Mitt has a detailed foreign policy agenda -

in summary: he will outsource more jobs overseas, will move investment outside to produce more blood diamonds in sweat shops, then save his obscene profits in tax havens like the Bermuda and Cayman Islands.

Before folks take off for Happy Hour, the damage crazies like Michele Bachmann inflict upon our foreign policy, and even national security is important to address. Not to mention embarrassment to our nation around the world when officials, elected leaders spew McCarthy type conspiracies.

Boehner publicly condemned this behavior as "dangerous" in line with McCain, a former POW who knows well the implications of such Hate Speech. And then you know what Michele Bachmann did? She went right back at it the next day on the air with Glenn Beck.

Many of you may have heard about a state congresswoman who was recently censured for saying the word "vagina" in her speech about women's reproductive rights. What does it take to have Michele Bachmann (and others like Alan Keyes) censured?

Come on Boehner! Since little Ms. Batcrap is still repeating Frank Gaffney's Muslim-hating lies, where, when and how will you ever draw a line? Folks should demand that Bachmann be removed from the Intelligence Committee. Now that she persists with this McCarthyism even after your comments, Boehner you must take serious action.

Yeh, right. Boehner will make his little speech to the press, but in reality he and others in the Teapublican Party love that Bachmann gins up the base. When the motorcade of our Secretary of State is attacked, and relations with the people of Egypt are affected, it's sill not enough for you jagoffs, is it?!

Romney heads overseas (next week)?

He has to inspect his investment overseas that has outsourced American jobs, ....... he has to visit his foreign sweatshops, move more money to foreign tax havens.

Mitt the Vulture is busy with his vulturing activities.

There were death threats to critics who panned Batman. A movie! Half this country thinks everything can be solved by threats, guns, bombing.

And btw, fact that "serious" critics treat a @!$%#ing Batman movie as a profound comment on the human condition says a lot about our "culture"

Amazing Grace, how sweet
the sound,

That saved a wretch like me.

I once was lost but now am found,

Was blind, but now I see.

T'was Grace that taught
my heart to fear.

And Grace, my fears relieved.

How precious did that Grace appear

The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers,
toils and snares

I have already come;

'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far

and Grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised
good to me.

His word my hope secures.

He will my shield and portion be,

As long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,

And mortal life shall cease,

I shall possess within the veil,

A life of joy and peace.

When we've been here ten
thousand years

Bright shining as the sun.

We've no less days to sing God's praise

Than when we've first begun.

Amazing Grace, how sweet
the sound,

That saved a wretch like me.

I once was lost but now am found,

Was blind, but now I see.

Tragedy both Personal

comes with living this week

So if it’s all the same
to you’ll I’ll just set here on the front Porch of the Dew Drop Inn and have a
Good Thought about all the fine Men and Women that has been my pleasure to know
in my long life and shed a little tear for the Ones that I won’t now ever have
the chance to meet and lift a glass with. Go with God good folks and to h*ll
with the Bad Spirits and Demon’s among us.

As always my thanks and appreciation to our hosts for their
time, giving me a little place to stand, a subject to comment on, a forum to
put it in, and their indulgence when I don’t quite get it right or get a little
off subject. I purely do appreciate it. Hope you’ll have a fine weekend and
good fun among folks that you know and love. To my fellow participants keep
well, keep safe, and keep the faith. We’ll make it. See you’ll next week

I'm with you, IR, my heart just isn't in this today.

What oh what have we learned? Nothing. People who should not have guns have them and that is not going to change anytime soon. The NRA is too powerful, the politicians too cowardly, and so people die.

In a movie theater.

For what?

Got me.

There really is nothing left to say. I was going to write a brilliant excoriating post about Michelle Bachman and her continuing effort to morph into Joseph McCarthy since she attacked fellow Minnesotan Keith Ellison, accusing him of some underhanded connections, because he is GASP! MUSLIM, but you know what? You people that vote for her are too stupid to get any satirical post I might write. Suffice to say that Minnesota has a proud history with some of the best statesmen to serve the nation. Hubert Humphrey, Walter Mondale, Arnie Carlson, and Paul Wellstone. You, Michelle, aren't fit to clean their shoes.

