New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will deliver the keynote address at next month's Republican National Convention in Tampa, FL.
NBC News' Jamie Gangel reported Wednesday that Christie would be afforded the plum speaking slot at the convention, a gig that sometimes serves as a launching pad for political figures with ambitions of higher office.
The selection of Christie, though, would seem to suggest that Christie is not likely the choice by Mitt Romney to serve as the GOP's vice presidential nominee. Typically, the keynote speaker is separate from the vice presidential nominee, who, like the presidential nominee, speaks on separate nights.
Republicans have not yet released a detailed itinerary of the speaking schedule for their convention.

Here we go... another forum for the liberals to dis another republican. The fat boy doughnut eating jokes must only be a moment away. Time to scroll down for a glimpse at the wonderful world of liberal snarkey comments.
The plum speaking slot. LOL
Christi needs more than a plum
Brianb- and we get to see an empty, nothing comment as the first one. Wow. But, not unusual for you - nothing to say but you'll say it anyway!
............actually, we don't have to BrianB, you already did it.
But back to the matter at hand.
Christie would not have been a useful candidate for Romney. Romney is deciding on Ohio or Virginia as the state he needs most and will choose the candidate form that state once a decision has been made; provided he and his staff are capable of making a decision of such magnitude without being able to Etch-A-Sketch it away later.
You're right Brian! The company I work for is going to do some of the set up work for the convention I'm glad I don't have to go. Although I could get a "TON" of overtime reinforcing the stage!! LOLOLOL!!!
I will still be voting to "retroactively retire" Romney.
Obama 2012
This guys so fat, he leaves footprints in the concrete.
It has been confirmed that David Axelrod is using the screen name Feisty Redhead on NBCNEWS.COM
he is such an a$$ !!!!
reminds me of limpball
Is it true that Christie has his own area code?
Just asking..
Funny, Brian, but you were the one who said it. Nice plan..lol.
And you know, this isn't about his size. Could anyone who feels the need to insult him based on that please attempt to grow up?
Not if you don't like how he bullies people or his policies or how he does his job, that is fair game. But picking on people's size is really juvenile and makes the person doing it look worse than the person they are bullying.
Brianb -
Sorry to disappoint you, but this liberal actually thinks keynote speaker is a good role for Christie and Christie is a good pick. He'll probably be pretty good at waking the crowd from their Pawlenty/Portman/Jindal-induced slumbers and making them look like they're actually semi-enthusiastic about Romney as the nominee.
Though he'll have a tough act to live up to. Best keynote speech ever was still back in 2004:
"It is that fundamental belief -- It is that fundamental belief: I am my brother’s keeper. I am my sister’s keeper that makes this country work. It’s what allows us to pursue our individual dreams and yet still come together as one American family.
E pluribus unum: "Out of many, one."
Now even as we speak, there are those who are preparing to divide us -- the spin masters, the negative ad peddlers who embrace the politics of "anything goes." Well, I say to them tonight, there is not a liberal America and a conservative America -- there is the United States of America. There is not a Black America and a White America and Latino America and Asian America -- there’s the United States of America.
The pundits, the pundits like to slice-and-dice our country into red states and blue states; red states for Republicans, blue states for Democrats. But I’ve got news for them, too. We worship an "awesome God" in the blue states, and we don’t like federal agents poking around in our libraries in the red states. We coach Little League in the blue states and yes, we’ve got some gay friends in the red states. There are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq and there are patriots who supported the war in Iraq. We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America.
In the end -- In the end -- In the end, that’s what this election is about. Do we participate in a politics of cynicism or do we participate in a politics of hope?"
Just a guess here, but I'm betting Christie opts for the cynicism version. And given his audience, it'll probably work.....
I think it's a good choice. Christie has publicly said the Republicans need to focus on economics and not social issues, and I think he's right. Hopefully this signals a bit of a shift away from the "moral majority" minority that has had way too much influence the last decade (IMO).
Dang your the one who said it first. Geez
Is it true that when Christie takes a shower, his feet don't get wet?
Just asking..
Obama won't release his school records. He is hiding something. It's most likely what he listed as his place of birth. I'm guessing he put Kenya. I'm not a birther but I suspect he put Keyna to get more grants or a more favorable admission criteria.
