President Barack Obama and presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney remain locked in a tight contest, with each candidate displaying significant strengths and weaknesses four months before Election Day, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
For Obama, he runs stronger than Romney does in the key swing states, and he holds a strong base of support among young voters, African Americans and Latinos. What’s more, the president continues to be personally popular.

This photo combo shows President Barack Obama in Chapel Hill, N.C. on April 24, 2012, and Republican presidential candidate, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney on April 18, 2012 in Charlotte, N.C.
But in the past month, the public has grown more pessimistic about the state of the U.S. economy and the country’s direction. And two key parts of Obama’s base – young voters and Latinos – aren’t as enthusiastic about the election as they were four years ago.
For Romney, key Republican groups – including the Tea Party – have begun to rally around the former Massachusetts governor, and he has the opportunity to capitalize on the attitudes about the economy and nation’s trajectory.

Yet he largely remains a largely undefined figure, and his favorable-unfavorable rating is still a net-negative.
“If the election is a referendum on health care or the economy, the odds work to Romney’s favor,” says Democratic pollster Peter D. Hart, who conducted this survey with Republican pollster Bill McInturff. “Obama is the odds-on favorite if it’s a referendum on the personal aspects.”
Stable numbers after another unstable month
After another eventful month in American politics – the disappointing May jobs numbers, the unsuccessful gubernatorial recall in Wisconsin, the economic uncertainty in Europe and Obama’s recent immigration announcement – the Obama vs. Romney race is essentially unchanged.
Related: NBC/WSJ poll: More would be pleased if health law ruled unconstitutional
In the poll, the president leads his presumptive challenger by three points among registered voters, 47 to 44 percent, which is within the survey’s margin of error.
Last month, Obama’s edge over Romney was four points, 47 to 43 percent.
Also in the current poll, the president’s overall approval rating stands at 47 percent (down a point from May), and his favorable-unfavorable score is 48 to 38 percent (which is essentially unchanged).
“It looks like a dead heat on a merry-go-round,” Hart adds. “The position of the two horses has not changed.”
Obama is ahead among African Americans (92 to 1 percent), women (52 to 39 percent), Latinos, voters ages 18-29 (52 to 35 percent) and independents (40 to 36 percent).
Romney leads among Tea Party supporters (94 to 1 percent), whites (53 to 38 percent) and men (48 to 43 percent).
And the two are running even among seniors, Midwest residents and high-interest voters.
Speaking in Virginia, Mitt Romney offered his first public response the Supreme Court decision on Arizona's immigration law saying the Court had to weigh in because President Obama "failed to lead." On the health care decision expected Thursday, Romney said if it's ruled unconstitutional, Obama "wasted" most of his first term.
The swing states: Obama’s lead and Romney’s decline
Another place where Obama is running ahead: the swing states.
Among swing-state respondents in the poll – those living in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin – Obama leads Romney, 50 to 42 percent.
Also in these swing states, Romney’s favorability numbers have dropped, possibly reflecting the toll the negative Obama TV advertisements are having on the former Massachusetts governor in these battlegrounds.
A month ago, Romney’s favorable/unfavorable score stood at 34-38 percent nationally and 36-36 percent in the 12 swing states.
But in this latest survey, his national fav/unfav score is 33-39 percent and 30-41 percent in the swing states.
In addition, the poll shows that attitudes about Romney’s business background – a frequent target in Obama ads – also are more unfavorable in these battlegrounds.
Related: NBC/WSJ poll: Six in 10 say Obama inherited current economy
Among swing-state respondents, 18 percent say what they’ve seen and heard about Romney’s business record gives them a more positive opinion about the Republican candidate, versus 33 percent who say it’s more negative.
That’s compared to the national 23-to-28 percent margin on this question.
“It’s been more of a problematic month from May to June for Romney,” says McInturff, the GOP pollster.
Down on the economy and nation’s direction
But it’s also been a problematic month for Obama when it comes to U.S. economy. According to the poll, 49 percent say they’re less optimistic about the economy after what they’ve seen, read and heard in the last few weeks, compared with 43 percent who are more optimistic.
What’s more, 53 percent disapprove of the president’s handling of the economy, which is up one point from last month.
And 61 percent believe the nation is headed in the wrong direction, a three-point increase from May.
Still, another six in 10 believe that Obama inherited the current economic conditions, and 51 percent say the U.S. economy is recovering rather than not recovering.
Yet, asked whether the president’s policies have helped or hurt the economy, 33 percent say they’ve hurt; 32 percent say they’ve helped; and another 32 percent answer that they haven’t made much of a difference.
What also has to concern Obama and his campaign is enthusiasm, especially among key demographic groups.
The poll shows that Democrats are showing their highest level of interest in the presidential election this year, matching Republicans on this question. But the internal numbers also find Latinos and young voters aren’t as interested as they were four years ago.
“The president has an enormous stake in turning out 18-29 year olds and Latinos,” McInturff says.
A largely undefined Romney
Meanwhile, the challenge for Romney is far different: create a stronger impression with the American public.
Although the poll shows that only 6 percent of respondents don’t know who Romney is, just 20 percent say they “know a lot” about him, versus 43 percent who indicate the same about Obama. (That said, Romney’s percentage here is comparable to Obama’s when he was running for president at this same point in 2008.)
In addition, a majority of Romney supporters – 58 percent – say their vote is more against Obama than for Romney. That’s compared to a whopping 72 percent of Obama supporters who say their vote is more for Obama than against Romney.

Public Opinion Strategies
“He’s a known name but an unknown person,” Hart, the Democratic pollster, says of Romney. “They just haven’t related to him.”
When respondents in the poll were asked to say the first thing that came to their mind when thinking about Romney as president, 43 percent of the answers were negative. The top examples: wealthy/favor the wealthy (12 percent), bad/disaster (7 percent), out of touch (7 percent) and women’s rights/abortion stance (5 percent).
By contrast, 40 percent of the answers about Romney were positive, such as good businessman (10 percent), change (10 percent), conservative/for smaller government (7 percent) and improve economy (5 percent).
For Obama, 52 percent of the open-ended answers for him were negative: economy (15 percent), lack of experience/incompetent (9 percent), Obamacare (8 percent), high unemployment (6 percent) and broken promises (6 percent).
Another 44 percent were positive: good leader/doing good job (10 percent), for the people (6 percent), health-care reform (5 percent) and fair/honest (5 percent).

Public Opinion Strategies
The NBC/WSJ poll was conducted by live telephone interviews of 1,000 adults (250 by cell phone) from June 20-24, and it has an overall margin of error of plus-minus 3.1 percentage points.