I will say this to you Michelle, since it is long past time for decent people to stand up and be counted. "Here am I, accuse me!" I hope people join me in saying this to her since we need to make those who vote for her ashamed of the vote they cast.

We will sing the old songs at the Dew Drop Inn tonight to honor those killed and wounded in that attack. We pray for the victims, the families and for people to regain their sense.

My thanks to my hosts, go Peacocks, make us proud.

See you next week, a little sadder for all the loss.

The NRA's time is coming. People are sick of being terrorized by that group of thugs, and they are going to start to lose power and prestige. It will happen sooner if politicians develop a spine.

They are RESPONSIBLE for deaths in this nation due to their stupidity and intransigence.

This has been a week of mourning, from a dear old friend who left way to soon, to those who lost their lives involved in the simple innocent act of going to the movies.

I didn't know those victims who died last night but I feel the pain their loss must be to their families. Just as I feel the pain for the loss of my friend of over 40 yrs, the sudden wrenching leaves one pained and helpless. Life is very precious, very fragile and we must treasure the moments we share.

I'm on my way to the DDI, to talk with good friends who may be able to help me make sense of why one person, can plot and plan to kill so many people and along the way not feel one second of remorse or regret that this was/is wrong.

We as a nation have much soul searching to do, as to why we continually send men and women who are supposed to be our leaders and really are such cowards in the face of what needs to be done to rid the country of these scourges.

I'm not going to take this opportunity to rail against lax gun laws. The political war over gun laws has already been fought, and the gun nuts won. It's over. Shootings like the one in CO are just the price we, as a society, have to pay because of this victory. I don't like it but it is the bed you made, America, now lay in it. Just remember that this is what happens when we lose to the Right wingers and try like Hell to not lose to them again.

I will take this opportunity, however, to say that we clearly need some serious upgrades in our mental health infrastructure. Ignoring the crazies doesn't seem to be working.

I am trying to understand the logic of your post.

You carry a gun where ever you go because we need more jobs, and because of the price of gas and food ? and you want the government to fix these three things?

so if the unemployment rate goes down, gas prices go down and food prices go down you will not carry a gun?

new "airhead" day,

YOU were the one that started this conversation over gun control Instead of expressing your grief over the loss of life in Colorado, you instead chose to inject your senseless opinion regarding gun control. Next time try to show some compassion instead of ignorance.

Feisty the lightweight...

In case you have trouble reading, my nick is JK1963. I'm surprised that you are not more literate.

..."guns don't kill people, people kill people". That's what started this conversation. In JK's little world, he considers a bumper sticker saying to be GREAT THOUGHT the equal of anything that is written by Feisty or by me.

Poor JK, so limited in intellect is unable to discern why people like me laugh at the mental midgets who call that logic.

"People kill people." Reason tells us that if people pointed their fingers and said "bang" there just aren't going to be that many deaths. I should think that NO ONE would die, would you not agree JK?

No. It takes guns. Lots and lots of guns, with lots and lots of ammunition. Guns that can rapid fire and kill innocents. So JK ( I am not allowed to say moron, but I can think it) guns, do indeed kill people.

There used to be an assault gun ban, but the politicians caved into the thugs at the NRA and it was a causality. So, many people died, one a six year old girl, all because of the thugs at the NRA. Good for them. I'm sure they are very proud.

And next we hear from our ( cannot say mental midget, but can think it) friend JK that discussing the CAUSE of the disaster denotes a lack of compassion. This is the NRA line, they think that if they can bully people out of discussion, Americans will be distracted by the next bright shiny thing, and talk of the CAUSE of this disaster will never happen. Works for them too. They bully people until they are gagged and bound out of their First Amendment rights to free speech. No one is allowed to suggest that the NRA has blood on its ugly logo. That is not compassionate or meet.

Bullcrap.