This of course would be fraud and is why he is hiding his records.
His wife while also in college is known to have written an anti-American thesis (more like a screed) on par with the filth that would come out of the mouth of Rev. Jeremiah Wright who they later worshipped and worshipped with for decades That's another thing the Obama's will never release.
That thesis or his fraudulent college appplication alone would sink his re-election.
Well knowing how the liberal reacts to such stories evoking the name of anyone they hate... and there are many, it is no surprise that the above posts all fall in line with the so called compassionate liberal. Liberals care more about beetroots than they do about other humans... Yes, even conservatives are humans but the liberal has no notion of ever respecting one.
Don't be dismayed... conservatives have the liberal mindset down pat... we know your reactions about us even before you speak/write them. Insults towards anyone who disagrees with your feel good, emotional ideology are what make you happy.
Brianb- Is this the same Christie that has a bumper-sticker that says "honk if you have groceries"?
But seriously- if you're going to worry about what other posters are going to 'snark' about, how about you open with 'teleprompter' or 'Kenya' or 'commie' or something so we can 'know your reactions about someone before you speak/write them' ???
Why don't they just make Christie the V.P., and him and Romney mop the floor with Obama and Biden already!
they are testing the wasters with Christie, if he goes over, they may offer him the VP, slot, the religious right is pushing for Jindal; while at Oxford he wrote a paper on how, God gave him powers to drive the devil out of peoples soul, he said he touches those possessed by the devil, and he can see the devil fly out of their body(WEIRD STUFF GOING ON).
Will he be flying in on a helicopter?
Let's see a weight problem (Christie) or a solid record of incompetency (Obama)....lol!!!
DBO - I don't need to use those buzzwords.... they are all too frequently used by too many people already. I don't have to continually bash Obama... he does a good enough job of making himself look bad. But liberals have a whole field of republicans they can put down on a daily basis... so it's probably good therapy for them to come here so they don't go home and beat the cat or kick the wife/husband.
Actually, my first thought was to comment about what Christie would say and I don't mean, "Super size me!" But, seriously what is he going to say that we haven't already heard from the Republicants/Tea Putzes/Conservatives that we already haven't heard from them since November of 2008? I can hear him already. "Obama is a Muslim." "Obama was born in Kenya." "Repeal Obamacare." "Obama is socialist." "Obama has failed to lead." "Where's the hope and change?" "Romney is the man!" "Romney is a Conservative, not in the middle." "Romney is experienced." But the one thing they won't compare Romney to is the previous Republican/Conservative president, Dubya. Sure they're going to blame Obama for everything bad/wrong since the dawn of time but the Republicans share greatly in the disastrous past record that lead to the economic collapse and the financial horse hockey that continues to this day. You can choose to listen to Christie and/or FOX News or you can do your own research and realize that Romney is IDENTICAL to Dubya. More of the same just a different stupid grin.
So sad you Baggers weren't able to put this guy up instead of that twitchy, sweaty cardboard cutout of Tricky Dick inhaling Bob Dole's ashes. Oops - as a smart guy, Christie knows better than to waste his time this time around.
I predict a Christie - Biden contest in '16. Yep, that's the ticket!
Hee hee - an open-mouthed grin, to be sure!
This is Christie's opportunity to put his brand of Republicanism on the national stage for the first time. If he does well, he'll be able to run in 2016. If he falls flat, he won't get enough support for a WH run. Politics is all about risk.
By 2016, the Tea Party fanaticism will (hopefully) have burned out of the party. Most Republicans know that they can't govern if their only reaction to everything is to say NO. The extremists have already caused a partial downgrade to the US credit rating and will likely be the cause of the next recession. If not this election, hopefully in the mid-terms all of the real TeaNuts will be removed from office.
Christie is so fat you have to roll him in flour to find the wet spot.
BTW, Feisty Red Head (the real one) it looks like you have a couple of different imitators popping up today, the FU and the *IL.
Looks like you'll have to copywrite your name to prevent the frauds.
Feisty Redhead Roselle, *IL - you do realize that imitation is the best form of flattery. ROFL!!! Love it!
