STERLING, Va. -- Mitt Romney reserved some of his harshest criticism of President Barack Obama's health care reform law for the eve of the Supreme Court ruling that will decide its fate, labeling the law as "moral failure" by a president who chose to focus on healthcare, rather than jobs, at a time of national economic crisis.
"His policies were not focused on creating jobs. They were focused on implementing his liberal agenda. There’s nothing wrong with people having an agenda, but when the country’s in crisis, you have a moral responsibility to focus on helping people come out of that crisis," Romney said at a rally here Wednesday evening. "It was not just bad policy; it was a moral failure to put forward a piece of legislation that wouldn’t help Americans get back to work, and to focus the energy of the White House on Obamacare."
With the Supreme Court expected to rule on the constitutionality of the law – which includes the individual mandate -- on Thursday morning, Romney took the opportunity to batter the controversial law before a friendly, energetic audience, suggesting that Obama will spend a sleepless night tonight fretting about the future of the legislation.
"My guess is they're not sleeping real well at the White House tonight. That's the way it ought to be," Romney said. "And this is a decision, by the way, about whether or not Obamacare is constitutional, whether it passes constitutional muster. So we're all waiting to see how the court will decide, one thing we already know however -- we already know it's bad policy and it's got to go."
Romney went on to preview, as he did at a campaign stop in southern Virginia on Tuesday, his response to the court's possible action on the law. The former Massachusetts governor said that if the law is upheld, he would work to repeal it as president, and if it gets struck down, he would replace it with "real reform." Romney did not specify what such reforms would entail.
Democrats quickly pounced on Romney's critique of the law, pointing out that the federal law was inspired by Massachusetts’s health care law that Romney helped to enact, complete with an individual mandate similar to the one he now assails.
“In Virginia today, Mitt Romney cheered for a repeal of Obamacare, which was modeled after Romney’s own health care law in Massachusetts that he now runs away from," Obama spokeswoman Lis Smith said in the statement. "But Americans won’t be cheering for Mitt Romney after they learn that his plan for health care would allow insurance companies to discriminate against them if they have a pre-existing condition, kick their kids off their parents’ plans when they graduate, and charge women higher premiums than they charge men for the same coverage."

Yes, but you had the same damn thing in Mass when you were governor, didn't you Romney? You're such a disgusting snake and cheap shot artist. I can't wait till you fall flat on your face.
Quite a stretch even for Willard's standards (whatever they may be) he has previously bragged about the President modeling the ACA after WillardCare in MA!
Does this idiot have anything to run on other then I'm not Obama?
Bring on the debates - I've got plenty of *popcorn* to go around! lol
BTW - I am still waiting to hear what their plans are to replace it with...
WWwow,
Mitt Romney, the biggest cheat and falsifier of write-your-own-facts in the Universe has the gall to say something about a President who has succeeded in so many ways, while being openly obstructed by an Opposition party that has tried so desperately to find something - anything - to impeach him with.
Even on his Inauguration Day, they pledged to obstruct President Obama's every attempt at economic recovery.
That would be "moral failure" in any language.
Meanwhile, even the nuns have gone after Ryan for his moral deriliction Budget, that Romney thinks is 'marvelous'.
Romney should NEVER , EVER talk about moral failure.
Willard on the 'moral high horse' (dancing)!...now that's funny!
Hey Tony!
Do you have your right wing troll repellent handy this evening?
I've heard the old nag does a mean "Black Swan"... just sayin...
Project much Mr. Romney? It is absolutely ludicrous for the king of outsourcing to talk about creating jobs.
Seriously, doesn't Romney talking about morals make you want to vomit?
So I've been thinking lately. Yeah, yeah joke away. But for real is this country losing its ever f$@king mind supporting this failed leftist? Seriously? How more apparent is his agenda of growing our debt through promises of more entitlement, more dependency, more free goodies to every meaningful voting bloc at the expense of the working class.
The chorus of me being a racist or citing "faux news" talking points, blah, blah, blah is sure to follow.
Really, is that all you have? Obama would be great if it weren't for all these mean people trying to make him fail (cause he's blaaaaack)?
How utterly pathetic!
If you haven't already seen the light. If you've kept you head in the sand and haven't paid attention to our political leadership primarily Obama's leadership then wake up because your kids future is being stolen away.
This guy is promising everything to everyone at a time in which we borrow 40 cent on every dollar. We (not me) elected this leftist who is hell bent on taxing and spending us into oblivion. You all know the Bush tax cuts expire at the first of the year along with new obamacare taxes ( as if ), and increases in capital gains taxes. Oh and by the way those bush tax cuts weren't just for the wealthy. Plenty of folks that paid no or little in taxes are in for a big surprise if this leftist joke is re-elected.
We are not going to support a "president" who wants everyone willing to get on the dole!
Now admit your mistake and correct it before any more suffering takes place.
November 2012 LET'S END THIS ERROR!!!!!!
He help get the money, he did create the Staple idea. He never created anything. Maybe draft dodging.
Of course, but i'm thinking that even they can't defend this one. So perhaps they'll steer clear of this with the exception of the severest mentally challenged ones.
oops, too late. Re reg Rob has arrived.
Yawn, whine all you want hot dog and carrot top.... Romney's right! His state wanted his version. Most Americans reject Barry's version!
This is what we are stuck with when MSNBC whored themselves out to Newsvine!
It used to be quality over quanity at FR - these days they'll allow any jerk-off to comment!
See the comment ^^^ lmao!
So where is everybody working on a defense for Eric WithHolder?
Give it up even some dumb-crats are voting contempt charges right now. How about that too bad WithHolder doesn't look like Obama's son.
Oh wait a minute, ahhh, never mind.
Resignation Friday please, Eric.
Hey there dumb fux! How's the medicated cream working? Still itchy?
Dear Chief Justice Roberts,
I can hardly wait for Thursday, to read your majority decision striking down the individual mandate and with that the very survival of Obamacare. We as a nation are at a crossroads. It's there for all to see. We all watched as Europe's entitlement explosion has pushed it into economic malaise and near collapse. Obama wants nothing more but to double down on these failed ideas.
Healthcare is a big issue and needs big ideas, big solutions. Pelosi, Reid, and Obama put together a pile of crap.
We as a country are so much better than this law. Hell Obama had to bribe congressmen within his own party to get it passed.
Listen I could go on and on about how awful this law is and how overwhelmingly other Americans agree but what is important is your opinion.
You are very well respected Chief Justice Roberts. The respect you have is far and away greater than what Obama has left. Obama during his campaign and even during the first couple month of his Presidency was afforded with great respect by the American People. He was certainly at the outset a dynamic, inspiring speaker. Unfortunately, being a dynamic and inspiring speaker only takes you so far.
Obama simply has not delivered the "change" we needed. His policies, timing were simply wrong. We were in an economic crisis and healthcare should not have been the priority. And hell if you're gonna make it your priority at least get it right.
Chief Justice please reach dee down within yourself and choose the precise words, penetrating, and resounding words.
Your majority opinion must be clear and must flatly state that Obamacare and Obama himself are just no good!
PS;
Justice Roberts please don't lay down when Obama goes after your Court. We have seen just how arrogant a man Obama is. He blames everyone for his own failings. I assume it is something he has done his whole life.
Again, it's one of those things that is there for all to see.
If he starts with you take him to school. He isn't half the intellect you are and certainly not half the man you are.
God speed.
Rob in MASS
When he was wearing his Governor head, Mitt Romney passed his very own Romneycare.