This is where the rubber meets the road and Presient Obama is rolling right over him where it counts!
Willard will look like a two week old dead possum on 11.7.12!
I still say, once the debates start, these polls are going to open up even more!
Good thing I have plenty of *popcorn* on hand...
Math does not care about Republican or Democrat. The math shows that Obama is creating more than a trillion dollar deficit every year.
And for what? Do you see any of that money? Didn't think so. You feel it though every time you go to the store or the gas station and pay for things with your inflated dollar.
Romney 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not looking good for 0bama.
Feisty, are you making threats?
Are you drinking?
Feisty,
You are right. It is all about the electoral count, not the popluar vote. Swing states look good for Obama today.
Which explains why the usual suspects are pissier than usual today!
They can drag their precious Rasmussan poll from thread to thread like it means something... lol
Bottom line is, it's the electoral vote that matters and they are about to get some serious payback for the 2000 election...
I get it now *popcorn* is feisty talk for the sherry you swill all night while blogging for 0bama.
It's hilarious to see the crazies hold on to Rasmussen. Rasmussen is nothing more than a Murdoch push poll. If you pay attention to Real Clear Politics you will see the Rasmussen numbers gyrate willy every time Gallup or another poll shows a positive Obama number. When Bloomberg put up an outlier poll number Rasmussen immediately put up a 6 point jump in disapproval the next day.
It's early . When the debates start President Obama will clean thus guy's clock.
"Bottom line is, it's the electoral vote that matters and they are about to get some serious payback for the 2000 election..."
I'd almost like to see Romney win the popular vote and President Obama win the electoral vote just to listen to these republicans scream, whine and cry.
Charlie,
That would be a true spectacle.
But be nice, I would not want to see those tea party guys cry in public.:)
A dead heat? Fiddlesticks, BS and rubbish.
The news media want's all of us to think it's a dead heat race, only because it sells more soap.
don't bother dumb fux... the old gal is smart enough to know the outcome, but drunk enough to pretend she doesn't!
What a surprise MSNBC'S #1 Slave Feisty, has the first comment.
Pathetic, I can believe that I used to call myself a liberal. and worse then that I voted for Obama, what happen to the good old Democrats like Bill Clinton.
I guess it would be Romney 2012
Polls are as useful as sandpaper toilet paper.
What do you expect from a person in Roselle, IL...it's right next to mobbed -up, gang-infested, corrupt Chicago. Besides polls are meaningless, what matters is election day when we send Obama packing.
Note: The even poll is based on Registered voters. Last month Obama had a 2 - 4 point lead in the same kind of poll. At that time, those polls are saying that if Obama can get his base out, he wins. Now it says he ties. That means he still loses because in the event of a tie, the HOR votes, and it is controlled by Republicans.
Exactly Feisty! BTW, why so secretive about those tax forms Willard? But not to worry RWNJ's! The GOP'll have Willard performing as well as Palin did during her debates. Uhhhhhmmmm,.......sorry for bringing that up connies.
Let's see where all yer money is parked Willard,.....and why.
OBAMA/BIDEN 2012
And the incumbent is over 50% in which poll?
Feisty, always one of the first dumb cnts to post........
Does NBC IM you telling you to get off your fat ass and post right before they publish?
You must be the one drinking. I didn't see anything that resembled a threat. If you did, please point it out. Otherwise, go back to the Jungle Gym and play with your little friends.
Do you kiss your kids with that mouth?
*ass meet hole*
At least it will keep him from his computer collection of kiddy-porn!
I didn't realize they gave Jerry Sandusky internet access...
Whatever happens, it's going to be close, probably closer than the media is portraying it. The poll they used had democrats outnumbering republicans 42%-38%. It shouldn't be a surprise that it would have Obama ahead. What I do find surprising is that he isn't ahead by even more.
An incumbent tied with the challenger is not exactly good news !
Try checking some history .
To others , I will worry about Romneys tax returns when I see Obama's school records !
I heard that Obama and Napolitano are trying to hire Jerry Sandusky, as head of the TSA
So, (again)- we get to choose between a tweedle-dum and a tweedle-dee.
What else makes headlines? Republican, democrat - just one big joke.
Got news for you folks - NEITHER gives a cat's a$$ about you. Pathetic.
Yawn.
Mittens isn't actually popular among the GOP/Koch party and the longer he's in the public eye the smellier that fish becomes.
All you idiots who are jealous of Romney's success answer this question for me. Would you rather have a homeless person elected so he has no successes to point to? Would that you feel like less of a loser? Or are you stll stupid enough to believe Obama is going to give you a house, a car and someone elses money to live on?
Ok Tyler lets get something straight. If you are going to suspend people for violations then do it for all not just some.
Second if you are going to be the monitor do your job .Why are people's comments being deleted for no other reason than political retaliation. You can't have it both ways do it all or get someone else.
Let's cut
OtisElliot a break shall we?I think the little guy is reaching out for a public intervention! lol
Just how much will the Republicans have to spend to buy our government
Will Willard even agree to debate the president? No one says he has to. Would be in line with his pattern.
Everything changes once the debates start. Romney has been avoiding most questions and only providing vague answers. That strategy has never worked well for him in debates... has everyone forgotten about the recent primaries?
Obama/Biden 2012!!! Let's keep America headed in the RIGHT DIRECTION!!
Where's that, MOSCOW? END THE ERROR in November. I believe Feisty is really Moochelle Obama.
Absolutely Feisty! And hopefully the Repubs/Teabaggers have plenty of diapers on hand......they will need them.
...and for what? Perhaps to avoid what is happening in Europe, where Greece and Spain are in a Depression like state.
This has been a global economic downturn, and in reality, despite the complaints of many Americans, we are doing better than many other economies.
I agree with those who say Obama looks vulnerable. But not with those who feel somebody else would have turned the economy around over the last 3 years.
...and Obama has one big advantage. He is running against Romney, who may be both intelligent, and a good and decent man, but in public appears to channel every smarmy rich kid you ever knew in High School.
He may yet win. But if so, it will because the economy is so bad, and because Obama has made his share of strategic mistakes.
Basically, what he's saying is that if Obama has to run on his record, he's toast...but if it's a popularity contest, Obama has a better chance of winning.
If ObamaCare is repealed as unconstitutional, Obama should not only lose in Nov...he should be immediately impeached for trying to force every American citizen to buy a consumer product to be an American citizen in good standing.
Fiesty:
Clearly you are getting more and more worked up about the inevitable failure of YOUR Socialist in Chief. Your posts are becoming more pathetic, contrived and contain more spin than ever - you clearly have more than popcorn on hand!
But don't be sad. You're boy is coming home in January! Maybe you can help him community organize the sh**-hole city you live in. Another job he was a complete failure with! Chicago - your chance of being murdered in some areas of Chicago is higher than that of Afghanistan. Gee, and Chicago is a Democrat city. Just why are the cesspools of our country Democrat? Oh yeah, because the government keeps telling those people that they can do things better for them than they can do for themselves!
Romney 2012!!! Getting America back to being America
Yes, once the debates start its over for Romney.
Left - Right who cares? Come 12-21-12 if you didn't buy a 1 billion dollar ticket. It won't matter who the president is. You saw the movie. You have been warned.
People who are not independent voters, are shallow & narrow minded.
Obama 2012 ... even though it won't matter.
Is it just me or does it appear Obama's hair is getting greyer by the day?
Do you think its "Fast and Furious" and The House voting on whether to Cite Holder for Contempt of Congress tomorrow?
Didn't Obama previously say it was pathetic for administrations to Use "Executive Privilege" for frivolous reasons to try and cover up stuff they don't want the public to know about?
Oops my bad He was talking about Other Administrations. His is the most transparent Admin in history. Its Bush's fault.
Do you think it might be caused by SCOTUS announcement yesterday about Arizona and Obama ordering ICE not to cooperate with Arizona Authorities or or the DOJ setting up a 1-800 number batting people to call and claim there rights have been violated?
What about the Rights of American citizens to feel safe in their State, Home, Community, etc.?
Could it be that SCOTUS will be ruling on Obamacare tomorrow or Thursday and Obama and the Democrats have been telling us for 2 years now that it is Constitutional?
How inept and utterly incompetent will it look for a "Constitutional Scholar" and all those Democrats Lawyers to be wrong if they rule Obama-care or parts of it are Un-Constitutinal after they spent 13 months writing the law while completely ignoring all other responsibilities?
Could it be the bad May jobs report and unemployment going up by .10% to 8.2%, .3% higher than when he took office 3.5 years ago?
There's 5 more monthly unemployment reports and the next one will be in a week or so. What does it say about your policies, 3.5 Years of Policies, and your re-election is riding on just five jobs reports?
How about that Arab Spring? Muslim Brotherhood now controls Egypt. IO though the MB promised the west they wouldn't run a candidate in the Presidential elections?
Syria Maybe? Obama showed China and Russia at the G20 summit in Rio didn't he? He left with, um, yea...
Maybe its the calling for independent prosecutors to look into the White House security Leaks?
What do you think is causing Obama's Hair turning Grey?
The #1 question though is does Fiesty think it makes Obama look Hot?
Fiesty said:
Yes, the polls will open up even more in favor of Romney with the debates. Obama, in his suit and begrudgingly worn American flag pin, being able to read off a teleprompter, and clearly not understanding a word he is saying, no longer impresses Americans. He obviously still impresses you - you must be getting a pretty good dole check!
Americans will no longer allow this traitor of a President to be "king" of the country!
Undefined Romney???? He doesn't know his @ss from a hole in the ground. Rain Man. Mr. Robot. Is this country going to buy into his line of useless crap?? C'mon people. This isn't what we need or want. This man is a bigger puppet than Bush was.
tstrucker,
If the homeless person had not sold out the American public for their own personal gain then yes, I would vote for him over Romney as Romney has shown that he will sell us out for his own gain.
For the record, I don't need President Obama to give me anything, I work for all I need. I'm voting for him because of the two, only the President has a plan that he has enough confidence in to tell us, the American people, about.
Charlie said:
You mean when the debates start and the Reader-in-Chief doesn't have a teleprompter? Obama will be crushed by the intelligence, knowledge and understanding of business and politics that Romney has. Odumbo clearly has none of that!
Wow...... nice evening of golf, then this! OMG....could you liberals look more like a bunch of.... Well since its very in to say it.... vagina's! I know your nervous ... Thursdays possibly a very very bad day. But hey what the hell they could uphold the bill, all that worry for nothing. Win lose or draw.... this priceless stuff is worth the price of admission. Man the battleship sure does have port side big enough to scribe the emancipation proclamation on!
yosolo and Fiesty:
Actually, MSNBC is not competion for Fox News. NOBODY with an IQ over 60 watches MSNBC, so there's no competition.
And clearly, Fiesty is what you say. And her avatar - I didn't even notice the reference to Fox News, I just thought it identified her - News from a Dumb Fux!
Dum Fux is irrelevant. Nuff said.
The liberals are sticking with their sinking ship. The past 2 weeks have been devastating for Obama. This week could prove to be the straw that broke the camel's back if the SC slams Obamacare. Arizona was a slap in the face for Obama and his reaction to that decision was very telling. Everyone needs to take note as to the punishment Obama has issued Arizona. If a state goes against the narcissistic, sociopath they can expect retaliation. What a guy! A true American... NOT! A born leader... NOT!
Anyone who thinks Romney is going to do well in the debates against Obama need to put the crack pipe down and understand that Romney has never had a consistent, cogent thought in the years and years he has tried to become President. I'll give you Republicans this, he is a scary guy - simply because he is so out of touch.
yosolo:
I shouldn't have said that no one with an IQ over 60 watches MSNBC - that's not fair. I really should have said that they are just not relevant in the news business. They don't have many viewers, and they are clearly biased to the left. I know that some on Fox are clearly biased to the right - but I understand that. But overall, I believe I get the best sense from the various commentary, opinion and news on FOX to know what is going on. Occasionally I even browse CNN, CBS and ABC for the truly left side of things.
A thoughtful and intellegent person listens to both sides. Right now, I know that Obama has done his best to destroy this country - and he and his policies scare the hell out of me. So although I am not goo-goo over Romney - he will be a 100% improvement.
I just want our President and country to again understand it's position in the world - and it is and should be number #1!
This man is no American, in any way.
@yosolo- I watch MSNBC, CNN, FoxNews, The Daily Show, and The Colbert Report. Between the networks, Fox and NBC, they are both equally biased. I, personally, enjoy the websites more. Fox has just more likable characters, but they spew lies and edit soundbites just as much as everyone else. If you don't believe me, watch The Daily Show. Jon Stewart picks on them like it's nothing. The thing is, people like Rush, Hannity, Beck, or any conservative radio/show host, they stir the pot of republicans to make them believe things that may not really be going on. Same as any liberal host. They just have less ratings.
Obama won the last time against McCain because he got Bush to blame. This time Obama has to show his performance has head of the Nation and
campaignerCommander in Chief, a performance that no president want to show. Our economy is in IC room getting the wrong prescription. Pretend that he is going to do what he couldn't in the last 4 years to solve the nation problems is just more lies, beside economy , immigration is another example of mishandling, pure ideology , pure politic, Obama is not the President for all Americans, never was. Killing Osama is not enough to be reelected, Carter in the same situation will do same.NO HOPE NO CHANGE.........NOBAMAThe Number One issue of our time is not immigration, jobs, Iran or even the economy. The number one issue of our age is LIBERTY, and the Constitution that protects that Liberty.
Liberals - in essence the Democrat Party - has declared a War on the Constitution, in word and deed.
No longer do they respect separation of powers and the checks and balances ingrained in the Founding document. A radical leftist President ignores the Constitution to ignore the rule of law, and create legislation by decree; and doing so outside his prescribed written Constitutional authority, usurping the Article I legislative powers of Congress. These are but the most recent examples.
The Liberal assault against the Constitution goes so far as to call for an END to the Constitution. The radical left, championed by this President, feel constrained by Limited Government, and are suggesting now that the Constitution be eliminated in favor of a new form of government.
Obama and the Democrat Party. They are running AGAINST The Constitution that has served this nation well. It is a theme and a scheme they dress in false words, but the intention is clear.....
Romney 2012 - Believe In America!
Uh Oh.... another FIRST POST by Feisty, and then she launches into personal attacks and name calling.
Tsk tsk... Where OH where are Sally and Tyler passing out suspensions for violations of the code of conduct!
But since Feisty is a probably an MSNBC employee, or part of the DNC, I guess Tyler and Sally have their marching orders to ignore Feisty. You see, Feisty has the first post in 90% of the First Read articles, something basically impossible to do if you're just the average Joe.
Even complaints to the Newsvine.com website, reporting Fiesty's conduct as a "malicious user" don't warrant any action. But I'll post another complaint tonight. I suppose I can understand why would MSNBC want to muzzle their own lapdog? MSNBC's goal isn't really to report the news, but to spin it.
How interesting!
same dum fux on here thinking that whoever gets elected is really going to do them some good, you all will be at your comps in four years waiting in line to suk off the next dum politician that steps on the scene with something good to make you talk about while they line their pockets with all our money the whole time thinking "wow how do these people come up with the stuff we say, all im doing is trying to get some air time?"
wake up sheep, your headed to the slaughter.
@David Noah.......Fiesty has her head so far up Obamas a$$ she can't tell what he looks like.
Hey John- perhaps you skipped over the post where they called Feisty the C-word first. I think one of those derogatory terms quite heavily outweighs the other, ya think?
While many of you are arguing who would be better, Obama or Romney, you are aware that neither has a real say in the direction the U.S. is (has been) headed, right?
Regardless, whoever wins, it doesn't matter. Things will go on as usual.
A weak economy and this is all the support the opposition party can muster? What does this say about what people think about the opposition's ideas? Actually, what ideas?
My view is the economy collapsed under the Conservatives and it hasn't improved all that much under a liberal president and a Tea Party Congress. Maybe, just maybe, the economy transcends petty politics?
Collapsed under the Conservatives???!!! What color is the sky on your planet? The Democrats controlled Congress since 2007- you know, that moron Barney Frank? Idiot Pelousy? Buffoon Kennedy? Weasel Harry Reid? I find it hilarious that they claim it to be a close race when Romney hasn't even announced his running mate- if it is Rubio, it's game over for Obama. He is a miserable failure and Biden is a putz.
Obama has alienated all the big spenders that bought his election (unions, Wall Street) so now he is begging for money from the same morons that voted for him and expected him to give THEM money. ha ha ha ha
Romney in 2012- send Obama back to community organizing in his cesspool of Chicago.
The fact that we had a democratic congress since 2007 is true. Also, when Ted Kennedy died, that seat went to a republican. That then gave them enough to filibuster. Then you have the most filibusters used by congress, ever. honestly, just because you don't like Obama. You choose to vote for Romney, when he hasn't even given us any credible ideas for when he is president? Great idea.
@harley- There is no war on the Constitution. In the Constitution, it says the president can use executive powers, if needed. This is the time when we need it because Congress has been doing nothing. He has followed much more of the constitution than most of the presidents. If he has not followed the constitution then he would have to be in front of congress explaining himself. Much like LBJ did, when he set an attack on Vietnam to start the war, without congressional approval.
There is no compromise for this congress, they've said it themselves. Even though, this president has used republican ideas with his democratic ideas. But just because Obama is put in front of it, it's socialist...
Fisty? You kidding?
No, I don't think she is, and that's the sad part...
Such divisiveness will get us no where. We need to clean house on BOTH sides. They all need to get booted out so we can start from scratch.
You can stick a fork in BHO, he's done... finished! What is even more important is that the progressive/socialist agenda is dying a slow death... thank God! Coincidentally it's death knoll began the day carrot top and bev from Chitown announced they were progressives 'and proud of it'. Thanks gals... you don't know how much we appreciate your efforts!
The country will soon start moving in the right direction again.... but who knows how long it will take to unwind Barry's onerous policies?
You can stick a fork in BHO, he's done... finished!
LOL!!! Yep -- you repubs were saying the same thing abut Clinton in 1996.
Must be the water in Memphis that makes you delusional. Guess you didn't read that Obama has a 4 point lead, the same as last month. So that means your man Mittens hasn't gained an inch of ground, although he's been entirely on the offensive. That means his message ain't gettin' through to many new folks. He may have shot his wad.
you mean the one's he's been unwinding after 8 years of the Bush/Cheney debacle? Yep, there were many knots in that ball of twine.
Hiya Tony!
I noticed the troll night shift has shown up for duty! lol
Look familiar?
Check Jimmy Carter's numbers over Regan four months before the election.
Some T-Shirt ideas I'm kicking around..........