What other disaster is there where we don't immediately say "what happened" and a team of Feds does not head out of answer that question, no matter where the trail leads? Air disasters? The WTC bombing? Were people told that "we won't talk about cause, because it is not compassionate?" NO. We said we will find out, and we will try to prevent it in the future.

The exception? Gun disasters. We will use euphemisms, "guns don't kill people..." and we will cower from the RAGE of the NRA when it is pointed out that there are people in this world that should not have a gun.

There are two problems that need to be addressed in this current disaster. First, why did this idiot need so many guns and when are we at long last going to grow a spine and deal with the NRA?

And second: is this the result of an undiagnosed mental illness that should have been dealt with? You can all thank Regan for gutting mental health community services and making it harder for families to get help.

But, jk let me say this again, because it seems like you have a little trouble comprehending the written word. I will think and write what I want. That it disturbs and upsets you delights me. I can see you ruminating about this, and trying to find a way to win. You won't. You aren't that bright.

But as for your opinion on calling this disaster what it is? Let me say it again:

I just don't give a damn.

#2.30 - Sun Jul 22, 2012 8:54 AM EDT

newday,

Nothing you say upsets me. It is disturbing that people like you can function in society with so little intellect. But be that as it may...if this person in Colorado had used a bomb instead of a gun, you would be saying something totally different and of course totally senseless and wanting to blame others instead of the person that committed this cowardly act. The fact that a gun is used in this instance makes you salivate and want to push your views on people that don't share you limited viewpoint, but God forbid you never want to blame those that actually committed that crime.

And just so you know...YOU are the one that started this diatribe with...

"What oh what have we learned? Nothing. People who should not have guns have them and that is not going to change anytime soon. The NRA is too powerful, the politicians too cowardly, and so people die." (I added that emphasis in case it was lost on you that YOU actually started this discussion of the NRA).

From today's MSNBC article Obama campaign raises $46M in June; Romney takes in $33M:

"The Obama team spent over $58 million in June, though, with one of the largest expenses being television ads bolstering the president and criticizing Romney over his private sector career and scant release of tax records.

Likewise, the largest single expense for the Romney campaign was its advertising efforts. The campaign disclosed having spent $10.4 million dollars on so-called "placed media," FEC-speak for television and radio ad buys."

And from CBS/NY Times today:

Romney and Obama in Statistical Tie in NY Times/CBS Poll

By Don Frederick on July 19, 2012

Voter disapproval of President Barack Obama's handling of the economy is hurting his re-election prospects and improving the outlook for Republican challenger Mitt Romney, a New York Times/CBS News national poll shows.

Romney is backed by 47 percent and Obama by 46 percent in the survey, released yesterday. The numbers include voters who said they leaned toward one of the candidates. Excluding those voters, Romney led Obama, 45 percent to 43 percent.

The results, while within the poll's margin of error of plus or minus three percentage points, represents the first time Romney has had an edge in the Times/CBS survey since he emerged as the presumptive Republican nominee in early April.

To me, this is great news! Obama's campaign is bleeding money and he can't keep up with Romney!!

President Romney 2012! Lean into it!!!

Reince Priebus, the chairman of the Republican National Committee, announced today at a gathering of high profile Republicans and Wall Street executives that the GOP is formally divorcing reality on grounds of irreconcilable differences.

Priebus explained, “This was a difficult decision, we’ve been married to reality for over 150 years but we’ve just grown apart. We rarely go out together nowadays and we never seem to be able to agree on anything anymore. We’re constantly at odds over little things, over big things and frankly, I think we’ve just outgrown reality.”

Among the many reasons given for this split up, Priebus admitted that there was jealousy on the GOP’s part over Progressives’ familiarity with reality. “We believe in the sanctity of marriage which is why we are filing for this divorce,” Priebus stated with a straight face.

“Since the Nixon years, things just started to go downhill in our relationship. It had gotten to the point that whenever we spoke on talk shows, aired campaign ads or gave stump speeches, reality would get into a conflict of some kind with us. I mean, you just can’t go on like that indefinitely,” said Priebus. “When we were younger, it was easier and though we’d have our little disagreements, for the most part we got along. People sometimes change over time, we’re not who we were and we found that we were just becoming incompatible.”