Governor Romneyhead ALSO adopted the individual mandate.
But Romneyhead today, calls the same policy a "liberal agenda".
Q. Does Romney have a bunch of different heads he wears on different days/every other Tuesdays?
And then forgets where he put them all, and what their respective mouthpieces said on his behalf?
Let's see ... Romney went into office in January 2003 and signed Romneycare in April 2006 - hardly the first thing he did, huh?
The economy?
Romney went in facing an immediate $650 million shortfall and a projected deficit of $3 billion in the next year. Through spending cuts, increased fees and removal of tax loop holes (most of that sound familiar) ... the state had surpluses of around $650 million his last 2 years.
Seems I heard he dropped unemployment too ... you got those numbers Tony?
But back to Romneycare ... Romney started looking at the issue after the federal government threatened to cut almost $400 million from the states Medicaid funding.
Something called problem solving.
Romney had to deal with dem big majorities in both houses .... but won them over, even gaining support from Ted Kennedy and dem leaders .....
Gosh ... pretty much the opposite of Obama's performance, huh?
The same could be said of you, but in all honesty, we don't have to "wait till you fall flat on your face."
You just did .... again (as usual).
Willard's existence was humanity's "moral failure"...
Mr. gone with the wind, or blown with the wind... I think president Obama should now only respond to Willard in one way, tell him to "go pound sand". dude can't understand more than that.
So where is everybody working on a defense for Eric WithHolder?
Rab - Here's something to gnaw on.
CNN is reporting that an interview (Fortune Mag) with 5 ATF agents involved in F and F ops, said that guns were never walked during the operation. This could be an interesting development....Stay tuned FR readers
Thanks for the update on that breaking news GT?
Now more than ever we really need to see what WithHolder and Obama are hiding!
Right on my friend! Sty tuned!
Red - This is what we are stuck with when MSNBC whored themselves out to Newsvine!
It used to be quality over quanity at FR - these days they'll allow any jerk-off to comment!
Pot meet kettle.
if you want the US to be the next stockton california vote for obama!
hussein is sure to bankrupt us!
Healthcare is a big issue and needs big ideas, big solutions. Pelosi, Reid, and Obama put together a pile of crap.
The crappy parts were originally Republican ideas. The only route that works is a single payer system.
The republicans always blame everyone but themselves.
Fast and Furious or whatever name it was going by then was started by Bush & the republicans. But instead of going after the ones who started the program, they go after Holder who ended the program.
Somehow Holder who ended fast and furious had some secret agenda to take your guns away but not the bush people who started it years before President Obama was elected. Then the republicans wonder why others think they are idiots.
VOTE FOR EDUCATION...VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT 2012
Rob, open you eyes and maybe just a little of that brain.
Look at England, it followed the very same policies that the republicans want here. We here in America got a stimulus and our economy is growing, even though slowly. England didn't get a stimulus and got the republicans total austerity plan and England is now in a double-dipped recession.
Think slowly now, which country is in better shape, America growing slowly or England in another recession?
Are tax cuts for Romney and his rich friends more important than our veterans, children, seniors, women's rights, education, jobs or America's economy?
They are if you vote for a republican
Feisty @ 1.1: "BTW - I am still waiting to hear what their plans are to replace it with..."
Sorry, you'll just have to wait for us to pass it to find out what's in it.
Here's an excerpt from the classist the left has to offer:
"It used to be quality over quanity at FR - these days they'll allow any jerk-off to comment!"
Somehow only her and those of like minds are allowed to speak. You guessed it, it's MSLSD's own Feisty Redhead. Really classy!
AF @ 1.25, Your deflecting. They don't "want" Holder except to do his job, uphold the law and turn over the documents. Do you really think that if the documents proved it was Bush's fault (their favorite tag line for 3+ years) that he wouldn't have handed them over? Come on, if the documents do not incriminate any of the Obama administration why withhold them and now claim Executive Privilege?
Feisty @ 1.1: "BTW - I am still waiting to hear what their plans are to replace it with..."
NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
Buy your own insurance with your money and I will buy mine with my money
AF @ 1.26. Actually the UK fought their initial recession very similarly to the Democratic controlled US government.
"The initial reaction was for central banks to slash rates. In the UK, the bank rate was slashed from 5% in October 2008 to 0.5% by March 2009. It wasn't enough to ward off recession.
The Bank of England's new firepower was quantitative easing - increasing the supply of money in the UK economy. The Bank created money and bought assets (gilts) from financial companies. That made institutions more likely to buy other assets such as corporate bonds (that makes it cheaper for companies to borrow on bond markets) and shares in the form of rights issues (that makes it cheaper for companies to raise money on equity markets). It all combined to makes companies feel richer and less likely to sack workers. It was also meant to encourage banks to lend more: [a 30-second guide to quantitative easing | Why the BoE won't directly give you printed money - yet].
Various other measures were launched aimed at encouraging lending. A £37bn bailout was shared by RBS and HBOS-Lloyds in October. Other money was lent to banks or used for debt insurance schemes. A third bank bailout of £30bn - for RBS and Lloyds - came in November 2009. Estimates of the total taxpayer liability then, including lending and insurance schemes for banks, was put at nearly £1.5 trillion. The Government hopes to get its money back once the troubled banks return to health. If not, it will be paid for by higher future taxes.
The previous Government also throw money at the recession with other temporary measures such as a stamp duty cut and a VAT reduction. A £2,000 car scrappage scheme expired in April 2010." Source: This is Money.co.uk.
Sorry Where exactly is your promised rebuttal ? And please by all means since you just read it bullet stopper post a link .
ideo.... @1.24: "The only route that works is a single payer system." That's Democrat code for complete Socialized Medicine. Who do you pay in the "single payer system?", why the all knowing, all seeing, all compassionate, and completely ethical Federal Government. The same folks that have brought you billions of $ in welfare fraud, medicare fraud, medicaid fraud, and hundreds of other frauds.
"Romney did not specify what such reforms would entail"
Doesn't this just say everything about the liar Romney?
Truer words could not be said. Coming straight from the horse's mouth and a horse's ass.
Romney has nothing. No specific policy plans, just platitudes, lies and generalities. The first debate with our president will finish him off. I cannot wait!
It is like Ron Reagan said this week: The Republicans cannot lay out their specific plans for our economy and jobs. Nobody would vote for them if they did because it is just more of the same supply-side, trickle-down economic policies that wrecked our economy in 2007.
And John Boehner has to call to get advice from an uneducated radio talk show host (Rush Limbaugh). Brilliant.
That alone should tell us all we need to know about Republicans and their idiotic representatives in congress.
THIS is the day. Republicans can NEVER deny their party is COMPLETELY WITHOUT HONOR! From McConnell over 3 yrs ago to Issa today and EVERY day in between. So obvious children see it. People that carry water for these people are in the truest sense of the word, fools. Not a true american bone in their bodys. Polarized to stupid. We have got to clean up congress. Money and special interests HAVE destroyed our politics.
And Romney has the unmitagated gall to talk about morals.