Got any others my Progressive friends?
Yep. Same old, same old. Nothing but nonsense.
If you're here to brag about St. Ronnie, at least learn to spell his name correctly.... it's REAGAN. Personally, I prefer RAYGUN, but that's just me.
Sure do:
Vote Romney, someone in China or India will thank you.
Vote Romney and these guys win (a pic of Trump as Moe, Nugent as Larry and Limbaugh as Curley in the classic Three Stooges profile. You have to include the theme song as well)
Beautiful Tony!! I say we print them!!!
I can't afford nobama any more and I don't like romney. I don't want either one of them. We need to clean house and start from scratch.
say TonyB, your unusual fascination with hot dogs reminds me of the character Ed Helms plays in Hangover.... it seems you might be a little jealous of him eh? lol
On a political note, polls don't matter to anyone except for fund raising. Historically though, the numbers that Barry has, as a sitting President don't look good for him or the progressives... horrible in fact! And that makes me and a lot of other people happy! Enjoy chomping on your 'hot dogs' Tony, not my style but I'm not judgemental!
Oh the kids with thier clown faces and baudy stupid posting photos are really in high gear. Working almost as hard as the Narwhal room and NBC to make us think there are enough fools or should I say fooled people left to give Obama a run at finishing off our country and getting to burn our Constitution. Dream on! All those illegals he just have work permits to in order for them to take what few jobs there are available can't vote. Neither can their illegal parents. His suspending law enforcement from checking for citizenship was the last proof needed for many that he would put through total amnesty the day after he was elected. At least that is what he wants them to think. But then the first thing he was going to do last time was shut down Gitmo, instead lots of tax bucks are going to renovate it so I guess that means it will remain indefinitely. Oh yes and he was going to turn the economy around in two years or be a one term President, well at least he was right once.
Romney may not be your candidate of choice but no vote is a vote for Obama. Remember in NOvember ABO.
MITT ROMNEY! The best chance the United ( divided under Obama) States has!

Last week, under Obama, the Federal Reserve again downgraded expectations for economic growth and the Labor Department revealed there are nearly four unemployed Americans for every new job opening.
MITT ROMNEY IS THE BEST PERSON FOR PRESIDENT. Absolutely.
@Willing.Sniper - MITT ROMNEY? LOL! You people are the same fools who voted George W Bush into office.

On and on, and on.
Citizens ask in November if your better off after 4 years and $5 trillion in new federal debt?
HONEST PEOPLE SAY "NO".
We need to move on, and up, get a new person in office! Mitt Romney.
SteveH, I noticed the same 'characteristic' in tonyb. He and carrot top would make a nice couple, both are ugly and insulting and neither has a intelligent thought! They do like to stir $hit and sit back and laugh. Two of the FR favorite turds.... but their sqeaky voices are getting dimmer and dimmer... can't wait until November when the air will be clean again!
If the election is a referendum on healthcare or the economy? No ifs about it. Barry, start packing your bags.

