This left me hanging out in the open, a perfect target. Rassmann said he recommended Kerry for the Silver Star for that action, and learned only later that the Bronze Star had been awarded instead.

I read Brinkley's "Tour of Duty" and unlike the bobber found the biography of Kerry interesting. Douglas Brinkley is a nonpartisan biographer who researches facts and writes the truth. The swiftboaters were funded by a right-wing multi-billionaire who simply wanted to publish lies because he knew Kerry would beat Bush without it. Kerry almost did, too.
