeared in the 3 months before the February 2009 passage of the stimulus.

So please explain to me how is Romney's 2003-2007 Mass economy compares to what we witnessed in Fall 2008/Spring 2009?

And at 4.9%, what company in their right mind would move there to have no labor pool to draw from?

that's your excuse? That companies wouldn't move to Mass so it's not Romnye's fault?

So tell me, knowing what you know, why are the Republicans blocking bills that would bring jobs to USA:

      S. 3364 (Bring Jobs Home Act ) A bill to provide an incentive for businesses to bring jobs back to America.

      or

      S. 3816 (Creating American Jobs and Ending Offshoring Act ) A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to create American jobs and to prevent the offshoring of such jobs overseas.

Why would companies move to the US when they can get a nice fat tax break for offshoring their jobs to China and India???

Another question which you righties refuse to answer: If Romney did so great in Mass, why is he refusing to talk about his "stellar" job growth record? Is Romney bashful or does he know that talking about being 47th out of 50 states is just embarrassing?

BTW, calling someone a moron is not an accomplishment- any 1st-grader can do that. Proving your claim with hard facts is. So please prove to me how Romney is just bragging about his record as Governor of Mass, and please prove to me how being 47th out of 50 is good.

Hey Amy.... who imperiled our Credit rating??? the Party that wants and wanted to put a stop to the crazy spending or the one who spent money that would have had a better use if it was put into toilet paper??? Wow are you libs STUPID!!!!

Which United States political party wants and wanted to put a stop to the crazy spending?

        FROM: www.chadwickresearch.com/blog/2010/10/29/government-spending-as-a-proportion-of-gdp/

Spending may be going up, even in real terms, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the government is taking over the economy, socialism, and all that fun stuff the Tea Partiers like to crow about. Now, I don’t claim that this is a unique insight; government spending as a proportion of GDP is a fairly common measurement in comparative political economic analysis. As a note, measuring spending as a proportion of GDP also helps control for the effects of inflation, since both nominal GDP and federal spending will track inflation at more or less the same rate. snip

This view presents some very interesting information for trendwatchers, in part because it doesn’t show government spending spiraling out of control. In fact, it shows that most government spending is growing more or less in line with the economy as a whole. The most volatile part of current government spending is the defense budget. The FRED data shows that non-defense federal spending has been fairly steady at 2%-3% of GDP. Defense spending registers as larger (often substantially larger) than non-defense spending, and state-and-local-governments are responsible for almost 2/3 of total government spending.

Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush 2 increased government spending AND government jobs more than any Democrats in US history.

Insanity right? Like giving the wealthy "job creators" more tax cuts, because that's worked so well in increasing employment. BTW - overseas jobs don't count. Or how about repealing Dodd/Frank, so the financial markets can go back to those happy days of less regulation, we can have another meltdown, and they can walk away with big profits and the protections of another Bush-era bailout.

I can think of two definite jobs three definite jobs that were created by the last two Democratic Presidents!

President Bill, the draft dodger Clinton created a job for another American citizen by in 1967-68 that had to take his place when he draft-dodged his military duty. Another job he created was in the oval office and there is proof of that on a blue dress somewhere.

Lastly, President Oblumbles created an opening in some village in Delaware for its "idiot" positon when he named Joe Biteme as his vice president.

Get a clue people we need to offer tax cuts to them to keep them, encourage them to expand and bring them in. We only have 4 AAA business's in the USA, 10 years ago we had 50. That is why it takes them so long to reply to any question and it's the reason the Democratic Party is considering an I.Q. tax.... trying to take advantage of the number difference between the average Democratic and Republican intelligence levels. Though greatly outnumbered by registered democratic voters(dead and alive), the intelligence levels wouldmake Conservative and Republican voters pay ten times the amount of taxes than the Democrats.

Remember.... the Democratic Party chose an ass as their party mascot because they thought it best represented their average intelligence profile.

Robin Hood was taking the money the government was stealing from the working man and giving it back to the working man. You can say that Robin Hood was like a tea party supporter and nothing like the liar in chief Obama so Romney should be taking that comment as a compliment.

                            From factcheck.org:

                            factcheck.org/2012/07/obamas-sealed-records/

Q: Are Obama’s early records “sealed”?

A: No. Many records that presidential candidates don’t ordinarily release do remain confidential, but they are not “sealed” by a court. The 16 claims in a widely distributed graphic are mostly false or distorted.

The idea that any Obama record is “sealed” is a falsehood, to start. The word “sealed” when applied to documents ordinarily refers to records that would normally be public, but that a judge has ruled cannot be released without the court’s permission. Common examples of truly “sealed” documents include records of crimes committed as a juvenile or records of adoptions. None of the claims in this message refers to records actually “sealed” in that usual sense.

In some cases, the records this screed claims are “sealed” are actually public, and open for anyone to see. Other supposedly “sealed” records are normally private documents that Obama hasn’t released — and that other presidential candidates haven’t released either.

So as with earlier versions, this is little more than an attempt to raise suspicions by asking for records that aren’t ordinarily made public, without any evidence that those records contain anything derogatory. We’ll take the claims and questions in the order they appear.

Claims #1, 2 and 4, college records. Obama’s college records are not “sealed” by a court order, as this graphic would have you believe. It would be illegal under federal law (the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974) for Occidental, Columbia or Harvard Law School to give any former student’s records to reporters or members of the public without that person’s specific, written permission. Obama hasn’t released them, but neither have other presidential candidates released their college records. George W. Bush’s grades at Yale eventually became public, but only because somebody leaked them to the New Yorker magazine. Bush himself refused to release them, according to a 1999 profile in the Washington Post.