Bob (of many numbers):
What would you say about the following facts on Romneys governorship -
A windfall in capital gains tax revenue caused by a previously enacted capital gains tax increase reduced the deficit by $1.3 billion. Romney approved $128 million in tax changes such as sales tax from purchases on the Internet and raised another $181 million in additional business taxes in the next two years; businesses called these changes tax increases, but Romney defended them as the elimination of "loopholes". Over his full term, over $300 million of such loopholes were closed. The loophole actions, fueled by Romney's sense of rectitude in the face of conservative and corporate critics, initially won plaudits from legislators as an example of political courage, before Romney backed away from further closings towards the end of his term. The state also cut spending by $1.6 billion, including $700 million in reductions in state aid to cities and towns. In response, cities and towns became more reliant on local revenue to pay for municipal services and schools. This had the effect of causing property taxes to rise by five percent, their highest level in 25 years in Massachusetts. In 2005, Romney signed legislation allowing local commercial property taxes to be raised, which resulted in $100 million more in property taxes from local business owners.
In 2002, the state passed a capital gains tax increase that was scheduled to take effect on May 1 of that year. A taxpayers' group challenged the law in court, arguing that a tax increase must take effect at the beginning or end of a year, and in 2005 the Supreme Judicial Court ruled in their favor. The court held that the tax increase was effective beginning January 1, 2002, which effectively imposed an additional $200 million in "retroactive" state taxes on gains realized during the first four months of 2002. In response, the state legislature passed a bill moving the effective date of the tax increase to January 1, 2003. Romney signed the legislation and praised the legislature for its actions.

Romney's perpetual lies are the real moral failure.
Hey Mother - When is the last time you were in England? You seem to spout knowledge you know nothing about
My daughter married a Britt and lived there seven years - and I visited her often - her second child was born in one of the hospitals - total cost $150 pounds - the price I paid to have my first child in the US 50 years ago
Now you can rant and rave about socialized medicine all you want - but I venture to guess you don't even had a passport - only 30% of Americans do
However - I've been to Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Germany, France, Norway, Canada and some I've probably forgotten - and SOCIALIZED MEDICINE works!
So Mother of many - YOU ARE DEAD WRONG!
Typical Republican projection. Whatever your weakness is, accuse your opponent of having that weakness. Right out of Rove's book.
BAJ, world traveler. Oooooo, were so impressed with your travel. First of all I didn't spout anything. I believe that the "single payer system" is Socialist Health Care. Is that not true? Do you really believe that the US Federal Government could run a health care system of this enormous size? The countries that you list are quite small. If you bundled them all together and made one government body responsible then maybe we'd be able to compare the systems. Further, I learned from experience that he or she that's boasted the most is usually a liar. I bet you don't even have a driver's license. Only 30% of Barbara Adams Jackson's do. So Barbara Adams Jackson - You're full of S**T!
Okay Mother -
Small Countries
Great Brittain - 59 Million - add Ireland - 4.6M Scotland - 5.2M - 68.1Million
Germany - 82 Million
France - 63 Million
Italy - 62 Million Bundled - App 264 Million People - really shoots your premise down and I didn't even add the Scandinavian Countries
Really small countries? -
26 Million in this country are uninsured - 40 Million live below the poverty line
Now probably something you should know is that Medicaid has a 3% overhead of costs - versus our beloved Insurance Compinies - which range from 20 to 25% overhead
What else can I say except you know nothing!
And don't ever call me a liar - and I don't have a driver's license?
Well sweetie I really couldn't drive my Range Rover without one now could I?
health care without insurance is unavailable to middle and low income families. do some research and find out what a trip to the dentist costs even for routine care. my daughter was in excruciating pain due to impacted molars----no dentist would help her without up front payment. the cost of extracting 2 molars was $1k-----her insurance plan was called ''momma care''. majority of middle class americas will lose 5 teeth before age 50 due to lack of dental care. we need government funded affordable health and dental care ---let's join the civilized nations and put the health of our citizens ahead of the military budget. i need dental work and will be going to mexico --somes of their dentists are us graduates and the care is on par with us and cost 75% less. pretty sad that i have to go to another country to get the care i need.
Mother of many your making it way to easy. Stop listening to Rumney its really making you look bad.
Single payer DOES NOT SOCIALIZE MEDICINE. You have PROVIDERS just like we have now. What you lose is the INSURANCE COMPANIES. They are NOT a part of the health care system. THEY DO NOT PROVIDE HEALTH CARE.
So it is really INSURANCE REFORM and has NOTHING to do with the PROVISION of health care, ONLY THE PAYMENT.
Health Insurance companies take AT LEAST 20% OF EVERY DOLLAR and do NOTHING FOR IT. Getting rid of them ONLY SAVES 20% OF EVERY HEALTH CARE DOLLAR and changes NOTHING in the DELIVERY OF HEALTH CARE!
Rob in Mass....we're so glad there are people so much smarter than you in charge.
So true. Every time I hear a right-winger talk about how "dumb and uninformed" Liberals are, I get a chuckle.
This coming from those who wish our Constitution included dogma from the dark ages (religion). The same people who imply that a good education is a disadvantage (an educated electorate would NOT vote Republican). The same people who go about denying the legitimacy of evidence based evolution and climate change. Amazing.
It is obvious who the uninformed and easily deceived are.
Funny stuff, Willard! Personally, I always considered LYING LIKE A RUG a moral failure, but what do I know...
The Republican party needs to be spanked...and not in a good way.
WWwow,
The biggest cheat and falsifier of facts in the Universe has the gall to say something about a President who has succeeded in so many ways, while being openly obstructed by an Opposition party that has tried so desperately to find something - anything - to impeach him with. Even on his Inauguration Day, they pledged to obstruct his every attempt at economic recovery.
Willard's existence was humanity's "moral failure"...
Mr. gone with the wind.
Gotta hand it to you for your humour! The only significant thing he did is about to be negated because he even F'd that up miserably. I agree about him being obstructed by an Opposition party. But what makes it so pitiful is that it is his own party. Since he has become the worst prez ever his own party won't even try to pass his budget.
I am now convinced Romney's best chance of winning is to just stop talking....
Seriously a "moral failure"? It was based off of your state legislation.... Forget pandering... you suck at it when you alienate more people than you pander to including yourself.... policy? at this point i don't think you have any.... your just a figure head made to sign bills your party puts in-front of you.
@ bulletstopper
The CORRECT reason they obstructed was unhonorable politics. Nothing more, nothing less. As obvious as the nose on your face, republicans have brought a new and higher level of corruption to OUR politics. Wouldn't make me burst with pride. Obvious. Got to clean up congress. This money and special interests is going to continue to screw us even more if we let them. Need people that can not be bought, republican and democrat. WE can not trust either party, especially the republicans. Obviously.
Obama's biggest problem is his race. Personally, I am color blind. The problem arises with the fact that so many are not. Romney sure plays loose with the truth, but that is easy to sell to minds that are already made up. What will etch-a-sketch actually do if he wins?
OK Backhouse, why don't you liberals that frequent the DDI get together and put together a list of those items that illustrate the good things the Obama administration has accomplished?

@Dan,
Thank you for your post. It amazes me Obama has been able to do as much as he can against this obstructionism. If only those who 'hate' this POTUS, for what ever reason they choose to verbalize it; would actually 'see' the truth and respect him for all he has done. So much babble about "where are the jobs?" The jobs are sitting in congress in the form of the American Jobs Bill that congress will not allow to pass. I read today that some of it has FINALLY been passed, fortunately without the Keystone Pipeline. I would presume someone in congress said, "uh, if we don't pass something to help the American people, I think we might lose in November" DUH. Making Obama a one-term president is not actually something that will help the country, it's more like a very old mind set of ignorance and shame.
Mitt Romney lies about Obamacare.
10 Things You Would Miss About Obamacare
1) Access to health insurance for 30 million Americans and lower premiums. More than 30 million uninsured Americans will find coverage under the law. Middle-class families who buy health care coverage through the exchanges will be eligible for refundable and advanceable premium credits and cost-sharing subsidies to ensure that the coverage they have is affordable.