You need to check your demographics again homey. 2012 and 2016 are likely to be the last chances for the GOP to win the big one unless they change their platforms. The GOP has effectively alienated every major demographic except rich and middle-class white people. The old are dying off and the rich won't be too convinced when Mitt outsources the few jobs remaining-IF he wins. By 2020, if we still have a country, the GOP might as well just phone it in. The Monty Burns generation is passing away, thank God. And the repugnican party with it. It pains me to think that I once embraced this bunch of nazi control freaks.
So NBC/WSJ has Obama ahead by 3% (47% to 44%), but Rasmussen has Romney ahead by 2% (47% to 45%). I wonder which one is right?
Let's compare records;
In 2008, Rasmussen was #1 in accuracy on the Presidential race - getting it almost exactly correct, while NBC/WSJ was #13 out of 20 in accuracy. Link below;
And let's also look at the result for 2004 - Oh, yes - Rasmussen was #1 in accuracy again - getting it almost exactly right once again.
http://www.politisite.com/2010/08/06/poll-accuracy-in-the-2008-presidential-election-rasmussen-pew/
One of the biggest differences is that NBC/WSJ polls 'Registered Voters', while Rasmussen reports on 'Likely Voters' - which creates a typical advantage of about 4% to the Republicans when comparing actual voting results. For example, in the 2004 elections, polls of Registered Voters had Kerry ahead by 2%, but polls of Likely Voters had Bush ahead by 2% - The actual result was a Bush win by 2.5%.
Also, NBC is so blatantly in Obama's camp lately that they have little credibility.
Poll Accuracy in the 2008 Presidential Election
Rasmussen Poll MOST ACCURATE. Look for yourself.
Poll Accuracy in the 2008 Presidential Election
Rasmussen Poll MOST ACCURATE. Look for yourself.
If my calendar is correct it is June 26, 2012, not November 2012. You all might want to remember that little fact.
Rasmussen has been proven the most accurate in all elections; proof is how they polled during the last Pres election.
Obama outsourcing our jobs away.........
Obama campaign uses company with operations in India and China to book travel
Anti-citizen Obama strikes again.......
That Rove prick deserves a damn comedy award for lifetime achievements. "He backed "the wrong son," as his mother and father said and "I" that Romney dip @!$%# wins I believe that Bob Baffert will enter a French Poodle in the Kentucky Derby next year.
NBC/WSJ poll ? I would not trust this poll as far as I could throw it.
Therefore, I did my OWN POLL on Main Street America with the following results:
The undecided came from the streets of Chicago.
So how much of a lead does the President have in the swing states in the Rasmussen Poll fellas? You guys do realize thats what counts right? Not the popular vote?
Fiesty,
You missed one in post 2.5.
They think George Zimmerman is a good guy.
Glad you like it so much. Hope you didn't get anything on you while you were enjoying it, lol!. And you don't seem to be too intelligent, but I'm not judgmental either.
I really think that when the biased, leftist press says that Romney is within a few points Obama is in a serious pickle! I also think that people who compare Obama now with Clinton when he was running in 1996 should really compare him with Carter! Obama has ignored the wishes of the majority of the electorate (this means those who do not live in liberal enclaves on the coasts), has governed by presidential edicts instead of in tandem with Congress. (Don't even try to blame the Republicans in the House, there are hundreds of bills passed by the House and just left twisting in the wind by the democratically controlled Senate!) The vast majority of the U.S. electorate are not idiot, mind-numbed, Obama worshipping fools and will be able to see around the nasty, lying, truth-bending liberal attack ads that will be filling the airwaves for the next few months.
It will be a true breath of fresh air when fly-over country votes out the most destructive president in our history! Then we can finally have a country which is governed by the constitiution and not a petulant man-child with a massive socialist chip on his shoulder!
I just figured I would be a good guy and look it up for you fellas. It appears as though according to the oh so accurate world of Rasmussen polling that President Obama currently has a 3 point lead in the combined states of Virginia, Ohio, Florida, and North Carolina. Maybe that lead has to do with the good economic news they are getting in these states that Mitt doesn't want you to know about...
"Got any others my Progressive friends?"
ROMNEY: "I Can TOO Fire Citizens!!"
? strange comeback tony 'hot dog chomper' bearm (wink, wink)!
Don't give up your day job little boy... and by the way you should find legal employment someday, look what happened to your buddy JS! yikes!
The First Read trolls are out in force... where is the monitor?
They are sounding more and more like obama's TV ads, attack and distort... and avoid the truth at all costs!
Romney/Rubio for real Hope and Change and to stuff a sock in the progressive's mouth!
Phine - How you doing up there? As you can see, I have survived the worst of it but it looks like it is heading your way. We are still having bands of rain and wind gusts. The good thing is that it has cleaned out the trees of dead branches - bad thing is that my neighbor found a baby Blue Jay that he is trying to keep alive. Must have been blown out of the nest.
Stay strong and best wishes from one cancer survivor to another.
When you have to stack a "poll" this favorably towards "Strong Democrats" just to get "only" a 48% DISAPPROVAL of Obama's job performance you are finished.

Sotajet "So how much of a lead does the President have in the swing states in the Rasmussen Poll fellas? You guys do realize that's what counts right? Not the popular vote?"
Yes, you are correct - so let's take a look;
After adding up the 'likely' states, Obama has 216 electoral votes, and Romney has 207 - a total of 270 is needed to win. Now let's consider those 9 'swing states';
According to Rasmussen, Romney has a slight lead with 4 of them (Ohio, Iowa, Florida and Wisconsin) with 63 electoral votes, giving him the needed 270 electoral votes, Obama has a lead in one state (New Hampshire) with 4 electoral votes for a total of 220 electoral votes.
There are 4 states where they are tied or there is no current polling (Virginia, Colorado, Nevada and Pennsylvania) for 48 electoral votes.
What's likely to hurt Obama as the election approaches is the trend, where Romney is gaining each month and Obama is declining each month - a month ago, Obama had a distinct lead in many swing states, but that has now disappeared - After Obama's 'Amnesty' announcement for illegal immigrants, his support took a dive.
Last I heard, Obama was winning Florida. I mean I live in Florida, the only ones that are anti-obama are rednecks here.
If Mitt Romney and Jughead are in a dead heat, Jughead should be very worried, he should be miles ahead right now.
@ GOPisextinct Here is a better idea for a t-shirt
Elect Romney- Get off welfare, give back the food stamps, get out of section-8 housing, get off your arse and get a job
You are right Michael. Dead heat is not a good news, if you see polls from the past is Obama who is losing ground and Romney moving up. if the trend continue no more Obama. Obama had an awful month, his short celebration for the rule of the SC over illegal immigration will end soon, with a defeat over an unconstitutional, unpopular law, ACA pass without reading the bill. Now this bill can go to the bathrooms of the Congress where member of Congress can read it use it and toast it.
sjm
Yes there are rednecks there and everywhere we all are rednecks
I do love a drama queen--but take it easy on us. Ronnie Reagan didn't walk on water. Carter shrunk the size of the National debt, kept us out of wars, and introduced the concept of energy independence--while Reagan tripled the National debt by bloating the military to it's insane size and budget. Stop pimping that Fox News/Karl Rove drama
Liberals can invoke the spirit of their ancestors and fight for true freedom, once again. Massed together in shabby blue coats in a ditch or behind a tree or fence, fighting to make men free. That's all we can do. And, that's all we need to do. They can spit lies and hate at us, but at the end of the day, we are fighting the good fight.
Romney and repubs have no plan...except to take the economy down as they pledged.
The first economic plan from the republicans ...was to blow up the economy so president Obama would not have a second term. Newt said it was the first seed sown for the 2012 election. 14-15 republicans secretly met the dat after Obama took office to pledge to vote against every bill that would help the economy recover. They pledged this saying they wanted him to be a one term president. They pledged to take the economy down just to destroy the presidents plans for recovery. Bin Laden wrote down the same plan and executed 911 to take the economy down to destroy the nation. These repubs, Ryan, Cantor, DeMint, and Gingrich pledged to act like the Taliban, to act like the insurgents do,(their own actual words) to prevent President Obama from a second term. Acting like the supreme terrorist of all time Bin Laden. Traitors. Deliberately sabotaging the recovery. Ref Richard draper new book.
Ryan repub Plan...Kills socoial security and medicare. Repubs want to destroy the Post Office and privatize that also.......Take down America and give more tax breaks to the rich 1%. Romney for a worse tomorrow tomorrow.
Vote President Obama/Biden 2012
New poster 2012 the year the Jeffersons got evicted. 2012 ABO
Ohhhh poooor Fiesty....finally facing reality. Obama = history and epic fail.
Let's see ..... Obamacare, GSA scandal, Secret Service scandal, 23
other Federal department investigations, Fast & Furious, Higher taxes,
Solyndra, High unemployment, No Federal Budget, Under-the-table deals, Suing
states for enforcing Federal laws, SCOTUS, More regulations, No voter ID (?) endorsed, Shovel Ready Jobs that never materialized at the cost of billions of dollars, Black Panther voter intimidation, No Keystone pipeline, Massive deficit spending with NO RESULTS, Over 5 trillion added to the national debt, No plan for anything except the "Buffet Rule", Speech after speech with no follow-through, and on & on & on.
Is this the direction our country should be heading? Aren’t we a
better country than that?
GPOisextinct,
Here's another T-shirt idea for you, and its actually true.
"Obama 2012
Let's destroy America the rest of the way and create a Socialist/Communist state and I'll be the dictator"
Thing is, Romney's platform is still "I'm not Obama." And every time he does screw up and actually take a position on something, it's a flipflop. He's just not going to get away with nuance and pivots when the debates come. Obama is not going to let him get away with it. The one-on-one debates will be a lot different than the clown shows of the primaries. That kind of slapstick only works with the tea-baggers.
Obama and the DOJ cover up of the Fast and Furious information to help Congress find the truth and find out who is responsible is a travesty. This is being done probably because Obama and/or some of his top cronies knew about Fast and Furious. Its much worse than Watergate where no one got killed.
Impeach Obama.
Anyone that can support Obama with his deplorable record and the horrible economy that is resulting from it is an idiot. He is going to lie his way and try to get re-elected like he did four years ago. Unbelievable!
Sigh, I dont like Obama, never did. I dont really care for Romney either.
I REALLY dont like Obama, so i have to vote against him. Problem is, Romney is the only one that stands a chance at beating Obama.
This means that to keep Obama from being reelected i have to vote for Romney.
Sigh.
People on the Right just don't get it and honestly will never get it, We don't like stupid and every time you people try to show us that you are not only affirms that you are, what do you people think would have happened if Obama did not pump all that money into those programs he did, like Unemployment along with the extensions which your Representatives were against, our Government would have failed the first year of his term, now why in the world would We trust a bunch of idiots that have no idea what does work or won't work. We as Democrats see you as cry babies and the only way you can win is to steal this election like Bush stole it from Gore.
The majority of people have already made their decision. Now we get to see just how corrupt the electoral college system is, and how effective the Pubs voter suppression efforts have been.
Given the current snapshot, Obama has it.
I'm curious as to where the point is at which voters watching TV just get just so fed up that the massive Koch&Co money backfires on them.
I don't watch TV, so admittedly, I am outside of that influence. (iNet only)
Enough Now people,
Or vote for Gary Johnson.
In the old days we used to figure out which one was lieing the least. That was what we real voters did. If your a die hard party voter, you don't qualify here. Now a days it isn't so easy. You got National things going on. You've world things going on. We have a large debt that will go on.
Now a days it isn't so simple you have to listen to what the Candidate is not saying or refuses to talk about by saying I'll have to look at that WHEN I get there. When they use words over and over again: I'm appaled, That's disgusting, and apply it as a standard answer to almost all topics. If they refuse to answer a question that is because they don't want to get caught in a costly LIE to them selves.
As staunch a Republican as my father was was, even he didn't vote for Nixon. As for me, he taught me not to follow the crowd blindly. Since I came from a Republican state I regestered myself a Democrat. Now don't get your panties in a wad, I have vote for as many Republicans for congrees, governers, senators over the past because they were the right person at the time. Selecting a President is not a sporting event, Dedication to the Home team is one thing. The question here is, which team are you dedcated to, the party, or The United States of America?
He is presumptive because he can't get the votes to make him bonafide with his own constituents. Now if his own won't recognize him then what does that tell you? They are willing to settle for the bottom of the barrel.
"Rasmussen has been proven the most accurate in all elections; proof is how they polled during the last Pres election."
What are you smoking?? In 2008 Rasmussen had McCain winning Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Indiana, Colorado, North Carolina and Florida. President Obama won every one of them.
How can you choose when they both suck..
Charlie-1915998 "What are you smoking?? In 2008 Rasmussen had McCain winning Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Indiana, Colorado, North Carolina and Florida. President Obama won every one of them."
What are YOU smoking? None of that is true. Rasmussen had Obama comfortably ahead in those states in his last polls before the 2008 election. If McCain had actually won those states, he would be President, and no pollster projected McCain winning.
He/She/It isn't kidding, just ignorant. I wonder why the name change. Did He/She/It get booted by MSNBC (not likely)? Maybe he/she/it believes that we will think there are two with the same ideas?
One of the biggest problems with Romney, is that he's a political coward who will say anything he thinks the group he's speaking to wants to hear, but will never take a stand on anything. One day he's pro-abortion, another day he's pro-life, then a third day he's pro-abortion again. His words are meaningless to define where he stands. Same goes with the healthcare debate, he talks about Obama-care, but then he was MA govenor when they passed a similar proposal.... When a lot of campaigning is based on selling one's self, and words are part of the delivery; it does little when one's word becomes so cheap, people can't really believe it when it's given...
Then onne takes this entire election, it's vote against Obama or vote against Romney, there's nothing to vote FOR. And the Supreme Court didn't help this matter with their Citizen's United decision, which they shoved in the face of MT with yet another recent ruling. They've only served to compound the problem here... Gee whatever happened to the very old ruling from that same court that said the right to vote doesn't just give citizens a right to chose among 2 candidates, it gives them the right to vote between 2 REPRESENTATIVE candidates. And that it's the political parties obligation (hell duty) to present those representative candidates. That has never, at least not in recent years been followed. These 2 quacks, who are more like 2 peas in the same pod in oh so many ways, are about as far from representative to "we the people" as anyone can get.... This is really the non-choice, which is more a formality, because regardless of which quack is voted for, we'll get more of the same regardless...
Summary of campaigns:
Romney - Believe in America
Obama - Hope you still believe in me...
I know who I choose.
Romney--Kolob or bust. WWJSD?--What Would Joseph Smith Do?
I have no idea what Mitt would do really, if he were elected President. Right now he's all campaign speak, with no real plan that I can identify as solid to bring things back. Keeping the tax cuts for the rich doesn't count. If that worked, we'd be out of the recession right? Mitt going to have to give me some thing I can see. I can't believe that someone who is under employed, or poor would vote for this man. He has no idea what's going on in that world. Since he wants to do away with most health care plans, he doesn't even seem to want you to stay healthy.

