Don’t speak… “Across the country, something is missing from the campaign ads of men and women running for Congress: the word ‘Congress,’” The Washington Post writes, adding, “There are years when incumbents can tout their experience and legislative achievements as they seek reelection. This is not one of those years, as the approval ratings of the gridlocked Congress have begun to approach the popularity of pond scum among an increasingly disenchanted electorate. The result is that consultants and strategists who run congressional campaigns appear to be employing some artful ad copy to avoid mentioning that their candidates are members of Congress.”
Is Obama just baiting the House GOP with his moves on immigration and executive privilege?

.IT! Congress certainly is.
The Teapublican obstruction is already well known, for example blocking passage of a long-term transportation bill (because this would help create certainty and jobs), and over-reach, such as the debt ceiling debacle, and now the contempt garbage against AG holder -- But a few recent observations:
1) Romney's VP vetting process and realization that there are NO Republicans in congress with foreign policy credentials to help off-set Romney's ignorance.
2) The farm bill -- at nearly a trillion in SPENDING and not one Teabagger protest against it. Or for that matter Occupy protesting against this absurd handout to corporate agriculture and huge cuts to food stamps for children and the elderly in order to pay for this corporate welfare.
3) Who is bought and paid for the most? Look at the Dimon/JP Morgan hearing, and it's obvious the Teapublicans are in debt to CEOs like him and Wall Street--right along with agriculture and the farm bill to the Koch brother Big Oil (and Keystone pipeline), to you name it. Instead of hearings in which hedge fund managers are hauled in front of congress and grilled for nearly destroying our country, Teapublicans are wasting tax dollars on a witch hunt against the Attorney General. This is what they do instead of creating jobs and helping the American people. It's pathetic, despicable, and un-American.
The 2012 election will be more than just a choice between the same failed GOP/TP voodoo economics, but also the Teapublican trend toward an oligarchy. Voting for a plutocrat like Romney, who along with his crony capitalists believe large inequality between rich and poor is the way things should be, would be the most damaging thing voters could do.
BTW -- If the SCOTUS throws out any part of ACA, everyone is ready to go to work on single-payer.
kick the pubs out. pull the dem lever and lets get this country going again.
Republicans in the House have been passing legislation only to have Dems in the Senate table them and take no action. Which is the real do nothing party?
Bill-2910238 -- You have Kool-Aid stains around your mouth. You might want to look in the mirror and try to clean up.
I plan to vote out Party line MARY BONO !
I used to live n the Palm Springs area. I think Mary Bono is a nice person but she is someone who votes the way that she is told. I can also remember her being in favor of term limits so it is probably time for her to go. Still, I think she is less horrible than my Congress critter, Devin F'n Nunes. No chance of voting Nunes out as I live in a teabag part of California.
I have lived here 8 years and she hasn't done a dam thing other then collect a paycheck ..There is a huge backlash against her of people who don't believe for a minute ..she still lives in Palm Springs .. We need term limits to kick these "BUMS" out ! No retirements and no benefits !
You must have moved to PS right about the time I bailed. As far as I'm concerned, Bono outed herself as a rubber stamp when she voted with the mob to impeach Clinton. It was about 97* here, must be kicking 110* in the ass in PS. I'll take our cooler summers.
President Obama is baiting the house tea people Koch republicans and the media. He's so out in front of the media it's getting funnier every day. The media is going to have to quit following Fox (aka tea people Koch republican propaganda machine) President Obama is making them look foolish. He did the same thing to the media in 2008, and left them with egg all over their face.
You mean the tea people Koch republican voters believe they're condidates aren't running for the office their running for, their running for something else. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!
bulletstopper - we WILL vote all the GOP bums out. They've done nothing but be obstructionists. The US deserves better than having those far right idiots in office!