2) The ability of businesses and individuals to purchase comprehensive coverage from a regulated marketplace. The law creates new marketplaces for individuals and small businesses to compare and purchase comprehensive coverage. Insurers will have to meet quality measures to ensure that Americans can access comprehensive coverage when they need it.
3) Insurers’ inability to discriminate against people with pre-existing conditions. Beginning in 2014, insurers can no longer deny insurance to families or individuals with pre-existing conditions. Insurers are also prohibited from placing lifetime limits on the dollar value of coverage and rescinding insurers except in cases of fraud. Insurers are already prohibited from discriminating against children with pre-existing conditions.
4) Tax credits for small businesses that offer insurance. Small employers that purchase health insurance for employees are already receiving tax credits to encourage them to continue providing coverage.
5) Assistance for businesses that provide health benefits to early retirees. The law created a temporary reinsurance program for employers providing health insurance coverage to retirees over age 55 who are not eligible for Medicare, reimbursing employers or insurers for 80% of retiree claims. The program has offered at least $4.73 billion in reinsurance payments to more than 2,800 employers and other sponsors of retiree plans, with an average cumulative reimbursement per plan sponsor of approximately $189,700.
6) Affordable health care for lower-income Americans. Obamacare extends Medicaid to individuals with incomes up to 138% of the federal poverty line, guaranteeing that the nation’ most vulnerable population has access to affordable, comprehensive coverage.
7) Investments in women’s health. Obamacare prohibits insurers from charging women substantially more than men and requires insurers to offer preventive services — including contraception — at no additional cost.
8) Young adults’ ability to stay on their parents’ health care plans. More than 3.1 million young people have already benefited from dependent coverage, which allows children up to age 26 to remain insured on their parents’ plans.
9) Discounts for seniors on brand-name drugs. Pharmaceutical manufacturers are required to provide a 50% discount on prescriptions filled in the Medicare Part D coverage gap. Seniors have already saved $3.5 billion on prescription drug costs thanks to the Affordable Care Act provision.
10) Temporary coverage for the sickest Americans. The law established temporary national high-risk pools that are providing health coverage to individuals with pre-existing medical conditions who cannot find insurance on the individual market. In 2014, they will be able to enroll in insurance through the exchanges. 67,482 individuals have already benefited from the program.

Dan-2287140 That was one heck of a cut and paste; saves you a lot of leg-work.
I find it beyond interesting how one can just go to your favorite propaganda site and just do this the easy way like that.
Know why there are over 95% Democratic posts here so far ?
The Republicans are all out working. See you at the polls. We will be there as you well know, because close to 50% of all elections in this country are won by us.
By the way, where is the thank you for the food stamps and other benefits so many of you "utilize".
While you are at it, you can thank us for your jobs as well since so few people work for a Democrat. Too busy posting, protesting, and.....well you know......(puff-puff, hack-hack).
For all you deluded souls out there touting Bozobama's supposed accomplishments, he rammed those through a congress that had demlib majorities, and he even had to buyoff votes to get it all through, and with no legitimate way to pay for it, he's now sticking us, the taxpayers, with the bill, for YEARS to come. This inexperienced FOOL has done as much damage in a few years as that idiot, Woodrow Wilson, or Bozobama's first term, Jimmy Carter. He'll go down as one of the most failed and harmful presidents in history!
well, I think we can all agree that if anyone knows the face of moral failure, that would ne Mitt Romney.
AllthechangeIgotisinmypocket, your alias says it all. While over 92% of us are out working and paying taxes, you're counting the change in your pocket and obsessing about food stamps. While the stock market has nearly doubled since Obama took office, you're wishing you had extra cash every payday to invest some of it and share in that bonanza.
I will grant the Republicans huge respect on one thing though -- somehow they have convinced many poor and financially marginal middle class Americans that if only they would vote Republican, maybe they too can get a piece of the wealth.
You might be right that maybe 50% of Americans are dumb enough to fall for that and vote for the guy who has his hand in their pockets, the guy whose only business experience is breaking up U.S. companies and helping export those jobs to China, the guy who can't remember from day to day which lies he has told in which speeches or interviews.
Keep dreaming. Maybe your master will win and will let some crumbs trickle down to you.
I simply cannot believe a man who made millions off of destroying businesses and jobs, putting hundreds of people into unemployment lines, and lies about absolutely everything he says, cheats the government in taxes on millions in offshore accounts, has the unmitigated gall to call anyone else a "moral failure".
Here's what counts:
...the numbers for Bush's last three months. Between October and November, 597,000 jobs were lost; between November and December, 681,000 were lost; and between December and January, 741,000 were lost.
April 2012 marks the 26th straight month of gains in private-sector employment, for a total of 4.2 million private-sector jobs.
DJIA Dec 1, 2008 = 8149
DJIA May 19, 2012 = 12369
Dec 29, 2008 U.S. corporate earnings probably fell for a sixth-straight quarter, the longest streak in at least 20 years, as consumer spending on automobiles, homes and retailers collapsed.
May 11, 2012 Fortune magazine released its ranking of the 500 biggest US corporations Monday, which showed that they received a record-breaking $824 billion in combined profits in 2011, up 16 percent from 2010.
So someones provides a huge list of accomplishments and promises kept, and the BEST the right wing nuts can do is say "Well Well Well..... he umm crammed that stuf through yea"... What did you expect him to do? WHen he became president, the Repubs OPENLY said in front of CAMERAS their NUMBER ONE PRIORITY is to make him a ONE TERM PRESIDENT. This includes and is not limited to, voting NO on their OWN IDEAS just to make him look bad. I can never support such Hypocrisy.
And now you ppl have the terrible intelligence to vote for a man who lies SO MUCH, on record, and youre willing to gloss over that FACT just to get rid of Obama?? Youre willing to give the country to man who woudl throw you under the bus for coporate america, get rid of minimum wages, sell your jobs to china and india??
A man who just said Obama care is immoral..... yet is the SAME person who made ROMNEY care into law in MA, the SAME thing Obama care is BASED on???? Woooooooooooooooooooow.....
Is Romney a psychopath? (only 1% are violent and in jail, 6-8% are CEOs)
Or is he just a pathological liar?
A "moral failure"? Gee Mitt -- it's molded after your plan. So what's that make you??
Yes, yes I will. Now will the rest of you selfish misers get on board and join the rest of us who are investing in the common good already? Sheesh...
Yep, Romney figured that out several weeks ago. Why else do you think he keeps declining to comment or cite specifics?
LMAO!!! Let's see, Wilson was an intellectual, a Nobel peace prize winner, regarded as one of the brightest men ever elected to office, and whose legislative achievements are overshadowed only by FDR -- I can see the comparison to Obama and hence, why the anti-intellectuals of the right would hate him. Particularly when you compare Wilson to the Republican boobs who succeeded him who were rife with corruption (imagine that!), pushed a "pro-business" agenda of deregulation (no way!) and promptly ran the nation off a fiscal cliff within a decade (That doesn't sound familiar at all, does it?).
It took 2 decades and a world war to dig us out of that hole; lucky for us we won't have to wait that long, seeing how quickly the current administration and the people in his party managed to head off the downslide during the first 2 years of Obama's presidency. Now if only the GOP would quit complaining and do something other than stomping on the fingers of the middle class like they've been doing (or at least trying to do) since 2010, we might pull ourselves out completely!
