BRUNSWICK, Ohio -- While Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney campaigned across the battleground state of Ohio Sunday, he has his family standing by his side this Father’s Day.
“Let's wish a happy Father's Day to my dad,” Craig, one of Romney’s sons, told the cheering, rain-soaked crowd. “Happy Father’s Day.”
Kicking off the third day of Romney’s “Every Town Counts” tour, Romney and his wife, Ann, plus two sons, daughter-in-law, and a handful of grandkids served up pancakes at a breakfast here.
“We love to help my dad and my mom and any chance we get to fly and meet up with them we just love to do it,” Romney’s other son in attendance, Matt, told the several hundred people at Mapleside Farms. Matt went on to fondly tell a story about how his dad helped his pregnant wife when she was on bed rest.
“He [Mitt] spliced the cable, built a TV cabinet, put a TV upstairs went and found someone who could help her do errands and got this all arranged in a matter of like 30 minutes,” Matt said. “I just look at that…he taught me to be both a father and a husband."
While the two sons shared insight on Romney’s personal side this Father’s Day, the all-but-certain GOP nominee continued to jab his competitor -- President Barack Obama.
“It looks like the sun is coming out,” Romney said as he began his nearly 20-minute speech just as the rain clouds parted. “I think that’s a metaphor for the country, the sun is coming out guys. Three and a half years of dark clouds are about to part and it’s about to get a little warmer around this country, little brighter.”
Romney promises to seek immigration reform law
The Buckeye State is setting up to be the site of a fierce battle between Romney and Obama in this fall’s election. This visit marks Romney’s second visit to the state just this week and is a state Ohio GOP Sen. Rob Portman says the president should be spending more time in.
“We’re concerned for our families, our state, for our country. We’re concerned because we have a president of the United States who doesn’t know how to turn things around,” Portman, a Romney supporter and highly speculated vice presidential candidate, told the crowd while introducing Romney. “Folks he [Obama] needs to spend less time in Hollywood at fundraisers and more time with small businesses here in the state of Ohio.”
Romney served pancakes with Ann while Portman poured the syrup. The trio and Romney's two sons will all continue campaigning across Ohio on Father’s Day – two more events are planned Sunday in Newark and Troy.

If you are trying to convince that Romney would be better than Obama then you just need to go look at his record in Massachusetts and also his plan to go back into Bush politics and the Ryan plan for the wealthy if he is elected. Massachusetts 47th out of fifty states and he is trailing in the polls there 59 to 34 percent tells a lot about what they think there.
Obama has created 4.3 million jobs in the private sector or exactly the same amount Bush lost in the last six months of his Presidency. It is not easy to get out of the mess that bush left this country in although progress has been made. He has also passed a health care plan that if people have intelligence to understand would realize how much it would help this countries health care system in the next five or ten years. He has virtually destroyed our worst terrorist enemy and continues to knock out anyone who takes the job as lead of that organization. He ended the stupidest war we have ever been in and is trying to get us out of another both started by Republicans at a cost of two trillion dollars. He has made student loans more accessible to college students and has helped them financially in their effort to get an education. There is still a lot of job growth to come if congress will get off their lazy butts and pass some of the bills that are low cost and would create about 1.5 million jobs.
Romney will be weaker than Bush and hopefully he want get the chance to bring back all that Bush crap as we'll lose the 4.3 million jobs Obama has created in the first six months of his Presidency and this recession will become a full blown depression. So stop with the Romney crap he has no record of ever doing anything effective except making a lot of money by destroying companies and making himself and his associates and investors richer. Other than that the only thing he is known for is building car elevators.

Santorum believes that Romney is a lying rat. A rat that will say anything, do anything just to get into the White House. Santorum has an inside track on Romney that he is unable to divulge because of his position as a loyal Republican.
The ward is, Romney has been in the pocket of large corporations and he has make a deal with them to drop the corporate tax rate to 16%. This would allow those corporations to bring their money back into the US, and get out of the unstable banks and markets of Europe and the Far East. Santorum would not play ball with Romney because he knows that as President he cannot lead this country with a tax rate of 16%. George Bush did a lot worse almost destroyed the auto industry and gave Wall Street such a free reign that without a bail out a depression was totally impossible to avoid. He also with his 8 years of tax policies created an atmosphere where the private sector lost 4.1 million jobs in the last six months of his Presidency. Now comes Romney with a plan to go back to exactly the plans of George Bush with more tax cuts for the wealthy and the Ryan plan of destroying the poor and middle class. If you think the economy is bad now wait until the Ryan plan is implemented and People get their social security checks and food stamps cut. The disabled lose their SSI then more jobs will go as even Walmart will be laying off people because of the lack of business.