Obama/Biden 2012
lol! Geez SS, someone opened the gate at the troll farm.
Still in denial. What will it take for Progressives to open their mind to what their eyes see?
The fact of the matter is that no matter who wins, people will still complain about what they are doing in office, which I honestly get tired of hearing and reading. Nobody has any idea what these guys go through on a daily basis even though you think you do because you read a couple articles and got an 'A' on your Constitution test. Maybe some of you guys should run for office since you obviously know the solution to this nation's problems. It doesn't matter what they promise or what they do, they will never be able to fufill each promise they make. I'm not sticking up for Bush and I'm not sticking up for Obama, but I did vote for them. I will put money on the fact that a percentage of the people voting for Romney will complain about him a year or so down the road, because he didn't do something people were whining about. The presidents can be just as much of a problem as we the people are, because alot of these issues did not start while in office. We will be the cause of our own failure, so instead of whining about which president should win the race why don't you grow some backbone and find the time to research potential solutions to these issues, find resources to assist you, and talk to whomever you need to talk to to get the ball rolling. JESUS it's like those people who cry and whine because they're out of shape or overweight, yet they do not step one foot outside to do something about it. Let the presidents do their job, if you don't like it too bad you voted for him, even if you didn't I DON'T CARE, start working your ass off to get to their position and run for office, instead of sitting there writing what they should be doing, or what you would do if you were president.
All Hail Obama.
Ruler, Master, and Overlord, of all you Republicans, Conservatives, and crazy-wacko Teabaggers for the Next Four (yes! 4) very long years.
Looks like Undecided Independent Voters have finally figured out what the REPUBLICANS and MITT ROMNEY are "up-to", and it's Not a pretty-sight!
ROMNEY and the REPUBLICANS want to DESTROY the WORKING and MIDDLE-CLASS.
VOTE a Straight DEMOCRATIC ticket to STOP the REPUBLICANS and the OUTSOURCER MITT ROMNEY from OUTSOURCING JOBS and DESTROYING the WORKING and MIDDLE-CLASS.
God Bless you! and Ain't Life grand?
Romney is taking a calculated risk, and probably a much smarter one than you realize. Failing to delve into specifics about policy plans limits the opposition's ability to attack you. Once the debates start up, we'll see to whom that risk pays dividends.
MITT ROMNEY! The best chance the United ( divided under Obama) States has!
Mitt Romney: President Obama Has The Wrong Priorities
June 26, 2012
Mitt Romney 2012 - Mormon Magic Underwear For Everyone! (To keep the evil spirits away.)
Tonybeerm - didn't know there were that many cockroaches around! Sheish! But, what can you expect of Romney followers!
Have a good one!
The only reason the people are so "divided under Obama" is from all the racist loons running around flailing their hands in the air spreading more and more lies. Every single member of the Tea Party looks exactly the same. Middle aged, overweight, and white. I certainly wish more people would argue Obama's policies if they didn't agree with them, instead of making up random crap i.e. (birth certificate, past girlfriends, yadda yadda) If you hear a lie long enough and often enough, it starts becoming true. "A lie will spread around the globe twice before the truth even gets its pants on." - Mark Twain
Agenda 21 is on Obama's plate so read it and weep....all of us need to be concerned on this one....The UN's '93 resolution in Rio to take over everything and create a dictatorship over all nations period. Sorry folks its not fiction!
Redsoxrule, I have only one thing to say.... You could write all of the speeches by Obama for the entire campaign season. Just copy down what Romney says and then have Obama say the same things and the press would praise the "forward-leaning" Obama and call Romney a moron. Simply BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you quote where the press called Romney a moron? I think he's very good at what he does best - enriching himself. The rest of us can just take creative destruction and LIKE IT!!!!
Well, We know what Obama has done. Practically nothing in his
campaign promises. ZERO...people.. ZERO.
Where is the transparency? Out the Chicago window.. LOL
Like you thought he told YOU the tuth. :) Remember the Poor destitute woman in Michigan after the election in 2008? She wanted her OBAMA MONEY. Guess what she was duped, just like EVERYONE else who foolishly casts their vote for Obama.
If he (OBAMA) wins. I will not pay taxes, period. Just like the celebrity who said they would leave america if Obama lost.
Ohh btw, have you noticed how the influential people are LEAVING our USA? Tenfold increase.. why? They know that Obama hurts them. He says let them pay, yet HE hasn't paid for anything. How nice.
Go ahead and vote for the golden chalice(obama). You were fooled once, why not twice. Don't forget your choice when YOUR life changes for the WORST.
Call me a scaremonger, but you haven't a clue to what's really on the table.
joz....the rich are leaving the country because they are traitors evading taxes......
and ...who pays the share of taxes for the rich traitors leaving the country....YOU DO! You vote for the repubs who give tax looholes and tax breaks for the rich. like Romney and his offshore bank accounts.....
You won't pay taxes if Obama wins..........Good....My ex boss didn't and I got $10,500 plus reward for turning his ass in. Cheated me on pay and insurance....They collected over $200,000........Send more your name and address......IRS will be waiting!....My life changed for the better!
Well...at least the left-wing whackos own one thread in this forum...lol
Conservatives offer you a one-way ticket back to the Dark Ages. If this doesn't appeal to you, I suggest you explore other options.
We are locked in a recession for bout 2 more years. I was watching a Sunday Morning weekly news show that had on both dems and reps. What was amazing is both sides were in agreeance that they didn't think to much more could be done and that the recession had to run its course now. It is really good to see both parties agreeing but on the down side, it is the issue they were agreeing on. It would be nice to see them agreeing on more things when this country is doing great.

"I have no idea what Mitt would do really, if he were elected President."
Nobody knows. He won't answer any questions or give any specifics. He's been for/against/ for/ against just bout everything over the last 20 years. As a friend says -- if you asked Romney his favorite color, he would think abut it for a week then tell you plaid.
But -- he won't win anyway so it doesn't matter.
His constant flip flopping is because he's essentially a coward. His being pro and con on everything over the last 20 years, should perhaps be a clue that his word means nothing, because essentially he'll only say what he thinks people want to hear, aka lie....
There is one thing one can delve into however, or the media could if they wanted to bare it out. His record as MA govenor... Because whereas his words are meaningless, and his policy stances are either non-existent, or all accross the field (depending on who he speaks to), lieing as he might with words, wouldn't leave his own past time as govenor of MA out of the picture. Which is preceisely where to look, for how he might do things. Exactly wrt what he has done, when he was the chief executive of a state, before.... Programs he was behind in MA and supported or helped create, might be what he'd do on a national level. In absense of any comittment this way or that, it would be fair to use MA as a model for what he might do on a national scale... Certainly where his time as govenor helped shape those aspects of the state he lead as gov...
58% of Romney support is based on dislike of President Obama. His strategy of keeping mum on any specific policies or practices makes sense since his support is not based on rational thought.
And 92 percent support by blacks is based on rational thought??
Here's one better,99% of Romney supporters don't like Obamy!
LoyalTexan:
Actually the number of Romney supporters that dislike Obama is approaching 70%. We don't like his record, we don't like his ideas, we don't like his policies, we detest his appointees, we are fed up with his lies and we are looking for a change. Does that sum it up for you?
Loyal Texan
You are right! Romney doesn't need to share his vision of America and how he would go about putting it together. He just needs to campaign against Obama's vision. If Romney wins, the issues he is avoiding won't haunt him because the Republicans will make sure that we understand the threat "real" of Iran and Korea and we will never talk about changing anything again. BTW, the Bush cuts will be made permanent and new ones will follow. Assorted pro-ife, anti-gay initiatives will take center-stage to provide the nightly entertainment.
Well said B707320C.
It is perfectly rational to look at Barak Obama's poor performance and totalt disregard for law and make the decision that anybody else will be an improvement. When it is this bad it is time for change.
I'm a Republican so I know what Mitt Romney "the Outsourcer", and the Republicans are "up-to".
ROMNEY wants to DESTROY the WORKING and MIDDLE-CLASS and OUTSOURCE as MANY AMERICAN JOBS overseas. That's not just wrong, that's sick.
That's why I'm Encouraging all my Republican friends, and Ron Paul Supporters, and Undecided Independent Voters to VOTE a straight DEMOCRATIC ticket, come this NOVEMBER 2012.
Not only will it be Fun, but we'll teach Mitt Romney and the Republicans, a Lesson they'll Never forget.
The Lesson?
REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR? Never Forget!
REMEMBER GEORGE BUSH and the REPUBLICANS? Never ever Forget!
Last week, under Obama, the Federal Reserve again downgraded expectations for economic growth and the Labor Department revealed there are nearly four unemployed Americans for every new job opening.
MITT ROMNEY IS THE BEST PERSON FOR PRESIDENT. Absolutely.
Near the sea
Poor performance in what way? Stopped what could have been a full depression with 25% unemployed, the health care law that is help to a lot of people just like you and me. How about he killed Bin Laden? What didn't you like?
You stinking rights act like it was Obama that was handed a robust economy, a budget surplus and relative peace. Here is the truth, it was Bush, that had the advantage of following Bill Clinton.
Obamacare Is Hurting Job Creators

