Republican presidential candidate and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney campaigns at Stepto's Bar-B-Q Shack in Evansville, Ind. on Saturday.
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Mitt Romney stumped with Tea Party favorite Richard Mourdock on Saturday at a barbecue shack here, seeking to link himself with the popular conservative who unseated a longtime Washington incumbent earlier this year.
“We gotta get this guy elected to the U.S. Senate,” Romney began his speech at Stepto’s Bar-B-Q Shack, a small restaurant off the main highway in Evansville.
As he praised Mourdock, the state treasurer who defeated six-term senator Dick Lugar in the state’s May Republican primary, he seemed to try to affiliate himself with the Tea Party principles Mourdock played up, like a balanced budget.
“You can’t keep spending massively more than you take in,” Romney said as he explained his five key principles for economic recovery. As the crowd drowned him out in applause, he continued, “A treasurer knows that. A governor knows that.”
“There’s only one place in America that doesn’t seem to understand that you can’t keep spending massively more than you take in every year, and that’s Washington. And one reason we’re both going there is to change Washington,” he said.
While this event was billed as a Mourdock campaign event, Romney spent just as much time slamming President Barack Obama, criticizing him for breaking his promise to keep unemployment under 8 percent.
But Mourdock took the spotlight back at the end of the event, criticizing his Democratic Senate opponent, Joe Donnelly, as Romney worked the dining room shaking hands.
“While the governor’s doing that, I have to share with all of you a thought I had coming in today, how proud I am to stand next to the president of the United States, Mitt Romney. And it’s funny, my opponent, Joe Donnelly, doesn’t want to be seen with their candidate, isn’t that amazing?”
Immediately after his short remarks, Romney headed to a fundraiser at the home of local entrepreneur Steven Chancellor, the CEO of the American Patriot Group, the parent company of several subsidiaries.

Mitt looks good campaigning with the Tea Party on the day a White Supremacist killed 7 people and injured 20 thinking they were Muslims. With Rep. Bachmann spreading hate and racism as Mitt Romney felt there was no problem with that. Well we will see more murders as we saw Sarah Palin's bulls eye target got a victim shot and innocent people killed. North Carolina KKK even sent fliers about a Cross Burning Event for Mitt Romney. We willl see much of the murders like that of the 40, 50 and 60's.
As much as many people hate the black man in the white house, it sure seems people really don't like Mitt. I'm sure that makes it tough to pick a VP. Mitt will be happy as long as he doesn't have to release the tax returns for the 10 years he paid no taxes. It helps to have the money to pay the most creative tax accountants.

The Tea-Freaks seem to want to reduce government back to a Darwinistic model, bringing down life expectancy to < 50 years; to let those who have inter generational wealth transfers become the deciders of government. Last I checked, that's called Fascism: No thanks Mitt, Grover, Karl and Brothers Koch.

What a bunch of phucking cry babies. Obomba is going to loose in Novemeber, and not by just a few points. He will loose the popular vote and the delegate vote by a wide margin.
He's lost the white non-college educated blue collar workers, and many independents have dumped His sorry ass as well. When you're the POTUS and you run around promising unicorns and leprechauns to large voting blocks, people can smell the stench of desperation.

Angry white conservative, so you want to pay higher taxes so multi-millionaires like Romney can pay NO taxes? You would rather pay more in health insurance in your golden years because the government voucher that Romney purposes only covers about a 1/4 of what your insurnace bill is. You want HIGHER unemployment because the Romney adminstration make EASIER for big corporations to off-shore manufacturing jobs. You want the working class incomes to continue to stagnate or even decrease because Romney kills Unions the only friend the working class has left?
Romney is running to make it easier for BIG Businesses to operate. He wants to do away with common sense regulations that protect the public. He wants to make his rich friends richer. He doesn't give a rat's a$$ about the working class. In fact look how he treats the working class? Look how he treated that dinner owner when his "team" trashed the place. She was a Republican! Look how his wife said "You People!" when she was asked about their tax returns. Mitt should have paid $20 million dollars more in taxes than he did, maybe even more. Do you know who had to pick up the bill, you and me, Con, you and me!
I am all for fiscal conservatism! But that is not what Mitt is offering us. He wants us little people to pay the bill for his lavish lifestyle. He claims $77,000 for upkeep of a horse, a hobby of his wife's, on his taxes and then won't even let us see what else he is claiming. Last time I checked hobbies were not tax deductible, only businesses. You do realize that $77,000 is more than most Americans earn in a year, right? He doesn't want a "free market"economy he wants a Free-for-all market for businesses. He wants corporations to do whatever they want without consequences, because that how he has lived his life, without consequences for his actions. He feels he can do anything he wants without fear of repercussions. That is not the type of person I want for a President!

The only stench I've been smelling lately is the road-kill that the tea-party folks are roasting up in the hopes of reestablishing their 1790s civic and governmental de-evolution. Smells rancid!
Amazing the polarization in this country and how stupid and election year can make everyone. We are at this point in our history because both parties have written and re written voting lines in every state where if you want to be elected you have to appeal to either the radical liberal mindset or the radical conservative mindset. Compromise for America is seen as a weakness among radicals in both parties.
Both the parties are bought and paid for by special interests and we have to chose between in our opinion not the best candidate but the lesser of 2 evils. In my opinion that is President Obama and the democrats for the fiscal reason trickle down economics has never worked, our infrastructure (electric, water, telephone) has always been built by government if not directly through subsidies, and I believe that their should be a line that seperates government and religon, as our Religous Right if given the power is no different then the Taliban.
The Tea Party simply proves inbreeding is alive and well in the United States, and that a moderate conservative like Romney (you have to be a moderate to get elected as GOV in Mass) would reach out to the devil himself to get elected.
BACHMANN FOR VP! I want to see that shot of her opening for a hotdog on campaign posters for the rest of the year. Otherwise, all we're going to get are Willard's endless lies. Wait, I have another idea - he can ride the horse Alfalfa at campaign stops, do a little fancy prancing for the teabuggers, thus introducing them to the finer things of life and illustrating how the better people in life dance around the tax laws.