Bill Clinton supports this plan....and is not at all in favor of Obama's economic policies.

Unemployment is actually down from 9.9 percent to 8.1 percent since Obama took office. I admit he hasn't got it down enough, but there is no way I would ever vote for any candidate with the plan to go back to the Bush plan and also the Ryan plan as an strategy to solve the unemployment problem. We'll be back to 9.9 percent within six months of implementing these plans of action. It is much better to stay the course of slow but steady progress than no progress at all. Pass a couple of bills and unemployment will be 7 percent by September and the Republicans know it. They have no intention of helping middle class America and at least Obama is trying to help. Your here calling everybody dopes because it is obvious you have no intelligence to see the real truth. Actually...unemployment is up to 8.3% from the 8.1% you offer and how about the Long Term Unemployment which is for those that have dropped off from the Unemployment stats.
Long term Unemployed is twice the level it was at any other time since the Great Depression.

Still the fact remains that the economy has recovered the jobs lost from George Bush's last six months as President and we'll get to 7 or even six with Obama in another term. We'll go back to ten with Romney.

The things that make America great: Good paying union jobs, public schools, social security, medicare. All things that republicans hate and want to get rid of.
No when your President you try to do what the majority of Americans want you to do in every case that you can. That is what President Obama does and well some people will just have to be mad and vote for Romney and his plans to take us back to the Bush years, a depression, and the Ryan plan. I want be voting for any of that slow progress is better than going backwards to those days passed.
It is not that they are all good but certainly most are now necessary because of the model that has been built over the last fifty years.

The vast majority of the country is against Obama's Health Care plan.
They want be if it is ever implemented. It is getting the same bad Republican propaganda that Social Security got when it was implemented now it would be impossible to stop that plan although republicans borrowing for wars have really hurt a stable plan. People that don't want the plan must like high health insurance rates and the ability to pay for everyone that doesn't have a health plan. Someone is gonna pay so if your not required to have health insurance then someone else will pay that bill and that will be employees and employers. If the plan continues I guarantee that in five to ten years people will be for it in a very large majority just like social security has risen in popularity since it was first passed many years ago.
That is nothing but conjecture and speculation.
The cost of medical care has sky rocketed since the law was passed.
People that cannot afford medical insurance will be fined by the IRS anywhere from $1500 to $3000 if they do not have coverage.

I think everyone is for change that makes sense and Romney's plan for America makes no sense it has been tried and failed. There are some bills on the table now that the Republican congress could pass that would really help everyone, but they are not gonna help so they are saying the change has to be the failed policies of the past or we'll just sit and wait to see who gets elected.

There is such a thing as Congress who is suppose to write legislation and assist in Governing? Oh that's right, there number one job is to make Obama a one term President. Not to create a climate for economic development. Mitt is an everyday guy who doesn't even know is building an elevator in one of his houses for his cars! This is what you said in one of your posts looks like a lot of anger to me if your ideas are not upheld and bowed down to. I'll be voting Obama and I feel great about that choice he represents my ideals for America as far as women's rights, gay rights, illegals that were brought here as children who have been here all their lives. His plans for taxing the rich, rebuilding our infrastructure, and keeping religion out of politics. I don't need to argue with self centered conservatives who see themselves as the true Americans especially the white men of the party, who think of themselves as the elite of American culture and should have a higher standard in society than women, black, Latins, or any other person. I am a white male and I find it repulsive that the middle class and older white males of the Republican party seem to be the ones trying to suppress women's rights, people's right to vote, people's right to the same civil rights they enjoy. Without the middle class and older white males the Republican party as is their policies today will cease to exist and that end is coming. The Republican party will either change or the changing population of this country will change it for them and that day is coming with every passing year.
I never attacked Mitt Romney or his family although his policies suck and he will be another bad president. To say conservatives have never attacked Obama in much worse ways would certainly make a liars out of a lot of right people that visit this page. Attacks happen on both sides and saying liberal or moderates are the only ones just shows lack of sound judgement.