Christie is so dense that light bends around him.
Most excellent idea!
Like I'm supposed to be offended by this re-regging twerp? lol
James in Seattle & the rest of his aliases is an amateur when it comes to Feisty impersonators...
There have been many over the years and this guy isn't fit to be a bench warmer!
[I don't have to continually bash Obama...]
You don't HAVE to, but yet you do...why is that Brian? Can't find it in your soul to actually defend him, can you...
No, you can't...and that speaks volumes.
Oh, I noticed you're first poster today...still haven't found a job I see...too bad...you better hope that Romney doesn't get that drivers seat coz your social welfare program will dry up faster than..well, you get the idea, right?
Sure you do...
Mickey - I have you on ignore but I was compelled to open up this post. No, I don't continually have to bash Obama... and no I can't find it in my heart to defend him. I find the man repulsive. I am so against the policies and his stance on this great country that I can't wait until he is gone. He is the antithesis of everything I believe about America. I do not trust his politics, his ways and his agenda for this country. If he gets 4 more years, this country will never be the country I grew up in. If you think he will be the same Obama in a second term, you have something wrong with your thinking. He will be 100 times worse because he will have nothing to lose by his actions.
You don't have to bother telling me all the good things you feel he's done... I already know the liberal viewpoint on those things. I disagree with all of them. For whatever reason you choose, you ignorantly blame the conditions of this country on Bush, but you never have the ability to recognize who the real culprits are in our piss poor conditions. Obama has added on to our misery and you ignore it.
You seem to think that I have my stand without reasons... but that is because you are a blind liberal only beholden to those ideals and feel good stances that you take. Taking a hold of reality and seeing the whole picture is not a strong point among your ideology. You want to blame everyone that is not a liberal but never look at what liberal policies do to our way of life.
Case in point - you castigate me for not having a job right now, but you have no idea how hard I am looking and the expense of travelling to places just for interviews in a job market that isn't doing much hiring. I hope you do not have to go through what I am going through just to find a job. 200 resumes out 3 responses back. Try it to find out for yourself... but then again, you won't because you'd rather sit in judgement on your high horse thinking you are better than everyone else. And you wonder why conservatives laugh at liberals... you have no sense of reality.
Will he be helicoptered into the Convention?
Sure you do BB... sure you do... ROTFLMFAO@Brian!
Good job, people! Right out of the gate we have to devolve in name-calling!
[... No, I don't continually have to bash Obama... and no I can't find it in my heart to defend him. I find the man repulsive.]
Well, Brian...yes you do...check your post history, you sound like a broken record. But anyway, I was referring to Romney. You can't bring yourself to defend the man. Why is that?
You blame your misfortune on President Obama, and wrongfully, I might add. Reality is, this administration is doing everything it can to get us out of this crap, but you follow the leader of baseless attacks. You said it yourself:
Brian, c'mon...you truly believe this @!$%#? Ask yourself: What does President Obama have to gain by doing what you emphatically claim he is doing? The answer is nothing. I mean, how's that going to look on his resume? (that's a joke). Really...think about it.
You think he's doing this on purpose? Really?
Stop blaming your misfortune on the president. It's totally misguided. So, you think that RomneyCo. has YOUR best interests at heart? Then you are REALLY misguided.
Listen, if you are in an engineering-related field, email me.
Great choice!
He bringing Snookie too? He can tell us all about what he HASN'T DONE for NJ. His accomplishments have all been debunked. When you claim to fame is acting like a tough guy buffoon similar to a character out of the Sopranos I'd say they can do better.
He's tolerated because his true worth is his fund raising abilities. the same thing that landed him his job as the Federal Prosecutor. Maybe some in depth review of his background is now in order.
Is it true that Christie was baptized at Sea World?
Just asking..
What did they do offer him a years supply of donuts?
What did they do offer him a years supply of donuts?
Yeah if you need a ringer for the pie eating contest.
Most likely. Where else could you do a full submersion at?
Just sayin'.
perfect choice of words, seeing how he's shaped like a keg...
I'd be mostly concerned that his heart be up to the demands of running for Prez, then the demands of the job itself. But, hey, Huckabee survived it...