“Three years ago, Obama chose to ram through his partisan, job-killing Obamacare legislation rather than focusing his full attention on the economy."
Under Obama 1 out of every 4 citizen workers cannot find a full time job.

What a disgusting excuse for a human being you are but the GOP will embrace you. Says everything there is to say about the Grumpy Old Perverts, doesn't it!

Obama/Biden 2012
Dear Chief Justice Roberts,
I can hardly wait for Thursday, to read your majority decision striking down the individual mandate and with that the very survival of Obamacare.  We as a nation are at a crossroads.  It's there for all to see.  We all watched as Europe's entitlement explosion has pushed it into economic malaise and  near collapse.  Obama wants nothing more but to double down on these failed ideas.
Healthcare is a big issue and needs big ideas, big solutions.  Pelosi, Reid, and Obama put together a pile of crap. Â
We as a country are so much better than this law. Â Hell Obama had to bribe congressmen within his own party to get it passed.
Listen I could go on and on about how awful this law is and how overwhelmingly other Americans agree but what is important is your opinion. Â
You are very well respected Chief Justice Roberts. Â The respect you have is far and away greater than what Obama has left. Â Obama during his campaign and even during the first couple month of his Presidency was afforded with great respect by the American People. Â He was certainly at the outset a dynamic, inspiring speaker. Â Unfortunately, being a dynamic and inspiring speaker only takes you so far. Â
Obama simply has not delivered the "change" we needed. Â His policies, timing were simply wrong. Â We were in an economic crisis and healthcare should not have been the priority. Â And hell if you're gonna make it your priority at least get it right.
Chief Justice please reach dee down within yourself and choose the precise words, penetrating, and resounding words. Â
Your majority opinion must be clear and must flatly state that Obamacare and Obama himself are just no good!

HONEST PEOPLE SAY "NO".
We need to move on, and up, get a new person in office! Mitt Romney.
mas098-1470
O'really
Good one. Mitt the barber has a voting block of of Midwest and redneck white males. They are the ones who have an irrational hatred for the POTUS.
He also has a voting block of Mormons (90% plus) and evangelicals intent on invading the privacy of body orifices.
That about sums up his support. Do you really want to debate rational voters? The Blacks and Hispanics are in it for economic advantage. Mitt's support is based on hate.
If you want to dispute the hate issue, just read the HNIC, dog eater, Keynan, socialist named Hussein posts frequently seen in this forum.
PS;
Justice Roberts please don't lay down when Obama goes after your Court. We have seen just how arrogant a man Obama is. He blames everyone for his own failings. I assume it is something he has done his whole life.
Again, it's one of those things that is there for all to see.
If he starts with you take him to school. He isn't half the intellect you are and certainly not half the man you are.
God speed.

Let's see what is known....
So repubs don't know, what they don't know. And..they admit they don't know , what they don't know, that they don't know. How can they don't know, what they don't know about what they don't know? We do know that they don't know, what they don't know. But they don't care that we all know, that they don't know, that they don't know. If repubs did know, what they don't know, about what they don't know, we would know what they don't know about what they don't know about.

