Here’s the script: “Tax havens, offshore accounts, carried Interest -- Mitt Romney has used every trick in the book. Romney admits that over the last two years he's paid less than 15% in taxes on $43 million in income. Makes you wonder if some years he paid any taxes at all. We don't know because Romney has released just one full year of his tax returns. And won't release anything before 2010. Mitt Romney: You know what, I've put out as much as we're gonna put out. What is Mitt Romney hiding?”
Today… “Obama will start his Texas trip with a fundraising event at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center in San Antonio for a fundraiser hosted by actress Eva Longoria, San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, U.S. Rep. Charlie Gonzales and others. The president will attend a second fundraising event while in town,” USA Today writes. “Obama then heads to Austin Tuesday afternoon for a fundraiser hosted by the LGBT Leadership Council. The event will be headlined by the singer-songwriter Jerry Jeff Walker, and tickets range in price from $250 per person to $7,500 per couple. He later will head to another fundraising event hosted by Tom Meredith, Dell's former finance chief. The Austin American-Statesman reported last week that campaign officials believe he can break a fundraising record with the biggest single-day haul in Texas political history.”
Yesterday… “President Obama put a new spin on his attack on Mitt Romney as an ‘outsourcer,’ citing a new commentary in a campaign speech today that suggests that his rival's policies will lead to American jobs shifting overseas,” USA Today writes, adding, “Speaking at a town hall-style meeting in Cincinnati, Obama referenced the analysis by Reed College columnist Kimberly Clausing in Tax Notes that found Romney's support for changes in the territorial tax system would "increase employment in low-tax countries by about 800,000 jobs."
The Wall Street Journal looks at some of the lighter moments from yesterday’s town hall with the president, including talking haircuts and Girl Scout cookies.
“President Obama's health care law is constitutional as a tax — but only a small percentage of Americans will pay more, a USA TODAY analysis of federal data shows. Though the law is projected to raise more than $800 billion in taxes, fees and penalties over a decade, 40% comes from about 3.5 million households with adjusted gross incomes above $200,000. Employers, insurers and health care providers are slated to fork over much of the rest. That leaves only a few taxes that will fall partially on middle-income taxpayers.”

And she has another six months to go before she reaches her self-imposed deadline to step down and take a breather.”
She just returned from a France-Afghanistan-Japan-Mongolia-Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia-Egypt-Israel trip.

I wonder if the Dems have some inside info on Mitt which they are going to release after The GOP has committed to having Romney as their candidate? If so, the GOP is making a mistake by excusing Romney's secrecy.
Judging from some conservative pundits, I'd say the GOP is a little uneasy with Romney's refusal to release more tax returns and own up to his Bain activities. It's clear the Obama campaign isn't going to let up on the attack - maybe Romney figures he can just ride it out...
What is Obama hiding ? Why are his college records under lock and key ?? If he is as brilliant as all the lefties want us to believe, why not show his greatness ??? Or did Obama get student loans claiming to be a foreign exchange student ???? Has Barack Hussein Obama ever used a different name ?????
And what is with all the bull$hit about outsourcing jobs ? Barack Obama is on film clips with his buddy Jeffrey Immelt proclaiming that G.E. is a model for U.S. business models. But G.M. employs LESS THAN HALF their workforce here in the U.S. and has 277 manufacturing facilities in 42 countries !!!!!!!
Also, the high-speed rail (part of the STIMULUS) from Los Angeles to Las Vegas .... oh yeah, the train is to be built in China !!!! No more lies, deception, half-truths, and innuendo from YOU, Mr. President, you are proving that you are a HYPOCRITE !
Mitt, isn't hiding any more than Obama, where is Obama's college transcript, and real birth certificate. He was going to go to college as a foriegn exchange student.
This race is not close.....the electoral college is still smitten with the President.....This is irresponsible journalism.....Why aren't you covering the double digit pounding the GOP and RNC will take in November......Oooops I forgot,,,,if you tell people the race is close they read your awful writing.........Sitting on a landslide and no-one wants to talk about it
I think the race will be close but Romney has to get out to the seniors and tell them that Obama is a liar when he tells them that, under Romney, SS and medicare recipients will have to pay $6,400.00 when in fact it will not cost one penny more for anyone 55 or older. In the meantime (10 years) Medicare will be over-hauled so as to make it viable again.
BTW: The Democrats and Obama would like you to believe that SS is broke because it cannot sustain it self on the taxes it currently receives. That is true and is why Obama wants to raise taxes to fund the program. What the Democrates don't tell you is that SS was set up as a self-sustaining annuity -- but they got greedy under LBJ and raided the SS trust fund dry. Now SS gets its money from the US Treasury in exchange for worthless (non-negotiable) bonds which need not be honored. In fact if SS called them in, which it cannot do, we would be in really s**t shape.
Truth be told the Dems are making alot of it up as they go.. Anything to get re-elected...
And Romney is as busy as cat in a litter box covering up the few accomplishments he likes to brag about.
Bain capitol: Not responsible after 99: although he attended board meeting and drew a 100 K salary and was listed as owner in a multitude of documents.
Tax returnes: has only released two partial. With all the pressure from both sides, Why is not releasing them so important to him. More cover up/
Olympis in 2002: Mysteriously all the electronic documents have been purged after he promised transparentcy.
Mass Gov: Again electronics deletion of documents by deletion and making hard drives unavailable.
Israel: No press allowed at a fund raiser in a foreign country in which illegal contributions may be solicited.
Policies: No details om any of his policies consistent with his stated belief that such things are best discussed in quiet rooms away from the public view.
See a pattern here?
This does not include his etch a sketch and flip flopping on every issue where principals should he involved. He has no principal he will not compromise (if in deed he has any principalsat all). His only cast iron belief is he should be president.
The facts of his cover ups strongly suggest a crooked corporate CEO, not a US President.
The more people know about Mitt, his extravagance, his preference for the 1%, and his religion (a cult to most in the south), the more absurd he is. He is probably hiding quite a lot, it is the way he was raised, there is a secrecy to Mormonism that is only parralleled by Scientology (both cults to this Southern Evangelical). One thing Mitt can't escape from is the fact that Bubba and the SBC (Southern Baptist Convention) will never get out and vote for him - they will not vote for President Obama either, but that is a base the GOP has always counted on and this time that is a dog that just won't hunt down here.