Break out the Ho Ho's...............and the Ding Dongs.........
Why do pollsters disagree so much?
There is certainly some disagreement – even in final polls just before an election, but when you average all of the polls, you tend to get a better overall picture – probably because you are then greatly enlarging the size of the 'sample', thus minimizing the 'margin of error'.
One of the best sources in this regard is Realclearpolitics.com, which is an 'average of the polls'. Their accuracy over the last two Presidential Elections (2004 and 2008) has been quite good – beating all of the major pollsters, although they do have a slight Democratic bias (1.4% in 2004 and .35% in 2008).
One caveat that needs to be made with regard to Realclearpolitics.com, however, is that in the process of averaging polls, they 'mix apples and oranges' to some extent, which distorts reality – For example, they may combine some polls of 'All Adults' with polls of 'Registered Voters', and other polls of 'Likely Voters'. This can result in significant errors when estimating an upcoming election because Pollsters recognize that polls of 'All Adults' are typically biased towards Democrats by about 7% (when compared with actual election results), and polls of 'Registered Voters' are also biased in favor of Democrats, but with a smaller margin of about 4% (see link below for an explanation). All major pollsters recognize that polls of 'Likely Voters' are the best indicator of election results, but most of them don't switch to 'Likely Voters' until about a month before the elections – to avoid an embarrassing result when their final poll is compared to actual results..
If you look at the poll average issued daily by Realclearpolitics and make the adjustments for 'Adults' and 'Registered Voters', you actually will find an amazing consistency among pollsters. For example, on July 17, 2012, the Realclearpolitics' average of 'Likely Voters' polls shows Romney with a 2% lead, and if you 'adjust' the polls of 'Adults' and 'Registered Voters' for the average bias in those polls, they would also show Romney with about a 2% lead over Obama, even though their overall average favors Obama by about 2% because of the 'Adult' and 'Registered Voters' mix.
Of course, these polls change constantly, and we'll get a much clearer picture as the election approaches.
http://www.polimerican.com/adults-vs-registered-vs-likely-voters/
One last point for those who want to make a 'guess' as to the favorite at any point in time is the 'adjustment' for 'Undecided Voters', which most pollsters say are about 7% of the electorate at this point in time. Studies have shown that when there is an Incumbent running for election, most of them 'break for the challenger' by anywhere from 65% to 85% (see link below)- typically they are 'Undecided' because of dissatisfaction with the Incumbent, but just haven't made that final commitment to vote against them. If this holds true in 2012, then that could add anywhere from 2% to 5% to Romney's total . At this point in time, it appears that Obama could be in serious trouble.

*****BREAKING NEWS*****
And in other news...Krispy Creme adds two more shifts to it's donut factory, while Hostess announces it is reopening manufacturing plants across New Jersey...
...film at 11...
Wow some of you people are sooooo brave with all the fat jokes. I'll take a fat man over the empty suit in the WH who by the way has a FAT wife who telling everyone else how to eat.
Congrats, Gov Christie!
Every witless fat joke only reflects the envy progressives have , that they dont have a tough effective articulate leader like you on their side.
You have a great future ahead of you...now on to the geniuses with their donut jokes..
Will he be helicoptered into the Convention?
I guess he is not the VP pick of the day.
Actually Christie would outshine Romney. Too bad they didn't pick Christie, because he doesn't tend to flip-flop like Romney does almost daily.
They keep finding ways to ruin their chances at the White House, oh, this is so good it just HAS to be bad for you!!
Looks like you obese Dotties girl. Only fat people will say that , you wish to have body like Michelle .Is that something wrong with eating healthy and stay fit,?
GOP in very bad shape if this fat liar is key speaker for them!
Temper fatso..temper!
Just what the republican'ts need is Christie. A fat s. o. b. full of hot air. He'll speak if he doesn't die first from high cholesterol? Hopefully he won't explode by then?
Krispy cream is fatting, the GOP convention would be a cream "Puff" for Chrispy, Pigs, hogs, Clowns and flip flopping cash cows will be on display !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's hoping they have enough common sense to reinforce the stage!
