Subscribe to RSSA new round of NBC News-Marist polls shows President Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney running almost neck-and-neck in three key battleground states, with Obama holding a slight advantage in Michigan and North Carolina, and the two candidates tied in New Hampshire.

In Michigan, Obama is ahead by four percentage points among registered voters, including those who are undecided but are still leaning toward a candidate, 47 to 43 percent.

In North Carolina, the president gets 46 percent to Romney's 44 percent, which is within the survey's margin of error.
And in New Hampshire, the two men are tied at 45 percent each.

"Everything is very close," says Lee Miringoff, the director of Marist College's Institute for Public Opinion, which conducted these surveys.
In 2008, Obama won Michigan and New Hampshire – which had been competitive states in previous presidential elections – by double-digit margins. And he carried North Carolina, a reliably Republican state since 1980, by just 14,000 votes.
In all three states, Obama's approval rating remains above water -- or right on the surface. In Michigan, 48 percent of registered voters approve of his job, while 42 percent disapprove.
In New Hampshire, it's 47 to 45 percent, and in North Carolina it's 47 to 47 percent.
Romney calls Obamacare 'moral failure'
As for Romney, his favorability rating is upside down in two of the three states. In Michigan, 37 percent say they have favorable impression of the former Massachusetts governor, and 43 percent have an unfavorable opinion. In North Carolina, Romney's fav/unfav is 40-42 percent.
The lone exception is in New Hampshire – which borders Massachusetts, and where Romney owns a home – it's even at 45-45 percent.
Mixed results on the economy
The issue of the economy is a mixed bag in each of these three states, as well.
Majorities say the country is headed in the wrong direction, but nearly equal majorities believe that Obama inherited the current economic conditions.
In Michigan, the president holds a narrow edge over Romney, 44 to 42 percent, when it comes to which candidate would do a better job handling the economy.
Romney, meanwhile, leads on this question in New Hampshire, 46 to 42 percent. And they are tied in North Carolina, at 43 percent.
"The economy plays both ways in all three states," Miringoff says.
Obama leads big with Hispanics, but they're not fired up and ready to go yet
In New Hampshire, adding Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) to the GOP presidential ticket doesn't improve Romney's standing in the Granite State.
A Romney-Ayotte team won the support of 43 percent of registered voters, versus 45 percent for Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.
In a hypothetical contest for Michigan's Senate seat, incumbent Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow leads former Republican Rep. Pete Hoekstra by 12 points among registered voters, 49 to 37 percent.

And in North Carolina's gubernatorial contest, former Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory, the Republican nominee, gets 43 percent, while Democratic Lt. Gov. Walter Dalton gets 41 percent.
These three NBC-Marist surveys were conducted June 24-25 by landline and cell phone of 1,078 registered voters in Michigan, 1,029 registered voters in New Hampshire and 1,019 registered voters in North Carolina.
The margin of error for the New Hampshire and North Carolina poll is plus-minus 3.1 percentage points, and it's 3.0 percentage points in Michigan.

Watch the polls change now. Court rules 5-4 (Roberts went to left) that Obamacare is within the taxing powers - that the mandate is a tax. Obama had promised to not raise taxes on the middle class and this will be a huge tax on them. 53% already were against the law so that should energize the movement to get Romney elected so that he can repeal it. This will also stop small business fro hiring. An apparent victory for Obama that will ultimately sink him! And he can't blame the court for this one!

Romneyy has promised to begin the repeal of this fiasco the day he steps into office and this ruling has all but assured his election! Obama has no one to blame for its failure now.

The reason why everyone is scared of Obama Care is because of the fear mongering that was positioned against the healthcare plan.
What the plan will really do is to make certain that Americans have health insurance so that if they are involved in accidents that they will be able to pay their bills. Bills that if are not paid cause more economic problems in the long run.
ObamaCare is toughing America up like we should so that we will be responsible and looked upon with a higher regard by the rest of the world.
STEADY ON THE LEFT LADS!
But the the secondary attack of Obama Care is along the lines of Illegal Immigration. With Americans now being made to have health insurance, what I meant to say is LEGAL AMERICANS, the illegal immigrants will not have any place to hide.
Now longer will they be able to come to America, get pregnant and receive free medical assistance because they are not legal Americans which will make them think twice about coming here and trying to upend the American economy by getting pregnant numerous times and then hiding in the countryside while their little plan to cause economic chaos in America keeps Americans at odds dividing America so that they can slowly slip in and take America over.
Obama Care is going to cure the problem of illegal immigration by making Americans pay for their healthcare whereas the illegals will not have any means of obtaining healthcare because they are illegals.
Although Americans may think that by their being made to pay for healthcare is a violation of their Constitutional Rights it is not a violation. It is an effort to reduce the number of illegal immigrants that come into America each year.
Did you know that illegal immigrants cost America $100 billion dollars a year as result of revenue that is lost because they are paid under the table and do not pay taxes to the United States....which is real socialism if you think about it as they feel entitled to come to America work freely without paying as well as receiving free healthcare benefits that Americans pay out of pocket for.
Obama Care will weed these illegals out of the system permanently because if they are not able to use the system, especially the healthcare system because they are not legal Americans then they will not want to come to America knowing that they will not be freely exploit the system making the rest of America pay for their luxuries.
Obama Care is also a shield against Terrorism along the lines of Healthcare. If illegals are able to get free healthcare then so are terrorists who slip into America. Obama Care will stop them before they are able to make their plans to attack America in much the same way Obama Care will stop the hundreds of billions of dollars that escape into the underground through illegal immigration.
If they illegals know that they cannot get medical help because they are not legal citizens then their advance will be stopped.
I want to show you something based upon Obama Care being partly Constitutional and UnConstitutional.
The parts that are Constitutional are a positive or they go up. The Unconstitutional portions are a negative and go down. Each being their own block in the phalanx against illegal immigration and terrorism.
As you align the Constitutional Portions up in line with each other and the Unconstitutional Portions up in line with each other where the negative portions are behind the positive portions you can see the trap where those going after the Unconstitutional Portions between the two Constitutional portions are caught as the spears of the Constitutional Phalanx shred them as they fall for the trap. As they fall for the trap the two flanking Constitutional Portions then envelope those trapped in the Unconstitutional portion....just like the 27 Republicans opposed to Obama were trapped.

With the GOP causing the Illegal Immigration Problem under Reagan where Reagan allowed the Illegal Mexicans into the country to begin that has caused hundreds of billions of taxpayers dollars to be lost on yearly basis I think that America will stand on the side of President Obama and not those who allowed the problem into the country to begin with.