Asked about what the final straws were that drove the GOP to this divorce, Priebus mentioned that reality wouldn’t be polite to their friends. “We’d have Paul Ryan and his budget over for dinner and reality would act as if it was an imposition. Recently we had been invited to attend a big fundraiser for Mitt Romney and when Romney spoke, there was an empty seat next to me, reality wasn’t anywhere to be found in the room.”

“When we’d talk about where we wanted to go, like to the White House and The Senate, we could never agree on how to get there,” Priebus complained. “When you’re in a marriage, you need to know that the other is right behind you, supporting you no matter what. Yet for years now, whenever we’d go on Fox News or talk about economics, reality wouldn’t be there for us.”

Priebus was remarkably candid about the relationship. “There hasn’t been any real intimacy between us for years, the passion for reality just isn’t there any more for us. Look, we haven’t been saints, we’ve gotten into bed with deception before the divorce but by then, the marriage was already over. The thing is, reality just didn’t understand us. Deception knew exactly where we were coming from, for us it was like finally meeting our soul mate.”

The GOP and deception have been together since the GOP’s separation from reality and Priebus claims that the GOP has never been happier. “Everything’s easier now, we can express ourselves dishonestly and be on the same page, we never argue or have any conflicts, things just feel right now,” Priebus beamed.

“Of course, there’s the custody issue we’ll have to deal with now, who will get the American public. We know that typically, reality would be awarded custody but we’re going to fight tooth and nail to get sole custody. We’ve hired Karl Rove and the Koch Brothers to argue the case for us and with the support of deception, we feel very confident that we could prevail.”

Priebus said that the GOP doesn’t harbor any grudges against reality. “We wish reality all the best in the future and even though we will never be together again, we will never forget the many good times we had together. However, where we’re at now is looking to the future and appreciating the relationship we’re in now with deception. In fact, we hadn’t planned to announce this publicly yet but we have already become married to deception!”

The issue of bigamy was discounted by Priebus, “We may have been cheating on reality but in our minds, we’ve been divorced from reality for some time and whether that is formally recognized or not, it is the truth. So our being married to deception isn’t a betrayal of reality because we’re no longer connected to reality.”

Reality was asked to comment on the divorce and simply replied, “Que sera, sera.” In response to being asked how it felt about having stolen the heart of the GOP away from reality, deception replied, “I didn’t, really. It was Obama’s fault.”

The GOP and deception are now happily married and living together in what deception describes as “a golden castle in the clouds where money rains down from the sky and everyone is happy and healthy…and all Americans can move there if they just vote for Romney.”

You and JK seem to be birds of a feather. That's OK, you make a cute couple. I hope you two butt buddies have a great weekend together.

"the NBC softball team goes for an unprecedented fifth straight DC media league softball championship."

Very impressive, congratulations and good luck...

If you do win the title never forget, in the words of our President, "you didnt do it". It was the roads and bridges, and the Almighty Nanny State that must be given the credit. So cut your trophy in half, and give it to the Department of Roads and Bridges..

My politics may be right, but I bat left and play left field, if you need a recruit...

Resume: Coached my underdog team to the playoff title last fall by knocking in the winning run in extra innings...

Romney on foreign policy - "If they provide a tax shelter, they are a friendly nation."

"The Soviet Union is a clear and present danger. Mr. Putin, tear down that wall!"

How many solar companies will go out of business before Nov. 2012. We know where the money went.. Obomber got it Libturds.. wake up That's deception Liberals.

I'll trust Romney anyday over Obomber. We have had 4 years of lies, deception, corruption from this liar thug from Chicago who is in way over his head.

Romney is the only smart choice in Nov. 2012.

Obomber took in 46 million in June and spends 58 million. Obama will now tell America how he is balancing the buget.. He doesn't know how. It's OPM so he doesn't care.

Obama and the dems are in desperation mode. Sit back and enjoy the downfall..