Things get shaky when Governor Krispy Kreme starts throwing his weight around!
PS: They might also think about hiding any buffet tables, I have it from a good source, he can eat his weight in freebies!
Feisty, Do you think they'll build the stage strong enough? Wow! They are really stooping low to have HIM as keynote speaker. So I guess he's the "golden boy" VP pick.
They really don't have a clue do they? The guy has almost as much garbage as Romney. I'm beginning to think the GOP doesn't even want to win this go around.
Obama/Biden 2012
Seeking Sanity,
I worried about the elevators as well, they do have weight limits ya know! ☺
They chose this fat-assed clown because he's capable of throwing red meat to the rats in the audience, ala Palin did 4 years ago...
Funny you mention that - I've had the same thought over the past couple of weeks...
@ Feisty lol see #1.4. And no I'm not kidding. They ask for volunteers to go set up. I politely declined. I have better jobs to work here in Orlando.
It has been confirmed that David Axelrod is using the screen name Feisty Redhead on NBCNEWS.COM
Fuzzy - great minds and all... ;o)
I just want to know if he'll be able to walk to the microphone or will the limo have to deliver him?
feisty is smarter than Axelrod and besides, he doesn't have red hair !!!
Leg Humper alert!! New name same Id10t!!
Can you do anything but talk about his size? Mature.
Lighten up...
I wasn't the one who shoved the food down his gullet!
You're right ram. It's not about his size as much as his morals and attitude. I was busting on Brianb's comment. BTW I'm 5' 10" and 250 lbs. I'm not exactly what you'd call small, but I work for a living and do a physical job, unlike Gov. Christie.
Lookie, the Red Communist mooching Slunt that does not work has spoken. Get a job commieslunt!
Is it true that people in New Jersey jog around him for exercise?
Just asking..
"Is it true that people in New Jersey jog around him for exercise?
Just asking.."
No, those people are in orbit, they cannot break the good governor's gravitational field.
This thread is a PERFECT demonstration of the intellectual maturity (or lack thereof) of the liberals on this site.
And the usual suspects are right there, as expected!
(show me the clown nose, fisty!)
keynote speaking slot.....only if they can get him away from the snack bar!!
I'm sure he can deliver some "untruths" at the convention.......
Put you big boy pants on Flip Noddle Romney you are in a big boy fight.
Those racist comments are disgusting. Now we know what you stand from.
im thinkin that nasty redhead knows what shes talking about when it comes to beefing things up
Unbelievable. A bunch of comments about someone who is overweight. Too bad you all can't come up with anything substantive. Guess trying to be intelligent is above your pay grades. Typical of what we see on this site.
Mr. Kyle: You are right, can't come up with any substantive, so this is what is left!
Christie's weight IS relevant as to whether he is appropriate for a leadership role. One only has to take a look at this guy to see that 1.) He can't control any of his impulses (Emotions either for that matter) 2.) He doesn't exercise good judgement in everyday matters if he didn't get medical attention and/or professional help, and start exercising sometime around when he became 20-25 lbs. overweight. 3.)Someone of Christie's weight is likely to acquire about every medical problem known to mankind, making him very unlikely to be up to the job.
Some say Krispy cream has a big mouth and he wears a pink slip !!!!!!
WooHoo! Got a wifi signal. Doesn't happen very often. So, Christy won't be vp but the keynote speaker. My question is who else will be allowed to speak in prime time? Paul, Palin, Santorum, Gingrich? The RNC and Romney campaign has some headaches on the speakers ahead. Will they invite back Cheney/Bush? Inquiring minds want to know.
Hello Phine! Glad to see your post.
I hope that you are feeling well today. I'll continue to hope that your health will improve and that you will grow stronger each and every day.
I've missed reading your posts Phine - welcome back!
They'll run as far away as possible from Bush, Cheney, McCain and Palin. I'm not sure Palin is even welcome in the house. It would be too much of a reminder that they're rehashing the same policies that contributed to the Bush recession.
*wave to my GF Phine*
Good to see you today!