Long tail, long trail. Willard the Rat.
Exactly. Hey, Willard, moral failure is the millions of people without health insurance and the insured paying for their ER visits and catastrophic care.
moral failure is what Romney is. When he's not lying, there are no words coming out of his mouth.
Apparently lying is ok with the Mormons so that is why Romney has no problem lying about everything, everyone, and every time.
Let's see how Mitt feels about his Supreme Court Judges after the ruling. I want to see him backtrack again, and I'm going to record it this time.
The Republicans nominating a Mormon is a moral failure!!!!!
Moral failure? MORAL FAILURE???
From the evil scion of a filthy-rich family that loves to fire people and hates to pay their fair share of taxes:
YOU HAVE NO STANDING TO CLAIM ANYTHING AS A MORAL FAILURE. What a disgusting, disingenuous, hypocritical BAG OF CRAP you are, Willard. AND your hateful, racist bunch of OLIGARCHS that you call the GOP and I call NEO-COLONIALIST CRIMINALS.
You are ALL GUILTY OF MURDER. My DEAD GIRLFRIEND will HAUNT YOUR CASTLE FOREVER.
Did I mention the GOP is DISGUSTING!
Hah! Hah! Looks like the wannabe "Ousourcer and Chief" Mitt Romney, is the "Moral-Failure", now!
As a once proud Republican, who Nolonger is proud of my Party, I encourage all my Republican friends, conservatives, Undecided Independent voters, and honorable Ron Paul supporters to Vote a straight Democratic ticket come this November 2012,
and send Mitt Romney, the "Outsourcer and Chief" and the Republican Party, back to the "Dung Heap of History" where they rightfully belong.
Remember they're the party of George Bush, Dck Cheney, and Karl Rove. You don't want to go "back-there", now do you?
Yes he did, but when he made this comment it was due to experience, something Obama lacks in! See the difference is that Romney has the ability to look at history and learn from the lessons that it has to teach. This is something that Obama has proved over and over again that he can not offer to the American people. As the liberal saying goes..."Long live the king"
Does your comment mean that Romney will use his history of sending American jobs overseas as his template for his presidential job creation policy? The reason Romney has zero chance of becoming president is that he is backed primarily by nitwits. What a great campaign slogan. Mark L. can be the "nitwit for mitwit".
Mark L, 3.7
More Kool-Aid?
JohnnyB-
Im sorry, is Romney running for President, or is Bain? As for jobs that went overseas... Products destined for American consumers were manufactured here at home, and jobs that you refer to were actually there to supply their territory, same for the call centers.
Ahhh, this is where you replace talking points from the DNC with fluff because you cant read that ink that smeared on your palm from all lines that your party feeds you...
Robin-
No, I don't want your Kool-Aid, in fact you have been hitting it a little hard, and now would be a good time to start cutting back!
Incredible. Every time I think Mittens cannot be MORE disingenuous, he takes another step down that crazy road.
Dear Mittens:
The individual mandate was a Republican contrivance during the Clinton's attempt at HCR. And it pretty much matches what you did in MA.
So if there is a moral failing...it is YOURS.
But, to be expected of someone who treated a dog the way you did, and of course selling a lame horse and not telling the buyer reeks to high heaven. And then there are all those people that lost their jobs so you could make another million!
Wonder you can sleep at night.
Newday: regardless if Romney orhestrated the original plan for HCR/Universal Healthcare, or if it was Hilary and Bill...whatever...I believe that the gov't doesn't have a right to mandate that its citizens purchase health insurance or be penalized if they don't. Here's hoping that SCOTUS will find ACA unconstitutional....all dog stories and lame horse stories aside...I think that I heard somewhere that our President ate a dog?
Ever heard of Flood Insurance, juanita?
By the way, Juanita: I sometimes post this, because I am always amused at what the right wing does not know about the history of the country.
In the very first Congress, it was mandated that employers of seamen buy insurance for them. That was MANDATED. It was signed by 20 framers of the Constitution...including one you might have heard of....
President George Washington.
Do you consider yourself a greater expert on the Constitution than those that actually wrote the thing? Is Mittens? We know that Roberts, Scalia, Thomas and Alito aren't.
Do read a book about your country.
LMAO NewDay I am becoming Intimately acquainted , with Flood Insurance . This week in Florida .
Good luck, carpenter, I know you folks are having some water problems in your area!
Juanita, you are right... the mandate is the issue and with most insurance companies willing to let anyone up to 26 be covered on their parents insurance, why force the mandate on those who can't afford it. It's a Constitutional issue and I believe the Supreme Court will act accordingly.
And yes the President eats dog. This surprised me too, another first for Obama.
newdog day, I read a lot of books on our Founding Fathers and American History. Please enlighten me with what you've read. I register my books on Library Thing and can easily cut and past my list..... so....?
Well Hurry then .
The List Ben The List . Just a small notification for you . Just because you Read it , Does not mean you understood it . Or took away the correct conclusions from it . BUT HEY show us your list so we can all bow to your reading list . LMAO ROFL .
Ben, I don't think NDD can or will respond. But I enjoy American History, especially during the times of our Founding Fathers. Great stuff and I have no doubt they would be outraged at what Obama's agenda is.....
Nice Cover there steve . So where is ben's list HE was bragging about ?
BenSnead: What possible interest would I have in any list from the library that you would send?
My library is extensive and private. I need NO help from you.
And more on mandates:
Two subsequent mandates from early Congress, around the 1790's. One mandated the purchase of firearms, the other, again for the Seaman, that they pay for insurance for hospitalization.
But since you read SOOOOO extensively, Steve and Ben, you both knew this, correct?
You guys are so good at throwing out the garbage with no facts.
Just what is the Obama agenda that has been so bad for you?
I know you think it is wonderful that the republicans refuse to tax millionaires and billionaires a small surcharge to put our people back to work to assist America to recover from the damage that the rich on wall street did to our country.
Starving children and taking from our wounded veterans to give more tax cuts to the rich now that is an agenda you can support.
What a plan, sell our government off to the rich and we can get half the services for twice the price. Why should anyone be outraged at that?
If you republicans though with half of your brains, you would not be buying the con job the republicans are playing on you.
Think about it. The millionaires and billionaires have hundreds of millions of dollars to spend to convince you to vote for the politician that has promised them bigger and permanent tax cuts and more deregulation. But these same millionaires and billionaires can't be asked to pay a small surcharge on their second million dollars to put Americans back to work.
You are so busy hating President Obama, you forgot to notice that the republicans are screwing you for the 1%.
Nice deflection of an honest request from Ben, NDD! Perhaps your 'extensive and private' collection is not real! Just like Obama's Hope and Change promise! Interesting!
Yes, of course, Georgie. And you knew about those early mandates too, right?
Of course you didn't.
newday mentions the dog on the roof. His name was Seamus, but in every interview with Mitt and Ann Romney, they refer to him as "the dog". They assure us he loved riding in a rooftop crate, and lived a long, happy life. Really? If I was questioned about a pet I had in the 1980's I'd be showing family pictures and I'd certainly call it by name. That's the way people are about their pets, who most consider part of the family.
And, while we're on the subject of morality (and character) how many of us have in our history an attack on a fellow student in high school, and forgotten it? Mitt was 18 when he led a group of friends in pulling a fellow student from his room, holding him down while the boy was screaming, and cutting his hair. Mitt gaffed it off as high school antics and apologized "if he offended anyone". He, of course, didn't remember the incident because kids do stupid things in school and tend to forget them. Even if that's true, are we to believe his character has undergone a complete turnaround in the intervening years?