Dec 29, 2008 U.S. corporate earnings probably fell for a sixth-straight quarter, the longest streak in at least 20 years, as consumer spending on automobiles, homes and retailers collapsed.
May 11, 2012 Fortune magazine released its ranking of the 500 biggest US corporations Monday, which showed that they received a record-breaking $824 billion in combined profits in 2011, up 16 percent from 2010.
Published July, 2006:
It is only now, nearly five years after Sept. 11, that the full picture of the Bush administration’s response to the terror attacks is becoming clear. Much of it, we can see now, had far less to do with fighting Osama bin Laden than with expanding presidential power.
hmmm, seems that Barack is not such a stinker when you compare him to the last Republican president. Believe me, when it comes to economic concerns and personal freedoms, NOTHING stinks like a Republican!
Randythemoderate, I have no idea what Mitt would do really, if he were elected President. He will outsource jobs and stash the loot in offshore accounts!
Ok, so Obama may not be liked by Romney voters, That makes perfect sense to me. like that needed to be explained. One thing you can explain to me is this,
1. Romney intends to cut property taxes to the wealthy across this country to save them $1 TRILL
2. He intends to further give them an income tax break.
3. As Gov. of Mass. he created no jobs and raised the state sales tax thus being a 1 term Governor.
4. When asked how he would make up the tax deficit 1. and 2. He had no answer to give. He has not talked on this subject since.
5. Romney is not known to be a job maker. He has ruined companies, jobs, and wrecked peoples lives.
I will say I must go with Obama, He hasn't given the wealthy a break as he knows we need these tax dollars badly. Used to be the wealthy would give a little now know that they would grow big time later. Now a days it's all about I want it now! Quite frankly Romney scares me in more ways than one. I imagine that my property taxes and income tax will go up if Romney is elected. Romney is first and foremost a C E O! He is not Politically Schooled, Trained, and Groomed to be a Politition.
One thing, and too be fair, Romney, or any oher govenor coudln't do squat about propety taxes, because they're a local tax... One doesn't pay this to the IRS. Now he could speak with the various govenors in each of the states, and try to get something through, but it really would become an issue of state's rights, if a President tried to change the laws wrt property taxes...
This would be an area where he, or any other could only weigh in with back stage negotiations, if he were to try to convince each of the various state governments to enact it themself. It would also be a tough sell, with more then a few states going broke.... But, and case in point, govenor Christie could weigh in (no pun intended) on Jersey's highest in nation property taxes, and try to work with the state legislature on this. Obama, or the federal legislature would have no say on the matter, for the state....
Romney is rich, never been poor so he cannot relate to the average American. He can go out and buy anything his heart desires so why does he want to be tagged as the President, only one answer. He wants his name in "LIGHTS" Sorry, but I will stick to my President now, Obama is an honest man who understands the poor and middle class situation. Lets remember, he inherited some of the White House problems, he has tried to fix alot and I think he is to be admired for taking a shot at the Presidency again. You go boy, you have my household vote.
We have never had a pauper for president. Even your favorite 0bama is a millionaire lawyer.
I don't want an unsuccessful person in the white house.
Did you just call the president "boy?"
Why so racist?
I don't think Americans can relate to someone that was raised in Indonesia. They can relate to an American who is the son of someone who lived the American dream.
Like Obamy has to rely on his Governemnt check he gets for destroying America by being President. He bought a $1.5 million house using questionable funding three years before he ran for the Presidency! His last tax returns shows a family income of $4.5 million, not at exactly an income where Moocheele has to sew the holes in his socks so he isn't embarrassed! Yes,he is for the little guy and middle income family, like the 18%(todays WSJ) that are currently unemployed or effectively unemployed!Go get em,Berry!
RedSox, Obama is the epitome of the American Dream--immigrant father, poor working class mother. Put himself through school including Harvard Law. Romney's father achieved the American Dream. Romney himself is a "silver-spoon" kid. Frankly, the last Republican president that was not a "silver-spoon" kid was Ronald Reagan (Ooops, he started life out as a Democrat and headed a union!)
B that's funny. Thank's for a good laugh.
elliot How is calling someone boy being racist? That is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard.
B707, if you knew Obama's real background you would never portray it like you did... wow! Obama has forsaken his 'background' and you should too. The antithesis of the American Dream! Read about it B707, read....
RedSox,
That was pretty bigoted of you. You are saying that Americans cannot relate in anyway to the people of other countries? Maybe you can't but I suspect many people with properly adjusted morals can. If you feel nothing about the tens of thousands dying in Somalia due to famine you need to rethink your assumptions. Humans are humans no matter where they are born, being and American does not make you better then someone born in Libya.
Ted,
White men used to call Black boys "Boy" a lot during the time periods where Blacks were considered a lesser race. Some words have unintended meanings that have been engrained in them by the atrocities that Man has committed.
Gerbil, don't be so ignorant. Someone that grows up in another country simply doesn't share the same ideals.
Just like someone from Libya wouldn't relate to an American's ideals.
Go back to the hamster wheel.
Ya know,Obama paid his student loans off 10 years ago..
RedSox,
You seem to have a reading problem. The handle is Geowil not Gerbil; or were you talking about your favorite kind of pet?
Anyway ideals do not mean squat, they are not a means of measuring how much a person is worth. If you have a Christian and a Muslim both are people and neither is better then the other.
The only thing that distinguishes us is our actions. I would much rather live among Muslims then in a community full of bigots for example. There is nothing wrong with being a Muslim, most are quite normal. However bigots will translate their misbegotten opinions into actions and through those actions they alienate others.
I have known many families that have suffered because of bigots that instead of minding their own business do everything in their power to put them down. A Gay couple I am friends with were forced to move out of their neighborhood, which was predominantly Christian, after their kids started getting talked down to and ostracized. I have known Muslim families that have have their homes or other property defaced.
There is no excuse to claim that treating someone differently because of their heritage is the right thing to do. It does not matter if you are Gay, Muslim, Christian, Asian, Canadian, Russian, a Communist, Liberal, Conservative, nor any other kind of label you wish to apply. Everyone is the same, everyone is Human, everyone deserves to be treated the same way until their personal actions prove otherwise; ideology is not enough.
I am not as arrogant as to assume because I was born in the USA that some how my life is worth more then someone that was born in Pakistan.
Bones
Not exactly. George paid for Mitt's college, but Mitt also started out in a $69 per month apartment. Mitt got the grades, got the job at Bain. He made all his own wealth and when his father died, he donated his inheritance to charity. In a couple of years I'm sure he upgraded his apartment a notch or two just like anybody else.
Gerbil. You crack me up too!
And the $68 per month for his first appartment was a penthouse. Don't forget how great he has always had it. The inheritance that he chose to donate to charity really improved his lot in life.
Near the sea - RedSoxRule is buying the bullsh*t the Romney camp is selling - poor fool. He donated PART of his inheritance to charity - after investing a large sum. He is no more a self-made man than George Bush. But he's just about as intelligent!
Obama/Biden 2012
RedSox is still a birther. Is anyone surprised? Red your lack of intelligence, integrity and honor is only overshadowed by your eagerness to show your absolute stupidity!
Mitt Romney: Falling Consumer Confidence Shows Need For New Leadership
June 26, 2012
Mitt Romney today made the following statement on the news that consumer confidence has fallen for the fourth straight month:
“Today’s report on the decline in consumer confidence is the latest in a string of poor indicators for job growth and the economy. Last week, the Federal Reserve again downgraded expectations for economic growth and the Labor Department revealed there are nearly four unemployed Americans for every new job opening. It’s clear that the American people know President Obama’s policies aren’t working, despite his claim that the private sector is ‘doing fine.’ We need a new direction for our economy, with pro-growth policies that will finally give businesses and consumers the confidence they need to get our country back on the right track.”
ROMNEY CAUGHT with HIRING ILLEGALS!
When Romney was caught hiring Illegal aliens to work on his landscaping, did he just fire them or did he call ICE and have them deported?....We all know the answer to that one don't we! He did nothing! He kept hiring the same firm and did it all over agasin.......Good ol turn em loose Romney. Repubs say illegals are criminals, so Romney is a criminal for hiring them. Christ he is a multimillionaire and he couldn't hire Americans to do the jobs. Had to get a few more pennies from American workers......GREED GREED GREED at your expense.
Published January 11th, 2012:
I had forgotten until the other day that Romney's father, George, an erstwhile 1968 presidential candidate himself, was not actually born in the United States. Instead he was born in the Mormon Colonies in Northern Mexico where his father had fled from Utah, taking his several wives with him, rather than be subjected to the new law forbidding polygamy in Utah.
So if Old George Romney was born in Mexico and then came to the United States, where the Mittster was born, doesn't that make him Mitt of those so-called "anchor babies" that the right wing keeps fuming about?
Is anyone going to bring that up? And have we ever seen Mitt's own birth certificate? And how do we know that he wasn't born in Mexico himself?
Hmmm, no trouble relating to that, eh?
If Romney's father was a presidential candidate, he shouldn't have been, for the same reason Arnold Shwartzeneger (sp?) would be bared from the presidency. In that case, it would have been most reasonable to demand a raised seal birth certificate from him... This wouldn't impact Romney (the current one though), natural born citizen would apply this time around...
Now on the OP, no someone like Romney couldn't relate to the average American's experience, based on any experience he's had in this lifetime. And it would also be incorrect to say that every president was born with a silver spoon in his mouth (as Romney was)... I don't believe Abraham Lincoln was born wealthy, and he had become, tbh one of the more revered presidents in this nation's history... He became wealthy, but started out in much humbler conditions...
This article strengthens the old saying"don't believe everything you read!"Most polls have both candidates dead even in Key states and Romney ahead in previously Obamy states of Nevada,Wisconsin and Arizona! The gap is tightening in PA and Florida. The gloating,by the White House based msnbc, will turn to frowns as the election gets lcoser.Romney fund rasing has out proformed Obamy and Obamy is spending more than he currently takes! Hell, the Dims just moved their convention to a smaller venue and ,so far, 12 dim(there are a lot) members of Congress boast they will not be attending the big get together! Yea,it looks really good for Obamy in November!
Who cares if they are being out spent. All that money is just going to go to attack ads anyway. Mitt's ad record speaks volumes on that. He would rather put all his money into tearing down an opponent then lifting himself up to his opponents level.
It just highlights what everyone already knows to be true, we have way too much money in politics. In fact any private money without the name of the donor attached should be banned. Does not matter if it comes from Soros or the Koch's; the citizens deserve the right to know who is buying their candidate.
It will probably take them until election day before they change their tune then it will just change to disbeleive.
remember pearl harbor? so never forget.
remember george bush, dick cheney, haliburton, and blackwater?
so never ever forget.
Here's anothe one! A Ronald Reagan quote:
Mitt Romey, "Tear down that Wall" of Hiding your undeserved loot in Hidden Swiss Bank accounts, and in those phony off-shell Cayman Island compainies, and only paying a 15% tax-rate on the money you do show, when the rest of us pay much more.
Romney wants to Destroy the Working and Middle class.

Obama and his minions created 800,000 (probably more like 10,000,000) work permits for illegal in the U.S. How many jobs did they create to go to the permit holders? Wait till that backlash comes. Promise anything, do anything to get votes; those mushrooms won't notice what has happened until long after the election.
VI
Take a look at the imbalance between unemployment and education. Mitt the barber wants to staple a green card to every college diploma earned by a non-citizen. The unfilled jobs are the ones requiring post high school education. The unemployed lack to skills to clear the market.
If you pursue the policy or denying education to US residents, you will only extend the unemployment problem.
Washington, Jan 26, 2007: United States President George W Bush has made out a strong case for expanding the H1B visa programme, which allows foreign professionals to work in the US and whose main beneficiaries include computers engineers and highly-skilled technicians from India.
While speaking at a DuPont unit in Wilmington, Delaware, recently, on his plan for encouraging development of the alternative sources of energy, he referred to his Tuesday night's ''State of Union Address'' in which he talked about the need for a comprehensive immigration reform bill.
President Bush said, ''I also want you to know I understand that we need to make sure that when a smart person from overseas wants to come and work in DuPont, it's in our interests to allow him or her to do so.'' He added, ''We've got to expand what's called H1B visas.'' He said he knew that the US lawmakers were aware of this problem.
''I'm looking forward with Congress to do just that. It makes no sense to say to a young scientist from India, you can't come to America to help this company develop technologies that help us deal with our problems.'' Therefore, he pointed out, the US had to amend the laws, apparently to remove the hurdles that come in the way of hiring foreign professionals. ''So we've got to change that, as well, change that mind set in Washington, DC.,'' the President said.
Yep! Them Republicans are all for American workers, ain't they?
Obama and Romney in a dead heat? What a load. The spread is 8 points...46% Romney, 46% Obama and 8% uncommitted. In every election since 1964 the vast majority of the uncommitted vote (92% of it) went against the incumbent. Do you know what that means? 54% Romney 46% Obama and that my libtard friends is a greater margin than the vote that swept jimmy Carter into obscurity in 1980.
Get ready, the orchestra is warming up and they are not playing Barack obama's tune!
Obamy only has this miracle lead in this poll! All other polls have it too close to call!
Anyone here ever wonder WHY every elections since 04 has been a dead heat?..The news media wants it that way to keep their business humming..I personally am getting tired of it how about anyone else?
Dave, I think you are on to something. No one that I know, including those who voted or Obama in 2008, are expressing any support for the economy killer.
Well, generally 5% of the voters like the democratic candidate, 5% of the voters like the republican candidate, and 90% of the voters want someone else.
Dasvet - you don't know many people do you? Not anyone I know would pull the lever for Romney - they'd sit home first.
Obama/Biden for the good of the US!
Obama/Biden for the good of the USSR, maybe. I am in contact with hundreds of people weekly, through church, civic organizations, and arranging retirement get togethers. I am retired and have plenty of time to travel and meet people all over the country. That involves a few folks. I have to confess one friend did say that as bad as Obama has done on his job, he was still going to vote for him in November. The same group were about 50/50 in 2008. Obama is in deep doo-doo in November.
But of course. The alternative is so much worse!
...the numbers for Bush's last three months. Between October and November, 597,000 jobs were lost; between November and December, 681,000 were lost; and between December and January, 741,000 were lost.

Romney is simply Bush III. So far the only thing he has been clear about is more tax cuts for the wealthy. Everything else, well...:
SCHIEFFER: You haven’t been bashful about telling us you want to cut taxes. When are you going to tell us where you’re going to get the revenue? Which of the deductions are you going to be willing to eliminate? Which of the tax credits are you going to — when are you going to be able to tell us that?
ROMNEY: Well, we’ll go through that process with Congress as to which of all the different deductions and the exemptions —
Don't forget that the Dems took over the House and Senate in 2007, bringing on Barney and Christopher Dodd (DUD)
If this is true, then all I can say is MONEY CAN BUY A LOT OF BALONEY AND MIS-INFORMATION on the Part of Mitt Romney.
The issue will remain the economy, but it will be interesting to see whether any candidate will have the courage to admit that the US is in deep doo-doo and that any major rebound will take a decade to work through.