Hey, phine, good to see you! As I wrote on another thread yesterday, I'd be amazed to see either Bush or Cheney on stage in prime time, at least with the lights on and the microphones working. Santorum? Maybe - could be part of the deal for his "endorsement", however tepid that was. Paul? I somehow see him pushing someone else off the stage and grabbing the microphone away from them to say his piece. Palin? No way - though I could see her being a guest "analyst" or something for Fox News. And finally, Gingrich? I see that being like the convention in what was it - 1980? - when Carter and Kennedy kept playing hide and seek all during the big group hug thing at the end. Either way, it should be entertaining. As someone who still doesn't have cable, I'm kind of sorry that "primetime" on the basic networks isn't what it used to be for the conventions. But then again, the conventions themselves aren't what they used to be, either.
Take care of yourself!
Phine--good to see you here! I am sending healing thoughts your way.
I wonder if TV land will have to bleep Christie's comments in prime time!
"We have met the enemy and he is us!" Pogo by Walt Kelly
Is it true that when Christie visited a construction site in Philadelphia recently they used him as the wrecking ball?
Just asking..
Hardly ever get a wifi signal. SO BORED!!!!! Watching the IV drip is my big excitement of the day. I promised I would keep reading your posts. Couldn't help but drop by.
I miss all of you.
HUGS to all!
Laters!
New motto - Any food but hospital food!
Good afternoon phinephancy!
Great to see your posts, you are always in my thoughts and prayers!
Stay with it Phine. You are in my prayers.
Yeah, it kinda looks like Christie didn't make the final cut for the VP slot. He still could be named, but you'd think that the GOP would have first had a confidential meeting with Romney to verify that he was not the VP choice before announcing him as the keynote speaker.
And.... no fat jokes from me.
Feisty Redhead Roselle, *IL - We know you copied the REAL Feisty you moon bag go home. Besides you're making the GOP look like fools.
The Real Feisty ROCKS
Phinephancy - Good to see you. Stay strong :}
JoAnne, PA - Primetime news channels are better than the 24 hour cable opinion shows. So tired of them can't wait for the Olympics.
However, have started watching HBO - "Newsroom" and the USA series "Political Animals" Both are very good and getting me through this sports deprived summer.
Hmmm. Send in the clones.
Hi Phancy! Glad to see you are still on from time to time. Hope you are feeling better and the prognosis is looking up.
Be careful about accepting waves from Red... she carries a pair of scissors in her free hand so she can stab you in the back with. Just a word of advice.
Hope your internet connection stays on... your signal is strong and you can beat the boredom.
christie's so fat......he can't swim at the shore because he'd be harpooned
Christie is so fat.....when he goes to the beach he's the only one to get a tan
Christie is so fat...his pager is a VCR...
Christie is so fat...he eats Wheat Thicks...
really this is what you guys have fat jokes. so much shallow talk about being the party of compassion. all your doing is showing your real hate for anyone you dissagree with . kinda lame
I agree it's very lame but that's all the "children" have. Notice they don't mention Moochelle's weight? LOL It's a shame they let the uneducated parrots for the DNC vote, but then where would they get there welfare from? Conservatives believe in less government involvement and PERSONAL responsibility and accountability.
Christie makes Haley Barbour look svelte...
Scary!
Aaahhhh, Big Feasty ......Are you still bumpin your gums with the fat jokes ? What are you now ....5'5" and 255 ? More ?? Better lay off all that extra, extra butter on your popcorn ! You know what they say "A moment on your lips, forever on your hips" !
Of course, on this liberal "chat vine", being prejudiced against FAT people is okay .... so long as they are Conservative or Republican. But if anyone was to say something about a "liberal"based on "skin color" ..... WOW ! .... the outpouring of venom would be biblical !
The hypocrisy of the lefties is amusing, THEIR prejudices are okay ! LOL !!!
Dottie you must be anorexic if you think the First Lady is fat. She is a very toned and healthy looking woman. You wish you looked that good!
Some of the fat jokes are funny. And, carrying around an extra 200 to 300 pounds is really hard on your heart not to mention your knees. Christie is at the point where you have to wonder if he can put his own shoes on.
Where's the BEEF??....Christie ate it, all....hahahahaaa
Christie lures hogs to the GOP TeaPot Convention, this guy does draw some very strange characters !!!!!!!!!!!!!