@newdogday
And neither did you until you got your DNC approved talking points.
@mnpat
My dogs love to ride in the car and love putting their head out in the wind I would put them in the truck bed if I trusted them to not jump out. The dog was crated and fine unless it rained this is a non issue.
And your hero Obama made fun of an overweight girl and smoked dope like a chimney.
They are both human and flawed the point that should be made is either really worthy of the position?
For that matter is any human worthy of the position?
Of the two Mitt is more presidential and has a far better resume.
Obama is a mess I wouldn't vote him in for county dog catcher he might eat them.
So typical. I post facts and teabagger benr comes back with conspiracy. Just makes the current research true. Fringe right wingers have larger areas in the brain that controls fear. That is why they love them some conspiracy theories.
You will be disappointed to learn benr, since the right wing likes to posit that liberals have no money, that I own, train and show dogs that are involved in eventing. NO ONE in the club I belong to would transport an animal the way Mittens did or you do. Our dogs are in specially made harnesses that belt them into the car. My 10 lb dog has a car seat and harness made specially for her. If one of us had seen Mittens and that poor dog, we would have turned him in for abuse.
I also have horses, and there is no one despised more than the horse owner that sells on a lame horse to an unsuspecting buyer. If Mittens and Annie think that was fine to do, imagine what they will do to the country! All glory and gold belong to those two, you won't have a dime left.
Since you believe that what Mittens did was all right, tell us all we need to know about YOU!
I thought the health-care was modeled by Romney's health-care in Massachusetts...
I can't wait for the presidential debates... Brains against the wimpy flip flopper...
"Of the two Mitt is more presidential and has a far better resume."
Well, Ben, one of them IS President, and one of them is a professional campaigner. The pretender has never created jobs. He himself has had TWO jobs in his whole life. As one of the founders of Bain Vulture Capital, 25%+ of the companies he attacked eventually filed for bankruptcy, and the other companies he helped were outsourcers of American jobs. As Governor of Massachusetts, he was worse than every other U.S. Governor except two. That's right, just like his grades, he brought up the rear. How the hell people got the idea he can create jobs is beyond me. All he does is talk about it. Talk is cheap, Mr. Romneycare.
BISHOP WILLARD ( Mitt the TWIT ) doesn't have a CLUE.....
or he is LYING AGAIN out of BOTH sides of his face :
The mandate,
requiring every American to purchase health insurance,
appeared in a 1989 published proposal by Stuart M. Butler
of the conservative Heritage Foundation
called "Assuring Affordable Health Care for All Americans,"
which included a provision to "mandate all households to obtain adequate insurance."
IN THE FUTURE
I GUESS THE NUCKING FUTTY GOP OUGHT TO KEEP THEIR BIG IDEAS TO THEMSELVES
SO "COMMUNIST, SOCIALIST COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS" DON'T STEAL THEIR GREAT IDEAS
& GET ALL OF THE CREDIT FOR THE LEGISLATION...!!
BISHOP WILLARD'S ONLY SUCCESS in MASS. was his health care reform...
so NOW he is saying his whole time spent pushing that thru the Mass Legislature was WRONG ?
ETCH-A-SKETCH TIME AGAIN !!
Juanita,
I'm lucky enough to have health care through my employer although I do have to kick in $4oo a month.
People who don't have insurance go to the emergency room and eventually my rates go up to cover their bills. I think that's an unwritten mandate which I'll be glad to see end.
Benr,
My dogs also love to ride in the car and put their heads outside the window. The words "IN the car" not strapped on top where Seamus, or, in Mitt's words, "the dog", rode. You know, the dog who was so sickened by the experience his diarrhea ran down the back window of his car. Mitt's compassionate reaction - hose down the dog and drive on!
Obama made fun of the girl when he was in elementary school, so I'm guessing he was a few years younger than Mitt's 18 year old bullying incident. Further, Obama remembered his actions and regretted them. Romney denied his actions, or conveniently forgot them.
It just cracks me up to listen to flip-flop Mitt run his yap about Obama care. It's makes about as much sense as Colonel Sanders campaigning against fried foods.
Ssshhhhh! I'm listening to the vulture capitalist lecture us about morality
More Rat droppings! These GOP'ers like them.
Everything Obama touches turns to dodo.... haven't you libbies recognized that yet!
Barry.... you and Rompey are part of the delusional GOPteabag machine. Obama has done plenty to help the citizens of this country.... NOT that I ever expect one of the loonies of the GOPteabagnuts to admit it. They see the world thru blue and red spotted glasses LOL.
Thomas from Elgin:
If there was an award for "post of the day" you should get it.
Thanks for the chuckle.
I'm just hoping Thomas is from Elgin, IL!
I prefer Mitt's morality to Obama's! Barry's morality depends on the crowd he's trying to get money from..... he's the snake here I'm afraid. Romney doesn't need such tactics.
And Romney outsourced call center jobs to India while governor. Meanwhile his state went from 37th to 47th in job creation and he didn't even think about that Americans that maybe voted for him needed those jobs.
How moral of Mitt, sending our jobs overseas to save money for tax cuts for the rich.
Starving poor children for bigger tax cuts for himself, now that is the morality that a republican like Romney believes in.
Romney is so known for his extreme pandering to the crowd that they did a skit on Saturday Night Live about it. You need to pull your head out of the sand-pit.
Boy Rub, do you have your blinders on? Pandering is Mitt's middle name!
How can trying to provide healthcare to the uninsured and drugs for seniors be a moral failure? SHAME!
The irony is that those who don't believe in natural selection are the ones who propose the policies that accelerate the process the most.
I was just listening to the comments and questions by the Supreme Court. It suddenly dawned on me that if Obamacare stands we have a dilemma. We have no more free enterprise for sure. The medical field and the private insurance companies are in commerce to make money. The hippocratic oath is a joke when it comes to making money.
That being said, here is the dilemma. The supplier in any commerce situation depends on a good product and the demand for that product in order to sell that product and make money. Lots of money! The buyer buys the product when and if he needs it. Under the law proposed the buyer is going to be forced by the government to buy a product he may or may not need at the moment. They proponents are saying this law will make healthcare cheaper for all concerned if all have to buy the insurance. I say that unless the government that is requiring the purchase regulates the price, the cost will escalate, not go down. The healthcare industry being good commercial people will demand more and more money to obtain healthcare knowing that our government is going to force us to buy it. I mean if I was the insurance agency I'd love this law. My customers are forced to buy my product. What a windfall. I can charge whatever I want and go sip Mai Tais on my yacht most of the year while Doc takes care of my fleeced flock.
The court is not looking at this thing deeply enough. The merits of forced commerce versus the free enterprise is not being argued. All they seem to care about is talking about Congress power to create commerce or not. Commerce should be created by a free people and a free enterprise system of government.
Americans willingness to give treatment charitably has always been adequate to help even the most illegal of aliens and the poorest of our society when they need it. Thats done charitably by all of us by higher medical costs. We understand that and we are willing to do it...charitably. By forcing the poor to buy insurance is horrendous when we've been taking care of them for centuries with our willingness to help a brother or sister in need.
When you force me to buy a product when I can't afford it you take food out of the mouths of my children. I know my fellow Americans will help if I need medical help. Right now I just need a place to live and food on the table. Please do not force me to buy something my brother will buy for me if I actually need it. I'm starving already.
Excellent analysis and commentary Tennessee! I agree 100%.
