When Obama... no, when WE state that the private sector is fine, the part of the private sector we're talking about is the very sector the GOP wants to advantage in every move they make. Look at wall street investors... rich and richer since the great recession. The upper 10%? Rich and richer having actually gained net worth since the start of the great recession... this versus the "lower 90%" losing 30% net worth. Big business "private sector" is either banking the profits or paying out to themselves instead of investing in new business or in expansion. And you know what? No reasonable person can blame them for that. (that hurt)

Big business is rightfully taking advantage of pent up technology advances and the "employer's market" by hiring fewer and cheaper labor. No one but the naive expects them to incur unnecessary expenses or to otherwise run themselves out of business "for the sake of the economy". We need strong businesses and they need to keep doing what they do best. (that hurt even more)

But, that said, Republicans need to either realize or admit that the environment for business... other than the demand side of the equation... is the best it's been in known history. They are advantaged by the lowest taxes ever, the most incentives ever, the strongest "employer's market" since the great Depression, the strongest set of business tools ever, and a bull market in a bear environment. And those failing Euro and Asian economies? It's eliminating American competition like never before. Yes, the business platform side of business is strong. (I'm one of them)

That brings us to demand. All business needs is patience versus greed. Sucking more money out of this economy for themselves will ultimately net less business and less money... it's simple math. It IS simple math, but requires each business to un-politicize and to stop demonizing and otherwise depressing their own potential clients. With the fall of global demand, the ONLY demand we can foster is consumer confidence. Our economic strength is ours to lose. (it's the truth)

And consumers are fickle. Confusion breeds negativity and lowers confidence, then demand, then our economy. Truth and knowledge breeds confidence and certainty, and builds demand, and our economy.

So who drives a better economy, Obama or Romney? I say it's the one with the "people" touch. Others say it's the one one with the "business" touch. But, in reality, it will be either or neither and based less on physical approach and mostly on the confidence they can instill.

Stripping Unions of their right to organize and removing labor laws will further empower employers to reduce wages, cut hours, and force Americans into slave labor: working harder for less and less while their employers maximize profits.

The end result is eliminate the middle class, and push everyone in poverty...except for the wealthiest elite.

No that's not true and pretty slanderous. The mormons are expected to do so as part of being a "good mormon" but it is voluntary except that to not do so would incur social wrath. There is no legal basis for a church to garnish its member's wages.

Good for Jerry Brown for insisting on union employees of public libraries! Privatized libraries (like privatized prisons) is a dangerous path. They may seem economical in the beginning, but then it becomes time for profits to be made, employee salaries to be slashed, they end up costing states more than public libraries, and books need to be approved by Koch Industries in order to be on the shelves.

The President doesn't "hates successful, wealthy people", he just thinks that they shouldn't have a big problem in helping the society that has helped them be successful. you see, contrary to the 'job creator' mentality, those Hollywood types supporting the president understand that if joe and jane 6-pack don't go to their movies/ concerts/ watch their programs, their salary is going to drop significantly in a hurry. It is in their best interest that the vast majority of the country's citizens are able to afford their product. Subsequently, the 'job creators' can't do anything if the majority of the country can't buy their product, and this is why trickle down theory is flawed. The engine of the economy isn't the top, it is the middle/lower class. you eliminate the middle/lower class' ability to have discretionary income and you instantly cut the heart out of the economic engine. with no demand, supply doesn't have value, and everything spirals down the tubes.

Kevin Clancy in WI was convicted on November of 2010 on one charge of "Falsely Procuring Voter Registration as Part to a Crime." Basically he submitted multiple forms for one person for review to meet an ACORN quota.

In Feb of 2012, Charlie White (Indiana Secretary of State) was convicted on 6 of 7 felony charges of fraud for statements made on his voter registration.

Minnesota has multiple convictions for felons that voted (no specification on who they voted for) after being improperly registered.

In none of these cases would "having an ID" made a difference as all convictions were registration issues and NOT multiple votes or illegal immigrants.