The GOP should be careful. If Christie -- who is an intelligent and gifted speaker -- gives too good an address, It will only further reinforce to everybody what a nominee Willard is.
In the end, though, once Romney releases his tax returns (which he surely will be forced to do before the convention), the election will have been lost for him already.
Christie will be giving a eulogy address. Not a keynote address.
I anticipate that Romney will release his tax returns right after his horse comes in 4th or 5th at the Olympics. That way he can dance around any questions on them while no one is paying any attention.
Can't produce tax returns that are not completed you morons -- don't you even READ the news -- they're due next month and he'll produce them. Why we're in the mood for producing why did it take O until last year to produce a birth certificate and WHY are his college records SEALED and why did he and M give up their law degrees -- that's just for starters? Huh?? do I hear "crickets"
Sorry, girl but we want the same 25 years of tax returns that Romney provided to McCain in 2008 before he was rejected as a VP candidate in favor of Palin. I mean how bad must those returns have been to make McCain choose Palin?
McCain said that it wasn't Romney's tax returns. Palin was a better candidate. I'll bet she is sorry she didn't take a shot at the republican nomination. Nobody wanted Romney.
Oh, poor poor Dottie, you apparently have selective hearing. Romney has only produced one completed tax return for 2010. His 2011 is only an estimate. He apparently needed to file an extension for whatever reason(think we can all guess as to what that reason is). As for the rest of your rant, you really do watch too much FOX, or you are a Lush supporter. Go get yourself educated.....if you dare.
You Obama loving liberal morons must truly enjoy working for 50% of your pay. Pretty soon, Obama taxes will kick in and you'll be screaming all the way to the polls in 2016!!!
Enjoy your Obamacare and freebies, loosers!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, such an intelligent post you made there..lol.
Too Funny. Not much on your mind huh? That's normal for your kind. Can't think of anything good to say about your candidate, so you start off negative and call people names. NICE!!
Hey - the chemo chair next to me is empty. Want to join me? I am no moron - just happy that I will keep my insurance
Yup, damn that Obamacare! I just cashed my refund check from overcharged premiums that that was supposed to be for CEO bonuses and not spent on actual care services!
Damn them screamin liberals!
Is it true that The American Tent Company makes Christie's suits?
Just asking..
50%? You must think that all Obama supporters are in the highest tax bracket and have no income from capital gains and don't take any deductions. You're entitled to your opinion, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find enough people matching that criteria to be paying 50% in Federal income taxes either currently or in the foreseeable future to fit in a small room.
mike do you really think the fall in any other brackett than 0 %
Yeah, I see this as a political launching pad for Gov. Christie to run for a higher office...say president in 2016? It's almost like the GOP is already throwing in the towel for Gov. Romney and looking to future possibilities.
Frankly, I don't see what people like about him - he may be passionate, but he's also abrasive and doesn't seem to care who he offends.
Ursula--the launching pad for Christie--OMG--what a visual that conjures!
"We have met the enemy and he is us!" Pogo by Walt Kelly
The GOP gave up on the WH for 8 years when it picked John McCain to run against Obama in 2008.
The convention is definitely the place where they give the upcoming stars exposure, regardless of what they feel the election outcome may be.
I do agree with you, though, that privately the GOP is already looking for people they would need to promote for 2016 with the race being close and the prospect of not winning the White House for 2012 is a definite possibility.
Christie stood up against the greedy public sector unions....
Democrats are the union poodles, taking their campaign contributions in exchange for their excess pensions and fat salaries fleeced from the taxpayers..
He maybe brash but he's smart and was a Federal Prosecutor -- beats community organizer and a career politician (biden)!
a dog and a pony would beat obama & biden and thats just what we got a dog&pony show and it damn sure wasnt worth the price of admission.
Well that settles it I will not watch the keynote speech, I can barely stand to look at that fat ego maniac let alone listen to him, Christy ycck.
Spit gathers at the corners of his mouth when he speaks. YUK!
GOP Governor, "Fatty Arbuckle", speaking at the RNC? Very appropriate speaker to motivate the "Do Nothing" Republican Congress.
