A Mirage

A mirage is something that appears to be real at a distance. Often the vision is something the viewer wishes dearly to be true. The image brought to mind is a man desperately wandering in the desert, his lips parched from thirst, skin burnt from the sun. He looks ahead and sees the heat rising from the desert. Off in the distant, he sees the reflection from a pool of fresh water. He cries out water, water, I’m saved. Being filled with hope, he gathers his strength and starts running, slowly at first towards the water. As he approaches the mirage, the image of cool refreshing water fades to nothing. In horror, the man has learned the truth, that the water was never there. He has wasted the last reserves of energy, sits by the bank of the mirage and dies.

This country having moral and financial strength is a mirage. This week, August 5^th , 2011 the financial rating of America was downgraded by Standard and Poor’s. The progressives are attacking the messenger, saying their calculations must be incorrect. The all knowing, all caring Progressives and “RINO’s” can never accept that we are going bankrupt. Legitimate Question

This election has me very worried. So many things to consider. I voted for Obama. McCain was a Washington insider and we don't need any more of them. I have changed my mind three times, since then. I watch all the news channels, jumping from one to another. I must say this drives my husband crazy. But, I feel if you view CNN, and Fox News, you might get some middle ground to work with. I started thinking "where does all the money come from for President Obama"? I have four daughters who went to College, and we were middle class, and money was tight. We (including my girls) worked hard and there were lots of student loans. I started looking into Obama's history for my own peace of mind.

Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California . He is very open about his two years at Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies. "Barry" (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan . During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a "round the world" trip. Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia , next Hyderabad in India , three weeks in Karachi , Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate's family, then off to Africa to visit his father's family.

My question - Where did he get the money for this trip? Nether I, nor any one of my children would have had money for a trip like this when they were in college. When he came back he started school at Columbia University in New York . It is at this time he wants everyone to call him Barack - not Barry. Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia ? It's not cheap to say the least.

My girls asked me; where did he get money for tuition? Student Loans? Maybe it's none of my business?

After Columbia , he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000. a year. Why Chicago ? Why not New York ? He was already living in New York . By "chance" he met Antoin "Tony" Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria , and a real estate developer in Chicago . Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery several times in the past and in 2011.

Rezko, was named "Entrepreneur of the Decade" by the Arab-American Business and Professional Association". About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School . Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School ?

Where did he get the money for Law School ? More student loans? His family has no money that's for sure.

After Law school, he went back to Chicago . Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down. But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what I discovered? They represented "Rezar" which is Rezko's firm.

Rezko was one of Obama's first major financial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago . In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was instrumental in providing Obama with "seed money" for his U.S. Senate race.

In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwood District of Chicago for $1.65 million (less than asking price). With A LL those Student Loans - Where did he get the money for this property? On the same day Rezko's wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama's new home was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.

Now, we have Obama running for President. Valerie J arrett, was Michele Obama's boss. She is now Obama's chief advisor and he does not make any major decisions without talking to her first. Where was J arrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz , Iran ! Am I going nuts or is there a pattern here?

On May 10, 2008, The Times reported, Rob ert Malley advisor to Obama was "sacked" after the press found out he was having regular contacts with "Hamas", which controls Gaza and is connected with Iran . Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that were born in Pakistan ? They are in charge of all those "small" Internet campaign contribution for Obama. Where is that money coming from? The poor and middle class in this country? Or could it be from the Middle East ?

And the final bit of news. On September 7, 2009, The Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos. Obama on talking about his religion said, "My Muslim faith". When questioned, "he made a mistake". Some mistake huh?

In a very real way, he has been a young man in a very big hurry. Who else do you know has written two memoirs before the age of 45? "Dreams of My Father" was published in 1995 when he was only 34 years old. The "Audacity of Hope" followed in 2006. If, indeed, he did write them himself. There are some who think that his mentor and friend, Bill Ayers, a man who calls himself a "communist with a small 'c'" was the real author.

His political skills consisted of rarely voting on anything that might be deemed controversial. He went from a legislator in the Illinois legislature to the Senator from that state because he had the good fortune of having Mayor Daley's formidable political machine at his disposal.

He was in the U.S. Senate so briefly that his bid for the presidency was either an act of astonishing self-confidence or part of some greater game plan that had been determined before he first stepped foot in the Capital. How, many must wonder, was he selected to be a 2004 keynote speaker at the Democrat convention that nominated John Kerry when virtually no one had ever even heard of him before?

He outmaneuvered Hillary Clinton in primaries. He took Iowa by storm. A charming young man, an anomaly in the state with a very small black population, he oozed "cool" in a place where agriculture was the antithesis of cool. He dazzled the locals. And he had an army of volunteers drawn to a charisma that hid any real substance.

And then he had the great good fortune of having the Republicans select one of the most inept candidates for the presidency since Bob Dole. And then John McCain did something crazy. He picked Sarah Palin, an unknown female governor from the very distant state of Alaska . It was a ticket that was reminiscent of 1984's Walter Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro and they went down to defeat.

The mainstream political media fell in love with him. It was a schoolgirl crush with febrile commentators like Chris Mathews swooning then and now over the man. The venom directed against McCain and, in particular, Palin, was extraordinary.

