I don't want a politician that changes the positions or who they are based on the folks looking at them.

Wow, are you talking about Mitt Romney, the King of Flip Flop?

Chris@SLC -- Case in point above, but this is a MUCH deeper problem than selective memory. Did you see the chain Email being distributed among the Teapublican (and Mormon) faithful? Not only does it promote Birthers, transcripters, and in general offensive and propaganda BS (e.g., "regime" instead of administration), the LIES about Romney are mind-bending.

Folks, some time back when Romney was tagged for claiming he started a company, he stopped for awhile, but now that media attention on that has died down he is back at it. Bill Bain started Bain Capital! Romney did not risk anything--no capital, nor job security, or even his reputation. And regardless of the handful of companies that survived Bain's corporate raiding versus the many more that went under, the bottom line is Romney profited 100% of the time, often with use of taxpayer funds.

Romney doesn't say much about the Olympics anymore, and for good reason. He jumped on the chance to use his connections in Utah to resurrect his political career. The Olympics weren't even over before Romney was campaigning. Everything has been a stepping stone for him and that's all.

The rightwing chain Email (is there any other kind?) even claims that Romney is completely transparent (unlike the president) including his tax returns! The Bermuda story is much more relevant than folks realize -- Romney put this in Ann's name the day before he was sworn in as governor. And then in an attempt to appear not to be a "tax hiker," he increased regressive fees--regressive meaning on the backs of the poorest 95%. And Massachusetts would have ranked even lower in jobs if so many people hadn't moved out of the state. Then on his way out, Romney took the hard drives with him.

Mitt's father George Romney said that only one year's tax returns could be a "fluke." Like blind trusts, Romney knows full well that he is presenting a "fluke" because he, unlike any other politician in history, has money offshore including a Swiss bank account. Unfortunately Mitt only learned the wrong things from his parents -- Who should have forced him to make his own way so that now he would be his own person.

Legal is not the same as ethical or moral. A candidate can cheat on his wife who is dying from cancer, and that is not illegal. But do we want this candidate to be our POTUS, Commander in Chief, and leader of the free world? No. Character matters. Romney -- He's not in it for you.

Considering all the money being spent and national polls showing a dead heat but swing states have our President leading, I would say yes the attacks are working.

Furthermore, the surrogates are far more explaining the Health Care Law which the Keiser polls says is turning people more positive toward the Health Care Law.

One more thing, those are not attack ads they are truisms. Everything about R-money is fake accept the ads reporting what a liar Willad is.

ATTACKS ???

Bishop WILLARD of the Church of the Magic Panties is his OWN WORST ENEMY ....

his Etch-A-Sketch brain is connected to both sides of his face, if you want to know his positions on anything all one has to do is position themselves on the side of Bishop Willard that is telling them what they want to hear...

Beside that the guy is NEEDY, he has an un-natural desire to have EVERYONE in the COUNTRY LIKE HIM... almost as if he thinks the election is a facebook page ....even John Boehner knows Bishop Willard is his own worst enemy, just read his quote from this past weekend " “Listen, we’re just politicians. I wasn’t elected to play God. The American people probably aren’t going to fall in love with Mitt Romney."

The GOP sent yet another failure to the top of the pile in hopes that the rest of the country was just as mendacious & ignorant as their leadership is, they were SURE they could beat a Black man from Chicago with a WAR HERO, this time they assume America wants a spineless Cult Bishop who was born in MEXICO a millionaire ?

SORRY GOP, wrong again and this time it might cost you clowns the total collapse of the GOP,

you are doing the LIBERALS WORK FOR THEM & come November we will thank you by gutting your abortion, women's health invasion & voter purges in addition to regaining the Senate & a substantial number of House seats .

We will owe it ALL to your inabilities & foolish assumptions.... don't bother sending a bill tho...

we are going to be paying off GWBUSH's bills for the next 25 years & are going to be pressed for cash .

Factcheck.org and Washington Post stands firm in their assessment.

And yet many beg to differ. Fact check seems to have lost a lot of credibility.

The attacks have so upset the Romney campaign that they actually sat down with the Washington Post in order to strong-arm them into changing their story so that all of the Bain decisions impacting workers happened after Romney left as an active Bain partner. That story stood in direct contradiction to the claim ofWashington Post factchecker Glenn Kessler, leaving Romney with the sole option of using factcheckers to dispute the Obama campaign's claims. http://crooksandliars.com/karoli/romneys-desperate-need-counterspin-captures

Concern ... PLEASE I beg of you ... GET A DICTIONARY!

Lunch brake

From about.com (which if you've not got Google as your homepage, about.com might just work for you as well) ...

As a noun, brake most commonly refers to a device for slowing down or stopping the movement of a vehicle or machine. The verb brake means to slow down or stop with a brake.

As a noun, break has many meanings, including a fracture, an interruption, a pause, a sudden move, an escape, and an opportunity. The irregular verbbreak also has many meanings. The most common ones include to split or cut open, to make unusable, to disrupt or get rid of, and to interrupt.

