2012: Going to Colorado

The AP’s Beaumont goes to Colorado and says it’s all about suburban women. “If President Barack Obama wins this swing-voting state, and a second term as president, voters like Paula Burky will probably be the reason,” he writes. "‘He understands women,’ said Burky, a Westminster resident who last month decided to vote for Obama. Both the Democratic president and his Republican challenger, Mitt Romney, see women -- specifically suburbanites from their 30s to their 50s -- as critical to victory in Colorado as well as in other hard-fought places like Virginia and Nevada where polls also show close contests. That means this group of voters may also hold the key to winning the White House.”

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg endorsed Scott Brown because of his “opposition to the National Right-To-Carry Reciprocity Act, which would allow gun owners to carry concealed weapons across state lines,” the Boston Globe reports. Bloomberg “will hold an August fund-raiser for Brown at his Upper East Side townhouse.”

I am really concerned about North Korea 's appointment of the "dear leader", Kim Jung Ill 's youngest son to be the new leader of North
Korea-- a nuclear power!

After all, Kim Jung Un (pronounced Kim's young-un?) had NO military experience whatsoever before daddy made him a four-star general in the military. This is a snot-nosed twerp who has never accomplished anything in his life that would even come close to military leadership: he hasn't even so much as led a cub scout troop, coached a sports team or commanded a military platoon. Setting that aside, next they make him the "beloved leader" of the country. Terrific!

Oh, crap!.....I'm sorry.

I just remembered that we did the same thing here. We took a community organizer who has never worn a uniform and made him Commander-in-Chief;a guy who has never led anything more than an ACORN demonstration and made him the leader of this country. I'm sorry I brought this up.

Never mind.

Really you are going to try and bash the POTUS and CIC who made it a priority to hunt down and kill OBL and continues to hunt down and kill remaining terrorist leaders no matter where they are - sorry you can not come to grips with the fact that President Obama has a higher foreign policy rating than your candidate.

So now Steve wants to take an idiot with no military experiences, in fact he got 3 or 4 deferments because he was to chicken to serve. He worked harder at getting deferments than at anything he's done in his life. I'd guess that's where he started the lying and hasn't stopped sense.

Hay Steve, your boy Willard really did a bang up job in London yesterday didn't he. Not only did he infuriate a whole nation an ally at that, he embarrassed the United States. One day and Willard's foreign policy vacation is already a disaster.

You tea people Koch republicans are going to have to find a new line of attack. Willard just took foreign policy away from you. We know your slow Steve, but you'll catch up eventually.

I'd rather have Romney be CIC than a socialist whose actions have increased the flow of illegal immigrants rather than enforcing existing laws!

I'd rather have Romney in charge of enforcing the Constitution, than a socialist who in his own words thinks the document is outdated!

I'd rather have a fiscal conservative like Romney managing the economy, than an ultra liberal who has increased our debt over $6 trillion!

It's no contest.... we must end the mistake of the 2008 election! Before it is too late!

Rub of the Green

More illegal immigrants have been deported in three years during the Obama administration then were deported in eight years under Bush.

We were faced with financial collapse in 2008, thanks to Republican policies, and Obama's stimulus plan pulled us back from that brink. He offered a bargain of spending cuts in exchange for a tax increase on the wealthiest citizens, who never paid their share for the two wars Bush started, and the Republican House choose to increase the debt instead.

But don't let facts get in the way of your smear campaign.

It's simple math Amy. More in.............more out. Get it now? And besides, they changed the way they "count" deportations to increase the numbers. Self deportations now count for one.

Clearly Steve and Rub got the idiot memo today - you know, the one where the right wingers try to outdo each other on who can post the most idiotic nonsense for the day. Right now they're neck and neck.

It's so sad that these people have no more sense than to post their idiocy for all to see. AND they support an empty suit like Romney. Wow! That's a lose-lose position all the way around!

Barry Kardashian---Below is what the president actually said. You will notice that numerous times he says we are in this together---he speaks of the American system and of teachers and he also credits the business owner. " The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together"

And you know what else---when the lower classes thrive the entire nation thrives, when only the rich thrive---only the rich thrive and everyone else sinks. Look at the last 30 years and you will see this is true.

There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me -- because they want to give something back. They know they didn’t -- look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something -- there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there.

If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business -- you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.

The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together. There are some things, just like fighting fires, we don’t do on our own. I mean, imagine if everybody had their own fire service. That would be a hard way to organize fighting fires.

So we say to ourselves, ever since the founding of this country, you know what, there are some things we do better together. That’s how we funded the GI Bill. That’s how we created the middle class. That’s how we built the Golden Gate Bridge or the Hoover Dam. That’s how we invented the Internet. That’s how we sent a man to the moon. We rise or fall together as one nation and as one people, and that’s the reason I’m running for President -- because I still believe in that idea. You’re not on your own, we’re in this together.

Like Massachusetts voters care which of their candidates the Mayor of New York supports.

The real reason Bloomberg endorsed Brown is because Elizabeth Warner threatens his rich buddies in the New York financial establishment. After all, she is for transparency and accountability on Wall Street.

I wouldn't even say it's the "rich buddies." The problem with NYC as with London is that their economies are hopelessly tied to the financial industry. They are the Detroits of the banks. London at least has the Queen as a back up.

And Bloomberg should be arrested for his comments about the Colorado killings! He actually suggested the police go on strike in protest for stricter gun control laws... a federal crime actually....! He did retract that statement, but can you imagine the firestorm in the old liberal media, had a Republican said the same thing? lol

A Democrat before seeking elective office, Bloomberg switched his registration in 2001 and ran for mayor as a Republican, winning the election that year and a second term in 2005. Bloomberg left the Republican Party over policy and philosophical disagreements with national party leadership in 2007 and ran for his third term in 2009 as an independent candidate on the Republican ballot line.

I am absolutely stunned by Romney's comments that he doesn't understand his wife's Olympic sport.

Even worse, he doesn't even know what day her horse is going for Olympic Gold.

That does not sit well with me. He's either lying about his knowledge or he's a husband who believes you through money at a relationship and do what you want.

I agree with you - it is not like she is going shopping or going to the spa and someone asked him so what is your wife buying or doing at the spa? They have a million dollar horse "INVESTMENT" competiting in the Olympics - He is lying through his teeth. He just doesn't want to be connected in anyway to the horse "MONEY", because it will make him look even more out of touch with Mr. and Mrs. blue collar America.

If I had answered the same question the way he did, I know my wife would make me sleep out in the barn with the horse - Good Luck and sleep tight Mitt!

Debbie, I agree. I found Romney's comment about his wife's passion for horse dressage, extremely condesending. Just she get a million dollars of "play money" every year, that he doesn't ask how she spends? They sound like a couple from the 1950's, which we all know was not a great time to be the "little wife-y."

        Daily Presidential Tracking Poll

        July 27, 2012

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Mitt Romney attracting 49% of the vote, while President Obama earns support from 44%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided.

The numbers are similar to the 49% to 43% advantage Romney enjoys on the question of who is trusted more to handle the economy.

Seventy percent (70%) of voters see Obama as politically liberal, while 67% see Romney as a conservative. However, the president is seen as more extreme ideologically. Forty-three percent (43%) see him as Very Liberal, while just 24% believe Romney is Very Conservative. Most voters are either politically Moderate or Somewhat Conservative. Sixty-two percent (62%) place Romney in that group while just 25% say the same for Obama.