Romney has very little more campaign cash than Obama, if any. Obama doesn't need as much cash, since the mainstream carries his water for him, at no cost. They just love him so much, they can't hide it.
We are getting there one group at a time. We have the generational welfare government-dependents who are helplessly hooked on government handouts, we have the illegals (especially the Mexicans) with promises of more hope and change--give them hope that they will have some change in their pockets--and Muslims...now, if only we could come up with a lie to attract those gun-toting Christian nuts.
I can already see a Republican President, Senate, House, and Supreme Court. If this happens:
Women. You have nobody to blame but yourselves when you let a bunch of Puritan men tell you what you can do with your body. When they don't view you as equal partners. When the creed of their religion is that a woman must be subservient to her husband (the same guys who have destroyed this country). When you are told how to act, what to say, how to think.
Blacks & Hispanics. You have nobody to blame but yourselves when you continue being forced down to the lowest common denominator of society. When you are sold bills of goods and then have the Puritans take it away after it has been given.
College students. You have nobody to blame but yourselves when they have preached for years that anyone can get ahead, but do everything in their power to see that doesn't happen. Wait until Pell Grants are abolished. Wait until they let the banks drive the loan interest rate up until you will be of retirement age before paying them off. Wait until you graduate from college only to find rather than creating any jobs, those in power are choosing to keep the money to themselves. Wait until the only ones attending college are those whose wealthy families can afford to pay for it.
Unemployed. You have nobody to blame but yourselves if you let those in power devalue your existence. Funny, while corporations scream to the public they can't hire, they also scream to their shareholders about their record profits, largely due to not only firing, but not hiring. They say there is no demand. Well, there is no demand without people having jobs to create demand. The chicken or the egg.
Unions. The hell with you. Time to go.
If the first four groups would just get out and vote in November, Obama will win by a landslide. The only people who do not benefit by Obama winning are those having the most.
By the way, trickle down has been proven to be a failure. The thought that wealth creation by a few creates jobs in our country is simply a lie.
Robin, you need to get out more, or you need to ask your doctor to increase the dosage.
Throwing out the unions are you? They have planned to contribute $135,000,000 to $150,000,000 to Obamy relection efforts! Why do you think they support him so much? The Boeing fiasco? The GM and Chrysler fiascos?,The Teacher unions fiasco?,The public employee unions Fiasco? Should I keep going ?
Sorry dipwad. No medical insurance, so no meds. Sorry dipwad two. Corporations are now real live people and they will far outspend anything a union will spend.
Unions place in society is at an end. My comments said nothing about campaign financing.
Robin you are correct we are responsible for our own sucess. You can work and go to night school are you can joing the military and get the gi bill. You can start working real hard on your grades in school maybe you will get a scholarship. If you joing the miltary you will have health insurance as long as you live. Unless you get kicked out for a dishonarble discharge. It would be wise to depend on yourself to get where you want to be because eventualy the well will run dry.
And most of all ...Notice how HISTORY HAS A TENDENCY TO REPEAT ITSELF
Capitalism created the wealth we have. What little wealth the poor have in this country will continue to erode under Progressive policies.
No, capitalism created a wealth we no longer have and never really had in the first place. This has been a wealth mirage created in the very early 80's and the fraud is being perpetrated to this day by a very few.
Robin - clearly the Last Brain left has no brain.
Obama/Biden 2012
Wealth for the 1%, that in no way filters down to those on the bottom. If Romney wins we will take a step back, back into the failed Bush years and yes he is a failure at every thing he has tried to do in his life. Obama did not inherit a robust economy, a budget surplus, relative peace that was Bush. Obama was handed a mess and took steps to keep it from getting any worse then it did. He got Bin Laden and he got the AHA passed. Regardless of what you say, or what the supreme court says those are facts. All are Achievements along with many other things he has done in spite of the Grover Norquist/teapublican parties continued opposition to everything.
John if you work hard you to can be succesful. You dont have to wait for a handout you can do it if you want it bad enough. The fact is nobody is going to give you a pile of money. Now you can sit back and take the lazy route and get a few crumbs here and there, but its ultimatly left up to you. Many people were raised dirt poor but they worked hard and saved and did with out to become wealthy. Many people worked during the day and went to night school at night. The great thing about this country is we have the opputunity to pursue happinest. Some people are happy without a pile of money some want it all.
Obama OUTSOURCING our jobs away.........
Obama campaign uses company with operations in India and China to book travel
Anti-citizen Obama strikes again.......
Well, well, well. Let's see. I can't believe the poster above me uses that name to post under along with Obama's name. Me thinks the F.B.I. and Secret Service may be looking up your IP address and checking you out. That sorta sounds like a threat to me, a concerned citizen.
Hussein's campaign is DEAD and Romney's is HEATING Up! There's your real "Dead Heat."
now...who in the world is going to believe a left wing freak network NBC poll...?????
it should say Romney UP by 15% by now....
Left wing freak? Is this all you can muster...name-calling? This is exactly the kind of rhetoric and intolerance that keeps our political machine (left, right, and all in between) broken.
Generic Congressional Ballot: Republicans 44%, Democrats 39%
You know it!

Gallop poll 6/14/12...68% of all Americans blame Bush for the economy mess, even 50% of repubs do too!
72% of all Americans say the rich should be paying more taxes.

Due to U.S. presidential candidate Mitt Romney's past involvement with Bain Capital, the company has been the subject of recent press reports.[4]
My sister in law was a executive secretary @ Bain & Co...in 1983
It's hard to take a poll with a D+12 (with leaners) sample seriously. It's even harder to accept Obama is in the lead in any manner when such a skewered sample still produces a lead within the margin of error.
Even PPP admits Obama is tanking in OH and VA.
...
giving a good speech does NOT run a country...
sorry obuma.....
as we have found OUT...
Talking baloney & flip-flopping does NOT run a country.....sorry Gov. Romney........as we are finding out.
MITT ROMNEY! The best chance the United ( divided under Obama) States has!
Mitt Romney: President Obama Has The Wrong Priorities
June 26, 2012
according to the Reich wing teathugs Obama is the worst and most unpopular President ever......
if that's true.......why isn't mittens WAY ahead?
because he's a LOSER just like the party he's a member of
Romney is ahead. MSNBC only reports polls that either show the race as close or Obama ahead.
according to the EIB network he's ahead
but these two source differ
http://www.electoral-vote.com/
http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/
but those are projected electoral vote..remember, that's how W won in 2000. losing the popular vote but winning the electoral count by a supreme court ruling
..Obuma and democraps ....thinking on debt is like...
let's hold hands, close our eyes, click heels 3 times and say.." country's debt will go away" "country's debt will go away"
"country's debt will go away"
this prolly from howard dipstick dean...
So, all people on the left side of the political spectrum are the same? By that logic, I guess all people on the right side are the same. Have you ever read anything about in-group/out-group psychology, groupthink, and group polarization? If not, you should.
As opposed to Republican thinking on the debt?
O'Neill said he tried to warn Vice President Dick Cheney that growing budget deficits-expected to top $500 billion this fiscal year alone-posed a threat to the economy. Cheney cut him off. "You know, Paul, Reagan proved deficits don't matter," he said.
Way down upon the Obamy River,so far,far away!
Partisan politics is killing this country...it draws out the zealots on the radical left and the radical right. We have too many citizens and politicians thinking that they are right; this blinds them and they cannot see how wrong things are. What American, in his or her right mind, is proud of where this country is right now? Really, look at education, health care, retirement, employment, and infrastructure. We are world leaders no more in any of these categories. When you are done blaming Obama and Bush, you will see that we are still in the same boat. No one person is to blame. Our collective, blind, and foolish belief that America is the best is the mistake we have made. For political representation, choose the person who is a true patriot...someone who honestly acknowledges that the USA is circling the bowl instead of using spin, rationalization, and political rhetoric. Until we band together and dispense with all of the blind allegiance to the flag bull$hit, we are going to get a lot more of the same.
You speak true. Right now libs are "proud" of the country because there is a democrat in office (more specifically a minority), this is all that matters to them. The country has been falling off a cliff for a while now, i blame bad politics on both sides and liberalism in society, there is no more accountability and absolutely no respect for other people.
Trudat
Ya, there's a ton wrong on both sides of the political fence. When I lived in Canada, I preached how wonderful the USA is. Now that I am living back in the State, I'm embarrassed to be an American. Internationally, very few respect us b/c we are so full of it.
I could not agree more Troy..we really are the laughingstocks of the rest of the world.
TRUdat....the president is an AMERICAN.............to point out his race makes you nothing but a tiny man who feels less of himself because you serve under the president. Nothing but a racist........and a tiny man..
Sad commentary for obama. If it werent for the idiots that will only vote party lines then he'd be gone. All you libs that dont care about the country or its citizens are failing the country as badly as obama is, kudos.
I have an advanced degree and a successful career in the private sector. I've never voted for a Republican in my life because none have ever given me a reason to. Like many people on either side of the spectrum, I have a point of view that the opposite side of doesn't address.
The sad part is the calumny and approbation heaped on me and millions like me because we happen to be liberals. Just because we don't agree with the right wing doesn't mean that we are treasonous villains who hate America and seek to undermine the Constitution at every turn. (No one ever explains why this would be the case.)
The state of the political discourse is an actual problem. A good start repairs would be to not call people idiots.
PK, I dont think liberals want to destroy the Constitution. Neither do Republicans but I think that, judging from his actions, Obama does.
The only group in America that wants to destroy the Constitution is the religious right wing that thinks ALL Americans should believe in what their religious text tells them is the truth.
Do not realize that America was built around the many dieties of the ancient world so that all could think of theirself as being bold and strong instead of being being weak and shameful before a man named Jesus that they hung on a cross for their self loathing.
If it wasn't for the Constitution of the United States of America. Americans would not have the choice to believe as they choose to believe which would make America a one religion country dominated by the mandates of a single religion which is no different than Communist China.
Student loan crisis...This is an excellent example of "never let a good crisis go to waste; if you need a crisis and don't have one, create it." that came out of the Obama White House in his first year there.
The student loan crisis reminds me of an old friend who became a dedicated drunk. When the head shrink ask him, "You have a drinking problem don't you, son?" old alcoholic friend replied, "No, doctor. I always can get a drink when I want one." Almost any student can get a loan when he/she wants it; that has become somewhat of an addiction for many of them. Now they want to be absolved of their sin. These are the adults who will be taking the reigns of government and industry in your country.