And no, I don't need everyone going all ballistic on me for trying to correct this little error ... this trainwreck of a commentor goes bananas on me daily with such choice words as libertard, idiot, and moron ...

Have you seen the NYT or MSNBC refuting the attacks on R-money claim our President as an outsourcer?

The campaign continued, "Mitt Romney, who’s personally profited from investments in companies that were pioneers in shipping American jobs to India and China as a corporate buyout specialist, would slash funds to spur the clean energy sector in America, eliminating renewable energy jobs in states like Colorado and Iowa and ceding the industry to China. The American people deserve a President who will fight to create jobs here in America, not the 'Outsourcer-in-Chief' Mitt Romney promises to be.”

That is Romney’s newest claim. OK. So I have one question for Mitt Romney; will you support tax legislation to curb outsourcing? I have one more question; if you have nothing to hide regarding your tax returns, why are you willing to suffer the obvious and very significant political damage to keep them secret when you could stop it all by doing what every other presidential candidate has done?

Obama has made significant proposals to fight outsourcing through tax policy, punish outsources and give the money to those that create jobs here. He has released years of tax returns. It looks to me like candidate Romney is afraid to expose a significant Republican lie; rather than the US tax codes being onerous for the wealthy, it is loaded with candy for them!

It was not my intent to write this piece, but on MSMBC Chuck Todd interviewed Republican Senator John Cornyn about voting separately for the middle-class extension which everyone agrees is the right thing to do, and the tax cut for the wealthy later. Senator Cornyn did his verbal bluster-speak. Chuck Todd waited and then nailed him with the question; are Republicans afraid to vote on them separately? Senator Cornyn said that Republicans will address all of it after the elections. That is the classic non-answer answer made famous in the movie All the President’s Men.

I would like to add this to the debate about extending tax cuts for the middle class right now. Republicans deplore uncertainty. It is the route-cause of everything that is wrong with the economy according to all Republicans. Well why won’t they put their vote where there rhetoric is?

The middle-class is uncertain what their paychecks will look like in January. This stifles spending by the most important part of the economic engine. Republicans can end that uncertainty tomorrow by having a vote extending their tax cut. Why don’t they just love this easy fix!

Military Members, Veterans, Military retirees;

please note that Swiss Bank account Romney PROMOTED THE DRAFT during the Viet Nam War,

then skipped out to France for extraordinary length of time when church missionary tours were limited.

When Romney came home, he sided with his dad that the whole Viet Nam War was a scam and that he was against the war.

Promoting the draft, while Americans were dying, he skipped out, then says he wishes he could have participated. His whole life has been a lie.

Romney is a COWARD, Lying, Draft Dodger, who promoted someone else to die for him, that is his way of management.

Some may want anyone but Obama, but this guy ranks with Jane Fonda and should not be given anything or elected for anything.

For those who are not old enough to remember the military draft, it was a mandatory commitment for two years that was implemented during the Viet Nam War. If your number was called, you went and served like it or not. Young people may say, I wouldn't go and they can't make me, think again.

This is what Romney promoted as if he were a "responsible citizen", then he left his fellow citizens to serve and some died for us and him. I am ashamed of him as I am retired military member, and forget about representing our country Mr. Romney.

I am one of the Military members who are against Romney, this has nothing to do with politics.

A/ He believes the Swiss Franc is a stronger more stable currency than the USD

B/ He is a self serving greedy unpatriotic billionaire who will divest from the US economy to make more riches

C/ He is doing something shady or cheating the system

D/ He is claiming charitable donations to the Mormon cult as tax write offs.

E/ All of the above

Romney was booed by the NAACP, because he made two cardinal mistakes. The first mistake was referring to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act as Obamacare. Clearly, the shrewd progressive activists with the NAACP know that calling the legislation Obamacare is a rightwing push to racialize the issue. The second mistake was focusing on the fiscal constraints and costs of health care reform, rather than acknowledging the uninsured and consequences they are forced to endure, and failing to present a pathway, albeit a free market pathway, to expanding coverage. Veiled attempts to exploit wedge politics, and ignoring the suffering of the innocent is not going to go over well with a Civil Rights group.

Ya gotta love the frothing at the mouth panic the liberals are in. I mean really, trying to pin outsourcing of jobs on Romney when he was running the Olympics and wasn't even involved in the day to day management of Bain. A management, which includes many liberal democrats who not only also say that Romney wasn't involved, but are also campaign contributors to Obama as well.

Seems the Obama campaign doesn't mind a bit taking the money from all of those jobs that were outsourced by those liberal democrats at Bain.

And then, of course, you have the famous San Fransisco - Oakland Bay bridge which was built in China. No union iron worker jobs for Americans on that one. California is importing a bridge from China that could have been built by Americans; this in the liberal Mecca of California.

Funny how you hear crickets chirping in the liberal camp whenever that subject is brought up. California is owned by the liberals, so there's no where to run to hide from their own hypocrisy.

Just another couple of examples of why I hate modern day, post FDR liberalism to its rotting core. It is made up of nothing but lies, delusions, and hypocrisy. It truly is a pile of dog sh!t ideology.

And by the way, I am not a Romney supporter, nor will I be voting for him.