I used to think I was a fairly liberal kind of guy, but after listening to these conservatives, I am quickly falling into their camp. My belief that folks should be protected from bankruptcy due to medical issues is mostly gone. My belief that all Americans should have equal access to medical coverage is mostly gone. I get the GOP/TP position .. I'm inadequately covered, so deal, which means kill 'em. And that is when I rebel against the Palin camp of kill 'em.
Let's bring in the Palin death camps, it is rather easy, no insurance, kill 'em. If you have been paying insurance premiums that the insurance companies don't feel like covering, kill 'em. Forty million without insurance coverage due to unreasonable premiums - kill 'em. Kids covered up to age 26 .. kill 'em. Kill 'em is the Republican plan. Let 'em die is the GOP/TP mantra.
I would like to remind you all these murdering bastards are responsible for the Holocaust. And yet there they are on front page news, touting their plan. These days, a vote for republican is a vote for genocide. So are you folks lazy Germans for genocide, or are you folks health care. The Palin republicans argue for genocide .. where do the rest of you fit?
**footnote - Germans agreed for universal health care.
So tell us Genocide Gem .. how many people murdered will make you happy this week? I don't want the numbers for the year..just this week.
So, tell me Tennessee who will pay for you and your family getting creamed by a semi while driving in your car for an Ice Cream cone for the kiddies? I know it's not your fault. Accidents happen. Does the semi have insurance? Who pays? We all do is the answer. Everybody pays. Like it or not.
Wow!!That's awesome,Red Devil! I hadn't thought of that. That will solve so many problems. Unemployment rate will drop. Less paid in SSI disablility and Madicaid and Medicare. Deficit drops. Lots of work for those disposing of the bodies. What a boom to the economy! Maybe I've been underestimating how smart Palin,Perry, and bush are.No more senior problem.
Tennessee
You really don't know much about the ACA do you? Some things you don't seem to be aware of: it expands Medicaid for those who can't afford it...it caps the amount insurers can charge...etc, etc.
And no, many poor people are going without treatment because people like you don't want to improve our messed up system on the slightest chance their own healthcare may suffer or they might have to spend more. Nevermind we already pay way more than any other developed nation on Earth.
The real controversy revolves around those people who CHOOSE not to buy insurance even when they can afford it and companies of more than 50 employees who don't WANT to make insurance available to their employees.
@pragmatist
Bullcrap I have had to take my daughter into urgent cares and the waiting room is full of people who won't pay for the care they are receiving. Which is why even with cadillac ppo insurance costing my $600 a month I still get billed $100-$200 dollars for just seeing my doctor.
Those that can pay already pay through the nose and those that can't afford to pay don't or are put on a payment plan no one is denied access to care it's illegal to do so in many states.
What people are failing to understand when government gets involved costs ALWAYS skyrocket!
WE need to develop a system where it is more profitable for private industry to keep people healthy than it is to have them be sick.
benr
Actually yes, health care costs are an outrage and yes, those of us with insurance still pay alot. Yesterday I had bloodwork done and the charge was $791 (!) ...how do I know? Because the company took my charge card just in case the insurance doesn't pay.
So you think what we have now is working? You don't think a private insurance approach to reform is a good compromise between doing nothing which you seem to support and a single-payer system which progressive want?
BTW, have you ever tried to get care without insurance? First, you are charged more; second, ALOT of doctors do not accept medicaid patients so seeing a doctor may be impossible; third, hospitals can and many do turn away people because they only HAVE to treat those with life-threatening conditions.
Tenn Man — "Americans willingness to give treatment charitably has always been adequate to help even the most illegal of aliens and the poorest of our society when they need it."
That is a complete pile of HORSESHlT!!!! If that were ACTUALLY true, there wouldn't be MILLIONS of Americans who are sufferring serious Health Issues who cannot get nor afford simple health care! Please remove you head from your rectum and OPEN your eyes!
bob - 18####'s -- You outdid yourself on this post.
Anything Bob may say outweighs anything you could possibly contribute Dont Carry it all...... am I right! You betcha!
Well now that we have to go there .. says Jim's sliver that goes in and out of his arse. Am I right? You betcha!
P.S. Mimicry is not pretty!!
Its a moral failure when poor people and even illegal aliens are forced to buy insurance when our charitable society has always taken care of them.
The poor need that insurance money to buy food and put a roof over their head. The rest of America may pay a little more for our healthcare in order to provide healthcare for those less fortunate. Some can't even buy milk for their babies. How are they going to pay for health insurance.
That new law assumes all can afford to buy the insurance when we all know that this is not free enterprise any more than social security was free enterprise when they voted that fiasco into being. I invite Obama to go visit the poor people who are on that lousy retirement program now and see how they are living. Stupid Government is as stupid government does.
Look the Knox News Sentinal just chimed in .
You are of moral failure if you sir believe what you say.
That huge fine is $100. for health care for the poor. It would cost more than that to go to the doctor 1 time.
How dare the democrats want to give health care and a value to all our people. I mean it is so first world and humane and christian to take care of the sick.
Surly America doesn't want to be known for those kind of qualities, right republicans?
Tell me how does ending social security for those poor old people like the republicans want to do going to make their lives better?
When has this imbecilic ever had any one in society step in to take care of him? Dream on baby, dream on. Guess what, I am sick and tired of taking care of your lazy ass. Buy insurance and quit putting your bills on me. I couldn't care whether you live or die .. in fact, according to the Palin and GOP/TP model, you should die. You want freedom from healthcare, so be it .. don't expect me to pick up your tab. Now if you want affordable health care, we can discuss that.
People who cant afford insurance coverage get assistance under the law. Please read the law.
How is it morale for poor people to keep having children they can't afford to care for and instead rely on taxpayers to raise their children? If some people can't afford milk for their babies, they need to stop having babies and put the babies they can't afford up for adoption. This law also covers women's preventative care at no cost, so hopefully the poor can use that to stop having all those babies they can't afford, unless birth control is also immoral in your delusional world.
I consider the decision by Pres. George Bush, Jr. to send our sons and daughters into two wars with no purpose to be "moral failure". What's your position on that, Gov. Romney?
Well Skip, I have never had the fine pleasure of serving. But while I was in France ,well, huh, well I supported the war and all the men and women that went. I tried to get the french to renter the same war that they gave up on. I was trying, you see, well to get them back in it. (smile, grin, @!$%#ty smile as camera fades).
Skip - I uh...I uh will get back to you after I'm elected....
Willard won;t leave them with money to buy food. There is a scale to the government payment. Just like medicare. You have been FUX Rubbed. Polished by Willard's rat droppings.

Sorry folks , we are not supposed to talk about Bain , Romney care or his time as Governator . Exactly what are Mitt's positions ? His Core values ? .. be careful pubs . this is loaded .
after 7 years - he'll let you know....after the election....
Corporate Raiders like Willard Romney have no morals. Romney cannot lecture us about them because he is the most immoral person on the planet: he sent our jobs overseas and then built 15 mansions using the money he stole from hard working Americans.
And thats my opinion
Here's a disconnect that absolutely defies explanation: Every repugnican talks about individual responsibility and dealing with their own circumstances like it's their national anthem. At the heart of the individual mandate is a thrust to get every American to accept responsibility for their own health-care. And it's not especially burdensome since the poor and those who will struggle with it will receive assistance with their rate. So if the teabaggers want individual responsibility and the ACA tries to establish responsibility and helps save the country money in the long term, where is the issue other than that it was signed into law by a black man. So is the issue the ACA or who sighed it? Explain this little disconnect.