Now, 3 full years into his presidency, all of those gilded years leading up to the White House have left him unprepared to be President. Left to his own instincts, he has a talent for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. It swiftly became a joke that he could not deliver even the briefest of statements without the ever-present Tele-Prompters.

Far worse, however, is his capacity to want to "wish away" some terrible realities, not the least of which is the Islamist intention to destroy America and enslave the West. Any student of history knows how swiftly Islam initially spread. It knocked on the doors of Europe, having gained a foothold in Spain .

The great crowds that greeted him at home or on his campaign "world tour" were no substitute for having even the slightest grasp of history and the reality of a world filled with really bad people with really bad intentions.

Oddly and perhaps even inevitably, his political experience, a cakewalk, has positioned him to destroy the Democrat Party's hold on power in Congress because in the end it was never about the Party. It was always about his communist ideology, learned at an early age from family, mentors, college professors, and extreme leftist friends and colleagues.

Obama is a man who could deliver a snap judgment about a Boston police officer who arrested an "obstreperous" Harvard professor-friend, but would warn Americans against "jumping to conclusions" about a mass murderer at Fort Hood who shouted "Allahu Akbar." The absurdity of that was lost on no one. He has since compounded this by calling the Christmas bomber "an isolated extremist" only to have to admit a day or two later that he was part of an al Qaeda plot.

He is a man who could strive to close down our detention facility at Guantanamo even though those released were known to have returned to the battlefield against America . He could even instruct his Attorney General to afford the perpetrator of 9/11 a civil trial when no one else would ever even consider such an obscenity. And he is a man who could wait three days before having anything to say about the perpetrator of yet another terrorist attack on Americans and then have to elaborate on his remarks the following day because his first statement was so lame.

The pattern repeats itself. He either blames any problem on the Bush administration or he naively seeks to wish away the truth.

Knock, knock. Anyone home? Anyone there? Barack Obama exists only as the sock puppet of his handlers, of the people who have maneuvered and manufactured this pathetic individual's life.

When anyone else would quickly and easily produce a birth certificate, this man spent over a million dollars to deny access to his. Most other documents, the paper trail we all leave in our wake, have been sequestered from review. He has lived a make-believe life whose true facts remain hidden.

The AP came out with an article showing that people that are 65 and older are now starting to lose their homes to foreclosure. Expenses go up and benefits go down. The Obama way of life. Soon Fannie Mae will own all of the property in the country. After all they are holding most of the foreclosed homes in stock pile right now. Not only are Obama's foreign policies dangerous to Israel, the Democratic party's strategy for "energizing" its base is putting Jewish Americans in a precarious and dangerous situation!

Hopefully, history has taught us, the Jewish people to beware if we find ourselves in a country beset by angry rhetoric. These forces of hatred against the merchant class (and by extension, to the "Jews") have, of course, already been in place for a long time, both on the right and on the left. What is unique now is that President Obama is now artificially stoking the fires of that hatred in order to marshall them as part of a strategy for the solidification of his power. These are dangerous times. The only safe course for the Jews is to work for a diffusion of that anger, and that means to enthusiastically support the side that stands for stability, and to unequivocally condemn the forces that promote the unprecedented anger.

Furthermore, that Mitt Romney should be demonized by the President and the Democrats for basically having been successful in business and for not showing more than the required number of tax returns, and that this is being uncritically accepted by a significant number of Americans is a matter for serious concern by any Jewish person who gives it any intelligent thought.

Of the two choices available in this heavily polarized climate, I'll take the one that stands on the side of the businessperson, the side that believes in American free enterprise which made possible for us to thrive in what earlier generations of Jewish immigrants called "der goldene medina" -- the Golden Land. While many of our Jewish ancestors became Democrats because back then it was the more tolerant of the two parties, if those same people were arriving at our shores today with the intention of pursuing the American dream, they would urge you to vote for Mitt Romney.

Obama's concern over Israeli safety is a joke. Israel has no greater enemy that B. Hussein Obama. Furthermore, Obama's primary concern regarding the tragic murders in Colorado are how he can spin the incident into something vaguely resembling a legitimate attack on the Constitution of the United States of America. If Obama can find some way to diminish our rights under the Second Amendment, he will. If his Supreme Court Appointees can back him, they will. Supporting justice and upholding the U.S. Constitution are not part of their evil deal with Obama. The new justices have proven the Constitution and honesty come in second place behind polictics under their pact with Obama. Shame on you. One day, God will judge every person who knowingly participates in handing down unrighteous verdicts and proclamations from the bench. If Obama's crooked Supreme Court Justices can't fool Americans, how dare they try to make a fool of our Creator?

The one thing I wish all the Romney bashers would do is research the man a little instead of hating him because of the letter R next to his name or the fact that he is rich and successful. How does a man who is supposedly SO despicable donate as much money to charities and efforts to help the needy? Just because he doesn't run around the country bragging about what he does for others ( a little humility used to be an honorable trait ), a lot of people assume that he is a rich guy that doesn't care about anything but screwing the little guy, and by ALL accounts, that's just not true. If you don't like his policies then don't vote for him, but stop spreading the lies. It just makes you sound like whiny, petty, punks that are just jealous of someone elses success.