Not to disapoint....He will be arriving to the platform on a hover round passing out Kirsty Cream doughnuts telling everyone to shut-up
Okay, the visual on that is completely priceless! Seriously, dude, I have tears from laughing so hard!
Wow, the teabagger party is really scraping the bottom of the barrel here.
I'm now going to assume the repuke convention is going to be catered by the Old Country Buffet?
No, catered by an all you can eat seafood buffet - after all Tampa is on the gulf coast.
Will the shrimp glow in the dark?
The Red Communist Slunt has spoken. Now flies, land on her shytt! hahahahahaha. BTW fisty, get a job. Stop mooching off taxpayers. LMMFAO....lol...hahahahahaha hugs to all the flies....hahahahaha
Don't know if the shrimp will glow in the dark--after all--the visual and sniff tests came back negative--should be just fine [snarkometer on high!]......
"We have met the enemy and he is us!" Pogo by Walt Kelly
Seems the 4th grade bullies came out to insult someone today. And no, I don't like him, but I have reasons besides a gleeful chance to pick on his size. Now those are worth reading about.
Christie has nothing that a good strong staple couldn't cure (well, maybe a dozen staples).
Is it true that when Christie jumped in the water at the Jersey Shore, they had a tsunami in England?
Just asking..
Further proof liberals are all pigs! Mormon jokes are cool, fat jokes are cool (unless they're about Moochelle's ass) but Obama jokes are ALL racist and vile right libbies? I wrote the Moochelle bit to put it at a level you libs can understand.
Is it true that scientists use his belt to measure the equator?
Just asking..
Please, please - you're bloating the issue way out proportion!
I don't know; do they use a thimble to measure your brain?
Well, Dan, what do they use to measure your........nevermind.
"What did you do Ray?"
"LOOK!!!"
"It's the Stay Puft Marshmellow man."
"Mother puss-bucket...."
Lobster are on the endangered species list because of Moochelle "I be hongry" Soetoro HUSSEIN Obama
All you rightwingers, I bet your all proud of your boy joe here. He really makes you all look like him. joe here is the pride of the rightwing. He sure is telling us a thing or two.
Who the hell is going to watch his speech? Answer....not many people. He needs to lose 75 lbs first. No.....make that 100 lbs. Join weight watchers fatso.
His speech should be tons of fun...
LMFAO u made me cry laughing
sorry
Don't want you righties to be disappointed...somebody up the tortilla chip inventory and reinforce the platform. The gas bag in chief is on his was. (Well, Scott Walker is worse. He just isn't as funny to look at.)
Who better to talk about government gluttony than a 400lb republican?
Gov. Christie is Republican Obstructionism personified.
...and a good poster-boy for type II diabetes...
I don't like mean people - and Christie is just plain MEAN !!
Right.... and the clowns on this site aren't?
Read what the lunatics here at FR are writing in this thread. Then speak.
(show me the clown nose, fisty!)
I call BS on most of you Repubs. If Christie were a democrat you all would be doing the same damn thing so get off your high horse. So hippo-crytical!
tomato i think your in the wrong place if you dont like mean people
If Christie gets elected in 2016, he can take over Michele Obama's campaign against obesity.
im pretty sure hes FOR it, not against it
The Republican circus is coming to Orlando! clowns, tigers, and elephants oh my!!
....and THOUSANDS of carney barkers!
I'll be the first to admit....you put Christy next to Romney on a stage and Romney does actually look better....
Can Romney and Christie fit on the same stage?
standing together they look like the number ten...
Laurel and Hardy
What a loud mouth POS. Would think Romnuts could find someone with a little civility and class.
civility and class? In the republican party?
Nothing about Christie is "little"..........
Christie is the perfect choice for VP.
Romney invented obamacare and Christie spend every $ he could on Obama infrastructure push.
The GOP is making this way too easy. They must already be thinking about 2016.
Republicans will have to stock the "undisclosed location" with a couple of truck-loads of crispy-cream donuts.....
Or their going to have to increase the budget for the buffet.
It ain't over till the fat man makes rude comments and makes an ass out of himself. He's good at that.
Kinda like you, Jack?