Take any one of his speeches, and try to find some sort of unequivocal position in it on ANYTHING. You can't, because Romneycare will not put forth anything of substance. He dodges all questions trying to get a clear answer. Instead, he launches these homey little meanderings that he thinks will pass for a stance on an issue. Like this: "How do I feel about jobs? Gosh, we need them. I will create jobs. Once that is done, we'll look at the other problems, because, gosh, we don't want problems, and we have them. We want to solve problems, and gosh, I'm going to look at that."
Romneycare is like the dumb rich kid that was too lazy to read his assignment in school, and thinks he can just rearrange the words in a question enough times, and there's your answer! It helps if you are too stupid to realize it didn't work.
Isn’t it Amazing, you always hear the Republicans and TeaBilly Politicians Threatening to Reduce or Stop Payment on Unemployment, Social Security, Medicare, Food Stamps, Military Pay and Benefits , Etc. But have you ever heard of them Threatening to Reduce or Stop any of Their Pay, Healthcare and all the other Special Perks they receive (Paid for by our Tax $$$$$$$).
Lets break this down in simple terms. Republican TeaBilly Conservative = Self Righteous Hypocrite.
Ummm no, it was Obama that said if the debt ceiling wasn't raised they may not be able to send out SS checks a year back. Short memory there?
By the way….. I wonder if these Republican and Tea Billy Politicians think their Socialized Health Care that they receive, which also Includes “Birth Control” (Paid For By Our Tax $$$$$$$$) is Illegal and Unconstitutional?
Republican TeaBilly Conservatives are willing to ruin the Country and Sacrifice the Economy until they can get back in Power. Why do you think they have been the Party of No for so long.
Here is their Plan. First ya get da Money…..from da Lobbyist, Special Interest, and the Self Righteous and then ya get da Power. You Bet Cha……..Fer Sure.
Den it will all trickle down as dey say
NOT!
People are corporations, too!!!! Citizens United paved the way for the purchase of political office, and the bids are flying in fast and furious.
For $50,000, Romneycare will bring you to Mormon Heaven, Salt Lake City, and you can be part owner of your very own President. Of course, the Kock Brothers are pulling the strings, but you can watch.
Ohh and Hello to all my friends here, you know who you are .
How can you be the 1% and be broke? Maybe you are a Romneycare bagger? Did Bain Capital do a hostile takeover on your company, sell off the assets and ship your job to China? Cuz he is good at that. Job creation. Just not in America.
Obama should have worked much harder and much earlier mopping up BUSH'S MESS is what Willard just said
I wonder if Willard believes the republican agenda since the GOP gained a majority in the house and control over so many states is a "moral failure" since they've focused on everthing except jobs. The facts:
Limiting or eliminating woman's reproductive rights, including contraceptives; witch hunts against Muslims; busting unions; cutting taxes for the wealthiest and corporations; cutting programs that benefit women, the middle class, working class and the poor; defunding public broadcasting; defunding Planned Parenthood; repealing laws about light bulbs; stripping the EPA of it's ability to regulate polluters; defending DOMA; declaring English as America's official language; measures to reaffirm "In God We Trust" as the national motto; attacking AARP; cutting Social Security; cutting education funding; eliminating equal marriage rights for same-sex couples via a constitutional amendment; declaring financial martial law on cities and townships and taking over the elected government; returning to the Jim Crow era with voter ID laws designed to prevent millions from voting; rolling back child labor laws; drug testing welfare and/or welfare recipients wasting millions of dollars in a quest that amounts to an unconstitutional search of people who have done nothing more than seek help; witch hunts against the Attorney General, etc., etc., etc.
Those are the facts of the republican agenda, no jobs, everything else but jobs.
Oh yes, and since Willard insists on rewriting history and, well, lying, the president did focus on jobs and the economy and prevented a complete economic meltdown. He could not do what was actually needed due to, well, the do-nothing that might be a success for Preisident Obama GOP.
Babina - good post...the sad thing is the GNOPer can't handle the facts....
GNOP - THEY CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
I think if a Republican ever spoke the truth they might explode.
And if a Democrat would pull his head out, they might see the truth.
Talk, I posted the truth and facts. You posted a platitude. Seems to me only one of us is seeing the truth, and that would be me.
It is hard to see the truth through all the smoke the conservatives blow.
Very True @ Rob 99 One cannot clean up a Republican Recession FAST Enough .
If the mandate is struck, then so is the entire GOP agenda, since their agenda is to privatize everything forcing us to purchase products from private companies, e.g., Medicare vouchers and investing social security in private investment firms just to name two. Also, it opens the door for the government to sell Medicare for those under 65 and compete with the private health insurers with a public option, or it becomes the conservative nightmare, universal socialized medicine.
And does anyone really believe the private health insurers will stand by and lose millions of customers while being forced to insure sick individuals that will use the insurance based on the consumer protections in the ACA?
My understanding is there is no " Sever-ability " Clause in this bill , so it either stands or falls , as one . Not positive , but it sounds kind of like taking things away after its already been granted .
also i prefer the every citizen gets medical care option my self . Eventually we will move into the last century .
I would not have been that disappointed to see it struck down for one reason only. It would completely have taken the wind out of Romneycare's sails. He always has that 'Repeal Obamacare' sign on his podium, and now he would have nothing to talk about except jobs, and since he has never created any jobs, it would make for quick speeches from the empty suit.
"I'm going to create jobs but I'm not going to tell you how. I'm also going to cut taxes, increase military spending and reduce the deficit, but I'm not going to tell you any details about that, either. You just have to trust me that I'm not going to be a failure like the guy that helped avoid total economic ruin caused by Party Boy Bush."
The Republik party is on the hook for the shambles they made of the economy during Pres. George Bush Jr's. administration. They are squirming extra hard to get off the hook, but it ain't going to happen.
You know, I just don't get it; conservatives call providing health care a 'moral failure'. I'm sorry but my God would give a person his clothing if they needed yet the so called conservatives and right wing would take the shirt off a person's back if it means they get an extra shirt. The same (conservatives) would kill people they disagree with (you don't see liberal causes resulting in human casualties usually). So what is it that makes the right wing feel they are so good?
Sorry, right wing, your God is NOT my God, my God is about caring, sharing, your God is greedy and self-serving.
Well said Ken . Almost restored my faith in people , Almost . WELL said , none the less .
Obamacare is a moral failure......and a financial failure......and an idealistic failure......and a healthcare reform failure.....and a total failure....much like Obama. I hope the Supreme Court does the right thing.
Moral failure?? Trying to provide affordable healthcare to millions of people who cannot afford health insurance is a moral failure?? Let me tell you what a moral failure is: starting 2 wars that last 9+years at a cost of 2+trillion, no funding for that war, tax breaks instead of paying for the war, 6000+American soldiers in caskets, 12 times that in Iraqis, 20,000 servicemen with limbs missing. Sadam gone so that a vacuum is created in that area of the world and guess who surfaces?? Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Thankyou George Bush, Dick Chaney, and Donald Rumsfield for an even greater MORAL FAILURE. And Rep Paul Ryan say that the reason we are in so much debt is because of entitlements to Americans?? Cut 6 trillion in entitlements over 10 years with NO tax increases?? How many Americans would be affected by that MORAL FAILURE??
So nice to hear some truth once in a while. OBAMA 2012!
and don't forget, HILLARY in 2016!
The Supreme Court did the right thing. I know you are going to gripe anyway.
Moneyos1, your picture proves you not old enough or smart enough to make those statements
