Appearing at a GOP Victory office opening in swing state North Carolina, Tim Pawlenty on Saturday compared the President Barack Obama's lofty rhetoric of hope and change to the unsatisfying byproduct of a poor-quality keg of an adult beverage.
"We got a problem because we've got a president who's all foam and no beer," declared the former Minnesota governor and top GOP VP pick.
The crowd of about 300 supporters roared.
"I don't know about you but I'm tired of hearing these teleprompter speeches and no results!" he said. "You know his big fancy speeches from four years ago; those speeches, those words don't put gas in our cars do they? And his teleprompter speeches don't pay the mortgage do they?"
Pawlenty, who hours before had talked policy details at a roundtable and given young hockey fans tips on the skating rink, was visibly energized and almost raspy-voiced as he berated the president on behalf of the presumptive GOP nominee, who remains abroad this weekend.

"We need to grow this economy and quit kicking our entrepreneurs and small business leaders like President Obama does in the shins every day," he said.
Numerous vice presidential prospects, including Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio and Gov. Bobby Jindalof Louisiana, are stumping for Romney over the coming days. Pawlenty told reporters after his Raleigh appearance that he doesn't see this weekend as an audition for the job.
"I've been out doing this sort of thing since last fall and I get a call once in a while from the campaign saying, 'hey, do you have any free time next week to go be a surrogate?' " he said. "This is consistent with that pattern so it's really no different than what I've been doing for the campaign since last fall."
He declined to speak further about the vetting process, joking that he's been busy around the house.
"I've been taking care of yard work, doing my other work, trying to deal with family matters," he said.
"And trying to get the garage cleaned up. My garage is a mess."

Nice try, Tim, but your audition time for VP wannabe has passed. You couldn't think up anything better than Obama bashing. That's getting pretty old. No programs to replace the health care act. No tax plans that make any sense. No support for bi-partisan cooperation to actually get anything done.
Hope and change got assassinated by you and Mitch McConnell when he rallied the Republican troops basically right after Obama's inauguration and said the most important thing was to make Obama a one term president. Nice way to get things done in Washington. If the big lie campaign works it will mark a major descent in American politics when obstructionist zealots stop government functioning and hold programs hostage while wealthy corporations, lobbyists and moguls pull the strings to create a government that favors the big boys.
Well it looks like Romney may have found someone unattractive enough and small-fry-who's-inconsequential who won't show me up enough to be his vice president nominee.

Romney has done nothing lately and anything positive he did he wants to avoid mentioning because it sounds democratic (hahahaha, another looser), BUT if you just listen to this looser talk you get a small sample of just how warped he is.... NO foreign policy knowledge AT ALL, an embarrassment, didn't he learn anything at Harvard (or was he too busy bullying people to pay attention to actual knowledge?) then he disses his wife big time by saying he didn't even know her horse's name (yes, the million dollar one that he got the 77K deduction for and is the apple of his wife's eye) and didn't go to the Olympics to see compete! He just went to the UK to embarrass us and insult the Brit's.... He's shown that he can't relate to anyone but other billionaires, hates the poor and unemployed (guess he wants slaves), he didn't want to be tied to anything Mexican, like his father's birthplace for instance, but thinks that any minority will want him? HAHAHAHAHAHA, not! All he wants is to give what little is left of the country to his rich friends and he wants all of us to vote for that???? Seriously?????

Who the f**k cares about what Tim Pawlenty has to say? You would think he was a successful Governor or something. Kicked out after one term, and then lasted 10 seconds as a Presidential candidate. Wow, that's gravitas for you...
I would love to see this damp squid in a debate with Obama. I would give it 2 minutes before The POTUS makes him look like the small-timer he really is. Humiliated by Romney in the primaries (and Bachmann and Gingrich and Cain), gained about 10 votes and now is going around talking like some tough-guy. I guess anyone who can throw around a cheap insult is being considered for VP. How about having some actual credibility?.

If I member correctly Mr. Pawlenty was recently in a Republican primary, pitted against the greatest collection of clowns (Republican nominees for the presidency) ever assembled in the history of the United States of America and what did he do? He quit!!! It was just too hard for the little fellow. Does anyone really think Romney would be so stupid as to select Pawlenty as his vice presidential running mate. Then again, given Romney's track record so far in this campaign, he just might be that stupid. We can only hope so.

Other than being the best Minnesota could come up with for a "governor" after Jesse Ventura, and having his 2012 bid for president shot down in flames, he seems little more than a Republican drum-beater and hack, to wit:

There is a reason that Mitt won't talk about his religion. They are nuts. I have a cousin that married into Mormonism. Her husband's father is an Elder and important enough in the LSD (intentional mis-acronym) church that they married in the Salt Lake Temple.
Our side of the family could not even attend the wedding as we were not LSD, not even her Mother and Father. When attending the reception we were treated with contempt. That was 25 years ago. I haven't spoken to my cousin since. She is too "good" for us now.
Lesson learned.
The biggest problem that Romney has is to select a loser that doesn't upstage him but that should be easy as anyone worthy of VP has declined.

Who really cares what Pawlenty thinks. He is just another spineless GOP'er who would not stick up for an American soldier who was booed by the audience at one of those comedy shows they put on last year. Just because that soldier was gay. The man was also putting his life on the line to protect Pawlenty who never even served in the military. In fact not one of those spineless candidates on the stage stood up for that soldier.
Guy, the crowd was the elite. The smart ones with the money and connections to get admission. Probably not one of their sorry asses served in the military.