Let's try to think this out, Bob. Let's stipulate that it's possible that a person can be a bigot. Agreed? Now let's stipulate that a person can be religious (a person can believe in a particular religion). Now, since not all religions agree on everything, it would be impossible to be religious without disagreeing with a (different) religion. Choice of beliefs is all subjective. Therefore, it would be impossible to believe in ANY religion without being, in your words, "a religious bigot".
So, there is no such thing as a "religious bigot".
I have not always been a southerner, but I would never vote for a Mormon, and this prejudice is based on the experiences I have had with Mormons that I have worked alongside and gotten to know quite well. I'll stop here.

Romney ought to release his tax returns, period. It seems a fair request of a candidate to show his tax returns.

Romney did nothing illegal. He made $20 million in 2002 and didn't pay any taxes. If you are rich there are legal ways to evade taxes.
I honestly do not understand where calling President Obama a "leftest Zealot" came from. If we were to discuss the health care law and particularly the mandate that was a republican idea until President Obama decided to go along with it plain and simple. The left would have preferred a single payer system that cut insurance companies out of health care all together but the new law guarantees millions of customers for the private insurance companies. Yes President Obama wants to raise taxes a few percent on the most well off but both Bush Sr and Saint Ronnie also raised taxes as well. In fact under President Obama taxes overall have gone down. Defense spending continues to raise where most left leaning folks would like to see less defense spending. The rest of the Obama administration policies are not that different from the Bush administration except for the emphasis on more fairness for the middle class which could be viewedas a more centrist approach. So if anything President Obama appears more center to center right than even close to left leaning.

By releasing the information regarding his taxes etc. the truth will come out. If there is something uncomplimentary, deal with it and move on. The longer this festers the worse it will be for Romney even with his own party.

The territorial tax change was a recommendation of Simpson-Bowles.
Either President Obama is turning his back on bipartisan solutions or he is choosing to spin an issue into an untruthful attack.

Of course, it was already quite clear he completely turned his back on the findings of the Simpson-Bowles commission. We are in his 4th year of office, $16 trillion in debt .... with no budget, no plan, and no clue !

Do you remember who created the debt? It was George Bush and the republicans. They put us into two wars and then gave a tax cut. The budget that Paul Ryan has put forth hurts the most vulnerable Americans and gives the rich large tax breaks. His budget is a cruel joke and should be thrown into the trash.

I guarantee Mitt Romney isn't hiding half (if he's hiding anything at all ) of what Barack Obama and Michelle Obama are hiding from us. Funny how it's all right for them to seal their college transcripts, etc., and not one so called journalist, reporter or anyone else is capable of standing up and demanding they release them so the American people can see what they are. The Obama's are two faced liars who would do anything to get a vote. He has disgraced the office of the Presidency and will go down in history as America's biggest mistake.

People don't care about college transcripts. Obama has proven himself smart enough. Americans do care about a man who would choose MONEY over American workers.
Did Romney ship even ONE American job overseas so he could make more money? That is the question. My feeling is Romney destroyed hundreds if not thousands of American families so he could get richer. And I do mean DESTROYED! 90% of divorces are over MONEY and it is without a doubt that because of Mitt Romney (and the GOP) greed to continue tax breaks for companies that fire Americans and give our jobs to the lowest bidder that many families have been ripped apart.

Did romney, while sitting on worth of perhaps 10-20 million decide to ship American jobs overseas and stuff money in offshore bank accounts so he could grow that wealth to hundreds of millions?

The reason the percentage paid on taxes is so low is because he gave a ton of money to charity. Of course the tax rate on his earned income would be low because the libs forget to tell the public all charitable contributions are tax deductible and Romney has been a very generous man.,

1. Fast & Furious information. What is Obama hiding? Is he involved in this criminal activity? He won't release the facts. Hmmm...
2. Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac information. Obama refuses to allow any information into the lending scandal that these two organizations largely manifested be released to investigators. What is Obama hiding? Is he involved in this suspicious and possibly illegal activity? He won't release the facts. Hmmm...
3. Intelligence leaks. Obama refuses to release any information or cooperate with investigators who are looking into the possibility that someone in the White House is leaking classified information. What is Obama hiding? Is he involved in these leaks? Hmmmm...
There are more, but I think my pont is made. I don't give a rat's tuchas about Romney's tax returns. He isn't President of the US, and what he makes doesn't matter. If he cheated on his taxes, the IRS would be all over him. You know without a doubt, Obama had the IRS go through his tax returns with a fine tooth comb. NO DOUBT IN MY MIND ABOUT THAT!!!
