Orlando, Fla. -- Speaking before a crowd of more than 2,000 Tuesday at the University of Central Florida, First Lady Michelle Obama listed President Barack Obama’s initiatives during his first term – including his recent executive order to stop deporting undocumented immigrants who arrived in the U.S. as children – and said those policies are all “on the line” in November’s election.
“In the end, it all boils down to one simple question. Are we going to continue the change we begun, the progress we made?” Obama said. “Are we going to let everything that we fought for to just slip away?”
“We cannot turn back now,” she added. “We need to keep moving forward.”
The reference to President Barack Obama’s announcement last month that he had moved to block the deportation of hundreds of thousands of young illegal immigrants was perhaps an indication of how crucial Florida – rich in Latino votes – has become in an increasingly tight election.
“He knows and believes that it is time to stop denying responsible, young people opportunities in this country because they’re the children of undocumented immigrants. It’s time to stop that,” Obama said of her husband’s support for the DREAM act, which would offer a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants who have graduated from high school.
The measure has been held up in Congress since 2010.
According to pool reports earlier in the day, Obama made a quick surprise visit to the Blanchard Park YMCA in a mostly Hispanic neighborhood in Orlando. Many children recognized her – one girl covered her grin with both hands but could not hide it. Another asked for a hug.
At the university, Obama spoke for about 25 minutes inside the basketball arena. A state fire official estimated there were 2,251 people in the bleachers and on the gym floor.
There was no mention of the president’s opponent, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, or of class and money – prominent themes in the attack ads released by both sides.
Still, Obama made a careful pitch of her husband as an ordinary man, whose origins as the son of a single mother “who struggled to put herself through school and pay the bills” leavens his judgment in office.
“I have seen how as president you are going to get all kind of advice for all kinds of people,” Obama said. “But at the end of the day, let me tell you when it comes time to make that decision as president, all you have to guide you are your life experiences. All you have to direct you are your values.”
"We all know who my husband is, don’t we?" Obama added. "We all know what Barack Obama stands for, don’t we?”

Law schools students don't generally write a thesis. You're thinking of Ph.D. candidates.
Having said that, all education records for everyone are not public record. George W. Bush refused repeatedly to release his school records (though they were eventually leaked.)
If you want this President held to a higher standard than every other U.S. leader in the past, simply because of his skin color, just come out and say it.

How many illegals does your husband intend to give amnesty to and/or allow to stay in thre country, despite being illegal? And of those, how many will be taking jobs from US citizens or sticking their hand out for 'entitlements"? Why should we allow illegals into the country when would could, instead , allow legal immigrants, that are highly educated, have money to invest and do not require 'entitlements"? What is your husband's plan to stop record setting deficit spending and debt creation? How will raising taxes on individuals making $200,000.00 or more and families making $250,000.00 create jobs? Why isn't your husband willing to use any revenues raised by tax hikes to pay down the $16 Trillion national debt as opposed to using it for more spending? Why does your husband fourth proposed budget call for deficit spending and debt building well beyond 2017 when he previously told the nation that he would not kick the can down the road and allow our children and grandchildren to be saddled with deficits and debt? Why does Mr. Obama fourth budget propose a debt of over $25 Trillion at 75% of GDP by the year 2022 when he previously told us he would put a stop to debt building? Why did your husband tell the Russians that he will be more flexible on meeting Russian demands for US to dismantle our missile shields, but has not mentioned any such plans to the American people? What are your views on capitalism? What are your views on the Flag and national anthem? As an attorney, I can see your questions fall into two categories: First are leading questions, in which you are clearly suggesting one answer over another. Second, most are the sort of fallacy questions that have no right answer (i.e. have you stopped beating your wife?)
If you really have genuine issues you want addressed, you need to go back and try to separate your political interests from your obviously personal prejudicial hatred.
You ask your questions and I'll ask mine. And as an attorney, you should know that leading questions are the types of questions best designed to get to the truth. But we will never get there, because Obama doesn't allow the public to ask question , only party hacks like you.

Perhaps the first lady would care to exlpain how adding 800,000 more job seekers to this depressed economy/job market is a good move. Sounds like 800,000 more people added to the unemployment and welfare lines. It's all OK in Libbyland though, everything will be magically allright when the rainbow colored printing presses crank out more Obamabucks. 16 trillion may as well be an imaginary number--why not 20 or 30 trillion as a new debt standard? Pandering for the Latino vote at the expense of the rest of the country is just politics as usual for this administration.

The sentiment of your husband's concern for the plight of the undocumented kids of illegal aliens is respected. His ignorance of the rule of law in order to try and effect change is REPREHENSIBLE.
Change is made at a snail's pace in a society like ours where we have two major points of view and neither has a supermajority. Our country tends to never get more than 60:40 split on most things. The only way to make change in that kind of environment is to make small compromise steps.
The rule of law must be equally applied to all. If a President can suddenly start deciding to ignore laws or exempt some people from them then we no longer have a constitutional republic. Instead we have a tyranny.
I hope for the sake of all Americans that people have woken up to your husband's unacceptable behavior and send him packing with a bootprint on his butt

Mitt Romney admitted that a lawn company he had used hired illegal immigrants and that when he found out he told the company it could not have illegal aliens working on his property because he was running for office.

Barack invited his illegal alien Aunt Zeituni to his Inauguration and an Inaugural Ball.
Although he hasn't invited his illegal alien Uncle Onyango to the White House, when Uncle Onyango was booked for drunken driving and was asked if he wanted to make a telephone call to arrange for bail, he replied: "I think I'd like to call the White House."
The NUMBER ONE political issue to tackle, which
incidentally will solve five major national financial problems at once, is
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. The best way to CREATE JOBS is to deport all illegal
immigrants NOW. First that will create thousands and thousands of seriously
needed immigration and border patrol agent jobs right off the bat. Second, as
the illegal immigrants are removed and deported the jobs they leave will be
available for TRUE AMERICANS. Third, by having TRUE AMERICANS employed then the
TAXES WILL BE PAID to the government (instead of the employers of illegal
immigrants keeping that money to avoid being detected for employing illegal
immigrants). Fourth, by deporting illegal immigrants we SAVE OVER A TRILLION
DOLLARS A YEAR as a nation since hard working TRUE AMERICANS currently pay
taxes to support THE HEALTH, EDUCATION AND WELFARE BEING USED BY THE ILLEGAL
IMMIGRANTS WHO WILL NO LONGER BE HERE. (NOT COINCIDENTALLY THIS IS ALMOST
EXACTLY EQUAL TO OUR ANNUAL NATIONAL BUDGET DEFICIET) Fifth, we won't be
spending real taxpayer dollars on health (including anchor babies) education
and welfare on multiple fraudulent/fake identifications for each of these
individuals. And finally, as a BIG BONUS it will prove to America and the rest
of the world that we are serious about getting our country back on our feet
which is the biggest inducement (GLOBAL CONSUMER CONFIDENCE) that will be immediately
affected. America
